I have never written a bad review before online I give people the benefit of the doubt, and businesses the chance to make things right This hotel is completely mismanaged

1 When we got there the bedding had hair on it (fine, that happens, we just wanted clean bedding) and we were told to bring it down to the desk to get clean bedding- which is really odd to have to bring dirty bedding through the hotel and then remake the bed with clean bedding from the front desk I didn’t complain or plan to, because in the big picture, not a big deal2 The fire alarm went off the first night around 1am (waking my three kids including one with severe special needs who didn’t go back to sleep well) After going out to the car and waiting for the firefighters to give us to okay to go back in, the front desk staff informed everyone in the lobby that someone left the pool door open and the steam triggered the alarm Again, I was frustrated, but also just grateful everyone was safe and not going to complain3 However, the second night the alarm went off AGAIN at about 1am This time we did not go to the car because the front-desk staff was very apologetic that the pool door was propped open again out of their sight and was steam that triggered the smoke alarm again They assured us we were safe to stay in our room We had paid $450 to SLEEP and ended up getting almost no sleep two nights in a row (for us or our kids) Now I was planning to complainAfter many attempts to speak with a manager, I finally got an email response from the management company- the hotels response was “not our fault” They said that a kid had pulled the alarm the first night and that there was mandatory testing the second night (by the alarm company or fire marshal) The story changes depending on who you talk to What stayed consistent was that since “it was not their fault” and “not in their control” they did not owe us anything for a completely awful stay They offered me a 30% refund, which I agreed to- but then when I followed-up indicated the check is only for $60 (~14% not 30%) Moreover, over a week later we have not received it This is terrible customer service from a staff that appeared to be poorly managed

All I can say is that we were extremely satisfied while staying at this hotel The lobby is beautiful and the fireplace in the evening was absolutely comforting in the winter nights we stayed I cannot come and the staff enough for going out of their way to make us comfortable and making sure that we all had a wonderful stay

One thing that really stood out to me was that the owner or manager was always there and would make sure everything was up to par Places like this stand out to me and anytime we are back in the area at Ohio Health we will definitely make it a point to stay at this hotel even if it is out of our way

The price is relatively low in the area, and as a business traveler this lures you in as you’re trying to save the customer money where you can while still staying at a trustworthy brand that is conveniently booked Simply put: I’m trying to build IHG points and the app is easyThe front desk staff and lobby are lovely, check in was quick and convenient

At this point I have stayed twice at this location in about three weeks, showing I was willing to give the room roulette a second chanceMy biggest gripe which is minor but is worth noting is that when I am tasked with staying away from home I prefer to bring my work or personal laptop with me and I need at bare minimum a place to sit and function comfortably I believe that is the industry standard, and after nine years of business traveling at primarily IHG and Hilton locations I would rather have a nice desk with a mesh office chair with the last guy’s crumbs in it than this location that offers a two or three foot square coffee table and two stiff chairs with dead cushions that feels like you are sitting on grated wood There was barely room to fit your knees between the table legs and I needed to place a pillow on the chair to sit at any lengthI’d rather pay more and drive further than stay here until they update the rooms

The staff are friendly and helpful The location is really nice with a fair amount of dining near by The rooms are in ok shape, not incredible, but reasonable

The hot breakfast is not the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had, but it’s not awful On the whole, this Homewood Suites is just fine I’ve stayed there quite a bit in the last 2 months and it’s a tolerable home away from home

Cindy S Barker

Suite is perfect with full kitchen and fireplace Staff was really caring and service oriented Manager, Justin a very open and friendly gentleman was present and on top of things so I saw no issues

Housekeeping staff was amazing and very helpful I especially appreciated Ibn I am currently using a walker and he went out of his way to open doors for me and to make sure i was comfortable Ibn is also the reason the public areas sparkle Girls in housekeeping are friendly an good at what they do Give them all a raise We’ll be back!

Aarin Pesko-Morales

My overall experience at this location was positive but was disappointed by the lack of attention to detail regarding room cleanliness (M&M candy on floor near refrigerator and dirty top of refrigerator) This location has a Whole Foods that is very convenient The fitness room says 24/7 but was not

Self check-in and room key via phone worked and was a huge plus

Location location location! We have stayed here twice and both were excellent Both were for events at The Shoe and you can’t beat being able to walk right over Rooms are clean and have a great layout

Easy and secure parking at no additional cost Check in friendly and accommodating Yes, smaller than a typical hotel room but lots of bang for your buck!

Joanie Sturgill

I took my 16 year old daughter to CBUS for a weekend getaway and stayed at The Urban We had a great time and enjoyed the hotel Yes, the rooms are small but comfortable

I appreciated the espresso machine in the room It’s well decorated and has a good vibe There are also quite a few perks in the hotel such as a hot tub, hammock, gym, game room, plenty of shared kitchens and space to relax outside of the room The staff were friendly Having a parking garage was also nice

Ashley Bartholomaus

As soon as we got to the hotel the south was very helpful and kind Our room was adorably small, and had plenty of amenities to make sure she was comfortable The grounds are well cared for and the location is walking distance to many restaurants and a CVS

We love the courtyard in the rooftop deck It’s in Columbus we will absolutely be staying there again

Sonny was very nice and very helpful The only thing I do have a problem with is that I was in a rush to get out of there and they were in a rush to get the luggage carts back in and very carelessly we’re not paying attention and the luggage cart I’m not sure whether it was push or fell into the back of my car and broke off my hatch cover panel so I cannot open my trunk I am still waiting on them to call me back as far as what they’re planning on doing about this

But overall a nice hotel

Lakisha cornelious

Never got anyone to clean the room, we had stayed there for 4 days no one ever cleaned the rooms plus never gave us any towels and when we went and asked the front desk they said that they didn’t have any more that they had to be washed this was so not good at all we had to go to Walmart and buy us some towels and wash clothes the tub was dirty we had to buy bleach and clean the tub out clean the pots and pan they were dirty

Candy Dooley

Ok so after a wonderful night in the city, I was beyond the Intoxicated level you make a drive back home So being responsible, I stopped off at this hotel The staff was so friendly and helpful

Room was beautiful and very clean And Breakfast layout was nice the following morning I appreciate the staff being so understanding and friendly I will definitely be back to stay at your location in the future 😇

When we entered the lobby with our four-year-old son around 8pm, there was one person in line in front of us No one was at the front desk After entertaining our son for a few minutes, I looked up to see an angry-looking man walking briskly toward us, saying, “You didn’t have to yell

I was just making a fresh pot of coffee!” (No one had been yelling, although our son was talking excitedly as he explored the space)We checked in without further incident and made it to our room It appeared clean for the most part, but there was something that looked like poo on the toilet We inspected the room more closely for cleanliness and didn’t see any other issues, so we cleaned the toilet ourselves and stayed in the room We requested different pillows and had to go to the front desk to get then They had no one to bring them upThe room was comfortable and quiet We tried to eat breakfast in the restaurant the next morning, but no one appeared to be working After waiting about five minutes, we decided to eat elsewhere Everything was fine, but they are clearly understaffed, which is understandable with Covid restrictions

I was pleasantly surprised during my one night stay at here Owens the staff member who checked us in was very pleasant and friendly Our room was very clean! The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner worked

The only small issue was that the body wash, conditioner and shampoo bottles that are fixtured to the shower wall were all empty, but we only stayed one night so it was not that big of a deal I will remember this place for my next stay in Columbus

Odessa Walker

The rooms were clean, the customer service was EXCELLENT!! After having a bad experience with the hotel next door, it was a breath of fresh air to come over to the Fairfield Inn because they were very accomodating and just all around kind & respectful We were there due to a loved one being hospitalized at the near by hospital They gave us the medical rate and the shuttle service carried us back and forth to the hospital all the way up to 11:00pm!!There is nearby eating places in walking distance which is very convenient especially if you don’t have your own transportation

The interaction with staff was always professional and helpfulDue to what we were Going through with our loved one, we needed a place of peace and relaxation every night and Fairfield Inn did exactly this for us!! HOSPITALITY AT IT’S BEST!!

Sephora Mentado

It was a great stay! The staff was super nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable We stayed for a concert and they provided a complimentary shuttle! Saved us some money and time on parking & helped with reducing the amount of vehicles for the event They replenished some breakfast items even close to the end! Whirlpool was not super hot though, still relaxing

Excellent customer service, room was clean and spacious Enjoyed the hot tub in the room The breakfast was good and enjoyed the gym

The location is in a decent spot but the current construction on the main road makes it hard to accessOur room included a sleeper sofa but no linen for it and was missing toiletry but overall was a good experience

Reservation, check in, & check out were easy & straightforward & the staff was very polite & helpful Hotel is located right across the street from several gas stations & fast food restaurants, which was very convenient The lobby, hallways, & rooms were clean, warm, & well-maintained, & the bed was clean, comfortable, & smelled like lavender

My only complaint is that the hallways smelled like marijuana There were a variety of hot & cold breakfast items, all of which were fresh & tasted good If I’m ever in the area again, this is where I will be staying 🙂 Thank you!

I stayed here last night and loved it! The young man with blond hair who greeted us at the front desk made us feel welcome and well-taken care of When we had a small issue with our room, he rectified it immediately and made us feel at ease I really appreciated the soft lighting and silent ambiance of our room; it was perfect after a long day of running around the city

I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Columbus, and would absolutely stay here again myself

Joe Eide

Great place to stay, as we stayed here for a baseball tournament in the area with our entire team of 11 year old boys (also during the weekend of the Memorial) They have a very nice patio and pool, as well lobby, and breakfast wasn’t too bad either I definitely recommend staying here for a night, weekend, or however long you will be in town

There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance, and for those that feel the urge, there is a Dave and Busters within walking distance I will definitely stay there again, as I often come down for the Memorial TournamentI also have to add that Leo, at the front desk, is such a great person and made us feel very welcome

Nihu’s Honey Gurls

This hotel is awesome It definitely bought normalcy back from the Covid madness The hotel is very clean and well kept

I received an exemplary greeting at the front desk upon my arrival for my son’s wedding After I had gotten settled, in my room that was perfectly cooled with the air already set, I received a text message asking if everything was to my satisfaction That has never happened in any other Hilton brands in which I’ve stayed I thought it may have been auto generated but responded anyway Nope! It was not automaton A real live person (Meca) responded back accordingly Impressive customer service I love it! The room was beyond perfect for what I neededThe bed was comfortable and slept really well I love the entire room set up The light in the restroom to assist with steaming my dress was a very nice surprise and much neededWhen I went to breakfast I was greeted with a very friendly and genuine “good morning” from Tiauna She greeted every single person who came in with the same genuine greeting I even heard her explain the extra charges (hold for incidentals) to someone who had inquired of her She did not refer them to the front desk for assistance She went above and beyond her duties Love it!Thank you Hilton for restoring my faith back into your brand This was going to be my last stay as I just had, within the last month two bad experiences with two of your other hotels I’ve been an exclusive Hilton brands user/ member for over 30 years One of your hotels canceled my reservation for a meeting room that was to be used for rehearsal dinner 3 weeks before my son’s wedding due to upcoming (but couldn’t tell me exact date because she did not know) renovations I found this unacceptable We lost money on booked vendors due to late notice and had to just go to a restaurant for the rehearsal dinner This is NOT what we wanted The other hotel canceled my reservation completely, without notice until the morning of my scheduled arrival due to my credit card not been updated due to my oversight after my personal information was stolen You send many emails and I believe a courtesy email would have been nice I found it strange that they were trying to run my card anyway since I had not checked in This hotel did not do that In fact my card was scanned, by myself, upon my arrival That was another plus for this hotel I hope whatever training was done for the employees here is implemented throughout your brand Whoever manages the Hilliard Ohio location deserves a bonus for themselves and their employees Thank you team Hilliard for a great stay You’ve restored my faith in Hilton brands

When you are traveling and Life is throwing curveballs at you left and right, one after another, you just want to get to a hotel that is clean and quiet This is how our day was today However, it was our great luck that we had chosen to stay at this hotel

The decor is modern, the parking is great, and there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby We had a great view of the Olentangy River from our room The beds were comfortable with nice linens, clean floor, and clean bathroom with the standard toiletries and hair dryer Bonus – we enjoyed an early check-in with no line The front desk staff was precise and efficientWorthy of mention was Katie, the Front Desk Manager She was cordial, polite, and conversational Her kind words and actions certainly earned the entire experience at Hampton 6 stars out of 5 !

Angela Purtell

My husband and I spent two nights at this location while attending a family wedding We always enjoy staying at Hampton Inns, and this property had the comfortable rooms and amenities that we’ve come to expect from the Hampton brand There were a few minor issues that prevent me from giving five stars and had me considering a three star rating

First, our room did not have a shower curtain, making it difficult to keep the bathroom floor dry during a shower We arrived very late at night after several long days of travel, so we simply didn’t have the energy to look into fixing this issue as we mostly wanted to use the room to rest before the wedding we were attendingSecond, my husband, who never complains about his interactions with businesses and tends to give those with customer facing jobs the benefit of the doubt, had a brief but unpleasant interaction with a member of the breakfast staff He tells me they were speaking to him like an employee and not a guest, complaining that he had not replaced a lid on the eggs being served I later observed another member of the breakfast team speaking abruptly and appearing very stressed, leaving me to wonder if this very busy area is understaffedFinally, housekeeping opened our door twice without knocking, entering the room unannounced the second time Once is a mistake, but the second time makes me think this is a lack of proper training or a lack of organization, especially since there’s a message in the room saying they will not provide housekeeping during your stay unless you request itAll of these issues are minor, and we really did enjoy our stay, but I think this property and its staff have some room for growth

Chasidy Perkins

My family and I stayed here for my son’s two day football camp and it was a pleasant experience The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the continental breakfast was amazing! Very close to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center if you need to go there for anything The only down side I had was that they didn’t have a hot tub but they did have a nice pool

I would recommend this hotel to others who need to stay in the area Also, try the restaurant, Roosters which is in walking distance, it’s great!

Stay was fine until we tried to get hot water for showers Had to ask for another room to try and shower in but also no hot water there We were refunded for the stay which was great but definitely an inconvenience and we were late to our event Sunday morning

Nice hotel layout with the pool location Exercise area could use some attention Probably would if given a 5 if we had hot water

Kathy Mayer

I thought that the rooms were fine, but had a few details and suggestions to share First, the positive: The night desk person (Devon) was absolutely a delight He was kind and friendly, so just the kind of person you would want to greet guests

The breakfast buffet was disappointing Mini omelets with Velveeta type cheese in the middle were not hot and cheese not melted Potatoes were good and French toast sticks ok No bananas or other healthy options NOT worth $1200 My advice is to just serve the usual cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, etc that lower cost hotels offer I noticed that not many guests ate the buffet breakfast We ate from it the first day, then brought back breakfast sandwiches from a fast food place and bought bananas Regards, K Mayer

Casey

Surprised I didn’t see any other reviews complaining of the noise, but the walls in this place are paper thinWe could hear every word of the conversations in the rooms on either side of us, and these folks weren’t being loud at all… Luckily no one was using the pool late, because the sounds from the hallway are worse

Needless to say, we slept terriblyThe walls in the room and the bathroom were dirty with splatters and random stainsThe beds were fine There’s a small Starbucks in the lobby, which is nice

I expect more when I visit AC properties The location is great and the front desk staff is friendly and accommodating The food options were limited as we visited on a Sunday evening during COVID, which is fine However, the rooms themselves seemed to be quite dirty for a newer hotel

The cleanliness was more in line with what I expect at a Days InnThe room I was initially given had a stained mattress, so I requested a new room and noticed this room had red stains in the exact same spot next to the nightstand Apparently the construction of the bed leads to any spills on the nightstand staining the mattress a blood red color since the bedframe and nightstands are connected They could mitigate this by putting washable bed bug covers on the bed, but instead they have cheap torn mattress covers that don’t protect the much of anything We also noticed that the floors in the room were very dirty in both rooms and our feet tended to stick to the floors We walked on them briefly in white socks, and noticed right away that our socks were turning black from the dirt We made sure to wear our shoes the rest of the nightAlso, when booking on the Marriott app as a gold member during a low vacancy time period, I listed a high floor, extra pillows and a crib or pack and play as my requested preferences; none of those were accommodated without me having to request them again after checking into our room when we noticed they weren’t there It wasn’t a big deal, but would have been nice to have them available as soon as we arrived since we were tired and wanted to put our newborn to bed

The AC Hotel was the hotel we had our wedding hotel block at, and they were absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish! Shay was so responsive and so helpful with all of the set-up And all of the management staff went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel welcome and taken care of Would absolutely recommend working with this group!

Neelam Patel

The hotel is new, looks great, love the king bed room with a sofaBut special mention to Ali and their friendly staff Ali made us feel extra welcome and was honestly a reason we would come back here sooner

Unfortunately we did have a guest who was staying above us walk around til 1:30am and woke me up in the morning too as I’m a light sleeper But I think that can happen any place

Staff has been great Staff aside, this hotel is complete garbage We booked through Expedia and I didn’t realize the breakfast wasn’t included

They want $1250 / person to eat (no free coffee either) Our room A/C isn’t keeping up, it’s warm, our A/C unit is leaking, causing the carpet surrounding the A/C to be SOAKED (I’m sure it is also moldy) and our bathroom smells like wet dog Also, when you turned the shower on, it sounds like 1,000 bees behind the shower wall (there aren’t actually bees, it is just really obnoxious) The toilet runs and runs and runs I’m just flabbergasted they have the audacity to ask for $1250 / guest for breakfast on top of our already expensive booking costs when our room isn’t even worth $170+ a night We’re paying $37609 for two nights here Which also makes no sense seeing as how our booking through Expedia was only $34192 Just overall NOT PLEASED with our stay here in any way, shape or form **WOULD NOT RECOMMEND**

I came for a professional conference, stayed 2 nights The room appeared clean, until I noticed an odd stain next to the bed, and on the curtains The room could use some updating and repair to the furniture

The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet Breakfast buffet was good The conference rooms on the ground floor were freezing every time I went in for a session It was 90 degrees outside, and I was looking up the closest place to buy a jacket Overall, not a bad place to stay, but I expected something a little cleaner for the price

Room was nice and clean, had plenty of space for a hotel room The cable had been disconnected but was hooked back up by the staff after we called We stayed over a weekend and the pool is warm and clean but there’s no towels available unless you ask at the front desk

Staff doesn’t enforce any pool rules so noise and occupancy gets crazy in there Staff doesn’t monitor any type of noise in the hotel at all either There were kids and adults hollering in the lobby and running the walkways until almost 1am The bar in the lobby is nice but when people blare music and scream all not, it makes the evening less than enjoyable Parking is 10 bucks a night and we were charged a different rate for the room each night we were there Decent hotel if you only consider room condition but I won’t stay there again due to all the other issues

This was our first time staying at a Drury Hotel I have to say I was a big fan We had spent the entire day at the Aviation Museum and were completely exhausted and we were starving

We arrived to check in right around the time of the afternoon buffet It was so nice for our family to be able to eat on site and to not have to head out or wait for a delivery There were plenty of options for everyone The food wasn’t anything fancy but we were completely content The kids also enjoyed taking popcorn back to the room It was also nice to have a breakfast buffet with plenty of options before we headed out to the zoo The check in and out was quick amd easy The room was very clean The price for our stay was very reasonable If you have kids I highly recommend for an extra easy stay

Stayed here for 1 night because we decided to check out the local zoo We were promptly greeted with a smile The receptionist was very nice

The room was nice, clean, stocked and the bed was very comfortable They had a couple of nice extras one they called a kickback Fresh food from I believe 5pm -7pm Then a nice fresh breakfast in the morning Now the downside The TV in the room was outdated It would have been nice to have been able to Bluetooth from my laptop what I wanted to watch due to the lack of anything good on that night Then there was construction going on that was a little noisy at times They have a pool but it was closed due to the construction Even if it was open probably would not have used it due to it only being 3ft deep and not very big at that The mini fridge in the room was not even on upon check in So the drinks we put in it would not get cold Overall it was a comfortable stay If your looking for a hotel with a pool I would not recommend this one If your looking for great hospitality, very comfortable bed and good food this is the spot I even used a black light in this room to check for cleanliness and found few missed opportunities

I mostly so angry that this place is amazing, but doesn’t have free breakfast I get that they need to doubt you in every single place that they can, but really? Breakfast? Come onBut how can I say that when the meal was so freaking amazing

My stay was amazing! I’m so angry that I loved it so much but the price killed me But it was worth it Lol

Very nice hotel not too far off the toll road My kids were amazed that there were people in suits since we don’t usually stay in fancy hotels The property is shared by a Residence Inn, which might have slightly lower prices

The pool is a little small but was good enough for our needs The executive lounge (if you have enough Marriott status) offered a very good breakfast that filled up all my kids

Stayed here while my daughter and I visited OSU

was very impressed ! Rooms are clean and spacious and quiet The bed was super comfortable ! Staff was very accommodating especially the front desk people At first, I had trouble finding parking until I realized they have a huge lot in the back Bar is nice too – we only had their continental breakfast for $13 so can’t really comment on the restaurants However, I would advise eating at a local restaurant as so many great options in Columbus

For a Marriott Hotel, I expected a lot more I’m going to give a fair list of Pro’s and Cons’sPros- Hotel is beautiful, truly feels like your classic Marriott hotel Very modern and updated, lobby furniture is comfortable and lots of plugs

– Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating Nothing felt like a hassle or like we were wrong for asking a question, they were fantastic!-Rooms were clean and well kept upon arrival-Pool was Heated-Fitness center had fresh water and had a decent amount of machinesNow for cons which unfortunately there are more than pros, in order from least importance to most importanceCons-There was no microwave in the rooms Not a big deal but if you’ve already had a shower and you’re in your pj’s, it’s kind of a hassle to put on some sweatpants or a jacket to walk all the way downstairs to the lobby, make your food, and then take it back up At that point it’s not even really hot anymore-Despite the pool being heated, the AC was blowing in the room with the pool which made it kind of cold despite the water being warm-Pool was very small I understand this is more of a “conference” hotel but for a hotel of that size, it should have most definitely been larger-There was no Jacuzzi/Hot tub It’s like they think corporate people don’t like to sit back and relax either, I was very disappointed about that-I didn’t expect complimentary breakfast but holy cow it was $1295 per person if you wanted it And it wasn’t made to order You could walk next door to Bob Evan’s and get a made to order breakfast for about the same price or about $2 more- The shower head had very low water pressure Thankfully my father was traveling with me and was able to tighten it and fix it but if it had just been me I would not have been able to reach it or known to fix it like that-The bathroom door is a sliding glass barn door While it looks cool and is nice, since there is no real door, you can hear everything from the bathroom in the room……-The hotel is very large and the lack of signage makes it very confusing! They need to hand out a little map to everyone when they check in I know many people who got a lost in these combined hotels on this trip Even the elevators were confusing cause they all have weird quirks to them-In order to get daily housekeeping you have to call down to the front desk and “request” it This doesn’t necessarily bother me as they may not have enough resources to clean everybody’s room everyday However if you are someone that wants fresh towels each day you need to request housekeeping What DID bother me is that no one had informed us at check in or any other point that we had to call down and request daily housekeeping Once again, my issue isn’t having to request it, it’s that no one let us know we had to request it in order to receive the service Towards the end of the first day we called to the front desk and asked why there hadn’t been any housekeeping that came by and that’s when they informed us- and put us down for daily housekeeping after that-This is my biggest grievance The temperature and climate in the rooms is out of control The room was literally humid Like the air was thick and damp Made it very hard to sleep The only thing that kind of helped the humidity in the room was turning the air on but oh my gosh it was freezing! There’s only two settings for the AC and the one that blew the air less made the room extremely humid and the other blew freezing cold air on your face the whole night, no matter which way you turned the vents We even tried adjusting the temperature and turning off the fan but it didn’t do much Ultimately left with a choice of freeze or struggle to breathe Absolutely horrible It was not just our room We traveled in a very large party and everyone else said the same thing I literally asked everyone in our party- no jokeI’m giving it a solid 3 out of 5 For a “luxury” brand it was not a “luxury” experienced but it could have been much worse I would not stay here again given the choice
