This hotel is everything it’s supposed to be, but the staff make it exceptionalI showed up in the middle of the night and Mike made me feel welcome and appreciated He truly understands how to treat people like human beings

Harmony, at the breakfast bar went out of her way to accommodate me and somehow I felt like I was doing her a favor!!!Thank you both for making sure I had a rejuvenating rest before hiking up the dunes

The front desk staff was nice They upgraded me to a suite, which is amazing and I appreciated it, but it was on the second floor Around 10:30 p

m the elephants above us arrived and it was impossible to sleep until they decided to around midnight The room next to us talked super loudly, or the walls are really thin? So, we slept poorly here The breakfast was good and they had choices between packaged items that you can take and hot food, so I appreciated that

Great place to stay close to the Great Sand Dunes! In addition to clean rooms and friendly staff, I was most impressed by the breakfast selection This hotel offered more gluten-free selections than any other place we have stayed This includes the typical eggs and bacon but also GF muffins, bagels and cereals

For our family, this is a clear differentiator from other hotels! Definitely would stay here again!

The layout of this hotel was my favorite of our whole trip A huge plus for me is that the sink was separate from the bathroom This allows one person to get ready at the sink while another is showering

There was an extra cushioned bench at the sink area which was another nice touch It was a clean room with comfortable beds and a great breakfast The only negative for me was a second floor outside entrance My personal preference is an interior entrance But overall, it was a great place to stayAlamosa Best WesternSeparate sink from bathroomGreat breakfastClean roomComfy bedExtra bench near sink area2nd floor outside entrance

I have stayed at this Best Western in Alamosa several times and always found it to be clean and well kept Improvements are always done on rooms, stairs, grounds and pool areas The breakfast assortment of food and beverages is wonderful

Andy is one of the most helpful and friendly associates I have encountered in any hotel Hope to return to the San Luis valley area soon! I found this photo I had taken previously

I see a lot of reviews here saying this place is great; don’t believe them I recently booked a stay at this “hotel” and was extremely disappointed First off, it’s not a hotel, it’s a motel

The staff was ok When I entered my room I instantly smelled mildew I had to go to the bathroom so I went to the bathroom The toilet seemed fine at first, but once I lifted up the seat I noticed fecal matter stains in the bowl I also saw hair on the shampoo dispenser There were a few other hairs here and there Honestly, I feel as though this location doesn’t pass inspection I really hope the owner can turn this mess of a “hotel” around 1/5 ⭐️

When we booked the room we specifically asked for a king bed and made sure 3 times to get a kind bed and pet friendly room When we showed up they claimed that the room was a queen and that they don’t even have king bed rooms that are pet friendly (hard to believe) They also tried to over charge for the pet fee which they later refunded one night back after an argument

When I told them they’ve cause me a major inconvenience they replied with bad attitude and said there’s nothing they can do I even tried calling the manager and she said all she can do is to give me points I don’t need pointsHotel conditions: Poor, very poor Dirty rooms, dirty lobby, lots of broken things They made the customers wear masks but the staff overnight didn’t have masks Breakfast was terrible, the pool area was dirty and dark, and parking is a pain I do not recommend this place!

While staying here my family and I were exposed to bed bugs I understand that hotels cannot control who stays in there hotel or what is brought in but what bothers me is how the situation was handled Not once did anyone apologize to us or even care that we had potentially been exposed to bed bugs, that they could have been brought to our home

I gave them multiple opportunity’s to respond and care I tried to get in touch with their manager several times and told a couple of hotel staff however they have been unavailable or uncaring When I asked if it was taken care of they responded with “if here were bed bugs it would have been reported to their maintenance man and they would have cleaned the area” If there were? They would have? What about the families that stayed there before us that could now have brought the bed bugs home? What about the other rooms? Bed bugs multiple like crazy If the sheets, pillows, towels switch rooms then the bed bugs could be all over the hotel I tried to be understanding and protect everyone else who stayed at the hotel but I got treated as a nuisance I feel this issue was brushed aside and not taken as seriously as it should have been

Newer place and very clean room The staff were friendly Comfortable

Seemed to be understaffed and a little overwhelmed at breakfast Once caught up, the food was delicious Small selection of bagels/waffles Scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage Cereals Juices, milk and coffee A bonus was a laundry room One ice machine and it didn’t work This IS a pet friendly hotel It was a surprise to see two cats upon arrival in the hallway Pets are welcome in rooms There was some animal hair in some places Overall, this was still a good pit stop for me and my family on our way to Great Sand Dunes NP

Cassidy Duan

Apparently newest hotel in Alamosa Some of the friendliest hotel staff My husband and I were traveling through Colorado and a snow storm was coming and they have us really good advice on traveling

A bonus is they have 4 cats that roam the hotel complex that are friendly and fun to pet Breakfast is included with a variety of options I am gluten free and was able to load up on a nice breakfast for the day Great rates for a clean and nice hotel!

Cyndi Connett

I love this place, but always confirm your booking before you leave home The first day they gave our double bed room away to someone else And bumped us down to a single room with 2 beds

Then on our last night they did not book us and we had to change rooms to a single room with one bed😥 It is a nice Inn, breakfast is good, but sometimes slow

Great place The breakfast is a really nice touchThe staff is friendly, warm, & helpful

The room was a bit dated, but I don’t care about that It wasn’t as clean as others reported, but better than other places I’ve stayed The location for seeing sites was good I felt safe here as a solo traveler I’d stay here again

Lisa Skalecki

Clean, comfortable, updated, and a very comfy bed! I enjoyed staying here The free breakfast in the attached restaurant was excellent, the best I’ve had a hotel in a very long time Other restaurants for dinner are within walking distance

This is probably the closest you can stay to Great Sand Dunes National Park without camping in the park

The room was lovely and spacious It looked like the cleaning person left in a hurry though, the table top had dirty glass rings on it, the tile floor corners quite dirty Bare minimum towels and amenities

The mattress seemed old and the outside windows very dirty The pool and hot tub had perfect temperatures, But the hot tub did not bubble Nice fruit for breakfast It was the only Hampton Inn that I’ve been in that didn’t have an ice water dispenser (lemon or orange slices usually) As a Hilton Honors guest I was directed to buy water? Front desk polite, but not friendly as I’ve grown accustomed to

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and it is the only place I’ll stay when I visit Alamosa The staff has always been so accommodating and friendly The breakfast is great, the rooms are very clean and cozy, the parking lot feels safe at night as a solo young woman traveler

I’ve never had a less than great experience here and it’s the reason I look for Hampton Inns everywhere I travel

Finally! Enough outlets! Bed was super comfy, plenty of hot water 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1) a used kuerig cup was left in the kuerig in the room; and 2) I so enjoyed the stay that I asked about a counterpart hotel in Albuquerque but the staff couldn’t help meThe breakfast was really good 👍
