Wonderful stay in early October The house must be one of Steamboat’s prettiest and has a truly unique history to it – it’s worth the read and staying here in itself Very tasteful and comfortable rooms, with plenty of places to sit, relax, and feel the great atmosphere

The daily breakfast menu to chose from is impressive, adding the wine and cheese platter served at the kitchen each afternoon, you truly have a memorable experience Will definitely come back

Jasna Manolios

You couldn’t find somewhere with more history and class yet comfort in one BnBStunning building, gorgeous rooms with beautiful beds and private living areas for each guest A most welcoming host, Jane, prepares your breakfast just how you like it to give you the energy needed to last a full days skiing (I suggest the breakfast burrito!)

Shuttle to and from the ski area, storage at the bottom of the mountain – couldn’t be easier! What a perfect way to end the day than with a hot tub with a stunning view followed by cheese and wine appetizers Then either a movie in the theater room or a short skip hop and a jump to a restaurant downtown My kind of lovely, highly recommend

Great location near grocery stores, fast food, sit down dining and mail roads The top of the hill view is awesome at night and during the day Friendly staff

Pool was decent and two nice hot tubs Room was clean and we’ll maintained Love all the wood accents and furniture items Beds were super clean and comfy Overall an excellent value and would recommend

Connie Tremblay

Not awesome Definitely not a resort Barely a hotel

Motel 6 is comparableCheckin: staff couldn’t be bothered with petty things like greetings, pleasantries, etc He also couldn’t smile UNTIL I came back to the front desk to get assistance with the vending machine Once he found out it was malfunctioning, he perked right up, grinned and informed me it’s not their machineNext morning: you’d better be a morning person as there’s no blinds on the upper windows and the train comes blasting through at 6 am If you do manage to doze back off, forget the shower There’s no hot water at 730 am and when you call the front desk, the gal reminds you multiple times that maintenance comes in at 7 and they will look at it Umm it’s 730 and that’s not maintenance That’s your lack of enough hot water heater storagePositives? Kitchen was niceDefinitely not up to steamboat standards

Mark Heidenreich

first of it said check in was after 4 we got there at 430 and had to wait almost 20 more mins for the room to be ready for us the one air conditioner was loud as hell

needless to say my familt will not be using this company to book any rooms to stay at again another thing the coin machine in the game room wasnt working eitherwhich really up set my twin four year old girls

We had an awesome time staying here! We came up from Denver for the weekend and this hotel is right in the heart of everything in downtown Steamboat! Definitely an older hotel obviously so just be prepared for some quirks For the value though, it was perfect! We also got the dog-friendly suite so we could bring our bulldog We’d definitely recommend and stay again!

Lyndsay Koch

My husband and I were in town for a holiday party and were fortunate enough to get a room at the Bristol Hotel It’s conveniently located right downtown, close to cafes and restaurants The hotel has a warm and welcoming feel to it, with a designer lobby and friendly staff

Our hotel room was lovely, and nice & warm on a cold winter night We very much enjoyed the fresh baked scones in the morning!

I am going to try to keep this as short as possible but I literally have 1,000,001 positive things to say about this hotel Is it the Ritz? No Do they have the most outstanding customer service and people at their front desk? Hell to the yes they do!!! After a horrible experience at another hotel in town and ultimately having my reservation canceled after speaking with a manager at this other hotel my family and I came over to rabbit ears

Lindsey at the front desk was an absolute angel so kind so compassionate and gave us a beautiful room overlooking the river The process was so smooth and she was so kind I seriously can’t say enough good things about her On her second night that we stayed there Derek at the front desk who we had never met before was beyond courteous and kind Even with a mask on we could see the smile in his eyes! It really doesn’t matter who you catch at the front desk this hotel does an excellent job at staffing the right kind of compassionate people And the views are undeniable! Stay here you won’t regret it Oh also the beds are really comfy and our room was very clean

Eric Marcus

As has been stated in many a review – nothing fancy, but comfortable and, despite the nearby main road, quiet We had a river view too which made it even better! Front desk was friendly and helpful It’s a short walk to several dining options, as well as a hot springs across the street (we didn’t go, so I don’t have real detail there, but I understand there’s a fee)

Rooms were comfortable and clean

JP

We’ve been staying here for the past 7 or 8 years when we come to steamboat The last stay here will probably be our last It’s always been decent and moderately priced

Rooms were clean and beds were really comfortableThis last visit wasn’t anything like the past Room seemed stuffy and it definitely needed a makeover Carpet looked worn Bed was like sleeping in bowl with no supportWe’ve always enjoyed staying here in the past and it’s been really decentwish we could say the same about our last visit

Blown away by this place Amazing room was way bigger than anything else I saw online and it was perfect for my friends and I Honestly it was such a good deal I still can’t believe it! Thanks to Jack at the front desk for getting me checked in a little earlier! Great service and great place to stay I cannot wait to come back this will be the only place I stay at!

Tammy Velotta

My rating is based on building 1 Unit 301 is extremely hot, we woke up most nights sweating The sliding glass door had no screen door, so we were only able to leave the door open while we were in the room The only air flow was a window in the front bedroom which was nowhere close to the living area or upstairs loft

My only suggestion would be to put a screen door up so you can leave the door open to get the cool air at night w/o critters or bugs coming in while you are sleepingOther than that the Unit was clean and perfect size for our family We stayed here 2 years ago in a unit next door and it was beautiful, which is why we came back

Terry Usrey

Building One lacks elevator and has many stairs, a minimum of 8 just to access the main floor Underground heated and service key accessed parking!Great location accross the street from ski lift, tennis and pickleball courts, plus ball fields Next to Strings in the Rockies

Walking distance to the largest shopping center in town On Free bus line Great amenities at the recreation/office

My husband and I could not have been happier with our stay here Among the countless great things about this hotel (which I’ll get to later), first, I need to mention the exceptional customer service that was provided to usMy husband and I both work in the airlines and have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the country, and the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Steamboat, CO stands out among one of the best hotels

Each interaction that we had with the staff was friendly, attentive, and personable We were especially impressed with Kate, the Assistant Manager, who took the time to address us by name, thank us for our business, and ensure that we were happy with our service Kate made us feel like valued customers, as she went above and beyond to get to know us personally Furthermore, the other staff members were always pleasant and gracious when asked requests or informationBesides the great customer service that we received, we were very impressed by the comfort, cleanliness, and the amenities that the hotel provided Being a newer hotel built within the last few years, the rooms were very clean, bright, and spacious; we always felt relaxed returning to our peaceful room After long and busy days enjoying beautiful Steamboat Springs, we had the most restful nights of sleep in the most comfortable beds! Additionally, the amenities the hotel provided were awesome—the breakfast was perfect to start our day, the workout room had everything needed, and the pool/hot tub, and outdoor patio were other wonderful luxuries that made our stay so relaxing and memorableThank you very much for making us feel like valued customers We truly left Steamboat feeling renewed and rejuvenated!

Ryan Koch

Our stay was uneventful, which is a good thing So, that is to say, it was pleasantThe accommodations are clean and nice

The beds were comfortable enough (nothing is ever as comfortable as your own bed IMHO) and the room layout was spacious and efficientThe daytime front desk staff was friendly and helpful I didn’t have any interaction with the evening staff, so I can’t comment on themThe breakfast was ok, but I’ve had plenty of others that were better stocked with a larger selection I know it’s a free breakfast, but so were the others that had more selectionsOverall, it was a nice hotel for the night and I’d stay there again, even if the breakfast is a little lackluster 😁

Eric Finke

The hotel is new and very clean so I commend the staff While the type of room we reserved was not available upon check-in and the front desk staff was not very helpful, the General Manager took care of the issue on the day of our checkout to our satisfaction The cons are parking on the weekends can be a challenge and slightly outside of downtown

The pros are the cleanliness of the hotel, the quality of the rooms, and the great-tasting breakfast I would stay here again, just hope they provide the room reserved

We stayed here on our way out to California from Fort Collins and were very pleased, so we booked a room again on our way back We were surprised to find out that they upgraded us on our second stay, which was such a lovely gesture and just what we needed after a very long drive The rooms are slightly more traditional and very clean and the beds/bedding are comfortable and great quality

We had no trouble parking and didn’t hear any noise from our neighbors The location is amazing and walkable to everything we needed Staff were friendly and more than willing to give recommendations, or just have a nice chat with We loved staying here and will definitely be back Our little dog felt right at home as well!

We were SO GLAD to have chosen the Nordic Lodge for our two-night vacation The owners and staff were fantastic! The pool and hot tub were both nice to have available to guests The staff was always available and willing to answer our questions and provide recommendations for whatever we asked The absolute best part was their location Right on the Main Street and close to everything We parked our car when we arrived and it stayed right there until we left We will DEFINITELY go back when in this area again THANK YOU NORDIC LODGE FAMILY for a great stay The Fay Family

We had a very poor experience renting with Vacasa Note, our unit was rented through AirBnB along with seven other units in the same complex with our extended familyWhen we arrived, we were told we couldn’t check into our unit as the hot water heater was not working

Vacasa offered to move us to other units ranging from 5 miles to 15 miles away This wasn’t a great option for us due to the planned family reunion along with our young kids and grandparent, and we hoped to spend most of the time walkingThere was a 2nd unit with a broken patio door that was boarded up We asked if we could take that one, but were initially told we couldn’t due to company policyAfter several hours of waiting around, we were checked into the unit with no hot waterOn day 2, we were finally allowed to relocate to the unit with the plywood over the patio door, and found there was no internet, phone, TV or WiFi working in this unit Five visits from maintenance later and 24 hours later we had internet restoredThroughout these issues, communication was completely lacking No management on site through the entire weekend when most people check in, and nobody around with any authority to make decisions Vacasa would tell me to expect a call back, but a day would go by without any followupFor all of these issues, Vacasa initially offered us $100 as compensation, on a week-long rental After multiple phone calls and reaching out to airbnb, we were ultimately given more, but there’s no reason this should have been so difficult I feel like nothing would have been offered if it hadn’t been for AirBnBThese units are great, and the location is excellent, but our experience exemplifies what I’ve come to expect from corporate AirBnB rental units I rarely review publicly, with customer service being my primary job, but I felt inclined to share the experience this time around

Brant Rouse

Stayed in unit 102 through Vacasa The condo was super clean and in wonderful shape The decor is very outdated, but the furniture is solid and the mattresses in very good shape

Porch is nice and the exercise room and lockers are added bonus The front Desk staff were very nice and went above and beyond to exceed expectations Actually liked the hot tub and pool sign up sheet for daily use Shuttle to and from the base area was quick and they have a shuttle for around town as well Highly recommend!

The hotel was overall very clean and very nice The rooms were definitely worth the price for it being in a ski town Rooms had all the necessary amenities you would need for at least a weeks stay

The staff was very helpful and friendly The only downside was that the hot tubs were always busy so we did t get a chance to enjoy them Also, if you drive a lifted vehicle, the clearance on the parking garage was fairly low

Wayne Wilson (Time_2_Explore)

Had an enjoyable stay We were in a studio and it was sufficiently appointed for our weeks stay We hiked everyday and found the location to be great

We ate every meal in the condo or a packed lunch And the kitchen with a mid sized refrigerator was greatWe did not spend much time using the resort amenities except recovering from hiking in the pool and hot tubThe fitness center looked above average and there was a pool table in the game room

donna allyn

Nice big rooms and balcony Kitchen not have oven dishwasher not clean range elements not work correct vents in baths not work need grab bar shower and toilet area TV not work on gym equipment need many more lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas by pool need hypoallergenic toiletries need dimmer switch for living room lites Staff acted like they were doing us a huge favor every time we asked for something

STAY ELSEWHERE! Starting from me just booking the hotel room for 1200$ for 2 nights and me asking for a small amenity for the room and they wanted to charge me another 100$ You can put a simple Happy Birthday in my room? I have never ever been told “NO” so much in my life by a hotel It’s a yes business to me… I was not even asking for a lot

On top of that- Customer Service, sucks… like bad! No management on duty, ironic My room wasn’t cleaned, towels were picked up and the bed wasn’t mad, HA! What am I paying all this money for a “amenity” charge if I don’t get the amenities This hotel does NOT want to go above and beyond for you DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND CRAZY MONEY AND NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Alison Collins

Had a fantastic time during our ski trip in February 2022 Location is great and very convenient to walk across the street to the gondola This resort has a very lodge-style feel to it and made the experience even more authentic

Be sure to request a higher floor, with a mountain view (we did not but will next time!) The staff was very friendly and accommodating I loved the resort’s courtesy shuttle and it was very reliable, and made several stops which allowed us to explore the downtown area in the evenings – definitely something to consider when visiting Steamboat! Highly recommend staying here and we hope to return in 2023

My friends and I stayed here for a couples’ trip this past weekend The hotel is incredible It’s beautiful, the location is convenient

The corn hole and paddle ball amenities outside the restaurant feature gorgeous views, and we loved the indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs The fitness center was spacious and clean The front desk associates, especially Quinton, were awesome He went above and beyond to improve our stay The room was very clean, up-to-date, AC and shower and everything worked well Parking was easy My only complaint is that Rex’s restaurant was okay We went for dinner and breakfast, and the service was hit-and-miss I considered that maybe they were short staffed Definitely too pricey for a hotel restaurant, though The hotel price was a great rate overall for Steamboat We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

What a treat it is to get to stay again at the Holiday Inn Express in Steamboat! Tammy has been the smile at the front desk for years and I was so grateful to see her when we checked in She and Quinton were so kind, treating us like we were special guests My daughter was over the moon – it has set such a wonderful tone for the stay

The hotel was recently renovated and it looks great! It’s clean and smells nice and it’s quiet The pool and jacuzzis are great and the gym had everything we neededIt’s a great place to stay Be sure to say hi to Tammy, she’s a gem! Thanks

My boyfriend and I stayed here during our ski vacation to steamboat I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable place to rest while going to steamboat resort The room was clean and warm with a great view of the mountain

The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful plus the shuttle service was OUTSTANDING The restaurant attached to the hotel was also great Its always a good sign when people who are not staying at the hotel are still coming to Rex’s for a bite to eat
