This hotel was amazing The rooms, staff, and amenities were all great The breakfast was really good & they offered different things every morning so you aren’t eating the same thing several days in a row

( Don’t forget to bring a few dollars for the tip jar each morning, the staff definitely deserve it)The rooms were in pristine condition They smelled so clean & had a microwave & a fridgeIts also located in the perfect location! Its 10 minutes or less from all the major attractions and also offers a shuttle service to several placesWe will definitely be back soon, we can’t wait for out next trip ♡

Krysta Glass

This was our second time staying with Southern Oaks This was the first time we ate the breakfast, it was delicious all 3 mornings The pool is nice and big, great way to end the hot summer days

Great location and the shuttle is a convenient way to get to downtown (visitor center area)We brought our large dog the first time we stayed and that was also a great experience The room gets a little tight adding in the dog and her items but it was doable The dog area is nice and large The only reason we didn’t bring her this time was so we could do the non pet friendly attractions

Mandolin Ziadie

Really enjoyed our stay here The room was clean and adequately supplied for our stay The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful

Breakfast (served every morning in the dining room until 10 am) was tasty and plentiful with a lot of different options The best part was the free shuttle which runs every 20 minutes between the hotel and historic downtown, which saved us the headache of trying to find a parking space near the sites we were interested in The shuttle driver was so friendly and helpful – we really appreciated the guidance he gave us about places to eat and visit Thank you so much for an overall excellent stay

The staff was super friendly and always made sure we had what we needed The check in and out process as well as parking was extremely easy and convenient The pool is a little small but the outside area is nice and relaxing

Our room was very comfortable including the bed The shower was a little odd with no full door or curtain so the floor got a bit wet, but they give you plenty of towels so it was no big deal There are plenty of options for breakfast, and the fitness are looked great but I didn’t use it There are some cool bars and restaurants in walking distance to the hotel and the downtown area is about a 20 minute walk This is great location and we highly recommend it when staying in St Augustine

We stayed in November of 2021 and have been meaning to write this review The hotel advertised that it was recently renovated, and parts of it were but it did not feel like a new or recently renovated hotel First, we arrived very late at night after a long drive and upon arriving in our room discovered that the bathroom floor was dirty, the toilet had not been cleaned (there was visible fecal matter in the toilet bowl), and hair on the bathroom vanity

The room (and the hotel, generally) has a musty smell to it They were unable to change our rooms because of occupancy and had no one to clean the room at that time We understood it was late and resolved that it would be addressed in the morning as it was approximately 2:00 am at that point My wife cleaned the room with some wipes she had brought with her The A/C was another matter, I normally like to sleep in a cold room and set it to 68 but it never got below about 72 in the room and would even turn off I think the A/C was set to do this The following morning the manager told us that he would issue a credit ($50 or about 1/3 of the previous night’s room cost) for the inconvenience and the room would be deep cleaned We left for the day to explore St Augustine and when we arrived the room still smelled musty, the shower was improved but still had visible mold, however, the toilet and sink vanity had been cleaned We were only there for a couple of nights and decided to just stick it out for our stay Although the rooms were refreshed the A/C is definitely older and the room we were in showed signs of wear The front desk staff was nice, but our stay was awful I honestly would not recommend it, there are other, better properties to stay at in St Augustine

Simon green

Really loved this place, my wife was ill so we didn’t get out much but this is a fabulous hotel with a great location and lovely staff Check in was easy, the staff were friendly and the pool area was clean and tidy with plenty of seating Complimentary breakfast was ok with toast, bagels, cereals, omelettes and breakfast croissants

Literally a five minute walk over the bridge in to the heart of historic St Augustine but that means the location is really peaceful Good price for a modern clean and fresh contemporary IHG hotel Well done!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Casa Monica in St Augustine Florida We had the good fortune to have accommodations of a two room suite for two nights and a premier king room for the third night

Both rooms were decorated very nicely and spacious The beds in both rooms were incredibly comfortable and I have to find out where they get their pillows because they were fabulous! The common areas of the hotel carry out the Moroccan theme beautifully with architectural detail, fabulous colors and beautiful artwork The entire staff we interacted with, particularly Shane at the front desk and Charlyne, the concierge, were friendly and helpful we had breakfast every morning at the hotel restaurant and dinner one evening The hotel is incredibly well situated for guests to walk to a myriad of interesting places, attractions and museums in the like I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I’m visiting St Augustine again

Went here for our anniversary weekend and loved every minute Hotel is right in the middle of everything Hotel lounge is the perfect place to unwind and feel like you are in another country

Dress up and have fun – the piano entertainment was so fun and the drinks were perfect Pool is small but nice We weren’t able to make it to the beach club due to exploring St Augustine but it looked nice and made me want to add another night This hotel is worth it for the attention to detail and intimate setting We considered larger hotels south but I don’t think it would come close to the “escape” we had Thank you San Monica!

Judy Andrews

This place was not worth the price It’s a nice hotel in a great location, but for the price we expected a little more Everything felt like they were flying by the seat of their pants

We arrived at check in time 4pm Our room wasn’t ready Nearly 2 hours later of us sitting in the lobby with our luggage, our room was ready We were late for dinner reservations and had to rush off in our travel clothes We asked the next day to not have our room cleaned, but they showed up and did it anyway Our check out day, they were knocking on the door at 8am to clean our room Checkout is at 11?! The rooftop pool had a bar, but the guy did not seem interested in serving anything Felt like we were bothering him Our room was spacious, but the furniture was worse for the wear and our shower leaked They did comp us a bit on our first nights stay, but we’ve had much better, professional experiences at places like the Ritz Carlton for the same price

About 20 minutes from St Augustine and 5 minutes from a grocery story, it’s a lovely resort! All the buildings are a short walk to the pool which stays fairly shallow and has a wading area that my 2 year old and I hung out in a lot! Each room is like a fully furnished apartment making packing lighter and easier! Each room has a washer and dryer! Loved it!I’ll be back!

Donnie Cannon

First time staying here Room was very spacious and clean I’ve read where many are calling Bluegreen a scam and I can tell you first hand t is not

Anyone calling it a scam simply doesn’t know how to use the program Trust me, there’s a ton of value with Bluegreen Vacations Ask for DJ Mike, he’s awesome! Thanks Mike!Awesome pool as well, If I had to give a con, it would be the lack of monitoring of the kids at the pool! Screaming, running, and splashing other guest As an owner, this was very annoying

The rooms are EXTREMELY spacious We had a family of four in a double queen without rubbing elbows Breakfast was plentiful (though of you’re gluten free plan to pack your own) and coffee was 24hrs a day

Refrigerator was plenty big enough for all leftovers from trips into St Augustine as well as a big case of water we brought along Laundry facilities downstairs The pool area was small but very cute and well maintained Located away from hustle and bustle, but close to several gas stations and Publix We would definitely stay here again

Kali Blayz

One of the worst stays I’ve had! My mother is a GM of a Hilton where we live and I know how a hotel stay is suppose to be We respected the 4 day without housekeeping due to cdc but on the 3rd day the housekeeping manager comes and asks if we need service but my significant other was sleeping so I told her the next day we would need it instead During this stay it was difficult to even get clean towels after 2-3 days

And on the 4th day I called down for housekeeping and had to argue with them because the house keeping manager lied and told them she serviced our room but that was not the case She lied each time they asked her Surprised to see a manager lying like this and them making us feel like we were lying I was extremely upset There was no sugar for coffee for 3 days and only hazelnut creamer one day The breakfast was the same every day and just not good There were such basics I would get at a cheaper hotel The way we were treated was horrible and to pay all that money for an entire week was such a waste I could’ve had a more comfortable stay at a cheaper hotel and that’s a sad statement to make about a home2 suites I should’ve saved money and booked for what I actually paid for

Nicole Holloway

My husband and I were HIGHLY disappointed with this stay Upon arrival, we were greeted by the receptionist, which advised us that we weren’t able to have a room key due to the system malfunctioning That meant anytime we needed to get to our room, the pool (Which was disgusting), or anywhere we would need a key, we had to wait for someone to let us in

There was no WIFI While being walked to our room, we noticed that there were blue labels on each room door that had been cleaned, ours did not have one We were told that our room HAD been cleaned, but they “ran out of stickers” We get settled into the room and realize that whomever “cleaned” our room, did a horrible job, the refrigerator was nasty There were still items in the room from the previous occupant The toilet’s water pressure was so low that flushing was more of a burden than anything Spots on the carpet let us say this place did not put its best foot forward This is unfortunate because this place has a ton of potential As I stated before, the pool area was a mess, tables were dirty, trash overflowed, and trash was on the ground They had no extra towels, washcloths, pillows, or blankets To have paid almost $30000 dollars for a 1 night’s stay and to have so many issues was disgraceful and frankly, not worth the trouble AT ALL We expected so much more I would NOT suggest this place to anyone Go at your own risk! You’ve been warned!

I stayed at this hotel May 7-10 while in town for a college graduation The entire staff was professional, courteous and friendly Brandon at the front desk was extremely helpful when I needed to switch rooms due to a plumbing issue and Amanda at the bar made the best Manhattan I have ever had

My stay included a free buffet breakfast which was excellent each morning and our server Ringo provided excellent service The pool was clean and refreshing, the shuttle to Saint Augustine was convenient and the bar was comfortable, on point and reasonably priced The rooms need to be updated The bathrooms in the rooms lacked exhaust fans and the toilets in both of the rooms I stayed in were old and needed to be replaced

Kelly Fodiman

We were pleasantly surprised! The staff was incredibly friendly at the front desk, wide open spaces, spacious room, very clean and comfortable The food and atmosphere was great in the lounge area, breakfast buffet was delicious, gym looked very nice and it was fun eating at caddy shack just 100 steps away! We really enjoyed the whole experience but having a warm, kind and friendly staff made our trip even better!! Thank you 😊

Madison Vick

For a four star hotel I was expecting it to be much nicer The area, and lobby were very neat, but the rooms were very dated They were all full beds, the air didn’t work, no microwaves in the room, no fan in the bathroom, and when I came into the bathroom there were little white facial hairs on the counter around the sink

The rooms just really need some updating

Best Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed at (have stayed at 20+) the staff was all extremely friendly and welcoming They went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay The gentleman running the continental breakfast was amazing at making sure everything was perfect including getting some snacks for us to give the kids later

Everyone from the cleaning crew to the front desk made our stay wonderful! It was nice to have a room with regular floors not the carpet that has been in every holiday inn I have ever stayed at Every room has a balcony Our balcony had a couple of chairs and an end table The stay was perfect!!

We stayed 3 nights at The Cozy Inn for our 5 year anniversary Our room was similar to an apartment with a full size kitchen, living room and nice bedroom with a full size bathroom King size bed was comfortable

Everything was clean Our room was cleaned and fresh towels left for us during our stay Check in was quick and painless I wish we had brought our bikes because it would of been easier to navigate through St Augustine We loved our stay and will definitely return

Bob Brunswick

We stayed in the remodeled home on the east side of San Marcos, in one of the small apartments We liked the large windows that faced north and gave nice natural lighting There was plenty of room for two, with a nice seating area and table in the small kitchen

It was very clean, and the bed, while a bit hard, was fairly comfortable There was a sofa sleeper, but there is no HVAC in the bedroom (two window units in the living areas), so airflow would mean you couldn’t close the door to the bedroom There is a large parking lot adjacent, which is nice We liked the fact it was north of all the congestion, but still close enough to walk to restaurants, etc Office staff was helpful, efficient, and polite, and gave us some tips for parking and navigating the traffic further south We would definitely stay here again

Marie Casimiri

We just spent 5 days at the Cozy Inn I am truly afraid to say how wonderful it was for fear we won’t be able to get a reservation next time We had a suite

Everything that we could have wanted was theredishes, wine glasses, wine bottle opener, pots and pans even dish soap The rooms were very clean It had such a beautiful cottage feel We were within walking distance to the sightseeing trolly that takes you on a guided tour to thehistoric section We loved our stay and will definitely return

I’ve stayed here a few times during vacations As a St Augustine native, traveling home is easy and staying at this location has been simple for me My only complaint is access to the location

Traveling to it (while heading eastbound on 16) requires passing the location, making a U-turn at the next stoplight, and backtracking to reach the hotel Leaving the location to once again head eastbound on 16 requires crossing several packed lanes of traffic to reach another light and make another U-turn again This is literally the only complaint I have Otherwise the business has always been well-run, the staff has always been pleasant and my stays have been simple

Charles O

I’ve stayed in motels/Hotels for the past week + and this was the cleanest, friendliest, most affordable one to date( but remember you get what you pay for)There has been cheaper but they have been smelly, dirty, and you just don’t feel safe in themYou get the most bang for your buck at this one I highly recommend this one

Amy

It’s not the 1st time we have stayed this place Looks like they have done some remodeling which is nice Could the floors Been a little cleaner yes

But the a/c works the beds were comfy If you don’t like super soft pillows would recommend you bring your own Breakfast is a little small options but there is mcdonalds, dunkin or burger King in close proximity

Kathy Cornell’s

The room sizes are great and the location was walking distance to everything downtown The pool was very nice and the breakfast was very convenient but just about the same everydayThe cleanliness of the room was not what I anticipated or what was described on the website

There was a dirty pan left in the microwave that was really disgusting It clearly had been left there for quite a while Also, I agree with the other reviewers regarding the $2500 parking fee per day, even if you park your own carWhy not just add this cost into the room as I am sure the breakfast is? It isn’t as if there is limited space for parking or only a parking garage availableIf we return to St Augustine, we will look for a different hotel and not return to this Hilton

Rachel de Castro

My family and I just left this hotel after a week stay We had the most amazing experience here The rooms are large and perfect for staying with kids, the hotel was clean and well kept and the staff was exceptional

Great location, very close to downtown st Aug Walking is doable and lots of nice restaurants/stops along the way The front desk was always helpful and friendly The hotel manager, Terry was amazing and went above and beyond He hosted a social cocktail hour at the hotel and personally greeted and served the guests! We could not have asked for a better experience We will most definitely be back and will be referring friends and family to this hotel!

Tuo Luo

My room is great Overall it’s clean, spacious and equipped with newer tech The microwave oven is dirty though and there are water left in the coffee maker, hope the cleaning could be more detailed

Lovely lobby dinning area, but many people smoke on the balcony during breakfast time make outdoor desks less favorable I don’t like the mandatory valet parking($25) and find it a bit inconvenient Still, I will choose this location if visit St Augustine again

First off, everyone is super friendly and helpful! The rooms are so clean, beds comfy! You are right in downtown there is EVERYTHING to do in walking distance The little breakfast courtyard is so adorable You can sit inside or outside by a fountain with soft music, have coffee while you wait for your homemade 3 course breakfast! Don’t forget to let them know if you have special food needs

This place is really the best! We hope to come back soon!!!!

Jane Harris

We stayed here one night earlier this month (6/22) This B&B has great reviews so I will admit I was remiss in not reading the details about our room which was the Palm South The room is really small with very little space to put your things and no where to sit other than on the bed

It was very nice having the use of the front porch and I will say that the manager, Ann, was very nice and the location is great The negatives though were many There’s no thermostat in the room to control the climate but an a/c vent is on the ceiling I was afraid I would break a leg as I had to stand on the side of the tub and stretch out my arm to reach and open the vent using a coat hanger as there is no chair in the room and the ceilings are high Also, at one point I turned off the ceiling fan but then during the night I tried to turn it on and the switch was broken (so frustrating!) The TV volume didn’t work at allno sound (wound up watching something on my laptop) But the biggest disappointment was breakfast They are without a cook, which I feel we should have been told about when we booked our room, or at the least an adjustment to the price of the lodging should have been made For me, a yummy hot breakfast is a big part of why I choose a B&B Instead there was cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt and several kinds of what looked like entenmann’s cake and Sam’s club muffins A mimosa was offered and enjoyed, but over-all, I was disappointed

Juan Marquez

Brought my girlfriend here for valentine’s day because we wanted to stay in the heart of historic St Augustine Wasn’t sure what to expect, but right from the start it was a wonderful experience You will be charmed from the moment you arrive until the time you leave

We were greeted at the street by staff who presented us with our key, parking pass, and envelope with instructions for our stay The owner left a personal letter apologizing he was not there to greet us, but we were able to meet him the next morning at the gorgeous 3-course breakfast he hosted himself The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable bed, extra pillows, jacuzzi tub, and 50″ 4k TV The location is perfect, just a short walking distance to all of the shops, bars, and restaurants in the historic area My girlfriend thought it was a magical experience and we would love to come back

When somebody like me wants to stay somewhere we want to stay somewhere clean, friendly and affordable I never give 5 stars but this particular place isn’t close to the beach, it isn’t where all the fun and action is But I would stay here repeatedly just because of the cleanliness and the professionalism this entire staff has here

I had the opportunity to visit with many of the staff that work here especially with the wonderful woman that runs the housekeeping She is absolutely wonderful She doesn’t get much time off but she takes great pride in her work and her staff Courtyard needs to clone her and put her everywhere!

I booked a room because I was traveling and knew I would need a few hours of sleep before continuing Booked a room for an entire night knowing I’d only need it for 5 or so hours Got there around 5am and they had canceled my room without any notice via the app, email, or phone call

Incredibly poor service I’m a platinum elite member and can say that for the most part Marriott hotels are great However, steer clear of this location!!! They don’t value their guests like the others

have stayed at this hotel many times when in the area for meetings at my corporate office This has always been an enjoyable stay until now The customer service is lacking

The whole hotel was hot and humid My air conditioning in my room was not working well so I went to the front desk and inquired on getting moved Was told that the ac has a sensor on it that senses when I am in the room and moving about When I challenged this idea since I was soon to be sleeping she told me that there had not been any maintenance requests to this room and I should just return to the room and wait for it to cool down I spent the entire night awake and pouring sweat

Service was fantastic Food was very good a little pricey for lunch but what do you expect when you can eat right on the water The shrimp were goo but their is one thing that I had an issue with

This is also the reason I gave them a 4 star The shrimp were not cleaned to remove the vein which cause a slight taste and the shrimp were a little gritty Not a huge deal for most but something I like to have cleaned out of my shrimp especially when dining out

This is our most favorite hotel/restaurant/marina bar vacation spots ever experienced It was built in 1946 and they have kept the original (4) rooms with the same tile and details So quaint that I felt like we were on the set of Ozzie and Harriet! The people are awesome and the food is great, the beer is cold and the pool is perfect

It is a vacation dream, but don’t expect the Taj Mahal! I am 70 years old and we have traveled Europe and the Islands, Hawaii and more This is where we will vacation from now on!

As others have rightly said, “Can you say PERFECT? Place is newer, room was very good size, great bed pillows and comforter But even better was staff Every time I saw them it was a pleasant experience from front desk to room cleaning

” Both Laura and Bird are excellent managers of the hotel, and genuinely good people I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in St Augustine It’s walking distance from historic St Augustine, has plenty of parking, and is about an 8-10 minute drive to the beach Couldn’t ask for more

Can you say PERFECT? Place is newer, room was very good size, great bed pillows and comforter But even better was staff Every time I saw them it was a pleasant experience from front desk to room cleaning

Further, lost my car key They found it and reached out THEN my brother stayed same resort a few days and upon checkout he left his wallet on bed He was called and everything still inside Amazing place – close enough to historic and convenience of everyday stores and restaurants for family right nearby For the money, you will be challenged to find better! Stay here

Never being to a pet friendly hotel with our dogs before I didn’t know what to expect…Stopped late and unplanned from being on the road all dayThis place is AWESOME! Location is perfect to downtown, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is awesome! Huge shout out to Jennifer (if you get there late night I hope you meet her), she made this stay with her kind heart and love for my dog, and a sweet chat in the lobby I will be back specifically to this hotel but for a longer stay 🙂

First and foremost, my experience here was all positive when it came to the staff Everyone was friendly and helpful and proficient The facility however left a good bit to be desired

This sounds ridiculous, but the door handles are the LOUDEST locking and closing mechanisms I’ve ever heard and I travel quite a bit It’s a constant barrage of noise with doors opening and closing and frequently woke me up The TV service was terrible It’s apparently satellite based and would go out every time heavy clouds were forming, which is A LOT in Florida So when the weather is at is worst and you just want to stay in and watch TV, you can’t The internet also wasn’t fast enough to stream video, so you can’t even go that route for entertainment The towels were mostly rough and seemed past their enjoyable service life I found myself picking which of them were the “least bad” and just using it until the next restockOverall the hotel isn’t bad, definitely convenient for interstate travelers, and it has a nice little pool, but it wasn’t what I expect from a Marriott facility I’m not sure what warrants the $150/night avg price tag other than convenience to I95 and the Marriott name association

We have stayed here in the past so we thought everything would be good For starters

The staff was mostly pleasant, room was clean, the breakfast was sufficient, the grounds were well keptThe not so goodthe air conditioner ran non stopMy reservation had one price and I was charged more, not much but still Also I had a reservation at The La Quinta across the street I had to change so when I called to do that they told me they no longer had a hot tub So I cancelled that reservation and made one with this hotel The reservation at The Fairfield was was more but we really wanted a hot tub We get to the hotel only to find out the pool and hot tub were not operational The pool finally got fixed late afternoon of our 2nd night And the hot tub never did work I asked if they could possibly do something about the price of our stay and they didn’t So much for paying more for nothing more
