This was our first trip to a home2suites The layout was fantastic with a full refrigerator, dishes, kitchen sink, microwave In the past I have done much business travel, and what I loved about this room was that the fan on the heat was a constant hum and not the on and off that would wake me up with other hotels

We slept like a baby! It was more like white noise than fan noise Big deal for this frequent traveler Check-in staff was extremely helpful I will look for a home to suites next time! My husband and I were on a road trip back home to MN from Florida and our little dog liked the open spaces to walk

We won’t ever stay anywhere else on our trips back and forth to visit grandparents anymore! We got there 2 hours before normal check in and they made sure to get a room cleaned as I had two small kids who had been on the road for HOURS and just needed a break! The man was absolutely delightful He thought of everything- 2 beds, a tub for baths and gave my son some free snacks on the way up! Breakfast was delicious! My son spilled his cereal and the attendant was over immediately to help clean it up with a smile on her face Everyone was incredibly welcoming and hospitable! We will certainly be back

These rooms need to be cleaned better, the staff nice, the location perfect the room dirty spots on the bed cover, hair in shower, sofa dirty I didn’t even sit on it Whew ( sp) child help, I just wanted morning to come seriously! It’s harder because the staff was kind maybe they need more help I don’t know Stay only if you have to

(Two (connected) rooms, one night)Rooms were clean and in generally good condition One significant problem: When we got the rooms, the a/c had been off (on a 92°F day) and it was *hot* in them The air handlers were in good condition and clean, and got the rooms cooled down in a couple of hours

Since we checked in at around 9 PM, this was a significant delay in being able to go to sleep

Anthony Dixon

This place needs an upgrade Check in was quick Upon reaching my room, i noticed dead bugs all around the air conditioner

Thank god they weren’t roaches but looked like lady bugs I also saw one crawling on the ceiling The breakfast was barely warm Gravy was cold, sausage was cold I sat down to eat and never once saw a worker come to attend to the food I also called for a late check in and the person who answered was less than happy about me calling

Jake

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a nice breakfast are important to me and Sleep Inn meets all of these requirementsClose to downtown is a plus

The room smelled of smoke upon entering While the room itself was passingly tidy, the bathroom had visible mold and mildew Mattresses were ok but not very comfortable

Awoke in the morning to find no hot water for a shower So we will be on the road for six hours to hopefully get a shower at our next hotel… Which will not be a Candlewood Suites

Three nights, avoiding COVID in the place I was supposed to be staying They do not service the room Unless requested, supplies (coffee etc) can be picked up from the front desk, sometimes quite a long wait after dialling 0

Lots of weird mechanical noises in my room even with the A/C switched offOtherwise comfortable and spacious enough I didn’t use any other of the hotels facilities

Tonga Newsome

We stayed here overnight while traveling to Florida Upon entering the bathroom I witnessed a roach crawling on the toilet Before we could phone downstairs, Nancy phoned us to make sure everything was okay with our room

We explained what happened and she immediately came with keys for a new room Nancy’s excellent customer saved the day I probably will never stay here again, however it was nice that management was so responsive Nancy gets 5 stars, the hotel only 3

We relocated from a red roof inn and suites down the road to the La Quinta Inn & Suites and it was a breath of fresh air Everything was clean and we appreciated the front desk and hospitality from all staff we encountered They are pet friendly which was great since we were traveling with our Boston Terrier

Respectfully though, please clean up after your pet Another guest traveling with their dog did not, and that of course is why many places are not pet friendly The lobby was super immaculate, we loved the late check out time as it worked well for our travel schedule and the breakfast had many great options We did not use the pool or patio, but from observation, it looked very nice! Very well lit and very clean Would stay here again

Excellent location for this contemporary hotel Everything was very clean and modern The room was large, quite, and the king bed was comfortable

A microwave, fridge, desk and shallow tub were included The hot breakfast and dining area were excellent Breakfast included eggs, meat, potatoes, biscuits and gravy and other items This is a nice hotel, but, there are some things that could be improved upon: the chairs in the room were too narrow for a large adult, tv channel and pay for view selection was poor, the ironing board was miniature and useless, the shades did not block enough light, there was only one full sized luggage cart for the entire hotel, the corner location of accessible rooms is too far for the handicapped to walk, the seat for the accessible shower did not fit, the tub was too shallow for adult baths and the water pressure in the shower was bad, so bathing was difficult And, only 2 towels per room and terrible toilet paper was surprising at this nice of a hotel We stayed here 3 days and we were extremely friendly with the staff and they did try to reciprocate, but each staff member I talked to kind of flubbed it in one way or another I would give the ladies at the counter a 375 out of 5, and the older lady taking care of breakfast I would give a 5 for a task well accomplished but only a 25 for the way she barks at the guests when she thinks they might try to come back for food after the cut off time A friendly, “The food will be up for about 10 more minutes” would suffice nicely We never talked to the housekeeping staff, but they did an awesome job cleaning For groups – The lobby would make an enjoyable place to hang out and there was even a small bar, but I never saw a bartender There is a pool out back, but, we didn’t use it Ask for a small bag of ice at the check-in counter to save yourself a trip down for it later They do have a robot that can bring some items to your room, but we never asked for anything to be sent up

Grace Edge

My family of 6 recently stayed here for a week while waiting for military housing, and the staff and hotel were phenomenal! Everyone was incredibly kind to our kids, and offered to help with anything we could possibly need Our kids looked forward to the delicious breakfast every morning, and the ladies who make the breakfast chatted with us every morningThe rooms were very clean

The price was great for the service we received and I’ll recommend this hotel to anyone

Clean comfortable room with easy access to travel route and dining Just needed a clean, safe place to sleep on a weekend “gypsy trip” ramble on the plains The staff was pleasant and efficient

Although, it is a college town and the local PD had the entrance blocked with 4 patrol cars which sort of freaked me out on arrival but it was a traffic accident that was pulled off the road into the hotel entrance access road (not real smart)

Melanie Dotson

We were highly disappointed in our stay Definitely not up to Hampton Inn standards Room darkening shade was broken down so it could not be raised so the room stayed dark

The bedding on one of the beds was filthy and had not been changed after several stays You could tell that it was grungy from body oil that had collected near the top of the duvet cover Disgusting! Our daughter just started at Auburn and we will never stay in this hotel again Sad because we always try and stay in a Hampton Inn, if they are available

Laura Christy

Waited 2 hours to check in after being told it would be 20 minutes Bathrooms were not clean Shower curtain was yellow on the bottom

Even though reservations were confirmed in advance, upon arrival they were not accurate The pool was not clean Would not recommend this locationSo disappointed as this was a wedding weekend for a dear friend

I strongly recommend this facility! My family just returned here to stay for the 4th of July weekend and they do not disappoint us! Starting from the check in, nice clean room, pool side, to foods/drinks They have it all here! Poolside staffs are always so friendly and attentive! Breakfast buffet and dinner at the Southern Oak is just amazing! No reason to leave the facility for days we are here! Thanks to the management team and all staffs for making these trips so memorable!

My family stayed at Grand National this weekend From check in to check out, it truly was a memorable experience The front desk staff made check in so easy and did a great job of explaining the property

Both managers, David and Kelsey, were so kind and friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was everything we hoped for We cannot wait to come back and definitely recommend this getaway

This place is infested with roaches Once we checked in the room the roaches came out of a pillow We went back to the front desk and they refused to give a refund

The front desk clerk closed the blinds and called the police to ask us to leave since we didn’t want a different room The office even had roaches crawling outside the office window

Vae Ferguson

I’m really impressed with the staff and the room The staff very mannerable and the room was nice & clean and affordable If I ever come back to visit Alabama I’ll be coming back to this Quality Inn

I stayed at the Hampton Inn a day before and the service was poor the rooms were dirty and it cost way more So yes I’m pleased with this Quality Inn

My husband and I stayed here while we were in the Auburn/Opelika area for the day I started not feeling well at all so we decided to get a room so I could rest From the moment we walked in we knew this was a great choice

The cleanliness of the lobby, the friendly staff to the cleanliness of our room were all very, very impressive!! (This is coming from someone with a compromised immune system so cleanliness is an absolute must have for me! I was so comfortable and had zero concerns!) The location is perfect! We definitely well be looking for Microtel Inn & Suites on our next overnight stay(s)!!

I have to say i was a bit disappointed with this place The room was tiny and felt cramped The a/c wouldn’t turn off, so i had to switch it to heat eventually

I asked for a blanket and the woman said, “you’ll have to come down and get it, because I’m checking someone in” It was about 1:30 in the morning So i had to dress enough to go downstairs, and she was sitting there on her cell phone I don’t doubt that when i called she was, in fact, checking someone in, but one would have thought that she could offer to bring it up when she was done

D. Woods

Stay away from room 308 The pictures will explain why I was moved to room 408, and did not have any problems with roaches

By then I was all grossed out, and had trouble sleeping If you check up under the beds and alone the dresser, a person will find that this hotel do not vacuum well I hope this is helpful for people making decisions on where to live for a day or two

Simply Beautiful

Front desk staff was nice at check in Housekeeping was OK except for one who wanted to make sure we had everything we needed she was great! The others acted as of they hated their jobs and didn’t want to be there We also overheard them complaining about 2 employees not being there for their scheduled shift so they had double work to do

So over all stay was good nice clean rooms continental breakfast was was they had a very good selection of food I would definitely recommend this hotel

Nadia Simmons

The hotel was nice, clean, and accommodating for the most part All the staff members were nice and professional The only reason we didn’t give five stars was because we were staying on the 3rd floor, and even though our rooms were cool and comfortable, the hallway was literally 90° and muggy

I told the front desk, and they said ok We stayed for 3 nights and the hallway temperature never changed during our stay

Carrie Hamill

Absolutely terrible!! After driving 17 hours, we tried to stop to stay here They would not take a walk in customer and made me call some reservation person The woman spoke broken English and was hard to understand her

After giving her my info 5 times over and over again, I got extremely aggravated and left Guess they didn’t want my $200 We went up the road, literally 2 miles, and walked in without issue They were more than happy for my $119

I can honestly say this was one of the best hotels my husband and I had the opportunity to stay inThe rooms were very clean and the staff was wonderful Everyone was very friendly and courteous

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stayTo the staff, thank you for making our stay very pleasant!

Diane Barber

Hotel was in an okay location, easy to navigate to just off the interstate Our room was wrong, supposed to be one bed, gave us two and would not fix it The “complimentary breakfast” is only allowed for some guests

We were told we were not on the list when we came down to grab some toast and yogurt Kids found toys, chapstick, coins and used stickers under the bed Kinda gross all that was missed during cleaning

dwayne o

In a word nasty !!Tried to check in didn’t have our reservation after we showed the young lady it was paid in fulldidn’t really care talked to the manager the next Morning could definitely see where her attitude came from The shower was filthy, vents where nasty I showed her pictures, still didn’t careSo bottom line if you book through a second party (EX) you get a dirty room and they don’t care !!
