They staff was very accommodating They were quick to assist with any request we had The check in and out process was seamless

I gave 4 stars because, I guess based on timing, the pool and laundry facilities were being renovated I had to go to a sister hotel for these amenities Other than that I plan to stay again if the pool and laundry renovations are complete

Sam Ferguson

Overall it was an okay experience It accomplished the goal of a bed to sleep while passing through townHowever, we had a difficult time getting into the building upon our late night arrival

Spent around 30 minutes trying to knock/call/get anyone to let us in We even went to the hotel behind them to ask them if they could help She offered to call them for us but also didn’t get an answer I think we caught them on a bad night with high prices and poor service I would only stay if the rate matched the quality and unfortunately we paid close to the max rateFyi – Room 322 might be missing a carbon monoxide and smoke detector too

Bob Sorey

Room 217 Less than basic – Tv didn’t work Only one towel and nothing else in entire room Really basic for $168 – i can handle a hotel that needs a renovation but this one – 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️🤮 Should have expected something when an email arrived and said if you arrive after 7 doors locked and your reservation subject to cancellation – call this number 🤷🏼‍♂️🎤🥃

This stay was one of the wildest hotel experiences of my life I’ve never walked into a hotel and not been able to find an employee at the front desk There were several people waiting in the lobby to be helped but there wasn’t a single employee around for several minutes

One of the other customers who was waiting started calling the front desk and offices but no one answered Finally someone came out and offered no apology or explanation; I understand that places are understaffed but management should train them to at least acknowledge that and apologizeWhen we got to our room, which was the Executive Suite, it was really bare bones with very little bedding and blankets and half a roll of toilet paper We ran out of toilet paper after 4 trips The breakfast situation is bizarre and you have to pay extra to get hot food You purchase a breakfast “ticket” to present at the breakfast barThe last girl who got us more toilet paper was extremely friendly and helpfulI know employees are underpaid and thus businesses are understaffed so Holiday Inn needs to work that out and perhaps offer better pay in order to attract employees in order to be adequately staffed I’ve never had a bad experience at a HI until now

Feels like an older hotel that has been recently renovated/updated Rooms are nice There’s also some meeting rooms and event spaces if you need that sort of thing

There’s an on-site pool, but I didn’t check it outKey cards for the rooms are finnicky They frequently stop working The guy at the front desk told us you can’t get them anywhere near a cell phone or similar electronics or it wipes them That doesn’t sound very practical in 2022 Maybe get better key card tech?Breakfast is weird If you want hot breakfast you have to have some voucher Otherwise, it’s cold breakfast only If those vouchers weren’t included with your room you can buy them (Though, if I’m paying for breakfast then I am just going to go to a legit full service restaurant) It seems to mostly create confusion and anger among the guests (just read the other reviews) So, I’m not sure what they were thinking Just provide hot breakfast to *ALL* of your guests and adjust room rates accordingly DuhFinally, to the d-bags who feel the need to park their long trucks and pick-ups with trailers sideways across 8 parking spots Could you maybe not do it right by the door? That’s rather selfish and obnoxious

Just now leaving Hotel did a great job There was a couple sports teams in town and staff was kind, courteous, and engaged with everyone

Seemed to be doing well to keep everyone happy, including other guests like usQuite overpriced hotel in my opinion but seemed to be mostly because of the particular night we happened to be going through town

Our family came here for Mother’s Day weekend We had a great time and it was a very unique experience! The price is definitely on the higher end, so I wish breakfast was included and maybe some other amenities But we had fun with what was available

We didn’t leave the resort because downtown Memphis is a very dangerous and high crime area That’s a fact, just drive through and you’ll see But the resort room was so cool, the inside was amazing how you could look down into and up into the pyramid It was the coolest bass pro we’ve ever seen too The bowling alley and restaurants were great too We had an issue with our AC the first night to they upgraded our room and gave us a discount for that night All staff was too notch There are police and security on site at all times for resort safety We would stay again but not for a while due to the cost

Alexander Meditz

It really is a great place to stay The room was very clean and the decor was rustic and charming We had an interior room that had a screened in balcony that allowed you to look down into Bass Pro Shop

You need to have a room key in order to get to the second or third floor which is nice because it keeps the traffic down to a minimum The one thing they could improve on is the bar they have on the 3rd floor They don’t have very many options as it is basically a dry bar All in all it was definitely a great experience and we would totally stay here again

Carrie Dela Cruz

A wonderful experience here, all employees were so welcoming, the definition of southern hospitality The room was amazing felt like being in a cabin Spending much of the evening on the balcony felt like we were outside without having to be outside with the mosquitoes

The Mississippi terrace was beautiful and relaxing to sit at and watch the sun go down The shower was wonderful and the linens were great quality not your standard over washed scratchy stuff you see in hotels Thanks for a great stay I hope to some day be back

It’s such a wonderful place to stay, clean rooms, reasonably priced, but the staff is what makes this place 5 stars! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the warmth The restaurant was good, nothing to write home about, but again, the staff is so wonderful, I ate there twice There are plenty of food choices close by, that’s why I really can’t ding the hotel itself

There’s also Top Golf simulators in the lobby, nice little something to do when you come back for the night

Rooster and the Mench

Very nice stay, i actually booked a 3 night after staying 2, it was a great hotel, with great staff I wish it was closer to the things i was in town forI loved the pool, going in the morning we had to pool to ourselves

The hotel is in downtown Memphis, blocks from Beale Street and nearby to so many restaurants The lobby is extraordinary Very opulent

Everyone wants to watch the duck parade We enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel The staff is polite and professional Prices are high for rooms and for food in the restaurants but it’s all very elegant Our room was quite small and our bathroom was the size of a closet The garage feels safe and is very clean but it’s not free, so be prepared I’m glad we experienced this; but, if we came again, I would cough up the extra bucks for a larger room

Nick Pipikios

If you are staying in Memphis, why not stay in its great, historic hotel with very good service Great location It’s a sold four star hotel

The lobby is beautiful and the stores are of good quality The rooms are decent but we were in a pet friendly room which no matter the hotel are never as niceSelf park is quite a distance but directly connected to the hotelThe duck parade is a fun, quirky, event to watch

Jackie Cullen

Stayed for two nights recently in this hotel on a trip from Ireland The hotel is fabulous and our room was beautiful and so comfortable We loved the ducks! However our stay was made by our dinner waiter, Chris, on both evenings

He was superb! So much fun, professional and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful time! Thank you

I am sorry for this low rating I gave two stars for its clean decent bathroom It is just that the hotel is old and outdated and has some musty smell

The air-conditioner is on the wall and located very near to one of the queen beds When it is on, it is so loud I couldn’t sleep all nightThe breakfast we had was not impressive either The muffin was stale My kid said the scrambled eggs tasted funny Even the ice water has some rusty taste to it

Jake Korinek

This place is rundown and dingy It is an inexpensive place to stay, but it’s not worth the cost savings There are mold issues and a general lack of maintenance that make this place iffy at best

The breakfast is decent and the staff is nice, but the rooms are bad, at least mine wasFor example, the faucet leaks and the solution, put a rag in the sink Showed up to this in my sink to stop it making noise when it drips Unacceptable**update**Toilet stopped flushing my last morning here Shouldn’t be surprised by it at this point

Michelle Malais

Security is a problem!! One of our family’s vehicles was broken into (smashed window added $450 to the stay) along with 5 other vehicles According to the police it’s a common occurrence and could be avoided with a security guardFor the price of the room, I would stay somewhere else because they do not spend money on upgrading or fixing things in the building

There were many obvious repairs that were needed and neglected Our room with a king bed was very small We were grateful we didn’t experience bed bugs Do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews, unfortunately we didn’t see them until we were checked in and thought maybe people were exaggerating, they weren’t!

Decor was awesome, I had the chance to see the lady adding new “street art” to the wall outside the building she did a wonderful job! Also the bed was comfortable, the shower was perfect I loved how the shower glass walls ( wasn’t see thru) was labeled with everything Memphis! In my opinion its better than The Peabody as I’ve stayed at both! The bed when u put your foot down the bottom lights come on, absolutely loved this feature ( I’ll be looking to add this to my bed at home), great stay, friendly staff, the bar and rooftop was great! Room was clean, loved my whole experience! Will definitely recommend and will stay again!

M S

Beautifully decorated rooms Amazing rooftop party experience and great local nightlife in the heart of downtownRoom could be sanitized better and I would recommend for furniture to be steam cleaned at each turn over due to having a stain on my couch at check-in

I celebrated my birthday last night and had expected to have a late check-out but management refused my request due to hotel being overbooked or filled to capacity which doesn’t allow the current guests to enjoy the full hospitality experience We’re basically being shoved out the door at 11am although rooms were not ready at the regular check-in time the day before at 3pmRoom service menu definitely needs an upgrade, but I’m sure they’re still working on it due to being a new hotel during the pandemicMy room has a large living space with work desk and large flat screen tv Amazing city and river views as well I love the contemporary and modern mix of furniture Very nice hotel but over time hopefully the service will improve

Stacie

This hotel is situated close enough to all of the action of Beale St, but yet far enough removed if you are seeking a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city The rooms are nicely appointed and spacious

All of the staff that I encountered even in passing were very friendly and offered suggestions on the best places to eat and visit Very enjoyable stay The lobby is a great place for people watching!

Stayed here for a week, and the stay was just average overallPros:1 Good location in terms of access to restaurants, stores, etc

2 Friendly, and attentive staffCons:1 Overall cleanliness of hotel wasn’t up to the typical Holiday Inn standard Carpets on my floor were grimy, and there were several spills that didn’t appear to have been cleaned2 While breakfast was included in the stay, there was none available throughout the stay The night of checking in, I was told breakfast would be available from 6 AM However, the next morning, the lobby was completely empty and I was told ‘the staff didn’t show up’ so there wasn’t any breakfast! At a minimum, at least coffee could have been made available in the lobby – but that wasn’t the case

Lily Fluharty

Our stay here wasn’t bad, but there were some unfortunate issues with our room Our first room the heating/cooling wasn’t working When we told the front desk, they got us a new room which was great! While the cooler worked in this new room we had some other issues

the shower door would not close, there were crusty stains all over the carpet, and the shades were brokenOverall, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location wasn’t horrible, but the rooms weren’t great

Room was nice Wasn’t what I expected as far as a safe, family, atmosphere Surely it’s great for the adventurous, young, single crowd

Elevator problems so had to walk stairs the floor 3 Area is super sketch I felt that I had to worry about safety outside the hotel Main mistake was just ignorance on my part Should have researched the hotel policies and area before booking I’m sure this place is enjoyed by a specific crowd Just not a 50 something Caucasian male with a 16 yo athlete passing through

Deatrice Snuggs-McCloud

Overall we enjoyed our stay this past weekend The location was perfect as we were attending a concert right across the street at FedEx Forum Beale Street is just a few footsteps away

The staff was also extremely nice and helpful Over the weekend there was only one elevator working I know sometimes things happen but that was extremely frustrating when there are several events going on at the Forum and the hotel is pretty booked Also the bathrooms could use some updating and the showers could be cleaned a little better Overall, I would stay again just because the location is PERFECT!

Janetta Brewster

2 women traveling for work and stayed here passing through Location was perfect ! Very clean ! And on a helpful note, the room needs a fridge a person can use not packed with costly items Shower doesn’t work for a short person trying to not get my hair wet

But the #1 thing that needs addressing is the staff need to wear uniforms ! Street clothes are very unprofessional at a nice hotel the valet guy looked like her was off the street taking my car But overall I would definitely stay again !

We had a great weeks stay at the Sheraton! The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfy The air conditioner worked fine The towels were soft

The TV was really big! The staff was very nice and helpful! We also ate at the restaurant and it was good and the servers were so nice!! Would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to be near the Cannon Center!

shari cunningham

What happened to this place? There is no security I did not have to use my room card for re-entry into the lobby in the middle of the night or in elevator There was no security in the lobby or anyone at the front desk

Anyone could come in and roam freely I was approached in the lobby by someone asking for money at about 5:00 am No hotel staff in sight, outside or inside My sink was clogged Large pieces of Bathtub enamel were chipped off Room wasn’t clean My pillows had obviously not been replaced in years nor had the badly worn bedspread Paper coffee cups are no longer protected in plastic wrap prior to use – so unsanitary The doors close incredibly loudly Ice machines not available on every floor It was an expensive stay and very disappointing Research carefully We wont be returning

Mia Owens

Two stars is honestly generous I was here for a volleyball tournament, as the Sheraton was connected to the venue which made it easy However that was about the only pro

First off, let’s discus our room (which was awful) There were holes and scuffs in the carpet, rips in the sheets, no luggage rack, and hair that wasn’t ours all over the shower/shower curtain The beds were small and the tv had no service on multiple channels The body wash in the shower was completely liquid and looked like it was just mixed with waterSecond, the restaurant (Crossroads) It was horrible We never ate there because the staff ignored us every time we wanted to be seated Mind you, we tried 6 times (in the span of 2 days) and not one was successful The staff would not look at us The worst part was when we ended our games late and the Crossroads was the only thing that was open and they would not sit us We then had to go drive around Memphis at 10:00 pm to try to find food (I also don’t recommend doing that Memphis is dangerous at night) Driving around wasn’t much better though, as the hotel has practically ZERO restaurants around it The only nice staff where those at the front desk, who proved to be very helpful in a couple situationsThird, the valet service Although helpful at times, having to ask for someone to get your car and then waiting 15 minutes is not convenient The only non-valet parking close to the Sheraton is at the church across the street, but that is $18 a day Not to mention you have to cross a busy roadFinally, I want to bring up the trolley I will admit this was nice The stop is right outside the front of the hotel on main street There are a couple different lines, and it was $1 per time you rode We used the trolley around 4 times over the 2 1/2 daysOverall I honestly would not recommend this hotel Sure it is convenient, but that’s about all it has going for it(I also forgot to mention that the pool was closed the entire time, but the gym was very nice)

The hotel has a strange scent My first impression- The room walls were dirty the rugs have dirt in the corners and everything was dusty even the bathroom The bathroom sink and tub had rust inside the basin and along faucets and the closet was dirty too

My husband requested housekeeping to clean the room but nobody showed up to clean The halls of this hotel was not better because there is dirt smudges on the walls and stains on the rugs and trash littered on the floor and inside the elevators The elevator buttons are even nasty and need to be scrubbed Compared to the Knoxville Hilton Garden we stayed in last night the Memphis Hilton Garden is a Super 8 motel The cable in the room even disconnected and never resumed after 2 hours of checking in the room If you enjoy cleanliness, comfort, quality, or quiet avoid this hotel Furthermore, there aren’t many food options available in the area

Stephen Adelman

Wont stay here again, they only have one working elevator, the one that dose work doesn’t work properly They don’t have enough luggage carts, and it seemed like people held them in the rooms to have them for check out in the morning When we called and asked for one more pillow they said they were all out

It just seemed like excuse after excuse with the front desk, and when we brought all the issues we had up at check out All we got was a sorry hope you have a better experience next time!

Kim Clay

I stayed at the Hilton this past weekendI was not able to get an early check in but when I got there after 4:00, my room was ready It was clean kind of stuffy

The rose looks fairly new I was exhausted when I got there Normally, I have a problem laying in somebody else’s bed Last night I slept so good I woke up this morning feeling good I wanted to give a review because when I see that there’s good service I want others to know the only problem I really had is that I couldn’t get my water hot hot And then my toilet wouldn’t go down I called the front desk they sent maintenance up He did what he needed to do Kudos to Hilton and Crew

This hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was extremely friendly, the room was clean and had an immaculate vibe About a 10 minute walk to Beale street, so it was easy to explore that area In the morning my boyfriend and I had breakfast at their cafe in the lobby and the French toast was incredible! We also had the egg salad sandwich and the avocado toast, both also very good

I would book again here in a heart beat!

Lobby is inviting with a nice bar and coffee bar If you like the loud bar scene a young folks bar is a stones throw awaySo staff are extremely nice a check in Rooms are old industrial look with nice use of exposed wiring with cool curves in conduit Pet friendlyLove the rooms Beds are wonderful and sheets and towels are plushLoved it

Stayed there for 3 nights and it was a 100% positive experience The design of the place is an exquisite mix of vintage & loft style, the room looked very spacious though it was not large at all The room was serviced every day, the cleaning team did their job very well, so did the receptionists who were very helpful and friendly

The breakfast by Hustle & Dough was the best way to start a day, I already miss my avo toast and cappuccino The location is central, pretty short walk to famous Beale street and downtown A nice supermarket is just 10 min walk, and in addition there’s a trolley station right in front of the entrance door (make sure you check the trolley out, it’s an experience to remember:))) When planning your booking pay attention that this hotel is dog friendly, which may be inconvenient for people who have allergy

Close to interstate close to casino close to stores not in the best area but no one is robbing and killing like Memphis so consider yourself safe Plus police is always in the area The room was pretty decent air condition did what it was suppose to, they do have smoking rooms for those who smoke

No bed bugs in the room I had so that’s a good thing Pretty okay for $80 bucks a night

I am giving this hotel only one star due to several reasons First and foremost was the fact that the fire alarm went off and the hotel staff, which appears to have been only one person, did not check that every guest was out of the hotel safely They should have a better system in place for notifying guests so that no one gets left behind if there is a real emergency

We were all lucky that it happened to be a false alarm I’m sure this happens a lot at hotels Someone burning popcorn or smoking in the room Needless to say that this alarm was caused by the people in the room next to mine who were up all night partying and smoking So apparently since no one reported the noise of the party it is the other guests fault that the alarm went off It’s our fault the alarm went off, that does not make sense How are the other guests supposed to know what someone is doing in their room It’s like saying the hotel staff should have known so they shouldn’t be paid because they didn’t do their job I don’t expect the hotel to give anyone anything free But I do expect them to be a little more compassionate to their guests But I am under the impression that this particular hotel or the staff at the time did not care about anything They were just a robot making money When you have a grandchild that is unique it takes a lot of time to get them to sleep Things that are easy for everyone else to deal with, like noises and emotions, if very difficult for my grandchild After all is said and done all I asked for was a little compassion from the hotel and they could not assist So we had to leave at 3:00 am in the morning to find somewhere else to stay This is one hotel I will never visit againOther than this one experience with this hotel, the rooms were clean, the check in staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was a little cloudy Not as clear as it should be The part of the hotel I did see seemed clean

I read some of the previous reviews and I’m glad to say we did not have any issues during our stayJames at the front desk was very courteous and helpful checking us inWe did have to sign a waiver for ‘no parties’ and be responsible for $500 if we broke it which I completely agree with since hopefully it solves a lot of the previous issues

Room was exceptionally clean and stocked of all toiletriesThe bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very soft We slept like babiesBEWARE: It did smell like weed at some occasions It never really bothered us since it was confined to the elevator mostly

Im beyond upset with the way our family was treated at this hotel I am the chairperson for our family reunion and blocked many rooms here at home2suites We were all excited about staying here because it’s in a great location

The staff here waited until check in time to start calling several family members to inform us about our room We were told that they had construction going on in the hotel and that we had to get a king with a let out couch or cancel free of charge Remember we’re from out of state, many of our family members drove 11 hours just to get there You would think with a large group booking 10 plus room that we would have been better accommodated I explained to the guys at the front desk that we were quoted $129 for a king and $139 for a double They said because of our special rate that we couldn’t get it for $129 and that the rooms are much higher now This large group agreement was done back in March, the reunion was July 8-10 I really wish the hotel would called me before check in time, my family and I would have booked elsewhere The repair had been going on for some time long before that week

Everything about this hotel was amazing starting with the helpfulness and professionalism of the front desk employees I don’t know her name but I was impressed She gave recommendations, explained where things were in the area, gave us a map, and really set us up nicely to enjoy our visit! In addition, she called up to my room to check on us and make sure our room was to our liking, answered any questions I had, and truly made us feel welcomed

The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable The bed was firm yet extremely comfortable The hotel is in a great location and it has amazing breakfast and I mean a Real breakfast not the grab and go snack type I will definitely stay here again whenever I’m in town
