Local Oklahoman for ten plus years Over that time my wife and I have stayed at numerous B&B’s in the area The Monastery by far had the most secluded romantic feel out of all of them

The grounds are enclosed with a natural stone wall and trees lining the property The beautiful lake is the center point that the house was designed around The keepers have done an amazing job lining the side of the lake with different areas to sit and enjoy the lakeside views Also side note, my wife and I are vegetarian and they did a great job customizing our breakfast for usMonastery is my first recommendation for anyone in the metro looking for a secluded B&B

We had a room rented at this wonderful bed & breakfast for NYE then had to cancel last minute We decided to rebook on a Sunday and have had the most relaxing time The Monastery at Forest Lake is nestled in Forest Park, OK on 14 gloriously wooded acres

There is a lake where you can fish, pool during the summertime, year round hot tub, common room with fusbol, pool table, board games and kitchen area We stayed in the Robert S Kerr room which is huge with the most comfortable bed Every 3rd Sunday of the month they have musicians that gather in the chapel for a Celtic jam session and we were lucky enough to get to hear them last night The hosts are most gracious and accommodating The only thing we regret is not booking 2 or 3 nights

This place is a little slice of heaven here on earth We showed up around 6 pm and although the gates were closed we called Matt, and his daughter quickly opened upSadie gave us a tour of the Monastery and we quickly fell in love

It was so relaxing and even when we woke up to 4 inches of snow I enjoyed itMatt had a lot if information about where to go and gave me the history of the MonasteryVida was also was so helpful She pulled our car up so we didn’t have to walk in the snowThe breakfast here is so much better than any hotel You have to ask Sadie for her quiche One of the best I have ever hadThey have a chappel for weddings tooSo no matter what your reason I would highly recommend the Monastery

No alarm clock in room, everything else was good Desk staff seemed pretty new and frequently responded with “um, I’m not sure’ when asked a question VERY sweet and friendly young lady

I’m sure she’ll become more knowledge and confident the longer she works there Hotel was extremely clean Breakfast needs work I’m not sure what the meat was on the first day but it was nasty with pockets of fat throughout each slice Was not able to locate yogurt Everything else was great!

Drew Wichman

There were lots of amenities in the room and the breakfast was amazing We stayed two nights and our sheets were never changed nor were we giving any extra towels for the second night The location is near bricktown but it’s also located near a gravel factory and there are several other hotels surrounding it that share parking lot so it can get loud sometimes

Overall, we had a good stay and I would go back simply for the fact that they had a big refrigerator, a stove, other dishes and appliances, and real comfortable beds with a nice flat screen TV

The management and staff at this hotel have been fantastic I had to come into town because my father fell ill What was expected to be a stay of a few days has so far turned into a couple of weeks

During our stay the management and staff have been very accommodating with my chaotic needs as I have had to extend my stay several timesThe rooms are very nice for the price, especially considering the amenities for the rooms and property My room had a fridge an a microwave which became a necessity as the length of my stay increased The laundry room was also very convenient considering I hadn’t brought enough clothes for my lengthened tripThe maintenance staff checked in regularly and gave me space when needing to focus on work form my roomOverall I would definitely recommend this hotel for any purpose because although my stay was primarily for person/family, I had no issues being able to work from my room as needed

Lacy broomhall

The entryway is really pretty with the colorful water bubbles This place is very modern The bed was soft

The breakfast is okay I feel like they could benefit from having a second elevator Maybe I expect too much for a room that’s $150 a night but it was just okay here nothing exceptional I made a lot of trips in and out the building I stayed two nights and by the time I was all night too I was ready to go from the people people staring as you walk through the lobby to go to and from your room

Jason Clark

We had an excellent experience here during our 4-night stay Room was comfy, quiet, able to be completely darkened at night Beds and pillows are not the best but fine

Room is cleaned daily and very well Breakfast is good and is very well attended to and restocked as needed no matter the time Again, everything very clean Staff is accommodating and friendly Pool is very chilly, but the kids adjusted fine Adjacent hot tub is very toasty and inviting Overall, no complaints We would definitely mark it as a rebook if we ever come this way again

Stayed here for 3 nights Staff was always so sweet and accommodating Room was clean, and the full fridge, dishes, dishwasher, microwave were very convenient and we used them daily

Beds were too soft for my preference, but that was a minor thing Breakfast was good with waffles, bagels, English muffins, toast, yogurt, fruit, eggs in various forms, oatmeal, juices Pool was outside and the kids had fun using it Was a little cold for them Would definitely stay here again!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Home 2 Suites South! From the moment my parents and I checked in, we noticed the cleanliness of the lobby and friendliness of the front desk representative Shannon! She was a great help that night and throughout our stay-she is an exemplary employee! I must add every front desk representative was great and provided great service, but Shannon stood out! I was also impressed by the housekeeping staff! They keep the hotel and rooms very clean, smelling fresh and looking nice; they were also very friendly and helpful! I was weary about staying at a hotel that is pet-friendly but because they clean so well, I didn’t smell any pet smells or see any pet hairs or poop anywhere-thank you so much for doing such a great job!

Charles Williams

My family and I always stay at a Home2 hotel when we travel We really enjoy the experience Unfortunately this time I experience unfavorable parking

After checkout heading to my vehicle I noticed the driver’s side front window was busted My truck got broken into during the daytime I hope this never happens again and the property’s manager can beef up his security team and surveillance cameras to make the environment more safe and secure because I really like staying there Other than that the staff, manager and employees are all wonderful people super friendly and professional I hope we have a better experience next time Safety first!

I had a great stay at this hotel recently The rooms are clean and comfy although a little outdated, the staff was friendly as can be, and the black bear diner was so phenomenal and is within a short walking distance from the hotel My only complaints about the place are that there is construction going on so I drove around for 20 minutes trying to find the hotel which is no fault of theirs

I ended up parking at the Sheraton, walking to the hotel and asking how to get my vehicle there and they were super helpful Besides that, just little things like my key card not working and the eggs for breakfast being sliced like cubes instead of fluffed to try to imitate actual eggs At the end of the day, I would stay there again because the rooms were fine, staff was amazing, and the food nearby was out of this world Not to mention that they have the GOOD dog treats (the bacon ones) My pups are so picky about treats and usually don’t take the hand outs (spoiled) but they happily ate the bacon treats they were offered

Ashley Nickell

My friend found bedbugs in her room We were all on the same floor and only one room apart maybe After going to the front desk and telling them about it I was instructed to go back to my room and wait for the manager to call me

We had video evidence I was told after the hotel staff confirm they were bedbugs in my room they would contact me I still have not been contacted and I am unsure if it was inspected by a pest control company As I was told my friends room did not have bedbugs and there was not a bug guy at the hotel We had to bag all our clothing We had to change hotels this was during a competition and database inconvenience we missed performances It made the day extremely stressful and definitely put a damper on our trip to Oklahoma City Three out of the forecast in my room have bites on them I would just like small solution to this issue We have had to steam Everything that can’t be washed, we have to have a car treated, And we have costumes that cannot be washed or have steam applied to them so now we are trying to figure out how to salvage 2 to $300 costumes

We stay here for our 2022 spring break Our visit was amazing and pleasant Stay was 4 days and we enjoyed every day of the stay! The front desk worker did an excellent job

Becky and Allyson were my favorite I loved seeing them at the desk during the morning hours My babies was upset about the pool being not open but other then that we enjoyed our stay Thank you to the Best Western Team

Savannah Angel Vogel

We stayed 2 nights Check in was fast and easy The ladies at the front desk were very nice

The room was very clean and I always do a walk through and check the beds before unpacking my stuff We took advantage of the free breakfast, it was good and had more selections than the average hotel breakfasts They have Tesla charging stations if you own a Tesla We do not, but thought worth mentioning The only issue we had was the second night our tv would not connect to cable but we were so tired it didn’t matter to us so we did not attempt to complain to get it fixed The price was good We were very happy Would recommend and stay again!

Choosey Gilliland

My children and I had the best time and enjoyed our stay tremendously during the 3 days we were there Everyone was so nice and helpful with anything and everything we asked for Kim, Justin, Rebecca, and Allyson were phenomenal

We love this place Super friendly staff, everyone we met who is also staying here have been families Everyone has been happy and super nice

We had a very enjoyable stay, the only thing we didn’t like was the bed We found it a bit too firm for us, but we are old farts so we like softer beds That being said, we will stay here again without question!!!

Vanessa R

Happy to stay in a clean place with comfy beds and lots of room The room has a cooked food smell but considering they all have mini kitchens and carpet

Smells are going to stick! Also, pet fee is steep for one night We were using hotel points but 75 dollars for one night stay is rough Overall a decent stay but probably not if you’re traveling with pets

Had an amazing time at this hotel It was so cute and well designed The staff were so very friendly and helpful with everything that we needed and we sensitive to our wishes making great suggestions on how to make our stay the best it could possibly be

We also had a few drinks at the bar which has a lovely atmosphere and the bartenders were attentive, knowledgeable and very kind I would highly recommend getting the bread and butter with a drink at the bar The most amazing bread and butter I have ever had, you’ll just have to trust me on this one! The rooms were fairly comfortable, not as comfortable as your bed at home but quite nice for a hotel I can’t recommend this place enough for a weekend stay or just a fun night out!

Austin Murray

This review is for the restaurant only, not the hotel which we did not experienceThe restaurant honored our reservation and we were seated fairly quickly The eating space is not expansive so my wife and I were at a 2 person table and a small room along with a few other tables and the pastry area and espresso machine

The drinks were exquisite and the wine list was exhaustive However I ordered a traditional serving experience for absinthe and they were unfortunately ill-equipped to make that happenI thought the food was very tasty for the price range We’ve had better food and bigger portions at more expensive places of course However my wife felt it was more of a six out of 10 while I would give it an eight out of 10 I left still a little hungry Desserts were limited and your best bet is to pick something from the pastry counter

Josh Birdwell

The staff made this stay wonderful They are friendly and helpful The first night our shower wasn’t draining well and it was addressed immediately

We ate at the restaurant which was yummy The lounge areas are perfect for relaxing and reading a book We had their coffee and treats from the bakery This was a excellent choice for a staycation It’s close to many popular eating spots

This hotel was adequate in every way I felt as though my stay was completely worth the price I paid My bed was very comfortable and my room was clean and well stocked

I stayed four nights on business and never requested housekeeping so I can’t comment on that, but I felt very comfortable The location is pretty good and easy I did not have a car, but the valet seemed to have things running smooth The staff was nice and everything felt clean Breakfast had a good selection, but wasn’t anything to write home about I think this hotel is well positioned on the cheaper side of hotels in the area and they meet the mark for service at that price point I would stay again

Kashong Vang

The location was perfect Within walking distance to all the attractions such as the water taxi’s, Brickopolis, the baseball stadium, Myriad Botanical Garden, to name a dew The hotel is nice and inviting, clean, and pet friendly with a $75 pet fee

We got a suite with a king sized bed and a pull out sofa Not many hotels that have “suits” come with an actual stove top, a larger sized refrigerator (not the tiny ones where you can’t anything), a full sized microwave, and kitchenware Our room faces directly into the baseball field, I imagine if there was a ballgame we could’ve watched right from the window The breakfast was well prepared and plated I rated a 3 because although the staff provided service, they were not very personable There was only one guy, who I think was maintenance or cleaning that smiled and greeted me and other guests All other staff members who I ran into didn’t make eye contact or even say hello Although the place is dazzling and clean, it would be even better if the staff smiled more Thank you

gary scheffer

I had stayed here a week ago and enjoyed everything about the hotel, from the rooms, breakfast, dinner, and customer service inside and out The valett Cole B was very nice and ran to my car to grab whatever I needed every time I forgot something

Inside Danielle was amazing and brightened my morning each day Definitely would suggest this hotel to anyone on business or just vacation

Hotel is thoughtfully represented in a historic area of downtown, rightfully representing its past as a former ford factory Parking outside of valet is a bit out of the way, but a little walk is expected and enjoyed when your down town Just prepare for inclement weather if your not valet parking

Upon checking in the staff was extremely kind and helpful, they answered any questions we had and asked if we had stayed before In case you haven’t they will give you a run down of what to expect from the hotel, it’s amenities, and it’s rooms The food is great and can be ordered from room service, and while you wait you can take a stroll down the hills and through the lobby area, after all, your staying in a literal art museum The exhibits are unique and beautiful The purple penguins are an art exhibit within themselves but you can feel free to move and manipulate them Just don’t take one off the premises The rooms have high ceilings, espresso machines, industrial styles plumbing attachments, a lit closet, sliding doors, and a massive window beyond the head of the bed Converting this into a hotel was done so with ample thought Inside the room lighting is versatile and charging opportunities are ample Overall a great and interesting stay, even if just for a night, you can’t beat the pricing for what you receive If you get the chance to stay, book, book, book!!!!

Love this hotel, good location for a night life the 80s retro bar around the corner was awesome, the rooms was huge with tall ceilings and big widows A modern feel, the museum throughout the hotel on the first level was pretty cool and my kids loved it The art work on the other floors was pretty cool

The restaurant for the hotel was a bit pricey but good The staff was very accommodating Will definitely stay here again

Nannan Yang

All I can say is … it was different Between Mind-blowing and mind-boggling, I don’t know which one to say…Service: the staff are very friendly and always on top of everythingSurroundings: Sightseeing ~ not short of things to see … there’s museum, art exhibition, some creative art sculptures , and even a few videos /movies to watch

Room: upgraded to a suite Room was huge with tall ceilings and big widows Very modern and futuristicFacilities: restaurants offers gourmet food Their new restaurant that connects to the pool was doing a grand opening and tasting event at the time we were there I would love to go there and try the food if I go there again in the futureIf you are tired of the ordinary 5 star hotel owned by the big enterprises, definitely check this place out Nice for a change!

Had a reservation but when I arrived there they didn’t have a room for me The front desk lady told me they were sold out for the night to find out the next morning they weren’t actually full by another employeeThese rooms do not have a microwave

I did not have a trash can in my room and my sink was dirty was mudThere is no complimentary breakfast, in fact it was $1295 plus a 91% sales tax, so nearly a $15 meal I had to stay the first night of my trip next door at the Hampton Inn and they had the same breakfast there for freeUpdate- I advised the staff that my sink needed to be cleaned and that I need a trash can in my room before I left for the day I returned and my room was not cleaned, sheets weren’t replaced, and still no clean sink or trash canAlso my shower would not heat up any more than luke warm

Jazmine Smooth

I walk into the building and the smell of animals hit my nose to the hundred power!!! Once I get to the room on the 4th floor, so I kick back ready to take a nice shower then I realize the bathroom door is shape like a barn with a sliding door that dosnt shut all the way no privacy at all also the floor I was on was packed instead of being spaced away from other residents I give this place a1 star

Nicole Richards

I wish there was an option for zero stars I drove across the country and this was the worst hotel that I stayed in anywhere in the US! The laundry, hot tub, ice maker, and refrigerator were out of order

I asked about the ice maker and was told to go to another floor to get it I got a rash from the bedsheets It has been several days and the rash will not go away I would 100% not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great location, however the guest service needs improvement The cards to open access to the hotel, pool, and our rooms did not work even after being reset several times The guest service people acted like it was our fault the cards didn’t work due to them being by our phones (even though they weren’t)

We rented 3 rooms This happened with all of our room cards 2 of our rooms did not have working TVs, and there was no shampoo or conditioner in the shower containers I typically don’t leave negative reviews, but for the price, there are so many other options with better service and amenities close by

Stephen Daray (Steve D)

I know some of the service issues has to do with covid and people getting back to the way that they used to stay at hotels I had a couple problems with the service but not the people who were actually working They were great

However, we did not get the room clean once when we were there despite us asking more than once We continually had asked for towels The sheet to the bed was ill-fitted and on top of that the bed was just kind of uncomfortable The location was great The people are friendly It could easily move up to a four-star eating if they get their housekeeping situation in order

Dave Thornton

Great location in brick town Tons of restaurants and the few I’ve been to have all been great!! This hotel is very clean and the breakfast is better than other hotels The little quiche were tasty

Flaky and light All items at breakfast were stocked and they even took my plates when I was done Doesn’t get any better than this at a hotel Huge room like a 1 bedroom apartment With full kitchen and separate bedroom I’m very impressed!!

We liked the spacious rooms and beds were comfortable, liked that it had a kitchenette, and clean for the most part Breakfast was okay but the waffle maker wasn’t working Looks nice but very cheaply built, many items/walls damaged, missing handles on kitchen cabinets

Appliances and front of cabinets are scratched Poor placement of microwave (does not open all the way lol) toilet seat was loose so my husband fixed it and one of the floor tiles was loose

*CAT OWNER*Nice and clean hotel, they accommodated to my cat and I ($20 per fee, non refundable) The front desk employee was polite and greeted with a smile

The room was clean and the bathroom was well equipped with hair dryer, etc The shower was clean and heated quickly and the pressure was good!Free shuttle to Bricktown too! 😊I would recommend staying here with or without pets

We drove across country These rooms, by far, were the best And that’s competing with a “luxury” hotel in New Mexico

Our room had a two-element stove and pots and pans (which we used), a bright and pristine aesthetic and cleanliness, a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, which we had an issue with at EVERY other stop we made across the country And this location is a short, straight shot to downtown OKC But it also provides a shuttle there anyway! And service was great! 5 stars!

My wife and I were traveling with our dog from Des Moines to Austin and decided to spend the night in OKC We were looking for a hotel that was dog friendly, had an electric vehicle charger (its nice to wake up to a full charge!), and had a refrigerator for keeping my medication cold Home2 Suites checked all the boxes and was in a great location- near 35 but not so close that we could hear it from the room

The staff is friendly, the hotel is modern and clean, and the complimentary breakfast was good I’ll plan to stay again the next time I make the trip

So far our stay has been really good There was a mixup at check-in with our room, but the manager Jessie, I hope I spelled that correctly, has been absolutely fantastic She has gone above and beyond for me and my family

We were able to move into the correct room, after 1 night in a comparable room, which is exceptional The room is extremely clean and comfortable Jessie even delivered our new room keys up to us so we wouldn’t have to go back downstairs I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be staying here again Also, Jessie needs a raise! Customer service is everything in this business and she scored off the charts in this area

It would be nice if there was a half a star option for this location Where should I start??? Two words BED BUGS! When it was brought to the attention of the ladies at the front desk, she was very nonchalant as if she knew about it When I checked in she gave me an upgrade

Nice upgrade to have been bitten on the right side of my should and upper back I had to replace my clothes This lady gave delayed empathy and offered to give me quarters to put my clothes in the dryer I came to Oklahoma with a purpose and putting clothes in the dryer with the intention of killing bed bugs was not part of that purpose I do appreciate one of the ladies that was there Saturday in the afternoon She was not aware of what happened but she immediately expressed GENUNINE Empathy I wish I would have seen her name to give her kudos So in a nutshell stay ay this hotel only if you want the “Red Bite Special”

Stayed at this hotel recently One of the front desk employees was very rude (one was very nice) Having stayed at this same hotel a year ago, I was shocked at how run down it had become in just a year

Our room was dirty Bathroom floor looked like it had not been cleaned There was pet hair on the sheets I spent about 5 minutes picking dog hair off the bottom sheet The porcelain was chipping off the bathtub The breakfast last year was excellent with several hot item choices This year there was eggs and bacon (which was limp and very greasy) but no waffle mix even though there were waffle irons on the counter There was no cereal offered; no yogurt; no pastries, no fruit…Only bread ( for toast), and a few bagels The toaster only toasted one side of the bread I peaked in the kitchen and saw cereal canisters that contained cereal I’m not sure why it wasn’t out on the counter for the guests to eat There was something on the carpet right outside our door (a white powdery substance) that was there the entire 4 days of our stay We won’t be staying here again

Okay this hotel The hotel is about three years old and it seems to be very clean The lady at the front desk was very nice

The hotel seems to be popular We got to our room and I alway wipe down things since covid and the room seemed clean the beds were nice and comfortable Then my husband got the uv light out and omg the floor was horrible and I mean bad So do not walk on the floor without shoes or slippers The pool was pathetic and small and tiny and not clean at all The breakfast was horrible and nasty It was very clean and presented well but it was just gross and for this I would probably puck a differant hotel

I was surprised with how clean the rooms are Beds are comfy and breakfast was hot Unfortunately pool was closed and also the elevator

Overall stay was fine if you don’t mind the sketchy people walking around from across the street Also gas station next door brings homeless and they tend to hang out I recommend staying if it’s just for the night or a couple days

Kimberly Wilkerson

I was pleasantly surprised! Surrounding hotels are a bit suspect This one was clean and staff was amazing Our room was very clean, a few lightbulbs were out and there wasn’t a shower curtain when we arrived, but the staff was able to fix those issues for us

Breakfast choices were great, clean eating area Only issue was breakfast wasn’t ready on time at 6 which causes a delayed start to our day The swimming pool was clean and very warm Hope to visit again soon!

Elevator out of order, poor counter clerk is completely overwhelmed I booked a king room two days prior to arrival, they had none available on check-in- I think the hotel is oversold Check in was stressful

Poor clerk has been run-raggedMy room is fine, smells like bleach (good thing) Linens appear clean, I don’t see signs of bed bugsI travel for work I stay at a lot of comfort inns I’m actively concerned for my vehicle’s safety and am pretty sure I’m gonna get broken into because I have boxes of sheets, pillows, kitchen stuff and clothes that’s entirely impractical to unpack for one night at a hotel I’m completely unfamiliar with the area–and I gotta say the surroundings look rough–and that’s hard to ascertain from a Google map view– else I may have selected a different place to bookThere’s a vehicle safety warning on the building The elevator is broken, so if I wanted to unpack my car to make it less enticing to break into, I’d be hauling #4 50lb boxes up to the third floor Gotta pass and take my chancesSo maybe don’t stay here if you have your travel apartment packed up in your car and have bum kneesQuick night in with no luggage and well functioning joints? You’ll probably be fine!

Stayed for a night while in OKC for a concert The location is pretty close to some stores and a Mexican restaurant right next to it but there’s food at the hotel Breakfast is 6:00 Am to 9:00 Am I do believe

Reception is really nice aswell I didn’t get in the pool but it was probably pretty clean I didn’t care for the TV as there wasn’t really anything on but I didn’t expect there to be anything so I had a tablet Overall really good I would stay here again

We’ve stayed here multiple times since my husband is working in the area, we always book through bookingcom and haven’t had an issue until this weeks stay They charged us through booking

com and the hotel, putting us in the negative They told us it was a hold on our card but they shouldn’t have done that and have never done it before in the multiple times we have stayed When we tried to fix it with them they told us there was nothing they could do and we’d have to call our bank even though it was completely their fault Our bank cannot fix this error We’ve probably spent over two grand staying here at this hotel, so the fact that they were dismissive and rude is beyond me

Mary Hamrick

My husband and I had a good experience here Check in and out were smooth; the front desk ladies were extremely nice and helpful (sorry I forget their names)The room was better than I expected

Firm bed which I like with soft pills which my husband likes The shampoo, conditioner and soap were greatBreakfast was full of food and drinksmore than we expected We were not able to take full advantage due to long trip ahead and we were running late There was 3 cereals, yogurt, pastries, biscuits, eggs, you could make waffles, and fruit For drinks they had juices, hot chocolate, coffee, cold milk
