ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!We stay at many hotels and this by far one of our favorite places! They provide all daily living needs for you to stay comfortably They provide free shuttles, towels, balcony, and pull out sofa beds in all suites! Our children loved the pool and appreciated all the toys to keep them busy as we grabbed a drink from the bar Sunsets are the best at that this beach location

Our stay at The Beach House Suites couldn’t have been more enjoyable We walked in off the street and Amy the manager booked us in a 1 bedroom/2 bath suite overlooking the pool with ocean views The room was huge, in great condition, and spotless

(I can’t imagine how long it must take to clean these rooms, they’re like an apartment) The room had a modern look and feel with an emphasis on comfort The balcony was huge and the views just don’t get any betterAll the staff were super friendly and helpful When we mentioned we have allergies, right away they sent up big fluffy cotton pillows to replace the down onesAt the beach they give you three loungers and an umbrella to enjoy which work great, but on our last day we treated ourselves to the the Deluxe Cabana Day Bed and the experience was amazing!! Fabian was super friendly and helpful He checked on us regularly to make sure everything was perfect and if the sun moved or if we got too hot he was right there to fix our shading Porsche brought us tropical beverages from the pool bar and made sure we were well hydrated She even brought our credit card up to the room when we forgot it at the bar… oops, it’s possible we may have been a little too hydratedWe worked remotely and after checkout we had a few hours to burn before our flight took off so they let us use their conference room to get some work done It was set to a perfect 70 degrees and it even had a window view which beats any office I’ve ever worked from beforeSide note: This was actually our second stay in a month When we got home from our first trip we missed it so much we booked another flight two weeks later and returned Since finding our little slice of paradise at The Beach House Suites we’ll definitely be returning again, and hopefully again and again…

The staff is super friendly & puts their guests first, making sure they are comfortable in a clean, maintained environment & have everything they need Not only are the rooms beautiful & well maintained, but also the property itself The pools, the bar area (including the bathroom), and even the lounging areas are always very well kept up with

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, family friendly, relaxing stay at the beach!

Mark Torchia

Nice clean rooms Stoves need updating as I tried using the oven and it never shut off which burned the food But, service and staff were excellent

Please try to add more umbrellas to the pool area as it would be nice to have more shaded areas around the pool at the hottest point of the day Other than these 2 minor points I loved everything else about it

Stayed for a week Spacious and Clean rooms Stayed here over 30 years ago, it was like coming home

The other guests were friendly and fun to talk with around the pool It was a family atmosphere Several said they come back year after year Prices are reasonable Right on the beach, watched beautiful sunsets from the deck Love the nastolgic/vintage Florida motel feel and look My 82 year old mom amd my 12 year old daughter both loved it This place is not a secret but I wish it was Will never stay in a high rise hotel again This place is it!!!

I had left a negative review here to receive emergency help when my toilet broke I am a nurse & i was booked here to take care of a disabled boy nearby, a few weeks later my coworker went as i now have long-term school obligations & couldn’t go When the company saw the boys parents book the room they refused the stay because of my review

Fortunately they let my coworker stay there obv they must’ve realized that my review had nothing to do with him or the familyThe negative review was to be utilized as a last resort since I couldn’t reach anyone about my toilet (planned to take it down within 24 hours) The next day i was able to speak to someone & the situation was fixed the same day When i was leaving my stay i tried to small talk with the manager so that i can bring up the review & reassure her i would remove it (i also wanted to mention some hygienic things like black dirt all over the bed that looked like it might’ve came out of the AC) & she didn’t want to give me the time or day to ask a few Qs which was very weird & rude I decided i wasn’t going to rush to take down the review (i would have then & there if we could’ve just talked a bit) After careful consideration i can not remove my negative review because of how rude the manager is I decided to call today this morning 3 weeks aftertrip (just learned now about the hard time they parents had booking) in order to explain that i didn’t mean to leave the review up more than 24 hours I only called out of kindness as it’s not something i need to do for myself since i can not travel for a while She asked me “why didn’t you talk to me” i told her that i did try but you walked away from me then she wanted to hang up I called to give her another opportunity to treat me with respect but she failed again Even if she was a little upset but had some level of empathy about my situation i told her i had a very high fever & was very sick when i needed help with the toilet that was beginning to smell bad maybe we couldn’t came to a mutual understanding If she doesn’t care neither do I was trying to look out for her sake only as i don’t need to reconcile for myself but she couldn’t have any level of concern So

Brad Anderson

Gulf Gate exceeded our expectations From the size of the condo and amenities to the well-maintained pool and hot tub area, Gulf Gate proved to be a fantastic choice for our St Pete Beach vacation

You are only a short walk away from the white sand beaches and there are folding chairs available for use and a nice rinse station so the sand stays off the pool deck The owners that are present are kind, helpful, and welcoming You are also in close proximity to an array of shops and restaurants all within walking distance Overall, our stay at Gulf Gate was excellent We would definitely return in the future and recommend it to others

Mackenzie Bonte

I might be a little spoiled from previous beach vacation experiences, but our stay was just okay Brought my 8 month old and they didn’t deliver the pack n play or high chair we rented until the second day we arrived after my mom called them 7 times asking for the items All entries into the hotel and rooms are with actual keys vs key cards or fobs

The pool was very clean, but a bit small Our room was clean but be sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner The door entering into the room was a bit weathered and dead bolt didn’t work No maid service during our stay (which was fine) No alcohol or smoking on the actual beach which was unfortunate (alcohol wise) (I think those are more so beach rules) Overall it was okay but I wouldn’t recommend or stay here again

This place was a little slice of paradise! It was super cute & clean The pool area was amazing with oversized cabanas and it was very enjoyable relaxing in the hammock under the palm trees The beach is only a block away which was great! They provided everything you needed for your beach journey coolers, chairs, floating devices and even a beach wagon to haul all your beach necessities which was very convenient

I would definitely stay at this location again!!!!

Jamice Johnson

Me and my daughters stayed here this past weekend and it was amazing It was my first solo trip with really small kids and I felt so safe We were in walking distance to everything, I really didn’t have to move my car

I even felt comfortable walking at night They have little wagons that you can use for the beach (which is right across the way, literally you could walk there in one minute) , which definitely was a life saver with a 7 month old and 3 year old The bed and pillows were a dream Everything was fully stocked The pool area was nice, we didn’t use it but it looked very appealing There is designated parking spots, so that was a win win as well! I’d recommend this place a thousand times over

Omar Jaber

Great experience at this hotel/villa John was amazing He welcomed us immediately and was super helpful, one of the nicest front dest persons I have ever dealt

As for the room and environment I would give it a 5 star all around The rooms were very nice, clean, and had plenty of space There was also just such an amazing atmosphere at this place Everything was decorated so well and there were plenty of places to just sit and talk Will definitely be staying here again!

We loved this hotel! Great value for the price We spent here 3 days on vacation to celebrate my 60th birthday I loved the room on the main floor with a patio by the pool

Clean and well maintained Full kitchen with everything we needed Good quality linens Steps to the beach and a good grocery store Well equipped for the beach – 2 chairs and an umbrella It was very quiet too

Hans Behnke

Very nicely decorated, clean rooms, up to date They provide beach chairs in your room Our room (Room 312) provided a full kitchen, master bedroom (queen bed) and small single full bathroom

We could hear a little road traffic, but very little after 9pm Elevator is directly across from room, you can hear it beep three times when someone uses it, but didn’t hear it much Two TV’s in room, plenary of channels Nice, but small pool area, less than 12 chairs/recliners There was a grill and some other areas to sit near intercostal waterway Also a few small docks you can fish from Cross the street to gain access to Treasure Island beach, very short walkAll in all, a nice property to stay at

Kelly Marie

Superb is an understatement!!Arriving as a first time guest there, yet no stranger to (the TI) I was overwhelmed with the kindness, competence and friendly warm vibe Lesley and Diane exhibited

We felt like we were homeOur back porch opened to the water and a private gorgeous pool mere feet away 3 private docks for your boat rental or pier fishing The bed was a huge king, plush down comforter and extra linens available in the walk in closetI’ve had the luxury of staying all over the world from hostels to the Ritz- Carlton and this place takes the cake from the young and beautiful funny manager Lesley to the dolphins swimming literally as I sipped my coffee from the backI am planning to return again with my 4 yro Autistic son who loves the room so much he refused to leave and even locked me out to which Diane another bubbly blonde came to my rescue in mere minutesPublix is a quick walk and they even delivered our groceries and beer in 20 minutesI plan to return every year- for life! Superb penthouse suite My husband went mad as a real treat for me Gorgeous room etc

However no coffee machine at our location You had to cross the road about 100 yards to get a free breakfast coffee There are enough rooms at our site to warrant this small service I found this bewildering We did use their happy hour for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the chat and the free wine The white beach beyond this hotel is exquisite Is it Bella Vista Beach ? Unsure Our location was at the Bay and our view was beautiful and quiet FOUR AND A HALF STARS IF POSSIBLE 😂

In response to Crystal Ellis’s visit with family

I am the property manager and we love having families stay with us We go out of our way to make sure everyone is having a great time What you failed to mention, was we as property managers were doing our job and also looking out for the rest of the families that were vacationing Your children were out on the docks swatting the birds with a fishing pole, yelling all day, annoying some guests that wanted to lay out and relax, monopolizing the pool and the seating area where no one else could come down and enjoy the pool On top of that, throwing your cigarette butts all over the property, including the docks, the water, the pool area You never picked up after yourselves and didn’t follow the pool rules, which are clearly visible Yes, there is a limit a bathing load of 12 maximum and yes kids count believe it or not There were times your family had 17 or more in the pool, so yes, we watched you during your stay We apologize if it made you uncomfortable, but, we have a job to do and other guests to take into consideration Your family treated this place like it was your personal back yard It’s not No, we are not a pet friendly property, however we do have owners that will allow a pet As for my 6 lb dog, I’m the property manager and she was approved We were full house that weekend and everyone that stayed that week didn’t want to come out of their unit We are a hidden gem and don’t want others coming in and destroying it We hope you find another place that makes you happy to return to

Madelyn Crawford

This place is paradise! If you want to vacation in treasure island, try to book a room here 1st! If you can book room 107 or 108, DO IT! They are both very clean and cozy They have a real home away from home feel to them From the minute you wake up, until you go to bed, you will meet new people and create new memories! I HIGHLY recommend staying at The Maylyn Resort!

Jen R.

This place is a gem! Not all rooms are super updated, but they are very clean & the pool & property is very well maintained All rooms face the pool and it is very convenient to make drinks or snacks in your room while you enjoy the pool The location is excellent

It is on the channel so the view is beautiful It is in walking distance to the grocery store, liquor store and many bars & restaurantsGetting to the beach is a small hike but really is not too badI also have to mention the AMAZING customer service we’ve experienced from Manager Tammy each time we’ve interacted I truly do not remember feeling so welcome at a “business”

The room and location are awesome Never had a need for Service so can’t say either way Spacious room, nice little vacation kitchen, close to all kinds off things to do

Great place Only complaint, as a “Resort”, maybe put in the curved shower curtain The bathroom was like a spare rooms bathroom with a small shower and straight bar Was very tight Fat people go on vacation too! It’s an older place, but very clean, AC worked great, and the doors going out to the beach were amazingly soundproof For the price, it was a definite value

Greg Olyansky

Nice place with friendly staff Bring things with you to the beach like food, its a long walk and no immediate options available for eats Rooms were cleaned every day

A nice stay for several days Beach is good quality Bring plenty of change and cash for umbrellas/chairs, its not cheap Nice pool and nice hot tub Bar is pretty good too Strong alcoholic beverages

Nathan Milam

We had an issue checking in and thankfully after some back and forth with the front desk, their manager, Donna, was able to resolve everything and make our vacation a success Miss Doris from house keeping was very kind and attentive and we love the hilarious bartender I can not stress enough how grateful we are to Donna for saving our trip

We’ll definitely be back and can happily recommend this resort

I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting st pete Beach We have been coming here for a few years now and it’s literally home away from home Kathy and Jim are both wonderful and very accommodating

The units have everything you need very clean and very spacious We fly because we know Kathy always has everything we could ever need right there in the room The walk from the Beach is literally a 2 to 3 min walk tons of restaurants right where the condo is so need to worry with driving This place is all you need

Jeff Spector

Cute, clean & comfortable We just left and could not have been happier with our stay Kathy was very accommodating, friendly and the Gulfside was perfect

Most people will book a hotel a few blocks away that cost more, isn’t as clean and has hundreds of people running around Gulfside is 1 block to the beach, we had a clean pool with lounge chairs, games, the other guests were great and there are nice cafes/restaurants within a few blocks Don’t hesitate, just go and enjoy, we will be back Kathy was amazing!

Erika Smith

THE BEST VALUE IN STPETE BEACH! I was there for a 14 day stay 2 weeks ago Do not book anywhere else! The property is immaculate, the suites provide EVERYTHING you need and more, from a fully stocked kitchen with a full size refrigerator, washer and dryer FREE TO USE on property, grills, beautiful lighted pool at night, picnic tables with umbrellas for shade, to the linen closet with aloe for to much sun

nothing is forgotten here! The owners are WONDERFUL people, very accommodating and will make you feel right at home! Everything is within walking distance including the beach which is just a 3 minute stroll! Call Gulfside before you book anywhere else you won’t be sorry and you will go back every year! I met Kathy and her brother Jim( forgot to mention Resort is family owned) I consider them friends of mine now Great people, Beautiful place, a memory I’ll never forget!

This place was absolutely amazing! We had a gulf view room, so we had two balconies, one being faced toward the ocean We had a gorgeous view from our balcony and our room was very clean and comfortable There were two bathrooms, so it was perfect for the three people that were staying there

Also, the manage Betty was extremely welcoming and helpful! I would definitely recommend!!

We stayed in unit 303 this past week The unit was nicely decorated and clean The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need to cook and eat a meal

Washer and dryer is a great plus My only complaint would be the sleep sofa is terrible the mattress is very bad shape The view from the balcony was nice If you plan on going to the beach the rental on chairs and umbrella is outrageous like $30 a day The unit does have a few chairs and a small umbrella you can use The pool is nice but is small We enjoyed our stay

After a long year of family funerals, we got together to take a breath of life My family from London and New York, wanted to do something different We looked up and down the beach, and found 2 places, side by side, as we were many

Prices were normal for the area, and fortunately available on our short 6 week notice First off the view is exceptional Just stunning Rooms are clean and functional Beds were comfortable There is access to the beach, and it is conveniently next to the Public Parkin if extra visitors come by Restaurants , Shopping, supermarkets, gas stations, all within walking distance My family said they would definitely return, again and again

Awesome location Walk right on to a great beach Nice heated pool

Rooms are individually owned and vary greatly Make sure you look at pictures of the exact room you are booking so you know what you’re getting Our room had a great setup Had 2 balconies and came with beach toys and chairs (although one chair was broken) Room could have used a little more upkeep and deep cleaning, but we didn’t spend much time in the room We were out enjoying the beach!

The Island Inn is in a great location and the view from our room was spectacular! Staff was friendly However, the room was aged Decor on the walls was fitting and calming

But furniture, floors, baseboards, shower, bathroom area, closet doors all need repair or replacement Pool area clean and great, beach awesome It is sad to pay so much and not have updates and repairs needed To me the room felt like cleaning and upkeep isn’t a priority But I did love the view and pool!!!

Awesome! Stayed in room 415, (the mermaid room) waterfront view of the Gulf It was very clean and nice, (looked newly renovated) had everything we needed We were able to cook on a two burner stove top and it also included a air fryer oven and full fridge

Our room had a king bed and a queen Murphy bed so we were able to sleep 4 With a couch/living space The grounds were really clean, everyone was so friendly, the staff was very accommodating The beachside bar was hopping and they serve snacks (pizza, cheeses sticks, etc) throughout the day Very centrally located, so easy to get to Can’t wait to go back

The facilities are beautiful The staff are wonderful The location is fabulous

One problem, the room was filthy We stayed for 8 nights in a king beachfront suite I reported the conditions (piles of dust above refrigerator, broken vase that cut me in bathroom, floors never swept or vacuumed, and don’t even think of pulling out the sofa bed—you could live a week off the crumbs and food bits in there)The only response I ever got was “We will tell the cleaning crew We will mention it to management” For ~$500 per night including a daily resort fee and an extra $100 per day to have our 15 lb dog with us we expected a clean room, but that was certainly not the caseI even provided pictures (attached to this review) of each concern after my stay only to receive the same response and no make good or attempt to keep me as a returning customer This is Opal service? Stunned actuallyI actually recommend you consider this resort for your stay, especially the king suites with wraparound, oceanfront balconies—which are truly breathtaking Just be sure they tidy up or you’ll be living with dust bunnies and other people’s leftovers

Absolutely wonderful experience and stay From the front desk personnel, to the gentleman greeting and helping us with our luggage, to the restaurant staff, and the janitorial staff…top notch service and quite possibly our favorite place to have ever stayed

Rooms were very clean and the mattress was so incredibly comfortable! If I could give this place an extra star I absolutely would! Also…I want to give Edwin a special thank you and shout out for his personal willingness to help direct us to local attractions, and his courtesy throughout the weekend He loves his job and it sure shows!

We did a girls trip here for a few days and it was incredible Great service, extremely clean, and comfortable The area is walkable with a lot to do so you don’t need a car

The weather was amazing at the end of April Great beach, amazing sun, and they offered a yoga class on the beach which was very fun! Shoutout to Fitz Yoga! Stay here if you want to relax and have a great time in a beautiful place

Really enjoyed my stay Off season and discounted as they are doing some remodeling of the restaurant I wasn’t expecting much What I got was exactly the opposite

The manager put forth every effort to make our stay enjoyable The rooms were clean and spacious in a 118 year old building way I’m not sure what people complaining about room size were expecting It’s in the heart of a very nice shopping and entertainment district with everything I needed in short walking distance Breakfast was delicious with a quiet porch to eat it outside Can’t recommend this place highly enough

Patrick Turnbull

After arriving and going to the room I quickly realized that the hotel is nothing like they list it as I literally could not breathe as the smell of mold was apparent, as a result I cancelled my stay and although management wasn’t pleased they refunded me the entire cost, I appreciated that I think with some remodeling it would be a great place to stay

Sherrie Byrd

Had mahi mahi, Brussels and fried green tomatoes Small portions-$1200 for 3 slices

Mahi was good, rice pilaf was excellent Music was great!! Overpriced for the portion size A little strange to go through the servers station to use the restroom Messy area! The place could use some maintenance/ TLC for sure Not sure how the ADA would feel about the tiny restroom- ladies If you go be prepared to pay , eat a filler before you go

Great location, very nice room, I wanted to just say good things about it This was a 4-day family trip to create good memories and to recharge before starting a new academic year However, we were treated in a disgusting and rude way by the Property Manager, named Valerie

After our first day, Valerie called me because our service dogs were in the balcony unattended, barking and creating discomfort to others customers at the resort I run back to the room to place the dogs in their crate This was an accident, as the door that went to the balcony did not close properly and somehow was open when we were not in the room I asked her to call my fiancee as she had the service dogs After a couple of hours, she called me and asked us to leave the room immediately because they did not allow pets I said we didn’t have pets as we had service dogs She got infuriated and threatened me with calling the police if we did not leave the property I paid more that $1,300 for the stay, we were having a wonderful time in this great property, but this person, Valerie, was trying to sabotage this Clearly she does not qualify for a job like this, as she doesn’t understand that everyone deserves respect If I were the owner, Anita, i would hire someone else for the job, someone that knows customer service, someone that knows how to deal with issues like this Tact is key I called VRBO and we were advised to stay I was told to call VRBO immediately and ask for the legal team in the case the property manager, Valerie, called the police I am thankful for VRBO and their assistance This is great place, but unfortunately our getaway was ruined by Valerie

Fantastic hotel! We stayed 4 nights in September and it could not have been any better All rooms have beautiful views Rooms are clean

Comes with a kitchen that is stocked with basic glasses and a dishwasher (they even provide the dishwasher pod) A washer and dryer (one washer pod was provided) The staff was beyond friendly and made great restaurant and area recommendations The pool and hot tub are small, but very clean It was not busy when we went so it was not an issue at all They did provide a few small beach towels too The location is great — walking distance to many restaurants and shops and quick driving distance to John’s Pass and other nearby attractions We have already talked about making it an annual vacation location

Holly Davis

I LOVED our condo here I would definitely recommend this hotel to others It’s my favorite hotel in TI so far

So why 4 stars? We stayed 5 nights and wanted to add one more night The rate for that night suddenly sky rocketed to nearly 3 times what we paid for the other nights The receptionist was very apologetic, but could not offer any deal or discount or an explanation of the extraordinary rate hike especially when compared to other comparable hotels
