My family travels quite a lot and always hope to find a hotel like this Our room was perfect… without exaggeration Beds were comfy, it was very clean and the layout of the room gave the four of us plenty of space

A full breakfast was offered including eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, etc The ladies taking care of the breakfast area were super… they were friendly and cleared dishes as they greeted people coming to eat Staff at the reception desk were just as friendly Hotel also had a pool and hot tub which is nice after being on the road all day We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone there! A+!!

Near shopping but close to hospital that my dad was at I haven’t been to a Comfort Inn in years Best hotel bed ever! Very clean, tastefully updated

Ear plugs by the bed & apology for being by the train tracks, but so quiet never heard a thing Plenty of outlets for bedside chargers & even outlets on both sides of bathroom vanity Only complaint is flat pillows but there were 4, so I doubled up Comfort Inn next time!

The only star ⭐ this place got knocked off was for location because it’s not easy getting from the main road to the hotel even though you can see the hotel from the highway That’s odd, but not going to matter that muchNice, clean and well laid out hotel

Super clean rooms too

The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean Both my husband and I slept comfortably in the room The hotel is dated, but has everything you need

My kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub I enjoyed the location as you can walk to a nice park nearby The breakfast is complimentary and in the restaurant connected This morning was scrambled eggs, pancakes, corned beef and potatoes Cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, bread and pastries The wait staff was hard to flag down and I did have to get up and ask for my coffee twice, granted, she was the only one working

This hotel is in need of some refreshment and renovation Bed wasn’t too comfortable, and had no mattress pad Pillows were flat and flabby

Hallways had a weird dank smell Possibly the world’s slowest elevator The food in the restaurant could best be described as mediocreI was traveling by bicycle, and weirdly, they wouldn’t let me take my bike up to my room (first time in years) Had the hotel been nicer, I might have understood, but with the run-down appearance it didn’t make much sense

Christina!! She is amazing! Took care of us, helped us understand the parking issue (due to a festival downtown) and offered solutions This young woman treats guests as though it is HER hotel! We saw her putting out fires, dealing with abusive guests and doing it all with grace and a smile!!! I hope the owners know what a treasure they have in Christine!!

Arrived to find my reservation for the room was allready booked After that mess was cleared up I was given a room That room had blood stains all over the carpet

1 very large blood stain the size of a paper plate next to the bed No smoke detectors in the room Only good thing about this place was the nice older gentleman behind the counter

We were on our way to UP and needed a place to stay on our way there Called that morning and everyone in the area was booked Luckily the Budget Inn had two rooms available, a queen and two twins

We got the Queen The owner (I believe he was the owner) was very nice on the phone and in person I was not expecting much when I pulled into the parking lot but what I did get was a very clean room at a get price It is notable that the price I was quoted over the phone included taxes which I was not expecting The rooms are small but as mentioned, very clean Everything down to the bath/shower was excellent Even the caulking was clean – experience has taught me that this is an overlooked area for most hotels The bed was comfy and the room was nice but small as mentioned It is obvious that the owners take pride in their motel

Was passing through town and needed a place and i prefer local over chain so i stopped here The staff were friendly and all interactions included smiles My room was very comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean

I even opted to stay a second night to avoid riding in some bad weather It looks small from the street but its actually much larger I will stay here again on my next visit Dont just drove past stop here and stay!!

I stay at many Choice Hotels This one is a mixed bag The good: convenient location, nice bed, a/c was working well and the bath sink and counter are newer

The bad: The shower needs serious cleaning – dark stains on the caulking and in the grout (nasty) Also – the showerhead is old and duct taped, and the tube connecting it to the faucet is really old This is supposed to be an ADA-compliant room but the showerhead is positioned way too high for someone in a wheelchair I suggest management go take a look The carpet is old and torn

don olson

Carpet wasnt vacumed, air conditioner rattled all night, milk and other food was gone at 9am, garbage cans were full All i can say if this is the new normal for $200 a night, i will sleep in the car or drove home the 2 hour I DO NOT RECOMMEND

And if your going to respond to this post, dont respond with the copy and paste BS that is on the othe bad reviews, fix the problem

Despite the fire trucks coming it was a wonderful stayKudos to the front desk clerk(Handled the situation very well) she was polite, kind and did a great job! When we checked in only 3 rooms left after a long hectic day on the road She deserves a raise

The room was great Very clean, neat, kept in good shape Newly updated

We had a 1st floor king room Bed was very comfortable Bathroom was in great condition No knicks, clean paint, new trim Meaning not worn outAnnoyance: Bell goes off every time someone goes in/out a door starting at 7am and can be heard in roomAlso: why the heck should I be charged a separate line item for a “safe” in the room I don’t even use it

Berseker Mayan

Let’s be honest No one really *wants* to stay at an Econolodge I don’t mean this as an insult, but realistically I think we can all agree we’d rather be staying somewhere else

Anywho, at this price point, my main concerns are safety and cleanliness In that respect, Econolodge exceeded my expectations My room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and I had no issues Plus its across the street from the police department Breakfast is very basic – more functional than enjoyable

What a wonderful stay!My boyfriend booked our room to stay the night Valentine’s Day, In one of their suites The room was absolutely beautiful! Amenities in the room were awesome And the best part was the AMAZING staff set up our room with rose petals leading to the bed that spelt out I love you on it! I HIGHLY recommend staying here! 10 out of 5 stars

Kristin Neil

We stayed in room 225 with a water view and it was amazing! I was not expecting a room with a balcony, a kitchenette and dining room seating from this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised The rooms were moderately loud but not any louder than any other hotel room We also came for a wedding which may have brought a rowdier crowd than usual

The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and the breakfast was great I loved that they had options to go like packets of peanut butter, yogurt, granola bars and fruit! If we come back to the area we will definitely stay again

One of my favorite AmericInn’s in the UP The rooms are clean and comfy, the pool area is fantastic and roomy and the staff is always super friendly I always feel like I’m at home there!Just remember to wear shoes when you go to the pool

Their choice of flooring is a little tough on the feet!!!
