The floor tiles in the room and bathroom need to be replaced not a deal breaker but for the price the floors should be updatedOverall- we had an amazing experience, great location We loved staying here, going out to the balcony and seeing the ocean, fishing pier dolphins etc

Breakfast was beyond expectations – huge selection and very efficient manager and staff running it VA Beach is our vacation spot for 20+ years now stayed at Sandcastle many times and will recommend to anyone!

Binod Gupta

This is a hotel with good location which is near the fishing pier on the boardwalk The breakfast buffet is also good with biscuits, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, bread, fruits, coffee and juice It can get a bit crowded sometimes

Staff at the front desk were courteous and even let us check in early 3 stars due to the size of the room We had a double queen bed which barely fit the room Rooms are very small compared to other hotels that we have stayed We did have a balcony with great view of the boardwalk and ocean Hotel is close to restaurants and shops, a great location There is a small fitness room as well The swimming pool is on the second floor but is very deep for kids It starts at 4 feet to 6 feet My kids were a bit scared to play in the pool There is a kiddie pool which is for very small kids Overall a great hotel but if you don’t mind the small rooms the it can be for you I personally will stay at a hotel with larger rooms

Daryle Abrahams

Just the TicketA last-minute booking at a great price (ton and a half) resulted in finding this gem on the boardwalk, by the pier Breakfast, featuring Americana staples, was stocked sufficiently and there was some fresh fruit tooParking is included and the second floor is ideal for Senior Citizens to gain access to the hotel, sans stairs

Be sure to check in first as you need a hotel key for access from the parking deckAs usual, staffing makes a difference The team, including Christine and Pam were accommodating as were the Ocean’s 14 staff for dinner on the boardwalk itselfSome live music, on a Tuesday night no less, added to what has to be a, for the money, five-star review Bravo BW+ team We will see you again

This hotel is designed for longer term stays, but we were only in for a weekend for a family member’s university graduation Nice enough place, but there was a bit of weirdnessWe booked a room for 4 adults

But we only had 3 bath towels and wash cloths I liked the “kitchenette,” with 4 plates, bowls, forks, etc, but there was only 2 chairs Guess you can feed 4, in shifts of 2 But, with the size of the room there wouldn’t have been room for the 2 double beds had there been more chairsI also found it odd there was only 1 small elevator Not really a major problem, but when there were a bunch of people waiting to go up it could take a whileThe beds were mostly comfortable, but noisy Mattresses sounded like the were vinyl covered, so everytime someone rolled over or moved they made noiseAll in all, for the price we paid, it was a positive experience Had we been staying longer the lack of comfortable seating might have become a problem, but we managed to work around it for the weekendI would stay here again, but would probably ask for an upgraded room with bigger beds

I just ended a long trip and was in need of a little R&R This hotel was perfect for what I needed The room was super clean and comfortable

And the spa tub was a nice touchThe location was great, everything was in walking distance Right in the middle of downtownThe best part of this hotel is the staff They made me feel at home, were friendly and checked in on me when I walked past the desk During breakfast the restaurant manager came out and asked every guest how things were going I had a nice chat with the front desk manager and even caught up with the housekeeping managerI also enjoyed everything about the lobby area (shout out to the fruit infused water!) I definitely recommend this hotel

Cathay Shepard

The desk staff was wonderful and friendly The problem was the cleanliness of my room A 7 day stay and my room was cleaned once

Not acceptable in this day in time especially with all the viruses and germs in this world now days I kept asking housekeeping to clean my room but no show Bathtub, toilet, and sink remained dirty with dirty towels all over my bathroom floor I’m so disappointed in the Hilton I hope they get better after this post so others won’t have to experience the things I went through Just expected more from an expensive hotel stay

Rebecca Jackson

The location is great if you want to stay near Town Center I prefer more near the beach but since I wasn’t paying for the hotel, I just enjoyed it as much as possibleThere is a pool

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to use it because there were a lot of people using itThe rooms are big, at least for the king roomThe staff is GREAT! They are very nice and friendlyThe breakfast was ok I ordered 2 scrambled eggs which came with turkey sausage and potatoes The white of my eggs was a little runny I didn’t send them back because they were very busy so I ate around it and left the uncooked part on my plate The potatoes needed salt but otherwise good and the turkey sausage was good

Great value for money Great staff Superb location

When they say ocean view room they really mean it – no sly play of words All rooms have great views, with little balconies that have 2 chairs and a small tableBeach access is super convenient – out the rear exit, cross the bike path, and you are on the boardwalkParking lot here is small, but they have a larger parking garage across the streetHousekeeping service was running on a limited schedule when we went The guidance from what we understood was to let the front desk know by 11am that you wanted the room serviced, otherwise nothing gets refreshed – no new towels, no beds made, no trash removed

Malala Rabearisoa

The room had a gorgeous ocean view! The carpet was not vacuumed properly and had stains, but the overall experience at this hotel was great We took advantage of the fitness room which was well maintained and had towels available Ice cream shop and indoor pool are also in the first floor

Check out Fish Tails restaurant in the premises The breakfast was good So was the service

Will be going back to this hotel more than likely Awesome location Right next to the park, right across the street from Sweet Frog

A small stroll away from many amazing restaurants Staff is nice Restaurant inside is very nice Inside pool was lovely No cockroaches And I got called a hero by the lady behind the desk Wonderful experience

We loved our stayThe front desk staff was very helpfulHe helped us with the parking as well

Our room was clean, but I cannot say the same thing for the corners !The location is one of the best of the hotel Also the live music was so amazingI was worried a bit about the elevator because there were just two elevators but overall we enjoyed our stay!

K “Mimiko” A

We greatly enjoyed our stay over the weekend! We stayed in one of the oversized suites The front desk staff were very helpful We had a check in past our time and we’re compensated for that, so that was great

I was struggling with the key cards and they quickly helped, even recognized me to do so Our room was very clean, no bugs or anything! Everything stocked The fridge for some reason kept popping open, but that could have been user error Luckily we only had alcohol in it The pool was nice, although I do wish there was more sitting available We were worried about music given some of the reviews but it was off by 10pm The elevator at times was a bit of a hassle but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Tom Roman

I do really like the atmosphere of the hotel, the indoor and outdoor pool is awesome especially the children’s area I like the location of the hotel with all the restaurants and shopsOverall the hotel itself is very nice, and pretty clean

However, the shower had a very high water pressure which can be pretty irritating on skin and the curtain rod being curved let a lot of water on the floor no matter how careful you tried to be I did notice a moist part of the wall in between the door frame and shower edge and you could easily poke a hole in the wall I also barely felt comfortable allowing my 2 toddlers to take a bath in the tub because I can guarantee those jacuzzi jets are not cleaned and sanitized regularlyAs for noise I’d say it wasn’t bad until about 2 days before check out a party not far above us was blasting heavy base crazy loud till about 3am Which was annoying especially since the hotel staff didn’t seem to care to do anythingIt was a bummer we didn’t receive typical house keeping (coming in to freshen and replace linens, vacuum, re-stock, etc) as well as no valet service at the momentStaff was always friendly and helpfulOverall we enjoyed our stay and we would consider coming back

Letizia Walker

We booked with Ocean Beach Club resort and were very pleased with our beach view suite Having a kitchen was helpful The only thing was the Queen size room that was requested really felt as a full size bed

The indoor pool felt more kid friendly and not a place to relax luckily the sister resort next door (connected by the same patio) has a 21and up for indoor pool and hot tub Honestly that saved our trip as my husband and I were on a kid free weekend Overall we enjoyed our stay the staff was friendly and my room was clean and just a few steps away from the beach and restaurants was perfect

j copeland

Overall not the best experience We booked a King suite, but got a Queen studio The panels on the side of the shower/tub fell off onto the floor

There was mold/mildew in the tiles A lot of air in the water lines I understand resort pricing but for what we paid we should at least have an ocean view The bed was hard and had stains on it Privacy curtains didn’t close all the way leaving a three inch gap in betweenPositives: The pools are nice and seem clean Plenty of elevators Staff was courteous Right on the beach Restaurant on-site Within walking distance to nicer hotels

I can’t imagine what hotel these other people are reviewing – a 5 rating, really? This actually an old rundown timeshare resort Elevator, stairwells, hallways were extremely old, dated, and unclean Interior the same…old worn out furniture, slider glass dirty, balcony chairs dirty

The entire place looked like it hadn’t seen a fresh coat of paint in 30 years We decided to stay in the area an extra nite, but decided to move down to the Hampton Inn

nosirrah harrbel

Umm what place did these other guest go to Perhaps there was a secret elevator Cause this place was like the Bates motel

We got bite in the middle of the night found a bed bug, roaches in the kicthen carpet was dirty the staff was super nice but i wouldnt stay there if they paid me a billion dollars in cash, or gave me everlasting life they need to close down and find a good extreminator servicedisgusting yuck and horrible There is no negative star to give them A billion thumbs down

Breakfast was great! Big selection and different breakfast everyday Bed was comfortable and clean Front desk manager, Joe, was nice and helpful

Floor wasn’t swept that well nor the table wiped down in my suite, which was something I could live with since the bed was clean and the suite in general was relatively clean The only real issue for me was that the shower and sink water smelled like bleach!! Even my wash cloth and towel smelled like bleach after it was dry the next day

Miri M

If I could give ZERO stars I would I was supposed to be staying here for 10 weeks, but could only make it through 3 because of their mouse infestation I stayed in room 222 where I first saw the mouse, then was moved to room 209 where I saw it AGAIN

I had to place MY OWN mouse traps since they were to lazy to do it, and woke up to the traps disappearing and being moved by the mouse I was told multiple times by staff that room 222 was being exterminated and traps were being set, but when I went to collect my belongings none of the above were being done The only employee here who was genuine with their help and care for the customer was Lorenzo If you ask me, he should be promoted to store manager since none of the other staff know how to abide by their word Don’t waste your money here unless you want to practice your mouse trap setting skills, because trust me, they have enough mice to go around

We had a room block for our wedding back in April The hotel staff and management did a great job helping us set up our room block initially They were very accommodating of adding more rooms as well as keeping us up-to-date on who had booked

The weekend of all our guests arriving there were many who requested other rooms and the hotel staff did a fantastic job mitigating all the requests and making our guests happy! We really appreciated everything that this hotel provided, including the amenities for our guests They loved it and enjoyed their stay, and the views as well

Barbara Martinez

Everything was absolutely perfect! From the private beach to the amazing shower We had a King Suite that was the size of a small apartment and we loved the space The bed was comfy with plenty of blankets and pillows

Every single detail was covered I loved this experience and will definitely recommend my friends to stay at this location Great Job Marriott

Jessy J

After researching several hotels in the area for spring break in April, this hotel was our choice based on what we were looking for while staying in Virginia Beach We definitely chose right!!! The staff, the food, the coffee, the rooms, the pool, the room view, and the convenience of being near everything was a plus for me and my family From the time that we checked in, until the time that we left, I had no complaints

This is the only hotel that I have taken the time to leave a review for because when it comes to hotels, I am very picky This hotels deserves an A plus The women at the front desk were very helpful and had great customer service The maintenance man that came to our room had just started at the time, but he was able to help my son get his game working on the TV right away and was very nice The woman at the restaurant had just returned from being off for a while, had the sweetest spirit and was very kind I have nothing negative to say and we will visit again This will be our getaway spot for sure

This is a wonderful hotel! Our 1st time staying there after many years of coming to Virginia Beach-and that would be 30 years The ladies that run this hotel-Stacy, Lori, Vicky-all excellent! Lori was awesome when I called to book-so helpful & patient! And the ladies holding doors on our arrival-one on each side! Never treated us like we were a bother & ALWAYS so nice! These ladies rock! The room was very nice-smelled GREAT the entire time No outside smells at all-that was a big plus for my family! Housekeeping was awesome! The beds & pillows were great-very comfortable! No pain from them! The temperature of the room was perfect & changed quickly to whatever you preferred, which was wonderful

Thank you for a great, relaxing, pleasant stay! See you ladies next year! ❤️

We loved it here! Room was very clean Beds were comfortable 3 pillows on each bed

Air conditioner worked great Wonderful view Indoor pool was good Closes at nine We wished it was open later The bathroom was small which made it hard to dress Staff was very friendly and helpful Housekeeping gave us everything we needed Very nice young gentlemanThe doors were locked at nine That made us feel safeThe only thing I can say negative I guess would be that the pool closed early

Stasha Sprouse

The staff was so very friendly and helpful! My husband and I had got to the area a little earlier than expected and knew we couldn’t check in quite yet but we wanted to park and go around to some of the shops I went to the front desk and explained what we’d like and the lady at the front desk was so nice and was able to give us our parking pass She also checked on our room status so we knew exactly how long until we could check in

The staff is so incredibly kind, no matter how many times my husband and I walked in or out, we were greeted with great smiles and kind wordsThe hotel it self is gorgeous! The room was very well kept and clean, has great amenities, and a ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS view of the ocean from our balcony! Will have to come here and stay again

My family had a great time This was a much needed vacation for us all This particular hotel is PERFECT for families and kids

The movie theater played good movies for the kids and families The arts and crafts area was a bonus The staff was great with good activities for the kids It’s away from the crowds but close enough to get there by bus or car The pool areas are nice The breakfast was a plus too There’s a restaurant on the top of the hotel with great views The only complaint I have is one of our beds did not have clean linens The front desk was great and apologetic We had our linens changed and kept it moving We will definitely be back

Jakoby Mallory

Overall, I enjoyed my trip but not because of the hotel The price is only accommodating due to it being on the beach In addition, the care for the hotel itself is very much underlooked

The carpet throughout the hallways is filthy; there were holes in my bed sheets, the elevators require some maintenance, and one part of my shower sliding door was broken All furniture meant to be comfortable (bed and chairs) was hard and uncomfortable The carpet inside the room needs a deep clean as well The parking at the hotel is atrocious Only one vehicle per room can receive a parking pass to park in the designated parking area The front desk mentioned that there are only enough parking spots to accommodate each room; however that is a complete lie There are way fewer parking spots than there are rooms There were never any places to park throughout my stay I highly recommend a hotel with more parking options if you visit during any holiday or significant event in the city I didn’t expect this many issues from a hotel with such a steep price tag For the price, we should have received the Ritz Carlton service

J Jarrels

This hotel had everything and more We just went for 4 nights and our 4 and 6yo LOVED it The 4 pools were amazing, live band oceanfront poolside every day from 3-7, unlimited pool towels, amazing staff and AMAZING kids play/art room

We even caught a movie one rainy night in the “real theater chairs” We were not impressed with the Square Whale Restaurant or their drinks but the concierge will give kids eat free coupons upon request so it saved us $15 and it was really convenient Parking spots were so narrow and across the street but the location was perfect Still on the boardwalk yet almost to the end and less busy and dramatic We will be back!!

I have to say this hotel is very nice The check in process was fast and friendly The hot tub was amazing and the pool was good too

The room was very clean and had everything you would have in your own house I am very happy with this hotel The price we paid was worth everythingThe hotel follows request very well also When my wife made the reservation she requested to be as high as possible, and to our surprise we were put on the 8th floor the very top That was great the request was fulfilledThe view of the ocean was awesome We even seen a lot of dolphins swimming around The breakfast was good also, however, it was a little disappointed that the did not have some kind of breakfast meat, like sausage or bacon and no scrambled eggs They did have hard boiled eggs insteadOverall I would rate this hotel an A without the meats an A+ if they had it

The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful!! The front desk night crew were the best!! Everything was clean and our stay was lovely We enjoyed the room, the pool, and the restaurant, Coach’s Even though the hotel was packed with two conventions nearby, a craft show, and two weddings, the staff staff was amazing and very attentive

I did this stay on a promotion offer and there were only a few issues with the room If they wanted me to be impressed they should have put me in one of the Hilton hotels on the beach as per my preference I was told the hotel was a 5 min walk to the beach that was false

Maybe 5 minutes if I were a fast runner But I don’t run unless in danger and for only a short period of time My issues with the room were the cleanliness the vent in the bathroom was dirty, paint was chipping over the window, paint chips were on the floor The mattress box cover had a grease like stain on it and the shower had zero pressure Taking a shower took forever What I liked was the pool and the staff The staff were attentive and the customer service was amazing! I liked our stay over all

Please don’t stay in Room 1201!!! The wallpaper and light switches are peeling off the wall and there are spores of mold behind! I had to switch hotels because they were fully booked so I couldn’t just switch rooms They did refund me but I told them not to let anyone else in that room until they get mold services out there, if we had asthma it could have been deadly I hope no one gets assigned that room until they fix the problem

My previous stay here in 2019 before the pandemic and was a wonderful experience What happened to the facilities in the meantime? Overall the staff is kind, the lobby was spotless, but rooms are a gamble so just beware!

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This web site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in the area

I have been coming here for years If you decide to stay here you won’t be disappointedA good place to hold your event They have many different rooms to accommodate your guest count Their main ballroom is unique with its multi-level design The hotel itself has many rooms if you are deciding to stay there The staff are polite and professional They are following Covid guidelines Recommended

Great staff, especially the twins! Special shout out to the gentlemen who came to fix our TV! He was awesome! They do not have free breakfast but do have a restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner My suggestions for improvement are to have a kid’s dinner selection, and the small convenience shop should have a better selection of cold items Will stay again!

Premium IHG hotel Brand it was nowhere near that level The room they gave us was next to a room being renovated the hall was very hot and drywall dust everywhere The second room sink was chipped

And they didn’t offer any other accommodations so we canceled our reservation and went elsewhere I have been to hotels being renovated and they normally would block the full floor off to be renovated

The only good thing I can say about my stay was Max and Chris who worked in the Hilton Honors Diamond Lounge They were always friendly and happy and a joy to speak with They were very helpful and accommodating

I also have fantastic things to say for the valets They were all a joy to work with I give the whole lot of them 5+ stars, however the rest of the stay was not up to Hilton standards in my opinion I have been to this hotel many times but it was several years before the pandemic Now it is not a good place to stay and I will not be staying at this hotel property anytime soon The food at Catch 31 was terrible Overpriced and tasted awful, I didn’t even finish my meal The bartenders and waitstaff were not accommodating and the bartender, Smith was downright rude The elevator was slow and made a lot of noise making the riders feel very unsafe Staff even commented on how guests were trapped in it a few weeks prior The room was not very clean, in fact I found small shards of glass in my sheets on my first night It is sad to see how awful this property has become as it once was a great place to stay and eat; unfortunately it is not any longer

From the second we checked in until we arrived home, this was my worst experience with a hotel and management team ever! There were so many issues and I’ll certainly address those in this review but the biggest issue was that the valet damaged my vehicle and DID NOT TELL US! We didn’t see the damage until we arrived home I immediately contacted the hotel and have been getting the runaround ever since! It has been two weeks and I’ve called the hotel management, the valet company, the parking garage that the hotel rents space from and even corporate offices NO ONE is responding to me

I’m always promised a call from the manager or the supervisor of this department or that department and NOTHING!When I made the reservation, I made it very clear that I didn’t need a handicap accessible room with a roll-in shower, as I have a disability but don’t use a wheelchair, and simply requested a shower seat I was promised the shower seat The day before check in, I called again about the reservation and shower seat and was told it would be taken care of, there were notes in my reservation At check in, we reminded them of the request and told it was taken care of When we arrived to the room, there was no shower seat Called the front desk twice, in a two hour span and then my husband went down to the front desk and was told housekeeping would bring it up An hour later, the seat arrived We missed our dinner reservation because of this! The air conditioner broke and maintenance was quick to come up to fix it The issue was that they needed to put the heater on to fix the problem with the air conditioner We were inconvenienced because we obviously couldn’t stay in the room with 100⁰ degree heat outside and the heat blasting in the room! And then, at check out, we were charged for 3-$40 gift cards, which was part of our reservation to be used at the restaurant or bar at the hotel that we were never givenI would NEVER EVER stay in a Hilton again and would certainly never recommend that any family or friends stay at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront!!

You can’t beat the location The hotel is located right by the Neptune Statue The rooms are nice for a beach town

The service wasn’t so great though The rooftop pool was the best We had a great time especially when there weren’t many people as the pool is on the smaller side The restaurant was nice too but there are much better alternatives in the immediate area if you’re looking for good fish and seafood The worst part was waiting for the elevators!!!! They were so slow and took forever to get to our rooms I may try it again but most likely during off season
