I am marking one star just because I cannot give zero star to the hotelFirst, even though I reserved a nonsmoking room and the clerk told me not to smoke in the room, the very first thing I found in the hotel room was smoking smell Many people smoked in the room and the hotel has not treated very well, I am sure

And they do not offer breakfast, don’t be fooled from other informations When I ask about breakfast, she the clerk told me that they do not offer breakfast buy only coffeesNo amenities including a hair dryer may be understood, no blameOne good thing, I did not see any insect maybe because of smoking smell

If I can give this location more stars I would!!!! Mitchell at the front desk was so warm and welcoming! He overheard our frustration with our cab driver and made it his mission to ensure we knew not all Texans are the same! He gave us early check in, a complimentary soda, and ensure throughout our stay we were completely comfortable and happy! Upon checkout made sure we had our receipt in our email and welcomed us back!! The housekeeping staff were so welcoming and friendly and ensured our comfort was a priority The room was very clean and sanitized I fully recommend this location and if possible give Mitchell a raise he deserves it!!!!

Remembered Events

We had a wonderful time at the Fairfield Inn We were in Houston for a funeral and was given incorrect information about roll away beds and sleeper sofas, the lady at the front desk made it right and got us an additional room at a fabulous rate to make up for the inconvenience Everyone on site was so kind and helpful

The breakfast was pretty good We used the gym, a little small but just what we needed to get active The room was a great size and very comfortable bed and pillows Next time we visit our family we will stay here again

K S

2stars because the bed was hard as a rock and I was in such pain and got no sleep Never ever have I had such a rock hard bed at any hotel we’ve stayed Rooms big and clean

Very small staffed and not many people were at this location I chose it based on location to the Lone Star Flight Museum as that was our last stop before doing the Farmer’s market the next am Plus we had cc points Thank goodness I was able to manage the Farmer’s market ok

Mold in the bathroom, toilet handle was broken and I had to plunge it because it clogged easily twice Stains on the bed sheets, requested 3 different pairs and 2 of those had substantial stains as well Finally after seeing what we thought might be bed bugs we asked for a different room

Given a different room only to find a big very easily noticeable stain there as well Went 15 minutes away to a different La Quinta and was very pleased at the huge difference in cleanliness Won’t be staying here again Easily worst hotel I’ve stayed at

Perry Charbarneau

The toilet is broken, the elevator is broken, the internet doesn’t work, the hot breakfast happens only if the front desk person feels like making it(hit or miss), coffee is cold Second worst motel I have ever stayed in I travel for business, so I stay in a lot of motels and hotels

So being the second worst is saying a lot I would have given 0 stars if it were an option Don’t stay here!

Jason Huffman

The staff was friendly and cooperative The breakfast was adequate; however, I would recommend extending the serving time until 0900 on Saturday and Sunday The bathroom (room 123) needs a new shower curtain and repair or replacement on the bathtub faucet

Also, it appears that the walls were not completely painted and there is a 5-6 inch burned/melted spot on the carpet in front of the fridge The outside flower beds are in a state of repair

Very impressed with my stay here! The studio rooms are great – you get a kitchen sink, dishwasher, fridge, and two-burner stove which was all new and clean The room was spacious and the staff was friendly Best part about my stay was the breakfast – delicious food and tons of options

The coffee was very good tooThe hotel is a bit removed from downtown, but for the price it was worth staying 20m outside of Houston

Hykeem Woody

Manager Teresa was an excellent host and maintained great customer service throughout the duration of my stay She made sure that everything was taken care of and trained her staff on the whim to care for guests at an exceptional level Hotel was clean and located in a great place for traveling experiences to be maximized

Also, Abraham was the best clerk when it came to getting things handled promptly I’d recommend this property to future travelers for sure

1) Stayed there 2 different stints, 2 days each and saw 3 roaches One in each room and one scurrying about in the hall

The disturbing thing is they say if you see roaches, there are probably many more you don’t see2) Hair on the bathroom floor in several spots, floor was not cleaned in the bathroom as other debris was there Really, floor not cleaned in the bathroom??3) Dirty glass and dirty coffee cup I could remove the coffee stain with my finger so clearly the cup was not cleaned, probably just rinsed out Smudge prints on outside of glass so that was not cleaned also4) Had to remove the shampoo dispenser from the wall to remove the top just to get shampoo out in one room and soap ran out of dispenser in the other room5) Microwave in room did not work; kept tripping the breaker in the room I seriously doubt it just went out right before I got there I full well expected one to be in the kitchen only to find out I had to ask the front desk person to microwave dinner in the employee area How can they not have a public microwave? As you can see, all of these show a serious lack of attention to the room itself and 3 of those relate to simple, basic cleanliness I have been traveling extensively for work since 2010 and have never stayed in a Marriott as badly managed and neglected as this one This is a management issue at the hotel itself, accepting substandard behavior by the cleaning staff and not following up to ensure the rooms are cleaned properly Pay a few extra dollars and stay at another Marriott

Really nice hotel! Stayed here for one night prior to our cruise from Galveston The hotel itself is very modernized with comfy beds/pillows, great shower pressure and very friendly staff We were even offered chocolate chip cookies upon arrival

Plus they offer a free shuttle service from the airport The breakfast was pretty good too The only downside is the area isn’t great However, if you are looking for a nice hotel that’s close to the airport, I would recommend staying here!

Tiffany Winton

Excellent experience, stay, and shuttle service! We arrived fairly late in the evening the night before our cruise I called the hotel, and they quickly came to pick up my husband and I Beds were vet comfortable, room exceptionally clean and updated, and showers that run hot for quite a while

Keurig in the room, and a nice breakfast as well They even provided shuttle service to the location we were to catch the shuttle at the airport Overall pleasant experience and staff I will definitely return

1 The rooms are nice in decor, however, the cleanliness was not up to par There was hair all over my first room

From the pillows to the towels it was disgusting There were dirty jeans in the drawer as if someone had been a construction worker and left them You’d think the cleaners would check all of this2 The area is not safe and is sketchy Watch your belongings!3 I booked the wrong day and tried to rebook it for the same day Told the owner what’s going on and he went and upped thrice by $75 and said it was the last room available The hotel has been empty Then when he saw that it took two hours to get the reservation company to fix it, he charged me a late check out fee because I did not book the with him I didn’t book with him because he tried to take advantage of the situation He said he will waive the late check out fee if i booked I definitely will be disputing This fee4 Please do not stay here The breakfast yogurt was molded The cereal was old I don’t understand how they have the little customers they haveI will never come back and I’ll stick with Hilton!!!

Molly-Dodd Adams

Excellent stay here in June for a funeral at Forest Park Lawndale New build, clean, felt safe Proprietors and staff were lovely and accommodated my request for an extra night–four days total

Convenient to an excellent grocery store (H-E-B) and Starbucks (treat to myself), Home Depot (potted flowers for the gravesite) Washer & Dryer worked very well, but if you prefer non-scented detergent, you’ll need to pick that up elsewhere Washer locks, once the load is started, so you don’t have to sit and watch it Definitely recommend for anyone on a budget Oh, and easy drive to downtown locations!

Visited Houston during rodeo and I needed a place to lay my head for one night We checked in at 11pm The moment I walked in the door I noticed the hotel shuttle with missing hub caps and it was dirty

The parking lot was not well lit and I saw a security guard outsideIt felt creepy Not to mention there were Budget Rent A Trucks locked inside the gate on the side of the property The entire atmosphere looked sketchy As I walk inside the lobby I noticed the floor mat and automatic doors looked old and unkempt Regardless of the pictures you see you have to pay attention to detail There was an odor in the lobby but surprisingly the lobby appeared cleaned I went to my room and I immediately noticed the old stained carpet everywhere Not to mention you can hear all of the road noise I don’t think I will test tonight It just doesn’t feel safe not to mention the AC is loud Pray for me!!! If you want R&R don’t stay in the hood!!

Rose Lenhart

The price and photos on all the websites/apps make this place appealing, but run far away REALLY TURN AROUND –My husband stayed one night and his truck was stolen by 1130pm No surveillance cameras so nothing caught on tape which is not typical for most hotels

The staff was less than helpful and would not even lend a phone charging cord to my husband I called to talk to my husband, which was not allowed back into his room after checking out (around 0800) and no guest phones in the lobby The only thing the front desk person was concerned about was using the main line phone and she would say is “I can’t tie up my line/phone” what a shameful human being I would give this location ZERO stars if I could Thank goodness he made his way out there

nandan satheesh

Worst customer service first of all Very rude & unsupportive front staffs The bathroom toilet doesn’t work , it took so long for them to finally repair them

They have very old systems for check in , no mobile check in , no chat done through bonvoy apps applies ! No breakfast, very costly bar in the buildingRooms are tiny too Won’t be repeating this location again Even the bar closes at 10 pm , the lady at the bar is not willing to service when u r there at 9:45 pm! She was literally counting cash , when we came to the bar , she said no cash will charge to room or credit cards She also said that’s not available etc etc very rude & unwelcoming unfortunately After traveling all the way from Canada to Texas , when u get this , what to say more!! Please train ur staffs or change them ! This stays was a terror ! I was also an Marriott platinum elite member tooThe photos shown in the Google are outdated!

Better than most $100-150 HotelsVery clean and well managed The window AC was great, you just have to turn it down some

Did I say clean? The bed was nice tooI slept like a baby

They will have specials on their website that look like a deal but when you call they’ll say they’re not running the specials anymore (So take it off the website!!) Free breakfast between 6am & 9am-waffles, muffins, juice I was given a bigger room for the same price of a regular room since they ran out of nonsmoking regular rooms

When we opened the door a fresh smell hit our noise which was refreshing! But after a while the fresh scent seemed overwhelming to where you could taste it! Don’t get me wrong I’d rather have that fresh scent over smoke or body odor but it was a bit over powering if you have allergies New remodeled bathroom that looked upscale Lots of towels and toilet paper Coffee maker with coffee packets Complimentary tooth brushs, razor and shower capI was happy with my stay

The stay was nice Louella at the front desk assisted me and she was great Louella was extremely helpful with room selection, I was greeted well, given cookies and water upon my arrival

My only disappointment was that there was no microwave in the room, I had to constantly go to another floor for ice, and no one came to empty the trash or bring fresh towels, this is why I am giving it 3 stars I would still recommend this Hotel because of the customer service and the convenience right by the airportI stayed in a room that was at the end of the building which cut down on noise levels The hotel itself was clean along with the room

Shawn

Rooms were nice and staff was friendly We got into Galveston late due to a delayed flight and when we got into the hotel we had 35 minutes to order food before the kitchen closed The four of us ordered and got the food in 20 minutes

They forgot an entree and told us that the kitchen was closed and could not get us anymore food They then said they would refund the cost difference and after 20 minutes they couldn’t do that They told me they would deduct it from our room stay The lady at the counter felt bad for the situation and have us free breakfast coupons, but I went to bed that night without food The room was nice, but we were next door to a suite that was celebrating a wedding and were in and out most of the night, door slammed every time Breakfast was not bad They had eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles and much much more Thankfully it was comped because it was pricey

Josefina Saldaña

Fresh chocolate chip cookies were the highlight here Parking lot was interesting, only one way in and one way out This hotel is right by the airport so you can hear the planes coming and going, but it’s also pretty cool to see them take off

Airport theme through out Jack in the box within waking distance Rooms and common areas could use a refresh

Lori Ann Spachek

It really was overall, just okay The overnight staff was FABULOUS! They helped us like family when we checked in late last night! The day staff however, made us feel like we were interrupting their day by actually being guests in the hotel At breakfast the warm cinnamon rolls must have been great as they we’re all gone by seven! I didn’t get one from the first batch and when I asked if there would be more I was told “no” but that I could have a cold one if I wanted it

It’s now five pm and our room hasn’t been cleaned yet and there were no clean towels out at the not-even-close-to-clean pool When we asked to reserve a seat on the shuttle for our flight in the morning, we were told “sorry but our shuttle doesn’t start running until 7 am” Really!? You’re the closest Holiday Inn to Hobby Airport and the earliest flights someone could make after staying here would be 9:00 am?? We specifically chose this hotel because it was close to the airport And good thing we did, as we may have to walk there to catch our flight in the morning!!

Renee Johnson

We were pleased that they were able to accommodate me with a better room because the first room looked like a recovery room for addicts We were also disappointed that no one informed me that the pool was closed for whatever reason before I checked in I selected that hotel because it had an outdoor pool and we wanted to swim while we were on vacation for 5 days

Oh and then the shuttle only runs on weekdays so I was forced to take a $13 uber to a hotel that was less than 5miles away from the airport that I flew into Theresa was nice and she made sure we were straight, however the hotel shuttle and pool situation brought those stars down baby!

Tori Jones

The room was good The pool was nice Most of the staff was friendly

We asked for towels one night and they said we couldn’t take them with us, they had to be delivered We never got them We had to ask again the following day and they were finally brought up The towels were all dingy and stained up A guest’s truck got stolen from the lot We were informed by police that break ins and stolen vehicles is a common occurrence here The location is not the greatest! The freeway is loud all hours of the day and night The breakfast wasn’t good Even the coffee was bitter The best part is it is only minutes from the airport I can’t say we would stay here again

Its understandable that covid brought the no daily room service So what’s the excuse for my room not being cleaned well prior to my arrival I had to reclean my room due to it not being properly cleaned prior to my arrival

No big deal The issue came about five days later during my stay when their was loud music obnoxiously being played and hotel staff lied about talking to other guests to lower the music so I can concentrate on my work and relax The music kept playing until almost 11 PM which is unacceptable After calling the front desk about 5-6times and no solution this makes me very disappointed in the service I received at this Hampton Facility As a Lifetime Diamond member this is by far the worst Hotel experience I’ve had in 12 years WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

We were greeted by a wonderful woman named Valencia and accommodated quickly She went above and beyond by giving us a list of restaurants that were near by with mileage and walking time that she made Our room was very clean as expected

Our bed was a bit firm for our liking but it worked Jeff the night clerk was great and very helpful Housekeeping ladies were smiling and always busy when I saw them Building and grounds looked well kept and clean My ONLY negative is the bed I wish it was a bit softer but it could have been worse

Nice hotel but definitely needs some minor maintenance Leaky shower faucets, shower head had a crack in it that sprayed water all over the bathroom floor (didn’t notice it until I got out) and some aesthetic stuff like 2 different color paints on the room ceiling The breakfast buffet was basically bread and danishes, just add watermill packs, powdered eggs, steamed sausage links, make your own pancakes, small servings of individual yogurts, coffee and your choice of watered down orange juice or apple juice

On-site amenities include a gym, laundromat, conference room and a small store for your snack goodies

I don’t know what everyone is talking about the hotel being dirty, because the room I was in wasn’t dirty at allThe beds had nice, comfortable little sheets and blankets, and there was a tiny little bathroomThere is a dining area too which serves some really good Texas shaped waffles
