We loved this hotel! The staff was very welcoming and friendly The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable! We didn’t hear any noise from outside or in the hallway, so it was very peaceful Parking in their garage was $24, but it was well worth it for us in order to have peace of mind that our car would be safe

They took that $24 off of the $50 security deposit, which made things much easier We were refunded the rest of that security deposit within 24 hours of checkout They also have a gift shop in the lobby that stays open pretty late (10:30/11pm depending on the night) with food and other important things that you may have forgotten! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel was clean and the staff/service was excellent Our entire stay was pleasant because the staff at this Hilton was so kind and accommodating They anticipated our needs and made us feel at home

We never had to ask for anything because they were already there to help us The hotel itself is close to restaurants and the nearby mall Self-parking is easy but the valet staff is kind and courteous as well The breakfast buffet our group was offered was consistently fresh and well stocked; unlike your typical continental stale pastries other hotels pass off as a “buffet” If you stay there, know you can count on Javier for anything you might need He’s a very kind, polite person who takes great pride in his work He was the Hilton employee who really made our stay enjoyable and comfortable and not just “another room at any ordinary hotel” We would stay there again because of how welcome he made us feel

Eduardo Tello

It’s a Hilton, but a very old one Staff was great, default for HiltonRoom was old, no shower just a bathtub, and it was super dark

The windows are floor to ceiling and opens like a balcony door, but it has no balcony So be careful because someone can open it and fall from the building It was bizarre to see that But the views were amazingParking is also a bit expensive at $24, but California parking is crazy nowadaysI’d prefer to stay at the Woodland Hills location next times – which is renovated

Very overpriced low-end dive Demanded and extra $10000 for us to pay with a debit card

They claimed they would mail the $10000 back some time in the future The continental breakfast was a joke A guy in a room behind a window, you have to ask, “do you have any sweetrolls?” He brings one Then you have to ask for coffee Then you have to ask for cream or sugar What a joke!!!!!

Fil M

Tl;dr: the charm is a facade, the area is next to a loud, busy street, and the bed is ancientThe “charm” stops in the lobby where you book a room I called ahead to ask for vacancies and gave me a quote

Once I head in, the woman who gave me the quote pretends she didn’t talk to me over the phone and gives me a more expensive quote My boyfriend steps in to ask her to honor the original quote and she plays dumb gives us a “discount” We end up regretting staying here bc this place is just a bunch of dusty junk in the rooms and and old beds with no consideration for comfort Continental breakfast was mentioned until 10am, but by 9:30am, it was all being packed up Never returning

The hotel is clearly under new management/ownership which affected our stay along with the remodeling The staff is very green and unknowledgeable The phones don’t work

The rooms are smaller than other hotels in the area I’d recommend looking elsewhere for the price point Perhaps with time, they’ll tighten up their services, amenities, and staff training but I would not consider staying here again

Anthony Sotelo

This hotel is terrible While it has potential, it should not be open during remodeling The bar was not open, the halls smell like mildew and the overall amenities are not comparable to other hotels with similar price points

When booking it doesn’t mention that only 2 floors were available and that the rooms are very tiny We called and left a message to the manager and received no call back No room service unless you ask I highly recommend you stay elsewhere

Neilou Heidari

I reserved a room block at Hotel Constance for myself and guests for my wedding weekend The hotel rep reassured us that the hotel would reopen before our wedding day, however, a month before our event, told us that they would not reopen in time This left us scrambling to find a new hotel

Not only that, Hotel Constance charged us a deposit but failed to return it back to us – nobody is answering phones or emails I am calling on management/ ownership/whomever to return our deposit ASAP

A few weeks ago my sister and I came down to LA from SF to spend the last 10 days with a terminally ill loved one at the Sunset Kaiser I searched for a clean hotel closest to the hospital so my sister and I could freshen up and get some rest between the hospital visits I selected Cara Hotel where we stayed for 9 nights

First of all, I want to thank all the hotel and valet staff for their excellent services and hospitality Everyone truly made us feel comfortable as possible during this very difficult time In the early mornings, Adi warmly greeted and directed me to my car when I left the hotel to the hospital (valet staff starts working at 7 am) Also, when I had an issue with the safe box in the room, Adi and the other staff addressed the issue right away Late at night when I return back from the hospital, Alex welcomed me with the sweetest greets and even on the sold-out Saturday night, she managed right away to book us a canceled room for us She gave me so much bright and positive energy during our most difficult times And Alex, you’re such an angel 😇 Danner at the valet, even though one of your staff members mixed up my key card with another guest caused so much trouble for me but your service was excellent every night when I return back to the hotel after an emotionally long hard day Lastly, Marlon the general manager, I want to say thank you for the valet credits and for letting us stay day by day without knowing the checkout date I heard you made that happen You have an awesome, professional, and friendly staff that makes your guests happy and satisfiedAs for the review of the hotel itself here are my thoughts This hotel is a rectangular-shaped structure with 2 floors Most of the rooms have a balcony upstairs and a courtyard downstairs There’s water in the middle with restaurant tables along the side So any room you stay in you can see and hear people eating and drinkingPros:The hotel is beautiful and chic (good for social media)Very clean room with a comfortable bed, luxurious sheets, and blanketsGood quality amenitiesGreat location for everythingProfessional and friendly staffA beautiful restaurant and bar on siteCons:The hotel is not ideal for people seeking relaxation and quiet Day, night, weekdays, and weekends there’s a crowd hanging out at the restaurant and bar with loud music$38 a day valet parking onlyUnfortunately during my visit, I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant and bar due to the circumstances but I’m coming back in June with my husband to celebrate our 22nd anniversary I already made the reservation for the room and the restaurant This time, I want to fully enjoy the hotel Hopefully, the restaurant is good as the rest of the hotel I’ll post the follow-up restaurant and bar review after

First, it is really hard to find this place even with google map Sign is too small to identify Next, we spend such 30mins to park our car

There is no temporary parking for this hotel The only solution is $38 valet parking If you want to save this, you must find a road-side parking and please remember move your car at next day early morning to avoid ticket! Lack of Sound-proof equipment You can hear everything from outside of your room Meanwhile, people also can hear the sound we made from inside of the room Lastly, reception told us we got upgraded room when we checked in They told us we got balcony room instead of courtyard room But, we realized that still is a courtyard room when we enter the room It really make us confused By the way, the room is soooooooo small We barely can put our luggage down and open it That’s the first ever time happened when I was in US hotel! Japan’s hotel room even bigger than this MOTEL!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and I loved every minute of my stay here The rooms are stunning and very clean I actually went into 3 different rooms because I was there for a wedding and each room was immaculate

The staff was very nice and knowledgeableFor the stick drivers out there, the valets do know how to drive stickThe restaurant and bar is really really good and they offered to stay open late for our wedding party which was so kindOverall, this is a great hotel that I highly recommend

James McKenna

The service here is excellent James, the bartender, is the best for conversation The rooms are lovely

The food is outstanding The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing The pricing is incredible reasonable I’m struggling to find anything actually wrong with the hotel, with the exception of the music selection that simply doesn’t match the vibe of the establishment Overall, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and one I will be returning to in all of my future travels to Burbank

Amber Stamper

I booked this hotel through the Universal Studios website as part of a package We were celebrating our anniversary with our first post-pandemic trip and I booked this trip as a surprise for my significant other I called the hotel to confirm that the reservation was made and to request that a bottle of champagne be in the room when we arrived

I was told that my request would be forwarded to guest services A couple days later I received an email asking about the request for champagne and what my price range was I told them to keep it under $200 and to charge the price to the roomFast forward to the day of our trip, we arrived a couple hours before check in (1pm) and were told that our room was not ready yet, but they let us leave our luggage and valet the car The front desk staff and valet were lovely They made sure to offer us complimentary waters on arrival which was much appreciated with the extremely hot weather outsideWe didn’t come back to check in until after 6pm and I was surprised with how unclean the room was There was hair all over the shower wall and bed The toilet was dirty and there was some kind of residue in the sink I was extremely disappointed with the lack of cleanliness, especially since we were told we couldn’t check in early because the room wasn’t ready and even with an additional 3 hours after check in it still wasn’t “ready” To top it off, there was no champagne as requestedIt had been a long day and we still had dinner reservations to make so we didn’t waste time complaining to the staff, we just shrugged it offThe rest of the stay was pretty uneventful We did get drinks from the bar and the bartender was fantastic Super nice and great drink recommendationsOn the day we left I received an email from their customer service team (the same one that emailed about my price range for the champagne) asking me to call them I responded to them via email letting them know it wouldn’t be necessary, we had already checked out Too little, too lateOverall I would recommend this as a decent place to stay, but I wasn’t wowed It’s the little things that make a hotel amazing and unfortunately we just didn’t get those here

Had a wonderful stay here My room (executive king with daybed) was up to date, clean, and comfortable There was a great view, and a useful shade system to filter or block the sun

Room layout was spacious and convenient for work, and the bathroom had plenty of counter space There’s a lovely courtyard where you can sit outside with a fire pit at night There are also nice indoor common areas 10-15 min walk from great restaurants and Old Pasadena Will definitely stay again

Kirk Robinson

Stayed for a weekend, it was a decent experienceHad a couple rooms booked, so the connecting room was great Beds comfortable, mini fridge was useful for storing stuff

Rooftop pool was alright not very deep and felt surrounded by concrete so not really much ambiance That said, the kids had a great time cooling off and if you can snag one of the cabana style areas all the better Gym was pretty nice here too a couple Peloton bikes too 🚲I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here, but it was a decent stay

David Adams

We really enjoyed our stay However, there were a couple of issues The restroom has no exhaust fan, and the AC won’t cool below 76 degrees

Even when the thermostat is set lower it clicks off well above the set temperature The windows are also thin and you can hear people talking on the street even 8 floors upThat said, the staff was very friendly, the location beautiful, and the pool and gym were excellent

We were there for a wedding and it was 5 star stay Everyone went out of their way to see that we had anything we wanted The wedding location was beautiful It is historic and every detail is well appointed The reception was grand Great dinner, the desert table was second to none and the band was perfect They knew how to play while we ate then had the perfect song list for dancing NO rolling on the river or we are family cheesy tunes Sign of a great band Afterwards we had a beautiful spot to catch up before going to our room and sending up for a late night bite with room service Our room was classically beautiful a tad small but it is a really old hotel We’ll be back!

Stylish and refined in its lusciouness… well kept, well manicured with charming gardens, excellent service and services Spa was fab!And get this, the power went out in the area in the middle of my massage and they calmly and sweetly brought in candles to finish and comped me the massage And had backup power so we still had basics

We had a good stay here The rooms were clean and aside from road noise the place was fairly quiet We arrived after midnight and the parking lot was full but the lady at the front desk (forgot her name) offered a reasonable solution to park somewhere where if needed I’d have to move my car which was no problem with me

Also the front desk lady was very friendly and welcoming The rooms were nice and included a fridge, microwave, hair dryer and coffee There was plenty of room for clothing storage There were plenty of outlets and charging ports which sometimes can be hard to find at older places but not here I’ll be looking forward to my next stay here when I’m in the area Thank you

krampus

Quite literally the rudest staff I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with Found myself in a situation where I needed lodging for the night This place had good reviews (which I’m convinced are shills) and decent rates- that’s all I needed for the time

Online we saw there were a few rooms available Decided to go take a look because we were only 15 minutes awayCalled the front desk from inside the hotel parking lot to book for the night, was told “do it online, we don’t do it over the phone or walk-ins”…okay why?Went online to book (still in the parking lot) and now it was listed as zero room availabilityCalled front desk again, asked why she didn’t express that they were booked before telling me to book onlineWas told this time that they were at full capacity WRONG Went to another booking site and found vacancy, which I immediately bookedWent inside to get the key and was told that my roommate couldn’t park in the lot, only one car allowed, despite the rooms all meant for 2 The place wasn’t even fullThe Hindu couple at the check in desk were straight up RUDE and aggressive Locked me out of the lobby, now I’m in the parking lot WITH a reservation and im locked out without a keySo business partner called the desk (still in the parking lot) Was given excuse after excuse, my favorite being that they had 10 other check ins for the night scheduled to arrive (mind you this was 11:00pm at this point)I explained that nowhere on the booking sites does it stipulate only one car is permitted, she pointed to a sign at the desk and says “it’s right here”…etf good is that? Y’all only take online reservations, it doesn’t take a genius to see the inherent flaw of that logicTold partner that there was no management to speak with (even tho the lady had told me that she was the mgr)Spent another hour trying to get a refund so I could get going and find a place to stay before midnight at leastThe attitude was mind boggling, I’m no Karen but wow! Never experienced such poor and downright rude customer service anywhere in my travelsAdditionally, the place looked like garbage, the lobby was nice but that’s clearly a facade Was willing to settle because it was late but after they pulled all the bs, I left and stayed at the Ramada- same rate, mucho better accommodationsI’m convinced the majority of these reviews are shills, there is NO WAY a legit business could have such positive reviews with Habeeb and Anita at the helm…like no chance If I was the owner, I would be furious to learn my guests were being treated in such a unprofessional mannerDon’t believe the reviews, this place is sketch Glad they didn’t get a single rupee from meAvoid like the plague

Small run down room A disclaimer, we booked through Hotels Tonight and this may be the reason we got the room we got I did peek in open doors and there are nice sized rooms with porches

The positive: friendly people good breakfast and not bad location However: No hot water, lukewarm showers and gave up on hot water from sink TV lost the cable signal The windows had tape on them staying “do not open” Cracks in bathroom walls and ceiling Tiny metal baker’s rack next to pedestal sink so no where to put toiletries The lotion and body wash appeared partially used No parking when we arrived back at 10 pm Traffic noise which may have have to do with room location on corner We were excited about coming to this place from the photos and reviews, so we were sad with our experience

Absolutely wonderful and charming Bed and Breakfast nestled a bit up the mountainside with great views of South Pasadena and well beyond

Incredibly excellent cooking for breakfast every morning — coffee is top notch and there’s tea too A 3-story “Craftsman” style house where every room is great Piano and bar in lobby area Walk up 1 or 2 floors at most Quiet

Very comfortable rooms with excellent service overall The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because when we checked in the room had not been cleaned properly There was spilled rice on the carpet and a light bulb missing in a lamp

This was promptly fixed but it makes one wonder about attention to detail as this is not a cheap hotel For the rest of our stay the housekeeping was excellent We found the valet service quite fast and enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast

If you are visiting the LA area and are looking for a safe and comfortable stay than this is a solid optionYou are going to get the amenities that you need (unless you need dry cleaning on Memorial Day weekend)The rooms were standard with a mostly clean facilities

The bed and pillows were not the most comfortableStaying here requires you to Valet park your car every time which can get annoying if you are in and out like we wereThe restaurant serves basics for high prices and it would be beneficial to go out for breakfast or dinnerAlthough they state the coffee cart is open at 6, we were unable to get coffee in the morning before heading to DisneylandMy suggestion would be stay here if you need a comfortable and affordable option

This Hilton might be the worst Hilton you can stay at The hotel is loud, dirty, and has homeless people hanging out inside The staff is some of the rudest people I have ever experienced at any hotel

The rooms are old, dirty, and small; you can hear everything outside your room all night The breakfast that was once free now is not, the valet is expensive, and it takes about 45min to get your car I’ve had better experiences at a Motel 6 Save your time and money and stay anyplace but here

Customer service and safety! I felt very safe in this hotel compared to other hotels in Pasadena Also, the room was clean and spacious, and the amenities were excellent The bigger reason for my rating is the customer service

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful The staff at Charlie’s Bar including Randy, Ashley, Rosie, Carlos, Adam, and Raul were very, very, very accommodating and friendly The registration desk employees were so nice! I felt comfortable and they were all so pleasant Thank you!

The beds are very comfortable It was so easy to get in and out of this hotel Its practically in the Pasadena Civic Center and right across the street from the Paseo Shoppes and restaurants on Colorado Blvd

I was also pleased with staff member Brady Brady was extremely accommodating and he goes the extra mile to ensure top professional service We enjoyed the pool area although there is no jacuzzi 🙁 The pool is slight heated and towels are provided We will definitely return later for another stay

Stayed in this hotel about two weeks ago and it was a great hotel Its proximity to the Convention Center made it an ideal option, and the quality of the room was solid As an ex-maintenance worker, the room checked out well

Only complaint would be a subpar exhaust fan in the bathroom Moving on to service, Ivan was wonderful He was extremely patient and helpful with my aging father in answering questions and accommodating our needs Would definitely come back to this hotel if I’m in the area needing a place to stay
