We had an absolutely delightful stay at the George Washington Inn and Estates Janet and Dan were gracious hosts The rooms were impeccably clean, with luxurious towels, linens, and pillows

The shower had great pressure and the huge jacuzzi tub was a special treat Breakfasts were filling and the chocolate chip cookies were always appreciated The view to the ocean is spectacular We saw two bald eagles flying by and the sunset was spectacular I would highly recommend

Great cabins! Great views! Nice location! Cabin 8 was very large with it’s own fire pit We also had people stay in cabin 3 and 4 Cabin 4 was fog friendly and decorated to reflect that sith special touches

Cabin 3 was a very cute 1 bedroom with large living space and great views Saw a harbor seal in the morning playing in the bay Great vacation!

We stayed in a RV spot for 6 days in our 42 foot fifth wheel We did not use the laundry or restroomsPros: lots of open green space, the marina across the street is gorgeous and has more green space, on a quiet road, beautiful grounds, camp host always out working to maintain the park, friendly staff, allowed late check out, good hookups, close to odt trail, we biked 2 miles on the odt trail to the pickleball courts in sequim at Carrie Blake park ( gorgeous park and courts), nice gift shop, great Amazon package delivery, picnic tables at every site, community fire pits with complimentary wood, quiet, friendly residents, Bocci court, playground, stream, badminton net, horse shoes, Friday night bingo, restaurant in the marina is decent and convenient to walk toCons: sites have a very slite grade to them, but easily manageable

Quite a few older campers ( doesn’t bother me, but some people do Their sites were still very clean), no good Sam discountWe loved our stay and wish we could’ve stayed longer They book up quick So make your reservation well in advance We would totally stay there again and recommend to others

I’m always on the look out for places to stay that are pet friendly and well appointed The suite had everything we could have needed, was very clean and had lots of space to spread out with nice views Whoever did the design work has a great eye and there were clever little details like the flecks of stone in the countertop that glowed in the dark! Although we used the cottages for a quick stay before boarding the ferry the following morning we will certainly return for a longer stop again!

Tara P

We loved our stay here! We stayed in a cottage with a bedroom, living room area, and kitchen Whoever decorated did an amazing job – it was so well done and such an adorable place The cottage had board games, tv, wifi, and a great water view (+ beach access)

It was perfect for a weekend getaway We’ll be back for sure Highly recommend!

The rooms have recently been freshened with new paint, linens and was very comfortable The carpet didn’t appear to be new but was in good condition and clean The rooms overlook the harbor which is nice

The downside was the pool and hot tub were covered with tarps and it’s unclear if they were going to upgrade them or remove them My family always enjoy the pool and hot tub when we stay there and were disappointed they weren’t available

B Baylon

Stayed for a couple of nights April 2022 for a much needed break for my wife Booked directly and save some money Hotel was a couple of miles away from the downtown area

You can walk in the summer but we drove because it was chilly Clean and suited our needs with plenty of supplies and adequate breakfast Internet speed is very good My only concern was that the room was a bit dark

NO ELEVATOR! Really? I expected more from a Red Lion Hotel Our room (a king suite), was pretty nice with a very comfortable bed & there was plenty of room for the family to come visit there The pool was nice & very popular with families

There were some really good spots outside to enjoy the scenery & fresh air There are also plenty of hanging baskets full of beautiful flowers Breakfast (7AM – 9AM) & the 24/7 complementary refreshments & snacks were the highlight

Thom Stoddert

We stayed there in April and the kids still ask to go back The atmosphere was more like a resort with the staff (all of them) being more than just friendly The breakfast was reasonable and the over all accommodations were also well kept

The grandchildren and ourselves made friends easily with the other guest who all seemed to be enjoying themselves In the end we regretfully had to leave after three days

jessica Jackson

we stayed here one night after we went to the Olympic game farm it’s 15 minutes away it’s in a Great location and staff is welcoming

I gave it 4 stars for 2 reasons The heated pool wasn’t very warm and yer couldn’t check in early The earliest you can check in is 2 besides those two reasons, the hotel was great awesome location, comfy beds, nice rooms and an excellent Free breakfast

What a great property and host! My siblings and our spouses from all over the country had a reunion at Greenhouse Inn by the Bay Our experience couldn’t have been better! The inn is so cozy and welcoming, it’s actually better in person than the pictures It’s a perfect location for seeing everything there is to see in the area

We especially enjoyed our breakfast timedelicious food and visiting with Craig who we felt was like a part of the family by the end of our stay! Don’t hesitate to choose Greenhouse Inn by the Bay when in the area We hope to make it back someday!

We stayed here 6/18, 19 & 20 in 2022 The room was immaculately clean and comfortable There are lovely places to sit throughout the home, including a fairly sizable green house

The view of the Dungeness spit and sunsets were amazing and I looked forward to looking through the moncular every morning to see the seals during low tide The breakfasts were delicious However, the best part of staying here was the wonderful insights and suggestions we got from Craig and Michelle about the area They were so informative and always interested in what we had seen the day before The other bonus was meeting other guests over breakfast It was so fun to see what everyone was doing and we even ran into one of the other couples staying at the inn at Hurricane Ridge in the park Such an amazing area and amazing hosts When my husband and I return, we will be staying here again!

Amber Cousino

Craig is a wonderful host He was very warm, friendly, and knowledgeable of the area We stayed in the Panorama room and really enjoyed the soaking tub and super comfy king size bed

Everything was very clean and cozy Breakfast was delicious and proximity to the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge was awesome We’ll definitely stay here again!

Caesar Morales

Super nice motel, comfortable room, comfortable bed I booked it because it was the cheapest option for the dates of my stay around Olympic National Park but it was honestly better quality than Motel 6 and Best Western The AC worked well, which was nice because we had a heat wave, the water in the shower had good pressure and the room was quiet

Next door is a cool 1950’s style diner too

Jessica Hayes

This place was unbelievably wonderful! I was out of state and without transportation and it was very late in the evening I was upset when I arrived and was exhausted on top of that The owner waived the security deposit as I was out of money and no where to go

She seemed to really care about my well-being The manager even called the next morning to check on me I was also pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the sweetest dog laying in front of my room His name was Lucky He was so friendly and gentle Everything was clean and comfortable and I was able to get some much needed sleep Thanks again, guys

HasNoDad

My girlfriend and I recently stayed there for a whole week vacation and the sundowner motel was the most affordable that we saw, spent maybe just under $500 for a king size bed and 5 days everywhere else was 6 maybe $700 Didn’t expect much at first glance but you can’t judge a book by its cover, staff were very welcoming and there wasn’t any confusion just a simple here’s your key The room was clean, had cable TV, and even a couch beside the bed, had A/C and a heater that worked very well and simple to use

Definitely in a fantastic location and easy to get to It also had a small hanging sign that had “do not disturb” on one side and “maid service” on the other, a great touch Will absolutely let other people know the great experience we had there

Jennifer Cleary

The customer service was great! I stayed in Feb Just getting around to going through pics and reviews The person checking me in spent a decent amount of time showing me his favorite non-tourist locations and even bringing them up online so I could see them

He adjusted my room from the second floor to the first when I passingly mentioned I needed to repack my suitcase for my flight out The room was clean although a little dated I don’t mind that except when it involves the air conditioning I cannot sleep when I’m hot and unfortunately, this was one of those nights

Vladislav Vancák

First off, the room was clean and we didn’t have any major complaints Also the proximity to the Olympic National Park kind of justifies their prices However, I wouldn’t classify this place as a 2-star hotel

It is a standard motel with access from the street, small (and a bit dated) rooms, paper thin walls, next to a fairly busy roundabout

J. M.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in a One King Executive room We were in the back building on the second floor, which was quiet, and it gave us a small view of the mountains so we could tell what the weather was doing The room was clean and spacious

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful We found the location to be good for exploring between Sequim and Lake Crescent

Quiet

This place was amazing For being inexpensive, it was amazing quality Everything was clean, they had delicious free breakfast every morning, a pool and hot tub, and the rooms all had a BUNCH of cool doodads! An Ethernet port for your laptop, free earplugs by the nightstand, and a plethora of towels

I wish there water pressure was a bit stronger, but that’s it really Their staff were amazing, friendly and sweet My primary complaint is how expensive their snack and drink bar is I had five dollars and could only buy one bottled coca colaOverall, great place, only needs a little bit of improvements! Also the elevators make duck noises when you go up or down floors

T K

This was a fairly average hotel Our room was a bit musty upon entry, but opening the windows and turning on the AC fixed that As far as average stays goes, I would have given this a 5 star, however we weren’t really able to utilize the pool well

The first time we went to the pool there were two other families there One of the families were other hotel guests, a mom with her son and daughter The other family was a mom with two preteen aged boys and a toddler The two preteen boys were being pretty aggressive in and out of the pool The hotel was kind enough to provide balls and other water toys to play with at the pool The two boys kept throwing the balls so hard and aggressively that when they’d hit a wall or window it sounded like they were breaking things or leaving holes Several times the balls would hit other people, myself included, to which I now have a bruise forming on my upper shoulder If that weren’t enough, they were throwing the balls and splashing so roughly that other kids weren’t able to enjoy the pool My daughter eventually got out and asked if we could leave She was pretty upset because we had driven over 8 hours and almost the whole time she talked about how she couldn’t wait to get in the pool The mom sat there most of the time not providing any guidance to the kids My friend finally said something to them about simmering down, and they did for a bit, but then the front desk lady tapped on the window, holding the wireless phone from the front desk, and the mom left After which the boys were even worse Stayed for another half hour or so, sitting in the hot tub, before we left Upon leaving though we overheard part of the mom’s conversation which made it clear that she was an employee or the friend of an employee of the hotel Now that wouldn’t normally bother, except that when paying guests expect to have a good experience, as that is what they’re paying for, allowing your hotel staff and or their friends, to ruin that, is just not okay The front desk was literally across the hall from the pool room, so I know she could hear how loud and obnoxious the boys were being While we were sitting there we were shocked that she wasn’t saying anything However upon realizing that the mom was an employee or friend/family of an employee made it pretty clear why no reprimanding was issued in the midst of the chaos We ran into the other family who was in the pool room The mom said she went and complained and that there had been another family in the pool room earlier who had the same experience who also complained Thus alluding to the fact that the issue should definitely have been dealt with before we arrived, given that there were two complaints made about it We stayed for 3 days and were only able to use the pool area peacefully for 1 of them It was pretty disappointing Other than that, the experience was good The breakfast was awesome!

Christopher Petrick

I’ve stayed here about once a month for the last 5-6 or so as I’ve been floated out here for work It’s a great value The staff is fantastic

Is the decor a little out-dated? Sure Is it a chain hotel? Yep! But the cleanliness and awesome staff more than make up for all of that Best of all, they totally welcome and accommodate my dog, but who I almost always have at my sideRooms are always clean They provide a little water/food bowl in room for your pup (Pet designated rooms, from what I understand) As they have recognized me, the check in process has gotten very fast I have yet to stay in a room without a microwave and a fridge I’ll be honest, I almost always watch stuff on my iPad anymore so I can’t speak to the TV service Safeway, Wal-Mart, and even a PetCo near by for your furry pal! And lots of chains and fast food minutes away Morning breakfast is a good spread for a hotel of this level and includes multiple options for hot food!Ultimately great value and a solid location Close to Port Angeles The hiking on the Peninsula is a little bit of a drive, but nothing that should deter you I don’t have kids and I’m not married, I’ve really only stayed for work But it’s a good place and it’s my go to when I get moved out here from Whidbey! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to a family coming out to enjoy the Olympic!Big recommend!

This place is a junkyard and dirty and the pictures show it, plain and simple See yelp pics of molded shower curtain and general filth Another recent negative review shows the same pattern

A third recent moderate review also noted a need for better maintenance and cleaning True Airbnb notified me that the host denied my refund (See airbnbhellcom about refunds) And yet the owner went snooping about me to find personal information 9 months after the fact because that’s the kind of unhinged ridiculous behavior you can expect Please do read her “business-like” response She is all insults in order to deflect from the pictures of the rundown dirty campground she tries to claim is a “resort” Can’t explain the moldy shower, surfaces sticky enough to show in pics and the piles and piles of cars and junk so

Spending a few days here at Sunset Marine Resort to get away from the craziness in the world The resort is no 5 star hotel and that’s what is so cool about it The cabin-like cottage we were in was a cozy reprieve and offered a great environment to relax and unwind

The other cool thing? No TV and it wasn’t missed Rough around the edges, the clam cottage unit sits right on the water and has electric and stove heat to warm your bones The kitchen has just the right amount of tools and utensils and the bathroom, although small, is stocked with all the necessities Hot water was plentiful here The cottage was clean and tidy when we arrived and the staff, Tim, was kind and cordial We will be making plans to come back again soon While here, make sure you go into town and eat at Salty Girls Food is epic! Lastly, the resort is pet and kid friendly

judy M

So I wanted to stay here I have two dogs and love animals but after looking at the pictures of cabins and saw several dogs on the furniture and even in the hammock outside I know they have been running around playing in the water and stuff

I don’t want to sit down and smell dog I would get some of those pics off your site At least let me show up I would hope folks would be more mindful of others It looks like a really fun place

This place has a lot of unfulfilled potential It could be charming and quirky, but instead it is poorly decorated and the floor in particular was so filthy it turned our feet black once we took of our shoes The bed was comfortable, but just about everything else in the room was unacceptable for the holiday weekend price we paid

As much as I wanted to like this place, I cannot recommend it and would never stay there again

Farah Mitchell

Have you ever seen the movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel?? Well, this motel is the American version of that movie Sweetest, friendliest motel owners EVER I stayed here in June 2022

Booked 2 nights Did some camping Then came back for another night The owners seem to be trying their best with what they have Yes, it’s an older property, has dated furniture and some quirks (need to fiddle with the shower till the hot water comes thru and way too much room deodorizing spray) but as a 62 year old woman traveling alone, I was very comfortable in this motel and was pleased with the price I found both the rooms I rented to be very clean so not sure why some reviews think it was dirty But then, if you’re expecting rainshower faucets, a room with a view and modern upgrades then this is not the place for you Go elsewhere and pay 3 times as much If you appreciate a hard working family trying their best to make a business for themselvesthen here ya go I’d definitely stay here again

We stayed here in the summer of 2021 and it was wonderful, clean and the owners were lovely We stayed here July 25th 2022 and it was not good at allWe were given a room in the upstairs of the red barn building, room 39

It was 84 degrees outside and much hotter inside The description says air-conditioning and there was a free standing unit that was much to small for the space and turned off when we arrived We turned on the unit and left for two hours When we got back it was still hotter inside than out The owner did get us another fan but it did little to help It was a miserable hot nightThe floor was wood laminate and my grandson wanted to play with his cars on the floor but it was so dirty we could not let him We also killed no less than six spiders in the room that had large webs built for themselves The water took no less than ten minutes to get warmed up although with the room being so hot the cold shower wasn’t all badThe owners in 2021 seemed to take such pride in their little motel, it’s to bad they left

We loved our stay at Lost Mountain Resort The inn keeper is warm and inviting, and all our service needs were met The guest house was well-equipped and very comfortable, and the ground were gorgeous

Breakfast was delicious We also liked the location in Sequim, with restaurants and stores nearby as well as being close to recreation areas of the park Only wish we had one night without rain so we could have enjoyed a fire on the back deck, but that wasn’t in the hands of the lodge, of course

Dwight and the staff makes you feel that you don’t want to leave The breakfast is delicious and healthy The Chef is very accommodating and creative to create last minute meals for people with different diet needs

We stayed at this hidden gem for 2 nights while visiting Olympic National Park … Dwight was super helpful and spent a lot of time with us recommending restaurants as well as must-see spots The breakfast was a scrumptious 3 course meal … rooms and bathrooms were a bit dated but spacious and clean… charming little place hidden in lavender valley
