I just got out of hospital and our air conditioning qt home wasn’t working so we wanted go there over night til ours was fixed When we checked in the counter person ran our credit card through three times for the room and then we had to give her a $250 cash deposit because we were locals is it when we gave her the $250 she didn’t even put it in the register she slid it under the register and we didn’t know that she ran the charges through three times for the room we went to go eat dinner and we couldn’t use our credit card because it had exceeded the limit when I went online and checked it out there was three charges for that hotel so we went back up to the hotel and the girl said why I have no proof of it and that it was only showing up one in her register when in all actuality what she did is she refunded those two extra charges and put it in her pocket and the $250 security deposit was still underneath the register and I called that to her attention We decided that we weren’t going to stay there because her people skills were horrible

she lied said there also no way to give us any receipts When I asked for the $250 deposit she said she didn’t have access to it which I could see it under registerI did get that back She threw it across counter Definitely needed needed leave She shouldn’t be working there she is a thief so here we are 4 weeks out still no refund on the charges And the company doesn’t seem to really care The one manager I talked to said we have to hire whatever we can because of it being the overnight shift So they don’t mind employees stealing money from the company or the customer I will never recommend this hotel or will I ever stay at another Choice I filed a report with BBB their representative that I talked to said they hear that a lotSo if you stay there Be sure to get a receipt And watch where security deposit is put Also watch how many times your card has been charged It was an expensive lesson learned to just Try and be comfortable after being in hospital for 16 days

It just barely hit the 3 star mark for me While it’s a newer hotel therefore cosmetically it doesn’t call for a lot what it is lacking is overall deep cleaning As well all of the side entrance doors that your suppose to have your key card to enter stay unlocked making it possible for anyone to gain access regardless if they are staying here or not

The phone in the room doesn’t work The bathtub backed up with water while showering The breakfast was ok The cinnamon rolls were the highlight of the options available for breakfast The area seems safe There is a sheets gas station located extremely close which is great for food options The experience def isn’t & wasn’t worth the $170/night we paid whatsoever!

I can’t help much hereI was only there for a few hours for our nursing agency’s mandatory skills training

howeverwe were in a small conference room so there were only 2-3 nurses plus maybe 5 or 6 instuctors in a certain block period of timethe problem was there was no a/c in the roomthe desk clerk had tried to change the thermostat setting but got nowhere as it appeared to be preset and locked at that settingthere was no airflow so finally one of the instructors opened one of the doors to get a little airflowif I was a business paying for the use of a small conference room I would complain as it was too hot for comfortit was in the low 90’s outdoors so it was very uncomfortable with no airflow

We stay here for work It’s always clean, and comfortable Housekeepers are always kind

Front desk are there to help when you need them Whenever we had any issues they explained the situation and made us feel better Wish the pool was open all season! And, if you have issues with the TV, I was told there’s always a tech guy on site 👍

We spent 10 days at the Wyndham Garden State College while our home was being repaired The hotel is beautiful and in a great location But, the best things about our stay were the staff and the food

The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied, the restaurant’s food was excellent and the wait staff was even better The manager, housekeeping staff, and the front desk staff were friendly and very helpful and always took a moment to make us feel at home I would recommend this hotel to everyone It was a great value for our money

Great for golfing and nice hotel They clean the rooms once per 3 night stay, so if you stay three nights, you do not get the room cleaned until checkout The room I stayed in had a large shower, no doorway/curtain so the bathroom floor was fairly wet

Nice breakfast till 930am Dinner restaurant closes kinda early, food service stopped around 9pm, last call around 10pmClean place

We had a family wedding at this venue It was an amazing experience It’s was moderately priced but it was a 5 star experience

The rehearsal dinner was great on a Friday night with the liveMusic Staff were so accommodating friendly and helpful The wines were all good First time I ever drank a lemonade infused with bourbon fantastic The girls stayed over in the home on the property the night before and had a blast Everything was wonderful, no complaints They had to cater out but it wasn’t bad they accommodated the caters and they could shop around Everyone had such a great experience

Debby McKinney (Debby M)

2022 was our second overnight visit to Juniata Valley Winery to celebrate Valentines Day Therewere fresh flowers on every table, a dinner that satisfied the palate and the tummy, and a liveband And please, let’s not forget the incredible wine! We stayed the night and slept wonderfully in our clean and historical room

The eventdirector, Molly, was not only kind and inviting, her energy was contagious! We lookforward to attending again!

If I could give more stars I would! Every single thing about our wedding at JVW was incredible From the range of services offered, the quality of those services and just the amount of work the entire staff including the owners put in to make your day special is remarkable Other services they offer that we went with was- In house caterer- Weekend package with Wilson House accomadations- In House Bar- Plated/ butlered meals- Grazing table for cocktail hour- And most importantly the wedding coordination package with Molly!Molly literally made our day 1000 times better and if you have a wedding here and don’t hire her than you’re doing yourself a disservice!! I would have payed double for her services, weddings can be stressful enough with the planning and execution and she does it with ease

Her attention to detail and organization made the life of every other of our 8 vendors lives easier and all of them mentioned that she made their jobs so much easier and their duties clear I can’t say enough great things about her Thank you MollyOur grazing table was a huge hit and added such a nice elegance to our cocktail hourAs I mentioned before, from the owner, the servers, bartenders, Wilson House staff and tasting room staff were all amazing So very nice and helpful to our wedding party and guestsYou get what you pay for, and Juniata Valley Winery is a true example of that I wouldn’t change a single thing about our experience and we’re so thankful to all included!!!

The pool was refreshing We tent camped and it felt like we weren’t apart of the campground The sites were on the other side of the creek with no restrooms on that side The flies and bees were terrible at our site There was a food truck on site!

It’s nothing special Clean Nice people

But it is not worth the cost $207 total for 2 people and 2 old little dogs for one night! I’ve stayed in nice resorts with much more to offer than a place to sleep and microwave omelettes for the cost of this place It’s not even warm enough for their tiny pool to be open yet, and any nearby ski slopes are long closed for the season

EJ Zelensky

My stay experience was nice The room was very clean and up to date Ac worked nicely, shower had great pressure (shower heads could use some updating) and the beds were comfy imo

The staff was very friendly as well There is a dollar store, subway, Dairy Queen, Rutters and an Arbys right next to the hotel The only thing I wish there was more of would be places that deliver The only delivery option was a Dominos and Pizza Hut unless you use Door Dash All in all you can’t beat it for $100/night

Laura Westover

Have stayed here several times over the years Just above average, initially, but it has deteriorated July ‘22 was the most recent visit: curtains were shredding, shower curtain rail and towel rack above the toilet were about to fall out of the wall

Next door, significant noise and headlights were an all-night-long feature from travel center customers Bed was uncomfortable and there were barely any blankets Breakfast is basic If there were more choices in Mifflin Co they could not charge what they do Search hotels in nearby State College because the other hotel chain within a few miles of this one, although nicer/newer, is managed by the same people according to an employee If you must stay here request a room that does not face Rutters
