My son and I visited the O Street Museum for the Secret Door Experience He is fascinated with hidden doors and secret rooms While there are over 80 to be found, if you find more than two or three, you are above average

We managed to find 14! I enjoyed the rich history of the property including learning about the hero in residence program, which hosted Rosa Parks for over 10 years Many of the bedrooms can be rented out as part of the inn Just about everything you see is for sale There’s so much to look at We enjoyed the guitars that were signed by famous singers and musicians We went during the week, bought tickets ahead of time, and we had practically the whole place to ourselves Staff was friendly and and informative You could go back again and again and see different things each time!

This has always been one of my favorite spots in DC I take all my out of town guests to visit I had a big birthday party for myself for 50+ guests and it was amazing

The food was incredible, the price so reasonable and the evening was magical They now have a “spooky” section for the kids I’ve told everyone I know about how special it is – unlike anything, anywhere Don’t miss it!

I was looking for a truly unique place to take my wife for her birthday, and the Mansion on O Street definitely lived up to expectations This is not a luxury hotel, but what it lacks in luxury, it more than makes up for in charm The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they worked hard to make sure our stay was enjoyable

There’s a lot of interesting history behind the Mansion, and the ability to explore it at any hour of the day or night was really cool We had originally booked a standard room, but when we got there, they gave us a choice of standard room or an entire suite across the street due to there being a special event at the Mansion that evening, so of course we took the free upgrade My only complaint was that the bed wasn’t as comfortable as it could have been, but we were only staying the night, so it was fine

The pros:-Great location to metro, eateries, George Washington University, the hospital, Whole Foods-great breakfast options-comfy bed! Slept great! The cons:-majority of personnel needs a LOT of customer service training! I have NEVER been talked to so rudely as I was at this Marriott! Flabbergasted!! I’ve been exclusive Marriott customer since 1988! This personnel needs an overhaul (not all but most!!)-needs a remodel (lobby has current decor), but the rooms and hallways – EEK!! Very dark, dim and dank Furniture is large and bulky, very 1980s-1990s feel-breakfast is quickly put away, and depending on who is manning the breakfast, it may or may not be refilled or refreshed 30 mins before closing it down

I’m simply talking coffee here!! Unacceptable! Very rude when asked about refilling coffee urn!-bathroom was ridiculously small! Room spacious, bathroom – barely room for one, quite awkward set up***main tip***Lock up everything of value in your room or take it with you!! Hopefully your safe works (ours did not) Unfortunately, there seems to be at least one bad apple in a position that has access to keys! Be advised!I would not stay here again

Ron Milkowski

Great location to GWU and Foggy Bottom Metro stop Room was spacious Bathroom was small but it served its purpose

Breakfast was not very good Seemed like everything was pre made and warmed Made my own breakfast in my kitchenette seeing Whole Foods was a 5 minute walk away I found the team to be nothing but nice No issues whatsoever On-site Parking is tight Only a few spots available in their underground parking Call ahead Would recommend Foggy Bottom Residence Inn and will be staying there again

KevAly Ferrero

Rooms were clean, close to everything, Good breakfast options and very friendly breakfast staff (especially the new guy (sorry didn’t get his name) and Tiffany (front desk) is awesome She is knowledgeable, helpful and has a great personality for greeting new arrivals and for the duration of your stayThe only improvements we would suggest is better lighting in the rooms and definitely better air conditioning in the rooms and in every part of the hotel

The air conditioning works but for us we like it colder

I stayed here for a week on a school trip and it was great Our group was well accommodated, and the staff were all very helpful The rooms were really nice and clean, and there was a whole kitchenette and a balcony

It was also within walking distance of a lot of other cool destinations I had a great time at this hotel and I would definitely recommend

Katelyn Collins

I reserved a hotel room for my fiance’s birthday We had a very pleasant stay The staff greeted us warmly and were very accommodating

They even upgraded our room for free! The room was very spacious, like a 1 bedroom apartment, with an attached balcony There was a decently stocked kitchen attached This is a pet friendly hotel, and a dog bed and bowls were provided at no additional charge The gentleman at the front desk even offered to walk our puppy for us There is a hospital close by, and the noises that come with that, and just DC noise in general, but they offer ear plugs, sleep masks and white noise machines The bed was comfortable Wifi was complimentary (a bit slow at times tho) Overall, I would stay here again

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and very comfortable The breakfast spread was nice

eggs, potatoes sausage and pastries Sad to have to use valet parking but there really is no other option available It would have been nice if it were included in the cost of the room with an option to tip the attendant All in all it was a great stay

Joyce Griffin

Very nice and clean Full kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, stove, garbage disposal, and large shower gel, shampoo, conditioner in bathroom All the amenities of a home away from home for a short term

No free parking for residence Steep at $27 over night Staying a few days so a bit pricey to me There was a stale odor on entering room Staff very accommodating and friendly

The guys at the front desk were great, as well as housekeeping and every one else behind the scenes Wanna give a shout out to Miles who works at the front desk, he was very charming and efficient, you could tell he took pride in his work We arrived maybe 30 minutes before check in and they were able to get us in our room in a timely manner The hotel was close to everything, we walked everywhere we wanted to go When we visit another major city AKA is present in we will definitely be staying with them Thank you

John Brimmer

It was in an excellent location wiyy try h every thing in walking distance Miles provided excellent customer service from when we checked in to checkout He was very professional and courteous and always greeted us with a smile

The room was very spacious and felt like home The only negative comment I have was with the shower/tub being high to step over which made it difficult getting into

This place was great for myself and my children The rooms are a lot smaller than I expected but comfortable The girls in the front desk were very helpful and friendly

My only disappointment was that my digital key did not work during my stay and after I paid for valet parking they told me they did not have a parking space available for me However, they accomodated me as best as they could which I appreciated The hotel is close to all attractions but use your car or your feet will hurt! Great place to stay 🙂

Christy Davis

First, the good, which isn’t much, but the lady at the front desk was very nice Now, the rest of the hotel was beyond terrible The digital key only worked half the time

It is a nonsmoking room, and one of our neighbors was smoking so much pot that our room wreaked to the point we got headaches We called downstairs to complain and it was going to take 2 hrs to fix I called Hilton’s customer service line and they got us a refund for that hotel and into a much nicer hotel for less money in under 30 minutes The area the hotel is in was not safe Our new hotel is in a much better section Please avoid this hotel

Susan Cassidy

The staff of this hotel are kind and welcoming They really keep an eye on things, which I appreciate We felt like we were safe and in good hands during our stay

We found the location really terrific, the lobby and room very comfortable I was with two other family members, and we got connecting rooms, which made the stay quite enjoyable Love having the equipped kitchen — many thanks for including the corkscrew!!

If you’re looking for luxury, this place is NOT it I reserved a suite for 12 nights and had to check out after the second day The rooms are dark and dismal

Small windows facing a brick wall, letting in very little sunlight I feel like I’m in someone’s basement The rooms are drab and the decor is old and outdated My blinds were half broken and the dishwasher is literally one push away from completely falling apart Nothing here is modern The only luxurious thing about this suite is that it has hot water and A/C Oh yeah and it’s within walking distance of a lot of places

Ras Pamoja Tutashinda El

What a disaster Luxury includes 20 min wait for towels and linen only to find out and not being told that there is no hot water in the entire building A promise that hot water might be Available at checkout

an unannounced 150 hold on your credit card NEVER AGAIN AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE 4pm checkin and an 11am checkout The only thing they would offer is sorry No stars if that was an option We traveled to DC in 97 degree weather did some sight seeing only to return back to the luxury suites with no water? Sad thing is they were still checking people in knowing there is no hot water

Momina Shafiq

Pros: Thre location is pretty central DC, its qalkimg distance to alot of places, the bus stand is at a 3ins walk as well Love that a CVS is literally right at the back of the buildingComing to the suites, the size is amazing, 1 bedroom, a good size tv lounge attached kicthen which have all the basic suppliesCons: i wish they had a washing machine in the suite as well or in the building

However ghe closest laundrette is 12 mins walking distanceIts super loud early in the morning from traffic noise to people talking loudly on the road, you can hear everything in this apartment, this used ro disrupt my sleep

Worst service I’ve had in a long time – possibly ever This rating should be negative zero stars My mother is visiting from out of town (very far away) and I had planned a nice day to include afternoon tea for the both of us as a special treat

We do not get time together very often Imagine our surprise and disappointment when we arrived and the restaurant had no signs of life – closed without notice I went to the concierge desk of the Watergate and was informed it had been closed days before with no explanation and that they were sorry but the reservation must have been made through a glitch in their system The woman behind the counter was very nonchalant and not at all concerned, even when I showed her proof of my reservation Funny since I received both an email and two text reminders asking me to confirm, and was also charged for a prepaid tea service The Watergate staff did not offer any recompense, said I would have to resolve the charge to my card online, and to “try Georgetown” for something today Absolutely unacceptable! I will not be returning and will make sure to recommend against it every time I thought it would be fun to try, but there are plenty of better other and obviously better options in the area anyway I should add there were a couple of other guests in front of us who seemed extremely distraught by poor service and their rooms not being ready, so overall I would say this establishment should be passed over in every respect

Olivier Saint-Vincent

100% recommended!!If you are looking for a 5 stars ⭐️ hôtel in DC, this is the one It was perfectly located for us between Georgetown and the Mall (walking distance), and very quiet at the same time Gym, pool, jacuzzi, library, breakfast are great

You can walk by the Potomac easily… and it’s one of the best rooftop in DC The architecture is beautiful and bold The staff is very attentive and always there to help We can say that the new GM know how to make a stay unforgettable!!!

Adam Galazka

Absolutely stunning hotel Amazing location by the Potomac River Walking distance to many different stores and restaurants

Check in was great Valet parking on site for $58 a night Rooms are spacious and the most comfortable bed Some rooms do have balconies with waterviews but they are a little dirty When trying to call the front desk it took awhile for them to answer the phone Besides a couple of those negative we would definitely come back

Cannot say enough about the entire staff! So courteous and helpful the entire six days of my stay Great breakfast, too As for the location, we had access to the farmer’s market on Connecticut, the metro and Georgetown

Georgetown was about a 20 min walk, which was fine for us, as we love to walk Felt secure going out after dark, even at 2 am to take the dogs out to pee Underground parking was good, too Hughly recommend Will definitely stay here again🙂

Edgardo Honda

The property is worn out It needs a top to bottom update The beds are very soft provides no support and out backs hurt in the morning

The a/c is motion sensitive and it stops cooling at night and woke up sweating The bathroom toiletries are cheap Other Marriott hotels have very nice toiletries We even found a roachI love Marriott hotels and go out to the way to stay with them buy this one has been forgotten by the company

Heidi P

The staff is friendly, housekeeping was great But the rooms really need some repair/updates We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom units

The carpet was frayed in places, some of the lamp shades were stained, the mattresses were both HARD AS A ROCK, one of the bathroom faucet handles was loose and some of the tile base in the bathrooms were coming off The location is good, being several blocks from the metro station And we found many great restaurants close by

Nice and clean rooms with room service on both days of our stay, which was pleasantly surprising You don’t get that unless you ask these days Friendly staff that tended to all our requests

Were upgraded to a suite for one of the rooms on our reservation Kitchen was super helpful as we are traveling with a 10 month old infant I ordered multiple food and grocery deliveries to be left at the reception and never had an issue Good job hotel management! You’re doing a much better job than some others in the same class out there

Carrie K

Honestly, I’d I could give more than 5 stars I would Everyone was incredibly kind and made us feel like we were coming home The breakfast was nice, but again the wonderful staff helped put it over the top! The valet was helpful and convenient

They let us pack our car and keep it garaged after our checkout so we could finish out our day again The rooms were cozy and large I felt like I got much more than what we paid for Our family will definitely be staying here again!

Kristina. Lumapas

Overall everything was great from check-in to checkout Room was clean, bathroom felt luxurious and kitchen was fully equipped The only downside was the bed size

We booked a room with king bed and what we got was a queen We reported this to front desk and they insisted that it was their king size bed I couldn’t be wrong with the size since we have a regular king bed at home, not even a California king bed, and theirs was just too small, I’m very sure it was a queen If you’ll get assigned to room 1010, don’t expect a king bed, it’s just too small My husband slept on the couch since me, our preschooler and him couldn’t fit

We were given a warm greeting every time we came in, this was true of every employee we encountered Our plane was delayed and we didn’t arrive until 2:30am, we were expected and welcomed It’s a dog friendly hotel and I almost cancelled because every dog friendly place I’ve ever stayed is grubby

You would never know they have doggy guest unless you see one The outside tables were such a nice place to just relax The rooms were large, comfortable and exceptionally clean The location is convenient, we had no need for a car I would absolutely stay there again

Room was amazing and a quick walk to the Foggy Bottom Metro Station I spent weeks looking for the perfect hotel and found this place at the last minute and I am so glad that I did My family of 4 which included to younger kids stayed in the Potomac One-Bedroom Double Suite was perfect for us

As it had a separate bedroom, a living space, and a kitchen with a full size fridge and freezer, microwave, and two small stove tops The kitchen came stocked with utensils and dishes I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking

We stayed in the suite The rooms were very clean and comfortable We could have used extra blankets, but by the time we noticed it was late and didn’t want to wait for the front desk / housekeeping so we didn’t ask

The inn is a short 15 minute walk to the Lincoln Memorial and other sites The staff was very helpful and friendly We would definitely stay here again

The room was perfectly clean and had everything we needed The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful when we arrived We were given clear instructions about self parking, which was helpful

The breakfast was better than expected, and had gluten-free options to accommodate my food allergy At check-out, the doormen were kind enough to stack our belongings on a rolling cart and bring it out to my car without us having to ask They really went above and beyond to make us comfortable

Brent

Great hotel We stayed in a suite which was great value! The room was clean, love the small kitchen which was useful! The location of the hotel was great – really close to the metro station and the staff were super friendly The downsides of the the pressure of the tap sink wasn’t strong, there wasn’t a kettle or teabags and no bathroom robe was provided

Otherwise would recommend

I’m just wrapping up my weekend in DC and had to leave a review for this Residence Inn! This operation is a well oiled machine, everyone has a job and executes that function perfectly and then goes above and beyond to make an experience for the guest The breakfast ladies have all been spectacular, Elaine especially She is a picture of true hospitality

Each person I run into has a smile and warm greeting and you really feel at home here This is not easy to do in a city like this and I would 100% recommend staying here to anyone for business or pleasure! Also want to add, the hotel is in a great location within walking distance to many restaurants and the National theater It is also on major bus lines if wanting to go that route to get to the museums!

The breakfast has great options and “Dave” runs the breakfast area like his own kitchen Thanks Residence Inn for this great experience! Will definitely be back for future stays!

Good location that is connected to a nice shopping area with a movie theater, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, a tailor, barbershop and more They do not have balcony’s or any individual outdoor spaced for the room, but there is a sitting area outside The pool was broken throughout the entire stay

The room was spacious, the shower head needed some attention

Worst hostel I’ve stayed in so far Whole place smells like sweat because of the “no shoes” rule which is clearly only there so they can save money on cleaning Rooms are clean and the beds are fine, but our room had a neon red bright exit sign that couldn’t be turned off and lit up the room at night

Also, one bathroom for the whole floor, really? Would’ve rather spent a little extra and got a hotel roomThe hostel doesn’t exactly encourage socializing either All the people we met were great, but the only nice common area (rooftop) closes way too early and the rest of the common areas are sweltering hot due to the lack of AC Also, no drinking after 10pm apparently Can’t even enjoy a beer in the heatThe only positive is the location, which really is good Walking distance to most of the good places in DC and right next to a grocery store Honestly the location is the only reaons this review has two stars and not oneOverall, I expected more from a hostel in the nation’s capital

The location and staff are excellent The included breakfast is nice, even if it’s just pancakes Rooftop patio area great for relaxing and chatting

The hostel has a good social atmosphere Parking is a bit pricey since it’s downtown, but most people visiting this hostel are from overseas so it doesn’t matter as much Would stay here again when visiting DC

Great stay for my first time at a hostel The staff are very friendly and helpful, and willing to give recommendations for food in the area The free pancakes every morning were great

All the facilities were kept clean The hostel is well located near many attractions The only real complaint was that the wifi was slow but with 20+ people there that is to be expected

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a hotel They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area

I have been staying here for years If you decide to stay here you won’t regret itRoom was clean and spacious The bed was very comfortable and the staff was super accommodating When we had an issue with the temperature of the room, they immediately sent up a fan to keep us comfortable

Great rooms!!! Clean, minimalist hotel with good environment, restaurant was 10/10, food 10/10, parking 5/10 you have to walk to get to your car I just wanted to say ALEX should be a MANAGER here

He was so kind and knowledgeable of everything The only one We think he should run the whole receptionWhen we got here after a long drive we had to wait 30 minutes to get it out room because someone mix our names and gave our room to someone else which is understandable but unacceptable, that’s why my 4 stars

This is our second time staying here (our first was the night we got engaged!), and the place is great Wonderful price, clean and spacious rooms, reasonable parking, and friendly staff! The location is wonderful! We were able to walk to the national mall easily, where my fiancé proposed, and return to our hotel for the night Will most likely stay here again!!
