Almost perfect experience Stayed here for 4 nights which two were in Studio King two were in 2 bedrooms suite Rooms were new, spacious and clean

Many thoughtful small details such as auto-sensed lighting, lots of power/USB outlets, toaster, coffee machine…complimentary breakfast with enough choices Only two complaints would be thin floors and ceilings which you can easily be bothered by upstairs footsteps; and (nearly) too low water pressure in bathrooms Overall it’s highly recommended Will definitely come back here again

Clean, beautifully updated and spacious! The bridal party at my best friend’s wedding got ready in one of the hotel suites, and the space worked perfectly for all of us and the make up and hair artists I called and requested that the room be cleaned and set up for the bride and groom after we used it A hotel employee by the name of Elijah made it happen, and even called and texted me updates of the room with the beautifully arranged rose petals, etc! They also allowed us to request a late hotel checkout for the happy couple

Thank you, Elijah and staff!

The staff were really friendly yet professional The hotel design was nice Love the Jacuzzi and pool

I personally wasn’t impressed with the room Some parts look very new,Like: I love the bathroom It has motion sensor which really useful especially night time I also love the shower design of how shower faucet is on one side and shower valve on opposite side They do have quiet hour from 10pm-8am Starbucks coffee The location of this place is surrounded by many great places Walkable distance from restaurants/cafe, shopping center, and so onDislike: We found a hair blush that was left from previous tenant I personally dislike their pillows, it was ultrasoft type with no volume to keep up the structure, I then requested a firm pillow, however, they delivered additional ultrasoft pillows Some parts look very old It got me wondering why they didn’t paint over or renovate it There was not a lot of choices for breakfast Just egg, bread, muffin, waffle No bacon or sausage Around 8pm, our upstairs neighbor decided to stomp around It wasn’t like people walking around It was like one person stomping around back and forth for 20 minutes I really didn’t do anything since it wasnt during quiet hour, didn’t really bother me but still wanted to mention Water from shower went down very slowly during/after shower, I personally don’t like standing on puddle of water after showerTheir garage parking is $25 (first 2 hours is free, after that is $5 until it’s $25)Complimentary breakfast from 6am-9amPool: 8am-10pmGym: 24 hours

We had the perfect stay Everywhere we walked was a photo op The bridge for the family wedding photo was on point

We were there for a wedding and it was 5 star stay Everyone went out of their way to see that we had anything we wanted The wedding location was beautiful It is historic and every detail is well appointed The reception was grand Great dinner, the desert table was second to none and the band was perfect They knew how to play while we ate then had the perfect song list for dancing NO rolling on the river or we are family cheesy tunes Sign of a great band Afterwards we had a beautiful spot to catch up before going to our room and sending up for a late night bite with room service Our room was classically beautiful a tad small but it is a really old hotel We’ll be back!

Shanta Marie

Stylish and refined in its lusciouness… well kept, well manicured with charming gardens, excellent service and services Spa was fab!And get this, the power went out in the area in the middle of my massage and they calmly and sweetly brought in candles to finish and comped me the massage And had backup power so we still had basics

Very nice experience that could have been uncomfortable otherwise

Nice place, very clean and nice smellsThe breakfast is very simple but okay and the parking lot for approx 27$ per night is also fine

Staff was trying to be friendly but didn’t succeed I did not get the feeling that we were taken seriously and every question we had was annoying for the staffTwo examples: The towels at the pool were empty so my friend went downstairs to reception The ‘help’ she got was the note that there would be a rack with towels Obviously the rack was empty and we were lucky to have house keeping running around on the same floor and got towels from themSecond example: House keeping had to be requested 24h in advance We didn’t get informed about this at the check in but okay This is not something unusual for the US We stayed in total for 4 nights and after 2 nights we wanted at least fresh towels So we scheduled an appointment for the next day However, when we got back we only found a notice on the floor saying that housekeeping wasn’t possible due to high demandThis frankly is unacceptable and impudent After all, the ‘rent’ per night is fairly highWith better service I’d rate the facility much higher

Austin Rasmussen

We stayed last night, using a free night with our Bonvoy points Good location near freeway and plenty of restaurants to walk to Our room was clean and spacious

Nice kitchen area with working appliances THANK YOU for being dog friendly Our dog adjusted nicely and the employees were very nice to him (and us!) Even gave him a treat at the front deskThe breakfast was very good and there’s nice areas to sit The lady working that area that morning was super friendly and made sure everyone was doing well She’s awesome!Only complaints:• thermostat was a bit confusing Even with instructions We got it working but it was very low strength to cool the room- breakfast ended a bit early (9am)- pull out couch bed was very uncomfortable We also heard other guests complaint about it

Tatsuo Suki

This Residence Inn in Pasadena is a nice hotel for both short and extended stays The room that we stayed in was clean and had no issues with it The staff were nice and accommodating with requests that you may have

The breakfast is still a “grab and go” type of breakfast due to COVID but they do have ready-made oatmeal with all the toppings you want, which is great The giant chess set on site is rather fun to play with and the pool is typical of a Residence Inn pool – which is located outdoors, 2nd floorAll in all, a nice stay and will definitely be back to visit

staff was amazing and very kind The structure has a great garden, safe private parking lot which was a lifesaving the building is old but wellmaintained

nice restrooms However i definitely do not suggest this hostel for leisure or travel purpose people there, are mostly workers (very educated and nice) not a right place to meet new people to hang out with

Haley Bennett

Great hostel in the heart of classic Hollywood, close to the Chinese theater and walk of stars The staff were very friendly, the rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean, and the water pressure was greatOnly thing I didn’t like is the AC for each room is controlled at the front desk so you have to call if you want it turned on or want the temperature adjusted

That felt awkward and we didn’t want to call too much, so ultimately we were less comfortable than we could’ve been if we had our own control

S S

I will say that if you are not a hostel person, this is probably your best option The hotel is really old, which did add to the charm, and though it meant facilities were also older, the place was clean I am not a hostel person, this I have discovered, but the place is safe and a good option if you just need a place to sleep

The staff were absolutely wonderful and the guests were generally really quiet and pretty mature The areaoh boy, well, it’s safe-ish Don’t wonder early am or late pm, be smart, and you’ll be fine Because it’s behind one of the main touristy strips, it’s heavily occupied by security and police, but do not stick out of the crowds If anything, it’s entertaining

The hotel is remarkably clean Walking from the car to the room, you’ll notice how well-maintained the property is Everyone on the staff is phenomenal: front desk (day and night), cleaning, and continental breakfast

The location cannot be beat in HollywoodParking is indeed tight We came back around 9:30pm and it was full The night manager saw us on the camera and came right out to help create a new spot Repositioning in the morning took some maneuvers; definitely bring your urban driving skillsOverall, this is a gem and one for future LA stays!

Brenda Sellers

Loved our stay here The hotel was very clean and staff was amazing Outside area to smoke

Within a short 2 minute walk to Hollywood Blvd and all the places you would want to visit including Hollywood walk of Fame, Wax museum, Ripley and all the major tourist attractions The hotel is nicely decorated and very quiet Would recommend 100% We would definitely stay again

Top location – 2 min by foot from wall of fame, staff super friendly, we took a double king bed room that was super spacious and at last proper sized and comfy beds! Also option to park car for $16 – way less than other hotels and staff super friendly – all of them! Room had a small kitchen but we had breakfast downstairs with nice waffles and Nutella Carpet in hallway could do with an uplift but considering location – all good!

Not too sure what the other reviews were saying but I thought the staff was very friendly! The guy who checked us in was informative about where everything in the hostel was (bathrooms, kitchen area, luggage storage etc) Check in and check out process was quick and simple

I appreciated the covid screening We booked a 4-person female room and the ladies who stayed with us were all very lovely It wasn’t as noisy as we were expecting The bathroom was clean, I noticed they had a custodian clean the bathroom very often which was great The location was great for all our activities we did in the surrounding LA area I’d recommend it to anyone who plans on being out and about for 16 hours a day and only needing a place to sleep, as that’s what my friend and I did For the price, you really can’t be mad

Luke Bunder

If you are coming to Hollywood, do yourself a favour and stay here My wife and I stayed here in a private room First off, the location is awesome! Right in the middle of everything you want to see and right next to a big, secure parking area

The check in was quick and easy The people on the front desk were easy to talk to, light hearted and made us feel very welcomed We looked around the hostel before going to our room and it was open, clean and just really good vibes The people were friendly and fun, this was nice after such a long time travelling We then went into our room and were surprised at how big it was The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, it had an air conditioner and a bar fridge It was way better than I expected! The bathrooms were very clean too (which is always a bonus at a hostel lol) This has to be the best hostel I have stayed in Overall our stay was incredible and for a great price Both my wife and I highly recommend staying here

Levi Kuskie

2 stars for a 2-star hostel I stayed for 12 days, here’s my experience-nightly assaults from bed bugs, changing sheets did not help-the bathrooms are cleaned once a day in the morning, but the way people use them – there should be 2 cleanings a day People are gross-the shower doors are near see-through-the free wifi is sufficient-free breakfast from 6-9 (bagels, coffee, oatmeal)-loud parties in the common area at the end of the week, quiet hours are 12-7am so expect people to be loud until midnight

This hotel was great Small but beautifully decorated The parking was very convenient

Food at the downstairs cafe was all great! And the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable I cannot say enough positive things about the staff Would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone looking for a stay in the area to stay here We loved it!

Eileen Isagholian

The rooftop servers needs a total refresher course in the hospitality field The only reason we did not up & leave was 1) we were too tired to find a new place 2) we were there for an art exhibit & couldn’t leave the artists party Our waiter was up in the clouds, missing certain important cues in serving

We had to physically flag him down to ask for water (He was basically MIA for most of the meal) Everything was brought out together, salad & appetizers along with main dish By the time we got to the main dish (fish) it was cold & nasty View & ambiance & music was great Definitely food is not worth the price

Michelle Deras

I forgot to take pictures but we had a work meeting here, the service was great we also catered lunch for the staff and the food was really good we had potatoes, grill zucchini, green salad steak and chicken parmesanAnd then we went to the bar and then we had dinner at the rooftop In lounged after The place was packed and there was also a wedding reception at the rooftopEveryone was very happy with the service and the food

I also spend the night there in a few of my colleagues also the rooms were cute roomy and even the toiletries had a really good scent to themI would definitely have another meeting, lounge, have dinner and stay there again

My husband and I had a great stay at Hotel Covell! We stayed in Chapter 1 The room was large, well appointed, and comfy Everyone associated with the hotel and the bar was friendly and accommodating

We enjoyed getting a bottle of wine from the bar and lounging on the roof patio As noted on the hotel website, it can be a bit noisy in and around the hotel This is not a complaint, but we did hear music from the bar, other rooms, and lots of street noise If this bothers you, call the hotel to figure out the best room for youAlso, Los Feliz is a nice area and the hotel is located close to lots of yummy restaurants There is literally a good coffee shop, taco place, and sushi spot all within 20 steps out the front door The hotel is also a great location for easy access to Griffith Park We walked over and hiked up to the Observatory I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Covell!!

Emmett Anderson

I’d be remiss if I didn’t pass along a hotel recommendation from our recent stay in Los Angeles Hotel Covell, in the Los Feliz section of LA

is a 9 suite boutique hotel with a cool apartment building vibe The units are all different, and they sit over a great coffee shop, Ice cream store and Bar Covell, a popular wine bar that serves around 150 wines by the glass, and a light menu You’re within walking distance to cool shops, bars and restaurants, and who knows, you might see a celebrity or two staying there or just out and about Convenient free parking in the back avoids the usual big hotel up charge and valet costs I’d say the price is reasonable compared to other decent LA hotels The staff is very friendly and accommodating too We picked it for its proximity to where our daughter lives, but whatever your plans in La La Land, check out Hotel Covell

Brendan Gates

Wife and I stayed at Chapter 2 the mid century NY suite and instantly felt at home Great chill rooftop and atmosphere The wine restaurant below was excellent with their knowledge and selection of wines as well as offering a curated selection of beers on tap

Amsay was very kind and went above and beyond the entire stay Definitely staying again and a must if you want to be in a charming location outside LA with coffee and breakfast tacos adjacent to your door

This place has 2 separate underground parking garage One is closer to the front desk and gets full fastWe stayed for a night because we stay at the observatory late in the night to see stars and the LA night skyline

Front desk staff was courteous and helpfulBreakfast area was clean and adequate replenished at peak time Wish that they have more than one waffle machine so the line was shorterFitness center was a good size however the pool was not heated!Room was clean but quiet noisy because it was facing a busy street We were tired so were able to fall asleep quick though

7/7/22 at 8pm I arrived at this property to be impressed by the front desk agent running the swing shift She is a True professionalShe explained were the pool was, breakfast and parking info

I don’t normally review anything, but I have to say that I stayed here a year ago and it was great—great service, clean I just went in today and it was so dirty/sketchy, I almost immediately cancelled my reservation There were drops of dried blood in the elevator, there were crumbs on the counter, scuffed floors and walls, and strong smells everywhere

I’m pretty sure that the state is funding low-income housing here It’s super sad It used to be really nice

Captain Jason Lilley

I have no idea how there are 5 stars for this place First off, I booked a week in advance I came to this location since my father was staying here

He got there a few days before me and said to cancel my reservation as this place was unacceptable to him and he moved hotels the next day When I called to cancel a few days prior to coming, they said I I could not cancel since I did an advance reservation When I got there, the place had a weird smell to it The room had no curtain or doors on the closet, just an open track where the doors used to be Found a long black hair in the shower, and not mine The room felt dirty and smelly, with dents in the fridge, cabinets look like they had water damage, and appeared run down for the price you pay here And NO ice machine? I ended up staying on the uncomfortable pull out sofa bed at my fathers hotel and just used the room to shower and shave in the morning Dingy AF!

Adriana Rebold

First, the staff was very friendly and helpful The location is very convenient However, the price of the hotel is very high for what you get,

$36500 per two nights is excessive for what you get A closet that has curtains instead of doors, very old furniture and dark carpets, vanity that is so old is chipping away, shower head that barely works, one little bottle of shapoo, appliances that are all dent and scratch Very disappointed!

I recently stayed at the Hotel Burbank for more than a week The staff truly made it feel like home, and I give them really high marks The room also was very good

It included a mini fridge, microwave, and good climate control system The neighborhood was wonderful with several excellent restaurants within close walking distance The only slight downsides were that there was limited drawer space and limited bathroom counter space The elevators also were also a little slow With that said, I would absolutely jump at the chance to stay there again The Hotel Burbank was a wonderful place to stay

Yvonne Leyva

The stay was clean and comfortable Good area Walking distance to restaurants and 15 minutes from Universal Studios

Customer Service was great Ethan checked is in and was very helpful Only thing was I wish the lounge would have been opened One night wanted to stay in and have a few drinks but the was closed Other than that it was a great stay

This Hotel is very spacious The hallways are wide and the rooms are spacious and the lobby is big and comfortable The service was great

They helped me get a late check out The pool was nice and clean and it was a nice area to relax The location is perfect for downtown Burbank It is close to great places to eat and a movie theater and we were able to walk to a nice hike in the hills and it is really close to the Burbank airport You need to Uber to the airport but it is a quick trip I liked the decor in the lobby

Stayed here for about 7 days during my honeymoon Was clean and tidy with floorboards Gave the entire room, a very fresh look

Can’t complain about the room service either Everyone was so kind hereThe location itself was too notch Less than a minute walk from the entrance to Dolby Theatre Within five minute walk to Hollywood Blvd And from there, you’re in Hollywood It’s nuts just how close to everything you are when staying hereEven with a rental car, we had private off-street parking All secured and very safe Plus, we managed to get laundry done here without having to worry about leaving the place and travelling down the street

We chose to stay at Hollywood Orchid Suites because they got good rated and great reviews and we liked the location which was walkable to many attractions in Hollywood We got the two-bedroom room for our 5-person family The room was spacious and was like a good size apartment

There were two double beds with one rollaway bed The beds and pillows were very comfortable There was a full kitchen in the room So it’s good if you want to cook easy meals or heat up some leftovers All the staff was very nice, especially the lady who works during breakfast time, Patricia Patricia was helping us and made sure we got things we wanted for breakfast I think whoever runs this hotel really knows how to make guests comfortable and happy We loved our stay and can’t wait to stay here again if we visit LAPS Call the hotel first to find out about the price We found out that the rate the hotel offered was much cheaper than the rate at travel agent websites

100% would stay again Perfect location when staying in Hollywood; just a short ride share to everything you want to see, but parking is pretty cheap if you have a car Excellent staff!! Concierge and breakfast coordinator genuinely care that you enjoy your stay and have a good time

Charming lobby and pool area Note that the walls are thin, however this was never an issue for our three night stay Street noise can get loud if staying on the front side of the building, especially if there is an event at the Dolby next door Roof patio is phenomenal, and there is a pretty decent view, too! They even have facilities to wash your clothes if you’re staying awhile Hollywood Orchid is like a home away from home!

My husband and I stayed at the Vibe in Hollywood in mid-July The place isn’t fancy and yes, it does seem like a hostel, but the location was good for us and parking was only $6/day The room was a bit warm, as the AC window unit didn’t work that well that day

Also, there are no blackout curtains so the sun really lights up the room in the morning making it hard to sleep in But, the property is funky and cool The manager, KeKe, threw a bbq for the guests which was free and a lot of fun The guests were mostly international, I think we were the only Americans there which was cool KeKe was able to speak to guests in English, French and Japanese He’s a real gem

Made a reservation via Expedia, got a confirmation But go to confirm with the actual hotel itself and they do not have my reservation, talked to Expedia and they said my reservation was changed without my knowledge or a confirmation code and Expedia confirmed my reservation from their end I emailed and called the facility to talk to someone but no answer, keep getting a fax machine

First of all, to address some comments below – this hotel absolutely is walking distance from the walk of fame Okay it’s not ON the walk of fame, but you need to pay a while lot more for that It was about a 5 minute walk for myself, but it could be as much as 10 perhaps if you’re being leisurely

The hotel is in fantastic condition having recently been renovated, the beds are comfortable and the shower pressure and temperature is the best I’ve had in the two weeks or so I’ve been on the roadThe area wasn’t the safest feeling, but again not the hotels fault and you’ll get that anywhere you stay in the areaThe staff at this hotel really set it apart, really friendly and provided plenty of local info including a printed map of the area with directions to attractions and places to eatBreakfast is what you expect from a holiday Inn (like it or not) If you’re not familiar with it, the cooked breakfast isn’t the greatest but they have got really good pancakes which is my go to (they’re made fresh) and their coffee is always goodThe ONLY gripe I have, is that parking is valet only and is expensive, but again – no different anywhere else I could’ve stayed It is parking on site though so easy to grab items from the car if anything is forgotten (which I always do) Parking is secure and safe too – only accessible via the manned entrance

Gregory Foltz

Hotel has been recently remodeled and is like new condition All of the furniture in our room was new too Everyone at the front desk was amazing, friendly, and helpful

The hot breakfast was good and the offerings were changed 3 different times over our 7 day stay so it wasn’t the same boring stuff day after day They main lady in the breakfast room was phenomenal, her name started with an M, I wish I remembered it to give her full credit, she said good morning to everyone with a smile and kept everything stocked She started our mornings off right each day Next time I visit LA I will be staying here again

Mandy Rasmuson

Rooms were clean and seemed updated Outside the hotel is a bit sketchy and felt unsafe, but the parking is gated and felt safe The Hollywood walk of Fame is not really in walking distance to the hotel

There are not any restaurants within walking distance (except subway, and Starbucks Which closed at 4pm) Continental breakfast was awful! Cold cereal, bagels with no cream cheese, no warm food besides gross eggs Milk for the cereal was in a fridge from a shared container Pool area was not nice at all

The staff was very friendly and welcoming Timothy, the concierge, was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the building’s history The room was very clean and spacious

It offered a full kitchen with all the necessary pots, pans and utensils to cook meals, should you desire to do so I am 6’2″ so I was very pleased with the king sized bed The the bathroom was clean and offered a rain shower head, which not only uses less water than a conventional, it feels great Despite the building being renovated it was still very welcoming It is a great value for the asking rate I will be coming back to stay here again

Brandy McMahan

I had a fantastic stay at the Canterbury Suites Timothy, at the front desk, was such a great host He told me all about the colorful history of the hotel and the neighborhood around it

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Timothy; he was gracious, friendly, and really just made you feel like a friend It’s been a while since I have been to Hollywood so I was worried about not knowing exactly where the hotel was located in accordance to all the tourist stuff; and I could not have been happier It was literally smack dab in the middle of everything I was able to walk almost everywhere; and if it was a little longer than I felt like walking the metro rail was a few blocks away for easy travel The room I stayed in was huge It was clean and decorated with cute little details that made it feel like old Hollywood I will 100% be coming back and staying here again I also can’t wait to check out their Venice beach location!!!

Ross Sorenson

Overall I can say that I liked this place I get the impression that it used to be an apartment building and has been renovated into a hotel, but in an interesting way The rooms are quite spacious, with floor plans that are unconventional

The beds are nice, large, comfy with more fluffy pillows than you would ever need The furniture is also nice and new Bathroom is stocked with shower and bath products that you want to take home with you Plenty of hand towels, wash clothes and bath towels are already provided when you check in Every room has a kitchen, mine had a full kitchen, not a kitchenette, a full freaking kitchen which I did not useThe stairway and halls leading to the rooms is dark and possibly still the original wood Soundproofing hasn’t been a part of the renovation, but it is forgivableThe rooms are seriously nice When you walk from the dark hallway into the room you’ve rented it is like you have passed through to another dimension There is an obvious investment of thought and design that has been put into the look and feel of the roomsThere is a gate code which you can use to gain access to the common areas so if you have guests you can give them the code and your room number and they can find their way to your roomThis place is unique and pretty awesome I will visit again

Not having traveled since before lock downs, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Hollywood, but this place was great! It was clean and unique The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the building felt secure with gates etc I stayed in a budget room, which had everything i needed

It was clean and bed was comfortable There was a small social gathering to meet other guests which was nice! Courtyard was nice Would really like to see breakfast or BBQ in the tiki-garden in the back! I look forward to staying again this summer!

The hotel is really near Hollywood It isn’t far away of Walk of Fame But the location is not so good for walking by foot

A lot of homeless people are living in this areaThe rooms have all you need for a city trip You will invest the money there very well Most rooms have a big bed and a double bed So you can use it with 4 people You also have a little kitchenIn the middle you can park the car for 5$ per day It is absolutely fairI used this hotel with a friend twice At the beginning for 1 night and at the end for two more nights I would book it again!

Red Hot

Cute hotel, absolutely awesome vibes We loved our private room and especially that back patio area It truly felt like I was somewhere else and that completely separated us from the urban jungle outside

Check in and check out was an easy process and the hotel is conveniently located to Metro and the major tourist attractions of Hollywood I definitely look forward to a future stay

I stayed here for a night when I came to see a band play at the Palladium I was able to get early access to my room by calling the office and getting the number for the staff there This is the best place to stay if you are looking to stay in the area! Right between Sunset and Hollywood, and super convenient to lots of other fun things to do

When I told him I was going to the Palladium he took me outside, down the street, and showed me exactly where it was Asked what my interests were and then gave me recommendations on what to do based on those Incredibly kind, all the way The room itself was amazing, so cute and decorated with such an eye for detail LA is honestly not my favorite place to go, but I am hoping to go back just so I can stay here again Even if you only stay here for a night during your whole trip, it’s worth it

We had no idea this beautiful hotel existed! You must read the history of the building; it’s so interesting and made our visit that much more special We wanted to stay close to the Hollywood Bowl and Uber to the venue, which was perfect Villa Delle Stelle offered to order dinner for us and have it waiting upon our arrival

We were able to eat and sip wine, all the while taking in the incredible ambiance of the suite (we stayed in the Parisian) We were sad that we hadn’t booked a longer stay because it was that lovely We got phenomenal recommendations for things to do from Tom, the absolutely darling hotel manager, who was readily available to make our stay extra special Tom is a gem! I highly encourage everyone to book a getaway at the Villa Delle Stelle; you won’t regret it!

Without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in the states in a long time The room is previously a small one bedroom apartment and how nicely they have decorated it! I had the English room and it was a delight to cook my own breakfast and dine in breakfast nook and having ground coffee and a French press in the room, ready to go? Heaven! I will be singing your praises for some time, thanks for a great stay!
