My sister just had her wedding at the foundry, it was a beautiful venue, some of the staff was friendly for the most part, but the coordinator Marie left me very unimpressed She did not communicate well with any of us(I was moh) didn’t set up enough cocktail tables, did not put enough chairs out for the ceremony so guests were left standing It was a tight space so I can understand that would not have been a big deal on its own

But she did not follow the itinerary correctly, when the food was brought out the staff was all over the place, some people did still had not even gotten their salads while other people were finishing up their meal There was no serving utensils for the cake, so the bride and groom could not even feed each other the cake after cutting it The bride was bombarded with questions all day and that is not something she should have had to deal with on her wedding day For how much money was spent on the venue I expected a lot more and it’s very unfortunate that just days after her wedding she is looking back at all of the things that went wrong

Cheryl Stevenson

The venue was perfect for our nephews wedding It was nice to have the wedding ceremony and the reception at the same venue without having to drive to a different location The staff was very professional including the valet parking crew

We are handicapped but they went out of their way to help us get our walkers out of the vehicle, open doors and assist us getting in and out They were so helpful The waitstaff and bar tenders very nice Food was exceptional I have absolutely no negative comments to make It was a very enjoyable experience Thank you very much

Kelly McVay

Attended this venue for a wedding The reception room had a slight musty smell, but the lovely atmosphere with lights, brick etc quickly makes up for it

The food was quite good as well, with both hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and a nice seated dinner The tables in the back corner seemed to get forgotten when hors d’oeuvres were passed however when the servers were made aware they made a point to get to those tables as well Overall great experience

This place is a stay away situation Booked my hotel and paid in full on my credit card over a month in advance Got an email from them less than 24 hours from checking in and a 1000 miles from home saying that they could not honor my reservation and they would only be issuing me a partial refund charging me a cancellation fee

When I spoke with they told me about their fluctuating rates and that I had a promo rate and I was bumped for a priority guest who was willing to pay a higher rate They told me that that very day they had bumped a single mother with 6 children, so my situation wasn’t as bad as theirs The attendant who was the night auditor lied to me and told me no manager would be in the building until 11am the next day I work in the industry and I know this a lie Messaged the location 5 different times and never received a message or call back This place is unprofessional and filled with people who lack integrity I was on vacation and a long way from home and this made things very stressful I have contacted corporate as well and no response Fortunately I was able to book with the Comfort Inn across the road and although the location was a little dated It was very clean and had kind caring professionals who worked there and it made a big difference

Clean room, bed and everything Nice foyer, there is a restaurant in the building which is pretty pricey The food is great but not for the price and the wine is also expensive at the bar

The location was good except that leaving the parking lot can be a challenge since you are pulling out straight into traffic All in all I would stay there again but would like to experience different hotels in the area

I was a bit uneasy after reading a few horror reviews from recent visitors Upon arrival the hotel looked promising as the lobby and hallways appeared to be clean and well maintainedHowever once we got into the room we were assigned, there was food crumbs on the floor and the bathroom floor was sticky/grimy

We went down to the front desk, got a new room and Steve was awesome plus apologetic He mentioned if we had any more issues, they had plenty of rooms available at the moment The second room was great, clean, sheets smelled fresh but realized there was no fridge to hold milk for our toddlerAgain, we called front desk and this time, it was quite a condescending tone from Paul He mentioned not every room has a mini fridge and microwave He so called “offered” for us to keep our toddler’s milk at the fridge at the front As a parent, I am not comfortable leaving my toddlers milk like this Paul went even further and said he knows we are only staying for one night and cannot keep giving us a new roomI was very taken back by this, I paid for this room As a matter of fact, he didn’t give me anything but a horrible feeling that I cannot trust this hotel againMy apologies for housekeeping at this point, I’m going to be using a lot of ice tonight to keep the milk cold and will never be returning to this hotel even if it was free

I booked two rooms on a weekend the rate was between $150 and $160 for the night This hotel is located just off the I-290 in Amherst, and thankfully is far enough from the interstate, you cannot really hear much trafficOur experience with check-in was positive

The staff were helpful and answered any questions we had without issueOn arrival, the exterior and the property generally look nice Same with the lobby and hallways It ends thereOur first impression of the rooms is that they are small There’s not much room to move around once you get a family inside with any luggageThe interior of the room was lacklustre to say the least The laminate floor was dirty, with giant gaps to stub your toes on The furniture is well used, and abused, and appeared to be hastily wiped down but not cleaned fullyThe minifridge was clean, but the freezer inside was full of frost The coffee maker was dirty and didn’t look appealing to use at allThe TV worked, but froze up intermittently, becoming frustrating to deal withThe bathroom is incredibly small, like REALLY small – with a toilet and small shower stall, barely big enough for a grown adult to fit in Anyone with physical ailments or a larger person would have a tough time making it workThere was hair on the floor of the shower stall, and on the bathroom floor The corners of the floor, behind the toilet were dirty and full of dustWe booked a room for two adults and two kids, but the room only had two towels Again, the staff were helpful and arranged to get us more, but was disappointing this wasn’t taken care of as part of the bookingThe beds themselves were clean, but underneath the beds (yes, there’s an underneath the bed at this hotel) were disgusting Tons of dust and dirtBoth of the two rooms we booked were on the same state of cleanlinessWe had no problems with noise, other than hearing the toilet flush periodically from the room aboveWe checked out the pool area It was generally clean, but appears that some areas are in need of being freshened upI’ve stayed at a number of other Hilton hotels in the past, and have always had a great stay Unfortunately this one missed the mark completely I would not return to this hotel again, nor would I recommend it

Joshua Wakelin

This was a great place to stay

yes the furniture isn’t new, yes it could use a touch up of paint here or there, but honestly it’s not the RitzThe place was clean and the staff were amazingly polite and accommodatingI’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and I can honestly say I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Very interesting old building and unique rooms Clean room No coffee offered to guests other than the little nasty in room brew pads

really nice for $200 roomOdd lighting in the room No desk light and no light overhead near the desk Bathroom doors don’t close to actually prevent the commode being seen from the seats in the room Lastly, no USB ports to charge anything No coffee is a really nice touch

Great location Reasonable priced for great location We walked to Key Bank Center for show

Room was clean comfortable and bathroom was big had a shower and deep tub next to itWish I brought bubble bath and had more time historic lobby brings cool vibes Parking garage is very close and cheep Would stay again

I really want to give the hotel five stars, it is such a neat building Comfy and well located, great shower and huge bathtub A few things hold me back: I found the front desk staff aloof and was told I’d be better off “Googling things” I wanted to know things about Buffalo or going into Toronto

The explanation of unloading and the parking protocol (while it’s very reasonable $) was not clear or helpful And, no fridge in the room, not even a teeny square one Two nights I had leftovers and had to toss them I’ll gladly update this review if these things are addressed

Excellent Fully stocked kitchenette Neutrogena “pump” products, less waste, environmentally friendly

Nice breakfast selection Friendly staff Clean rooms, comfortable beds and a nightlight in the bathroom Quiet Convenient location right off I-90 Reasonably priced Plenty of everything stocked in the suite Only cons were that the ice machines on floors 2 and 3 didn’t work and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom

The manager of this hotel Renee is not friendly I went for a funeral of my mother I called this property before and explained what I needed

I am a Hilton Diamond member Booked room based on what I was told Booked on the app Then called and was told there were no more roomsWHAT????? Needless to say the stay from there was awful Got the 2 rooms but had to pay 270 a nite for 1 room Anyway the room I had the toilet seat was not screwed down fell offthey did not replace the whole seat until the day I checked out after 4 nights Then they told me they were booked when I tried to extendI went and booked another Hilton across the street Madison front desk was nice The manager Renee was not So spend your money somewhere else Don’t stay here

Michael Power

this hotel is in a good location that is accessible to the walden galleria mall and local shops the check-in was easy although i had two reservations for two nights they were not able to process it at the same time and i needed to checkout and check-in each night of my two night stay

the hotel is clean and comfortable the king suite with pull-out sofa has a black-out curtain in the middle which makes it like two-bedrooms- which was great when sharing with kids the breakfast area is rather small for the number of guests it serves the staff run around franticly trying to attend to the guests request the breakfast is tasty but with limited selections overall, a comfortable stay this hotel gets my recommendation and i would stay here again

Lived there for 9 months Hospitality is great from Linda who runs the place! Very friendly and is there to help in anything you need! Try it no matter how long you are staying! Linda will pick you up at airport or train station and bring you there and if need be give you a ride back! There is also 3 bus routes going through the area of Moreland Guesthouse! Very convenient!

Catherine Desley

Great cozy place, building could use a little TLC, but has many amenities like the room tv on the wall, community kitchen, bathroom, and lounge Linda is a fabulous host and was very accommodating when my 2 Hr layover at the Chicago airport turned into a 4 Hr layover! My only big complaint is the owner also gossips too much For someone such as myself who was considering moving to the area, I don’t feel comfortable moving there anymore because whatever she told people in the area got people talking about me as I walked around the neighborhood

Some people can dish it out but can’t take it I’ll never go there again myself

Alice Elliott

Great place Really cool I booked ahead of time but arrived super late without warning

Totally my fault but Linda was really nice about it and had the room ready in no timeOnly reason it’s not five stars was that the dog can be loud when guests move around at night which is annoying but other than that it’s great

My wife and I stayed at The Parkside House for our honeymoon and can’t say enough about how wonderful it was! Located on a beautiful street in the equally gorgeous Parkside neighborhood, the Parkside House immediately catches your eye The house is beautifully lit at night, maintained perfectly and is supremely welcoming

A beautiful wood-framed bed, classy seating area and great artwork help to make you feel like you’re not just staying at a hotel, but really getting a special experienceChris and Jose went above and beyond to accommodate us on our stay and were the dictionary definition of “welcoming” We enjoyed all our conversations and got some great recommendations for things to do during our visit Our favorite memory might just be Chris’ exquisite breakfasts! Truly some of the most delectable food I’ve ever eaten for breakfast; it made every morning so much better!Lastly, it’s remarkable to walk out the front door of your B&B and arrive at the world-famous Darwin Martin House only a block and a half away! I had the pleasure of staying for two weeks I very much enjoyed my stay It’s a charming eclectic boutique hostel, and the staff are hard working

They do an excellent job of maintaining it and creating a welcoming environment A bonus is that it’s in the heart of downtown Buffalo, within walking distance to theatres, restaurants, cafes, etc and it’s not far from Niagara Falls I rode the bus for $4 dollar round trip to the falls Well worth it!

Vivian Lee

Pretty good value for the money One issue is that there is only toilet and shower stall on one floor, so at full capacity, about 30 people are fighting for one stall Also, if someone is using the shower, it becomes inconvenient/invasive to use the toilet

The beds are also a bit uncomfortable I don’t expect $1000 mattresses, but the upper bunk is so low, you can’t sit up when you’re on the lower bunk There parking instructions, but still receive the parking ticket As a local business, they should make sure to give the correct information depending on what time of the year the guests are staying, as local laws change*edited to add, JP was a fantastic host and even came to find me to personally apologize I have changed my rating to reflect the great customer care received

This was probably the best hotel experience I have ever had The staff was amazing We asked them questions about must-see places and they delivered

The pool was closed for maintenance during our stay and they coordinated with another hotel for use of their pool The breakfast was great The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable

Sairam Rajagopalan

Pro – Very good location and was given a spacious 2 bed room for the stay Beds were goodHowever the maintenance within the room was bad, the bathroom shower handle came off many times The front desk did not have any DVDs

It was like a place which flourished once upon a time and now lost it Breakfast also was pretty limited in variety All over the hotel, there was some food smell (kitchen was provided but can’t understand how smell goes throughout) Had better expectations with IHG (am a member), seems only holiday inn has some standards maintained

Clean, solid gym, friendly staff, affordable, good amenities We were pleasantly surprised by our stay here, the room we were given was well worth what we paid Our room included a kitchen with coffee maker, sink and small stove as well as plates, bowls, glasses and utensils

In addition there small living room space with recliner couch and TV The bathroom provisioned with dove products The gym area had everything I needed (pictured below), always glad when they have dumbbells on hand! Altogether we loved our stay, slept remarkably and would recommend to anyone

I needed a hotel to do an extended stay at I have used candlewood before in different locations, but his stay was amazing The staff went out of their way to accommodate my wife and I

We had a small cat with us and they made sure our room was serviced regardless Everyone who works there is extremely nice and willing to help if there is an issue We had some minor issues with the heater in our room and it needed to be replaced They did not charge us for that day The room was very clean All the washer and dryers were in working order which was great I would highly recommend staying here if you are going to be in the buffalo area for an extended period of time

I have stayed here number of times while attending a Buffalo Bulls football or a basketball game It is very close to the University of Buffalo I enjoyed the suite, it has everything you need to eat

It needs a bit of a update It is very close to restaurants There is a Tops Supermarket near by to grab a few things for breakfast or dinner to have in your suite Book early, especially if you are attending homecoming weekend, the hotel can fill up quickly Not too far from Orchard Park home of the Bills, or Niagara Falls I will stay here again in the future Just a heads up there is no restaurant in the hotel Staff is friendly and helpful

I stayed for 2 weeks and found the staff to be so friendly, accommodating, and attentive to requests Everyone was great! There is a grill for use by guests which is a great option and the front desk always has utensils available I wish they paid more attention to cleaning the outdoor seating

The rooms had good storage space, a decent kitchen, and was well lit but the beds were a little to springy for me This location is within 10 minutes to many shopping and dining options and a short drive to Niagra Falls and downtown Buffalo

As I had a lot of people with me this time, I decided to book at TownePlace Suites Buffalo Airport instead of next door at Fairfield Inn because I thought that everyone would be a lot more comfortable, if that makes sense Thus, I booked three rooms for my familyAll rooms were very well-cleaned and maintained, very quiet, everything worked well

The issues were very minor, but when I told the front desk staff, they got on things right away I will say, though, that I do think that the breakfast offerings could use a little work, but that minor critique did not affect how nice our stay was as a wholeThat all said, it was a wonderful stay, problems were very minor, and I’ll gladly stay here going forward when I am in townI thank the staff for their kindness and hospitality

PIYUSH KESHARWANI

We were really impressed with the facilities this hotel has specially at the affordable price of 75$ per night Suite had beautifully designed Kitchens, workstation, bed and bathroom Enough kitchenwares were provided, only one big pan was provided could have been there more

The hotel rooms are getting renovated not sure how would the rooms look after the renovation but whatever was there, it was impressive

We were very pleased with this hotel The room was spacious and well-appointed, and the mini kitchen in particular was useful for us On our first day, we used the Hilton app to check in and unlock our room, which was convenient

The room was sanitized to our satisfaction and you have to explicitly ask for housekeeping services, which is great for those who don’t feel comfortable having others in their room Breakfast was included in the rate and was filling, although it’s the same fare everydayThe app did give us trouble unlocking the room on our third day, so we had to ask for room keys That and checkout were our only interactions with receptionOverall this was a great find and we’d recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, modern, and reasonably priced hotel in the Buffalo area

I traveled to Buffalo for a Sabres game and wanted something close to the arena This place was perfect Not only is it close to the arena it’s close to other great places to visit

This place is absolutely beautiful I stayed in the BeeBe Suite and it was beyond what I thought it was going to be and expected One night was not enough Next trip I will definitely have to stay multiple nightsThe owners Jennifer and Robert were so friendly and accommodating The breakfast in the morning was so deliciousThis will be place I stay at every time I’m in Buffalo

Taylor Jones

I cannot recommend this place enough! Jennifer and Robert were fantastic, personable and phenomenal chefs Jennifer and Robert truly make an effort to offer the little things and add a personal touch to your experience To top it off the inn is in an ideal location that allows you to walk to multiple neighborhoods

We already can’t wait to go back!

Oscar’s has become our favorite place to stay when visiting our son in Buffalo My husband and I recently returned a second time and felt just as comfortable as the last

We immediately started to unwind as soon as we arrived after our 8-hour drive from Boston Jen and Rob are the absolute best when it comes to making us feel at home! Thankful for the special touches – leaving a carafe of filtered water in the fridge, delicious truffles, even a touch of cinnamon in the coffee, to name a few! Not to mention the most clean, comfortable rooms, soothing breakfast, and elegant surroundings We hope to be back!

I give this hotel extra stars for their service during a Buffalo Bills game weekend! The staff was very friendly from the desk to cleaning people to the breakfast area staff I have not seen a hotel that has been functioning this well in a long time And thank you for having the famous Holiday Inn Express Cinnamon rolls!! I will definitely use this hotel again

Also, for others- they had a really nice pool area and fitness center I did not have the chance to use them, but they both looked really nice! Please like my review if you found it helpful

I was only staying 1 night, returned my rental and back to the hotel to catch a flight at 7 am the next morning I was very surprised at how quick they run their airport shuttle to and from the airport The receptionist is very helpful and courteous! I would definitely stay there next time again! The room is okay, not updated, but it has an interesting layout in the shower, it’s a good place to stay near the airport!

Megan Mitchell

This hotel was awful It’s probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, including budget hotels The shower was moldy, walls were dirty, refrigerator was dirty and moldy, things had not been dusted in quite some time and there were splatters on the headboard

There was also a urine smell in the bathroom and the tiles next to the toilet were stained from urine There was absolutely nothing for breakfast and we were told it was going to be at least 20 minutes until anything was ready (this was at 9:15am) We paid for breakfast through the room fee but then also had to find somewhere to eat and pay for breakfast again My husband travels for work and stays in hotels multiple times a week and said it was really badWe had 2 rooms and the maintenance worker asked if he could go up to our room when we were gone to see what was wrong with the door Eeeek!
