This was a lovely hotel with amazing amenities The fitness center is free to use if you’re staying at the hotel, and it’s not your standard hotel gym The fitness center is essentially its own full blown gym, with a great pool to boot

Rooms are clean with a lot of space The only thing that was off was the cleaning staff kept asking when we were leaving so they can clean the room despite us having late checkout

Rodney Ibrahim

Stayed 3 nights here while in town for some meetings Everyone in the area knows about this hotel because of the gym which is attached to the hotel The hotel is in a good area with a parking garage next door which is $27 a day

Rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds However there a few things that could use improvement First, the bathroom was very dimly lit Would help if there was a light in the actual shower Also there was no safe in the room There may be one in the room but I didn’t see oneIf you’re a gym person, the gym is legit Has most types of equipment along with nice locker room with steam, sauna, and jacuzzi They also have a nice lap pool outsideThe bar and restaurant are good and there is happy hour starting around 4 which is fun to take advantage of The food at the restaurant was actually quite good If I’m in the area I’ll be back here

I have no patience with being charged full price and then getting the ā€œno serviceā€ speech upon check in! They claim staffing issuesā€¦Additionally, I noticed that the two complimentary waters that come with every Marriott property on planet earth were not in my room I called the front desk and they said I had to come down to get them Irritating, but fine

But then it was like trying to convince a toddler to share their Tonka truck when I asked for more water since there was no daily service to replenish them He told me I could come back to the lobby and refill them at the water stationLookā€¦ I hate giving bad reviews Most of mine are positive However, my recent streak with Marriott brands is making me question my loyalty!Anywayā€¦ this is a great gym with a waterless hotel with no service attachedā€¦ the tacos were pretty good tooā€¦

Summary: For the price, I would not stay here again unless there wasn’t anything available around I would have rather gone to Holiday InnCons:- Cost of parking was about $36 for inside the garage

Staff did not offer other suggestions (apparently across the street was cheaper)- Breakfast was too expensive at $26 per person for a buffet I’d rather go to a restaurant and be waited on- No microwaves in rooms- Ice machine not working- No valet because “Covid”- Floor was outdated The place needs a remodel- The patio door was heavy to open Trees blocked a potential view- No laundry room- No garbage bags in trash bins This must result in extra work for the housekeeping- Water from sink does not taste good- Swimming pool was closed during the time frame it was supposed to be open- Even credit card machine was not working at check in- Internet was not greatPros:- Friendly staff- Location Gas station across the street and freeway and shopping very close by- Starbucks in lobby- Parking is secure

A huge thank you to Carolina and Katherine for their absolutely above and beyond customer service I called from Australia to arrange a surprise birthday gift for my sister who was staying as a guest Both ladies were not only professional but kind, generous and went out of their way to make my sister’s birthday special

If I could give them 100 stars I would! Thank you so much for your hospitality

Brian Crane

The room was fantastic! The location was great! And the amenities were great as well! However, I had a not great experience with the check in staff I had booked 2 rooms on Hotel Tonight, and I thought they were both “double queen” rooms When I went to check in they only had one “double queen” available

They said the other rooms were being cleaned and that I could come back in 1-15 hrs to get it The front desk gentleman even wrote down a note I called a few hours later and they went on to tell me there were no double queens available and I feel like they didn’t work with me nor try to go any extra out of their way to see if there was some sort of compromiseOther than that, great hotel

Another great stay at the Hampton Inn and suites for me I really enjoy staying in these kind of placesThe rooms are bigger than your typical hotel room and I enjoy that

My room has a king size bed, a nice desk, and a couch that you can relax on The bathroom is super spacious and this one I donā€™t know if this hotel is brand-new or it was just recently remodeld but it is very nice I like the decor in the room and everything that they got going on hereWhat you also get with this places you get breakfast in the morning I stopped in yesterday and had waffles and granola You can also get some hard-boiled eggs there too They also have a nice variety of fruitThe grounds are really well kept also I wish I wouldā€™ve had a chance to make it to the pool or the Jacuzzi but I didnā€™t get there So maybe youā€™ll have to check it out for me on your next day

Cem Ozar

Very spacious room, room and bed clean and comfy Tv was good Breakfast was poor

We have waited 5mins for cream to have a white coffee Lady , taking care of the breakfast area appeared very rare, so we had to investigate in the breakfast area for spoon, eggs etc Hotel was very quite and relaxing till students arrived šŸ™‚ The man at the reception was really helpful

Good budget hotel with no frills The location of the hotel is good and the rooms are clean and well kept The front desk staff is courteous and helpful

But, basic amenities like housekeeping services and complimentary refill of water bottles, tea/coffee pouches are not provided in the room The guests are asked to refill water bottles from the gymnasium (where you get only chilled water) or purchase them from the vending machine on the ground floor The breakfast menu is limited and very basic Overall good for a short weekend stay, but would not recommend for long stay

Syed Aftab

The hotel itself was great Nice and clean in a good location The reason for the low review is because of one of the employees there

He is an Asian man (for description purposes) He yelled at my aunt and other guests that were staying with us for a wedding because they were having a normal volume level conversation in the hotel lobby This employee threatened to call the police and have us kicked out of the hotel without a refund Again, the conversation was at normal, indoor-appropriate volume, away from guests rooms, in the lobby This kind of behavior is unacceptable The employee didnā€™t give a warning about the conversation at all and went off on my family out of nowhere Apparently this guy has been working there for 2 decades Get it together management Itā€™s a shame that such a good hotel is tarnished by a bad employee

Ela Moskovich

The hotel is extremely dated, everything is old and smellyWe booked a week through Hotelscom

After checking in and seeing with our own eyes how horrible this place is we tried to cancel the remaining 6 nightsThe hotel refused to give us a refund and Hotelscom is uselessā€¦ now, the consumer needs to find the way to fight two huge corporations:Marriott and HotelscomWhat are the chances???!

I liked this hotel very much It’s a throwback to the old days of Laguna Beach and has some quirky features, like a pool out by the sidewalk (enclosed in glass) and murals painted on the walls outside The views are fantastic and the staff was very friendly and helpful

It is due for a renovation — peeling paint on the railings, etc — and the manager told me that they are about to do a full redo of the place (including adding a restaurant) This hotel is NOT fancy, so if you want fancy, stay somewhere else If you want comfy, convenient, and reasonably priced, it’s great

Sheri Harrington

Location: 5 stars! Quality per price point: 5 stars! We only had 2 issuesā€¦ First, our room was never serviced in the 5 nights we stayed We would have to go to the front desk to request fresh towels House keeping never stepped foot inside of our room, even though we displayed the ā€œroom service requestedā€ sign daily

After 4 days I stopped by the front desk and asked if we could get our room serviced since we were going to be gone all day When we got home at 11:00 that night still nothing I went to the front desk and, very nicely, let them know of the situation Which leads us to issue number 2ā€¦ Juanita She was VERY dismissive and patronizing and never once offered an apology or an explanation Would I stay there again? Yes! Would I be prepared to clean by own room? Yes! I would also avoid Juanita

Austin Griffith

Good: The location is amazing It’s right in the middle of Laguna Beach, so you have options to go north or south for food, shopping and beaches There’s also beach access directly from the back of the property, which once again is very convenient

The staff was always extremely friendly and accommodatingBad: First off, I had no idea that my King Suite was going to be in another building down the street from the main hotel Laguna Riviera (it was the Seven Four One) In a way, that was a plus because it was extremely private, but there were a few downsides though First, there weren’t any staff stationed at the other property Any time I needed something (like turning on the fire pit), I would have to walk up the street and ask because there also weren’t phones in the rooms either Speaking of lacking technology, there wasn’t a TV in the room Can you believe it? No TV! I guess the property is trying to be a little less technology centric, but a TV should be a MUST in a hotel room If you they were trying to be less technology focused, why offer WiFi then? This was extremely annoying for my partner and I We probably won’t stay here again because of what it’s lacking, which is unfortunate because of the great location

We stayed 2 nights in room 114 and it was so fun The front desk staff ladies and gentlemen were absolutely great We were treated like family

There is wine at 5pm and cookies at 6pm What a great time We had to leave in a hurry for San Diego and could not thank the team properly Thank you so much to the team! This is highly recommended for all to stayThanks

Jessie Clewell

Out of all the places we stayed on our trip to California this was bay far the best Nice smelling lobby with a chess board and free wine from 5-6pm The rooms were clean and bright and ours had a private patio area

The cozy pool hot tub and fire pit was a great spot to relax Just a quick walk to the beach and another short walk to lots of restaurants shopping and other beaches and museums Will be back again with our kids next time

David Lyman

Iā€™d give it more stars if I could First the great:-The most comfortable beds in a hotel EVER You just sink in and crash

-They offer free wine at 5pm and hot and fresh cookies at 6pm-Free covered parking-The attention to detail in everything they do is so refreshing-Hot tub and pool are great-Balcony off of room is cozy and inviting to listen to the waves crash-The morning coffee and teas are great to take down to the waters edge in the mornings-The staff was so kindThe only things that could have been better is:-The doors and windows donā€™t block sound that great so if thereā€™s someone walking in the courtyard and theyā€™re talking youā€™ll hear it inside-The big beach is actually down the road to the south Down the Jill from the beach house is waterfront but itā€™s rocky So swimming there could be dangerous But it is beautiful and they sounds of the waves crashing onto the rocks are amazingBoth of those are so minor that I wasnā€™t even sure I should mention them We loved our stay here We only booked for two nights and then headed to Vegas for two nights We wish we would have just stayed here for all four nights We loved it here

Well for starters the bed was not made correctly Instead of a comforter there was a fitted sheet in its place It made for a horrible sleep

We also needed some towels so we decided to ask for room service after the third day They said we needed to stay 5 nights to get that service and it has to be scheduled 24 hours in advance On the fourth night my son decided to yell through the door we were out of toilet paper! Soooo I had to walk my happy rear end downstairs to get my own re fill of paper I just it was so weird that a hotel at this price you donā€™t get your room cleaned, have to get towels and re fill your own soap and toilet paper Not to mention it was a little dirty when we arrived but decided when they service the room we will let them know but that didnā€™t happen Luckily my wife brought Lysol wipes and cleaned the gross spots and floor herself If you like paying top dollar for a room and doing all your own housekeeping I would say this is definitely the place! Although the breakfast was delightfully good

keisha albert

Very nice hotel, the location is near a bunch of little shops you can walk to and it was near a small park that goes to a nice shopping center, Also only 15 mins from the beach! The hotel itself was clean and spacious had everything you needed to cook! The only reason I gave 3 stars was because the carpet in there was really dirty and brown and had dirt spots all over it definitely needed to be cleaned and was kind of Gross & The couch looked as if it needed to be cleaned as well!!I also would like to mention the breakfast is not great for this location, Not much of a selection youā€™ll definitely have to go somewhere for breakfast! Iā€™ve been to Hilton suites where the breakfast was amazing a little disappointing in this one!

Audrey Luo

Pros: the hot tub, bigger roomCons: not so clean I found a long white piece of something in the coffee maker filter which looked like a worm (itā€™s too gross to take a picture)

Thereā€™s problem with the sink drainage too and it smelled bad The breakfast was over at 9am, way too early I was lucky to finish my business call at 8:50am so I had the chance to eat a few things The location was not convenient Itā€™s far from the highway and main streets Would not stay there again

I have stayed here on 3 separate occasions for business and personal reasons Once again The property, rooms, amenities and staff are all 5 star in every way The rooms are contemporary and outstanding for cleanliness and comfort

Every part of the property is maintained perfectly The front desk people, house keeping, and everyone that works here does a wonderful job They all define ā€œfine hospitality ā€œ Better than the Ritz or Waldorf Go out of your way to stay Itā€™s perfect

Definitely staying here again! Rooms were spacious, quiet, very clean with nice decor The bed was very comfortable Location was very convenient

Staff was friendly, although I didn’t have to go to the front desk or ask for anything from housekeeping or maintenance Whenever I walked thru the hotel, all staff greeted me and other guests I’m a Hilton Honors member and I used the app to check in and out and used the digital room key The app is great! Overall excellent stay!

MAJOR thank you to Angelo (I believe that was his name) working the evening of Sunday the 10th I came in very exhausted after finding a cockroach in my room at the best western across the street at 10pm and he was so kind and helpful He was personable and very nice, and made me feel so much safer and better

We loved staying here and had no issues! Room was clean and had plenty of space, beds were comfy, staff was helpful, and the breakfast was delicious As a traveler on a budget, I have stayed in a lot of Super 8s and Motel 6s, and this was a huge step up from that for a very good price The pool and jacuzzi were great, we had them to ourselves on a Sunday night and it was lovely

The breakfast was hot and delicious, and the staff stayed really on top of making sure all the breakfast items were refilled/stocked The couch in our room pulled out to be a bed, and it was not nearly as comfy as the beds, but worked great for our group of 3 adults who each wanted our own bed space Parking was easy We would definitely stay here again

Alex Hyer

I’d say everything here is pretty good There’s a pool and spa as well as a pretty good breakfast overall They deserve a solid 5 stars for service

One of our rooms had some condensation dripping from the A/C which is above the room They immediately checked on it andā€”when they determined they wouldn’t be able to fix it immediatelyā€”switched us to the closest room they could find without hesitation Great staff overall!

California Jones

Itā€™s decent A bit stale smelling Breakfast was good

Wonā€™t touch the pool or jacuzzi here but jacuzzi doesnā€™t look bad Room was clean Carpet was not the best; wore sandals because I didnā€™t trust it Shower was clean and room had a balcony Why canā€™t we smoke in hotels like this? Itā€™s 2022 and they need to stop acting like the place already smells like roses(it doesnā€™t) Weight room open 24 hours which was Awesome and clean But the door doesnā€™t lock; Iā€™d hate for my girl to go there aloneā€¦ Out of the 3 25-3-star hotels in this area, this was the cheapest and feels like it

It presents a fancy place when you 1’st walk in It’s an older hotel, room needed minor fixes, we just did without Bathroom door would not lock, and sliding door track was held down with tape and came up with use

The beds are good come with 4 pillows and comfortable Nice cold fridge, but no microwave It was fine for our needs, and they accept pets at $50 a night

Susan Ranahan

About 80 women were there for a celebratory luncheon The service was outstanding and all did an excellent job attending to so many with so few The food was served hot and fresh, and the servings were not skimpy

Taste and presentation were great! There was a lot going on and timing was important The microphones worked, the table set up was lovely and it was a very enjoyable time

Brian C

Unfortunately, didn’t even get the opportunity to stay here Had a family emergency and needed a room for the night For some reason the website was allowing us to book any room, so when I called to book the room, I was quoted significantly higher than their own site

When I asked why, she said we needed to book on the site to get that price, even though I explained that the site wasn’t working Again she said we needed to book on the site and to have a nice dayclick Hopefully they will get their site working so others won’t run into the same experience

I was very impressed by the room we were given at this fairly new Hotel (less than 2 years old) It was a room for handicapped customers so it was large and nicely arranged with an extra large bathroom, a pullout couch in a decent size living area, and a large King size bed semi-seperate from the couch and desk area A refrigerator, microwave, closet cabinet, and coffee maker were also included

The hotel is somewhat small for a Marriot which is nice The breakfast is serve yourself and free There is a lounge on the first floor which was popular over the Labor Day weekend The personnel were very friendly and helpful I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to this area and looking for a reasonably priced hotel They have an underground parking facility but they usually charge extra for it

Bridgett

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this hotel The beds were extremely soft, the carpet felt super plush and soft, the rooms and entire hotel smelled fresh, clean and new The bathroom was a little tight but nothing to complain

I loved the walk in closet Oh and the desk with sliding privacy window was super cool, the TV has a mount that let you move it and the room key doubles as a light switch for the roomSuper happy with everything, and the staff were exceptional

Mark N

Very nice hotel, the room was in perfect condition, no issues that I could see We had a double queen, nicely arranged with a nice sitting area The room was also very clean! The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast as expected

The price was reasonable for the cleanliness and quality of the roomHighly recommend!

Pros: Great location, beautiful venue (roof top), affordable, staff were beyond kind / gracious / helpful I celebrated a wedding here and loved everything except the roomCons: Rooms were small, ocean view was blocked by cables / electrical wire

No chair for ocean view window Nail sticking out of bed head board Mold growing on bathroom walls Small fridge that didn’t work No coffee maker available upon request They didn’t allow us to have early check in and made us wait until 4 pm for check in Despite this the room seemed very dirty other than the bedding changed

Maia Aman

Wonderful place to stay! Historic and quaint charm with laid-back vibe Staff were very friendly and everything was clean The location is amazing as itā€™s just steps from the beach with lots of dining and shops around

They have a coffee bar with pastries for breakfast in the morning and you can enjoy their rooftop with great ocean views

I have stayed at Casa Del Camino many times for both work and pleasure It’s a nice little hotel, with cozy rooms, friendly staff, and a good breakfast It’s close to many shops, the beach, and restaurants

Despite it’s proximity to the main street, it’s also relatively quiet Some of the rooms may be a little small for families, but for couples, it is idealThere’s a reason I keep going back I highly recommend

Stayed at this hotel for three nights with the family The hotel is about a 20 minute drive to Disneyland and about a 20 minute drive to Newport Pier The hotel is definitely a business class type of hotel

The hotel is very clean The pool is very nice No free breakfast but that is to be expected at a hotel that is more of a business class hotel My main complaint about this hotel is the $39/night for parking that they charge Our room was cleaned each day which I have found does not always happen these days at all hotels Shirley’s Bagels is a good bagel place close by If you do go to Newport Pier prepare for the challenge of finding a good parking space but once you do the beach there is a lot of fun and there is a lot of good places to eat down there The four stars instead of five stars is simply because of the insane rate of $39/night for parking

We stayed here last summerThis is such a wonderful hotel Very clean and very spacious

It is near tons of restaurants and 5 mins from the airport, though it stays very quiet! The pool is gorgeous and clean and their outdoor seating area with the fire pits are amazingEvery person who worked there was so kind and accommodatingWe stayed a week Our only complaint is there was a wedding the whole time we were there so it was very loud and we had to park very far away The entire front entrance to get in was closed off so you had to magically find a door to get to your roomAll in all, for this price, we will be staying again!

My wife and I spent two nights in one of the beach view rooms and it was very nice and comfortable The a/c unit probably knocked out any outside noises so no complaints there We met the owner who was running the office and he could not have been more accommodating

I needed a couple bandages for a scraped foot and he gave me several Super nice guy The location is a bit of a walk from downtown but the trolley stop is not far away or the walk is pretty nice too The beach is a down a short path to a public street then some stairs down to the ocean Beach chairs and a couple boogie boards are available free to guests, a nice surprise For the price this is really a nice option and if I were to come back to Laguna this would be the first place I would check for an available room Enjoyed our stayThanks

really great little place The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were nice white linens

Nice towels and awesome shower wish we could have stayed a little bit longer so we could have enjoyed the beach walk but had to be in overnight and go def recommend if you need a centrally located place in Laguna Beach had fridge and microwave

Stayed for a quick 1 day trip with the family and I have to say unbeatable price you get absolutely everything with this place, the peace the view and the spacious room that is renovated Anyone looking to stay anywhere else look no further this place is definitely a little gem PS donā€™t go based on how the place looks from the outside I almost looked away while booking because of it and now I know it wouldā€™ve been a great mistake

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days with my family and I am very satisfied with my visit The rooms were big, clean, and had a microwave and refrigerator We also had breakfast every morning and the options were nice (eggs, biscuits, muffins, cereal, bacon, etc)

The location also had a FREE Happy Hour which changed daily but had chips, salad, cheese, wine, beer, and pizza one night Itā€™s great to grab a snack before relaxing by the pool or in the jacuzzi which are both well-maintained and clean The only issue we faced was with the early check in fee which was $3000 dollars (could easily be avoided) Overall, great hotel, perfect location close to the ocean and plenty of places to eat for a reasonable price

We really enjoyed our stay The hotel was clean and accommodating The location was perfect for us

My suggestion at this time is since we were staying for an extended period of time, I would prefer not to have to ask for extra towels, wish they were just left for us, also since we were on vacation we would have liked breakfast to end later than 9AMWe would book again The staff was friendly and helpful

Richard Luery

The hotel provides a nice breakfast which includes an omelet bar The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpfulThe rooms were very nice and clean

The location for me was great since I visited people in laguna woods The hotel has a happy hour with free snacks and drinks every day I was impressed with this hotel since they tried to please their guests which is rare these days My only complaint is that I could not book for the entire week I stayed since the hotel was full and the room ac was very loud

Our time there was very nice, but the room is dated and some of the furniture could use some repair/scratch treatment They could also update the chairs in the room to something a little more comfortable Otherwise, the breakfast was basically continental/American and had some decent choices

The hotel is also conveniently located to shopping and many good restaurants and fast food places I would recommend them to anyone who wants a decent place to stay for a reasonable price

My cousin and his wife stayed here to be close to my Mom in Laguna Woods They were given a discount on the room, and breakfast was included They reported it was very nice

There was a fridge in the room and she loved the heat lamp and plush towels in the bathroom! It was very clean and they loved the beautiful grounds They would definitely stay here again

Tommy Savage

Great clean rooms with a so-so continent breakfast, but it is free, so how can I complain The brightest point of the hotel besides it’s cleanliness, great sized rooms and fair prices is the staff that works there They are the most helpful individuals I have ever met

They were always concerned about my needs and did everything they could to take care of everything for me It didn’t matter if it was the morning shift or evening shift they were all fantastic! Thank you ladies and gentlemen for being true professionals!
