Great hotel! Comfortable beds Good AC Clean room

Great breakfast with tons of options The bacon was in a puddle of grease and oil though, which was unappealing Great lobby and pool area for a good price 35 minutes to the ocean though, so not the best if thats your destination Good customer service and accommodated a very late checkout (1pm) which our family really appreciated

Chris Bennett

Having read a lot of the reviews prior to my stay, I would say taken on the whole it describes the experience well Friendly staff overwhelmed by a broken down property This hotel is desperately ready for a makeover

We encountered broken equipment upon entering our room and things broke as we used them They provide a beautiful new ice bucket but do not provide cups or glasses within which to put that ice Even the ice maker needed maintenance! Please guys Do something!

ZeeTheGoddess

Let me 1st start by saying I was not a guest here but I will never be a guest here if this is how they treat people with their customer service we had a family emergency my husband stopped in to use the telephone and was informed he is not able to use the phone or get any assistance or help because he is not a guest if this is how you treat people as a customer then I will never be a guest with you and I will never refer people to your hotel It takes nothing to empathize with a person or simply just being nice wow This is definitely the worst Hilton I’ve ever encountered please be aware of the terrible customer service you will get here

We really loved our stay here It’s right outside of the town center but still very, very quietWe stay in Shady Lady, and it was really nice; quaint and very comfortable with all the necessary amenities

Sitting in the wood fired cedar hot tub on the balcony while snow was falling was wonderful as wellWe fed the llamas and goats each day and it was a really fun experienceChris is a really great host, attentive and focused on making your stay comfortable

We literally had the best sleep of our lives! This place is a great getaway from the everyday and gives you a lot of areas to relax with your loved ones Close to downtown Julian so you can enjoy the shops and restaurants The community room was great place to hang out and meet others including the owner who was very friendly and you can tell he cared about everyone having a great time

We will definitely be back!

Melina Rissone

Went to this quaint hotel in the country by Julian in the mountains of San Diego County to get away for 2 nights I found hummingbirds, lot’s of wildlife, deer’s, wild hens and bees humming The hotel had goats and even 2 lamas

The slowing in pace for even a few hours supported me gaining clarity and focus The room was clean and comfortable I had my own outdoor patio area which was nice Every room has it’s own theme Most rooms have a jacuzzi either indoor or outdoor Plenty of other areas to hang out at around the property Easy neighborhood walks all around Enjoy your special trip to Julian at the Wikiup Hummingbird hotel

We loved our stay at the Julian Inn! I met my boyfriend in Julian during his first stop on the PCT and we decided to stay at the Julian Inn because of the reviews and they offer discounts to PCT hikers They also allowed him to do his laundry for free of charge! We ended up staying another night because we loved our room so much! The owner even allowed my dog to come which is great because he is a senior and very hard to leave at home The Inn seems to be a converted house that has 5 rooms for people to stay at

Our room had a very comfortable bed, couch, desk, mini fridge, microwave, TV, and bathroom The view in the bathroom was gorgeous because it outlooked the wilderness We also loved the location because it was just 5 minutes walking outside of town which gave us a secluded vibe With Covid we were the only people staying there so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! This place really made our stay in Julian so magical and we cannot wait to go back!

Cade Huninghake

My stay at the Inn was fantastic The check-in was easy (up front it tells you your room number, and the door is unlocked with the key inside) there is no staff on site, so if you do have issues it could be a problem The only complaint was the room was small and packed with lots of useless stuff

Maybe it was for the ambience but it made the room even smaller taking up space The bed was comfy, the satellite TV was nice and the bathroom was a decent size It is in walking distance of the main Street in Julian and id stay again if I go back to Julian

We had the most wonderful stay!! The hospitality was truly amazing and the property is gorgeous It truly felt like we were right at home Favorites included the beautiful deck (great for stargazing!), the dogs, and the breakfast

COME HUNGRY — Jim cooks an amazing breakfast and you can expect a few surprise sweet treats to make appearances during your stay Conveniently located just a few steps off the main drag, it was the perfect home base for the weekend

Janice Y

A bed and breakfast in Julian with parking, a short walk to main Street AND an opportunity to pet adorable golden retrievers?! For a relaxing weekend in Julian these were some things we considered when picking a place The owners were very nice and when we arrived 2 dogs greeted us! The location has 4 rooms and we stayed in the autumn room which has its own separate entrance and private patio Besides the dogs you may be greeted by friendly cats

Breakfast in the morning was family style and you can mingle with other groups staying there and hang out with the doggies Breakfast had a variety of things to eat which varied from homemade pancakes to individual egg dishes If you have a diet request (someone was gluten free) they will also accommodate for this Overall had a nice stay and would recommend to anyone spending a few days in this town

Patti M

My mother and I went there for Labor Day weekend and can’t say enough about our experience at this beautiful B&B  Upon our arrival we were greeted by Jim and 2 of their golden retrievers  The 3 of them made us feel right at home from the beginning

We stayed in the summer room which was cute and comfy  Actually all of the rooms are beautifully decorated and inviting  We met Julie and the rest of the gang at breakfast the next morning, and the warm welcome just continuedBreakfast was amazing every single morning  This was no continental breakfast I can assure you  It was hearty, tasty, delicious  and soooo filling  The juice was fresh squeezed, pancakes were made from scratch, fruit was local and the company (our hosts and guests) was wonderful Oh and I almost forgot to mention the daily deserts that are included in this experience Just plan on leaving a few pounds heavier because they are irresistible  That’s all I’m saying 😄  I HIGHLY recommend Eaglenest Bed and Breakfast for your stay in Julian  You will not be disappointedI have to add a personal note to this review  Jim and Julie were such incredible people that went far beyond what I could have expected  My 88 year old mom’s vertigo acted up and it limited her ability to join us for 2 mornings  Julie brought her favorite tea to the room one morning and Jim was nice enough to bring her breakfast the 2nd morning which mom LOVED!  They did not have to do that and I really appreciated it more than I can say  Jim’s breakfast gave her energy so mom was able to play tourist again that afternoon! What more could I ask for?!?!  I feel so lucky to have met them both

Tucker Peak Lodge will be one of those places people will either love or hate It’s nestled up on a hill with surrounding trees and has a large expansive deck with chairs to enjoy the outdoor air The lodge appears to have been a large house at one time, that possibly served as a B&B, but now it is a lodge

Depending on our background, you could find this as an enchanting getaway with romantic quaint rooms A young couple might find Tucker Peak very charming and exciting The price to stay overnight, is pretty competitive for the area An order couple, might perhaps see the world differently with all their experience and instead pay attention to everything imperfect A board out of place, smaller rooms, etcI stayed overnight and overall I enjoyed my stay I thought it was a fun one night experience, away from everythingDriving up the somewhat private road to Tucker Peak Lodge, it is easy to pass the sharp left turn (I did and backed up a bit) A sharp incline winds up to the driveway in front of the Lodge I honestly was a bit confused about the parking situation There was a truck parked backwards in the driveway I stopped, examined the area and came to the conclusion that indeed the other spot on the drive way was marked “2” and was guest parking I backed into that spot on the top of the driveway After getting out I could barely make out the head in parking spaces a little lower down the driveway It looked like another 3 or 4, but I think the guest parking needs signs and more thicker white lines indicating where to parkWalking up past the driveway, I noticed a sign that said “guest check in” I following the sign direction and noticed a door open at the top of some steps I was embarrassed to find that the maid services was attending to one of the rooms and they directed my further down to the main Living Room where the “check in ” was locatedI expected a person to be there, but looking up at the wall in the entrance was a sign that was titled “Self-Check In” No one else was there, so I signed the guestbook and found my name with a key hanging on the wall in front of the short desk I guess it was easy enough, but again the process didn’t seem clear to me eitherWalking into the “Rosewood” room, we found it to be very charming Everything was arranged nicely The shower and bathroom were clean and looked to have been recently remodeled The plank flooring made it perfect for our stay with our little 6 lb Yorkie I felt a bit claustrophobic at times, but that’s probably me The bathroom had swinging saloon style doors that made me a bit uncomfortable and self-conscious when using the bathroom As I said early, a younger couple could find this really fun It just wasn’t my thing I guessThe room had a nice small refrigerator and was stocked with K-cups to make coffee along with the amenities There were also more in the main kitchen If you like to make your own meals, the place has a pretty nice common kitchen area for preparing your foodThe common Living Room had a beautiful staircase and stone fireplace Big large comfortable furniture was available for your leisure Some of the rooms were located inside the main house on the second floor above the Living Room If you like a lot of privacy these rooms might not be your thingI found Tucker Peak Lodge to be the imperfect fun getaway experience I did enjoy my stay and was glad I visited

Andreas “Aris” Aristidou

This place has its ups and downs Great views and very cute premises overall The checkin process was not great since there was no one to check us in so we had to ask the other guests how to go about it

We called 5-6 times and never got a response back The room was relatively ok but some of the curtains are see-through so don’t expect any sleep after 6/7 am

This is a very elegant yet tired and dated facility The rooms are spacious yet the finishes need immediate updating The staff were friendly and helpful

Unfortunately they might have been misinformed about renovations We were told that we will be at the newly renovated garden rooms, but nothing looked renovated except maybe a new wall socket with usb outletThe patio overlooking the fairway green is beautiful The drinks were good We also attended a wedding and that was in a beautiful setting

Alice Ettinger

This is a beautiful setting with magnificent gardens, golf course, and pools The rooms are spacious, but are in need of updating Air conditioning is in desperate need of replacement

According to staff, renovations will begin in May Maid service left much to be desired, although when they finally arrived, they did a nice jobThe desk and bell service were more than accommodating and most pleasant and always cheerful

Lou Webb

As a “local” we would visit once or twice a month to enjoy happy hour on the patio Decent menu and discount, fantastic location and views The staff was also first rate

Then out of nowhere, some brain surgeon, decided that happy hour was only allowed inside The thought that it would be better to have a patio full of empty tables instead of a 3/4 full is some next level math Guess we won’t be visiting for a while

I recommend staying at the Apple Tree Inn on you next visit to Julian! The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the A/C worked great Easy check-in, you’ll receive a text message with the code to access your room key I also liked that the managers number is included in the text, a big plus just in case you need assistance or have questions! Within walking distance you have food, drinks and music! Have fun 🙂

I only write these to help not to harm First the good Front room and TV and appearance good

Beds were okay Could use a microwave The only other not so good things were the bathroom and mostly visual Tub needs re-coat new drain and re-caulk tub unsightly, needs re floor in bathroom the details make a difference when your paying top dollar $24500 a night Maybe its a work in progress

Nice quiet Resort Resort Our two bed apartment was well equipped very clean and quite large

We also had an electric BBQ on the patio Two very large bedrooms with a family bathroom and one en-suite A short drive to San Diego but a great place for exploring This resort does stand out even though there may not be the same level of facilities that larger resorts have The staff are pleasant friendly and very helpful

Saharrah Santiago

I am here with my family trying to enjoy the holiday with my children My suite is infested with ants I have reported this issue 3xs

I recorded a video, because it’s like 20, 30 ants There was hair in the tub and on the toilet seat I took pics The front desk staff is rude and dismissive to me They have not offered to change my suite, and I’m very disappointed in my stay here 😔Update: The manager, Chris, is unbelievable He told me to put Windex on the ants, and left a bottle of Windex outside of my suite The front desk agents, DJ and Sienna, were very unprofessional towards me when I checked in I contacted the agent that booked this suite for me (who has incredible customer service skills) they tried to resolve the issue with this room We are still waiting to change rooms It has been over 4 hours DJ told me that the AC is out in the other suite that they were going to change my family and I into I am pregnant and high risk and this is highly unacceptable Everyone does not receive the same level of customer service here

Our stay was nice The staff was excellent Our room had some items that did not work

Also, they came within an hour to fix one issue When I mentioned them at checkout they compensated us with free parking, plus $50 off our rate Location was wonderful to Poway and San Diego downtown The bed was very comfy All my special requests were accepted and completed for us Thank you to all the staff

Christopher Johnson

Fernando at the front desk is a “five star man” as Dennis Reynolds would say The Courtyard is what it is, a standard 3 star hotel, it needs some love here and and there and is a place to sleep with the essentials but far from luxurious It’s fine

We were sent here by another hotel that overbooked us and there was a lot of drama that went into that so I won’t hold them accountable for any of that But because of that I arrived at 1am with lots of road weariness, frustration and zero patience I tried to not take it out on the staff but I still probably wasn’t the most pleasant person to deal with in the middle of the night But Fernando was more than understanding, maintained a positive attitude and took care of us I really appreciate all his support and because of him I’d give the whole experience 5 stars Marriott, give this man a raise

Trev Econ

Unique, you get a sense they are doing their best however some staff seem totally oblivious Some of the staff are also exceptionalOne thing is clear the rooms need serious updating especially the toilets and bathrooms are not where they should be

Otherwise if you must go, do pay close attention then leave

I have never been up here although I am a San Diego native Went up with a group of friends and really enjoyed ourselves! The rooms were really really nice, and the pool was calm on the adults only side of the willows resortAll the bartenders in the casino were extremely friendly and we also ate at The upscale restaurant inside

I’ll review that separately Will definitely go back!

Sam Barboo

We have been several times for day visits and also stayed overnight in the hotel once All Casino staff have been pleasant and friendly Hotel staff were likewise professional and courteous

The lines/wait times for the restaurants are a bit long but the food and service are fine Of the casinos in southern San Diego I enjoy it the most The outlet mall is, however, underwhelming as far as outlets go All in all, if you are looking to have a fun time handing your money over to a casino (because, let’s be honest, almost everyone loses more than they ever win), then this is a recommended place to do exactly that with a smile

Alondra Gonzalez

Oh my goodness! I stayed three nights here & I had the most amazing stay! I had lost my Louis Vuitton bracelet on Saturday and found out when I got home Sunday I called and filled out a form on their website and they found it the next day & was able to pick up with no problem (also has shipping arrangements) The hospitality was amazing and the food was so good! The pool was refreshing

I highly recommend staying here

For the money, I don’t believe you’ll find a better place to stay The rooms have everything you need They are super clean, smell nice, well kept and attractive

Everything works The fridge is large Water pressure is stunning good! The bed is huge and comfortable as well For the small size rooms, they are nonetheless packed with all the basics without feeling cramped The woman who checked me is was very nice too! All around very very good service I recommend this place to stay Most times at this price I don’t But this Motel is a real exception If you need an affordable place to stay mostly just to sleep then be on your way, then book You’ll be happy 😊

Stephanie Chukel

This was a gem! My son and I were in San Diego for soccer Most of the team stayed at a brand name hotel for three times the price I booked this one based on reviews and being 7 miles from the team hotel

It did not disappoint The room was clean and updated We had a small table, desk, fridge and microwave King bed was comfortable The pool was available (unlike the expensive team hotel) The day and evening staff were friendly as well There is no breakfast (COVID) so that is where the fridge and microwave came in handy Thank you for providing a great place at a very reasonable price Budget for the win!

Joanne Titanic

My single room was so tiny Everything was clean and neat but minimal Nice to have a microwave and mini-refrigerator

The bed appeared to be okay but I found it too high and uncomfortable Was up most of the night from all the sounds around the room The staff was extremely nice They were the best part of the stay The television was off to the side of the room so had to angle myself in bed to view it The bathroom was directly in front of the bed ( remember TINY ROOM) so they had no choice but to put the TV on the only wall If the room was a bit bigger I would definitely return Hopefully they have bigger rooms elsewhere in the place Oh yeah, bring your own cups Only 2 tiny plastic cups No cup in bathroom A really mixed review Sorry

Hotel overall was nice It seemed well-maintained which was a good first sign when checking My room was clean and quiet

Air conditioning worked great Pool was not too crowded and the hot tub was great Parking is $15 to be in the garage or you can park on the surface lot for free It’s a good central location to the freeway and grocery stores and coffee shops you may want to use when traveling I did not use room service or make any room requests, so I can’t rate those experiences Would stay here again if I’m ever in Poway

I want to educate people of my recent stay at this facility which was like a motel at a truck stop When I made my reservation I should have been informed the facility was being remodeled The vulgar/foul mouth Construction workers who were working on the facility and staying there were frequenting the bar, flirting with the young female bartender who was enjoying the attention, near the dining area where my wife, and I sat trying to have a meal after a long trip

The atmosphere and hotel was unacceptable There was debris, and dust throughout the hallways Hallways and our room smelled of freshly painted doors and rooms which could be affected someone with respiratory issues The only available elevator had nasty and dusty padding blankets hanging within it possibly to protect the interior The hallways had debris and trash in it Our room was not cleaned nor any fresh towels given to us, until I called to ask for some, which came about an hour later I voiced my concerns, and a representative offered me some type of bonus points No thanks I am never staying at a Hilton in the future especially there

We went for a one night stay Saturday through Sunday The room was clean and had a microwave, mini fridge, keureg and hair dryerFor $200/night we got a 3rd story room facing the dumpster because they are remodeling

Less than thrilled with that Also, the restaurant and room service are closed during the remodeling In addition the only elevator you can use is covered in construction blankets that hold all the dirt being ejected during the remodel Not great for anyone with asthma or other respiratory issuesParking is NOT included in your room price It’s an additional $15/night to park your carOverall it seemed to be Hilton prices with a Motel 6 experience
