This property is located within an easy walk to the beach and downtown Venice It is very convenient to the Legacy Bike Trail Our room was clean and had everything we needed during our 12-night stay

The pool is fun, and there are bikes available to use, as well as laundry machines and many beach items (chairs, coolers, etc) The fact that so many of the guests return year after year says a lot We have already booked for next year!

Ayeola Omolara

Had an amazing time! Mindy did an incredible job preparing the room Everything was very comfortable and clean As a housemaid myself, I have an eye for detail, so coming here I felt like I was receiving the royal treatment

The price was also very affordable too!! That was very important to me so I was very happy to have a 5 star vacation at a good price The bike that were available made it easy to bike to the beach and enjoy the sunset My boyfriend and I had a fabulous time and easy check-in!

James Morin

We recently stayed at the Tropical Villas of Venice Beach It was a cute bungalow styled efficiency Room was clean and a staff that could not have been nicer and more helpful

Check in system was a breeze Location was so close to downtown we walked to dinner in the evenings and went shopping during the day Definitely on our places to stay list when visiting Venice, FL

We stay here Memorial day weekend and the front desk hostess Dana was very friendly and helpful There was miscommunication with our room accommodation but we finally got it situated Our room was newly remodeled and beautiful! The beds are comfy, which is such a plus because many hotel beds cannot compare to our own bed at home

My only concern with the room was the water pressure, which was very weak Other than that, our room was clean and wonderful The rooms are very spacious and the pool area was very nice The pool is more “adult friendly” because it goes from 4ft-8ft, which my toddler could not enjoy much We did try to go to the breakfast/brunch restaurant After seating us, it took about 20+ minutes to take our order, and then after waiting another 20+ minutes, we informed our waitress we had to go, and she said we could because the cook hadn’t even started our food yet So we left hungry It was a good stay though

Leona Moore

Did not find any issues Very contemporary decor, very cool Beds were great and shower was hot!2 minor things, be nice to have microwave IN the room not lobby

Also, be nice to have a sign on the back side of building pointing the way to the restaurant without having to walk in the building and going back outside for the restaurant!

Kristen Girard

I don’t understand the good reviews about this place but maybe because it’s our first time here The room immediately smelt like something died in it or a neighboring room and when we called to complain they said they can’t do anything This is not good service

They said all they can do is give us air freshener which is like a slap in the face If it smells like death, there are bigger issues!! Do they not watch true crime? The room is a decent size, bed is comfortable No plug ins on both sides of the bedWe don’t have pets with us this trip but they do have pet friendly rooms for the ones wonderingThe vanity in the bathroom was dirty, rusty towel holder and soap all over the floor in the shower Shower handle doesn’t have hot or cold labels so you’re on your ownI haven’t seen the rest of the hotel, (pool etc) but this is my experience! I hope no one died in the bathroom and the smell is still there 🙄😔

Great service!!We will be back!

Laura “LDT” Davis

I grew up in Daytona and thought I knew all that Florida had to offer

but then I found Venice and this amazing gem of a place Oh My Gosh It is perfect The beach is steps away and is hands down GORGEOUS Sugar sand, crystal blue water, gentle wavesswaying palm trees It’s heaven There’s a cute little mid-century snack bar with live music at dusk and all that you need for a quick drink or nosh The Inn is perfectly appointed Some of the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered and yes, the breakfast pastries are amazing! They always have cold water bottles on ice and plenty of beach accoutrements to grab and head down with The pool and hot tub are salt water and the perfect temps (BOTH) and every person we met with so friendly and lovely Then there’s Venice It looks like a dang movie set! Net-net, I almost didn’t want to write this because it’s so amazing

The location is great, wonderful stretch of beach for walking Restaurants near by We had unit 14, which was described as a two bedroom unit sleeping four

The second bedroom was a small walk through to the bathroom, with a single bed Not sure where the 4th person would sleep After a discussion with management about how it is listed, we were given a discount Washer/dryer in unit Couch could use replacement Staff very responsive to my concerns and suggestions

Iona Macphie

This place was discusting and use false advertisement of clean rooms to gain customers The sheets weren’t changed or clean there was a dirty Aircon unit next to one of our pillows and a dirty vent next to the other

There was zero staff on site to help us and we tried calling and texting with no response I have had nose and throat surgery and breathing difficulties so we just couldn’t stay, for fear of my health On top of this the cooker hob was broken, all furniture was old and chipped all ledges were dirty and the toilet would not flush Absolutely disgusting unfortunately Facebook won’t allow me to add pictures but I will leave them on any review platform I can needless to say the resort have refused us a refund ended up paying $1900 for a new, clean, hotel we enjoyed our Florida holiday but steer well clear of this discusting place!! Don’t make the same mistake we did

We really liked this hotel, it was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs There wasn’t room service while we were there they are short on help right now, so that was kind of a bummer if we needed towels or anything we had to go to the front desk and the ask for themThe breakfast was really good

Every morning there was a huge selection of items to choose from Bacon or sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy Pancakes or waffles that you made yourself (the pancakes were very good) they had a selection of juices, oatmeal, grits, cold cereals, bagels, English muffins, toast, yogurt, fruit cups, coffee, hot chocolate, tea and many other things I’m probably forgetting It was goodSometime in the afternoon/evening they make these cookies and set them out on the front desk They are really yummy! Don’t miss out on those 😊Overall this hotel was really nice and we would definitely come back and stay again!

Tommy M

*my parents stayed here* I am spending some time with my parents and their room is clean They have a nice amount of space their room as well They offer housekeeping when you request it 24 hours ahead of time

The lobby areaa and other public areas of the hotel are clean It is right off of I-75 and close to downtown Venice and Venice beach You will need to drive to get to downtown and the beach – they are worth the drive I can’t rate the service because I did not seek out any service Definitely stop in and check this hotel out I would stay here and I used to work in the hotel industry (I know what to look for)

A beautiful piece of Old Florida! We stayed for a week and hated leaving We were in #11 Pelican The furniture and fixtures have a little age on them, but everything works and the room was very clean

Staff was very friendly and helpful I’m pretty sure they were completely booked, but it was very quiet The best part of the Pearl is the location If you enjoy relaxing on a quiet beach away from the crowds, this is the place for you The nearest public beach is about a mile away, so you don’t have to worry about spillover The locals that occasionally walked by on the beach all seemed friendly too Can’t wait to go back!

M. Luisa Rodriguez

Need to get away from the crowd? Love nature? This is the place Nothing fancy, just what the body needs Quiet, isolated, peaceful

🫠Other patrons commented on patchy cell reception It didn’t bother us We disconnected from the world Enjoyed the sounds of the waves breaking on the shorelineBring your own food There are a couple of restaurants/bar but not within walking distance It’s a 20 minute drive to a supermarket Which is fine, price to pay for isolation

Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly and very helpful The hot tub and pool were crystal clean and clear with perfect temperatures! The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the rooms were quiet! We enjoyed the fresh complimentary coffee served each morning too The only complaint we had, (which is why I gave 4 stars), was there were not enough towels available to the guest! We went two days without any pool towels or bath towels

Overall thoughit was a wonderful stay!

Tim Raymund

Unexpectedly busy weekend, so some things like towels and toothbrushes were out, and some of the staff definitely had to go above and beyond Extra busy on Saturday because the hotel hosted a cage match Overall though, it all worked out quite well as it’s walkable to town and has very good food at reasonable prices

Great place to hang out with a group

Mary Unser

The rooms very small but extremely clean, the space in the bathroom is tight the bathroom door opens up into a wall which doesn’t give much room for the sinkThe card key that go into the door are very sensitive and every time I went into my room it took at least 3 to 5 times of putting the card in the slot before it would allow me to open the doorVery difficult to find the switches for the lamps I had to call the office to find out how the switches worked

On the plus side the couple that ran the breakfast in the mornings were the best I’ve ever seen in any hotel They were very attentive to our needs and we’re on the ball four picking up plates and we’re very pleasant and made the experience there wonderful, they were the best part of the hotel, oh also Scott the gentleman at the front desk in the morning he was also extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with

We came to FL on business, but chose this hotel as it has been a favorite of ours when we are in the area It is not far from the beach, you can easily walk there The rooms are nice

The breakfast is pretty good for free food The best part of it was the manager She was very helpful and willing to try to do whatever was needed to improve our stay We will definitely be back

Amy Culbertson

My husband and I first stayed here when we moved to the area a few years ago It was a terrific place to stay with friendly staff, clean rooms and within walking distance to the beach We no longer live in the area, but came to stay when we had a chance to be back in town

We are still happy with the hotel We had a slight issue while we were staying and needed to speak to the manager She was terrific Very professional Resolved the issue immediately to make the stay more comfortable The best part is the hotel is clean with friendly staff, a great manager and within walking distance to the beach Highly recommend

Hannah Coomer

Stay was great and they accommodated my gluten allergy with breakfast Our only complaint was that our door would not latch when closed and we had to spend a lot of time clicking it to get it to latch properly every time we would open the door We addressed it with the front desk and was told maintenance would come by, but we never experienced a fixed door the remainder of our stay

This obviously is not indicative of the entire hotel, but it is something I wish was taken more seriously as we had expensive valuables in our room As a whole, we will continue staying at Home2Suites on vacation as the rooms are large and very comfortable and it is reasonably priced

At first I was a little disappointed that the room looked bigger in the photos, but honestly we had plenty of room We booked the deluxe queen suite The kitchen had everything we needed

The only issue was that the knives weren’t super sharp, but that wasn’t a huge deal The staff here is incredibly sweet and helpful and the whole vibe was like a little community We met the nicest people here and our 5 year old had a blast The pool was great and they have some extra pool toys on hand The beach was amazing We were blown away at how clear and calm the water was We were able to use our lounge floats in the ocean during the dayThe private beach was a plus It gets a little expensive to rent the chairs and umbrellas, but there’s also room to bring your ownWe really have no major complaints about this stay at all We had a fantastic time and the staff was there whenever we needed anythingI highly recommend staying here, especially for families

First time to Siesta Key and it won’t be our last Pleasantly surprised with our room Our room had recently had an update and it was beautifully appointed

While we ate dinners out, the kitchenette was great for breakfast and a quick, simple lunch Beds were comfortable Bathroom nicely done, like the thought of the alcoves in the shower for your shampoo, conditioner, etc Location and beach access could not have been better Staff at check in/out were so friendly Really could not have asked for a better stay

I have lived in Florida all of my life and love to visit all of the beaches here This wasa wonderful place to get to the beach on Siesta Key A little crowded for a “private beach” but that’s Florida! Close to quite a few really good restaurants, rentals for bikes and kayaks and the beach

The staff was WONDERFUL!! The beach is beautiful Our unit was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay nice Having a kitchen was a big plus for eat in meals! The pullout sofa was much more comfortable than I thought it would be Would definitely stay here again!

The Beach at Manasota is spectacular! These lovely cottages are as well! They were clean and definitely worth renting The owners were pleasant and continue to totally update the units and they are attractive and in such a perfect spot I was surprised at how quiet it was at night and also how beautiful the stars were

During the day the mature trees gave lots of shade even though I visited during the hottest part of the year The air conditioning and ceiling fans were exceptional!! I can’t wait to visit this beach and these cottages in Manasota again!!

This place is HEAVEN and you should book it! You will not be sorry! Perfect old Florida charm: luxurious but not at all pretentious, steps from the beach, beautiful grounds, tons of wildlife, smiling faces and water views on all sides Close to everything, yet somehow remote in a good way! There is so much peace, quiet and privacy The inn was almost fully booked but it felt like you never ran into anyone— in a good way

When you did see someone, they were lovely, interesting folks Staff is friendly, attentive and take pride in their work This place sparkles with magic and the team is a huge part of that Extras like coffee, robes, sunscreen, ice, coolers, unlimited towels etc are just perfect And your own hot tub I mean— come on! You cannot do better in Florida

Alvaro Perez Abrahantes

Siesta Key is a gem of Florida and within that strip of paradise, there’s Turtle Beach INN We had a blast, we relaxed and reenergized We stayed @ the INN and had our own private hot tub

This is a small family owned place, there are many amenities but for us the best was the kayaks (included with the room price) we took them to the secret beach and had an awesome time The staff is great, Alana and her father are excellent hosts who accommodate any request A most stay and definitely a repeat! 🙂

Kim Martin

Wonderful getaway at this charming, quaint & picturesque Mom & Pop resort on the bay We were looking for a relaxing, dog-friendly resort with water views & The Country Cottage fit the bill! Spotting dolphin & manatee from our private dock was icing on the cake! No restaurant or fitness center, but bikes, kayaks, canoes, bagged ice, fishing & beach gear ARE included There’s also a small pool, grill, hammocks & private jacuzzis

Turtle Beach is a 5-min walk across the street & there’s a free trolley to take you to the more crowded, lively Siesta Key Village Our favorite restaurant was The Cottage (north end), but there are 3 restaurants within walking distance The office staff was great & let us take a peek at 2 other cottages for future visits The interior of the Victorian was my favorite – updated with clean lines, soft colors & new appliances – but a limited bay view The Caribbean is a lovely choice for privacy & bay views For more space, there are 2 townhouses (2 BR, 3 B) close by If you’re torn between the resort & the inn, definitely go with the resort! To be fair, there are a few MINOR flaws that could use TLC, but otherwise, Turtle Beach Resort was a slice of PARADISE Can’t wait to return!

This place was magnificent! The cottage we stayed in was perfect and had all the essential things we needed for our weekend getaway The best part is the beautiful view and how close you are to the ocean The heated pool was wonderful! Felt like bath water

The beach access was great and gave beautiful views!! This is much better than a hotel or condo where you’re fighting for parking spaces or listening to lots of noise We will definitely be back!

I booked thins hotel through booking website and was set to arrive there late at night with my twin 7 year old children after a long day at bush gardens Wen we arrived close to 11 ok at night, my wife and children were exhausted from a long drive, as was I When I entered the hotel there were two sliding glass doors, one opened immediately the 2nd didn’t open right away, after knocking on the window to see if someone working there could help, I instinctively tried to see if the door was jammed, as often happens, and the 2nd door opened

When I entered the hotel a heavyset lady named Amy at the front desk immediately started yelling at me for opening the second door without a key When I informed her I had just got there and have not yet received the key for my reservation she told me that she would not be honoring my reservation I told her I was there with two sleepy kids so n the car and wished to speak with a manager as we had come a long way and didn’t have energy to find another hotel She exclaimed that she was the manager I said I wanted a refund then, and she coldly said I would not receive one and to leave or police would be called As I attempted to call the Marriott customer service number as she walked to the back room, I saw that she indeed did call the police…who accosted me in the lobby in front of 2 tired children just looking for a place to sleep Though the police agreed that she was ridiculous, they admitted there was nothing they could do, and that we had to leave, as she was the only representative of that hotel at that time Needless to say I will be filing a chargeback and complaint Beware of Amy, she seems to be an emotionally charged worker with no care for customer service, or even honoring reservations at her discretion The general manager will be notified, but I’d stay away from this place until then

This is neither the best nor worst Marriott hotel we have stayed in, but it was certainly the most expensive The room was the smallest of any Fairfield Hotels we stayed in during our trip, but it was clean Not having an armchair to sit in limits you to using the bed as your sitting area

The staff was friendly and helpful, but I feel this hotel is over priced for what you are getting as accommodation Of all the 6 or 7 Marriott hotels we stayed in during our travels in Dec 2021 and Jan 2022, this one was the most expensive by far and had the worst room The breakfast buffet was tasty with a lot of choice

Recently updated but horribly managed After checking in we were informed that there will be no housekeeping but once a week Also told to leave towels in the hall if we wanted new ones

When we exited the elevator to our room we were greeted with a hallway filled with dirty towels When I asked why we were told they were short staffed If you look at their website which takes the space to list over 75 “amenities”, you will find no mention that housekeeping, one of the most expensive components of running a hotel, has been essentially eliminatedEven more annoying was they are charging peak prices for the hotel I suspect if more people knew there was no housekeeping on mist days, before they booked, they might find other places to stay When I asked onsite management why this was the case they said they have a labor shortage When I asked a regional marketing executive they claimed it was all due to Covid I asked specifically what Covid restrictions require them to only clean once or twice a week I did not receive a response Tired of businesses using Covid as an excuse to charge full price and offer less service
