This is my favorite hotel! Love the fact that it’s across the street from Carabbas and close to Target Staff is so friendly Beds are so comfy and like the 4 smaller pillows

My sister in law and I have been best friends since high school and we love to come every month or so to unwind and catch up The hotel never disappoints! And thanks again to the maintenance man who stopped and showed me how to use the ice machine He didn’t have to do that and on a hot day, Dorothy and I sure did appreciate it!

Checking in was a breeze and employees were very amicable King bedroom was nice and clean although the carpet could use an update I appreciate that the self-parking and breakfast buffet is included in the rate

Close to a number of shopping centers and highways so easy to grab a bite, buy any necessities, or make my way to points east or west

Outdated rooms, mildew and cigarette smell throughout the entire hotelnot to mention limited response from hotel staff!!How disappointing this property ended up being compared to the reviews and photos

Upon check-in I was greeted with a somewhat lackadaisical attitude by hotel staff Never was I asked what type of room would I like based on my preferences already on fileOnce the entering the room you immediately notice the wear and tear on walls, furniture, and carpet However the worst part would be the odor!! Stale cigarettes and perfume mixed together with dampnessThis had to be the worst experience I’ve had in a long timeI’ll admit the complimentary breakfast was good Staff kept all items refreshed and cleanHotel location was excellentnestled amongst routes 50, 301, 197, as well as MLK HighwayAll in all I’ll more than likely never return to the this property simply because of the lack of communication and willingness to resolve guest comfortably issues

Clean, quiet and convenient location Spacious rooms with mini fridge and microwave Extended continental breakfast hours on weekends

Early check-in option with 11a check out Sofa and desk located in rooms There were cracks in the ceiling in bathroom but nothing more problematic in room There are Dove products for body and hair which was extremely delightful! Housekeeping has a presence and politely knocked on the door as a reminder that check out was in 10 minutes The breakfast was a bit interesting, surprised no potatoes There is a pancake makersorry no waffles! Cinnamon rolls were dry Eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits were hot food items There is also a pool area! Plenty of uncovered parking out front This hotel is very clean all over I highly recommend if you are in the area for business or personal travel

I would love to give this hotel an excellent review because it appeared as if the customer service was superb and the rooms were clean and smelled good I had to put a $50 deposit when I was using my debit card This was fine even though I spoke to them on the phone and they didn’t tell me anything about a deposit when using a credit card or when using cash

I was supposed to use cash to pay for the room but there was $150 deposit when using cash This is not noted on a sign anywhere and was not told to me when I made the reservation and specifically ask what is the total cost to reserve the room I paid for two days but I actually checked out early on the second day before The cleaning staff even got to my room I did not expect to get a refund for that day But I had a feeling that because the room was paid for for the entire day and the cleaning staff hadn’t even made it to my room that they were going to either use my room for their own personal use or try to sell the room to someone else I had no issue with that but my suspicions was something funny was going to happen This was May 1 that I checked out and now it is May 12 and I still have not received my $50 deposit They are holding my money hostage I have called them and they claim that they have sent it back and I have also called my bank and they say that Holiday Inn express is holding my $50 deposit still I would never use my card at this hotel again let alone even do business with them I left the room spotless and I know I did not make any damages so there was no need for them to hold my $50 deposit A matter of fact they assured me that everything was fine and they had released my $50 deposit I am highly upset because I needed that money because it wasn’t in my budget to give that to them in the first place There is some shady stuff going on there and I do feel like it was racially motivated

Stayed here 3 nights for business It is decent hotel overall besides the really hard and uncomfortable bed, but the horrible service ruined it for me I called multiple weeks ahead and asked for late checkout for my final day since I had work to do, which they agreed and told me the latest was 3pm

Great So I planned to work and leave by 3pm The night before checkout, I even called the front desk to confirm I had late checkout They told me yes, they see it on my reservation, no problem However at 11:15 the morning of checkout, I get a call in my room by Evelyn at the front desk saying I need to check out I told her I had arranged late checkout and she told me, no you did not, we don’t do that, you need to leave because we have a large party coming and we need to clean your room I told her, it was arranged ahead of time for my reservation and I even confirmed last night She replied, oh that person is new they don’t know what they’re doing Wow I told her, well I’m in the middle of work I can’t stop and I need until 3pm as I had planned to After going back and forth she agreed to 2pm, even though I needed 3pm as planned I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none Only when I asked her name did she say okay, you can stay until 3 This after arguing with me and being extremely rude and unprofessional In all my years of staying at hotels, I’ve never ever experienced being treated like that This same person, Evelyn, was even rude at check in She wasn’t even at the front desk when I arrived and the door was locked so I couldn’t even get in the hotel I waited for a while before she finally let me in Once I did and got my room key, I asked for a cart to haul up all my stuff since I had a lot and was told they’re all occupied No concern whatsoever as I struggled to get all my stuff up People like Evelyn should not work in hospitality Oh and the kicker is when I checked out before 3pm, this large party they were kicking me out for was not even there So all that arguing and rude service… for nothing I was planning to come stay at this hotel regularly and now I’ll take my business elsewhere

The lobby/check in staff were fantastic! The room was clean (minus needing a little dusting), the breakfast was awesome & it was in a great location We did have a couple of critiques, but nothing that was a big deal We asked for the room farthest from the elevator & was given the room right by the elevator, we were charged for a pet fee, despite not having a pet & leaving the room very clean (but they graciously removed), not having a bathroom ventilation fan in the bathroom & low water pressure, but we were very pleased w/ our stay & would definitely go back!

Deanna Lewis

We stayed here for a stop at six flags America This was a perfect location due to the food and shopping nearby, The pool is nice (not too exciting but good for keeping kids entertained for a little)The breakfast here was excellent with good choices Check in and out was also easy

Do ask for a room away from the elevators as they do make noise when they arrive on the same floor, if that is something that will bother you

Tim J

I didn’t stay here, my family did They told me that the room was very comfortable and spacious They enjoyed the breakfast and even though the lobby was full, there was still ample room to move around

The liked the fact that the location is off the mall but yet is on it so they really didn’t have to deal with mall too much mall traffic interrupting them They would stay at this property again

I booked through Bookingcom I arrived to check-in around 11pm on a Saturday night, we were greeted by a young lady

She was very friendly and informative Everything was nice & clean & it smelled great However, we noticed what appeared to be poop on the side of our toilet I let the front desk agent know and notice she was struggling to find another room for us since they were at full capacity for the night I told her I’d be fine if someone just cleaned the toilet She expressed that she’s supposed to move me but she just doesn’t have another room and came into the room and deep cleaned the bathroom all over again herself For our inconvenience, they gave us extra reward points and free breakfast Aside from the poop, I was certainly pleased with my stay & the way the front desk handled the situationThe king bed was super comfy and so was the room HVAC worked like the one in my home and wasn’t super loud like most hotelsOur free breakfast was amazing & the morning staff gave us no trouble with providing it The cafe area staff were very friendly and profession yet personable Even though they were busy Sunday morning, they held it down

We stayed here for a few nights in late winter All and all it was a good experience The rooms were clean and the grounds were in order, there were no major complaints

I did have a few small complaints 1) There was trash in the vending machine alcove It sat there for 2 days until we said something because of the smell 2) The bar leaves a bit to be desired Nothing hot is served after breakfast, anything that could be considered related to Starbucks is breakfast only It was 20deg outside when we stayed so something warm to drink would have been really nice 3) the delivery trucks do not go to the delivery doors Instead they pull up right in front of the hotel and block the entry way Speaking with the clerk this was a common occurrence 4) This is more of an honorable mention but the rooms do not have a microwave If you need to heat food you have to go to the lobbyAll things considered I would stay here again if I was in the area

Blackfoot Abo

I stayed here for about 2 weeks The place is tucked away in plain sight! The rooms are really nice, clean, and very modern design The staff is very helpful

I like the fact that they have security that patrol the parking lot at night to minimize car thefts etc The lobby is really big, with the bistro/bar, with ample seating, also a tv/lounge area, computer space all in one big area but they all set themselves apart from the other areas The indoor pool is a win and the gym So you can’t beat this place if your looking for a place to stay

The staff is really, really nice!! Easy to get to by public transit— you can call their shuttle to get you from the metro, but it only runs on weekends right now bc of the pandemic It’s about a mile walk in an easy flat area if you don’t have too much luggage or it’s a nice day Beds are super comfy and the showers are great

The toiletries provided are lightly scented and smell great! The rooms are kind of dark at night which I don’t really like, but they are otherwise great Nice and clean The light switches are all electronic buttons which might take you a few minutes to work out but once you get the hang of it it’s kinda nifty The pool and gym are solid and the conference amenities are very attractive as well I haven’t been to the spa myself but a friend got her nails done there and had a great experience The bar is wonderful, though the beer selection is pretty smallThey make a great bloody mary!

Jenny Terry

I loved my stay here! Beautiful hotel with an amazing view Conveniently located just steps from the University of Maryland The staff was nice, the room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable

If you are planning a trip to DC this is a great option just outside the district but is located near the metro line I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again

Janna Chan

I have stayed at the University of Maryland Hotel several times over the past few yearsThe rates are good and the service is excellent The staff is very friendly

I wish that some of the rooms had bath tubs instead of just showers but that’s a minor issueThe two restaurants right next to the premises, a pizza place and a bagel place, are excellent and reasonably pricedObviously this location makes sense if you’re doing something at the University of Maryland However, it’s a very clean and professional outfit for anyone staying in the DC area in general

Good experience and a good price Satisfied customer I stayed here one weeknight in January 2022

Online I got a AAA rate of $80 for the room ($90 total), which is a great price, and the room was good The lobby is very attractive I did not see the pool during my stay My room had mini fridge and in-room coffee, but no microwave TV and bathroom were good so I have no complaints about the room The only drawback is the lack of free breakfast I had forgotten that one of the main concepts of Courtyard hotels is that breakfast is not included There is a full-service breakfast and lunch restaurant located in a high-rise building across the street, and it’s quite decent and without super high prices Overall I was pleased with my choice for this one-night stay near Washington DC

Kelly Rittenberry

We asked if there is a cot available because my teenage son is now over 6 foot I guess we’re getting to the point where our kids want their own beds They did not have a cot available but Brianna at the front desk suggested an upgrade to a 2 room suite at no cost

The suite was awesome both rooms were very clean In my job, we talk about the delighting customers She certainly did that Thank you to Brianna and the other gentleman at the desk Everyone was kind and quick to help This was our first stop on our road trip and it’s off to a good start Thank you!

I recommend finding a hotel Staff was friendly, and the pictures are nice, but they do not accurately represent the current condition of the hotelMy husband and I travel a lot, and this is probably one of our least liked locations

1 When we arrived, we paid for and reserved a king size bed and was also hoping to be placed in one of the rooms that was renovated We were placed in a pretty creepy room with two full size beds that were not big enough for us Room was reserved in advance and should have been held, especially being a rewards member Additionally, as reward member one of the perks is being eligible for an upgrade but that was not offered to us either2 We had to be moved to another room which was a big inconvenience of having to pack things back up to change rooms3 We waited over 14 hours waiting on towels after requesting 3-4 times4 The coffee isn’t courtesy, which is fine Okay, I paid for coffee each day But what I wasn’t happy with is the fact that one day in particular I asked for a refill and was quickly shut down (after paying) Cool, I understand that is policy But get this my husband later wakes up and comes down and was offered (and given) a free cup of coffee (which he gave to me) Although, I received the benefit it was still disappointing to see that type of service take place after I paid and was turned down when asking for a refill That truly did not make sense to meAnyhow, many contributing factors as to why we would not stay here again when visiting family Choose wisely

Very nice establishment! Customer service is spot on Everyone was friendly The staff & management was very accommodating to my disabled son who relocated back to the area to take care of his health and this made him feel so welcomed that it encouraged him to want to be more social and do physical activities that he hadn’t done since he came out of rehab over a year ago

The beds are comfortable, the room was spacious Although we weren’t fortunate enough to get one of the handicap accessible rooms, it still allowed plenty of room for a wheelchair to be wheeled around in and in and out of the doors that were wide enough

Monique James

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend Not clean at all The only thing we enjoyed was the pool

Our first room had hair in the linen I was told housekeeping was gone for the evening So they switched our room The manager Dexter gave us 5,000 points and a Marriott membershipAfter taking down all the party decorations and packing we moved into our new room Just to encounter the same problem and worse Not only was there hair in the bed But the sink was clogged The pull out couch where I had planned on sleeping was severely stained The carpet had white spots as wellI made the front desk aware and even emailed pictures and videos Yes I booked through a third party Everyone made it clear by reminding me repeatedly However, that’s no excuse to treat a expecting mom with three other little children present I did not sleep well With four people cramped up in a king size bed Completely unacceptable!

V Hillwill

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay The hotel was very clean and looked new We were greeted by Aesha

Her customer service was exceptional She was very friendly and honored our early check in request Our room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated Parking is convenient We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future

This is a hotel that lives up to the Marriott good name It wasn’t brand new but it was very clean The breakfast was acceptable, and it’s nice to see hotels serving breakfasts again after a long hiatus due to the pandemic

The front desk was friendly The fitness room was clean and had some very nice drinking water Overall I would recommend this hotel

Casie Sulzle [Carlson]

There were always staff cleaning, and it felt like the whole hotel was clean Our floor even got shampooed during our stay, it was comforting that they cleaned oftenThe rooms were definitely outdated

The carpet under our chair was ripped up, the walls needed new paint, and our tub drained very slowly But, it seemed very clean and the bed was comfy!Breakfast was great! Shout-out to the chef because she came and greeted guests and kept everything stockedPool was a huge plus, as were the kind staff who recognized us in the lobby

Naomi Reinbold

I don’t feel like the pictures represented the hotel to date For the price it isn’t horrible but the best part of the room was the bathroom Our air-conditioner sounded like it was going to break off the wall, our TV was broken, when we let them know about it they sent new batteries for the remote, they never even came to the room to check it out

The pool was empty and being fixed We weren’t going swimming anyways but for people who have kids this may have ended badly I was just disappointed in the overall experience Hotels cost money and to have it be an experience where I was ready to leave at 1:30 am and continue my drive home it warranted a detailed review I will definitely not stay here again

I’m not sure about pets, but they are NOT kid friendly We heard babies crying at 6am and we never said a word, naturally because it is a hotel and people come with their families However, we received 2 complaints in the middle of the afternoon (12:30 and 3:45) when our 3 and 4 year old were laughing and playing in the comfort of the room that we paid for

Not in the hallway, not in the lobby, but in our room We received a call with someone on the other end saying, “can you keep your kids quiet?” When we expressed concerns about this and how the stay was uncomfortable for us, we were told that there are pilots trying to get some sleep When I checked out and again expressed my concern to one of the representatives behind the desk, another woman (not a manager) stood beside her and tried to justify the calls by stating, “we have other paying customers too” I quickly dismissed her and pointed out that it was one of me and two of them and I will finish my discussion with the person that I started my conversation with (which happened to be understanding regarding my complaint) I asked for the manager, who was unavailable on a Monday afternoon, and I left a voicemail with no call back or resolve We also had a teenager who asked to use the pool but was told that it was closed, only to see that it was open for other guests Pick another hotel if you have a family, especially if you have small children The patience and service is less than desirable, to say the leastUpdate…the manager called me back He was apologetic and very professional We received a discount for our trouble and appreciate the response and resolve

Beautiful hotel Great location for my work trip As others have mentioned, walls and doors do not filter sound at all

Normal conversations are heard 3 rooms away Next door room sounds like they are leaning against the wall while talking on the phone This is just normal conversations!!!!! Every door closer is not set properly, so every door slams closed… you can barely prevent it if you are trying to be considerate I’m a big strong guy and those closers would be horrible for a child, handicapable person… Won’t be back

Ellah

Customer service was questionable at first Upon checking in, I stood and waited for the front desk person to acknowledge me for what felt like 5 minutes while talking to a a co-workerBesides that, my hotel experience was pretty good

It was a quick one night stay for work The room was clean and so was the bathroom The decor is fun and modern and location was perfect for what I needed!Disclaimer: if you’re looking for a relaxing hotel for a getaway or staycation if sorts, I would not recommend as it was pretty loud and had tons of kids and families Which isn’t a bad thing of course, but if you want quiet, I would look elsewhere I agree with the other reviewers stating that the walls are pretty thinAll in all, I would visit again

We had a great experience from the front desk with Steve checking us in being very helpful and courteous Our room was very clean and beautiful and the mattress hugs you while you’re sleeping lol It was very hard to get out of bed so comfortable

The level of customer service for such a beautiful hotel was terrible to say the least My family and I drove 3 hours to help my sister who recently had a baby and was overwhelmed They paid for a room for us to stay in not far from their house

Upon arrival/registration process, I was told the room was not paid for and I would need to pay about $461 for the 2 nights After getting the paperwork I noticed a different card from mines showing and questioned it With an annoyed tone the rep said it was only to hold the room, which still needs to be paid for so sign here I completed the check in process as I was already exhausted and just ready to get some sleep My mom and children went up to the room while I looked for a parking spot After getting upstairs, I noticed the door would not lock at the bottom, but decided to ignore it and use the top latch I noticed my mom who is anemic,, sitting with her head wrapped up and shivering I asked what was wrong with the heat she said it wasn’t coming on but maybe she didn’t know what she was doing After trying it myself, I noticed the thermostat was not working at all, it was an old time wall thermostat with the switch on the bottom and temperature buttons to adjust No lights were displayed to indicate it was working so I called down to service desk to get it fixed or moved to another room By this time it’s a out 11:30 and had worked since 6am The woman answered the phone and after I explained what was going on replied, there are no utility workers on shift, the hotel is completely booked and the only option is to get some blankets to us I said fine reluctantly and waited for the blankets The security guard brought 2 blankets for us a few minutes later and said normally you just have to turn up the heat to warm it up He checked it out and said wow you’re right, nothing IS happening Maybe then can put you downstairs This time my mom called the front desk and was met with an unfriendly even more annoyed tone After another explanation of the heat situation, my mom asked to speak with a manager; she was told, “There is no manager, we are fully booked and I’m busy right now” My mother said there is no way I’m paying all this money to stay at a hotel with no heat, if you can’t help me then we’ll take our money elsewhere She then said you’re welcome to leave which we did After speaking to my sister, she was furious because the Crown Plaza had an affiliate hotel right across the street The agent could have tried just a tad bit more to act like she cared about her guests Customer Service is the face of a business and that experience could have been managed so differently If I could give 0 stars I would

It’s a decent and affordable hotel, not the caliber that would be my first preference however Rooms were clean, staff was professional Ashanti was exceptional! Our couches had stains, no big deal

They accommodated us when our AC unit was broken Continental breakfast, beautiful lobby Why three stars? Called our last night to simply request if it was possible for a late checkout Carl, the night attendant responds, “No” and after a brief silence says “no, no, no we are already booked, no” as though I was being scolded and he was aggravated about receiving the same request from other guests Poor customer service and soft skills When I was asked to sign a contract at check-in promising no parties and loud music and given a parking permit stating take all valuables out the car, that told me all I needed to know about the environment, the people that stay there and what staff has to deal with Nevertheless, that doesn’t exonerate staff from treating guests like second class nuances Do better Carl

Long but thorough!…Staff: EXCELLENT WonderfulCustomer Service Honestly best staff experience I’ve ever had…and I’ve stayed at lots of hotels, some very high end

They go above and beyond, even for my kids! So friendly!Breakfast: FABULOUS spread Had sausage, was only lacking bacon 😂 tons of choices and on the go options too Not skimping with generics, either EGGS MADE WITH CHEESE…Need I say more?!Room: No complaints about cleanliness; AC DEF WORKS! 😉 Housekeeping is nice, helpful and efficient when needed Comfy bed and pillows! And of course, the suite factor with a sectioned off living space + kitchenette is clutchPool & hot tub: Fine, does the trick Could use more seating and keeping up with stock of available “pooltowels” on a shelving unit, but that’s ok Can get loud, but that’s to be expected if an indoor poolFree (soft) chocolate chip cookies at the front desk, GOOD COFFEE always hot and available, easy parking… what else can I say?PS “The Green Turtle Bar & Grill” is an easy, short walk and fantastic food! Menu and food quality much better than any typical sports bar!

So my family and I needed a 2 night stay the price was more than I’d like but it was a weekend so 340 is about average The room was accommodating but there were plenty of noticeable stains on the mattresses and sheets

There is a complimentary breakfast but the Waffles were all burnt and stuck together in the plastic The milk was going bad because it was being held at a warmer temp than it should’ve been There was visible mold in the bathroom and due to lack of staff, we couldn’t get an extra blanket or pillow until the morning Our room had a pullout sofa with no dressings Not the worst hotel experience but Def could use some improvements The staff that was there was pleasant at check in and during the interim The manager did make a point to come up to check the toilet which wasn’t flushing so that was a plus I’d come back for the sake of convenience

I had a great experience at this hotel The room was exceptionally clean as was the rest of the hotel Even with 2 weddings and staying on a designated pet-friendly floor, we did not hear anything from our room and had a most comfortable stay

The staff was friendly and more than willing to do a little housekeeping upon request during our stay! We will 100% consider staying again in the future Thank you to the staff at The Hotel for a wonderful and welcoming stay Hands down one of the top hotels in the area for the price

I am at this hotel a few times a year for business meetings Absolutely beautiful, staff are always pleasant Usually I stay with my sister or son when I come back to Maryland however I have this on my list of places to stay

Really nice place and the woman at the front desk was very nice and lovely With that said, I am only giving 4 stars because it is 4 days after our stay and my $50 room security deposit has still not been refunded Will change review once I receive that money back

***edit: after one week I received it back so am changing to 5 stars

My wife and I was visiting family in friends, less than 5 miles away, on 5/28/22 Location was perfect We were greeted as soon as we walk towards the front desk,by a gentleman

I think his last name was Smith He had a awesome personality, very professional & knowledgeable of the hotel and surrounding areaThe room was very clean, comfortable and spacious The king size Mattress was awesome Oh, what a goodnight rest we had, did wonders for the back We only stay one night, but we enjoyed the breakfast, weight room and the peaceful atmosphere Yes, The COOKIES was hot and delicious The only thing was missing in the room(425) was a refrigerator, but other than that All was well

Dan R

Very clean, safe, and friendly place to stay Rooms were quite and beds were comfortable allowed for easy rest every night Finally, I wanted to mention Paul, who is a hotel employee (maintenance crew i think) that went out of his way to assist me during my visit

I appreciate Paul and the hotel staff for making my stay a great one, thanks again!

We stayed here for two weeks while our home was being remodeled The location was perfect for us We booked two rooms as my husband and I both work remotely and had our double monitors set up in each room

The desk/chair was comfortable for working 10+ hrs/day The internet was fast and reliableThere is no kitchen but there are plenty of eating options just steps from the hotel There is a microwave and a small fridge The free coffee in the lobby was pretty good too!Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool as a treat and we made use of the fitness centerThe breakfast is cooked to order and served I would have rather full self service because it took a long time in the mornings, but it was good The food was fresh, especially the fruitsEveryone was friendly and the accommodations were comfortable overall It is not easy to live/work out of a hotel with small kids, we made the best of it and this turned out to be a great option

Shujie Dong

The hotel looks great from outside, bedroom clean and big Unfortunately, The bathroom smell of Urine When speaking to the staff who insisted that all rooms cleaned very well and she didn’t smell it and she stated she had a good nose

The front desk staff is professional but I cannot feel her warmthOther than that the hotel cafe’ staff is very friendly, look forward to switching to a different room this afternoon

VagabondMike

This hotel looks clean and modern, but that’s where the comfort ends Every expense was spared in the comfort of this hotelI’m sure they could have found a firmer substance for the bed

Maybe concrete, but even that may have been an improvement, at least springs wouldn’t have been stabbing at me all nightThe pillows are feather, but broken down horribly I would like to think it’s from washing them so often, but they weigh a ton for a feather pillow, which means they’re probably full of dust mites from years of useIt was clean, but I probably would have gotten a better nights sleep in the truck Spend your money somewhere else

Overall my stay was enjoyable The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95 Ext

on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free That was a plus! Although I didn’t get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One The staff were all very friendly My room was clean as well I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area

Kala Twigg

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could But this hotel is disgusting Not clean

Whole first tower smells like water damage My lungs & throat have been killing me Was contemplating staying extra days Definitely not now Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals Children were complaining of that And water damage The elevators smell like urination And there is dust & dirt in every crevice Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for I will be beyond grateful to be HOME (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past The carpets reek of water/mildew Convenient to the highway But … save your money people Drive elsewhere

Dan Royea

I really enjoyed my stay here Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator

I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out) And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned Nice indoor pool Also has a nice restaurant/bar Outside was just as clean as the inside was It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport I highly recommend staying here if your in the area

Great place and reasonable price Decided to use our points, if you stay for 4 days, the fifth day is free We had a studio with a queen bed

Good room size with a comfortable lounge chair, table for reading, computers or office works if you are virtually working/ studying It has a kitchen and nice size bathroom and closets Room clean, well maintained and organized Another great thing is they offer free breakfast The foods are packed in its original container so you can be assured it’s safe

Ms. J.

Every staff member I encountered during my stay was pleasant & professional I stayed for a month due to being flooded out of my home There is a Security Guard on the premises overnight

There was moderate noise at times from families with children staying on the 1st floorThe continental breakfast reflects the impact of the pandemic with “pre-packaged to-go” items & belgian waffles are added on the weekend Be prepared to take breakfast back to your room due to very limited seatingThe waffles & spinach & cheese omelettes were delicious!!The only issue I noticed was this location promotes deep sanitizing but it wasn’t evident in the room(s) I stayed in So glad that I brought my own cleaning products It wasn’t horrible so I didn’t bring it to management’s attention & just chose to sanitize things myselfOverall, my needs were minimal & the few requests that I made were quickly fulfilled I was just glad to have safe shelter from being displaced I would be a return customer if needed Forgot to take photos

It was an awesome time that we had at the Homewood Suites as we celebrated a family gathering and the atmosphere was conducive for this event The front desk staff was attentive and even funny as they made it a greater experience The quality of the upkeep was well worth the time of enjoying this space

So if you are in the DC area and you don’t mind maneuvering all of the 95s in the vicinity then give this location of Homewood Suites a stay!

I called the front desk early, themorning after my stay, to extend myroom for one more night and the front desk confirmed When I returned to my room that evening and used my key to enter my room, all my belongings were gone Front desk said they had given my room to another guest

The manager would not respond byphone or text to the front desk person in charge at that time After competing in a sporting event any being too tired to drive home, I was lefttrying to find another hotel for the night

Mr.&Mrs. Keesee

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in When I checked in the room was not ready and it took 2 additional hours to get into the room while awaiting it to be cleaned 3 hours after my check in When we finally got into the room there were no wash clothes and was told there were none available

There was dried pee on the toilet seat The staff were rude and unprofessional The mattress cover was being used as the comforter I’m assuming because they didn’t have those either There were no options for people who do not eat pork for breakfast They ran out of syrup for the waffles 2 hours before breakfast was finished
