When I walked into the lobby it looked a little worn, so I immediately felt concerned The desk staff was very nice Our room was fine for us because we didn’t spend much time there

Breakfast was free and offered many options including eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, and fruits as well as many other cold options There is a pool and spa available but we used neither The location was perfect for us and the price was right

Jessica Leary

Travled from 3 hours away got there alittle after 12am the front Desk guy was super nice, got us checked in fast On my way to check out we noticed a peach tree and the grounds keeper came and picked us a few to take on the road my 3 year old was so excited and they were yummy! Definitely recommend this place We will forever stay here

Breakfast was also good beds were comfy, but the bathtub didn’t have a plug so my son was upset he couldn’t take a bath but not a big deal

Cheryl L

Door had huge gap at the bottom which is not safe and also invites bugs into room Towels are thin and too small as are pillows Motion sensor lights are disturbing when going to the bathroom at night

Bathroom fan is too loud Pool was dirty and unappealing, tv guide does not work Breakfast eggs are bad but sausages and waffles ok Needs coffee table in front of sofa Room has strong air freshener smell Do not stay here if you can help it! Ample parking Asked for room to be cleaned at 930 and told we were too late to request despite sign in bathroom saying to request by 11

This hotel is fantastic I love the update retro decor The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable and loved all the pillows to sink into

The staff was really friendly and it is in a great location I loved the water machines and they offer GOOD coffee in the mornings Will definitely stay here again when in the area and look forward to checking out the heated pool as others seemed to be enjoying

1960’s Las Vegas time warp, with a dose of kitschy mixed in That being said this resort atmosphere is not for everyone, especially if you’re looking for a quiet romantic stay When we arrived, there were long lines in the lobby and I felt like I was at a convention

Turned out there were a couple of big events going on that day a memorial service at one end of the building and a loud reunion outside their huge swimming and lounges area We were told the events would end soon, but in reality the reunion party continued on through the night The best part of our stay was at the restaurant Delicious food and service was excellent Somehow it felt separate from all the craziness going on about us A huge pool surrounded by lounge chairs with maximum capacity people sitting on the chairs, as well as splashing in the pool After dinner I asked where the jacuzzi was, and a friendly staff managing towel service directed me past a large Alice in Wonderland gray chair with a flamingo painted on it Unfortunately, the jacuzzi too was at maximum capacity So we opted to head to our room There was no number on the door to our room, which was puzzling to say the least, and we ended up having to walk all the way around the resort to find our way in The room was spartan, like a monk’s cell, and a table but no chairs Bottom line is sadly, this resort was not worth the price we paid

Coco O

The room is not updated 100% They upgraded the bathroom, room partition, bedding linens The doors, wall, baseboard, and carpet were aged

The pool area is nice with 3ft-9th pool Kids enjoyed the pool a lot I waited forever for the server to take my order, but never came Other servers came by and told me a few times that my server will come She never did I ended up going to the bar and ordered coffee to go instead of having a full breakfast No pool towels between 9pm-10pm Pool closes at 10pm so I asked for some towels only to never come Walked back to my room soak and dripping ☹️ I don’t think I’ll be back

While the room was clean and quiet, there is a serious need for renovation From frayed carpets, worn out furniture, water stains, and light switches that don’t work, the room should not have cost over $100 and it cost far more than that Upon arriving, the first sight was an entire side of room balconies that appeared to be repurposed as storage, with mattresses and other furniture filling up every deck

Not a welcoming start for visitors

Jaquelyne Samuelson

I showed up and was told by a woman working there that she would check me in I give her my name, and she asks if I’m sure the reservation was under that one I assured her it was and showed her my email confirmation

She looks at it and claims it didn’t show up in their system; luckily, she said something about giving me the room of someone she’d called repeatedly and gotten no response from, then stated there was an empty room that was likely mine I’m unsure which scenario was true She contacted her boss several times and asked for my phone number three times Had this not happened, it sounds like I would have been left without a place to stayand I honestly wish that had happened instead (I’d also like to note that this lady was very helpful and kind; it wasn’t likely her fault, but it still was not convenient or professional from a business standpoint)I got inside and experienced the following:-A giant wall mirror sitting on the floor-Wi-Fi that does not work-The carpet has enormous grease-looking stains -No flooring under the fridge (covered in dust and dirt)-Cobwebs and debris in the corner-A bathroom fan that did not work-Glitter on the ceilinggets all over everything-Mold on the coffee maker-Small black hairs all over the fitted sheet-Outside of the North-side stairs, there is an enormous pile of artwork and wood from furnitureit looks like stuff people would have dumped in an alleyway or around a dumpster, openly thrown by the stairs-Holes burned into the comforter-Walls/windows were practically pointless, when it came to sound reduction; you can hear EVERYTHING (people “doing it”, kids screaming, traffic, other televisions, toilets, etc)-House-keeping was insistent on having screaming conversations directly outside of the door with the “do not disturb” sign before 9am-Construction in an adjacent unit began at 8am with hammering and power toolsI left with allergies raging and covered in rashes from the unkept room, as well as exhausted from 48 hours of no sleep from the excessive noiseI have provided photos of most of the previous to management via email and on Yelp

We’ve stayed at a lot of “cheap” hotels and this is BY FAR the best! Clean, supportive yet soft beds, fresh sheets, great pool, and excellent customer service from front desk They have a cafe onsite and the breakfast is SO much better than traditional continental plus the service staff was super nice and helpful We’ll definitely be back

David Estes

An incredibly clean roadside motel Staff were helpful at check in Complimentary breakfast is a joke, so don’t look forward to that 🙁 There’s a bit of a weird vibe as they have a lot of long-term guests that are working in the community

Nothing flaky, all construction people rebuilding the town from the fires Just a bunch of people hanging around outside the rooms and smoking But we felt fine and safe the whole time Just not the most family friendly environment

Kimberly Karkov

Clean and nice place I am very happy with my stay here Staff is great

I would like to thank Elie he is a wonderful person he is not only helpful and kind but he is a great customer service person he is amazing I would like to thank Catherine as well she is kind and nice This place rocks I highly recommend it !! This will be my go to place when I come up here 🌈

Clean and friendly! I just stayed there for 6 nights, and it was great The room was small, but had everything I needed, including a refrigerator and microwave There is free breakfast every morning, and the staff is so friendly

The place is spotless and well taken care of I highly recommend this motel Last time I was in Petaluma, I stayed at a much more expensive place, and it was awful It was dirty and they cleaned the rooms every three days Here they will do a great job of cleaning every day Great place to stay and right next to a good restaurant too

Joel Mandel

Three and a half stars is what I want to say, but

It was OK but no more There just wasn’t anything to like about it The pool was clean but uninviting Just a swimming pool next to a parking lot full of cars and trucks Usable but why bother? Poor room design A great air conditioner that blew HARD on anyone sitting at the desk And that was on the low setting The desk and easy chairs were not comfortable No elevator, but I can still manage suitcases up a flight of stairs But the scariest thing was around 11 pm one night someone came down there hall and attempted to open every door And the staff weren’t interested in this when I told them the next day That really turns me off this place! Oh yes, and the free breakfast is cheap carbs No protein Which brings me to the best part of staying here: Cafe Bellini is next door and they send great food We breakfasted there every day and ate dinner most nights as well Cafe Bellini is highly recommended

Diane Bouvia

I love this place but I had a few issuesI won’t post because I already talked to customer relations because I am a Best Western Rewards memberSo everything is good

But I can’t write a good review per day

Pleasant room, with poor view Pleasant, front desk people who let us know that our room would not be entered during our stay Our first evening, we realized the safe wasn’t functioning

When I reported the issue the next morning, I was told a technician would come by I also asked for clean towels and was told to leave the dirty ones outside the door and they would be replaced; didn’t happen I had to ask again before retiring that night During our stay, the room was never serviced The fitness center was really nice, but it lacked mats for stretching

Nancy N

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country Petaluma as part of a three-day drive-to vacation with my mom The location, service, and amenities were great We enjoyed sightseeing in Bodega Bay, the Peanuts museum, and Sonoma Wine Country

The tall gentleman at the front desk was welcoming The Bartender/server at the restaurant on Monday evening provided excellent service although he was clearly overwhelmed having to manage mostly everything for all guests in the bar, restaurant area Breakfast on Tuesday was also nice, the food was yummy and the one server who mostly managed everything was friendly

Ashley

This is one of the most dog friendly hotels I have ever been to I’ve stayed at other Sheratons before, but have never seen so many people bring their dogs than I have here The hotel is just like any regular Sheraton

There was nothing that made it shine out more or less than the other Sheraton hotels Our room was clean and the staff cleaned our floor regularly It’s very convenient to many Sonoma and Petaluma wineries Downtown Sonoma was about a 20 minute drive This hotel is in a great location if wine tasting is on your list and you want to bring your dog There’s also a trail through a nature preserve right outside the hotel that is super dog friendly!

Good for a single night’s stay The building is beautiful and well kept As other reviews say, the walls are paper thin so be courteous of others

Rooms are comfortably sized, but could use a runner or rug as the floors get dusty/dirty quickly Overall there could be more attention to detail There is plenty of street parking and lots of local shops to enjoy right outside the hotel doors

Eric Nelson

Have been stopping at Hotel Petaluma for years with my wife and two kids LOVE this place The building and the rooms are incredible and full of charm and character

Super clean Nice adds (including a fancy white noise machine and great coffee) Beyond that, the staff are excellent We recently had an issue come up for us on our end (my fault), and not only were they willing to assist, they went above and beyond to help We also arrived when a huge wedding party was checking in on a Fri at check-in The front desk staff were quick and unflappable, and somehow amazingly friendly even with the busyness Will return for sure

Very mixed stay at this Marriott property Room was nice and overall staff was helpful However, two exchanges left me feeling quite under-valued during this stay

First issue: when calling the front desk to ask for room slippers and a hot water kettle, I was told the hotel doesn’t have these items The front desk then said, “I guess you are used to a full service hotel” For the price and brand, I had assumed this was a full service hotelNote: the front desk did go out and get a kettle (thank you!), but the comment was quite strange and disconcertingSecond issue: I called down to housekeeping to request the room be turned Front desk again responded, “Did you already request a room turn? We have over 100 rooms to do today, so I’ll see if we can get to yours” Again, this is a minimum level of service expected at a hotel Not sure why they thought saying this was okayNote: when we left the room, the housekeeper in the hallway asked very politely if we wanted service That was the kind of experience I was expecting!Otherwise, the cafe was quite nice and location was very convenient I would stay again, but I hope the staff is a little better in communicating

This team is amazing We had such a good time here ALL staff members were excellent!!!Val, Sarah, Sam, etc

Sarah was such a help at 1am, helping me load our sedan to head home She took a luggage cart to our room Made sure we had everything We really appreciated all the wonderful customer service from this team! I’ve been coming to California for work a lot more recently, and I decided to try Marriott Mainly because they had a hot tub People at the front desk were so friendly, laid-back, and it was comforting after an eight hour travel day

The burger in the bistro was one of the best burgers I have ever had, and I am a hell of a cook and I’m very impressedI cant wait to stay again!

It was pleasant, but for the price, we probably won’t returnLiked · The “famous” crepes (read other reviews) were tasty, albeit cold The funky French vibe was kind of fun

Gave the property a unique feel Bed was clean and comfortable Staff was good about helping us with items we almost left behindDisliked · There were supposed to be hard boiled eggs for breakfast, but apparently by 8:30 they had run out, even though the breakfast started at 8 Staff could have been friendlier – no smiles or “Good Mornings” We were surprised with the the French vibe, there was no bidet in the bathroom :-]

Priscila Corbitt

This hotel was truly the best ever! It literally felt like our best friends from Paris invited us to stay in their home! So unique and so welcoming with an added touch that made you want to come back again! Not to mention homemade crepes for a complimentary breakfast?! Hands down would recommend to anyone who wants to feel like their in Paris! 🙂

Absolutely fabulous We got in late and purchased a bottle of French wine at check in I had a lovely bath and a claw foot tub

Slept in a plush comfortable bed Woke up in the morning to have pour over French coffee and crêpes Discovered that they have a beautiful outdoor seating area and small airstream trailers for lodging as well I wouldn’t consider staying at any other hotel in Petaluma It’s perfect!

I stayed here the entire month of January 2020 for workWell maintained facilities and rooms with excellent customer service from all staff (front desk, cleaning crew, dining staff, and ancillary staff) made for a wonderfully productive work stayThe rooms were clean and comfortable with grade A bedding (mattress and pillows) – this is very important to me

The bathroom products were a nice brand (Tea Tree) which was also a plus When my TV had connectivity issues, it was fixed within 1 hour When my microwave had issues it was replaced immediately I enjoyed the daily morning breakfast which included hot foods such as eggs, waffles, sausage/bacon and more standard breakfast fare such as cereals, breads, fruit, and coffee/teaOverall, I enjoyed my stay here It took 5 minutes to drive to downtown Sebastopol (whole foods, tons of restaurants and shops) and about 20 minutes to Santa Rosa and PetalumaThere is a large beautiful pool/jacuzzi that I did not use because of the weather Overall, I would definitely return Not sure why this place is only 2 stars It’s definitely a gem

The staff is extremely friendly and professional Shop rates online as they go very high at peak times Free parking around the perimeter of the hotel but it does get busy and you have to search for a spot at times Costco is located right down the street in case you need supplies Only about 3 minutes from the freeway on ramps and there is even a local pie shop / diner open 24 hours nearby Also located very near the casino

Stayed here for a couple of nights while our house was being worked on Very minimal “business center” while we were there No printer and front desk clerk was unhelpful

Rooms were nice though there was a problem with the door Five stars for the bar service No breakfast or microwave during our stay 35 overall but rounded up for bar employee Would not stay here to conduct business

The front desk woman was rude to not only me, but the bride and groom who brought in a large group of guests She was extremely unhelpful, snippy, and hostile When I went to pay for my room, she gave me a total and no explanation as to why it was $200 more than what I was told on the phone

When I asked why, she threw up her hands and yelled for Tom (I assume he’s the manager) and promptly walked away and into the bathroom Tom was great about explaining the extra charges, which took roughly 30 seconds of his time, I paid and went to my room I know the same woman was unhelpful when another member of the party asked where parking was, she pointed in a general direction and then turned and walked away without actually supplying helpful information I also walked in on her being rude to the groom who was attempting to check in on a guest that requires extra attention due to a disability If it was one incident, maybe chalk it up to a bad day, but this happened over several days and with multiple people The hotel was also not busy, so that can’t be an excuse either Overall, the hotel was okay, nothing overly outstanding and the staff was rude With the option to stay in updated hotels in the area that are in the same proximity and cost the same or less, I would absolutely not recommend anyone stay in this hotel Especially if you’re getting married and bringing in a large group

We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights Check-in was excellent and all the staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly It is an excellent location with great nearby restaurants, including its own Grossman’s restaurant

Parking was convenient and they let us keep our bikes in the room The bed was very comfortable, and after we figured out the heating/air-conditioning, the room was delightful

I have been here 4 times, all in the Carriage House which I prefer The first time I stayed in an upstairs room with big windows with no shades on Wilson St The room was cute but at night lights streamed in the big windows and the street noise from cars, garbage collection and leaf blowers in the early hours was maddening! Wilson St is very noisy!! I changed to a downstairs room off the street and this was fine

I was able to ask for and stay in similar downstairs rooms on the next two visits The last visit I again asked for one of these rooms and was told “no problem” When I checked in I was told by the desk attendant that the room wasn’t available and I was given an upstairs room instead What? I complained and she said “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” She could not tell me why the room was changed I was very unhappy but she was disinterested The room turned out to be OK but it definitely is noisier in the upstairs rooms When I checked out I again questioned this policy of changing rooms and was told “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” This attendant was also disinterested and unapologetic SoI won’t be returning here since I only want to stay in the downstairs rooms off the street And I guess I can’t trust that I’ll get the room I asked for

We were really excited to stay here, since it’s in such a beautiful location Unfortunately, there are plenty of other places that would be a better fit for folks Here are a few of the reasons why you shouldn’t stay here:(1) if you’re just here to stay the night – they will still charge you a $25 destination fee for a wine tasting that happens from 3 pm to 7 pm

No one told us it was happening when we booked – and we still got charged even though we checked in at 8 pm When we brought it up to the concierge after staying the night, he was incredibly rude and couldn’t take the $25 fee off(2) the map/route of the building doesn’t make sense Elevators are in random parts of the building and if you’re differently able, it’s gonna be difficult navigating the area The carpet is everywhere and hard to move luggage on(3) the key card system doesn’t work We had a room but couldn’t get to the bar, stairs, and the breakfast room through the hotel Instead we would have to walk outside to access the main lobby areas to enter – OR wait for another person to open it for you It seemed like other people of color had similar issues with their key cardsReasons why you should stay here:(1) great rooms, great atmosphere, and a small lobby bar that’s great!

Fantastic experience The front desk team did a wonderful job with the check in/check out process and always willing to help Room was clean

large and comfortable We loved the location but the freeway was a little loud when outside by the pool Food service is a little lacking on site but the quick bite by the lobby bar were pretty good and ton of local places to eat within easy walk from the hotel My only big issue would be the out dated key system Keys wouldn’t work in a lot of the outside doors and the gate on the back of the property wasn’t secure and nor was the fence that lead out to the public trailOverall really a nice property at a reasonable rate Defiantly will stay there again

I would have given 5 stars for the quality of the room and the kindness of staff However, I was charged $62 for a facility use fee which was never explained before I checked in at any time I called to ask about it and the desk clerk said he would reverse it

A week later and $34 was refunded out of the $62Lastly, I was told I shouldn’t worry about paying for the self-parking by the desk when I checked in The girl actually tossed away my exit ticket for the parking, saying I can just go through when I leave When I checked out I double checked asking again if I should keep a room key to exit with my car, but she assured me it was fine I ended up having to pay with a credit card for parking I would not have minded paying had it just been expected It was frustrating that I had to scramble at the gate to push buttons to be able to exit the lot until I paidThis would be a 5 star Hyatt if they could do away with the facilities fee (or any fee that is not explained BEFORE check in) and there should be consistent rules around parking so as not to confuse guests

Very nice hotel Appreciate that it’s very kid and family friendly Will definitely have to check the pool out next time I go

Their burrito breakfast is yummy and it’s nice that they will customize it to your liking as much as they can Another great thing about this hotel is that they offer a shuttle that can bring you to Gratin Casino and can also pick you up from the casino back to the hotel!

Great facility with clean rooms, excellent clean and well decorated bathroomsLocated close to golf course and Graton Casino with round the clock shuttle from the hotel Many Sonoma wineries in 20 miles circle

They have ample parking with free EV chargers – 1 x J1772 and 2 x Tesla destination which worked well I got 30 Amps with 200v They are first come first serve so hard to get at night when all guests are backVery courteous staff at the desk and breakfast barThey had complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks, and a well spread complimentary breakfast every morningWe had opted for a Valley View King bedroom which was very well sized with all amenities working There is no valley but a good view of open space in the back and the pool on the property

While the hotel can be hard to find if you don’t knoe the area, the hotel itself was amazing Friendly staff, pretty good breakfast, clean room, and quite beautiful The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear people in the hallway and the view was of the car wash and “shady hotel” near by but it made for some fun laughs

Would definitely stay again

This place definitely holds up to every Hampton Inn that I’ve stayed at, it’s excellent The facility is well maintained, the grounds are spotless, and our room was extremely clean My favorite part about staying here is the incredible staff

Rian and Minette gave us superior quality customer service, and helped us make sure our kid and dogs were happy, and settled Our stay was lovely, and we will definitely be back

Hotel nice and staff friendly; However, my car was targeted in parking lot a nasty disparaging racist note was left on it ,spit on my windshield and scratched, I reported It to staff on duty but I dont feel like they offered much help especially since I’m a frequent Hilton proprietor I recommend this location get a night time attendant to do parking lot rounds since the homeless and drug user population has noticeably increased in this area
