Some of the best service I have ever received Both front desk clerks were extremely courteous and helpful I booked a second night later and they were able to keep me in the same room

Housekeeping made sure to turn the lights on in the pool area when we were using it Just before I departed, I was looking for some fruit for the long ride home to New Jersey (after breakfast hours) The housekeeping person not only helped me get what I wanted but also got me an extra yogurt I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels over the years and I can’t remember when I received such excellent service

K D

The staff was friendly, but very distracted and it was hard to get anyone to come to the desk for assistance Breakfast was great, no complaints thereOur room smelled like cigarette smoke

I had to buy an air freshener at Walgreens, but our clothes smelled so strongly of it that I talked to the front desk They would not move our room because they “can’t guarantee the next room won’t smell bad either”Definitely should spend a few more dollars and stay at one of the better hotels in Jackson if you are able to

My experience with this hotel has gone way down in the recent past I have traveled moderately compared to others with work and personally and feel that I have some experience I absolutely LOVE this hotel and the staff

They have in the past gone above and beyond in customer service But things have changed and I really don’t know why There is no explanation If I book through a second party I have no recourse, no reciept I don’t get my room cleaned I accidentally double booked a room once and the hotel offered a refund but failed to do so My Credit Union offered to do so but when the hotel offered I accepted and waited so I didn’t call my CU backIt is my fault for double booking but if the Manager is going to refund that should be done

Wish I would have taken pictures! When we arrived we were told that they cleaned the carpet There was an industrial type fan drying the carpet Well the toilet wasn’t flushing properly and ran all night on night one

Night 2 had to call for maintenance because the toilet was close to overflowing Come to find out that the toilet had overflowed 4 days before we arrived! So here we were walking on toilet water yuck!!!!! Bathroom needs to be updated Mold and hard water stained facilities / tiles Bathroom Floor was sticky The patio curtains were filthy with what looked like blood possibly Just seams like there is no sense of pride here Asked for a discount on the room, they offered a free stay Tell me why I would even consider coming back What was good was the bar restaurant for evening dinner and a cocktail Somewhat nice balcony ( no screen)

Terrifying! Police were driving in and out of the lot when I arrived The whole property looked like a homeless camp So many broken down cars, some propped on wood blocks without tires! People loitering everywhere

Smoking and asking me for lighters while i was checking in The inside smelled strongly dingy The pool table made noise throughout the whole building The hallways, stairs, carpets, and jacuzzi tub were filthy This place required a $100 CASH deposit, that’s sketchy in itself After I saw saw the room I didn’t stay a single night (had booked and prepaid four nights) Desk clerk said I was refunded but it might take a week to show on my card (it hasn’t been that long yet) Desk clerk also returned my $100 deposit The clerk, other staff member, and alleged owner (talked to him on the phone) all apologized and were courteous and attentive to my complaints This property was NOTHING like advertised

Brooks

The rooms were not kept up well Shower head was covered in rust deposits, brown rusty water came out of the taps (very strong iron taste in the water), the AC vent was broken so we couldn’t aim the air beyond the drapes Accessibility to second floor rooms is a pain and requires you to walk around the back of the building away from lights and view so may be viewed as unsafe

You will have to place a cash security deposit for the room when arriving so have $50 in cash handy and they have to check your room at check out before you get the deposit back so be mindful of giving yourself an extra 15-20 minutes before departing for the checkout process

In all honesty it was the worse time I have ever had We did a weekend get away with my grandkids and it turned into having to stay in the room and not enjoy anything the hotel offered Lack of staff added to the frustration

A group of unsupervised children in the pool area made the pool unsafe for little children or families to enjoy They threw towels in the pool and left the area a mess So again we try to go in the morning and again the large group came down unsupervised again Rough housing near the little kids that are not great swimmers The attended at night was forced to shut the pool down due to all the complaints from other families with small children If there had been supervision maybe it would’ve been better Other than that the kids enjoyed the great breakfast the hotel offered I recommend adding more staff at night for reasons like this though One staff told me they had the same thing happen the weekend before so there is an issue in the activity areas

The rooms are beautiful I stayed here 4 years ago and was so impressed with the staff and atmosphere that it was the only places I wanted to stay when I came back for vacation The food in the restaurant is wonderful and reasonably priced

The staff is very friendly and helpful The rooms are clean with microwaves and fridges The staff takes pride not only in taking care of us but they also take care of the stray cats that they have They have 2 cats that are more or less the mascots of the hotel The fact that they care not only for the people but for the animals as well keeps me coming back every time I visit Way to go Holiday Inn!!

Everyone was so nice and professional! Karen at the front desk upgraded my room for my wedding day we had our ceremony in the lobby which was beautiful our dinner and breakfast was amazing! our room was very clean and comfortable and management was excellent! I will definitely stay here again! Thank you for making our wedding special 💕

Desiree Polley

Stayed here two weeks ago Got there about 10 at night on a Saturday the gentleman working the desk was very polite change our rooms because the first room smelled like smoke Sunday morning the kids ate breakfast and loved the pool we where greeted by the owner she was a very nice lady I can’t remember what her name was

So we Booked three rooms for tonight for my son’s 1st birthday and when we got there the lady at the front desk was very rude And told us there was a 250 dollar deposit plus the 125 per room On the booking it did not say anything about a 250 dollar deposit And we didn’t pay a deposit of 250 dollars when we stayed there 2 weeks ago Amd on top it we where still charged the 125 for the room amd we didn’t even get to stay and now we have to wait tell Monday for the 125 to be back on our card So my son’s first birthday got ruined because we didn’t have enough money to cover a different hotel we came back to this hotel specifically because of the kiddie pool

My brother and I were visiting town for his shooting competition and decided to stay here My brother is a retired army vet in a wheelchair and needed a wheelchair accessible room The room was large and easy for him to move around in, clean, smelled fresh & the bed was super comfortable

All of the staff and the manager Roxanne were the friendliest and coolest people I have ever met and you can really tell they care They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of & felt at home during our stay The hotel lobby was clean and they had fresh baked cookies for the guests too If I lived closer I would be inviting them to the family barbecues because I actually missed them when I left! Felt like we made new friends Thank you for working so hard for your guests, yall make an impact in strangers lives more than you know!

Agree with the other comments that this place needs some upgrade The washroom has a strong musty smell even with the fan running all the time The shower only has hot water so u can’t be in there for long

We checked in really late and left next morning so didn’t bother to complain Hope it’s just that room that has these issues Breakfast was not bad though

Very nice hotel, got a nice room, nice TV, it was clean Only complaint I have was their guest doors closing so loudly, there were a lot of people leaving around 5 am and I had a long drive and couldn’t get back to sleep

only let me get an extra half hour for late checkout so I was unable to get more rest That’s something that’s uncontrollable though Besides that, I’d stay again, was a nice clean hotel

Dean Vieira

Customer service was poor Arrived 30mins early to see if room was available and if not so they can be sure room would be available at 3pm check-in At 3pm room was still not available, told to wait another 30 minutes

In line at 3:30pm while the counter person knew I was in line and what room was mine, gave it to the person in front of me and told me my room was not there and they would have to downgrade meThe person in front of me didn’t prepay for their room and I got bumped for them (guessing so the hotel can get a higher rate) No compensation offered to me despite waiting for an hour and having them give my room to someone else right in front of me I prepaid online direct with their website a few months ahead of time

The owners are fantastic The rooms although very dated, were very clean The owners were so nice that it heavily outweighs the dated rooms

The ac works, the bed linens and towels were spotless and crisp white The bathroom though dated was very clean There’s a mini fridge and a microwave available in the room and they offer you coffee, filters and a coffee pot at check in For the price, cleanliness and kind hearted owners, what more could you ask Ypu really feel like family coming here This is not something to be compared to a large corporation owned fancy hotel, but I would come back in a heart beat Dont expect modern amentities or anything of the such But still worth staying at for sure It’s a quiet area with a few bars and restaurants near by (highly recommend the restaurant “The Deck Down Under”) The perfect place to stay if you’re going to Bundy Hills for some offroading or visiting the local wineries or antique stores

No problems with any part of my stay The room was clean, although the AC was turned off when I got there (not the best thing to walk into when it’s 80+ degrees outside), but everything was clean and in good shape The breakfast in the morning was decent, and it was overall quiet at night

They might need to have repairs done on the parking lot lights behind the building, since none appeared to be working while I stayed, but overall a good experience Definitely close to lots of restaurants and stuff to do in Jackson

Jennifer McNeely

The breakfast at this HIE was the best I’ve had in a long time They had namebrand condiments such as Smuckers Good job

Every morning was amazing Everything was always available and refilled quickly Nice & clean area to serve and eatWe were so disappointed that the pool was closed I missed the note on the website apparently We stayed 3 nights and that is a lot of money for no pool 😔The staff was polite and helpfulWe had a room on the first floor It was quiet & clean You had to ask housekeeping to stop in We didn’t mind that, we actually prefer it that way I just asked the housekeeper for new towels personally or left a note with the front desk It worksThe room had a tiny tiny bit of a musty smell but it wasn’t bad The bathroom was clean and nice One bed was a little uncomfortable on one side A little worn out Overall the room was great We will definitely be staying there for our next Jackson visitif the pool is open!!

Ryan&Kate Wright (Endogaming)

Very poor customer service We had to cancel the room because there pool was down and we were never informed of that When we got there we mentioned how excited the kids were to go in the pool and the employee said oh that should be a good time

We got to the pool and it was dark green no heaters working So we decided to see if we could cancel they allowed us to without a cancellation fee but now 2 weeks later I’m still waiting on my refund and 3 hours later waiting on a simple email stating they are not keeping my deposit for my bank I’ve stayed all over the state and never had this much trouble in my life what a nightmare just a warning to anyone thinking of staying!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in My room wasn’t ready upon arrival No shampoo or conditioner

Pillows flat or lumpy Shower curtain had black mildew dots on it Blow dryer not working had to have girl let me use one in other room When I was leaving I noticed the cleans sheets were nicely folded sitting on the floor next to rooms that would be cleanedhow disgusting When I called the supervisor wouldn’t let me speak to the general manager She insisted that she was in charge Breakfast not impressive at all My advicestay somewhere else

Elaine Larson

1st they charge a $30 fee to check in before 3pm Then had the nerve to “check me into a super dirty room” I had a meeting & needed to shower after a 2 day road trip in car

Was Promised by my return it would be cleaned & stocked as normal When I got back they did make the bed & give me towels that was it I have plenty of room at check in & also my return The night staff were great even had a housekeeper named Selena come clean the room properly In the Am when talking with staff at 1st was told well you shouldn’t have stayed here Like excuse me I couldn’t get my money back from Bookingcom I tried And I dam sure needed a shower & sleep Eventually she gave me $10 back & apologized saying she was going to write the staff up that checked me in I know $50 I wasn’t going to get a 5 star stay but I did expect clean room, not poop on toilet & just dirty Put all that along with the day peoples attitude I’d give them a huge 0 but 1 is all I can do

Shake Britt

I would rate this place ZERO stars!! My family and I had a HORRIBLE stay! Our room looked like an old crime scene There was brown spots all on the wall and curtains The towels were yellow stained

It took 45 mins just for us to have hot water They sat the bedding for each room in the hallway on the dirty floor The front desk clerk was VERY NASTY toward my mother-in-law and even threaten to call the police when we asked for a refund not to mention🗣 BED BUGS!!!! Please DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Got a jetted tub room for a few days, have nothing negative to say other than the tub could’ve been a little cleaner and the bed was sunk in but still very comfortable The property itself was was extremely quiet, although the traffic is quite loud plus the construction going on if you need to sleep during the day I might recommend going elsewhere Would stay again

Stephanie T.

Where to begin? First you should know that you’re paying for literally a bed to sleep on (a really bad bed) and a shower that barely works That’s it Need to laundry? Out of order

Need a drink from the vending machine? Out of order Need to use the stairs to get to your room? Out of order (not sure how that’s possible but okay) AND you have to walk around the entire hotel to use the stairs at the other end Need ice from the ice machine? Out of order Want a fresh breakfast that was “included in your cost for the room”? Hope you like black bacon and dried eggs and juice, that’s all they have In addition, the typical “we put a hold on your payment for $100 for incidentals” will occur which is fine, but they take it one step further of actually fully charging you the additional $100 and then you have to wait one week to get that money

Tera Johnson

The lady that checked us in was super nice but the room was very subpar for the price we paid Everything looked old and worn, Except the fridge and microwave The AC unit wouldn’t stay on and I woke up because it was so hot in the room

I kept having to lower it just to get it to kick on The hair dryer wasn’t working and me and my husband both tried to get the shower to work but we couldn’t and we didn’t want to push or pull too hard to break it Check out was at 11:00 but at 9:00 am while we were getting dressed, housekeeping knocked on the door and wanted us out But I was very confused So I called the front desk and checked and it was definitely 11 so we waited till 11 When we checked out I told the lady, who was pretty snippy with me, at the front desk about the tub, and instead of saying they would check it out or would send housekeeping to check it out She asked if I would walk up with her to prove to me that it worked It did in fact work and I guess we just weren’t pulling hard enough but I told her about the hair dryer and she checked it too but said they would have to get another one because it didn’t work for her either I’ve just never ran across a front desk worker who does that, like she had to prove we were stupid or something I wasn’t being rude about it I’m 32 years old I don’t need to be treated like a child

Had my open house here Although it was a decent experience, I advise anyone to be careful if you are someone that is not an ideal guest I experienced accusations from the owner and the staff, on the hottest day of the summer, turned off the ac so my guests would move out of the lobby (that was specifically reserved for my guests to sit

) As for staying, the rooms are nice just hope for the best

David Gunawan

The rooms carpet was not that good Everything else was good I stay here for about 3 nights

However they lack of breakfast benefit or just give a member a free snack so they will always happy to come back againThey really friendly especially for the marrior member Most of hotel staff was not that friendly now, eventhough you have a high level memberI recomend to have request in advance and remind the staff when check in Sometimes they just forget what did you request before

Timothy Oliver

Clean and convenient place to stay near Jackson, MI I’m here or at the Marriott Townsuites next door everytime I come to Jackson It’s clean, quiet and the rooms are good

No complaintswell maybe a minor one The store lobby wasn’t well stocked around 8PM There were many missing items but in the AM when we were checking out I noticed the shelves had been stocked overnight apparently so my timing was just off when I had a case of the munchies But otherwise a great stay
