Rooms and staff were good Keep in mind a few things Some rooms don’t have closets

Breakfast is a meat, eggs, and muffins/yogurt/grits Juices were very water downed Missing a few amenities in the room like tissues (had empty boxes in one room but full ones in another) and pillows for pull out couch Staff is very friendly and helpful Location is nice too I would come back here again

Nat C

Does not even deserve a rating Asked for handicapped accessible room, booked weeks ago Was give room I can’t even get into the shower

Front desk was horrible and no help Her excuse was she was out all week and just came back today! What does that have to do with my room being given to someone elsethen was told they had plumbing issues and some rooms not available IIt SMELLS horrible in the halls and the rooms Dirty stained walls and broken furniture OVER PRICES Not worth the money Holiday Inn Express would be better

Cheri Cobb

Nice location and the breakfast was decent (minus the expired milk) Once we entered the room we noticed lots of hair on the bathroom floor as if the bathroom was halfway cleaned or rushed I asked the front desk lady to have it cleaned while we stepped out, but of course, it was not done

As soon as we got off the elevator there was trash piled up in the hallway which had the elevators stink (see pic) The pool also closed very early, very strange very inconvenient There was also a mirror behind the door in the main room Yes a glass mirror right behind the metal door handle I was not a huge fan of this property

Suite had a kitchen, but microwave did not work The one appliance that I would have used I reported it and was directed to a community microwave down the hall

Appreciated CoVid measures in the room Phones and remotes wrapped, antibacterial wipes provided, etc Room was quiet Pillows were great Staff was friendly Easy access to I-295

Kelly Ruston

Very happy with our stay! Kitchenette was lovely, full sized fridge and all the extras including plates etc Nice large desk, comfy reclining chair next to the bed, and the bathroom was clean and spacious The key card reader was a little finicky to get into the room

There were two really lovely gazebos out back, both of which featured a grill along with seating Security patrolled outside overnight, so we felt very safe and weren’t concerned about our vehicle Location was great, easy on/off the highway and a few places to order delivery from

Leah LaBounty

I’ve stayed here for a couple of extended stays Rooms and common areas are always clean Rooms have kitchenettes and full size fridges which is awesome; everything worked well

Free laundry, little gym area, often a selection of food/snacks/beverages/travel size toiletries Staff are all friendly and helpful, and do a good job of keeping everything clean A lot of long term stay guests Couple different outdoor areas with grills, there is a little pond in the back The area is kinda walkable but not a ton of stuff in the immediate area No pool or anything but the beach is close Great location, easy to get all around Jax and surrounding areas, right off 95 and 202 Usually a pretty quiet area as well I don’t really have any complaints!

First and foremost, the staff was wonderful and friendly, check in-out was quick and easy My wife and I stayed on the 4th floor, room was spacious Those are the pros

The cons, i woke up the second night with bug bites on my arm, back and back of the neck It wasn’t from the bed because my wife and 2 year old son didn’t have any bites on them I did note that I took a nap on the couch I searched to see if there we’re bugs on the couch but due to the couch itself being dark and the lighting was poor (only 2 plug in lamps on both corners of the room) we couldn’t detect them The wall thermostat would show 70 but wouldn’t go lower then 74 Hot tub was out of order And when we arrived to our room, there was dirty Lenin’s and garbage bags by our door that didn’t get pick up till the following day This was my first bad experience with Homewood suites Usually really clean and no problems ever happen The staff was super nice and so was the night front desk lady

C. Selz

We arrived early and hung out by the pool while we waited for our room So cozy the poolside vibe was Rita at the front desk was very helpful and kind

Check in was seemless and appreciated The room was as advertised and we had no complaints It was clean and spacious The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! The hotel was a short Uber ride to the event downtown Highly recommend and we will be back

Was provided a room by my property management company The customer service representative at Homewood Suites was less than helpful in the checkin process due to wanting to charge a premium for something that was already paid for When she enlisted the help of her supervisor the supervisor had a snippy attitude after I told her what the problem was

When I asked for her name she refused to give it and wasn’t wearing any identifying badges Her response was, “don’t worry about my name” They refused to speak to the property management company to rectify the situation They not only ended up charging us the premium for the room but also tried to charge an extra $200 Luckily my bank refused it probably to prevent fraud Once I got into the room it smelled like stale smoke Somebody didn’t abide by the no smoking room and they apparently didn’t have it properly cleaned after the last guest as a result I don’t feel like a guest hereOne other thing that happened as I was checking in someone came to the front desk exclaiming that they were robbed at the pool This place apparently doesn’t have any security whatsoever in the heart of Jacksonville I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemyShame on this company’s management I have slept at Homewood suites before and received excellent service Yet this particular operation lacks in all aspects so far I wouldn’t be staying here if I had the choice as it was all set up through my property management company

I liked this hotel a lot I called to see if they would let me check in earlier because I had a conference call and they did The lady at the front desk is very nice

Rooms are clean and quiet Breakfast is not super extensive but great savory options The lady in charge of breakfast was also nice Location is great I will consider it for future trips to the area

Needed a few days away from home due to very bad neighbor behavior! This hotel was 4 miles away & was pet friendly Reserved room on Thursday for 3 nights (Friday – Monday) Check in was perfect Room was spacious & clean except housekeeping forgot to clean out fridge from prior guest

Front desk responded immediately to our call (thank you!) & had no other issues I will say I didn’t understand the shower since it did not have a shower curtain & glass door only covered half of the shower, since it was permanent in place & did not slide Water from shower ran onto the floor soaking the bath towel that was laid down which could be a slip & fall hazardWhile I know people hate smokers, they do exist Maybe a few more outside “ashtrays” would be beneficial to avoid a lot of butts on the ground Just sayingOverall, good stay Thank you

Ashley Romano

I had a Very good experience at this Marriott Location! The room was clean, and the staff was incredible! Especially the front desk associate Lemuel! He was both very Professional and welcoming! Which meant everything after a long day of travel! He really went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable! I highly recommend this location! Thanks Lemuel!

So I called from the road Young Brice Evans answered He gave me the directions, Exit number a great from helped in every way was most accommodating knowing especially that I was retired military and have a severely disabled wife

Hotel itself is clean, easy access for wheel chair room good MISSING elevated toilet insert for handicap He went out of his way to assist in every way If the management were as good as the front desk they would make the toilets higher for severely immobile clients It s obvious that management is to busy on other subjects and corporate gives them little latitude to makes guest more comfortable They leave it to people at the front desk like Brice to lift up the image of the companyperhaps people like him should have more input into guest needs as corporate is wearing blinders The best activity that management does is hire incredible young people like Brice who do all the heavy lifting Thank you Brice your are the best part of Marriot Hotels

Jeffrey Lewitsky

We had a great stay overall The property is conveniently located off I-95 and close to the JAX Airport Many restaurants and shops are nearby

The front desk was very friendly and helpful when we checked in Our only issue was I was staying with my brother who was able to enjoy the breakfast but when be attempted to bring me breakfast to the room he was stopped by either the front desk or breakfast employee and was told that he could not do that which is ridiculous I was not able to get the breakfast myself as I was awake until 430am the night before and this was the reason for him to bring it to the room I have never had such an issue at any other Marriott property

Alonis Novak

Second worse hotel experience I’ve had in 20 years of traveling Shuttle bus took 50 minutes to arrive despite arranging a pick up from before Couldn’t reach the front desk as they wouldn’t pick up the phone

Finally paid for taxi to take me to the hotel around 12am Exhausted I wearily made it to my room discover that the air conditioner was malfunctioning While it wasn’t perfect I was exhausted from my flights and decided to try to sleep After perspiring in bed and unable to sleep for an hour I went to the front desk to request another room I got checked into my new room at 2am It had air-conditioner but the room was dimly lit, had a musty smell and the carpet, towels and sheets felt continually damp The management was incredioulus and seemed uncaring about the conditions The couch had crumbs from the previous occupants and it was clear that the cleaning efforts were minimal When trying to check out the next morning I wasn’t even acknowledged by the front desk staff as they were too busy discussing ridiculous demands by the firemarshalls and playing on their phones This experience has completely tarnished the expectations I had of Marriott maintain a decent standard for their guests On a positive note, the breakfast offerings (served 7 to 9 am) was pretty decent and they even had friendly staff on hand to assist with the food buffet selection

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a room This web site will compare countless hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in this area

I have been staying here for years If you stay for a few nights you definitely won’t regret itVery nice golf course Has two different courses to play The Lagoon and the Ocean Course Both are fun and challenging I would highly recommend to anyone staying at the resort, as well as locals who can get on with a member as it is private

Kay Rodriguez

I have been here before, but I certainly was not aware of how beautiful it truly was! Seeing the green for the first time right along the water and the Ponte Vedra homes was honestly breathtaking My friend and I were the only ones out there, and we had a small twilight picnic The view of the sunset was stunning as well as being on the very well kept green

This is a Jacksonville gem that I will be visiting much more often, and this is just one side of it!

Barbara Evans

The location is beautiful, the room was great but the service was off the charts good I was visiting for a conference and they knew in advance that I had a dairy sensitivity I felt like every person involved with my food knew that and took extra care

Special desserts just for me! Bellman, front desk, concierge, event planner all top notch, helpful, patient Highly recommend

The room was dirty The floor was gross, needs to be vacuum There was a cockroach running around on our floor

The bathroom floor had hair and dirty on it I went to call the front desk and both phones in the room aren’t able to call the front desk The button wasn’t working and the room in the middle of the night smelled like sewer That was just the first room 219 The second room 313 when we walked in, the coffee table had dirt on it The mirror had a film over it The elevator, on the railing, had dried drink on it Whomever cleans this hotel is horrible! I’m so sad about this because if this place was clean we would stay there every time we go to Jacksonville to visit our daughter and granddaughter The other two hotels in this area don’t have big rooms like yours They are clean so I will stay there I’ve never been so disappointed and grossed out at a Hilton property I do want to say that the front desk staff and breakfast staff were wonderful

Christina Marsman

Location and Staff are amazing, but, if you are a person with disabilities, this hotel may not be for you Shower is not wheelchair accessible My husband managed to lift me onto the bench, but it is on a tilt, which nearly ended in tradegy😫

Apparently there is only one room with an accessible tub, but it was taken (although that’s the room we booked)Our door was open when we got there Turns out, it doesn’t open or shut very easily Off the frame or something My husband hade to fix the ceiling fan also (cord was wrapped around–wouldn’t move)Location is great, next to everything Love that it’s dog friendly 🐕 I would stay here again, but would need to plan ahead for accommodations

Ken French

I’ve stayed at MANY Hilton owned properties but this is by far the most out of date and dirtiest one too date Tile in bathroom was full of hair and dirt(obvious it wasn’t cleaned) Room in general very dingy

Hotel doesn’t feel like a Hilton More like a days inn vibe at Hilton prices Very disappointed Also the drain for sink has something that looks like swamp thing coming out of it which is pretty disgusting Hilton if your reading this it’s time to sell this property

When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by a room that immediately showed the lack of care from cleaning staff The more we looked around, the worse it got There were stains on the carpet and furniture, hair in the shower, stains on the doors, a prior guest had stuck take on the vanity and it had not been removed, they had not filled the soaps in the shower, the phone and remote were STICKY and CRUSTY… the list goes on

Staying at this hotel was so uncomfortable because it was obvious that the staff had not cleaned certain areas and we could never be sure that other areas were cleaned either Front desk is only open until 11 and not 24/7 This didn’t pose a problem to us, but is good to know There was never any staff at the front desk without us having to wait for a while every time, even in the daytime The location is decent as it’s easy to reach major highways, but the entire area would smell like sewage at certain points, which would drift into the hotel We stayed for 4 nights Beds were comfortable

Madison Tacker

I did not stay, as I was unable to I made a reservation under my name as I was paying for the hotel, I am 18, an adult and while I am aware you cannot check in at 18, my brother was staying with my who is 21 We met the front desk lady and let her know that the reservation was not under his name but he was of age and she told me that she needed to confirm with her boss

The front desk woman then told us that we would not be able to check in because it was under my name and I am not twenty one, she then proceeded to call me a “minor” three times and said that I was a child I asked her if we were able to change the name and she told us yes She then removed our reservation and told us to book online The only booking available was over $30 more then the original price I was paying (for a lowend hotel) I was not going to pay $160 for one night when the original price was $129 Just very disappointing as you would assume changing the name on the reservation would fix the issue I didn’t have the chance to stay, but with the terrible service, she saved me a horrible stay

Mandy Murkerson

It was great until the morning of check out Went down to front desk at 9am asked for towels for kids swimming lady asked me room number and asked me was I aware of check out time I said yes maam I know

She only gave me 2 towels for 3 of us and toldme to return them to the desk Why would I give you dirty towels back and not just use hamper in room? It really came across as if she didn’t want me to use pool which was cloudy and full of bugs so close to check out and like I was gonna steal her towels The hotel is nice but the dirty pool and the rude staff is enough to ruin it

Great Staff, Uncomfortable Beds, Bugs In MuffinsFirst, let me say that the people here were really nice The hotel itself is in good condition and the rooms are large and well set up But the bed was absolutely terrible

We booked a 1 bedroom with a king and it was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on After the first night, I called and told the front desk to ask for a mattress topper or to see what could be done and was told they didn’t have any but could give me a couple of extra blankets, which I had to go retrieve myself and which didn’t help but the lady was nice and apologetic about the bed They said they were also out of rooms other than one downgraded studio During breakfast, my daughter was about to open a muffin and noticed that inside the packaging there were bugs crawling around I saw several people come grab those muffins before my daughter and go up to their rooms, so hopefully, they noticed The staff was quick to remove them once I pointed this out and everything else on the line was clean In summary I’d say the staff were great as far as being friendly The bed was so bad though My neck and back were torn up after staying here for 4 nights on vacation I went back home from vacation feeling beat up because of it If something could have been done on the bed situation, the rating would be much higher, but when the bed prevents any rest and relaxation on vacation, it’s something I can’t just gloss over Now I have to try to recover from my vacation while going back to the grind

Krystle Kerr

My husband and I stopped in Jacksonville on the way back from South Carolina with our newborn and this hotel was amazing from top to bottom! The staff are so friendly and accommodating from the front desk to housekeeping The hotel is clean, modern and located right off 95 We are loyal Marriott Bonvoy members because of properties like this one! We will definitely be back for our next road trip!

James Whaley

I spent a “staycation” here and the staff were excellent I had a small mixup happen and the cleaning staff for some reason thought I was checked out The cleaning staff threw away all the food in the fridge and bagged my clothes and other items

This would have easily dropped my rating to 1 star had the hotel not tried to reconcile They were going to refund the food, but I requested an additional day for free and they were able to oblige the request Even though the cleaning staff did not speak, or acted like they didn’t speak any english the front desk staff are very professional and considerateI would stay again and recommend BUT only if able to receive a discount somehow Being a military vet and receiving a reduced rate helped to make the choice to stay here easier I would not pay the exorbitant non-discounted rate for this hotel though It’s not an over the top amount, there’s just better places to stay at equivalent full retail price

At first when we pulled up, I thought oh no! But when we entered and were greeted by Ms Fatima who was very friendly and professional She helped us with checking in and offered some very good spots to enjoy Ms Nancy was amazing as well, she assured all of our needs were met and I made a new friend

All I have to say about our stay was the exceptional customer service and professional staff that assisted us The hotel was immaculate and the staff took great care of it As a seasoned traveler I highly recommend this hotel

Ashira Ellis

Good morning, my family and I have been wanting to go swimming but the pool in our neighborhood has been down We’ve recently stayed here at the Marriott just to go swimming Upon our arrival we met Fatimah at the front desk where she assisted us with checking in

She was magnificent! She helped us with all of our needs She suggested a few places to try for dinner as well as a few places for the family to have a great time She was amazing we will definitely be returning Thank you!

Robyn Sholar

I have a new GO TO hotel in Jacksonville!! I travel a ton and this Residence Inn is outstanding! I stumbled upon it for one night for my family of 5 before we embark on a cruise tomorrow My kids even remarked this is the nicest room they’ve stayed in (it’s not we’ve been to some really nice resorts) BUT I think it was so far above their expectations and mine that they made the commentIt’s huge, it’s VERY VERY Clean

It’s in a great part of town and the staff is incredibly friendly I WILL be recommending this property to everyone!

Very comfortable and clean! Lots of places to sit, a lot of room and perfect for a family Included 2 Queen beds (more on the firmer side), pull out queen sofa, desk, coffee table, TV, lots of outlets for charging electronics, lots of lighting/lamp options, soft & fluffy pillows, microwave, dishes, dish soap, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, garbage disposal, plenty of wastebaskets, recycling bins, plenty of shelving, a closet and a curtain to separate the beds from the other half of the room Offered breakfast, but we left too early for a flight to be able to partake in that so I’m not sure what was available

There was 24/7 decaf, gourmet and hot H20 in the lobby with a variety of creams, sweeteners, teas to make, hot chocolate packets and to go cups/regular mugs available Staff was great too!

Once Upon a Cruise

Dirty, smelly and disgusting! We stayed for one night on Christmas Eve, 2021 on our way down to Tampa It was one of the few places that would allow our dog We are Hilton Honors members and have never had an issue with any Hilton property

The room we got was very spacious and had decent amenities However, it was NOT CLEANED FROM THE PREVIOUS OCCUPANTS There were TOENAIL CLIPPINGS on the floor, clothing receipts and change sitting on the bedside table HAIR IN THE SHOWER and SINK Food crumbs in the kitchen and also on the TV table The toilet had fecal stains in it and the toilet seat had what appeared to be either blood or fecal stains I nearly threw up because I stepped in something sticky on the bathroom floor! Totally unacceptable We called down to the front desk and they switched us to another room It was barely better but we were exhausted and needed to sleep at least a little to get to our new house in Tampa on Christmas day The front desk person was very nice and apologetic She advised that all managers were off due to the holiday Bad management leads to bad behavior We were told that we would be contacted by someone within the next few days That never happened See? Bad management This place is supposed to be new and it was so nasty It smelled like hot garbage in the hallway of the first room we were given That should have been a sign We should have stayed in our car It was cleaner and less smelly

Elizabeth Fantin

GO ELSEWHERE! AVOID THIS HOTEL!! We left the hotel after being assigned to room that smelled, overlooked (right outside the window) a pool desk where a mess of adult locals were playing in baby pools filled with ice when there was a perfectly good swimming pool, and all over “used look” to the place Signs at the front desk were worn They did not have to water and snack bags they are supposed to have for Honors Club members saying it was the pandemic; last nights Hampton had them

The GM said the only other room he could swap us to had no a/c, (this is 96 degree FL summer weather) and he had just spoke to another guest on the phone saying he had no maintenance person on staff We were early check-ins and he could have found us an upgrade or another room When I pointed out Hilton’s satisfaction guarantee he reply was clear that he was quite used to receiving and rebuffing complaints against his poorly managed location If we had stayed we would have had revelers outside our window until 10 or later Hilton Honors rebooked us at another property Until there is a top down change from the owners and a renovation of a worn out hotel, drive by this one Its the worst HOME 2 we have ever visited

My first and only issue was with a 3rd party that I used to book the reservation I requested two nights, got confirmation for two nights, but when I checked in I discovered that Hampton only had one night in their system The front desk, easily resolved the issue and I ended up with a better price

The accommodations and the customer service at this property were more than satisfactory The staff was very friendly, cheerful, and very professional The complimentary exceeded my expectations of motel fast food service My wife and I were surprised that the food was made with fresh ingredients of good quality, well prepared, and the presentation/serving was very professional The serving/dining areas were attractive and very clean The only regret that I have is that I had more than seconds helpings

This hotel stay by far has been one of the best that I have experienced and I have been to plenty of hotels Trudy the manager was very informative when we spoke on what was needed for my event planner to be able to come and set up the room Tiffany at the front desk was so helpful and such a kind soul

She helped me book for another night with ease Nichole at the front desk was very polite and so was all the other staff there Unfortunately I can not remember all the names of the staff I had encounters with there, but each one of them were amazing They really have a great team at this site Room was clean, no complaints there I will definitely stay here again every time that I come to this city

Arrived at 9pm to check in and was greeted with a friendly smile and a hello even though she was taking care of another guest They were in the process of remodeling so the front desk was a little awkwardMy clerk got us on the top floor so that we wouldn’t be disturbed with any noise since we had to get up early for a flight

The only thing I didnt like was the elevators were not kept clean Only one elevator could be used due to renovating So it got plenty of use You can tell by all of the hand prints on the elevator doorsOverall the room was very clean We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom and beds The room was very nice and the hotel clerks were great The complimentary breakfast was also amazing

Room was nice overall Our room wasn’t throughly cleaned which caused a lower rating We checked in pretty late and checked out really early so didn’t really say anything to hotel staff

The other issue was, i checked in online the day before and selected room with digital key but was not able to use that feature The person that checked us in initially told us that he couldn’t find our reservation but after a few minutes had a squared away The manager the next morning greeted us as we left the hotel which was nice

Simone

I am here for a 3 day stay on business Visually the room and hotel looks great However there is an unexplainable moisture and damp smell in the room

The couch is actually damp to touch and the room just feels wet and overall gross Not to mention, the kitchen floor is greasy I asked to switch rooms which, the friendly gentleman at the desk did so without push back, however I did a walk through of the new room before moving my things and it was the same situation So I returned to the original room I am not sure if this is hotel wide or exclusive to the hearing impaired and disabled rooms (which they both are) I purchased candles with hopes of dissipating the smell, unfortunately that is not helpful either Needless to say, I am looking forward to the end of this trip The stars are for friendly staff and aesthetics
