Rebecca Clark (Becca)

The location is right downtown so there are some shady people outside of the hotel but inside the hotel has a lot of character! The staff is really friendly and the bar is well stocked with great menu and good drinks Classy with a shabby chic look The event room that we used was fabulous with again great character

Shabby chic, music icons , nice details Highly recommend!

Breakfast in the restaurant was pretty darn good Huge portions to match the price The room was very warm

I kept adjusting the thermostat to no avail Called twice On the second day, Joseph came and fixed the issue But hot water and cold water were turned on Should only have been cold turned on He knew what the problem was and fixed it quickly Very dog friendly hotel Though I was told on the phone the fee was 7500, but at the hotel they charged 10000, there is a great little dog park right next to the hotel She to a festival on the street, finding the parking garage was very difficult due to all the blocked off streets Overall a decent stay

Nick B

This is a decent hotel and is right in downtown Reno Right next to the Reno sign in fact It is also not a casino, which is rare

The rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly There is a bouldering gym and climbing wall on the side of the building if you’re into thatThis hotel allows guests with dogs, which some people may appreciate, but it seems like they mix the dog owners with non dog owners on all the floorsI had an aggressive dog bark at me and my family as an elevator opened Some people don’t control their dogs and let them run around the lobby and hallways You also can hear dogs barking from your hotel room Also, I don’t want to stay in a room that had a dog before meI think they need to plan this out better and put the dog owners on a single floor down low instead of making other guests suffer It is also a huge liability if anyone gets bitten on their property Just saying

I arrived in the evening to seemingly bother the front desk clerk I noticed the airport shuttle and asked about service Ms attitude told me it had to be booked well in advance

The vibe of the hotel is industrial with live music in the lobby giving it a festive edge The hallways appeared dingy and the carpet had not been vacuumed Later in the evening when I turned down my bed I found it to have no sheets The night manager, Jeremy was very responsive and helpful The next morning however, the hair dryer didn’t work either Housekeeping brought the dryer I asked her to service the room She said they don’t offer service to guests that stay less than 7 nights😳 they did service the room but my Kindle fire was taken I was booked for a total of 4 nights, but I left after 2 Although I did have a great experience with some of staff, I did not feel it was a hospitality driven property

Lizzy Z

The aloft is a nice and modern hotel within walking distance to the airport Interactions with the staff have been nice and they’re friendly The rooms have comfy furniture and lovely interior

I’m not a big fan of carpet so staying in a hotel with hardwood floors is an A+Although there isn’t much to do nearby the hotel provides you with board games, a pool table, and an outdoor swimming pool with a nice big patio where you can enjoy a drink and food from the barLastly, shuttle is upon request but will come and pick you up right away

Lisa Griggs

I wish I could give this place 10 starsIn fact, I wanted to write to corporate about the staff specifically which makes this place so specialHow we ended up at the Aloft was because we couldn’t get checked in at the Hyatt place next door (even though our room was prepaid for)

They couldn’t get their systems to issue keys so we went over to Aloft at 4 am – after driving all through the nightWe didn’t have a reservation at Aloft and they were full But, Jeremy helped us by moving some things around so we could easily get to bed to rest before having to head to the hospitalJeremy went way above what any staff member has ever done at any hotel I have ever seen He was kind and hospitable You can tell – he loves his jobThe hotel was so nice Very clean Dog friendly Safe SecureThey offer lots of amenities Pool, gym and a lobby full of board games and a pool tableThere is a restaurant bar on site and also a snack store downstairs that offers a wide variety of food and beveragesThe hotel is dog friendly too! So you’ll see friendly animals around from time to timeThe hotel is convenient to the airport and the Renown Reno hospital We stayed 2 different times during the week Because my father was in the hospital and it was nice to come back to a hotel that treated me and cared for me like I was their own familyI will forever be grateful for the ease they gave my family through this difficult timeWould definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Reno You will not be disappointed Fun, hip vibe

Two days stay Rooms have a nice view, amenities are numerous and prices as you may expect were near but not quite bay area pricing Service staff were well informed and quick to respond

At departure time however, the Bell service fell on their face however We called down, waited 45 minutes with no service, left the bags with our room door ajar and went downstairs Went to the Bell desk and asked them about the service for our room They responded with the name of the Bell person and that they should be down shortly An hour goes by, I returned to the Bell desk and they then inform me that despite the fact that they had told me it should be right down they weren’t allowed to actually touch the bags because no one was present As if me standing at the desk didn’t indicate that Apparently the Bell person did not inform the person at the desk there had been an issue an hour and a half ago and proceeded on their way helping other people This lapse in communication will cost at minimum 2 hours of my day and now they say there are so many people trying to check in and it may take awhile to get a bell person to me Talk about spoiling and enjoyable trip Although the manager at the Bell desk and the person at the security desk which is next door both are fully aware of this problem, nothing has been said done or offered to indicate that the hotel will be taking any responsibility for their oversight that caused the situation to occur

John M.

I loved the hotel; very family-friendly; I wish we had stayed longer The pool is very relaxing; kids enjoyed the Arcade and Bowling The front desk staffs are also amicable

Food is also good, and it’s very easy to reserve your table online But housekeeping was lacking a little bit, requested fresh new linen, but It took almost 1 hour to deliver

A F

This has to be the best casino resort out here I went to all of them and I loved this one The max action arena was awesome especially the zero latency, there’s nothing like it

Hyper bowling was a new experience for me and I enjoyed it I even watched Viva le Cirque here and gambled a bit I wasn’t expecting to win but I did and the machines were paying out more then all the other casinos put together Every employee I encountered was friendly and provided excellent service I can’t wait to go back

This is not a fancy resort hotel It is for locals and budget travellers who want a nice place to stay, but quiet and out of the tourist areas Right next to Sparks marina, so half the rooms overlook the lake

Stayed here many times over the last 3 years when purchasing and remodeling my retirement house Casino and restaurants are mainly used by locals Casino may be small, but it is nicely decorated and not a zoo like downtown casinos Restaurants are as good as in the big casinos, but much less expensive Highly recommended for people on a budget or don’t want the big resort hotel experience

Western Village is just outside of Reno, in Sparks NV Usually I’ve stayed in Reno What a blessing this place is

They were near capacity on a Mon night They gave me a marina view room Great viewThis place was wonderfully quiet Maybe because it doesn’t attract young partiers I had one of the best nights of sleep I had during my entire week long journeyThis is my new go to destination for a fab night of rest, in a clean, nicely appointed environment without spending $150 or moreSparks is a great town

provoschoolbus

DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! This place was amazing Clean, fluffy towels, extra bedding in room, coffee We had a “marina” view with no upgrade

The only reason it’s not a five star is because it needs work outside We literally almost drove away But we will definitely be staying again Not a five star hotel But really close

Stayed here for three nights Used the laundry which was really helpful for the long trip William, front desk, was incredibly friendly, helpful and patient, even when I had multiple questions over the three day stay

I did leave an item in the room and didn’t hear back about it which was disappointing but that was my organization error Really enjoyed the pool, although I called front desk one morning to ask when the pool opened, to which they said 10am so I didn’t go for a swim I later saw it had opened at 7 The location was fantastic, central and on the river The room was clean and well decorated

Rhonda H

The receipt showed that we were charged parking and I thought since we were a guest that parking was included The hotel was expensive but wasn’t good I have a disability and the door was heavy and the bed was high

There was no water pressure in the shower There was a disability seat in the shower but it wasn’t close to the soap, etc and the water got all over the floor which was dangerous It was the worse hotel that I have ever stayed in and more expensive Thanks

Very busy lobby, but otherwise calm and peaceful Parking seemed like it would be a challenge, but it was all right once we found the correct levelChecking in and out was easy, and walking around to the adjoining casinos was convenient

My service dog was accepted, with no invasive interrogationThe view was nice, and each interaction with a staff member was pleasant The abundance of restaurants, shops, and casinos made finding something fun to do easy during our stay

DDD Boyotti

I gave a score of 3 on rooms but know this hotel is under a HUGE renovation! Some parts are done but the old wings are really in need of some care Our friends stayed in the new rooms which are fabulous! The photos depict the new rooms The staff in the on site Cafe were very sweet and hard working

Parking sucks right now too, but that should all change once the renovation is complete I would/will stay here again😉

I came to Reno on business and found a good rate using one of the hotel apps When I could not find any workers to assist with parking, luggage, and directions, I knew it would be a long day This is a resort, but don’t expect “resort-like service

” I finally found a location for luggage assistance and it stated on a closed door, “Ring the door bell for service” I rang the door bell and waited and waited and waited (three security cameras are in the vicinity) When no one came, I momentarily parked the car & walked into the lobby; the bell man ignored me (remember, I rang the bell for the bell man), so I proceeded to walk to check-in at the front desk Right at this moment a tall man approached me and said that I parked in the no-parking area (he looks like security & sounds like one) I did not get any service so far, but, was recognized for parking in a no-parking area; IMHO, this hotel is backwards The first three floors are parking reserved for “7 Diamonds, Diamond Elites, & other VIPs” You have to park way at the top & take the elevator to the lobby; oh, remember where you parked In my brief assessment, this hotel caters to chronic gamblers and the likes, but not for regular guests who may travel here few times a year It’s a great business strategy to follow the 80/20 rule where 20% spend 80% of the money (the 7 Diamonds, Diamond Elites, & other VIPs), but definitely NOT FOR ME, a regular traveler the lobby and the hotel room had a stale smell If you’re on vacation or get-away to visit for fun, then, this hotel is definitely not a place for you, IMHO If you want to feel special staying in a resort, where everyone is treated like royalty, then, go to Las Vegas

Great experience! Public areas of hotel are hip and stylish We used Marriott certificates for our stay accumulated during the pandemic and still got a room with a view of the river that was nice and quiet as we requested Plus the hotel comped our breakfast for all three days – the ticket said “continental”, but it was a HUGE full, delicious breakfast which we enjoyed seated outside by the river

Dinner in The Shore restaurant was also excellent – service was attentive and professional All of the staff were nice and friendly Thank you for a much needed nice experience!

Donna Saarem

Anita in housekeeping and Morgan at the front desk were amazing and made our stay all the better! I had a cleaning issue in my room and called the front desk Anita knocked on my door within 10 minutes to resolve my issue with an apology and a big smile! You could tell she loved her work and was proud to represent the Renaissance Morgan was our bartender for our pre-event cocktail – made a great martini and beer suggestions, asked where we were from and made us feel appreciated

Such a great experience We will return for sure and are locals! Fun getaway

James Hung

The food in the R lounge was good for breakfast and the lady that ran did an amazing job She made sure tables were promptly cleared She was constantly bringing out more coffee and refilling as things were depleted

She greeted everyone with a smile and a welcoming tone She really made our stay awesome The afternoon guy was just going through the motions Did not make eye contact or say anything He looked angry all the time The room was okay with its trendy but very uncomfortable furnishings The bathroom was dirty and needed a serious cleaning

Kelly is an exceptional customer service representative for this extended stay hotel! She gave me all the information I need from prices to discounts! She also gave me the information that’s easier to understand and speaks very clearly If you work nearby the area, you get a discount as well as having AAA! There is Subway, Taco Bell(recently new) and Burger King nearby if you’re hungry There is also a gas station nearby as well should you need it

Rooms have A/C and very nice curtains to block sunlight which is perfect for late night shift workers like me The room had a mini fridge and a microwave so good if you’re an on-the-go type of person Definitely worth a try!

Stopped here during Hot August Nights to check out the cars and decided to grab a quick bite at the Deli inside Service was fast Prices were high for a sandwich spot

Quality was below average Edible since we were hungryThe hotel and Casino itself is nice and well maintained Better ventilation than most so it’s not as smokey indoors No luck on the slots here thoughWe did not stay overnight, but our friends did and this is where they prefer to stay when in Reno

Lisa F.

Everything is clean, fresh, and new Great choices for restaurants Room prices are very fair

My only complaint was that in my spa suite, the hot and cold water is switched in the bathroom sink Usually hot on the left and cold on the right, this one is backwards!Awesome jacuzzi tub in the room! Great anniversary trip!! Would recommend

Lisa Martinez

The views are nice from our room Nice pool and multiple gyms, restaurants and lounges Comfy beds and pillows

We didn’t know at first but you can request a microwave, so we did It was there within 10 minutes…anytime we requested anything it was always brought to us right away Excellent customer service The only downside was the temperature in the rooms When we arrived it was 72 degrees in the room It was dry and hot in our room while it was chilly and snow on the hills outside We turned the fan on high and the temperature down We could hardly feel any circulation It took at least 10 hours for the temperature to decrease to 67 When we turned the fan off the temperature rapidly increased to 73 We kept the fan on the lowest temperature possible for the next 4 days, 24/7 No fresh air gives me anxiety Other than that everything was excellent and I would recommend this place to anyone, especially the rooms with a balcony that are visible in the picture above

They only have one elevator As one of JEHOVAHS witnesses I proud that we were able to hold our

This hotel is aight They did a good job making my emotional support animal feel welcome There are two negative drawbacks, which I must make comment on

1- there is no lobby coffee machine You have to buy a cup from the restaurant, which is open for 3 hours in the morning That’s not great Coffee should be available in a hotel, especially a best western There are mini coffee pots in the rooms, but that’s not cutting it for the coffee aficionado2- Breakfast is only for 3 hours, at a cash restaurant

Great place to stay! Our room was really clean including the mattressyes, we are those people that check before we put our heads down

The remodel looks really nice The light colors made for a bright comfy feel Only issue is that the room doesn’t have any ventilationSuper stuffy Front desk is super friendly The Ladies that I met in Room Service are quick, efficient and all had nice personalities Thank you

Jasmin Barnes

Elevators were awful and it was not very wheel chair or stroller accessible You have to call someone to unlock the elevator for you to let you in then again to let you out The elevator wasn’t very big so we got stuck because we blocked the sensors

The elevator to our room was a normal one and we got stuck in that one too You have to use your room key then enter the floor you would like to go to One time it worked for me but not someone else Another time my family member entered her floor and it took her to 3 different floors but wouldn’t go to the one she wantedAfter driving for days to get here we were exhausted and it’s not the experience we were hoping for It was hot inside the building and the whole place smelled like strong cigarette smokeI was under the impression that it would have been a great place to take my toddlers given that they had an arcadeThe arcade was very expensive most games were around $125 to play but some were even $6! Most of the staff in the arcade seemed to be young teens that didn’t really want to be there The shows weren’t playing until later in the after noon Most of the restaurants and bars were closed If you plan on stopping in during the middle of the day there isn’t much to doIn our room the ac was broke It blades cold air and we couldn’t get it to shut off of adjust them temperature There was also dirty, used Q-tips all over the floorUsually I’m not one to complain I look at the bright side of everything This experience however made it a challenge to do so I had high expectations and felt very let down

Emily Santos

I didn’t stay at the hotel just wondered the casino The Circus area is really cool Definitely a good spot for kids

The actual casino itself is starting to look a little dated There are three casinos in a row so you can easily navigate between all of them They also offer circus shows but we were told due to Covid they don’t offer the shows every day and no one knew exactly when they had the show

The is a high rise hotel in downtown Reno Located within walking distance of the many attractions / museums / historic casinos of Reno it’s a great location for visitors My room was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable

There was a mini fridge but no microwave The room also lacked a desk to work from nor was there a clock Plenty of fresh towels The staff was extremely friendly and attentive They offer free parking in a deck that is a 1/2 block walk from the hotel Since this is in the middle of a city you need to have your head on a swivel when outside, as you would these days in any city

Sarah Hail

Really great! Met my expectations and I didn’t feel like anything that was promised wasn’t provided The woman who checked us in even provided a microwave when we asked! Room was clean and didn’t have any weird smells or stains, also a killer view of the strip at night! They were also quick to fix or provide anything requested Super nice and helpful staff

And there is easy to find, complimentary parking across the street Will definitely be back!

John Shelton

I found the rooms clean and affordable, with good staff — very professional, very courteous This was a good choice The only concern I had was auto-accessibility and parking in a congested downtown

The hotel has an arrangement with the Cal-Neva, requiring patrons to park in the next block It all went smoothly, but the garage is rundown, with a fair number of homeless along the way, and the garage itself is pretty grungy

A very nice hotel with a welcome feel My king room was spacious and clean Free breakfast in the morning is always a win for me

The staff was friendly The only negative was the location and trying to get back around 5pm, every way you go you are spending an extra 15 minutes in bumper to bumper Any other time of day was fine so not a deal breaker and not the fault of the hotel! I would stay again! Thank you

Jennifer Nicholas

My husband and I live in Utah and planned a trip w our golden retriever to Carmel, CA We needed a pet friendly hotel for outgoing and returning trips The Fairfield Inn was perfect: accommodated our request for a first floor room by an exterior door

They provide poop bags in the front and have large grassy areas Close to the freeway and decent restaurants Larry, the manager, and all of his staff were terrific in every way!! Good continental breakfast w plenty of options and snacks in the afternoons Rooms were clean, quiet and odorless Our AC’s were great You were made to feel welcome Would highly recommend this hotel regardless of whether you have a pet!

Den Star

Well, it’s pretty expensive for what you get It’s clean but it’s not great The problem is, no hot water

The front desk told me they got somebody working on it But we haven’t seen anybody I wish we had stayed somewhere else Oh well Lesson learned Next time we will try a different hotel For close to $500 for 2 nights, I feel like we could have done a lot better I guess it’s my own fault I should have done more investigating on other properties
