We chose this hotel for our first visit to DC, and I would stay here a million times again Since the beginning the manager Angie was wonderful and accommodating She gave us exactly the room that we needed, and the rest of the staff was wonderful as well

The room was beautiful, very nicely furnished and with a very convenient kitchen with everything we could need to cook a good meal Breakfast was simple but just right, and the shuttle service was one of the most convenient amenities, besides the location We were exhausted after spending all day out, and coming back to the hotel was always a pleasure Thank you so much for being our home for 5 days, we will see you again next year!

Where do I start – I think the biggest reason is due to the maintenance person coming into our room He knocked and we were in bed – we jumped up and stated

we were coming My husband (in underwear only – barely dressed) stood up quickly as he was walking in The first response from the maintenance man was “why didn’t you say anything?” – when we said we did – he proceeded to COME IN!!! he had towels – I had on a light robe My husband told him to place the towels down in the kitchenette area He proceeded to walk past him and set them on the table – my husband had to stand in front of him because he was trying to see me! He then started saying “ok, so that is 4 towels for room blah blah blah” – I felt totally violated and unsafe! I wanted to leave!!! After my husband reassured me – because he was trying to keep his cool – we finally felt better We placed the dead bolt on the door and then there was another knock! This knock was housekeeping We again, told them we were in the room – but apparently she didn’t hear us and started walking in! Thank goodness we had the dead bolt on at this time This time we called and complained They told us they would take $40 off the roomThe room was not the cleanest The chair had a ton of stains on it and the pillowcase had a stain on it The only reason the score isn’t lower is because the front desk ladies were nice and the hotel was at a great location to the event we went to I will never stay again though

If or when I return to DC, THIS is where I will stay

There are so many praises I could give this hotel From being able to cook (electric stove) and use a dishwasher, to the availability of a standard top/freezer refrigerator, the hotel even offered breakfast meals every morning and not just fruit and cereal, but eggs, potatoes, sausage, french toast sticks, danishes, juice, (it really depended on the day) On top of what I just mentioned, the staff is lovely and responsive to any issues The knobs were not turning on the stove and after informing the concierge, it LITERALLY took them ONLY 35 mins to respond (as I timed them) To me, in a hotel this large, THAT IS FAST!!! I will recommend all of my friends to stay at this hotel!

Wonderful stay with excellent location and phenomenal staff Breakfast was more than adequate to get my family onto our adventures for the day Spacious rooms

I’ve stayed in various areas of DC on 6 trips, and this has by far been my favorite Close to everything, in a very safe and charming neighborhood Close to the big city feel, but lovely homes adorned with gardens, plenty of restaurants, etc I will return to this location exclusively moving forward- it’s perfect!

Briana Cooper

It was a very nice hotel and very clean It was in a great area as well We were able to walk to all the monuments and everything else we wanted to do

It wasn’t super busy and the staff is so nice and friendly The breakfast is a few you have to pay on top of the hotel room fee and you can’t opt out of it It’s $25 a day so that wasn’t as ideal because the breakfast was not worth that at all The breakfast is also in the next building over so you have to leave the hotel to go to that building to get the breakfast But other than that we loved staying here and will totally recommend

Emanon Jones

Great hotel, very clean Friendly staff and complimentary snacks and water/juice was nice in the morning and happy hour is nice as well Nice to offer breakfast too! Very close to everything and it was a nice walk from Union Station if you are catching the train or bus in/out of Washington

Spent three great days here The hotel is located close to nice restaurant for lunch or dinner so you didn’t have to travel to the Downtown area

We always stay at a Holiday Inn Express when we travel but this was not the same experience Outside looks like their typical/renovated hotel however, rooms are very dated and small I wouldn’t recommend this location if you enjoy other Holiday Inn Express locations, you will be disappointed

Pros:-Not far from tourist attractions-No daily parking fee (others in the area charge)-Parking lot/facility was gated and well lit-Morning front desk staff were pleasant and helpfulCons:-Typical breakfast was missing ‘normal’ options daily (We were there for 6 days/5 nights) Also, breakfast staff was overheard talking about guests to other guests (not positively)-No hot water one morning but was corrected in the afternoon Also, shower made a very loud sound while water was running-Rooms are very outdated and small comparatively-Possibly not the greatest area but I’m not from around there I only say that because the front door is a key card swipe to open 24/7 and there is a security guard overnight

Johnny M.

This location is situated perfectly for enjoying the area It’s a safe and clean place to stay The Ritz Carlton it is not

There was a disconnect somewhere on there part concerning my reservation but fortunately it was resolved later that evening It has its own parking lot but if you happen to go when the hotel is at capacity, finding a spot might be a chore Parking spaces are tight It’s very dated and some of the furniture and drapes in my room looked tired It definitely needs some attention to detail Breakfast was OK and served its purpose Walmart is just down the street I would stay here again but it would not be my first choice

Renée

Pros and cons—Cons: To Google maps and IHG Google stated this was 8 minutes from my destination NOT!And from the employee standpoint

ahem IHG please get them renovated!!Pros: Staff, hkpg and the girl at the front desk who greeted me were wonderful! (give them a raise!)Clean but dated rooms Breakfast was yummy, just like the one at my hotel!👋😄

Overall my stay was enjoyable The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95 Ext

on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free That was a plus! Although I didn’t get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One The staff were all very friendly My room was clean as well I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area

Kala Twigg

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could But this hotel is disgusting Not clean

Whole first tower smells like water damage My lungs & throat have been killing me Was contemplating staying extra days Definitely not now Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals Children were complaining of that And water damage The elevators smell like urination And there is dust & dirt in every crevice Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for I will be beyond grateful to be HOME (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past The carpets reek of water/mildew Convenient to the highway But … save your money people Drive elsewhere

Dan Royea

I really enjoyed my stay here Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator

I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out) And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned Nice indoor pool Also has a nice restaurant/bar Outside was just as clean as the inside was It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport I highly recommend staying here if your in the area

I wish I could give it a lower rating This is by far the worst experience that I have ever had in all my years at staying at a hotel I went to check in at 9:30pm on 4/15 with my 83 year old mother

We were exhausted from traveling all day When we got into the lobby, there was a crowd of people standing there and no one behind the desk I asked someone what was happening and they basically said there were no rooms available When the front desk clerk came back she informed that they were short staffed and no one was able to clean the rooms The rooms would not be available until tomorrow It was not the young ladies fault and I felt bad for her because she was by herself and doing the best she could, but they should have reached out before hand so maybe people could have made alternative plans It was basically like good luck So 10pm at night, we had to find another hotel Thankfully we found one close by While standing there, I am glad we did not stay there People were coming down looking for clean towels and blankets and there were none! Then I finally had time to call the hotel back today to make a formal complaint because I never received a call and the manager, Tammy was extremely passive and could care less when telling her the situation that happened She insisted I booked through Expedia which I am telling her I booked through American Express travel and that is all she could keep informing me And I feel like whomever I booked through, the hotel made a mistake and should honor their customers that were extremely mistreated She could care less This is the worst experience that I have ever had and the customer service of this hotel was beyond horrible PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE

Joetta Ervins

I really like staying here The accommodations are great This is my second time staying there and when we plan another vacation, that’s where we will stay

The staff members are always very professional and welcoming They have a great breakfast to help start your day I would recommend the Staybridge Suites any time you are in the area

Amelia Combs

The hotel lobby and rooms were nice and clearly newer Rooms were relatively clean, but there was hair on floor of bathrooms and brownish stuff on the bathroom wall Water pressure was pretty bad, but plenty of hot water

Also, the apartment was not appointed for a large family (7) staying, including not enough towels, silverware, bedding (for pullout), etc We were surprised that the pullout didn’t have bedding and had scrounge for some late at bedtime from housekeeping You’d think if you advertise that up to 8 can stay in a suite, you’d have enough settings and bedding for all of themThe pool access key reader didn’t work and you had to go find someone at the front desk to let you in Also, towels not available at pool They also said pool and spa, though it was just a pool Not sure what they considered the “spa” portionContinental breakfast was well below average We got there about 8:30a and it was slim pickings When we asked if they would be restocking empty items, they said no They didn’t even respond to another guest’s request for more coffee I could see if it were close to ending time, but that wasn’t the case either morning for usAlso, there were piles of trash outside most rooms in the hallways that were left uncollected most days Pretty grossBut our biggest complaints were that the hotel reeked of marijuana smoke, so much so that we could smell it strongly in our room Not a pleasant way to sleep at allAlso, one night we were there and a tornado warning was announced We exited our 4th floor room and asked at the front desk where the tornado shelter was She said she didn’t know and just kind of shrugged We ended up sheltering in the first floor laundry room until the warning passed No communication from staff at allIce machine on 3rd floor was broken First floor was fine, but it’s crazy they don’t have one on every floorOur last night there (of 3 total) the fire alarm went off three (3!!!) times total-10p, 1a, and 10a The first time we were running our 5 kids through a shower and had to evacuate the building The smell of marijuana smoke was so strong in the hall, that was no doubt what set it off The 1am we were all fast asleep and the blaring alarms sounded nearly 20 minutes, even after we finally went to the front desk and were told some kid had set the alarm off 10am alarm awoke us with a start after a nightmare of trying to get 5 kids settled after a stressful night We packed up our stuff and leftThe beds were comfortable enough and the location was convenient for restaurants and the Largo station on the blue line That’s about it In sum, I don’t think I’d recommend staying here given all the negatives While the staff wasn’t rude, they are either untrained or just so severely understaffed that they cannot properly manage the hotel

The good:-Great big kitchen with two ovens, three refrigerators, two dishwashers, and everything you need to cook-rooms have private toilets/showers (huge plus Never seen it in a hostel before)-good location close to metro, some cafes, and grocery

-a bit cluttered at the entrance, but overall very clean and comfortable-a shared laundry room-tv with netflix, hulu, apple tvThe bad:-not much really Could feel some tension among staff, but that’s pretty normal when you work with othersIt’s an okay place for an okay price I’d consider coming back

I do not really understand why only three reviews were here so far This is just an amazing place Very close from downtown and convenient transportation, at the same time very quiet outside unlike the hotels in the downtown since it is just at the midst of normal residence

Very close to a nice market closing at 12 am We can use the refrigerator and cook, the dish washer Very clean and everything is kept perfectly The quiet rule is very nice at night The free breakfast is not just a toast but includes some bakeries made by the bussiness owner who might be in the age of moms of teenagers Pretty friendly environment and privacy is respected If I have chance to visit DC again, I will definitely come here again With half price of hostels in downtown, I can enjoy much more things than there

Beauti Dreamer

a really great place to stay while in dc, everything is minutes away from downtown the place is always spic and span I really felt comfortable in this place, they give complimentary breakfast every morning and the linens are always clean, you meet great people here and the rooms are a great size comes with your own bathroom, and coded doors

so my things are secure with or without the coded door this place is so quiet that it feels like my home away from home, great customer service whenever i come to dc i will always come here

If you’re looking for luxury, this place is NOT it I reserved a suite for 12 nights and had to check out after the second day The rooms are dark and dismal

Small windows facing a brick wall, letting in very little sunlight I feel like I’m in someone’s basement The rooms are drab and the decor is old and outdated My blinds were half broken and the dishwasher is literally one push away from completely falling apart Nothing here is modern The only luxurious thing about this suite is that it has hot water and A/C Oh yeah and it’s within walking distance of a lot of places

Ras Pamoja Tutashinda El

What a disaster Luxury includes 20 min wait for towels and linen only to find out and not being told that there is no hot water in the entire building A promise that hot water might be Available at checkout

an unannounced 150 hold on your credit card NEVER AGAIN AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE 4pm checkin and an 11am checkout The only thing they would offer is sorry No stars if that was an option We traveled to DC in 97 degree weather did some sight seeing only to return back to the luxury suites with no water? Sad thing is they were still checking people in knowing there is no hot water

Momina Shafiq

Pros: Thre location is pretty central DC, its qalkimg distance to alot of places, the bus stand is at a 3ins walk as well Love that a CVS is literally right at the back of the buildingComing to the suites, the size is amazing, 1 bedroom, a good size tv lounge attached kicthen which have all the basic suppliesCons: i wish they had a washing machine in the suite as well or in the building

However ghe closest laundrette is 12 mins walking distanceIts super loud early in the morning from traffic noise to people talking loudly on the road, you can hear everything in this apartment, this used ro disrupt my sleep

I can’t describe enough how grateful I am for the attentive and kind staff and excellent rooms I stayed here for several months and never had issues Anything I needed help on the staff promptly took care of

The food was good and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable I so enjoyed staying here and had such an excellent experience The front desk workers even knew my name after a while and were such a pleasure to interact with The housekeeping staff was equally pleasant and did a great job This is the perfect place to stay both short and long term 11/10 🙂

I absolutely loved it here!!!! I had surgery and had to stay a week! This place is so comfortable and the kitchen area is beautiful, clean fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware just need food and drinks

near a ton of places to eat! Giant grocery store right behind here! The bed was so comfystaff was amazing! I could go on and onI’d most certainly would stay here time and time again!! Free delicious breakfast buffet too!!

Beth Bailey

We had a 2 bedroom suite (King + 2 Queens) It was convenient to DC The service (of the front desk staff and those in breakfast/evening social) was quality

Pros: plenty of room for my 5 kids, full fridge & counter in room, some basic cooking things, shower for parents & tub shower for kids, doors to bedrooms, clean upon arrival, front desk staff was nice, mini waffles at breakfastCons: furniture & things had wear (rip in couch arm, non-functional can opener), tiny cooktop, didn’t know we had to request housekeeping to get fresh towels and empty trashService only down a star because they didn’t tell us housekeeping required a request (This is a new, common thing, but we haven’t traveled much since covid and didn’t know)

This place is tucked away in a great location The staff were very friendly and accommodating I can’t express how much nice of a place this hotel is

BUT, we either had bad luck or they were that badWe were given our room and we drive to our area and it was poorly lit We get to our room and it’s very hot The AC unit was broken and obviously needed maintenance as the cover wasn’t on I called down and we were quickly updated to a nicer room While we were happy about the accommodation, there was really no benefit to us because we just needed a nice room and bed So getting a kitchen was a nice upgrade, however, we didn’t expect the refrigerator to make a loud screeching sound like a mouse was dying every TWO HOURS On the day of checkout, I showed the video to the people at the desk to which they were going to have someone remove the fridge They gave us a free night but it should’ve been freeFlute, maybe I’d try them again but if it’s another bad experience, I’d definitely go next door to the HiltonAnd I still have the video

Sean Wolfe

I was hopeful for this location, but the rooms are old and need maintenance When I got to my room, it was 94 degrees inside with the a/c blasting hot air Went back to the reception desk, they in turn sent maintenance with a receptionist and returned to say the problem has been fixed

I go to room, still 94 degrees in there and the air blowing out of the vents is cool It took hours to cool off like 8 of them No other rooms available either Then it’s either a sauna or an ice box as the thermostat doesn’t regulate the temp, it’s either on or off Then the broken dressers (handles, rails, stains) TV with satellite seriously, who watches satellite or cable anymore? The furniture was so old and worn in you feel every boars and nail there is The bed was worn out to with a valley in it you just can’t avoid never again at this location To be fair, the staff is good and nice, but can only do so much

Jessica Gadson

Not just great customer service but Exceptional Customer Service!!!! Wendy Williams was absolutely amazing like a breath of fresh air after our flight from Atlanta The room was very clean and tidy I was nauseated and Wendy went out of her way to leave me some ginger ale on my door

I wasn’t aware of the extra fee on my card but a simple visit to the front desk cleared that up Great customer service will clear up any negative reviews as we all know people write more negative reviews than positive I don’t go out of my way to write reviews however Wendy’s service speaks volumes! Thank you for exceptional customer service!

Nice and clean rooms with room service on both days of our stay, which was pleasantly surprising You don’t get that unless you ask these days Friendly staff that tended to all our requests

Were upgraded to a suite for one of the rooms on our reservation Kitchen was super helpful as we are traveling with a 10 month old infant I ordered multiple food and grocery deliveries to be left at the reception and never had an issue Good job hotel management! You’re doing a much better job than some others in the same class out there

Carrie K

Honestly, I’d I could give more than 5 stars I would Everyone was incredibly kind and made us feel like we were coming home The breakfast was nice, but again the wonderful staff helped put it over the top! The valet was helpful and convenient

They let us pack our car and keep it garaged after our checkout so we could finish out our day again The rooms were cozy and large I felt like I got much more than what we paid for Our family will definitely be staying here again!

Kristina. Lumapas

Overall everything was great from check-in to checkout Room was clean, bathroom felt luxurious and kitchen was fully equipped The only downside was the bed size

We booked a room with king bed and what we got was a queen We reported this to front desk and they insisted that it was their king size bed I couldn’t be wrong with the size since we have a regular king bed at home, not even a California king bed, and theirs was just too small, I’m very sure it was a queen If you’ll get assigned to room 1010, don’t expect a king bed, it’s just too small My husband slept on the couch since me, our preschooler and him couldn’t fit

My Insurance company made housing arrangements while work was being performed on my home We stayed here for a month and a half The staff was outstanding from the front desk to housekeeping

It was me, my son and my daughter The room had a fold out bed which my son could use and my daughter took the other room I had the master bedroom with the attached bathroom The kids used the other bathroom with a tub A little wear and tear on the unit but overall it was clean We used the gym, pool, and basketball court I would have given 5 stars but took away a star due to the cabinet door coming off in the kitchen area

Jack Ryan

The room was well laid out and spacious I was left alone, and they had an ok breakfast They get a lower rating because they don’t deal with disruptive guests after a complaint is made

I had to deal with the room above me banging around for several hours because they were, “working out”, while I was trying to type up a report Next time tell them that you have a workout room

Very disappointing Despite being gold elite, we didn’t receive our upgrade We had only three towels despite reserving the room for 4 people

The bathroom door won’t lock, won’t even latch closed The room was not feather free like we requested because of an allergy, so at 9:30 at night I called and asked for feather free pillows and we were told we had to go to the front desk to get pillows However, most of the time there’s an away sign at the front desk The subway station is not a short walk like they advertise After being Marriott members for over a decade this was definitely one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had

The room was perfectly clean and had everything we needed The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful when we arrived We were given clear instructions about self parking, which was helpful

The breakfast was better than expected, and had gluten-free options to accommodate my food allergy At check-out, the doormen were kind enough to stack our belongings on a rolling cart and bring it out to my car without us having to ask They really went above and beyond to make us comfortable

Great hotel We stayed in a suite which was great value! The room was clean, love the small kitchen which was useful! The location of the hotel was great – really close to the metro station and the staff were super friendly The downsides of the the pressure of the tap sink wasn’t strong, there wasn’t a kettle or teabags and no bathroom robe was provided

Otherwise would recommend

I’m just wrapping up my weekend in DC and had to leave a review for this Residence Inn! This operation is a well oiled machine, everyone has a job and executes that function perfectly and then goes above and beyond to make an experience for the guest The breakfast ladies have all been spectacular, Elaine especially She is a picture of true hospitality

Each person I run into has a smile and warm greeting and you really feel at home here This is not easy to do in a city like this and I would 100% recommend staying here to anyone for business or pleasure! Also want to add, the hotel is in a great location within walking distance to many restaurants and the National theater It is also on major bus lines if wanting to go that route to get to the museums!

We stayed for 6 days at this hotel May 18/23 and we loved everything from our stay! The hotel was safe, clean and had great breakfast variety! Yes, they have paper plates but unless you want to help wash a dish due to staffing shortagestop complaining! The breakfast and front desk staff were wonderful and very polite

Rooms where clean and we will definitely stay there again plusmetro is right across the street, tons of food and fun places around Didn’t use the pool, so can’t review that

Came into town for a last minute passport need This hotel is not only conveniently located and reasonably priced, it is top notch clean and accommodating Staff is 5 star terrific all hours of the day

Bar in the lobby, lounge on the second floor, pool, nice suites with pull it beds big enough for 2 kids I could go on and on A fantastic stay, which certainly helped with the woes of having to deal with the passport agency( they were super nice too, just a long line) loved it, I’ll be back every time I am in DC

Before I say anything negative about our stay I absolutely have to start by saying the staff is beyond compare From the desk attendants to the valet staff everyone was so wonderfully helpful and super friendly Their claim to any good ratings has to start with these employees & I hope management pays them accordingly

But we need to talk about the beds I’m sure bed firmness preference is one of those things where you can never please everyone but I can’t believe these beds are pleasing even the majority This firmness of these things are one step up from sleeping on the floor & the linens are papery We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but after speaking with some other guests in the hotel & their confirmation about the mattress situation we checked out early since it appeared all the mattresses were going to be like this My back is killing me and I won’t be able to make it 2 more nights Upgrade everything about the bedding and this place would be a great find

This is probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in DC The staff are super nice and welcoming, always making sure your visit and stay is enjoyable and going out of their way to make you feel welcomed All the ladies working here are angels

I was scheduled to arrive late at night, and Jessica waited for me and checked me in when I arrived at night The hostel is in a very nice neighborhood (Capitol Hill) Although it’s not close to the tourist sites, the Metro is 2 blocks away, you’re right by a grocery store (Trader Joes), and surrounded by great bars and restaurants The wifi worked on all the floors (no spotty signal, it was strong on all 3 floors!) and rooms were super cool (a respite from the scorching DC heat) The rooftop patio was nice, and the outdoor patio Delicious chocolate chip pancakes were served every morning, with coffee TV had majority of the streaming services on it to keep you occupied, lounge on the 3rd floor had books and 2 computers The only complaint I have is that the bathrooms are kinda in a very awkward spot (located smack dab in the living room) Anyone can see and hear you walk to and from the bathroom (and what you do inside), and when you walk out, the whole living room can see The men’s showers are also next to the living room/kitchen, and anyone walking by the kitchen can see everything going on in the showers, making it slightly uncomfortable Rooms were a bit cramped and small But overall, the hostel was very clean and modern

Honest review If you value security find another hostelThere was definitely some positives The staff were amazing, and the beds were fairly comfy

That’s about where the positives ended unfortunatly for meI was unable to feel secure inside the hostel The outer front doors stay unlocked the whole time, and the front doors, while locked have a hole in the middle for sliding documents through, that could fit a small arm and someone could easily just open the door from inside The rooms themselves have zero locks on them (completely unacceptable in my opinion) They do have lockers, but they are all on the second floor (dorms on all 3 floor) and definitely not big enough to fit a larger backpack, and not enough for every guest, so there is a chance you won’t get a locker and have to leave your stuff in an unlocked roomThe rooms were too small, with barely any room between the beds You will feel like a sardine can in the rooms, and I have zero idea how it passed fire code inspectionThe men’s shower area has no lock on the door and it’s just off of the kitchen I’d hate someone to be eating and get an eyeful they don’t want to see while eating When I was there only one overhead light in the bathroom was working, the other was flickering, generally meaning electrical problems, and apparently it had been like this for a few days There is rust all around the base of the bathroom light fixtures, meaning they aren’t meant to be used in a moisture rich environmentAll in all, would NEVER stay here again, or reccomend to anyone unless you are in a real pinch Even then sleep with all your important stuff basically attached to you so you can feel secureUnacceptable for the price I paid for the hostel I did not feel safe or overly comfortableBut as I said, with all that, the staff truly are wonderful! They are super helpful and accommodating and great fun to hang around

Worst hostel I’ve stayed in so far Whole place smells like sweat because of the “no shoes” rule which is clearly only there so they can save money on cleaning Rooms are clean and the beds are fine, but our room had a neon red bright exit sign that couldn’t be turned off and lit up the room at night

Also, one bathroom for the whole floor, really? Would’ve rather spent a little extra and got a hotel roomThe hostel doesn’t exactly encourage socializing either All the people we met were great, but the only nice common area (rooftop) closes way too early and the rest of the common areas are sweltering hot due to the lack of AC Also, no drinking after 10pm apparently Can’t even enjoy a beer in the heatThe only positive is the location, which really is good Walking distance to most of the good places in DC and right next to a grocery store Honestly the location is the only reaons this review has two stars and not oneOverall, I expected more from a hostel in the nation’s capital

Aidan Garrity

The location and staff are excellent The included breakfast is nice, even if it’s just pancakes Rooftop patio area great for relaxing and chatting

The hostel has a good social atmosphere Parking is a bit pricey since it’s downtown, but most people visiting this hostel are from overseas so it doesn’t matter as much Would stay here again when visiting DC

Nicholas Daniel

Great stay for my first time at a hostel The staff are very friendly and helpful, and willing to give recommendations for food in the area The free pancakes every morning were great

All the facilities were kept clean The hostel is well located near many attractions The only real complaint was that the wifi was slow but with 20+ people there that is to be expected

We stayed at TownePlace Suites for more than 15 weeks I would like to say that this was thus far the best hotel stay experience we have had The hotel is clean, has great amenities, and has free continental breakfast

But, the staff at this hotel makes the stay more enjoyable Mr Tilahun, the general manager, was very courteous, helpful, professional, and attentive to his guests need He made sure we enjoyed our stay One of the engineers, Andrew, was exceptionally welcoming and always said: “If you need anything, we are here for you” which meant a lot to us The housekeepers did a fantastic job keeping our room and hotel neat All of the staff we encountered displayed warm and welcoming smiles every time The front desk staff was professional and helpful Ms Sherry especially treated us like family We miss her warm and caring personality This hotel is under great leadership We have enjoyed our stay We highly recommend TownePlace Suites!

This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in this price range in the area I stayed at some of the cheaper locations and I would really suggest paying a few dollars more to stay here The staff were amazing and friendly

The room was clean and nice It also has a kitchen in it if you want to save a little money from eating out This is so close to the Greenbelt Metro station, it’s really convenient It has free onsite parking I would definitely recommend this place!

Hotel was nice and very convenient for my business trip but the management is a joke for sure I checked in Friday and per the manager the front desk did not turn in my room to get cleaned so i was initially checked into a dirty room Was told that they were booked and she’d she what she could do and thankfully found me another room but the new room smelt like cigarettes/weed and covered with perfume

But i took the room with fear of not being able to be accomadate and had to get up early for training the next morning So I was told to call management Monday (today), so i did and asked for either comp’d stay or half off and told me no because i didn’t check out after staying one night I had my training all weekend (every where else was full due to this) so i had no options but to stay He refused to help me Their mess up because my inconvenience at a price which is very unprofessional

A good place to stay at for a while The rooms are perfect; everything from a pull out couch to a stove, very high speed internet, great views, and more The employees were very nice also

There is free breakfast, but there are not a ton of options It was good though The location in Washington I personally wasn’t a fan of A pro could be that it was very close to the subway, but a con would be that just walking to blocks the wrong way and you can be in a shady area Overall, this Residence Inn was a great experience

It was an awesome time that we had at the Homewood Suites as we celebrated a family gathering and the atmosphere was conducive for this event The front desk staff was attentive and even funny as they made it a greater experience The quality of the upkeep was well worth the time of enjoying this space

So if you are in the DC area and you don’t mind maneuvering all of the 95s in the vicinity then give this location of Homewood Suites a stay!

I called the front desk early, themorning after my stay, to extend myroom for one more night and the front desk confirmed When I returned to my room that evening and used my key to enter my room, all my belongings were gone Front desk said they had given my room to another guest

The manager would not respond byphone or text to the front desk person in charge at that time After competing in a sporting event any being too tired to drive home, I was lefttrying to find another hotel for the night

Mr.&Mrs. Keesee

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in When I checked in the room was not ready and it took 2 additional hours to get into the room while awaiting it to be cleaned 3 hours after my check in When we finally got into the room there were no wash clothes and was told there were none available

There was dried pee on the toilet seat The staff were rude and unprofessional The mattress cover was being used as the comforter I’m assuming because they didn’t have those either There were no options for people who do not eat pork for breakfast They ran out of syrup for the waffles 2 hours before breakfast was finished
