Traveling with my large family makes it hard to find rooms where we all have a bed We were so pleased to have a room with 3 double beds (actual beds not uncomfortable sofa beds) The staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect including sneaking my ball playing son into the back room to grab some breakfast one morning before an early game that meant breakfast wasn’t out yet

Hotel was clean and overall pretty quite and the area felt safe We appreciated the smiles and hospitality and would definitely stay here again

The Bleach God

The neighborhood is garbage, but the hotel is beautiful The people on staff are sweet and wholesome individuals that seem to care about their jobThe rooms are very nice with no major discrepancies, though there are a few minor cleaning errors and the like

Don’t mistake me Everything is generally sanitary It’s just that the rooms have a few small mistakes in cleaning Nothing harmfulThank you to whoever fluffed the pillows It was a good night’s sleep

Tari Deyoe

This was the most delightful hotel I’ve stayed in The only complaint was the snack & pop machines were out of order The front desk had snacks but they were unreasonably expensive

The beds were so comfortable The bathroom was very spacious and accessible The breakfast was nice I would recommend this hotel

I am sorry for this low rating I gave two stars for its clean decent bathroom It is just that the hotel is old and outdated and has some musty smell

The air-conditioner is on the wall and located very near to one of the queen beds When it is on, it is so loud I couldn’t sleep all nightThe breakfast we had was not impressive either The muffin was stale My kid said the scrambled eggs tasted funny Even the ice water has some rusty taste to it

This place is rundown and dingy It is an inexpensive place to stay, but it’s not worth the cost savings There are mold issues and a general lack of maintenance that make this place iffy at best

The breakfast is decent and the staff is nice, but the rooms are bad, at least mine wasFor example, the faucet leaks and the solution, put a rag in the sink Showed up to this in my sink to stop it making noise when it drips Unacceptable**update**Toilet stopped flushing my last morning here Shouldn’t be surprised by it at this point

Security is a problem!! One of our family’s vehicles was broken into (smashed window added $450 to the stay) along with 5 other vehicles According to the police it’s a common occurrence and could be avoided with a security guardFor the price of the room, I would stay somewhere else because they do not spend money on upgrading or fixing things in the building

There were many obvious repairs that were needed and neglected Our room with a king bed was very small We were grateful we didn’t experience bed bugs Do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews, unfortunately we didn’t see them until we were checked in and thought maybe people were exaggerating, they weren’t!

This place could have gotten another star perhaps, but for one service elementI was looking for a room while on the road, never a fun thing to do Unbeknownst to us it was Spring Break and ball tournament season, so rooms were hard to find

This La Quinta had a vacancyWe checked in, but we only needed a place to sleep for about four hours before leaving again They did not offer, more give us when we requested, a discounted rate for partial useThis has never happened before at any chain If I’m checking in at 2:30 am and leaving at 6:30, I’ve usually gotten a consideration and not been charged full priceBut I guess with all the guaranteed traffic for this season, they could charge the maximum amount, so they didThe amenities were fine and very comfortable Large suite with warm bedding and spacious seating area Definitely four stars for what they offered, but too profit minded to help customers get rest on an emergency tripI try not to be negative on my reviews, but other travelers need to be aware

I’m so happy! This is a great hotel!! Kirti at the front desk went above and beyond to help me and my family feel at home! I was nervous about this long trip and finding a nice hotel in a city I’ve never been to The floors were being mopped when we arrived and it smelled nice and clean, the room was big and also very clean Nice linens too! Totally worth it to pay a bit more than the other hotels in the area to get this high level of quality! I’ll stay here every time I’m passing through

Thank you so much! I wish every hotel I stayed in was like this!Ps Edited to say: breakfast was actually nice and our 2 dogs really enjoyed the walk, there’s a long grass section the entire length of the building in the back, and a little station with potty-baggies right as you walk out the back door Love it!

An older hotel with limited services The bar is closed Your not allowed to hang out in the lobby/bar area after 9p

m which is inconvenient to say the least when your traveling with a soccer team Some of the rooms had refrigerators but no microwaves Some rooms have microwaves but no refrigerators Some have neither Not sure if the rooms were actually cleaned since there was a used towel still hanging on the bathroom door! Yikes!!

King Of Spades

Very nice hotel and it was in the perfect location as well Close to restaurants and the highway Only thing we were a little disappointed with is the hotel bar and restaurant being shut down

We were sad to find that out on arrival that the bar was not opened That was one of the reasons we booked a room here Overall the hotel was very nice Great staff

I’ve stayed at the Memphis location when in the area for the 25 years I stayed here on 5/2/22, getting a reservation was once again a ridiculous hassle

Once there we got the room directly across from the staff supply room, in and out slamming the door a lot I had to use the pull out bed, terrible mattress and could feel the bar the whole time I was laying on it I called the front desk to get bedding for the pull out, “yeah come get it” was the reply I go get it from the front desk, when I start making my bed I notice the blanket is really thin I call the front desk again and ask for another blanket, again I get “yeah come get it” I go back to the desk, and then have to follow the employee back to the door across from my room and wait for them to get me another blanket! There was no conditioner in the shower, this isn’t the first stay that something soap wise has been non-existent When I first started coming to Memphis for doctor appointments, staying here was nice and I couldn’t say enough good things I don’t know what happened in the last year and a half but I will not be coming back Service, bed, supplies left much to be desired

Our AC went out and we were looking for an affordable place to take myself, my fiancé, his cousin, and our cat I called ten hotels and each one was full until I called Sonesta They said they had a room available, and when we drove there, Michael was a great help

He checked us in quickly and was very kind to us when he learned about our situation He ensured that we were in a very comfortable, air-conditioned suite The room was extremely comfortable, and at an affordable price, too Will definitely be staying here again!

Mitch Morgan

A few weeks ago, I booked a stay for 19 nights at this location on their corporate website Upon arrival, I was told my reservation did not exist even after showing a confirmation email What made the situation worse was the rudeness I encountered at the front desk

The lady had a horrible attitude, did not care about my situation, and basically told me to kick rocks After reading reviews, I should have avoided this location in the first place I emplore you to do the same as well

I’ll start by saying the front desk attendants were super friendly In all other aspects I don’t know how this hotel has such a high rating All of the fixtures looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in months

There was hair in the shower and sink when we arrived It just felt dirty Breakfast was a big disappointment There was some fruit, milk, juice, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, and toast, nothing filling I expected a lot more from the other reviews and the price

Caesar Alarcon

I checked in about 1:30 PM I never ask for a early check in The Hyatt I ask for a early check in Waco, Texas

They had no rooms available When we arrived in Memphis the hotel clerk wanted to charge me for a early check in I refusedI didn’t ask for this early check in Anyway your car is not safe in the parking lot The room was good The air conditioner work good The room has a sofa There also a refigerator in the room The shower was good

Tashala Williams

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nikita I requested a double if it was available and my request was honored Everyone was nice and prompt with any requests

We were there with a semi large group and a another large group was also there My only complaint was there was only one elevator in operation and the hotel was jammed pack Otherwise I will be staying again Sonya was also really sweet when checking out

They staff was very accommodating They were quick to assist with any request we had The check in and out process was seamless

I gave 4 stars because, I guess based on timing, the pool and laundry facilities were being renovated I had to go to a sister hotel for these amenities Other than that I plan to stay again if the pool and laundry renovations are complete

Sam Ferguson

Overall it was an okay experience It accomplished the goal of a bed to sleep while passing through townHowever, we had a difficult time getting into the building upon our late night arrival

Spent around 30 minutes trying to knock/call/get anyone to let us in We even went to the hotel behind them to ask them if they could help She offered to call them for us but also didn’t get an answer I think we caught them on a bad night with high prices and poor service I would only stay if the rate matched the quality and unfortunately we paid close to the max rateFyi – Room 322 might be missing a carbon monoxide and smoke detector too

Bob Sorey

Room 217 Less than basic – Tv didn’t work Only one towel and nothing else in entire room Really basic for $168 – i can handle a hotel that needs a renovation but this one – 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️🤮 Should have expected something when an email arrived and said if you arrive after 7 doors locked and your reservation subject to cancellation – call this number 🤷🏼‍♂️🎤🥃

We have been loyal Hilton Honors members for years, so we almost always choose a Hilton property when traveling I was hoping to find a place we can stay again and again for the next few years while our daughter is in college in Memphis, but this will not be the one To be fair, I will list the positives first

The front desk staff were friendly and professional, the property was in a safe location, and the hotel was mostly cleanNow the negatives: the key card system was down for our entire stay, and according to staff had been down for a couple days when we got there Every time you needed to enter your room, you had to wait in line for someone to walk you to your room and let you in All exterior doors were unlocked because there was no other way for guests to enter the hotel This is clearly not a safe practice, and there seemed to be no urgency in getting the problem taken care of As I stated before, all staff were courteous and friendly I believe this property must be poorly managedYesterday we were also informed by the restaurant employee who escorted us to our room that the entire system was down hotel-wide and they were unable to ring up anything food or drinkThere is no housekeeping service at this hotel unless requested, which was fine, but sort of strange When we wanted to use the ice bucket in our room, we discovered that it had about three inches of water in it from the previous guest, which made me wonder how clean the rest of the room actually wasOverall, this was a disappointing stay If there is a problem so severe that no one in the hotel can have a key card, the hotel management should be finding other accommodations for all the guests, or at the very least, offering free breakfast and drinks or even bottles of water No apology or attempt to make things right AT ALLLastly, the walls in this hotel were thin On night one, we could hear our neighbors to the left talking until very late that night On night two, our neighbor to the right went out and left a barking dog, assumedly in a crate We had to call the front desk because it went on and on and on This is a hotel that is not supposed to allow petsI wish I could say we’ll be saying here again, but I can’t see that happening since management seemed to be completely absent in this hotel

STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!My company brought me here to work in one of their local offices for two weeks On Saturday night I decided to go home for one night since the drive was less than 3 hours away When I came back Sunday night, my room looked like it had been vandalized! There was no bedding on the bed, the bathroom rubber to the slider was torn off and the blinds were jacked up

The pillows were on the floor and all the belongings I had left overnight were gone! Since it was after 11pm there was no manager or housekeepers on staff The front desk girl had to go find me some sheets for my King size bed! The following morning I spoke with the Hotel Manager Ellen She brushed off the incident and told me to send her an email! I sent her an email no response Went to front desk again the following day and said I am waiting to see how they will compensate me for my missing items Ellen sends me an email later in the evening telling me housekeeping did not find any missing items that I “alleged” were stolen! I was appalled by her lackluster response and lack of apology and for not taking any responsibility for her staff! The fact that my company paid well over $2k for me to stay here and be treated in this manner is terrible I won’t even let housekeeping in my room now at all and have been requesting my towels at the front desk, which also takes forever to get! My co-worker had to switch rooms the first week we got here and in doing so, had his expensive sneakers and some shirts stolen! Although the hotel is nice, the way this place is run; dirty gym with no disinfecting wipes, equipment that doesn’t get wiped down and management that doesn’t care about their guests and overlook thieving employees is appalling!

Tony Brott

Overall, I felt my stay was satisfactory But there were some things I felt made the whole experience less than exemplary For a hotel that charges at a premium rate, I didn’t feel like it was a premium experience

Things like not having regular housekeeping service unless requested, rooms that were pleasant but not above average, no complimentary breakfast That kept it from being top-notch Now, I will say that the staff was pleasant and helpful and did a great job They were top-notch But the overall experience was just OK

Location was perfect Close to the highway and lots of restaurant options for dinner Room was clean and the space was good for a one night stay as we drive across the country

I found the service to be frustrating For a hotel that says it’s pet friendly I found they were barely pet tolerant We got in late and needed to feed our kids so we dropped the pets and then went to dinner We weren’t gone for more then 10 minutes and I received a phone call telling me my dog was barking I told the lady we had just left and sat down to have dinner, there was no offer to call us back if she continued to bark, no offer to let us know if she was being super loud, no consideration for the fact that she had just been left in the room and might need a few minutes to get used to the new environment I don’t find that very pet friendlyIn addition to having to pay an extra fee to be able to stream entertainment on the “free WiFi”, made for a stressful evening after a long day of driving instead of a restful night

Wenda O’Neill

Rooms were nice, they seemed clean even though we found a broken toothpick on the bed (Weird right?) the handicap accessible room did not have a walk in shower, it has a tub with a rail The hallway smelled like someone was smoking in their room even though it was a smoke free

Having said that our rooms smelled great Conveniently located near lots of shops and pet friendly(but there is a fee)

Sophia Holloway

After searching for the best rated hotel in this area, I decided to Stay here for the first time The rooms are not as clean as I expected it to be The rooms need a bit of an upgrade

I’ve been here 2 nights so far While watching TV, a roach was climbing up the wall I took a picture for proof I called the front desk I was offered a room switch but what’s the point when roaches are climbing up the wallsI’m extremely disappointed This is unacceptable 😤

I am giving this hotel only one star due to several reasons First and foremost was the fact that the fire alarm went off and the hotel staff, which appears to have been only one person, did not check that every guest was out of the hotel safely They should have a better system in place for notifying guests so that no one gets left behind if there is a real emergency

We were all lucky that it happened to be a false alarm I’m sure this happens a lot at hotels Someone burning popcorn or smoking in the room Needless to say that this alarm was caused by the people in the room next to mine who were up all night partying and smoking So apparently since no one reported the noise of the party it is the other guests fault that the alarm went off It’s our fault the alarm went off, that does not make sense How are the other guests supposed to know what someone is doing in their room It’s like saying the hotel staff should have known so they shouldn’t be paid because they didn’t do their job I don’t expect the hotel to give anyone anything free But I do expect them to be a little more compassionate to their guests But I am under the impression that this particular hotel or the staff at the time did not care about anything They were just a robot making money When you have a grandchild that is unique it takes a lot of time to get them to sleep Things that are easy for everyone else to deal with, like noises and emotions, if very difficult for my grandchild After all is said and done all I asked for was a little compassion from the hotel and they could not assist So we had to leave at 3:00 am in the morning to find somewhere else to stay This is one hotel I will never visit againOther than this one experience with this hotel, the rooms were clean, the check in staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was a little cloudy Not as clear as it should be The part of the hotel I did see seemed clean

IPR

I read some of the previous reviews and I’m glad to say we did not have any issues during our stayJames at the front desk was very courteous and helpful checking us inWe did have to sign a waiver for ‘no parties’ and be responsible for $500 if we broke it which I completely agree with since hopefully it solves a lot of the previous issues

Room was exceptionally clean and stocked of all toiletriesThe bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very soft We slept like babiesBEWARE: It did smell like weed at some occasions It never really bothered us since it was confined to the elevator mostly

Darnell Hamilton

Im beyond upset with the way our family was treated at this hotel I am the chairperson for our family reunion and blocked many rooms here at home2suites We were all excited about staying here because it’s in a great location

The staff here waited until check in time to start calling several family members to inform us about our room We were told that they had construction going on in the hotel and that we had to get a king with a let out couch or cancel free of charge Remember we’re from out of state, many of our family members drove 11 hours just to get there You would think with a large group booking 10 plus room that we would have been better accommodated I explained to the guys at the front desk that we were quoted $129 for a king and $139 for a double They said because of our special rate that we couldn’t get it for $129 and that the rooms are much higher now This large group agreement was done back in March, the reunion was July 8-10 I really wish the hotel would called me before check in time, my family and I would have booked elsewhere The repair had been going on for some time long before that week

When we arrived we found that the outside security door was broken and did not close properly Having small children this was nearly a non-starter but being tired, decided to try anyways We then entered our room

Under the pullout bed was an empty bag of chips and it was very warm in the room After working with the front desk to resolve the issue we were asked to reset the AC (wall thermostat completely inoperable) unit to make the temperature drop That did not work and at that point we had enough and decided to leave Additionally, there were missing outlet covers in the hotel hallway, and the elelvator did not work stranding a person upstairs that needed it come to the lobby The only redeeming factor was the front desk staff member who seemed new but determined to keep things operating Unfortunately, it seems that most of the issues are beyond her control and management should be correcting the issues

Caleb Harris

Got a king room for my wedding night The room was on the first floor facing the back parking lot with SHEER curtains and no blinds I had to clip the decorative curtains closed and therefore turn off the heat so I didn’t start a fire

The shower was wheel chair accessible which was not needed for my wife and I but just the same the shower head was bolted to the wall on a slider It also flooded the floor and the towels were threadbare Overall not a fantastic experience

Carol Rowland

We’ve stayed here over the years, but no more Our room was not ready at 3:15, moved to another one Had ants in the bed, bath room door would not close at all, housekeeping came walking in at 8:30 and was wondering if anyone was in there so not fully dressed, got a call at 10:30 pm as we were sleeping to see in anyone was in the room, then our card to get into the room didn’t work

After all thisI don’t think that $29000 is appropriate All this in 2 days ! Sorry but we will not be back Alice Rowland

Used the app to get a room at this hotel App consistently showed sold out Called the hotel to find out why

Was informed by front desk about two night minimum stay Was told by front desk to call the diamond desk, extremely rudely Diamond desk told me they would have the manager of the hotel contact me Manager never contacted me This has been a week agoHorrible service to a diamond member who spends 120+ nights a year in Hilton hotels

Nairb Carter

I’d like to describe my stay but I’m not able to The day of my reservation While I was in route We were notified that our reservation was canceled

I wasn’t the only one Apparently there was a massive amount of damage caused by a leaky pipe It was so bad that that all of our baseball families For the tournament that weekend, had their rooms canceled as well When I asked the front desk the reason why just the baseball teams were canceled I was disconnected Yepthey hung up on meGreat hotel They overbooked, and we got the boot

Jason Bruce

Overall the room was cleaned and served the purposes it needed to The facility as a whole was average as the pool was closed and didn’t appear to have been maintained The bathroom in the room I was in had pink mildew/soap scum on the shower walls around the fixtures/handles and the drain didn’t work properly as the stopped could not be fixed into the up position so the tub filled with water as you showered and then had to hold the stopped up to drain it

The location is fantastic as there are two restaurants in front of the hotel property and several more within a few minutes drive as well as a Walmart
