I have been a guest at the Wedgewood many times years ago & I have always been very pleased with the cleanliness & comfort of the rooms Reasonable prices Cable tv, hot showers, good heat & working cold a/c, mini fridge, microwave, quiet, comfortable rooms perfect for singles, couples & families

Parking right outside of rooms Owners are just wonderful, such friendly & courteous people, Stan & Jen If you ever need anything, simply let them know & they’ll do their very best to accommodate you! This motel does get very busy during the Sturbridge Flea Market Conveniently located in Palmer, not far from the Mass Pike Also close to Brimfield, Sturbridge & Monson

Christine and Joanne are super friendly at the front desk The hotel is clean and quiet and has on site parking They have limited staff post covid, but you wouldn’t know it from the upkeep of the hotel

They offered complimentary coffee since the bistro was closed, due to lack of help I wish more Courtyards did this The room was quiet and nobody was slamming doors or making a lot of noise Overall, the staff at this hotel does a great job

I usually don’t write this long of a review, but in this case I felt it was very necessary This was not my best stay at a Marriott property When I arrived and got my keys I had to come back down and have them rekeyed because when I got to the room they didn’t work

There was also no digital key which could have alleviated some of this They were curtesy’s enough to ask if I wanted my room service during my 3-night stay and I said “No” but they were gracious enough to provide service anyway by making the beds and taking out the trash and leaving all the dirty towels The breakfast was laughable but the lobby area was nice, inviting and had TVs everywhere which was definitely better than the one I had in my room in which the service kept messing up Very annoying The beds were comfortable and the shower had great pressure and hot water The room though dated was comfortable and the wifi worked well It was definitely different than what I was used too The laundry area needed a little TLC because it was a little dirty, but the washer and dryers worked very well It is also where I found that my keys didn’t work again even though I kept them in a sleeve and away from my cell phone So it was back down to the front office to get them rekeyed, again I was also shorted a quarter in the $10 roll the hotel provided me which though a small mistake, it was inconvenient and was very indicative of my stay there Lastly, I would say the best thing this hotel had going for it was location Though in a very small town it was on the main drag so everything you needed was within very close proximity of the hotel Unfortunately, my son and I were glad to depart No other facilities were used during the stay (ie the gym, pool or business area)

Room was nice and clean! Only disappointment was the website showed the pool as an amenity and when we arrived staff said it’s been out of order for sometime Kids were looking forward to that Also, you can’t serve yourself breakfast

They still have everything blocked off and you get served by the hotel staff 2 small pieces of bacon and a little scoop of eggs That was also disappointing Ended up going to Dunkin for breakfast Corporate should lift the Covid restrictions Your competitors across the street has it together…no restrictions and open pool!

We’ve been meaning to stay here for quite a period of time and finally had a chance to I really enjoyed the location it allowed us to walk down to the restaurant They were undergoing some renovations at the time but there was no real problems

They’re check in process is interesting I’d say experience it yourself by stopping at this location and spending an evening Not exactly inexpensive but not the most expensive hotel I’ve ever stayed at

If you are looking for a Superb Experience visit this wonderful hidden gem of a location!! Our family spent Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the Day after Christmas at the Inn and had a magical holiday weekend It was truly better than a Hallmark movie experience down to the family photo while standing at the front steps in our matching Christmas PJs!!! people honked while driving by we all looked so darn cute My six year old loved the train theme and melted our heart strings when he pointed to his head with a big smile on his face and said “Joy” he was having a joyful moment and felt the moment was going down as a core memory!!! (Huge Disney Inside Out Fan, Autism) We did not lug all the presents and were very happy Walmart was close enough to buy a few last minute things, CVS was close by too which was very convenient

The place is super clean and charming, the beds are very comfortable and the mini fridge was stocked with plenty of Tropicana OJ, Chobani Yogurts, bottled water, the muffins are freshly baked, so delicious and complimentary! We had our holiday meals in the train cart next to the restaurant, the restaurant was closed for the holiday but we rented out train cart and had Boston Market catering from Boston Road 13 minutes away and Tangs Chinese Food made party trays for us Before departing we enjoyed our farewell lunch at the beautiful restaurant We loved the adult mac and cheese and the house bread pudding which is not something I would ordinarily order but wow what a treat! If I could rate this place more 10 stars I truly would Thank you to the owners for taking such good care of this place it is our second visit but certainly not our last! We were already making plans to come back in town for the Big E if our schedules permit and Covid takes a chill pill

Chris Hall

Fans of the classic American rustic B&B will not be disappointed by this former RR stop (and home if an actual trainmaster many moons ago) Tastefully maintained and decorated with low key 19th century elegance Perfect for parents and family of Amherst/Northampton area college students who are in town for a visit

A bit off the beaten path but well worth the extra drive to/from the inn

We stayed here for our wedding and it was perfect! The rooms are very clean and staff is very friendly We also had our guests stay here with us as well and we only heard good things from everyone! Parlin was helpful with setting up the room block ahead of time All front desk staff and bartenders were more than accommodating!! We had the after party at the hotel in the bar as well and it was perfect! Overall, a perfect place to stay, and very affordable

Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Our stay was so pleasant! We were here with a large group of high school choir kids for a competition tour and sometimes there can be difficult issues, but everything at the hotel was so easy and pleasant! (And our kids were Grand Champions!!) Emily at the front desk was familiar with the choir competition and was so helpful and solicitous with some problems we had She was so thoughtful to go out of her way to help! The whole breakfast crew was amazing to tackle such a large group of anxious teens trying to grab a quick healthy breakfast before competition! They were able to keep breakfast stocked so nobody even missed a beat!

Kevin Campbell

Stayed 1 night after a wedding Got an upgrade due to an unavailability of other room types to a suite Room was clean and spacious

Included a ‘fireplace’ heater which was nice Better in winter I suppose, but in summer it was just something to look at The window was looking over the outdoor pool, which meant the shades stayed shut due to the room being on ground levelWater pressure in the shower was dismal We had to set the shower head to its maximum settings to get a meaningful shower out of itAlso the bathroom door did not latch The strike plate didn’t line up at allThere was supposed to be a breakfast of some kind but it wasn’t advertised well I didn’t see any signs mentioning what times it was available Either i missed it or it wasn’t served, hard to tellOtherwise fine Bed was comfortable Can’t ask for much more Good access to local shops

My wait server, Rob was OUTSTANDING! Very friendly, helpful, attentive and personable!!! One can sense when you really enjoy their job, and Rob does Everyone at the Publick House restaurant was very kind and courteous My meal was exceptional and highly recommended by Rob

I had 1/2 roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans The sticky bun served before my dinner was scrumptious I had the bread pudding for dessert It was yummy Worth the extra calories!

Lizette Castaneda

The rooms were not clean and are quite old They need to remodel the rooms Our room had two beds and one of those beds was completely broken

The frame was off and the bed would tilt to the side The broken bed also had stains on it There were crumbs on the floor when we first enteredNo fridge, no microwave Not somewhere I would stay again

Nicole Owen

We just had our wedding here and it was perfect, the staff from my sales coordinator (Diana) absolutely a pleasure to work with, to the banquet team (Jon and Paige) the day of Everyone went above a beyond for us, the food was good, and they absolutely maintain the ground so beautifully They are affordable and work with you to cut down costs

I had a post breakfast the next day and my family loved getting together one last time before saying goodbye! They made sure I had drinks on deck and gluten free options for me and addresses all dietary concerns for my guests! My only critique was the motor lodge rooms were pretty dated, and our bridal suite had some issues with the fridge being cold and the water going on and off randomly in the shower The staff quickly addressed this for us and sent someone right away! It was so beautiful thank you Publick House!

We had an excellent overnight stay at this beautiful Victorian mansion If you are at all interested in interior design, architecture, Victoriana, Art Nouveau, etc this place will be heaven for you

All the rooms are decorated with faithful reproductions of their original stunning wallpapers The hosts (human and feline) are gracious and welcoming The place feels clean, warm, and comfortable, like staying at Grandma’s (if you have a posh grandma) We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at Allen House bed and breakfast this past weekend This place is amazing It is immersed in history and the care takers Mr

Allen and his wife Mrs Anne are wonderful folks My wife grew up in Mass and to stay here was a walk down memory lane The room we stayed in, the ” peach room” was fully loaded for what we needed It was quiet and we got great sleep Mrs Anne makes awesome breakfast, my favorite are the omelets We look forward to our next stay at this amazing location

Brielle Kardos

The owners of this inn and phenomenal They offer free breakfast right down the street, gave us a map of the local area, told us about their favorite things to do, and they have the cutest hypo-allergenic rag doll cats The traditional Victorian home is beautiful and very well maintained

We had our own room with no disturbances and our own room key If we are ever back in the area we will stay here again! It’s the happiest place my husband and I have ever stayed The place was quiet, the house was beautiful, the owners were helpful!

I love this hotel! It’s conveniently located, and there is ample parkingIt is impeccably clean and I appreciate that the facility is entirely non-smokingCheck-in went super-fast, and staff is engaged, polite, and genuinely helpful

My room feels spacious The bed is comfortable The shower has decent water pressure and there was plenty of hot water The room and the hotel overall are quiet, and there’s not much noise from the parking lot area There is a bit of noise from traffic on the turnpike but I can only hear with the window open, and even then it’s barely noticeableThe air conditioner silently pushes out cold air even with the fan on high, the fridge also runs very quietly All the appliances in my room are in nearly new, great conditionI would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again

Plain Jane HIE Clean rooms and halls Comfortable beds

Quiet Small but nice pool Very little service No coffee or tea out beyond breakfast Breakfast really ends an hour before it’s supposed to They start shutting things off at 9am If something runs our nor replaced unless you make a stink The staff watches you like a hawk instead of cleaning or refilling things Makes you feel like you are being watched and rushed No store or place to get anything beyond vending machines Only one ice machine in the whole hotel

andrea green

If you’re black and stay here please be cautious because they(the manager and some of the staff) really don’t want you there You’re black/African American presence is an issue for them and all it takes is for one white guest to complain about you before they ensure they go out of their way to call the police or do something to tarnish your character They will smile in your face but will quickly do something shady behind your back and laugh in your face as their doing it

We had a wonderful small (fewer than 20 people) wedding in the library and greenhouse room at the Inn on Boltwood! Catherine and her team did a great job on a short timeline They were very helpful, accommodating, and made our event low-pressure which was important to us The location was a beautiful backdrop for photos

They were very professional and organized and everything ran smoothly!

Amro Q

We booked the cheapest room at $250/nt plus taxes we were assigned room 310 on the top floor with low sloped ceilings and barely 3 feet around a double mattress The bathroom was the size of a crawl space with awkward access to towels

We asked for a larger room and were denied We asked for late checkout and were offered a 30 minute grace period No breakfast It’s hard to justify the cost

William B

Great place in every way and a wonderful traditional New England experience However, a small number of fellow guests were complaining endlessly about the silliest little things Very irritating

Next time they’re in the area they instead should consider staying at the Motel 6 in Chicopee and eating at Denny’s It’s also much easier access from Chicopee to the Springfield casinos, Six Flags, and the Basketball Hall of Fame
