The front desk woman was rude to not only me, but the bride and groom who brought in a large group of guests She was extremely unhelpful, snippy, and hostile When I went to pay for my room, she gave me a total and no explanation as to why it was $200 more than what I was told on the phone

When I asked why, she threw up her hands and yelled for Tom (I assume he’s the manager) and promptly walked away and into the bathroom Tom was great about explaining the extra charges, which took roughly 30 seconds of his time, I paid and went to my room I know the same woman was unhelpful when another member of the party asked where parking was, she pointed in a general direction and then turned and walked away without actually supplying helpful information I also walked in on her being rude to the groom who was attempting to check in on a guest that requires extra attention due to a disability If it was one incident, maybe chalk it up to a bad day, but this happened over several days and with multiple people The hotel was also not busy, so that can’t be an excuse either Overall, the hotel was okay, nothing overly outstanding and the staff was rude With the option to stay in updated hotels in the area that are in the same proximity and cost the same or less, I would absolutely not recommend anyone stay in this hotel Especially if you’re getting married and bringing in a large group

We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights Check-in was excellent and all the staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly It is an excellent location with great nearby restaurants, including its own Grossman’s restaurant

Parking was convenient and they let us keep our bikes in the room The bed was very comfortable, and after we figured out the heating/air-conditioning, the room was delightful

I have been here 4 times, all in the Carriage House which I prefer The first time I stayed in an upstairs room with big windows with no shades on Wilson St The room was cute but at night lights streamed in the big windows and the street noise from cars, garbage collection and leaf blowers in the early hours was maddening! Wilson St is very noisy!! I changed to a downstairs room off the street and this was fine

I was able to ask for and stay in similar downstairs rooms on the next two visits The last visit I again asked for one of these rooms and was told “no problem” When I checked in I was told by the desk attendant that the room wasn’t available and I was given an upstairs room instead What? I complained and she said “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” She could not tell me why the room was changed I was very unhappy but she was disinterested The room turned out to be OK but it definitely is noisier in the upstairs rooms When I checked out I again questioned this policy of changing rooms and was told “We don’t guarantee specific rooms” This attendant was also disinterested and unapologetic SoI won’t be returning here since I only want to stay in the downstairs rooms off the street And I guess I can’t trust that I’ll get the room I asked for

Beds are so comfortable room and bathrooms are spacious The pool is amazing and worm and very clean Breakfast is awesome Thank you to all the staff and Sonia she was on top of things for us I can’t wait to come back again I am so excited Thank you so much

Cheryl Vivian

The front desk clerk was amazing He was clear, thoughtful, and welcoming The breakfast was not stocked very well

The housekeeper we had was rude I left her a tip and instead of saying thank you she said oh where is it and when I told her she said fine and went straight to our room to get it I tried to find the managers email so I could let her know what happened and I could not find it so I decided to do a review I looked all over their website for it

Chuck Hardy

I’ve stayed at La Quinta Santa Rosa several times in the past The hotel itself is fine but parking has always been a problem The parking space is small and tight and there always seems to be a lot of gigantic construction vehicles parked there

So they addressed the problem by charging guests $10/night to park there That’s right – when you arrive to check in, there is a sign at the desk announcing that there is a charge to park It’s not like you have any choice but to pay it And then you get to go back out to your car to put the parking pass on the dashboard so that you don’t get towedWhat’s next – a charge to use the elevator? I won’t be staying at this La Quinta Inn again

Great hotel, great location, and the nicest staff! Huge elegantly furnished rooms with amazing windows and fun modern art on the walls Beds with giant down pillows were amazing We loved the robes and slippers, which seem rare in hotels lately

Our room had a kitchen, which we didn’t use because we were in town for Christmas with family, but I was amazed at how well outfitted it was Staff as I say was incredibly nice–special shout out to Ruth at the front desk, who couldn’t do enough for us The lobby does look kind of sparse, but the place is brand new and I was told some of their furniture orders are delayed with the supply chain backups Didn’t both us a bit because we loved everything else We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Brian & Carrie Lin

Highly recommend this hotel We had a party of three friends staying in a king + sofa bed one bedroom The room was spacious and comfortable

It was stocked with almost everything we needed and the front desk went above and beyond to help us find the things not provided We were in walking distance to several excellent dining options and a quick drive to all the wineries we had booked Ruth at the front desk deserves a shoutout – she worked with our driver Jill (Leone Wine Tours – highly recommend) to help us get our wine home safely including lending us her personal wine luggage

Walter Aguilera

Friendly staff, clean hotel and room, great location (quiet) and very comfortable beds! The pillows were so comfortable Daisy at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful There’s a nice scent throughout the hotel and in the room

They offer paid parking, but we managed to find free overnight street parking across the street Felt safe Short walk to many great restaurants, bars, and stores

While the room was clean and quiet, there is a serious need for renovation From frayed carpets, worn out furniture, water stains, and light switches that don’t work, the room should not have cost over $100 and it cost far more than that Upon arriving, the first sight was an entire side of room balconies that appeared to be repurposed as storage, with mattresses and other furniture filling up every deck

Not a welcoming start for visitors

Jaquelyne Samuelson

I showed up and was told by a woman working there that she would check me in I give her my name, and she asks if I’m sure the reservation was under that one I assured her it was and showed her my email confirmation

She looks at it and claims it didn’t show up in their system; luckily, she said something about giving me the room of someone she’d called repeatedly and gotten no response from, then stated there was an empty room that was likely mine I’m unsure which scenario was true She contacted her boss several times and asked for my phone number three times Had this not happened, it sounds like I would have been left without a place to stayand I honestly wish that had happened instead (I’d also like to note that this lady was very helpful and kind; it wasn’t likely her fault, but it still was not convenient or professional from a business standpoint)I got inside and experienced the following:-A giant wall mirror sitting on the floor-Wi-Fi that does not work-The carpet has enormous grease-looking stains -No flooring under the fridge (covered in dust and dirt)-Cobwebs and debris in the corner-A bathroom fan that did not work-Glitter on the ceilinggets all over everything-Mold on the coffee maker-Small black hairs all over the fitted sheet-Outside of the North-side stairs, there is an enormous pile of artwork and wood from furnitureit looks like stuff people would have dumped in an alleyway or around a dumpster, openly thrown by the stairs-Holes burned into the comforter-Walls/windows were practically pointless, when it came to sound reduction; you can hear EVERYTHING (people “doing it”, kids screaming, traffic, other televisions, toilets, etc)-House-keeping was insistent on having screaming conversations directly outside of the door with the “do not disturb” sign before 9am-Construction in an adjacent unit began at 8am with hammering and power toolsI left with allergies raging and covered in rashes from the unkept room, as well as exhausted from 48 hours of no sleep from the excessive noiseI have provided photos of most of the previous to management via email and on Yelp

We may be biased, but in our opinion Dawn Ranch is the best wedding venue out there Dawn Ranch is a beautifully recently renovated property with modern and updated cabins for all your guests We were so lucky to find them newly reopened with availability

It was exactly what we were looking for – somewhere were all our family could gather together for the entire weekend The staff was amazing and went above and beyond – especially Susan their on-site coordinator They were very responsive and organized and the weekend of, everything went smoothly and was ready and executed to perfection We felt very special and loved every minute We will definitely be returning for special events and anniversaries and feel so lucky to have found them!

Anant Sanchetee

This place is blissful I visited the resort last week with my partner and it felt like being transported to a peaceful haven The living accommodations are great (esp the fellow kettle, in-room pour over coffee, quality linen), food menu is straightforward and perfect, and the staff is so helpful

Apart from a serene visit, I’m going to recommend it to my corporate teams as a quintessential destination for offsite or retreats They’re in the process of setting up their own veggie garden, yoga space, and spa Can’t wait to be back

Kenya Ramirez

This spot was beautiful! Walking distance to many restaurants and shops in town We had the Sycamore cabin The cabin design is beautiful! Very minimal and neutral tones with quality appliances (mini fridge, bathroom)

You do share a wall but it’s the bathroom wall so not too much noise Right on the property there is a restaurant and bar called Agriculture Public House (closed on Yelp but definitely not closed) In the morning, we found a box filled with scones and OJ at our front door It’s a huge property so you can walk around and see the river Another plus is this place is pet friendly! We stayed for one night but we would definitely come back

We’ve stayed at a lot of “cheap” hotels and this is BY FAR the best! Clean, supportive yet soft beds, fresh sheets, great pool, and excellent customer service from front desk They have a cafe onsite and the breakfast is SO much better than traditional continental plus the service staff was super nice and helpful We’ll definitely be back

David Estes

An incredibly clean roadside motel Staff were helpful at check in Complimentary breakfast is a joke, so don’t look forward to that 🙁 There’s a bit of a weird vibe as they have a lot of long-term guests that are working in the community

Nothing flaky, all construction people rebuilding the town from the fires Just a bunch of people hanging around outside the rooms and smoking But we felt fine and safe the whole time Just not the most family friendly environment

Kimberly Karkov

Clean and nice place I am very happy with my stay here Staff is great

The grounds are well kept and the restaurant has very good food I had the pesto chicken sandwich and it was actually amazing Would definitely recommend renting a car and driving to the state parks and walking through the forest

Overall very nice stay Staff was friendly and welcoming Room was very clean and beds were comfortable

Nice convenient location Only suggestion is to avoid a room overlooking the bar/open lobby There was a very loud party happening in the bar and even though our room was on a higher floor, the laughing/screaming echoes up the open foyer Not the fault of the hotel, and I’m happy those guests were able to enjoy themselves, but had a long, early drive in the morning and they made it difficult to sleep

Tim Gladwin

Room was decent size and very clean There was a bit of noise from the pool (during the day) and from doors closing down the hall, but we slept well Bathroom ventilation didn’t seem to be working too well but no sign of mold

Reported it to the desk and they were checking it out Very handy to the Luther Burbank Center Good breakfast Ok recommend this hotel

Our family were brought back to Windsor for unforeseen circumstances but we have nothing but great things to say about staying here The welcome & hospitality we received from front desk representative Benjamin to the hospitable fruit & water on every floor as we headed to our room, to the comfort & cleanliness of our stay, to the professional & very hospitable service by Matt (the overnight gentleman) whom ensured we received the extra items we requested to complete the comfort of our stay, & to wrap things up… the delicious & fulfilling complimentary breakfast our family enjoyed before having to checkout Had we been able to have stayed longer, with the appreciated late checkout we were granted, we would’ve been able to enjoy our stay longer

It’s definitely not the last for our family & we look forward to our very soon return Thank you Ben & Matt for your genuine hospitality- The Rodriguez Family 😊

1960’s Las Vegas time warp, with a dose of kitschy mixed in That being said this resort atmosphere is not for everyone, especially if you’re looking for a quiet romantic stay When we arrived, there were long lines in the lobby and I felt like I was at a convention

Turned out there were a couple of big events going on that day a memorial service at one end of the building and a loud reunion outside their huge swimming and lounges area We were told the events would end soon, but in reality the reunion party continued on through the night The best part of our stay was at the restaurant Delicious food and service was excellent Somehow it felt separate from all the craziness going on about us A huge pool surrounded by lounge chairs with maximum capacity people sitting on the chairs, as well as splashing in the pool After dinner I asked where the jacuzzi was, and a friendly staff managing towel service directed me past a large Alice in Wonderland gray chair with a flamingo painted on it Unfortunately, the jacuzzi too was at maximum capacity So we opted to head to our room There was no number on the door to our room, which was puzzling to say the least, and we ended up having to walk all the way around the resort to find our way in The room was spartan, like a monk’s cell, and a table but no chairs Bottom line is sadly, this resort was not worth the price we paid

Coco O

The room is not updated 100% They upgraded the bathroom, room partition, bedding linens The doors, wall, baseboard, and carpet were aged

The pool area is nice with 3ft-9th pool Kids enjoyed the pool a lot I waited forever for the server to take my order, but never came Other servers came by and told me a few times that my server will come She never did I ended up going to the bar and ordered coffee to go instead of having a full breakfast No pool towels between 9pm-10pm Pool closes at 10pm so I asked for some towels only to never come Walked back to my room soak and dripping ☹️ I don’t think I’ll be back

Our second time staying here Great location right on the main strip tip: the ‘superior rooms’ (as of writing this review) are the rooms that have undergone a remodel

they’re a few dollars more, but so worth it Our room was two queen beds, cork floors (cool!) small but stylish bathroom and separate sink vanity outside of bathroom They are slowly remodeling the whole property, so if you want a new room may be worth calling to reserve The staff is lovely, super friendly and really helpful Susan was a delight to work with when called to ask about how to get a remodeled room Occidental is cute and small, w/ only one main strip that has everything walking distance-shops, grocery, and some really great restaurants Highly recommend eating at Hazel

Al Boyce

Great location and friendly staff Located in the center of town so you can park and walk around easilyIf you are a MTB rider this is a GREAT place to visit as you can park in the parking lots in town and ride trails all the way to the beach

Only 20 minutes to Bodega Bay for a beach trip or bite to eat as wellSmall unique gift shops and The Barber is very talkative and knows the area well so good source for info if neededGreat historical town

Jerry Ringel

The lodge itself was fine and the front desk person was friendly and helpful But although there are five dinner restaurants in town not one was open on the Tuesday night we stayed here None

And no bars open And the only breakfast restaurant was also closed (and the lodge doesn’t provide any breakfast So you better bring your own food or come on a weekend or peak season I guess Very disappointing

We were really excited to stay here, since it’s in such a beautiful location Unfortunately, there are plenty of other places that would be a better fit for folks Here are a few of the reasons why you shouldn’t stay here:(1) if you’re just here to stay the night – they will still charge you a $25 destination fee for a wine tasting that happens from 3 pm to 7 pm

No one told us it was happening when we booked – and we still got charged even though we checked in at 8 pm When we brought it up to the concierge after staying the night, he was incredibly rude and couldn’t take the $25 fee off(2) the map/route of the building doesn’t make sense Elevators are in random parts of the building and if you’re differently able, it’s gonna be difficult navigating the area The carpet is everywhere and hard to move luggage on(3) the key card system doesn’t work We had a room but couldn’t get to the bar, stairs, and the breakfast room through the hotel Instead we would have to walk outside to access the main lobby areas to enter – OR wait for another person to open it for you It seemed like other people of color had similar issues with their key cardsReasons why you should stay here:(1) great rooms, great atmosphere, and a small lobby bar that’s great!

Fantastic experience The front desk team did a wonderful job with the check in/check out process and always willing to help Room was clean

large and comfortable We loved the location but the freeway was a little loud when outside by the pool Food service is a little lacking on site but the quick bite by the lobby bar were pretty good and ton of local places to eat within easy walk from the hotel My only big issue would be the out dated key system Keys wouldn’t work in a lot of the outside doors and the gate on the back of the property wasn’t secure and nor was the fence that lead out to the public trailOverall really a nice property at a reasonable rate Defiantly will stay there again

I would have given 5 stars for the quality of the room and the kindness of staff However, I was charged $62 for a facility use fee which was never explained before I checked in at any time I called to ask about it and the desk clerk said he would reverse it

A week later and $34 was refunded out of the $62Lastly, I was told I shouldn’t worry about paying for the self-parking by the desk when I checked in The girl actually tossed away my exit ticket for the parking, saying I can just go through when I leave When I checked out I double checked asking again if I should keep a room key to exit with my car, but she assured me it was fine I ended up having to pay with a credit card for parking I would not have minded paying had it just been expected It was frustrating that I had to scramble at the gate to push buttons to be able to exit the lot until I paidThis would be a 5 star Hyatt if they could do away with the facilities fee (or any fee that is not explained BEFORE check in) and there should be consistent rules around parking so as not to confuse guests

We didn’t stay at the resort, we just ate at the restaurant The service was excellent Staff saw us to a table without any wait

They took our order very quickly Our drinks and food were delivered expeditiously My beer (Racer 5 IPA from Bear Republic Brewing) was delicious The appetizer was delicious, although I don’t remember what they called it All in all, a pleasant way to spend an hour chatting with relatives

The Front Room is the best bar/lounge in West County with a special nod to their bartenders Friendly, courteous, professional and they make the best espresso martini you’ve ever had And the fact they have Blind Pig on tap is just a bonus

Did I mention Happy Hour 5 days a week? I would give it a higher rating, but I’m limited to only 5

So beautiful, everyone is really niceThe restaurant is B U L L S H I TPortions are small, price is through the roof, frozen “country potatoes”

Their restaurant business model is simpleSpend all the money to make it look as nice as possible, charge based on how fancy it looks, and give college kids a microwave to cookSo horrible, but nice people and beautiful location

It is remodeled with large balcony overlooking the Russian river It was simple and very clean The views from the room are awesome The owner lady is nice We booked queen river view suite but got upgraded to king river view room The inn has historic charm The location is near to winery, lake and beach I just wish their restaurant was open We stayed at Village Inn for 2 nights for our anniversary celebration One day it was raining the whole but we had great time just sitting in the room, enjoying the rain and looking at the river view from the bed It is one of the memorable trip

This is a great hotel My wife and I got away for a weekend and stumbled across it We wanted to get a wine tour and a bike ride in on a weekend, this was the perfect spot

The staff was so nice and helpful You can tell that they are trying to restore the grounds and they take pride in the hotel Room was nice, comfy beds and nice chic look Could have possibly used one more Rug, and a full length mirror so my wife can look at outfit for the day The location was great, it was easy to get around on our bike, and the best part was the ride to Sebastopol for day or eating and drinking

Very well-kept property Digital check in and digital key were super convenient and easy on the Hilton app Room was clean and bed was super comfortable

Was nervous to hear children next door when I arrived to my room but didn’t heat a peep all night Walls are not paper thin here, as are common in most hotels Breakfast had a decent variety Safe area, brightly lit parking lot Would definitely stay again

John Buzolich

Very clean and comfortable hotel with current renovations and nice pool area We paid a ton because of limited availability this weekend in the whole area but we were still happy anyway Really saved driving time for us and the quick complimentary breakfast is a lifesaver with kids

Really appreciate having protein options at breakfast like scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs

St Pauls

Check in was friendly and efficient Room was clean with plentiful towels The A/C unit has a wood frame around it for added space to set your stuff on

The bathroom is large with nice counter-top space and a shelf above the level of the wash basin, so you can easily keep your accessory bags out of any splashed water Bed was comfortable and overnight sleeping was quiet Plenty of charging ports at bedside and on the desk This facility is well worth the money we paid (compared to another Hilton property we stayed at when coming home and traveling thru the Bay Area) Bell carts readily available when we checked in and checked out The breakfast was fabulous however, the only reason I give this property 4 stars is one of the maintenance/housekeeping workers ate her breakfast in the breakfast room along with the patrons and several of the employees came thru the breakfast room to ask this maintenance/housekeeping staff person questions Seemed a bit unprofessional Entry and exit to the freeway was a breeze–nice location
