Obviously comes with a high price being dead center in Pismo and offering a beautiful view of the city from the rooftop and beach if your lucky to get an ocean view It is modern, but lacks the cleanliness that would be expected of an expensive hotel The valet parking was nice and customer service was decent

They had a small bar downstairs that I did not utilize The restaurant on the rooftop with the hot tub was fairly nice Quality view, but it got kind of chilly and windy Drinks were made well, but the waiter and bartender were in no rush The most convenient thing is the location There is good eats and coffee shops all in walking distance The rooms were clean and the service was good The hallways could use a touch up as they seem outdated A decent location if your honeymooning, but there is some hotels near the cliffs that provide better rooms if you plan on staying indoors If your a family looking for an easy going trip, this is the place to be

Inn at the Pier is my new favorite central coast hotel The quality of service provided here is superb and rare these days The staff is friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond being kind and helpful

The oceanfront view is nice because it’s situated across from the pier, and from the vantage of the balcony, there is an expansive view The location is perfect, and the hotel is within walking distance of everything that downtown Pismo Beach has to offerThe rooms are comfy, the beds were amazing and the shower is huge Try it, you’ll love it!

Vasily Vitchevsky

Stayed here for one night while driving along the coast Location is great, you can walk to the beach and nearby restaurantsI was excited about having a morning coffee on the rooftop, but they don’t allow entry outside the working hours of the bar, so it’s not accessible until noon or after 9pm

Valet parking is unfortunately mandatory, however it’s included in the price so some people might like it Crew was niceRoom was good, big and quiet, however the water pressure was somewhat weakI paid over $400 for a night, which didn’t even include breakfast, and the one thing I looked for (rooftop view) was closed, so I think the price is too high for what you get

Hampton Inn has vastly improved in the past 5 years to the point where I am actually impressed lately This one is not impressive Room was newer than my colleagues had on floors 1-2

Staff – super super friendly Unfortunately missed my diamond status and talked me down from an upgrade on day 1, although I had a higher class room for days 2-3 I am sure it was because they missed my status They apologized on day 2 when I said I wanted to keep my room…Not clean Very dusty above 5’4” Floors wet when I several hours after I arrivedFront counter pantry out of stock of everything frozen except burritosAir conditioning couldn’t keep up at all during the 75-85F days Then super cold by morningNumber of Stays: oneRoom: King Suite, first floor, 334June 2022As a frequent business & leisure traveler, I’ve decided to go back through the years and review the properties I stay at most Hilton (Diamond) Marriott (Titanium Elite) This is my first in this effort

The General Manager was amazing Very sweet, friendly and helpful Even when all her staff called in she worked a 12 + hr day and was still very kind

the room was nice, my only complaint is i had a small old TV in the room I was told that the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors have updated TVs so i recommend those rooms The spa and pool have an AMAZING view specially at sunset!

Jessica Tuck

Location is convenient and breakfast and breakfast staff were wonderful However, upon checking in we were not notified that the carpets were scheduled to be cleaned We came back to our room with our luggage and things thrown all over the beds

The carpet was so wet it sloshed when we walked and we had to soak it up with towels We brought our stuff out to the car before even going to sleep because we didn’t want it to get soaked being on the floor The air conditioner made terrible noises and kept us up all night We brought this to the attention of the staff and they just shrugged and kept doing what they were doing

The Cliffs is extraordinary! A staycation within its premises We stayed in a beautiful king suite room, well polished and very clean Upon arrival you are greeted with free valet service and free welcome wine glass

Outside in the courtyard is a decent size pool and beautiful views from atop the bluffs overlooking the Pacific To the right there are stairs that lead you to a public but very secluded beach Hotel staff is more than accommodating and had a very relaxing stay My wife took advantage of the day spa located on the first floor Would stay again!

Love and Peace

We had a wonderful short gateway on 4th of July weekend at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa Everything was simply perfect from the gorgeous ocean view from our balcony to tiny but precious details such as rubber duck for the bathtub enjoyment The staff was very friendly and helpful

Literally every member of the Cliffs team went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as it can be We did not spend time on the pool but instead we enjoyed the gorgeous beach with a breath taking view, which located down the steps The hotel has a Marisol restaurant where we dined in for 3 evenings We love the view, the service and the menu As vegan, I am never sure if I would be eating anything exciting when I go to a new place Marisol met my expectations ! We highly recommend The Cliffs Hotel and Spa – we had great time staying there and we will be coming back for sure

Jodi Fleming

Everything about our long weekend stay at the Cliffs Resort and Spa exceeded our expectations! Beautifully appointed and spacious room, lovely pool and jacuzzi, incredible ocean views, walking trails to small beaches, an oceanfront lawn with entertainment and plenty of chairs and tables to relax in! Our afternoon at the spa was delightful! My esthetician was so accommodating at my every request and made me feel and look amazing My daughter’s massage was the best she ever had Dinner at the restaurant was scrumptious, front desk staff and valet were so friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this beautiful property for your next stay in Pismo!

We stayed here as part of a US road trip and safe to say it was potentially our favourite place to stay (and that included a stay in the MGM Signature in Vegas!) Our room was super clean, very spacious and had everything we needed Hot tub on the balcony was a great touch

Free underground parking was useful and the location right on the beach was greatThe staff were also fantastic! They took a genuine interest in my wife and I, taking time to ask about our accents and home country while also giving recommendations of what to see around the areaThey also offered us beach towels and beach chairs which was really appreciated when you’re not a local/couldn’t pack those things in our suitcases!Overall an absolutely fantastic stay and we would not hesitate returning!

Jan Gardiner

We have stay med in 5 other Pismo Beach locations Recently we stayed for two nights celebrating our 45 year anniversary All staff were brilliant from Brenda, Ashley at check in, Jordon in the dining room

The hitel dining room is excellent from the great views, good food and service The housekeeping was superb Each room has a fireplace and hit tub We had a partial ocean view The front rooms have comfortable full ocean view I highly recommend

Nie John

Booked last minute and was blown away by my experience! The staff were genuinely pleasant, very responsive, and incredibly accommodating – Fiona and Ashley (not sure if that’s her first name, but I know her last name was Johnson) in particular! The room was immaculate, the view and location were OUTSTANDING, and the spa on the balcony was the perfect and luxurious cherry on top! I will definitely be staying here again!

The reason I’m giving this only a three is because when you call the their number to book a room, it’s automated Pick one to reserve a room, so that’s what I did, booked my room thinking it was through the hotel, but according to the front desk, I booked through a third party, which I did not do, or at least I didn’t think I was I called their number direct

So I didn’t get tickets to happy hour I know it might not be a big deal, but when you call a business number, it should direct you to this business, not a third party Other than that, most of the employees gave great customer service, they had to come into my room to change the battery in the smoke alarm because it was Chirping every five seconds indicating the battery was low, my sink was plugged The beds are very comfortable, air conditioning works amazing Swimming pool and hot tub was great Rooms are clean The gentleman at the bar after 5 pm was very friendly and has great customer service Breakfast was good

Melissa Tomberlin

This hotel was so great! From the rooms to the pool to the service! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Never have I ever enjoyed a stay at a hotel so much! The breakfast was great they offer cocktails for a small price if you so wish The breakfast it’s self is very filling and the variety is superb Thank you Oxford Suites you made my daughter’s Birthday unforgettable!

Tim Buttrey

Our family has stayed here several times over the years The rooms are spacious and well appointed The pool was warm and the spa was the perfect temperature

The included breakfast is as good as any you will get and reminds me of Embassy Suites The grounds are well manicured and well taken care of This property is a good value for this area

Room 304 was great until the sinks and bath tub clogged up in the middle of “our” night Front desk was very nice and was able to accommodate us with the vacant room next door I highly recommend this hotel and this room (when plumbing is fixed)

It has a great balcony view and the king beds were beyond perfection One of the best night sleeps I have had in a long time The wife was also happy about that Will be back

Veronica Cortez

Booked an ocean view room for one night Checked in through text and received a text that our room was ready earlier than check in time Definitely a plus since we got in early

The lady at the front desk was super nice and quick The view was great The room was clean overall The bench at the foot of the bed was dirty but I just set my stuff there didn’t sit on it The fridge wasn’t cold enough, we just kept our stuff in our ice chest We liked the fire pits available, we got to enjoy the sunset from there I would stay there again

Tom Scott

I called ahead for an early check in I only had a small window of time because I was coming from a wedding and had to run back to it I was told that there would be no problem getting in by 3 PM

When I arrived at 3pm, the front desk told me that there were no rooms available When I pressed the issue and told them about my call, a room was made available, room 132 I was checked in and told about your no smoking policy When I went to the room, it was definitely not ready at all and reeked of marijuana So I hurriedly went back to the front desk and told them Another room was made available, room 202 When I arrived at the room, I saw cleaning towels on the bathroom sink When I opened the cabinet underneath, there was a pile of dirty towels Cleanliness is high on my list of priorities when I choose a hotel When I see things wrong in that area, I can only assume that there are many other things that I can’t see The lady at the front desk was nice, but the staff in general seemed to be in disarray This was my first time using your hotel and will be my last

The ocean side pool, grass areas, fire pit, & couches were amazing The adults only hot tub area was a plusThis animal friendly resort was awesome We did not have our animals, but ended up with a pet friendly room It was spotless They had a clean dog bed in the room too What a great touch

Great location Beautiful views Not so good stay

When we walked into our room my 10 year old son pointed out all of the fly bugs on the ceiling He opened the wooden curtains and found plenty of them dead and alive in the windowsill I noticed the windows don’t have screens so I opened the window to try and get as many as I could out What actually happened is the just all flew away from that corner and into the rest of the room It’s a beautiful location so I asked the front desk to help and they said they were sorry but they couldn’t help with the fly bugs, they could send maintenance to get as many put but that’s all they could do When we went back into the room, there weren’t any more on the ceiling or window but I noticed there were left dead on the floor At night, before we went to bed, we could see all the little fly bugs flying around, once again front desk said it’s because we are so close to the beach and during this time of the year there were many of them flying around, they asked us to not open our windows (which windows didn’t other than to try and get them out initially) At checkout, I asked for an adjustment since we paid close to $500 for the room and had to sleep with bugs around us (might as well have camped) They said they couldn’t make any adjustments because we booked through a third party, then offered me a bottle of Gatorade for the inconvenience We will not be returning to this hotel and hopefully they invest in some window screens

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! Everything was great The staff were very friendly, the grounds are beautiful, and our room was perfect We loved that you can rent bikes in the gift shop

It’s so convenient and there’s a bike trail that takes you down to the beach right next to the resort We spent an entire afternoon riding around and exploring The room hot tub was great, we also did a hillside hot tub which was awesome as well Definitely 5 stars and would recommend

Christine Thomas

Hillside hot tubs were a total delight! We did a 2 person tub for 2 hours and it was just perfect Temp felt to be about 101-102 and you could feel hotter water coming into the tub intermittently (from past experience 104 gets too hot too quickly for us and we were comfortable the entire time which in our experience is ~102 for us) View of the surrounding trees was tranquil and all the tubs afford privacy

The gift shop has several nice and reasonably priced bottles of wine which they pour into plastic cups for you We left relaxed and refreshed, will definitely return!

S. Ybarra

My sister and I stayed one night recently in March in a room with a private balcony with hot tub The room was nice and the hot tub was great but the staff was mixed The gentleman at the front desk was friendly but when I called the next morning to see if we could get a later checkout, the woman over the phone was clipped and rude

Then when I called to let them know we were checking out/vacating the room, 30 seconds later as we were loaded up with bags and reaching for the doorknob, someone knocked on our door to confirm we were actually leaving I was a little taken aback I’ve never experienced that at any hotel let alone what is considered a top notch hotel We also had to walk from the car up a small hill to our room It wasn’t far but I’m hoping they offer rides to the rooms farther up the hill We weren’t offered oneWith all of this, I give this a four star The room and hot tub were very nice, the area is beautiful and most of the staff were friendly I’ve booked time in the hot tubs before and have always loved it here I would definitely use the hot tubs again and I’d try the overnight experience again as well just keeping in mind the service is hit or miss

This boutique hotel was perfect for our weekend! The room and property were well-cared for, personalized, and comfortable I loved the mini kitchen with dishes already supplied for a night in if you wanted The pool was decorated with inviting lights, well-heated, and included a cozy lounging area with heaters

The owner checked us in and came to our room to make sure that we had everything we needed (including coupons for the surrounding food establishments & popcorn) and when he found out it was my birthday, he even gave me a free bottle of my local wine!

Corrinna Torres-Ribeiro

My family and I just checked out of Shell Beach Inn this morning I can’t say enough good things about this place It was our first stay and I, honestly, plan to come back

The room was pretty, clean (and it gave me that clean feel not just superficial clean, thank goodness), and staff was so nice! My kids loved the proximity to Dinosaur Caves Park as well They enjoyed the pool and it’s nice little seating areas (can you say backyard inspo?) ❤️

We spent the 4th of July weekend in Pismo at Valentina Suites Our suite, 501 is very comfortable with big rooms and high ceilings The unit is in good condition and nicely updated

I enjoyed the unit tremendously A couple of things that were not great The unit faces the freeway which runs along the properties on the opposite side of the street So we had traffic noise all day and night Also, the glasses, plates and cookware are fine but not on the same level as the physical accommodations of the unit All in all a very nice stay and I would recommend it with some tempered expectations

S G

My family and I stayed at Valentina Suites for two nights and from the moment we arrived we could not have asked for a better experience Valentina is a family owned establishment and the owners could not be more kind, helpful and accommodating I was impressed by their meticulous attention to detail

The love and pride they take in presenting a piece of Pismo Beach history to their guests is clear to see The beautifully designed mission revival architecture lends an old town charm to the place, while the exquisite suites, each named in honor of a notable Pismo Beach resident, provide all the comfort and convenience of a modern hotel The ocean views are beautiful and the patio attached to our suite was the perfect place to listen to the waves crash while also taking in the quaint beauty of the townSitting a mere two blocks from the ocean, guests have easy access to an incredible beach perfect for walking, jogging, sun bathing and just about any form of beach play Valentina Suites is also within walking distance of many delicious and varied food options I could spend a week there just to try all of the food!Whatever might take you to Pismo Beach, CA I am confident that a stay at Valentina Suites will not disappoint!

Jonathan McDonald

No staff were ever present We were asked to do their laundry before we left We were also asked to clean the kitchen, and the restroom

Other rooms had screaming patrons at night, and there was no one present to reprimand that behavior The cookwares were malformed, also had poison on them Stains were present across the property Only half the parking was gated The property was beautiful I was impressed with the low water gardening I thought the architecture was nice The inspiring life stories of the locals were great However, a regular hotel suite is clearly superior

Matt Pagel

Absolutely love this place! This hotel is perfect for self-sufficient travelers There’s no front desk–they just text you codes for the front door and your room I never expected how nice it would be after a long drive to just go straight to my room, rather than dealing with check-in

Beyond that, the place is gorgeous My room was spacious with excellent bedding and a fabulous shower & toiletries There’s a shared living room area that was very cozy We spent mornings sitting on the couch drinking coffee and listening to records What a great way to start the day! There’s also a nice shared wet bar area that has excellent coffee, very fancy teas, a bottle of complimentary wine, as well as some additional treats that popped up now and then What a great home base for our trip to SLO!

J.D. DAVIS II

Came to SLO for my wife’s birthday and couldn’t have been happier with our decision to stay at The Butler Hotel This was a new type of stay for us as there is no front desk, however once we walked in we immediately understood that this property was special and didn’t require one They email and text you the code to the front fore and the code to your room

Upon walking in we were shocked at how nice everything looked and the attention to detail with the design There was a bottle of wine and local treats on the bar, and cute little reading/sitting area, and the interior design was amazingAs for the room, we loved the tall ceilings, lighting, and bathroom design Everything just seemed to flow wellI would definitely recommend this place!

There’s a reason this place gets almost all 5 star reviews- it’s honestly perfect If there was a rooftop pool I’d want to move inIt’s definitely different

If you love the experience of staying at a hotel, this might not be for you If you want the feel of an AirBnB with the hotel touches, this is the place If you like great design, thoughtful touches but don’t want to interact with people, this is the placeThere is a contactless check-in, you simply punch in your special code The bar area is set up with complimentary wine in the afternoon and a nice continental breakfast spread in the morning (little Danishes that tasted so fresh, muffins, fruit, etc) There is a lounge area with beautiful seating, a record player with great albumsWe stayed in Room 4 and the bed was so comfortable The bathroom was clean and spacious Every detail is well thought outThe main area was a bit warm during the day with a large fan running, but our room was perfectly ACedWe took advantage of the bikes and cruised around the downtown area, all the way to Madonna Inn and to the SLOMA We also sat outside in the morning with our coffees, which you can prepare with the french presses set up in the kitchenI don’t have plans to be in SLO again, but if I did, I would 100% stay here againKelly was The Butler and so helpful with any questions we had Thanks Kelly!

Our room on the third floor was very spacious The decor was updated and very nice Starbucks coffee available in the room which I haven’t found in other hotels

The outdoor seating area with fire pit was enjoyable at night while listening to the ocean waves Receiving texts that our room was ready for check in prior to arrival and text about check out was appreciated It’s located within a short walk to the pier and the beach The lounge offered tempting cocktails which many guests were enjoying We enjoyed our visit!

The rooms are a bit on the smallish side, but still spacious and comfortable Shower was great No tub in our room, but even with us having a side view/non ocean front room, we could still see the beach/waves and hear the ocean at night

Would definitely stay again Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast It’s nothing fancy, but quick, efficient and tasty with a great ocean few Friendly staff and clean facility overall

Stayed here for 2 nights on vacation

Amazing hotel The view from the room balcony was gorgeous The beds felt like you were sleeping on clouds The bathroom could have been a little more updated but it was decent Only complaints the fridge never got cold and room service never came and cleaned after our first day We left to explore and came back 4-5 hours later to beds not made up and dirty towels we made a pile of still on the floor Overall I would recommend

We’ve stayed here several times, and the first time we stayed here we were thrilled about having found a gem of a little hotel, so it’s unfortunate that we have to call out the Inn for the condition it’s currently in In short, maintenance and cleaning are very neglected Our room features one faucet that doesn’t work, one faucet that leaks all over the counter and onto the floor (and has been leaking long enough to leave hard water deposits), carpet that is beginning to fray, unpainted wall patchwork (also found in hallways), unpatched scrapes in the walls, the shower doesn’t drain well, wood trim that has been broken and left shoddily/not repaired, worn out and mismatched chair upholstery, missing patio screen door, curtains are filthy, dirt and dust in lots of places (oddly not dirty everywhere) and the finish on wood chairs and cabinets is pretty rough

It pains us to have to leave this review, because the location in a wooded creekside spot is so magical, but it’s clear that there is a lack of oversight on the execution of cleaning and maintenance – this doesn’t look like something I can blame Covid on We’ll be watching the hotel’s website for a note about improvements to determine if we’ll come here again next year

We were very disappointed 😞! The rooms are small while the restroom was big! No coffee makers in room, had to go downstairs to get coffee The cleaning was not good I paid $1900 for 5 nights, was supposed to have a jetted tub it did not work when I asked if I would be reimbursed some of my money was told no

My balcony was not cleaned when we entered the room, nor was it cleaned during our stay Not enough amenities, plastic cups, glassware not washed during cleaning Very discouraged 😞

A little farther away from the main town, but not without its perks! I booked this trip as a more budget friendly option that included similar amenities at other higher end hotels The staff here were super friendly and the rooms were extremely clean! The cottage style vibe was really nice overlooking the ocean! This place also has fire pits outside that allow you to relax in the later afternoon This place is also next to a cliff, which allows you a better view of the entire ocean and for some amazing sunsets! However, one thing I did notice is there can be a lack of privacy in the ocean view rooms

Although not a major issue, it was an affordable option with an ocean view that made for an excellent trip This hotel although a short ways away, is still near the main town and it is not difficult to walk if your in for a little morning exercise! Love Pismo area and I would highly recommend the cottage inn if your on a budget looking for a clean and friendly atmosphere!

Boston Batavia

The room was a very nice size, clean The bed was very comfortable, the towels were fluffy, the amenities were very nice with lavender lotion, mint shampoo, etc The room was equipped with a microwave, which is very useful

There was also a lovely fireplace in the room to keep you warmThe view of the sea from the inn was perfect There happened to be pods of dolphins in the sea in front of the inn We could see them flipping and jumping I wish I could’ve stayed more than one nightThe only things I would add for the room are slippers and kettle for non-coffee drinkers

Lily Baldwin

I loved this hotel The staff were very kind and helpful The location was perfect

It is about half a mile walk on the beach (or street) to the pier so quiet and very easy beach access without the crazy traffic I thought it had the best patio amenities compared to the other hotels lined next to it, with easy to light gas camp fires and fantastic views The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that my room needed updating – the bathroom and beds were clean but tired We fully intend to go back and hope they bring the room up to date sooner rather than later, especially for the price

Excellent location for our needs with local charm, but not without flaws I read reviews and was expecting a very basic inn There are some cute touches, but the creature comforts are lacking for the pickier traveler

The bed really seems smaller than the advertised queenI have a queen and slept on a queen the following city The very firm tiny mattress was fine when I slept on my side – so more an issue of size not comfort I did bring some of my own extra plush blankets to ensure I was warm enough Pillows were subpar The shower had extremely low or close to zero hot water pressure, but the bath tile and sink appeared to be updated in the last decade I washed my hair in the sink with cold water We did visit the restaurant and they seemed to be challenged with not enough qualified staff Pancakes and eggs were good enough, but coffee was not to my liking Lobby coffee and tea were a nice touch, with a slightly better brew in the lobby I did get a text about free wine, but I was not able to enjoy it A pleasant surprise was the two-person hot tub which was awesome after hiking and biking for two dayswe did also get a kick out of the nightly frog serenades Some of the car engines could be heard early but the benefit of a single story was no audible hotel door slamming or heavy-footed neighbors Phoenix in the lobby was very friendly upon check-in

Took a short trip to SLO for a concert Booked a stay at the Apple Farm Inn Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprise how lovely the grounds of the surrounding area were

Upon checking in, we were given fresh cookies and tickets for free wine tasting in the Apple Farm Cellar They also offer coffee, tea and warm apple cider in the lobby after 5pm Although the buildings seem older the interiors of the rooms were upgraded with great thoughtfulness to comfort and convenience The the room was well situated and bed was very comfortable with crisp clean linens Although our room was close to the street, literally right off the highway, relatively little noise could be heard from inside our room In the morning we had breakfast at their restaurant The coffee was great and our breakfast was delicious! We will definitely plan to stay there on our next trip! They offer great rates as well Give Apple Farm Inn a try

Ron Mellen

We showed up on Thursday night with no reservation The hotel was pretty much sold out We had a very nice, helpful man named Steve trying to find us a room

Not only did he get us in, but our rooms were spectacular We were two couples and we wanted to stay one more night and we were able to keep our same rooms with the great juggling the hotel desk did to get us covered I love this place and will definitely come back again soon

Just came back from celebrating our 5 yr anniversary And this place is amazing My husband and I were so pleased with the customer service upon check in

Not to mention he emailed them before arriving and they helped him by preparing the room with roses and champagnethey have so much to offer their guests They go above and beyond They were accommodating with the roomswe wanted to enjoy the hot tub room and next day we got to relax and have full ocean view Amazing breakfast while watching the ocean Very clean and close to everything you’ll need

Crystal Gramm

This was a interesting experience The negative points were pretty negative, the positive were extremely positive! I would return based on the location and positive points The beach is right across the street! Sundeck has amazing views! The breakfast was so delicious! And the free pie for dessert was such a nice treat! I would recommend getting a bottle of wine, grabbing your free slice of pie + ice cream, take it to the sundeck until the sun goes down

So the room we choose could definitely use updates, more attention to cleaning, and repairs I will be more careful when choosing my room next visit

Thomas Blain

I stayed here with my family four years ago and I still think back dreamily about it It was easily the best option in the area and probably the best stop on our trip The owner was super friendly, they had breakfast

At night we laid on our balcony listening to the ocean waves The rooms were comfortable and had character It was great I hope to go back some day

Booked a 3 night stay for our anniversary, in March We’ve stayed here before and were pretty happy, but this time, the bed was hard, (hurt the hubby’s back) the fire place didn’t work, the sofas were dirty, i didn’t even want to sit on them, i put a blanket over them, (thankfully i travel with my own fresh blankets just in case the hotel is dirty and i needed them here!) Oh and we only had 1 chair for our patio And i paid extra for the upgraded room! Staff didn’t do anything to move us into a nicer room, even though i called to inform them of the broken fireplace within the first hour of checking in

Lady at the desk ask if I really needed it? Humm, YES I DO! First off it was March so it was very cold at night and sometimes during the day Second it’s a romantic anniversary getaway and website said the room was accommodated with one Third I paid over $300 for our stay and i should get what i want, especially when i notified the front desk within the first hour of checking in that our fire place wasn’t working They promised to send a maintenance man the first day, but we were never notified if he did come I ended up calling the front desk back a couple hours later on that same day and the front desk lady said they did try but couldn’t get it to go and that sometimes their fireplaces don’t work and they couldn’t help/control it 🤦 She also said they couldn’t move us because they were booked, but the room next to us sat empty for 2 days 🤷 Only used once by a family of 4, then sat there dirty until the next day, when the maid finally arrived Overall, it’s a gamble on if you’ll get a good room, no way to guarantee that since they are individually owned and all differently decorated Not sure if I’ll be back, might spend my $300-400 on a place where the staff deserves it! ✌️

Paolo Chiarlone

Great location and the unit we were in looks like a holiday beach house, very well furnished and very cleanOn the bad side that bad look like it was not clean or at least the sheets were not looking cleanThe people at the window lobby are always annoyed when you ask something, they really don’t like doing their job

However the location is great and you can walk to the beach for a decent price

Jacob Frantz

Wanted it to be better Great location 5 min to Oceano dunes Beach room was nice Size relatively clean updated somewhatBig drawbacks was in a studio room with doors closed between next room family with kids you could hear everything thank God they finally crashed around 10 The shower well it literally took 10 minutes to get hot water most people would have given up but I just couldn’t believe no hot water at 10:00 at night

It finally got hot while I was braving a cold brrrr showerProbably will avoid this place The lady who I checked in with was very nice and it’s overall a nice looking place

Usually you can expect consistent accommodations with an embassy anywhere you book Very disappointed with this property Room was was rundown and dated

As we entered, the room smelled stale, the carpet had rips, popcorn ceiling was peeling Bathroom was tiny and didn’t feel clean Toilet has stains in bowl 2 nights at this hotel We made the most of the first night Returned to our room for the second night to go straight to bed and leave early A dog in a room nearby was barking – a small dog so it was a constant YAP! We called the front desk to report and all they could do was send security to investigate The front desk was barely apologetic and said there wasn’t anything they could do because of the pet policy It was as if they had a scripted response and confided the pet policy has only caused more trouble than good After an hour of trying to sleep through the yapping, I called and asked to be moved to another room The last thing I wanted to do at 11pm was pack up and relocate for the night They were a little ore sympathetic in person when we walked down to the front desk but you could tell it was an uncomfortable situation as they were not even permitted “by policy” to contact the guest via cell phone to let them know the dog they left in the room was barking and poor dog was upset So horrible We were relocated to the back of the hotel backing up to the freeway Guess the consistent freeway traffic buzz was less painful than the yapping dog Very disappointing

Sara R

No issues during this stay! Room was well kept and clean Carpet appeared a bit older and was worn but I wouldn’t say as bad as other coastal hotel/motels nearbyBreakfast at Embassy Suites never disappoints

The omelet bar is always a treat! Warmed food is always replenished and fresh Lots of variety for all appetitesLounge and Atrium area has many live plants and is so beautiful just to sit and relax especially during cocktail hour

C. Young

I appreciated the free hot breakfast and evening happy hour… so rare these days!Fitness center was sufficient, but uncomfortable if there’s more than one other person in thereRoom was comfortable enough, but I couldn’t figure out the thermostat so temperature was inconsistent Couch was oddly positioned so the chaise was right in front of the door; you have to open the door really wide so you can walk around the chaise to get in and then walk back around to close the door

Hotel is in a shopping center, so it’s close to food, everyday shopping necessities, and plenty of parkingThere’s a free (very slow) EV charger a few buildings down, if you need one I’d plug in early in the morning while I worked out/shower/breakfast and that would get me enough charge to do errands around town and some sightseeing nearby There’s a supercharger across the street at Madonna Inn if you need something fasterOverall I had a pleasant stay

This spot is such a hidden gem! Myself and my partner stayed a quick night for a little staycation, and were blown away by the loveliness of the inn The house itself is stunning, an ode to a grander time The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly

It was very clean and our room felt very private It was very cold when we were there, but on a warmer evening, the beautiful front porch is the perfect place to relax The gardens are sprawling and just wonderful to walk through I can’t wait to come back and spend more time here!
