Just stayed here with my boyfriend— everything was amazing! Tom is so friendly, we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived All other staff are friendly as well The house is beautiful, clean and well decorated

The outdoor area both in front and back of the house are both great spots to relax during the day/evening And to top it off, breakfast was delicious as well Will definitely be returning

Hear me out with this review:I have never stayed in a Bed & Breakfast house before and when I was initially trying to book somewhere to stay in Rehoboth Beach this was the first place suggested The house contains rooms with private bathrooms and rooms on a floor with shared bathrooms I was very hesitant to book at first when I read that I would have to “share” a bathroom

We just returned home after a 4 night stay here and we were more than satisfied!Tom, the house owner, is super kind, personable and hospitable His other workers (Rayvn and Chris) are also so helpful and always get you what you need You can request to have breakfast in the morning from a menu selection and they bring you your food out at the time you request to have it ready for you Tom always came and checked up on us wherever we were sitting during breakfast to chat about random things, show us his puppy and ask us if we wanted more food or needed anythingThe room we stayed in had a shared bathroom in the hallway (we stayed on the 2nd floor and other rooms shared 2 full baths and a half bath with us) and it was actually very clean The staff did a good job replenishing towels each day and cleaning the shower/toilet/sink Felt very comfortable here We would love to try a room with a private bathroom (it was so booked up when we tried to get one initially so book way in advance!)I love that the beach was only a 4 minute walk and access to the main streets was only an alley walk away from the house No complaints at all after this stay When we sat out on the porch each morning and night, many people would walk by making comments about how pretty and interesting the establishment was The interior of the house smells super good and is clean Highly recommend staying here!Overall 5/5 stars and we will definitely be back next year 😊

This is what a bed and breakfast should be!Friendly hospitable staff, fresh cooked breakfast to order, and an owner that cares about the experience and the locationEvery staff person was so authenticly kind and thoughtfulEverything was clean and the house smelled great! We had a long weekend

arrived Friday night and left Monday morningThe location is within walking distance to just about everythingThe rooms were comfortable, clean and well appointedHonestly this location and the people that give it its heart were quite a suprise, we’ve never stayed anywhere that wasn’t a chainWe will definately revisit!!!If you enjoy history and the way small towns tend to rewrite themselves as unknown obscure things come to light Do yourself a favor and ask the owner about the history of the place I’m glad he had the time to share with us before we checked out

This is a very quaint Inn with a focus on sustainability and Dogfish (obviously)! If you like what Dogfish is all about then you’ll like this place The room was clean and the attendants were very nice/helpful The fire pit outside was great for sitting around and chatting with other guests after dark

There are free bikes you can take to ride around town You’re within walking distance of some good restaurants We’ll definitely be going back, as long as we book well in advance

Julie Blichmann

Quaint town with an eclectic inn If you’re looking for posh, skip this place If you’re looking for simple, clean and comfortable, this is the place to stop!Spent two nights here in January, so taking advantage of their bicycle rental, was not even considered! There are several restaurants in walking distance and the room has a refrigerator and microwave

We will definitely choose this place to stay whenever we make it back!

Jessica Stewart

I almost hate to post this review, as we love this place and want to ensure we can still get space We have stayed at this hotel both as a couple before children and as a family of four We loved it for different reasons

The location to beach and town is great, the beds are amazing, the place thinks of all the little items: fire pit (although miss the smoke from the real fire as helped to control mosquitoes), items to borrow, and the specialty things like the growler, etc We plan to continue to come back (hopefully every year!

We decided to book at the Comfort Inn after availability in the area was limited I read all the reviews and thought I would take a chance We arrived Thursday and left Sunday (this morning)

I normally don’t write reviews, however for $322 a night I couldn’t understand how we NEVER had anyone come clean our room, empty the garbage, replace toiletries (not even toilet paper) By Sunday the garbage cans were over flowing, we didn’t have clean towels , no clean wash clothes etc I had to go to the front desk to ask for what I needed (including tv remote ) Compared to prices in the area this was lower than others but still you expect the basics The rugs looked old and I used slippers to walk on the floor If all you are going to do is sleep in the room and not care about room service this might be for you

Alexia Bonchu

Bring towels! Myself and 3 children (2 are teenagers) stayed for 2 nights There was no customer service at front desk Manager Linda Graves Crocker didn’t care for constructive criticism or negative feedback

No surprise given the piss poor staff who serves under her leadership They didn’t have enough bath towels for my family and the next day they didn’t have any pool towels They refused bath towels in place of pool towels The room smelled like mildew

We just spent our anniversary weekend here, and overall, it was wonderful I’d mentioned when booking that it was for our anniversary, and to celebrate us, they brought a surprise complimentary bottle of wine and fruit and cheese board to our room, which was awesome The staff was friendly and helpful

The room was clean, and the view was lovely The fitness room was nice (definitely appreciated the free water bottles in the mini fridge there), and the soaking pool was great We had breakfast at Victoria’s one of the mornings, and the food was delicious Overall, we had a great time and great experience We’d definitely stay again

Voula Gelormo

You pay A LOT for this place!!! It’s a 4 star hotel conveniently located on the boardwalk at Rehoboth beach but you pay a pretty penny Be aware that you pay a pretty hefty occupancy tax daily per person!!! On top of your daily rate! Room service was not that great Would not clean the floors in the rooms or they wouldn’t give you enough towels for everyone

I had to ask for everything every day or get it myself! The good service was the restaurant, Victoria’s that’s part of the hotel when you dine in or in room And you automatically get charged 18% gratuity for room service from the restaurant I have paid less for a 5 star hotel with better service The location is what you pay for Also has a small indoor/outdoor heated pool They have a lot of parrots in their lobby and sometimes you have to scream and talk over the parrots in order to speak to anyone in the front desk!

Lauren Sherwood / Olszewski

The room was amazing we got the deluxe suit with hot tub in our room so relaxing The restaurant was fancy & food was amazing We had a very welcoming experience everyone was really nice & polite, definitely a relaxing atmosphere definitely recommend this hotel

I loved all the different exotic birds they had in the lobby of the hotel, also you could hold a few of them and they would climb up on your shoulder Really great experience definitely plan on returning in the future

We recently stayed at the Atlantic Sands for a 4 day getaway and we really enjoyed it Keep in mind that we went in the off season so there were a lot of things nearby that were closed, but we liked the hotel It’s definitely an older hotel, but it is kept very clean and everyone we talked to were very friendly and helpful

The room was clean and we always had hot water for showers The view from the balcony was amazing and the beds were comfortable We didn’t use housekeeping so we can’t speak tothat, but the Sands keeps the place very cleanRecommendations on places to eat were excellent Even though it was off season we still found great places to eat and shop, and the boardwalk is nice for taking a walkWe both agreed we would stay at the Atlantic Sands again

Dolores Acquista

My best friend and I had a girls getaway in October 2021 at The Sands and it was a great stay We had an oceanfront room which was amazing! The hotel location is literally steps from the hotel entrance to the boardwalk Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location can’t be beat

I have only good things to say about the staff who were polite, helpful, and fun to talk with The restaurant recommendations were on point; we took the staff’s suggestions and enjoyed every meal On-site parking is a plus If you can do the stairs, they’re faster than the elevators I love the “old” look of the hotel, it’s kind of kitschy and cool A few updates to the rooms would be nice to brighten them up a bit, but really, no complaints here Will be staying again in May and truly looking forward to it!

A. H.

So this place’s location is awesome; that’s for sure the main thing you pay a premium for It’s walking distance to everything right on the beach boardwalk But sadly that’s where the positive aspect ends, as the quality of this hotel is a huge letdown

It’s cheap-motel quality, at best You’ll notice many wall/floor/exterior finishes are peeling or crackingThe hallways and stairwells reeked of cigarettes and ammonia, at least during our stay The rooms are sadly no better, as ours had used coffee cartridges in the trash bin and a half-eaten sandwich in the fridge when we checked in The ceiling fan in the bathroom dangled by a wire, the bed linens felt sandy/coarse, and the TV didn’t really work either The AC unit was unusually loud and even the table lamps had missing buttons and bulbs None of these issues by themselves are generally dealbreakers for us, but altogether resulted in a big disappointment for the price We were totally bummed after reading many positive reviews and won’t be returningI will say the staff are helpful and friendly, and the room balconies are a nice touch Parking was also easy and available, and again the location is amazing If this place could get a makeover or at least better maintenance/cleaning, it could be really special

3 Friends In Progress

When we arrived on Sunday, August 7, check in was very busy but the front desk staff handled it extremely well Our room overlooked the lobby area where breakfast is served I was not pleased with this

I was feeling a little claustrophobic not having a window to look out of Also after driving six hours I wanted an outside view The next morning I went down to the front desk and asked for a room change I must say that Jeff and Jacob at the front desk were amazing at finding another room for us, with a water view Every employee that we encountered were very friendly and helpful but Jeff and Jacob really go above and beyond in their jobs Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is a great location, less than a block from the beach, Jolly Trolley stops right at the hotel, spent the evenings at the pier watching the sunset, loved having breakfast included The rooms were very roomy There were 4 of us in a room and there was plenty of space Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to our friends and family

Simone

Though the room was reasonably priced and lovely, the hotel places a hold on your card of the room price PLUS $50 per night (I didn’t know this until arrival but that’s probably my fault for not reading the fine print) Upon exit, they then actually charge you the price of the room… before the bank releases the initial hold So over $400 of my money was tied up unexpectedly for 3 days (happened to be over the holiday which really sucked)

Management said there was nothing they could do I was told it does not happen this way if you use a credit card (I used my debit)… but I was also told the hold would be released within 24 hours and that was untrue Additionally, upon arrival, my room was 99 degrees, maintenance had to come and replace the thermostat This was resolved in a fairly timely matter (considering) Outside of that, the room was nice – we were there for 3 days No microwave but they do have a mini fridge which was helpful Rooms are not maintained throughout your stay so garbage piled up, but we were able to go get additional towels, wash cloths and garbage bags from the front desk

bill d

Everyone was friendly and the AC was nice and cold in the room Being able to take our dog with us was Also great Having free breakfast was a plus as well

The areas that could use some improvement would be the indoor pool and the parking situation You can only use their indoor pool (the outdoor pool are not for hotel users) but it’s only 3 feet deep lol Their parking is underground and if you travel with a cargo box on top of you vehicle you will probably have to take it completely off before going in I believe anything over 75 feet won’t fit There are NO signs before going into the garage so be aware

Brighton Suites is perfect for families who prefer separate seating area from sleeping This is what attracted me to begin with The location is another perk, blocks away from the beach and from main street, yet away from the hustle and bustle making it for quiet evenings

Check in was super easy and quick Hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful The room was clean and the ac worked great The pull out bed wasn’t exactly up to par for sleeping The beds were ok on a comfort level, however this is always a hit or miss with hotels, depending upon personal preference on what you prefer The pool was nice being rooftop with the glass roof and opening to the outside It was perfect for our daughter to enjoy The chairs and beach towels being available was nice, as we didn’t have to track extra sand home The layout of the hotel is neat, with having an open feeling on each floor We couldn’t of had a better experience

Meredith Harvill

We really enjoyed our stay at Brighton Suites Hotel The room was cozy for our family of 3 and you cannot beat the location The walls were a little thin while we watched TV in the front room, but it didn’t bother our family when we were sleeping in the bedroom

The staff were all very friendly and the maids were very quick to make the beds while we went to breakfast I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again Also, they had the best hotel shampoo/conditioner I have ever used, which may not matter to most people, but it matters to me because my hair didn’t feel like hay after washing it We also thought the beds were comfortable

Nadine Grabania

We have been coming to Rehoboth for 30 years because it is by far our favorite town among East Coast beach towns Very happy to find Brighton Suites for a much needed getaway in early April The location in the center of town was perfect for walks at any time of day, and our 3rd floor room had a huge sliding window offering an appealing view of town, trees, and a glimpse of ocean just down the street

The suite layout with separate sitting room/kitchenette takes this experience one step up from a typical hotel room The rooftop deck was undergoing maintenance for the start of season, but would be an ideal place to relax when the weather is fine Hope to make this a go-to place for future visits–thank you for a great stay!

Have stayed here twice before, and am have a room reserved again this summer The only place I will stay in Rehoboth Rooms are always clean

Staff is friendly and very accommodating I requested more pillows and towels from housekeeping while I went out for the day, came back to both of those requests fulfilled The price is always the best in the area for what you’re getting

Albert Blevins

Scott was wonderful and accommodating when I called to make a reservation Location was close to everything Room was nice

Felt safe at night with a well lit parking lot and we stayed in the section that had room doors inside and has a lobby door that was locked from 6pm to 8am Price was great We stayed during the “off” season at the beginning of March The building looks great, clean and well maintainedThey were doing some maintenance and remodeling and getting ready for the upcoming season Will stay here again during our next trip

Brianna Buda

I spent two nights here with my dad One on race weekend, and an extra night for the rain out In total a 2 day stay

We love the anchorage! The woman at the front desk is nice & helpful, they offer complimentary coffee & tea in the mornings The Anchorage is located on coastal 1 so the highway can be loud, plus on race weekend, people are enjoying themselves and being a bit loud Bring ear plugs! The rooms were clean, and they had shampoo & soap samples in the bathroom for your convenience We love to weigh anchor here!

What a great hotel & great staff all day everyday of our stay! Everything was clean, bottles of water, cookies & apples were complimentary all dayThe room has every thing you may need to enhance your stay The only thing that didn’t work was the toaster

I requested another one & it was promptly brought up to the room, however, it produced too much smoke to be used in a hotel room right under the sprinkler, lolThank you to everyone on duty 4/5 – 4/7 front desk, housekeeping & maintenance!

Jonathan Tello

About a 10 min drive to the beach which we loved Rooms are very clean and cute the hotel had a great selection for breakfast overall we enjoyed the stay The reason I dnt give it 5 stars is because our refrigerator was not working so I could not keep my beverages cold

And also the mattress was not the best the size was good but it was not comfortable Digital check in was a plus

glenn sachetta

The hotel it’s self was awesome Came down to Spread my mothers ashes with my sister Everything was perfect

As we thought, I was double charged, i called the front desk to have it resolved Ms Bobbie was absolute nightmare she was nasty from the beginning to end She clearly doesn’t know how to speak to a customer The issue was that Hilton had double charged, claiming that they hadn’t got the funds from bookingcom, so that allowed them to charge my other card without authorization She constantly cut me off, talked down to me, threaten that her manager was right there ( which i cant believe the manager allowed her to speak to a customer like that ) and hung up the phone on me after i simply asked her did it get refunded? In the end, i received a call left me know that I am getting refund from Hilton it was a mess and honestly embarrassing for the company to have an employee like that representing them I filed a compliment with Hilton & Booking I truly hope this a learning experience for Ms Bobbie

The hotel sits behind another business so I passed it coming in Looks better online & Price doesn’t match the accommodations to me Breakfast is continental, rooms are small, pool area is small & the gym is just a treadmill & an elliptical

To me the price should be maybe $200 a night (for holiday prices) instead of the $365 I paid per nightThought when I booked a suite I would have a small studio apartment feel but it’s just a regular room with a table, a microwave & a mini fridge for some razzle dazzleLoved the front desk staff & the location is good 3-5 miles from the major attractions of the area Also kind of like that the housekeeping is by request instead of someone just coming in your room

Tareen C

Location great and rooms were pretty clean

BUT the bed was rock hard Extremely uncomfortable Especially for a hotel called Sleep Inn Woke up at my 5am and started packing Couldn’t extend my reservation Not with so many quality hotels in the area on the same stripYes!! the bed made it a horrible experience!Complained to the manager She went to check it and says “its bouncy” Will never return Since when do rocks bounce? Then tried to convince me it was most likely due to me having MS Despite have a friend with me vouching it was similar to sleeping on the floorBaffled at the level of ignorance and lack of empathyI had to leave the premises to avoid reciprocating the energy I was receiving!!

Mallory Short

First of all

if you’re going to give this place only 3 or 4 stars because they aren’t cleaning up after you every day or making your bed, then you’re ignorant! Everything and everyone about this place is so great! Not only are they so friendly, but they literally take time out of their day to ask how our stay is going, if we need anything or even recommendations for food places They are so kind to my son It feels like home when you come in here They recommended a perfect beach for my little 15 month old explorer He was terrified of the ocean the first day We went to Lewes beach, and he went into the water up to his waist Would have never gone if it wasn’t for the lady at the front desk The kiddy pool, the people that are staying, EVERYTHING! Down to the cleaning staff and breakfast gal Judy was such a pleasant worker She will make you be okay with a morning person around haha I will recommend this place to everyone and anyone If you’re complaining about room size then get a suite We had more than enough room and not to mention the bathroom actually smelt clean!!! I didn’t have to wipe stuff down when I came in I stayed in a 4 star hotel a couple weeks ago and it was the worst And the staff were just so miserable This place from what I see is a 2 start hotel which should be 10 stars because THEY ARE TOO AMAZING NOT TO BE! Thank you for having an amazing hotel for my little family to be at! We will be back!

Horrible service, poor quality rooms The rooms were damp The beds were extremely uncomfortable

My wife and I could barely sleepThe pillows were half the size of a normal pillow The tv had no signal The hallways reeked of weed When I asked multiple times for a blanket for the bed due to sub-par sheets and blankets on the bed originally, I was told no that they didn’t have one So a whole hotel doesn’t apparently have a single blanket The staff was rude when I asked as well I can’t believe I spent 1,000 dollars for 3 nights for this place I’ll make sure every other website they’re on gets the same review

Average at best hotel Not worth the expensive price in the summer Walls were paper thin so you can hear everything in the hallways and the rooms next door

Our hairdryer in the room did not work so we called the front desk to ask for a replacement and they did absolutely nothing about it, and basically said “sorry, we don’t have an another” You cannot advertise online that we would have a working hairdryer in the room if it does not work and you have no solution to fix it Towels were small and scratchy Would recommend staying somewhere else if you are staying in Dewey Beach

Nice hotel The only complaint is the bathrooms are small They replaced the old continental breakfast with warm breakfast options which you pick from and they have it ready at the time specified

I would like to see the pop-tarts, mini- donuts ,etc for those who just want a snack type breakfast They do have muffins, bagels and a waffle maker The staff is super friendly and helpful Parking lot is tight Easy access to the beach Our family has been coming to this hotel for a week in the summer for 30+ years

First time to the Delaware beaches and we absolutely loved our stay at the Atlantic View!! Perfect for kids with pool and right on the beach with direct access Loved that they had complimentary beach chairs, breakfast, and cookies each night Staff was amazing and very friendly/helpful

Rooms are clean – the bathrooms are small but other than that it was the perfect spot!

Kristy Leppla

We really enjoyed our stay The place is clean, staff is friendly We loved the breakfast and the cookies in the evening

Wine and cheese offered every night and can’t beat the location, steps away from the beach The pool is a little small and we could hear people walking around in the room above us late at night Those are the only two complaints They even gave both of my girls balloons for their birthday We will be back!

KIMBERLY FRIEND

Came here last weekend with my boyfriend while he was working only stayed a few hours Everything was very clean the front desk made recommendations for food which was nice since I was not from the area VERY quiet which I am sure everyone would appreciate

Doors are a little heavy, so they slam when you open and close them going in and out of your room

Nandita Lopez

Hotel was minimal You need to request housekeeping service as they are not cleaning rooms if you are staying more than one night Also do state the type of room, I was given an accessible room at check-in without being asked if I was okay with it (No they were not sold out)

We were a family of three with a small kid This hotel is also quite far away from the beaches so be prepared for a ride

Hotel advertises as accommodations for Sports at the Beach I would not recommend booking this hotel for a team attending Sports at the Beach The hotel is close to the complex but is not set up to deal with a team of children

Besides the pool, there is no where for kids to congregate in the evening Pool closes too early Some staff members were very accommodating and understanding, others were rigid and rude I understand that it is not easy to take on a team of 11 year old boys, but you advertise for it so figure it out Maybe a game room?? Horribly overpriced for the area No cleaning service, no clean towels Garbage bins in hallway fill up quickly and are not routinely changed Do your self a favor and find another location even if it means driving a little farther

Loved our room here! The owners went above and beyond to make it feel homey and more than welcoming It was right in the middle of all of the entertainment, which was amazing! Especially because we’re tourists and had no problem entertaining ourselves simply based off of the location We’re already planning a summer trip back to Rehoboth and will be staying here again

Thank you!

This is a 5 star rating on a 2 star hotel If you keep that in mind you won’t be disappointed This was our first time staying here as our usual choice was fully booked

We only stayed 1 night for a quick trip just to get in some beach time The room, standard king on the 3rd floor, was clean, the hotel staff were friendly and the location can’t be beat being 2 blocks from the beach There is a mention of a beach shuttle however it wasn’t running the day we were there There is a free hot breakfast, croissants, scrambled eggs and bacon, plus boxed cereal and packaged danish served in a clean brightly lit dining area We would stay here again for quick trips

Angie

This place is awful Paper thin walls, rude staff Even the Starbucks coffee that they have that they make a big deal of was terrible

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhereWe booked this hotel for a weekend couples trip Terrible experience We were given a room at the end of a long dirty walkway, underneath a stairwell There was trash all over the entrance way to our room There was a construction dumpster in front of our room and construction trash being thrown from the floor above us into the dumpster There was trash all over the parking lot in front of our room too We walked in the room and the room was extremely noisy due to the extremely thin walls We could hear people going up and down the stairs and the noise from the construction workers ( not blaming the construction workers, they were just doing their job) My husband walked to the front office and explained the noise and dirt issues and asked for a different room, even offering to take a smaller room The front desk woman was extremely rude First she said the construction workers were not “that noisy” Then she said they were all booked up and had no other rooms available Then she said that since we had gone into the room that we had contaminated the room so we could not switch rooms Then the manager came out and said if he did not like the room then she would refund the money and “you can just go home then” Once he told me how rude she was and what she had said, I called around and found us a room elsewhere When we went to the front desk to tell them we were leaving, they did not want to refund us After they had just told my husband they would Absolute clowns Finally they refunded us Silver lining is we ended up at a nicer hotel in a 2 room suite, 2 blocks closer to the oceanfront

This place was a nice hotel, but there are a lot of cons to go along with itFirst the pros:The beds are very comfortable and we had no trouble getting a good nights sleep in themThey offer complimentary breakfast and it is very good

The chef works very hard and he was there every day of our stay He was very nice and friendly and always made sure everything was stockedThe hotel also let us check in early as we arrived about an hour ahead of schedule The rooms are clean and quietFinally, it’s within reasonable walking distance to the beach and boardwalk Takes about 15 minutes to walk thereFor the cons:Their parking is absolutely terrible The parking garage is very compact and if you bring a pickup you have no chance of finding parking in their garageThey also don’t enforce their parking permits and have a limited number of spots I had to park on the street one night because all spaces were full When asked if there were enough spots for each room, they said yes I then told them that there wasn’t any spots available and they said that they would have to go and find who doesn’t have their permit displayed and check license plates They didn’t want to do this and advised me to park on the street for the night Which was fine, but really?! I paid $1700 for a week here, I expect a parking spotThe price leads me to the next con They do not offer room service You have to put your towels and trash outside the door and then go down to the front desk and ask for replacement bags/towels Not that big of deal, but this isn’t included for $1700 a week?!!! Really?Additionally, they charge you a $150 PER NIGHT “resort fee” 🙄 Guess they aren’t happy enough with $1700Also, their TVs are terrible Poor picture quality and small (32”) While the point of vacation isn’t to watch TV, it’s nice to watch when going to bed again for 1700 per guest per week at least upgrade your TVsI would probably not stay here again unless we got a much better rate Again, it’s a nice hotel, but there are a lot of annoyances that come along with it
