visited 3 – 5 June 2022: The room was clean, breakfast was light but adequate staff were pleasant and helpful My wife and I used the gym (elliptical and treadmill)

None of the displays work and one treadmill didn’t work at all The breakfast staff person Saturday was one point however, the staff person on Sunday morning was slow to restock the juice/milk chest so both were warm Plus you had to ask for water because it was not available in the serving area Visited this hotel when it was first built so we know a better job can be done Yet, if our options are limited as was in this case we would stay at a Homewood Suite Hotel

Jonathan Jones

I’ve stayed at several Homewood Suites before, always among the best small-suite hotels Here, the lady at check-in was one of the sweetest people we met while in Chattanooga, genuine & hospitable, she made us truly feel welcome The majority of other staff we encountered, however, barely lifted a finger

One employee at the breakfast area simply watched TV for half an hour Fresh coffee would have been nice What was there was lukewarm When trying to re-enter the next morning, a man at the front desk simply yelled through the glass “Back Up” as I keyed the entry, and then not a word or even eye contact when I walked through the door That was the general vibe for most of the staff except the sweet lady on check-in Plus, these are old rooms w/ a makeover Smaller than other Homewood suites and with popcorn ceilings and bathrooms that would look more like fitting in a Super 8 than in a Hilton brand hotel

Dave Shawver

Homewood Suites near Hamilton Place is a little older but still clean with friendly staff The suites are nice and roomy

The living room area had plenty of room to spread out and work The gym had a malfunctioning treadmill but had another as well as elliptical The gym didn’t have many weights Outdoor pool only Breakfast was Hampton Inn style This was a decent stay

I’ve stayed at the Memphis location when in the area for the 25 years I stayed here on 5/2/22, getting a reservation was once again a ridiculous hassle

Once there we got the room directly across from the staff supply room, in and out slamming the door a lot I had to use the pull out bed, terrible mattress and could feel the bar the whole time I was laying on it I called the front desk to get bedding for the pull out, “yeah come get it” was the reply I go get it from the front desk, when I start making my bed I notice the blanket is really thin I call the front desk again and ask for another blanket, again I get “yeah come get it” I go back to the desk, and then have to follow the employee back to the door across from my room and wait for them to get me another blanket! There was no conditioner in the shower, this isn’t the first stay that something soap wise has been non-existent When I first started coming to Memphis for doctor appointments, staying here was nice and I couldn’t say enough good things I don’t know what happened in the last year and a half but I will not be coming back Service, bed, supplies left much to be desired

Our AC went out and we were looking for an affordable place to take myself, my fiancé, his cousin, and our cat I called ten hotels and each one was full until I called Sonesta They said they had a room available, and when we drove there, Michael was a great help

He checked us in quickly and was very kind to us when he learned about our situation He ensured that we were in a very comfortable, air-conditioned suite The room was extremely comfortable, and at an affordable price, too Will definitely be staying here again!

Mitch Morgan

A few weeks ago, I booked a stay for 19 nights at this location on their corporate website Upon arrival, I was told my reservation did not exist even after showing a confirmation email What made the situation worse was the rudeness I encountered at the front desk

The lady had a horrible attitude, did not care about my situation, and basically told me to kick rocks After reading reviews, I should have avoided this location in the first place I emplore you to do the same as well

The rooms were absolutely divine! The breakfast servers were so kind and at the end of breakfast, the ladies told us to take whatever we wanted because they’d have to throw it away as soon as they closed They had just refilled the bacon and eggs and the biscuits We took the leftovers to the bus stop where there are squatters and homeless people

It would have been such a waste to throw that away

Gregg Steinbrenner

We stayed here last September and had a great experience Everyone fell in love with our service dog Eva We booked a room here again through Expedia selecting the pet friendly option

Upon arrival they gave us a room Upon seeing Eva they kicked us out citing Tennessee law The manager was rude and controlling down to not approving where I was standing in the lobby When I asked when the policy changed I was told they had a management change since the last time I was there Really bad hiring choice Need a do over on that

Overall it’s a good hotel Fairly new and very clean Breakfast is better than average and the parking garage allows very quick access to the rooms, so it’s convenient

Very quick access to the green hills mall and it’s a short drive or Uber to the downtown areaOnly negative for us was, we showed up at 5 PM to check in and were told our room wasn’t ready still This was a bit annoying, but other than that, it was a good stay

Diana M Higgins

We booked this hotel through the sports tournament app We were told that we’d get a room with 2 queens and a pull out We have five people which was noted when we made the reservation

They only have a king and a pullout couch They had no rollaway beds, so the fifth person had to sleep on the floor The couch is extremely uncomfortableThere is no daily housekeeping unless requested so trash just piles up and no one brings towels during the day The front desk clerk with the colored hair is extremely rude I left a voicemail for the manager to call me back and he never did The shower doesn’t work properly and the light in the kitchen is outWorst Marriott ever…

The hotel was clean, room was clean, beds super comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was awesome because they actually have gluten free and dairy free options (oat milk) The location was awesome for us and its within walking distance to the mall, shops and restaurants Parking is extra per day but honestly,, we didn’t mind because it was safe, covered in a parking garage and convient

The area is super pretty and we felt very safe Its not far from Opryland area and other areas of interest We had a great stay and would definitely stay againPS-People complain of the room not being cleaned everyday but it wasn’t an issue for us as we keep things tidy It has become common for most hotels not to clean everyday unless you ask for it We had extra trash but we were just responsible and took it out If you ask for towels they are very accommodating

Very comfortable room The staff is extremely friendly at all levels! John, the bartender is top notch! Kitchen could be appointed a little better (no forks in my case) WiFi is good, TV selection is appropriate and the shower pressure is incredible! Breakfast is good with a wide variety of fare

It looks like they like to change things up a little each morning I’d stay here again

Rick Cole

This was a wonderful place to stay Fabulous breakfasts and we loved the Wednesday night social hour Everyone was so friendly! David and Quincy saw to it that we had everything we needed for delicious meals! The front desk staff could not have been more accommodating and cordial! Thanks Trent and Jacob!! The room was spotless and we had every amenity that we needed

We will definitely stay here again!!

David Gareis

The night time front desk attendant is great!!! He was very welcoming and helpful Room are nice, modern and clean My only complaint is the maid started coming by my room every 30 min starting at 7:30am even though I had requested a 1pm checkout

After a late night of music and fun I didn’t get enough rest as a result of that Even after I told her I had a 1pm checkout she kept coming by and waking me up Over all good experience though!

This place was nicely located on the edge of town near the highway with places to eat and get gas nearby as wellComfortable beds, clean rooms! Great stay!

I was Traveling for businessI booked the night before my stay here with Holiday Inn in Cincinnati, and everything went well The second night of my trip was at this Candlewood in N Nashville

I had booked using my corporate card My travel broker i use has both business and personal cards on file Prior to check in my wife noticed that our personal card had been chargedWe called the hotel, they said it won’t be a problem, we’ll fix it at check inAt check in they charged my business card And claimed they backed out my personal charge 6 days later its still showingIve spoken with the hotel directly a couple of times, and my broker a couple of timesThe complete disregard of customer care and the fact that they’ve double dipped is highly frustratingId suggest you look elsewhere if you’re looking for a place to stay trouble free

Adrian Jones

The location is nice, quiet, and out of the way of traffic We checked in a bit late in the day (9pm) and were treated like it was the biggest hassle that we came They couldn’t find my reservation and quoted higher prices

I showed that I paid online and got checked in It cost just a bit less than a 4 star hotel in downtown SavanahWe got a 2 queen bed suite There were 2 bath towels but nothing else (no towel for the floor, hand towels, nothing) There was trash in the hallway from when we checked in until morning The bathroom looks like for a dorm, all particle board and the tile is all painted overPros: soft sheets, comfy beds, no bed bugsCons: light on towels, not very clean

The Geek Next Door

Avoid if you can This place was probably nice 15 years ago The pool is closed

The hotel has a funny smell The water doesn’t drain from the tub, so enjoy other people’s funk while you try to shower as their funk swims around your feet The staff were great even if none of our complaints were dealt with To top it off, on Sunday, we came down at 9:15am to a fully EMPTY breakfast area The guy responsible for breakfast that day had closed up shop by 9am and didn’t care The wonderful blonde woman that ran the breakfast area normally would never have done thatI couldn’t recommend anyone stay here unless they absolutely need the suite Go somewhere else The hotel staff use the sad little area where they sell you overpriced microwave dinners and drinks as their personal free grocery store They spend more time sitting at the tables on the hotel lobby eating and watching TV than they do taking care of the placeWe had to get out our Meyer’s cleaning and real paper towels to clean the enormous amounts of dust and smell from our roomWe will NEVER come back to this hotel again There are far better places to stay around Jackson than this The elevators are nasty Lights were missing everywhere The whole place was pretty much disgusting AvoidMost of the staff is worthless The only decent ones are the lady that does the breakfast most of the time and the lady that came by to clean our room The maintenance people and the front desk people are worthless Stay somewhere else This feels like a fake Marriott hotel It really sucks Don’t believe the positive reviews They are likely fake or just high when they wrote them

Thomas Bland

I had read from the reviews that it was not the cleanest, and the reviewers we’re correct There were so many hairs on the bathroom floor that I had to borrow bleach from the front desk and cleaning towels to clean it myselfThe kitchen had dirty utensils, the toaster look like it had never been wiped down and some of the pots were clearly greasy

Thanks to corporate deciding what we would like for breakfast It was all prepackaged and microwaveable food They did have fresh watermelon, but no toast or bagels!!! How do you serve rubber eggs and dried out sausage patties without toast???? Just weirdThe woman serving breakfast was amazing She made me a little cup of potatoes with green on peppers She was constantly refilling things and did it with a smile on her faceI will not be visiting a Marriott again It wasnt clean, breakfast was meh, and they charge too much

This was our second time visiting Whitestone We stayed in the hawk’s nest room and the view from the balcony can’t be beat! The location is perfect and it’s a beautiful place to come and relax We had fun using the kayaks and paddle boards, too! Breakfast is amazing (and Lisa is so kind!) and the chef for dinner was very willing to make accommodations for my gluten allergy

My only regret is there weren’t some healthier options for the snacks that are available in the farmhouse during the day (maybe some gluten/dairy free options or fruit?) Our room was nice, but the property could benefit from some general improvements like painting of railings, trail maintenance and cleaning the sidewalks from all the goose droppingsWe so appreciate the ministry Whitestone has to those of us in ministry who need some time to get away and recharge What a blessing!

Benjamin Guider

My father was married here over the past weekend As part of the wedding package he got my family a room The place is nothing less than gorgeous and amazing

My 16 y/o daughter loved it and began immediately imagining her own wedding being hereThe people who operate Whitestone we’re wonderful, warm, friendly, and dedicated to making the experience perfectWe plan to return simply for a weekend getaway

I am giving this hotel only one star due to several reasons First and foremost was the fact that the fire alarm went off and the hotel staff, which appears to have been only one person, did not check that every guest was out of the hotel safely They should have a better system in place for notifying guests so that no one gets left behind if there is a real emergency

We were all lucky that it happened to be a false alarm I’m sure this happens a lot at hotels Someone burning popcorn or smoking in the room Needless to say that this alarm was caused by the people in the room next to mine who were up all night partying and smoking So apparently since no one reported the noise of the party it is the other guests fault that the alarm went off It’s our fault the alarm went off, that does not make sense How are the other guests supposed to know what someone is doing in their room It’s like saying the hotel staff should have known so they shouldn’t be paid because they didn’t do their job I don’t expect the hotel to give anyone anything free But I do expect them to be a little more compassionate to their guests But I am under the impression that this particular hotel or the staff at the time did not care about anything They were just a robot making money When you have a grandchild that is unique it takes a lot of time to get them to sleep Things that are easy for everyone else to deal with, like noises and emotions, if very difficult for my grandchild After all is said and done all I asked for was a little compassion from the hotel and they could not assist So we had to leave at 3:00 am in the morning to find somewhere else to stay This is one hotel I will never visit againOther than this one experience with this hotel, the rooms were clean, the check in staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was a little cloudy Not as clear as it should be The part of the hotel I did see seemed clean

I read some of the previous reviews and I’m glad to say we did not have any issues during our stayJames at the front desk was very courteous and helpful checking us inWe did have to sign a waiver for ‘no parties’ and be responsible for $500 if we broke it which I completely agree with since hopefully it solves a lot of the previous issues

Room was exceptionally clean and stocked of all toiletriesThe bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very soft We slept like babiesBEWARE: It did smell like weed at some occasions It never really bothered us since it was confined to the elevator mostly

Darnell Hamilton

Im beyond upset with the way our family was treated at this hotel I am the chairperson for our family reunion and blocked many rooms here at home2suites We were all excited about staying here because it’s in a great location

The staff here waited until check in time to start calling several family members to inform us about our room We were told that they had construction going on in the hotel and that we had to get a king with a let out couch or cancel free of charge Remember we’re from out of state, many of our family members drove 11 hours just to get there You would think with a large group booking 10 plus room that we would have been better accommodated I explained to the guys at the front desk that we were quoted $129 for a king and $139 for a double They said because of our special rate that we couldn’t get it for $129 and that the rooms are much higher now This large group agreement was done back in March, the reunion was July 8-10 I really wish the hotel would called me before check in time, my family and I would have booked elsewhere The repair had been going on for some time long before that week

I was fortunate to have used my points for this stay It would have normally been $200 per night to stay here We were in town for a wedding

I have to say how disappointing the facility is We stayed in room 150 for 4 days This room needs a total update The couch and chair were so worn out you sink so far down it’s difficult to stand up from them! The room would have been nice if there was very basic maintenance performed The list of things included shoe scuffs on the door leading from the living room to the bedroom The handles on the door were loose and rattled The shower bar moved up and down because it was coming loose The towel bar was just missing Peeling paint on the doors (Yuck) The electric outlet on the counter worked but the face plate was not secured See attached photos showing some of these items Also, when going to breakfast they daily ran out of food by 9:30 on the weekend even though breakfast was until 10:00 We came to have breakfast and they were out of oatmeal, egg omelettes and sausage There was a line of 6 people for waffles, since that was all that was left Then they ran out of waffle mix They finally brought out sausages but no eggs for another 10 minutes Except for the first morning this happened for the next three days! For all the points I used for my stay I could have gotten a better deal at a Hampton Inn I’m just happy I didn’t have to pay $800 + taxes for my four day stay I would have been really upset

Traveled from Fort Worth, TX 10hr drive headed 4 more hrs to Lexington and stopped here in Nashville for some rest Booked a king suite around 10pm (on the road) arrived around 12:30am

Room was big, nice and clean No problem with sofa bed Teenage daughter slept great with her own living room area and TV Breakfast was fantasticdaughter was thrilled they have different fruit topping for waffles as she loves blueberry! Check out was easy and friendly as well Only issue I had was loosing a belt down the elevator shaft door as we were getting out My husband’s fault as he placed it on my bag not in it WONDERFUL STAY! We also got a kick out of the texas shaped waffles in Tennessee but again we’re from Texas 🙂

We booked this two day trip to celebrate our baby girl turning 2 years old My husband, myself and our two young kids loved our room It was beautiful and the view of the smoky mountains were top notch

We had an issue with our original room upon check in and the staff immediately fixed the issue with no problems Everyone we encountered was so kind and courteous The problem that we had was with the water park We has booked this resort for the water park to celebrate my daughters birthday knowing that it was indoors however the water was so stinking cold we could not enjoy We paid about $500 to stay for two nights and had to pay $85 additional for the water park My kids were so excited when they saw the indoor water park but as soon as we got in were immediately taken back about how cold it was My two year old had blue lips and was shivering almost immediately and my 4 year old was not far behind We only spent about an hour there but most was spent in the hot tub Not worth the money or the time I would recommend the resort but if you are going for the indoor water park thinking it will be a warm way for your kids to swim then I would rethink you plans

It starts at check-in You realize they have way too many units for the infrastructure

You can’t find a parking place so you park 200 yards away from Check In You go inside and see a roped off line just to check in it is loud in there You finally get your room key then go see another concierge who gives you your parking pass again but sets up a sales meeting of an hour and a half so you can win a coffee cup! The last thing I wanna do on my vacation is go see a sales presentation for an hour and a half The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable the air conditioner is cold and the water is very hot The patio furniture is very nice and comfortable And the ambience of the deck would be fantastic if only you weren’t listening to interstate traffic all night long which really ruins it The coffee maker cost about nine dollars judging by his performance We also had a faulty dryer that would not spin the clothes dry Overall I would say the accommodations once you get past the crowd are definitely 4 to a 4 1/2 It’s just the crowd you have to put up with here are horrible It probably makes the stay not worth it for us to come back

Roberto Dohnert

So where to start? First of all, love the location Service was OK, I had to call 5 times to get wasp nests killed, my handicapped mother asked for a bottom floor they put us on the third, there were multiple issues with appliances and the rooms which left much to be desired The water park was tons of fun and the Southern Comfort restaurant while a tad pricey in my opinion was definitely worth it and a real treat

The sales people were not too pushy (Good luck with the baby Gracie) Overall the personal human contact was adequate the room condition and the flaws I had there left some to be desired but the vacation was well worth it, I will be coming back and I’m sure you would like it as well

There was a strange smell as soon as you open the door, also the cabinet doors were falling off Hair on the towels in the bathroom Also the top white cover had brown spots on it Our shoes stuck to the kitchenette floor Also it looked like old gum stuck to the bedroom carpet We stayed in the room for 6 hours so my husband could rest and start driving again

Despite calling and verifying in March before booking the hotel, the pool was not open We knew it was going to be hot (it’s Memphis in June!) and had two children with us that we needed to entertain so specifically booked a hotel with a poolWe were not given the room we booked (two queen beds since we had 4 people in our room)

Instead we were given a room with a king bed and told to use the pull out sofa The pull out sofa had a twin size mattress with cigarette holes/burns in it I brought this to the attention of the staff at the desk and he said he couldn’t do anything about the mattress as that was a maintenance issue but he would make a note on it We all 4 slept in the king sized bed that night The next morning I spoke with the manager and she was able to get a twin sized trundle bed so at least we only had to sleep 3 in the king size bed the other 2 nights She blamed corporate for the pool issue While the rooms are non-smoking there is definitely a smoke covered with Febreze smell throughout the hotelThere was a kitchen in the room however you have to request cups, utensils, coffee maker, drying rack, dish soap, etc We requested cups and utensils and were given enough for 2 people despite having 4 people in our roomWe had a big group staying at the hotel (7 rooms in total) 1 left upon seeing their room (dead roach in the fridge), 1 left after 1 night (frustrated with having to ask for things that should have been in the kitchen like a coffee maker and cups), and 1 also didn’t get the room they booked

First location it’s pretty far away from everything that’s going on downtown depending on who you are that could be a good thing or a bad thing Outside of that we stayed in a cabin which was single family it was well appointed to have plenty of dishes and cooking utensils The refrigerator is a bit small but we’ll make do for the time that we are here Check in was a breeze we would definitely stay here again

Queen bed in each room and a fold-out couch were great for our family of five nine out of 10 would recommend!

I’m a little delayed in my review but my husband and I visited Bent Creek at the end of January for a little mini-moon On the trip, I lost my wedding ring at the resort and the customer service we received was beyond amazing, especially Ronnie! They checked in continuously and found many methods to find the ring (which we did) and we cannot thank the staff enough! The resort itself was also a great spot for a getaway!

Marion at the front desk was incredibly nice and helpful The valet staff was swift and courteous The breakfast staff was outstanding

It was apparent that they all take great pride in their jobs Our corner views of downtown and the river at sunset was beautiful on the 12th floor I highly recommend relaxing on the rooftop at the end of the day Room was spacious and clean

We only stayed for one night which was 6/3/22 and checked out on 6/4 The lady running the front desk on 6/3 at night was amazing She got off at 11pm

Disappointed we didn’t get to see her once more before we left She was so kind As for our room we got the suite on floor 5 Room 508 It was GREAT!!Two TVs one for the bed and one for the couch was so perfect for us The kids slept on the pull out bed from the couch and got to watch their TV and we got to sleep in the bed and watch what we wanted YouTube, Netflix, all of that is already on the TV all you have to do is sign in and it resets the next day so nobody will be able to get on your account We didn’t use the stove, microwave, dishwasher etc but we did use the fridge and the ice maker worked well There’s pots, pans, silverware, can opener, dishes and glasses all in the cabinets for you to use The cabinet under the sink in the bathroom is broken Not a big deal since we didn’t use it Shower was nice Everything was clean and freshWe had no problems out of our stay I would highly recommend this place Now if you have problems sleeping, the noise from the street below may bother you unless you have the TV on We could hear the trolley, motorcycles, drunk citizens, bells, the horse carriage, etc all from our room at 5 stories up I’m from small town MS so we just don’t hear that type of stuff on the regular But it was so much fun and we really enjoyed our stay and the wonderful staff! Thank you residence inn!!

Great stay but the 4 extra taxes per day ( no fault of hotel) and no room service, no soaps, no refill coffee per day( offered upon request) made our stay unaffordable We could’ve traveled to Cancun for way cheaper for the week all inclusive including air Once a yr is all we can do

We do appreciate that we can bring our pets( extra fee)

Our family came here for Mother’s Day weekend We had a great time and it was a very unique experience! The price is definitely on the higher end, so I wish breakfast was included and maybe some other amenities But we had fun with what was available

We didn’t leave the resort because downtown Memphis is a very dangerous and high crime area That’s a fact, just drive through and you’ll see But the resort room was so cool, the inside was amazing how you could look down into and up into the pyramid It was the coolest bass pro we’ve ever seen too The bowling alley and restaurants were great too We had an issue with our AC the first night to they upgraded our room and gave us a discount for that night All staff was too notch There are police and security on site at all times for resort safety We would stay again but not for a while due to the cost

It really is a great place to stay The room was very clean and the decor was rustic and charming We had an interior room that had a screened in balcony that allowed you to look down into Bass Pro Shop

You need to have a room key in order to get to the second or third floor which is nice because it keeps the traffic down to a minimum The one thing they could improve on is the bar they have on the 3rd floor They don’t have very many options as it is basically a dry bar All in all it was definitely a great experience and we would totally stay here again

Carrie Dela Cruz

A wonderful experience here, all employees were so welcoming, the definition of southern hospitality The room was amazing felt like being in a cabin Spending much of the evening on the balcony felt like we were outside without having to be outside with the mosquitoes

The Mississippi terrace was beautiful and relaxing to sit at and watch the sun go down The shower was wonderful and the linens were great quality not your standard over washed scratchy stuff you see in hotels Thanks for a great stay I hope to some day be back

This place was just okay Luckily, it was only for a 1-night stay for a concert I drove up to attend The good – Front desk was pleasant and check in was fairly smooth

The price was not bad for a 1 night stayThe bad There were several small bugs (stink bugs, not bed bugs) in my room I killed 1 earlier in the evening upon arrival only to return to my room later that night and have to kill another crawling on the wall I found 2-3 others already dead behind the desk stand area Stink bugs are a nuisance and while other bugs may be worse, no one wants to encounter that, especially more than once during a stayStaff almost entered my room during a time I very well could have been getting dressed Didn’t like that at all I am a single, solo traveler Safety is my utmost concern I am a seasoned solo female traveler and in my 15 yrs of traveling solo, never had this to occur As mentioned, I was only there for a concert and this was a space of downtime between check in & prior to the event starting where I was about to prep for getting ready soon He knocked at the door but rather than speaking through the door, awaiting an appropriate response or simply moving on, he started to finagle with the door less than 5 seconds after knocking, as if he were entering The key or whatever he was using never unlocked the door and I exclaimed someone is in here! It startled me, so once he walked away, I immediately asked if I could change rooms, thinking at that time it was someone else (not staff) trying to get in! She stated they weren’t able to change the room and confirmed it was an employee double checking if the room was occupied Made no sense to me because it seemed they should know which rooms were available Even if the system didn’t reflect it, they should incorporate better methods for finding out, other than almost barging in a room unsure if a guest could be changing That stated, I likely would not stay again

A very nice Marriott property Although the showers are a negative No happy medium between burn, and freeze

Also the front desk person who would not get off of his Bluetooth left a bad taste in my mouth as well These things don’t affect the hotel as a whole so still four stars And I stay at many Marriott hotels as frequent traveler So I’m not just being a jerk for the sake of it A fine place to stay overall

Not a good experience When we arrived they were unable to make our room keys as their system was down This took approximately 6 hours to fix, and the staff had to let us in to several areas of the hotel that we needed to access (room, laundry room, and pool)

The two days we were there we had to get our room keys redone every day as they wouldn’t work It was very frustrating as were consistently getting locked out of the room
