The room was beautiful and quite large We had our own living room and kitchen area The staff was wonderful, we used the valet service and I forgot my charger in the car, and the valet was willing to go get it out of the car for me

They had a nice breakfast in the morning We didn’t end up utilizing the pool, but we peeked in there and it looked very nice I will definitely stay there again if I’m in the area

Becky Food4life

The rooms were very spacious! Location was right smack dab in clubbing area If you are going to be there on a weekend, and want a quiet night, not your place The breakfast was fantastic

Parking was a mess, expect to pay for valet Additional $40 The front desk clerk and cleaning crew were short and not super friendly The breakfast crew and valet guys were awesome and worked hard!! The extra blankets and the mattress pad in the room smelled like urine Otherwise, the room was clean

Daijeh GAnt

I had my bachelorette party downtown and it was the best location for easy access to the bars around I will say that even with the hotel being surrounded by bars that it was so quiet The room was beautiful and clean and comfortably fit the 4 of us

The free breakfast they have is okay we couldn’t find any information about when it ended but luckily went down before 10am because they started cleanup soon after I didn’t utilize the valet parking I just parked in the parking garage further down on the same street because it was cheaper I also enjoyed the ability to check in and out and have my room key available through the Hilton honors app instead of having to physically talk to a person at the front desk I would stay there again if I needed to

The room was decent It was great it was attached to the convention center The room’s fridge was terrible and kept having to be unplugged to reset it two or three times a day which is the main reason for dropping a star, that and room service never stopped by, not sure if we had to ask for it or what but we saw them in the hallway, but never came by

Front desk was nice and gave us anything we needed such as towels and suchI liked the second set of elevators on the back side that were not used as much as the main ones so waiting wasn’t a huge deal Lobby was always busy with group gatherings from the event going on at the timeIt snowed a little while we were there and being from Florida, that’s not something we see often It was nice to be able to walk across the street and my younger child could run and play in the snow in the park rather than being stuck in a hotel all dayBreakfast was decent and we were able to bring it back up to our room The breakfast burritos probably shouldn’t be served as they did not taste good and a bit spicy too The sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwiches were much better but the bread on some of them was really hard Microwaving them with a bit of butter helped that but not sure they could do much about that Was very convenient to have that breakfastI would stay again if needing to go to the convention center there again for an event It was great being able to stay warm in our walk over there

jennifer chambers

Hotel was nice and clean The staff was unfriendly Our room was hot and when we called to ask for help we were told that a maintenance person would be up to check on the cooling system and no one came

When we checked out the front desk person ask us how our room was and we told her that is was humid she just looked around And not only that we payed $5000 just to park for less than 24 hours

jan harris

was extremely hot out- 90 plus degrees so it was great that the skyway provided access from hotel to convention center without having to go outside Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a separate seating area Nice that the toilet is in a separate room from the tub

The only negative is the sliding doors to these don’t stay closed We had to prop trash can against it Beds were comfy Room has very small fridge and microwave We had a great view of the area from the 15th floor All the staff were pleasant Kudos especially to Elaina O our breakfast attendant! She was very friendly and efficient She provided valuable info regarding gluten free options The breakfast was very good We especially enjoyed the quicheand bacon and the individual Udi’s gluten free muffins Breakfast and coffee available at 6:30 It would be nice if coffee was available earlier😁

Christine Gunzel Manatt

Overall very nice stay Room was clean and staff friendly They even got a deck of cards for us to play games with friends in the lobby

Parking is a bit challenging because you do have to check in before going to the garage Also the small check in/loading lane is pretty small and it’s almost impossible to turn into the garage from the loading area unless your car has a very tight turning radius This forces you to leave, circle the block and come back after check in

Tuwanna Towns / Keesee

Front desk was super friendly, rooms and hotel clean, parking easy Slim pickings on amenities Not in walking distance of anything

five stars because I love the family feel atmosphere & the hotel is amazingly clean, probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in! I don’t know who is over the housekeeping department, when it comes to cleaning of this hotel it has to be a passion I wish I could give 10 starts for house keeping

Tiffany Mann

I’m on the first night of a 3 night stay for business travel and I already could not be more pleased! This place and its staff are wonderful! All aspects of my stay, thusfar, have been super pleasant and easy from the check-in process to parking to navigating surrounding areas to honoring last minute requests The room, common areas, and outdoor areas are extremely well kept, up-to-date and up to par Joe, who checked me in, and all other staff have been polite, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful

Whether traveling for business or leisure, this is your place! I recommend Townplace Inn & Suites Downtown Indianapolis wholeheartedly and without reservation

Fabulous Staff and equally amazing property This is one of the best Marriott properties I have ever been when I visited my brother The staff led by the Manager Cassie were truly outstanding

I could witness the cleanliness, room size and the speed of service were all above par The check out process for my brother visiting from abroad has some complexities by the way it was booked by the Travel Agency but Ariana at the front desk along with Cassie sorted it out without breaking a sweat and with a smile on their faces I was really surprised by their fantastic knowledge of the hotel reservations and professionalism under stress Way to go!

Lauren Canada

The service was excellent! Veronica was very attentive as she made sure to take care of me and my family! The other staff is very professional as well They have amenities to accommodate your whole family Also, the hotel is right of the highway and surrounded by convenient stores so you don’t have to travel far! I will definitely stay there again!!

Room was pretty big and decently clean Saw some hairs in the bathroom and there was some pretty obvious wear and tear throughout the room Just about everything you need in the kitchen

The water pressure was pretty weak in the bathroom, but great at the kitchen sink The water got nice and hot everywhere The A/C worked well I could hear people walking above and next to my room, but not terribly There was some weird clicking noise that woke me up throughout the first night I thought about switching rooms, but just turned the fan on to run all night as white noise and that helped TV responded slowly, but worked Internet was super fast A couple drawers were broken, but I didn’t need them Love the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the shower so I don’t have to bring any Plenty of towels The breakfast was okay Sometimes the hot stuff wasn’t hot They had sandwiches in sealed bags in the warmer and one was actually cold I’m sure they’re doing the best they can with limited resources My mobile key didn’t work, which was inconvenient because I hate carrying the room key that tends to get deactivated every time the wind blows

Room was a king corner Not a bad room overall, but the cracks in the ceiling and the noisy windows were bothersome Horrible selection of TV for when in the room trying to unwind

Room service only happened on 1 of the three mornings we stayed Over all the facility was clean but their parking garage is atrocious and felt completely unsafe to be in as the majority of the cement is cracking and falling from the ceilings On to the restaurant, horrible food Nothing was good, it passed as edible, but so do bugs and most people choose not to eat those The breakfast buffet is a complete joke The pancakes were soggy and broke apart when attempting to take them, the “fresh fruit” was freshly thawed, the eggs were rubber, the toaster maybe has one element that heats up so it was just bread, the coffee tasted like it was made last month and reheated just for you that day For the price they charge for it, you could easily go to a real restaurant and get 2 meals for the cost of 1 Just because it’s all you can eat doesn’t mean you will leave full unless you are hard up for a meal Avoid the food at this hotel if at all possible

Phoenix

Hotel room was disgusting! Multiple stains found throughout the furniture, hair everywhere, mold or something black on the bed frame Bathroom shower did not drain so you had to shower in a puddle The rooms and hallways were dated and in need of desperate repair and reservation

Do not book this hotel if you value you cleanlinessI cancelled my reservation after one night I travel often and this was by far the most disgusting hotel I ever stayed atPositive note Location is great Front desk staff were nice Front desk staff receive 5 Stars !

Jessy Stidham

I thought the place was nice I had read bad reviews so was a little worried because I used a 3rd party booking service where you don’t know what hotel you get until after you pay But we had an amazing view, the beds were so comfortable, staff was nice

The only downside was the parking fee but almost every place I’ve stayed downtown Indy has a rather large parking fee so I was expecting it Plus it allowed you to come in and out of the hotel from the floor you’re parked on in the garage so it saved a lot of trouble carrying everything in and out I think it was probably the best stay I’ve had at any of the hotels in that area

VERY close to Riley Children’s Hospital! Our room was very clean No visible stains or bed bugs Our room had a 2 burner stove, small refrigerator and microwave and dishwasher! Also had about a 42 inch flat tv

Almost as good as a 2nd home!-catch, many people coming and going this hotel some students live in The students are very friendly That will be the issue for some Why? Lots and I mean a lot of weed oder Hallways and elevators pretty much Rooms themselves did not smell of weed Maybe, kinda, sorta, mild frat house just not unruly or chaotic But people there are friendly and helpful

Sandy Wantuch

This was the 3rd time I stayed here due to husband’s surgery at IU Health Hospital I had a smaller room which was better for me , not needing all that space Ice cube maker in freezer, refrigerator, microwave, 2 TVs, hot shower and comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, reliable wake up call

Best thing is the shuttle so I didn’t have to pay to park in hospital garage or walk to my car in the dark after hours

I traveled to Indianapolis with my roommate who is in a wheelchair for her birthday We had such a difficult time due to the Greyhound company being so awful with their ADA regulations It caused us to be late to checking in to our hotel and added much stress to our trip

The man at the front desk so nice! He didn’t charge us for the night we missed due to the buses and let us stay and extra night for the price we originally planned to spend This hotel is nicer than one we had previously stayed at that was double the price The breakfast is only $6 and it was AMAZING! The people who prepared this meal did a great job! There was breakfast bowls you get to create, french toast, muffins, and other items as well If you are planning a trip to Indianapolis and you want to stay in a nice hotel with friendly people and great food, you need to stay here!!!

Greg Eakins

This is a solid spot to go if you need to stay close to downtown IndyThe rooms and beds were clean and comfortable The whole facility looks great

Breakfast in the morning was solid – Holiday Inn always does a good job with breakfastThe parking situation leaves a bit to be desired The lot in front of the hotel is tiny and always full You can walk to a parking garage nearby, but exactly how that works was ambiguous and the staff didn’t do a great job of informing us how it worked They told us their key writer was broken for the garage, but fortunately, the gate was up so we didn’t have to pay for parking that nightOverall this is a very nice place to stay for the price

Jonathan Matías

We stayed five days and that was the best stay at a hotel we’ve ever had Beds were comfy memory foam with cooling gel Pool was clean and refreshing

Staff made us feel like valued friends, not just customers Breakfast was delicious We hung out several nights as a family in the side room of the dining area, which had a couch and a barn door that could slide closed, felt like home Conveniently located near IUPUI, the Convention Center, and Lucas Oil Stadium We’ll be back!

Visit 6/17/22This hotel isn’t clearly marked where to go, signs are misleading making you think you need to pull into the parking garageYou do not! Keep going past parking garageGold status gets you two free bottles of generic branded water and a child’s pack of cookies

Good thing you have the membershipThe hotel appeared nice but it was dirty, the carpet along the tile was coming up The tile near the elevators was also crackingThe room was clean enough; it had a full kitchenthe chair had stains on the Cushions, along with the bedding comforter having stains which appeared to look like dried bloodThe bed sheets were clean, the shower and toilet is separate from the sink, the handle to the door was looseThe floor was okay cleaned but appeared the housekeeper was rushingThis place was worth the stay as it was free but I wouldn’t pay money to sleep hereThe morning breakfast was normal contemporary but they didn’t have oatmeal The gravy was horrible! The best food was the waffle we cooked for ourselvesThis place could use new management, one who cares about quality and cleanliness However I wouldn’t expect anything better than what we got from a Hilton!

Sandra Yatsko

Our shower didn’t work properly, there was no dish soap or hand soap in our kitchenette – so if washing hands you had to get the bar of soap from the bathroom, we had less than half a roll of paper towels and no extra rolls of toilet paper for a family of four I realize everyone is on a budget these days, but the room didn’t have a budget discount Having to ask for everything was a hassle

The staff was friendly and the location was nice, but I would probably pick a different hotel next time I’m in Indy

Shawn

Edit to my update and listing of 5 Stars:Update to an update about the billing issue, since editedI called back today (8/13) and spoke with Jared Jared listened to understand my concern and has restored my faith in Hilton’s customer service ability

Chalk Jared up for promotion too Thank you for the great stay and customer relation experienceOriginal review July 31, 2022The great – staff is wonderful “Vinson” goes above and beyond He helped us get acquainted with the hotel and gave us a brief tour of the facility, and told us about the historical significance of the locationThe hotel is combined with Hampton Hampton is on the street end (above Starbucks), and Homewood is on the backside (along the canal) A little confusing at firstThe drawback: Parking is limited The cost is $32/day to park in the garage or pay more for valet There is NO street parking nearbyThe garage is located between Hampton and Homewood (hotels are connected on the 1st floor and above)The hotel location is perfect for sightseeing, university, or professional events There is much to do and see, and all within walking distanceTo close, as I started, Vinson (evening maint manager?) was the highlight for us He is a great ambassador for the hotel and its brand He went above and beyond to assist us Promote and retain this man He is the employee others should emulate

What a beautiful historic home! The rose room is definitely adorable and the mini tour upon entry provided some cool background info about the place Everything was clean and the antique furniture was perfect Now that they’ll be starting their breakfast dining experience again, if I’m ever in the area once more I’d happily choose the same place to stay!

Stacy Grosse

My husband and I came down to Indianapolis for a wedding, and we loved the close proximity to the wedding venue! The staff responded quickly when out TV was not working properly We stayed in the Rose Room; I found the bed to be quite uncomfortable personally, and we were also very frustrated by the tub While the bath was nice, the tub refused to empty and we had to hold the drain up for the water to go down

Draining a two-person jacuzzi tub was not fun The basket breakfast was basic and unoriginal and the WiFi was spotty and disconnected repeatedly I would be interested in coming back if some of these matters were addressed and remedied!

Collin Vitek

Nice place, but maintenance is definitely an issue The light fixture was dangling by bare electrical wire, and the driveway was a sheet of ice They also didn’t shovel the sidewalk at all, which is wildly irresponsible

Edit, photos supplied since the place responded aggressively

Jenni Heaton

My 10-year old daughter and I came to Indianapolis from Michigan to see a show at the Murat Theater We picked Nestle Inn for its proximity to the theater The location was perfect

Even though it was 15 degrees outside, the walk to the theater and to all the restaurants on Massachusetts Ave was only a few minutes It felt like a very safe walk as well, even at 10pm at night We were fortunate enough to find parking right next to the inn on Walnut Street, but if you aren’t as lucky as us, the inn provides free parking at the school parking lot a block and a half awayThe home is an older home (as you would expect) so the floors creak a bit, and you could really hear outside noise (but there isn’t much of it, even on a Saturday night), and it’s a little cold but all the details in the place were so well thought out, these tiny things are so minor There were space heaters in the room and warm blankets should we have needed them, cozy robes, toiletries, maps of downtown not to mention fun amenities like popcorn to pop after our show, drinks in the fridge, libraries to explore The room and bathroom were SO clean Even though the place is older, there have obviously been updates and the bathrooms have been well taken care of Every corner was spotless (and I’m kind of a neat freak, so I look at things like this!)Breakfast at the local cafe next door (included in the room rate) was lovely and what a great idea for a local B&B to support local businesses like thatWe loved our stay Thank you, Nestle Inn! We will book again if we find ourselves coming to Indianapolis in the future!

Sean Rawley

We had an excellent four-night stay at the Nestle Inn in August 2022 We enjoyed the charm and comfort afforded by the inn– felt like a home away from homeThe location of the Inn is great too, just a block off of Massachusetts Avenue in a more residential area, but very walkable from restaurants, bars, and shopping

The check-in process was a breeze, and the breakfast vouchers meant we had more control over our schedule every morning/afternoon Parking was simple and, despite being on the street, my car was always a shorter walk away than it would have been had we stayed at a big-name hotel Leesa, the Innkeeper was a joy and always around for questions or to help Planning to stay here again in the future!

Eve _

Fantastic! We loved it and would stay there again if we are back in Indianapolis Comfortable, attention to detail Leesa helped us pick a restaurant and, as a couple who are still not eating out in restaurants, we were able to pick up our food, take it back to the inn and eat in the dining area on regular plates, silverware, etc

and not styrofoam It made it really feel like home Just really lovely Highly recommend

If I could rate this place 6 stars, I would If you have a pet, this is the friendliest, most pet-friendly hotel I have ever stayed at The staff were over-the-top welcoming and made us and our dog feel at home

Many times we are afraid to bring our big dog through the lobby and Vicki requested we bring him to give him a treat and love on him All of the staff were extremely helpful Then, once we parked and went to the side door to get in our room, we couldn’t get in (there was a trick to the door) Vicki was off work and got out of her car to help us The hotel was clean, in a great area, and had a great breakfast! Best pet-friendly hotel EVER!

Another great Hilton propertyStaff was very friendly and the location very cleanRooms needed some improvement though on the cleanliness side of the house

This hotel was excellent! We stayed here during Gen Con and every aspect of this hotel was on point The bed was very comfortable there were mulitple different pillows that had varying amounts of firmness so the sleep experience was excellent The amount of storage and space in these rooms is exceptional

Bathroom was clean and well appointed The large microwave, large fridge, sink, dishwasher, etc in the kitchen made for a nice experience if your staying for more than a niight or two and want some in room options for food and drink Staff was very friendly and helpful! The staff at here were AMAZING!! The staff was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed The hotel was super clean, the breakfast and evening reception was in point, and our kids loved the pool/jacuzzi The fitness center was also great and having laundry was as awesome! The hotel is located towards the end of downtown but it’s a hidden gem! Thank you Stay ridge and staff for everything you assisted with for me and my family! Book here, don’t hesitate!

We loved ALMOST everything about this hotel The 2 bedroom suite was perfect for my husband and I to take my tween granddaughter The kitchen had everything we needed

The staff were wonderful The breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of choicesThe only thing I didn’t like was the shower The floor of both bathroom showers were messed up and rusty I would not use the showers and that’s the reason for only 4 stars for the room

We had a wonderful time at the Staybridge Suites We took our grandkids there so they could swim and get in the hot tub It was enjoyed by all

Came with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher and cook top It was within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium Thank you so much to Chelsea and Greg and the rest of the great staff Will definitely come back

We love Hyatt Place hotels! Every chance we get we stay here in each city we visit The hotel is always gorgeous with great amenities and staff We stayed in downtown Indy and were in walking distance from almost everything

We had a short 2 night stay, but loved the area! The convenience to downtown was superb There were plenty of dining options and activities, and we always began our day with the amazing breakfast Hyatt provided For us it was perfect, but if you’re looking to spend a lot of time in the pool, you need to find another option Otherwise everything was great! The next city we visited didn’t have a Hyatt Place and we were definitely disappointed

Very comfortable, standard amenities and furnishing for the price point Staff are friendly BUT, the water is WAY too soft

I stay here frequently for work and mention this on check out every time Usually, the front desk staff just smile or laugh I don’t think they even understand what I’m talking about This hotel uses a water softener but overshoots the mark by about a mile You will spend twice the normal time showering or washing your hands, trying to rinse off the soap and shampoo In the end your skin still feels slimy I’ve even tried to explain to them how much water they’re wasting because of this but, again, I get glazed looks in response Please just stop with the water softener! Indy’s municipal water supply is just fine!

We’ve stayed at several Hyatt locations across the country and this one was great too, however the biggest downside here was the staff and how uninformative they were We were double charged for parking and charged an extra pet fee When we called back the front desk seemed to have an attitude even though she admitted it was a mistake

She was even doing other things while on the phone with me in several other conversations Please fix this Thanks

I booked this hotel via a 3rd party and I have to say I was very happy with my overall experience The entire staff was great especially Lacey I am not the easiest person to make happy and Lacey went above and beyond her call of duty everything from an extra blanket to extra pillows and all with a great and pleasant personality

This is a pet friendly hotel and I appreciate any company that welcomes your fur babies of all sizes My fur baby is almost 300 lbs and to find a place that doesn’t have a weight limit was a god sendThe room was great the bed could have been softer and the water pressure could have been way better but that is me just being picky I will definitely be staying at this hotel again Great hotel, awesome staff and fantastic company

So lets start by stating the staff was great Friendly, accommodating and super sympathetic to my situation My husband and I booked the NW loft

Just heads up that they do not disclose room sizes on their site and the angle of the photos were a bit misleading We were shocked when we get to the room to discover the room was TINY as well as the loft had some rickety older stairs to climb up & you cannot stand in the bed area due to the low ceiling You cannot tell that from the photos I am highly claustrophobic so the second we arrived it was a NO go for me We let the gentleman know that it wont work and he immediately scrambled to offer us another room ( Carriage Room) -MUCH appreciated, last minute for 2 of our 4 day stay, after that we’d have to go back to the original room or find another place to stay Size wise, room was much larger and breathable However, the room appeared to be very poorly maintained and most of the furnishings ( bed, futon etc) appeared to be selected for the room merely for aesthetic rather than comfort as they were SO uncomfortable The room appeared to be poorly cleaned and not maintained which was unfortunate as i think this would be such a nice room with a little extra TLCBreakfast is not hot quite yet due to COVID19- they delivered cute little baskets but both mornings we got our basket plates were delivered with Jelly/Jam on them but none of the items in the basket had Jelly or Jam so that was slightly off puttingWe’ve stayed at BNBs before, we’ve stayed in historical properties before but this felt different Again, staff was great and able to accommodate on the fly – just the room(s) themselves fell short for me

I had to go to Indianapolis on business and I was recommended this hotel by a coworkerIt was a very nice hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stayI booked my stay Through a third-party which was a mistake on my part but because I will stay in for two weeks the hotel manager upgraded me to an extended stay suite, it was very nice of him considering he did not have to do that! The decor in the hotel was very nice

The artwork was exceptional and very unique! The entire staff was very helpful and friendly throughout my entire two weeks they never had an issue during my stay!

It’s really the little things that set a hotel apart The first thing I noticed every time I come here is upon walking in the door a pleasant subtle aroma that is very calming Also from the valet to the front desk to the folks working in every role I’ve encountered, they are all pleasant and helpful

The rooms are modern, sleek, and quite comfortable The shower has a lovely rain head, the bed offers excellent support and there are plenty of electrical outlets for all of today’s necessary gadgets My favorite place to stay in Indianapolis

Martha Ward

I chose to stay at the Alexander because of their charging station in the garage The hotel staff were lovely My only gripe is I asked for another towel, when promised 20 minutes, it arrived an hour and a half later when we were in bed

The lounge treated us with kindness even though we had a 7 and 8 yr old in tow We enjoyed a tasty dessert and popcorn before heading to bed I’d stay there again
