If I could put negative stars I would! Our room had NO towels When we called down to ask for some, no answer on the phone When we walked downstairs, nobody was at the desk…we waited for 45 minutes for an employee

Nobody ever came! Our room had RAZOR BLADES on the floor Hair clumps LOTS of hair clumps in the bed! Nobody cared when we called to bring these items to their attention We were simply told “Oh yeah, this is common for our hotel Nothing unusual there!” Management will not call us back and bother to even try to make things right! We paid $300 for one night in the most DISGUSTING and FILTHY hotel ever I do NOT recommend this place at all!!!!! GROSS

Room smelled wierd The pillows were missing pillow covers and the sheets looked kinda dirty There was a hair scrunchy in the shower from the prior guest

We had to make multiple trips to the front desk to address this Customer service was good but I wish they paid better attention to cleanliness so it would avoid the trouble of bothering them to fix Will most likely not be staying here again

D Haigler

Our stay started off by entering a room that wasn’t prepped for a stay, the couch and table were flipped as if someone just got done with sleeping in the room So we had to go back and show the front desk and they gave us a new room Got all tucked into bed when we woke up the AC had gone out in the room to another room move so we moved rooms in less then 24hr period very inconvenient

When we finally got settled in the 3rd floor was very very hot and it had an odor as smelled if they just did a carpet cleaning, and with 100degree heat it didn’t mix well I would truly say that The gentleman at the front desk his name was Felipe helped us with a friendly smile and felt like he was doing everything in his power to male us feel welcome But overall wasn’t satisfied with the hotel The last thing that was inconvenient, in the description they had a spa but when we went out to check it out it was cemented in which sucked

It’s not about good or bad with this place It’s a niche hipster paradise experience so either it works for you or it doesn’t It’s kind of that simple so just know going in

The rooms are ridiculously kitschy and flamboyant and the outside amenities are fun like a hot tub, grill room, game room, ping pong table, so if you do actually decide to chill there’s plenty to do there They even have a kitchen that served a better breakfast than we could get in townSo the rooms have a musky cabin experience so it’s not not super sterile hotel situation Think of it like staying at a friend’s cabin I really enjoyed it but if I was looking for more posh comfort I would not stay thereWe stayed in the Dolly Room Great space Little dusty but remarkably clean considering all the carpeting This room offers a private Mountain View (and the ability to meet the day outside on your porch Al natural!) but that also means that the sun lights (heats) it up early so have an eye mask!(FYI I’m undecided on the whole seated shower/tub situation— And would not take a bath in a region suffering from drought—Ultimately you guys should probably just install a proper shower)

Super fun and quirky place to stay Make sure to read all the policies and make reservations in advance Really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and chatting with other guests

All the important things were super clean like bathrooms and the ash trays which were everywhere (very convenient) some other things were in need of attention like the floors could use some deep cleaning and the outdoor stairs could use some paint Staff was super nice and friendly, and the breakfast food was great, the coffee really is damn fine Loved that they offer complimentary level 2 EV charging, that made my trip so much less difficultAll in all, we had a great time and are looking forward to returning in November when it’s a little cooler

Jessica

Hicksville was AMAZING! I was extremely worried about the policies, honestly if you’re looking for photos to take; seriously go into town It’s just as interesting and lovely as Hicksville Pines itself and you can respect their policies It’s a total win-win

Our room was lovely and so was the view, we adored Norma (the cat), our innkeepers, and neighbors for the weekendWe received our Welcome Weed after a nice tour around the property/our room, which was so nice!We would’ve given this experience a 5/5, however there were just minor bumps Understandably so, there was quite a bit of merchandise out of stock The key tags seemed to be very popular! But it was a little disappointing to see our room tag wasn’t availableShirts weren’t in in stock in our sizes, colors for grinders weren’t available, and there was a tiny delay in lighting the fireplace; due to the new upgrades to the system it runs on The Rec Room is a little humid, but that’s normal for these kinds of entertainment rooms in our experience These things are very minor! And especially the fireplace issue, thank you for upgrading your cabins and striving to improve your guests’ stay We were happy to be a part of the learning processNext time we come back hopefully we can snag one of the very popular key tags, and possibly a few shirts See you next time!

We had an amazing time in this cozy cabin Bed is super comfy, couches are comfy, it had everything we needed Wish I’d known there was a full on kitchen and a Keurig I would have definitely made more use of it

Close walk to the town Overall we loved it Management was in constant communication with us and we really appreciated it We will definitely be returning Thank you!!

Mia J

Nice place to stay, beautifully decorated and good amenities however we couldn’t sleep at night because PINE CONE room does not have blockout curtains and it faces a street light, the room is terribly bright all night long Oddly, there’s only a single floor lamp to light the whole bedroom/lounge area also, making functional activities at night impossible The pictures show other lights by the bed and on the mantle but these are no longer in the room

If you’re going to stay I would recommend a different cabin

Matthew Stroud

We stayed in Cedar Den The room was clean as were the linens and the towels The kitchenette was well stocked for almost any kind of cooking

It was quiet (except for the frogs outside!) That said, there is some room for improvement In the bathroom, the toilet seat was loose, there was no toilet paper holder, there was no shelf or other horizontal surface to put things on other than half of the toilet tank lid, there was no soap available at the sink (one had to use the soap in the shower), there was no towel bar (only 2 garment hooks on the door) There were no bath towels, only bath sheets, which we found ungainly to use, and the shower curtain didn’t fit inside the shower unit so that there was a lot of water on the bathroom floor after each shower The lone electrical plug in the bathroom was loose and the bathroom window had no screen In the main bedroom, the ceiling fan appeared to be hanging by exposed wiring, the pillows were enormous and extremely hard In the smaller bedroom, both beds were wobbly and creaky, and there was only one outlet in the room There were ceiling fans in both bedrooms, but only one undersized AC unit in the living room (and it can get to 100 in Idyllwild); likewise the only heater was in the living room, with no heat source in the bedrooms We both suffered from allergic reactions to the strong disinfectant smell as well as the potpourri and decaying orange slices that were part of the decor Finally, the parking place for this unit is wedged in between a sharp drop-off and a large tree Most of these inconveniences could be easily fixed, thus making a night’s stay much more pleasant

I had a king size, non smoking room and the bed was comfy and very easy to sleep in The TV had satellite, so lots of channels to choose from All the staff I met were extremely kind and helpful There was a hot breakfast in the morning and it was great Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, a variety of toast/bagels, cereal, coffee, juicesI can keep going The quality and variety of the breakfast made the cost of the hotel even more of a value

Terry Miller

I enjoyed our stay staff was very helpful and nice Marcus and Vicky went above and beyond their jobs and helped us out with getting to and from the airport when needed They truly need raises And sweet Sandra housekeeper she really kept our room very clean

Owie26

So we stayed here over the president’s weekend and there are a few minor problems First we asked for a room with a king bed and sofa bed, the king bed is fine but the sofa bed is in terrible condition Out of 8 spring only 2 were there so a fee times my son would slip through the big hole

The pool is not heated ao its very cold and unuseable and jacuzzi is not working Their phone needs the cocer panel It’s not all bad, their breakfast is good and their customer service is very nice

Overall: A+!Cannot recommend this place enough!!! Im a long distance hiker & this place is wonderful 4 hiker boxes (1 for loaner clothes, 1 for shoes, 1 for gear, 2 for food) & they are super friendly I overheard them saying they had closed a deal & are selling to a family to take over next year & they hope they will be just as down to earth as they are

Wi-Fi is good & the place is close to most of the restaurants/services in townLaundry done in an hour & done well My room was pretty big & especially so for the price Would absolutely come back here & they have multiple housing options depending on your budget

Bonnie Gleicher

Obsessed with this place! When we first arrived to our room (the Bear’s Den), we thought it was a little more rough and tumble than we’d likeHowever, after a day, this spot became so cozy to us It’s a little studio room with a microwave and fireplace and the closeness to town cannot be beat! We even had our own patio

The best part is their lobby, which around Christmas time is unbelievably magical and has two pianos we played and sang on We met some of the other guests and had a ball, and it ended up being our favorite moment of the trip! The heating in the room is strong and fierce which we loved when the temperatures dropped at night The bed is firm and comfy5 stars!!!!

Sonia Castillo

This place was excellent 👌 full of character and charm We got one of the smallest cabins but it was perfect 🥰 it was quite and the views were breathe taking the coy fish pond was beautiful just to sit there and watch them was very relaxing Everything was good personally their coffee is one of the best coffees I ever had

They had me drinking coffee 3 times a day Would love to know the name of the coffee for sure

Food choices are decent and there is no bad food to be had Floor staff are always present and helpfulValet or Self Parking with easeWorth a visit or stay Outlet Stores are very close and everything is freeway adjacentI look forward to staying in the hotel for a 3 day weekend to give an expanded review

We are not regulars here just passing throughI thought it was very clean, And definitely a lively casino with a lot of patrons Look like it had some good dining choices

Never made it past the casino floor to any of the rooms Security wouldn’t let us view the pool area Staff at the store we stopped in was very nice

I went to the Morongo Casino and Spa with friends and had a great time This hotel, casino, and spa, is a world class destination in a beautiful setting in the California desert The hotel tower rises like a Phoenix in the desert, and there’s a gorgeous pool and spa

It was snowing in the mountains the day I visited and it was cold outside while it was warm in the casinoThe gaming floor is huge and a high tech wonder! All the slot machines are video based with colorful displays that are amazing You can gamble a penny, a nickel, quarter, dollar, a ten, or twenty on up In other words, there is something for everyoneThere’s plenty to do! With slots and table games including blackjack, video poker, and several bars and a multitude of restaurants, you never have to leave If you do want to explore, one of the largest outlet malls in the United States is right next door, and there’s a Starbucks right there too Plus Palm Springs/Hollywood East is just 20 minutes away by carAdmittedly, I’m not a gambler, though me and my gambling friends had fun at the Morongo Casino! Be sure to visit and tell them Roy sent you! Cheers!

We hit a little snafu with the limited parking and our cargo trailer but Adam was able to suggest a solution that worked perfectly

I rate a 4 because the pool was not open When Every other motel had thier’s open The lady stated the reason it’s closed was because the city has not approved them to open

I was so disappointed I called other motels to check That’s how I knew other pools where openOther then that the service was great Location was fine Housekeeper was awesome ✌️&❤️

Andrea Garcia

Nina, not sure correct spelling of name but she was pleasant I called in and requested early check in and she got our room ready within thirty mins and the extra towels and pillows in the room were in the room as requested when booked The beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced and we’ve stayed at higher end hotels but this was sleeping on a cloud

The room was clean and the water pressure in the shower was wonderful!! The tv is direct tv and had all the channels and the pool was enjoyable and it’s 6ft deep and the jacuzzi was hot Didn’t get to enjoy breakfast decided to sleep in a little longer but nonetheless we will be staying here again Really pleased

HORRIBLE experience Missed a wedding and weekend in the area because I was charged three times which placed me negative Heed the reviews and steer clear of this place

This is one of the few occasions where I wished I listened to my fellow commenters and DIDNT give this place a chance Ruined three month old plans Management lacks compassion and instead of trying to remedy the issue, they questioned my intelligence Spare your bad experience and book some place else I’m really considering suing this establishment for the experience I had my 6 month old son and husband with me Stranded in an unfamiliar city without funding due to incompetence and lack of compassion

Loved this place! Would stay again! We stayed in one of the themed rooms, specifically the summer room The rustic decor is lovely, and each room has a fireplace with a gorgeous hand-carved mantle They provide a complimentary bundle of wood for the first night

And then it’s $8 for an additional bundle, that they will deliver to your door if you request it The rooms were clean and comfortable The weather was great so we enjoyed sitting out in the deck under the umbrella for awhileAlso, we arrived late at night on our first night We indicated a 10pm arrival when we made our reservation The night of, the Inn called to confirm our arrival time and since the office would be closed, they left a key, map, and info for us in a specified location for when we arrived It was incredibly thoughtful and helpful! Each member of the staff we talked to was so friendly and helpful We would love to stay here again!

Elisa Flores

We love the cabins and rooms, very cozy, very clean, the staff including cleaning staff very friendly and attentive, the cabins are very complete with everything you need, the only thing I think is needed is a little more furniture in the bathrooms, sometimes it is difficult for us to store our things, they could put some shelves for example and it would be easier to put things Other than that we love to stay at this place!

Had a horrible stay here last week, my wife and I should have known what we were in for when we arrived to an empty parking lot and all the doors were locked and the place was in shambles Long story short

when the hostess did arrive later after we called, she was very rude And that unfriendly attitude continued whenever we encountered her There is a reason this place was deserted when most the other spots in town were buzzing with guest I’m sure they don’t get repeat guest at this inn

Chiara Leroy

I did a solo weekend getaway trip to Idyllwild so that I could disconnect and have some much-needed R&R Strawberry Creek delivered on that and thensome Everyone was warm and friendly and very hospitable

The breakfast was delicious The room was cozy and impeccably clean I really enjoyed my little escape and am looking forward to returning again soon!

Someshree Rampersad

Rude as hell We booked this room and drove 3 hours to get there only to be told by the most unfriendly front desk person that they have cancelled our reservation because I did not have a billing address listed, and that the roomWould not allow for 2 adults and a child She was mean to my kid, and unhelpful

She had shut and locked their doors When my husband went back to clarify, she wouldn’t even open the door Luckily We got our money back

Very cute, a short walk to town so you can leave the car and not worry about parking Staff was friendly and social but we had plenty of privacy Great little deck overlooking the hills and forest

Interior was rustic but very clean, shower looks to have been re-tiled fairly recently as it’s in great shape Great, charming place with flowering vines hanging off the roof and fat little bumblebees bumping around

Adorable rustic lodging but for the cost, there were a bigger expectations for the quality of linens, appliances and overall cleanliness Upon entry we began to notice the dust on the ceiling, the extremely worn curtains, then the holes and wear on the bed sheets Having a pet friendly room was a delight but became concerning when our pet began smelling the linens as though they weren’t thoroughly cleaned

Only booking for a night, we decided to give it a go and tried to stay positive We wound up having a restless, sleepless night We all struggled with allergies by morning and fought to get a comfortable on the mattress that are placed on simple temporary mattress frames The only real positive was the how closely it is located to everything and the provided breakfast
