We appreciated that this hotel went the extra mile in helping us secure a room block for our wedding and arrange transportation to take one thing off our list Renee was great to work with and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the big day Loved having a fresh hot breakfast served each morning as well

The only improvement I would suggest would be making it easier for guests in the room block to book their rooms; they have to call the hotel and I heard some guests had to try a couple of times to get it done

Hotel staff was very friendly accommodating Room was very clean and really comfortable Stayed in the jacuzzi room and was in heaven every day here

If I needed anything they could help with, they were prompt and friendly I never felt like a burden Bed was HEAVEN!! The pillows and sheets were sooo comfortable If I could figure out how to snuggle those sheets out of the room I probably would! Lol

Mahdi Hodaei

We travelled for research for two weeks second time Very clean and good services With kind and friendly staffs Walking distance to River falls city, shop and foods

Breakfast is not very fancy but still has good quality and variety Overally it deserve your attention 🙂

DJ OKonek

We stayed in one of the adventure suites and the kids really enjoyed the loft bed and the staff was great Breakfast was equivalent to most of the large chains But the room smelled like a wet dog, there was no sleep timer on the television, the fan in the bathroom did not work, one of the bulbs was burnt out in the bathroom, the mattress was pretty much worn out, the AC unit at the end of the hall on the first floor was making a whining noise the entire night, and the room could use an overall sprucing up

The racking on the wall was interesting but I question its actual usefulness in a hotel room

Gramlins Mommy

Had an extended stay here (almost 2 weeks) with my 2 year old and the stay was good The location is great being as it’s not on a busy road and having a back parking lot was very convenient for my kiddo to safely ride on his toys and we were able to play on back grass area without worrying about cars coming in and out The pillows are awesome! And the beds very comfortable

The ac worked great and cools room down fast, plus it was nice to have a window to open as well for fresh air The room was clean and very well put together The bathtub has great water pressure and I was able to relax comfortable in a bubble bath The breakfast is good Multiple items and options to make your own food Drinks and muffins…ect Nice little area to sit and eat All staff were pleasant I don’t have any complaints about stay

Tricia Osborne

I was surprised to find a VERY clean room, comfy bed, pillows and soft towels The building is outdated but everything is well cared for and breakfast was decent I chose to knock off one star though for customer service because the fella wasn’t very friendly or welcoming

Also, the beds are weirdly tall and I was worried about my young son falling off the bed and hurting himself

Tiffany Fogle

Cheri Phillips (UniqueCherie)

This hotel is conveniently located by Main St, Juniors restaurant and Mariachi Loco restaurant The staff was very nice and helpful The room was very spacious and comfortable but showing some aging – scratched wooden furniture

We were given a handicapped room and it was challenging to take a shower without water going into the bathroom – poor drain design The king bed was very comfortable The included breakfast is very basic and only so-so

Andi E

We stayed at the Radisson for a wedding in River Falls The main reasons for 3 star is the rooms were so dry it makes for uncomfortable sleep in the colder months (we stayed during 3rd winter April) The location of the hotel is great but the parking I very weird and feels limited

The breakfast has good fare and the pool and hot tub are nice Staff are friendly and helpful as well Overall if you are staying for the weekend, you’ll have a good time

Jenn Wahlstrand

We purposely chose this place for the underground parking And also when booking for a king sized bedWhen arriving back to the hotel after attending a show we arrived back to find that there was no parking underground due to multiple people parking poorly and taking 2 spots

When entering the hotel we were told that they knew about the parking situation and that they were trying to figure out who it is I’m confused as to why they would not know this information being that we had to provide our vehicle information We were directed to park in a lot that was once owned by the hotel across the way I am currently in a cast due to surgery so having to park and then having to go additional distance to return to the hotel was disappointing as I am not to be standing for more than 5 minutesAdded to the fact that our booking was for a king bed and when arriving was told we were being given a double queen room because we booked through a 3rd party site that room requests are not honored and that they were full and wouldn’t be giving us the room we were expectingThe internet is a little slow in reference that a download that normally takes seconds at home took about a minute, but if you can’t be patient enough that’s on youI will say the breakfast sausage was delicious and the eggs were fluffy and wonderful with no seasoning The waffle was great but we couldn’t find anything to put on them except for peanut butter, which was odd

Our family of 5 stayed in a suite Right away we were kind of bummed about the size of the room being on the small side We can live with that

30 minutes after checking in we took our kids to the pool There were no towels in the pool room We made the person at the front desk aware of this and he responded “when I get a minute” About 3 hours later we went swimming again and still no towels I realize when staying in a hotel you may hear other people when trying to sleep The walls here are especially thin We heard noise all through the night To top off our stay we decided to take the kids to the pool in the morning before checking out Once again there were no towels available This place is just not worth the money We’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn and AmericINN just down the road and we would recommend either of those places over Country Inn & Suites

The room was a disappointing accommodation for the price pointThis small chain hotel was conveniently located on highway 61 For almost $300

I expected a larger, and at the very least, a cleaner room It was a special outing with a friend and our granddaughter’sThe small suite initially was outrageously over priced I was told this was a larger premium suite It was far from premium If it had felt clean and had enough towels the disappointment would have been lessenedBut in the end to my surprise at checkout Amy the manager was able to get me a discount of almost $40 off which made the experience easier to digest

John Langford

Reasonably priced, friendly staff, cleanliness ok We were in a suite, 2 queen beds, and a front room with a couch that could be pulled out for sleeping It was NOT comfortable for sleeping

Only one of the 2 queen beds available was ok That bed was another story It was very noisy, clanging noise sitting/sleeping on it that was very annoying Not comfortable to sleep on The room should have been King size bed only as the door could not close between the rooms because the bed was in the way Breakfast ok, but not impressed Not sure if we would sleep there again or recommend it

The people are amazing Everyone was so friendly and responsiveI was a little concerned when I got there and they were hiring a housekeeper, but the place was really clean

I would have given it a 5 star, but the bed and pillows weren’t very comfortable so my rest wasn’t the greatest Otherwise for the cost, the experience was great and I would stay there again

Tootie Norris

There was blonde hair on the top sheet so I didn’t use it but somehow I have these swollen red bumps on me that looks like bedbug bites The tub and sink waters didn’t drain too good and as soon as I could fall asleep some kids pulled the fire alarm so we had to evacuate the building Check in was okay and the lady was friendly but that’s about all the good that came from here

Had I not been traveling and restless, I would’ve been elsewhere!!!!

Hands down the worst hotel experience Stayed two nights Our specific room, 223 smelled horrible – damp, musty, sour, mold

We could not figure out what was causing it We left the windows open all day long the next day and although the smell got slightly better, was still very noticeable After dealing with it the first night, we asked if we could switch rooms The smell was causing headaches and triggering allergy symptoms We were told they were sold out and there weren’t any other options The night staff was very apologetic and said they would leave a note for the manager to give us a discount Left the windows open overnight and sucked it up because we had no were else to go Spoke to the manager the next morning and although she thanked us for letting her know about it, did not issue any sort of discount for how disgusting our experience was I also overheard a housekeeper say that room 221 also smelled horrible Crazy they would rent out a room if they knew how badly it smelled The staff was not rude to us but the room was so gross

Stayed at hotel for honeymoon and it was perfect Amazing food delivered to the room from the restaurant, all staff were friendly and accommodating Everything was clean and loved the suite, the tub is large enough even my 6’5” hubby was able to comfortably relax and bathe

The common area was luxurious so it was nice to have a quiet meal in the room one night and play cards with a local friend Definitely want to go back! The rooftop bar was amazing as well!!

Emilie Christensen

I have stayed at Omni Viking Lakes a few times, and there are a some things that keep me coming back The hotel is beautiful! The Nordic Viking theme is just perfect, with subtle and tasteful nods to the Purple&Gold Vikings who’s training facility is just next door This hotel is high end while still being inviting and comfortable

Side note: If you are a MN Vikings fan, you just might end up having a drink and some great conversation with a player or coach ;)The rooms and spaces are exceptionally clean and well appointed The staff- from the front desk to the restaurant, and bar staff- have all been so kind, professional, and welcomingTheir loyalty program is so thoughtful! Sometimes a glass of champagne at check in, complimentary wine/beer at the lounges or restaurants, or complimentary coffee from the in-house Caribou Coffee branded shop are always so appreciated I recently also booked services at the spa and it was truly a luxury experienceSo, with all of the hotels to choose from in the area, I’ll continue to come to Omni

Cassandra Krzebietke

This place is excellent My fiancé and I booked a regular room and were able to upgrade to a suite for half the price We had a huge bathtub and shower room

Very clean room, comfy bedThe food down at the restaurant is good too Only complaint I have is the fries were not all that great But my Korean Fried Chicken sandwich and his steak was so yummy! We had breakfast down at the little coffee shop (wasn’t great for the price…)We also got couples massages at the spa and were treated like royalty when we went in there You can use the spa all day if you book a serviceOverall, it was a nice and enjoyable experience We were sad to leave!

Very impressed with the quality of the rooms and polite staff Loads of amenities From the coffee maker, to the fancy shampoo, the room is built to impress

We were staying for just one night but it was so great that I will definitely be booking here if I ever returnThe rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tons of storage options We’ll lit and good temperature controlsThe bed was very comfortable and the room was so clean It was such a wonderful change of pace compared to the hotels I have stayed in recently My only complaint would be the pillows were too soft All the stuffing moved to the other side of the pillow and I woke up with a sore neck – not the end of the worldMost impressive was the breakfast With the generous hours running from 5am to 9am, and equally as generous options, you will not be disappointedThis is definitely not your typical covid time breakfast Waffles, coffee, juice, Greek yogurt, fluffy scrambled eggs, sausages and sausage gravy, biscuits, cereal and fruit, danishes, toast, bagels The staff were bringing out food even at 8:30Check in and check out were a breeze and the staff were friendly and helpfulIf you’re in the area, check out this gem

Mike A

Great place to stay at a reasonable price Helpful, smiling and just the right amount of friendly, staff The suite was large with two features I have never seen before in a hotel room

A window bench which my wife just loved and a center island with a sink Very handy! Breakfast was pretty typical for this type of hotel The only drawback was the walls are fairly thin It was not a problem as everyone quieted down at night

John Schafer

Spent a night here, and it was a clean, comfortable room Room size is small, but since we were just using it for a single night, that was not a concern for us They had a basic breakfast buffet in the morning (cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, toast, etc

), and they had access to a computer/printer to be able to print out boarding passes for our flight in the morning Very helpful young man at the front desk when we checked in, as well as when we checked out in the morning Will definitely return

We came for our anniversary Told them about our anniversary and asked for a really nice room with king size bed The room we got was pretty bad

While we were there we got to see another room that was empty, that was twice the size and way way nicer and newer and roomier and fresher and cleaner Pretty disappointing So we got there early and spent time and money in the swirl bar and then we ate at their fine dining restaurant on site and also booked a brunch cruise through them When booking, arriving, and during dinner, we told them it was our anniversary Kind of disappointed that they couldn’t comp is a glass of wine or the dessert or no portion of the bottle of champagne that we bought over dinner I will say that the people working there were all very nice and accommodating The food was delicious as well!

Privacy? Not here, sleep? Not unless everyone else is sleeping! Walls are so thin I could hear EVERY word my upstairs neighbors were saying & they were up til 2 am, I felt like I was part of the conversation When we first arrived there was a domestic going on in the room below us, again I could here every F word used (he also was not happy to be here either, I heard him say that!)

When we made a complaint they said they were aware of it but did nothingThe room itself was okay we had a few good hours while the upstairs neighbors were gone The double jacuzzi was great, the fireplace was nice & I really enjoyed the town Maybe don’t stay in room 7? Definitely will come back to the Afton area Just NOT to the Afton Inn

Tracee Schultz

Took my family to Current at the Afton House Inn for Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet Awful! Especially for $35/pp- The “Eggs Benedict” (yes, using quotes because it was definitely NOT Eggs Benedict

) was a piece of toast cut in quarters with super thin Canadian bacon Instead of a poached egg, they had a tiny square of congealed (probably powdered) scrambled egg that was about the size of a cheese cube Really strange! More like Ghetto Benedict!- The buffet was supposed to have salmon They had blue gill instead…how is that on par with salmon?- The pastries and desserts were all yucky low-quality commercially made product…like the kind you get the free breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express I don’t mind commercially made baked goods! Some are exceptional! These were not- Everything on the buffet was always picked over and they took forever to refill the empty pans- Our server was nice enough, but we noted that she never asked how the food was We can see why…she knew better- Did I mention the scrambled eggs on the buffet caught on fire, due to overfilling the sterno cans underneath? Should have been scary, but we all laughed it was just the perfect ending to a bad mealOverall, an extremely lackluster experience and we will not return Dine at your own risk!
