Last minute stop for the night with the kiddos Jennifer at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Her customer service is top notch! I haven’t felt this taken care of in a long time She knows everything about this cute gem and will ensure you’re taken care of! We’re super excited to put in our breakfast order and have it brought to our room in the morning! Our room is very clean and the price was good for the area

No complaints I would stay here again on our next adventure Especially if Jennifer is still here!!

We entered the lobby the smell is horrible! The floors are uneven and covered with carpet The AC leaked on the carpet huge wet spot! Throughout the years the re-painting and remodeling that has been done is subpar I thought it would be cool because it was historical when we got there we realized we had made a huge mistake! The staff was nice! The pool was fantastic! Don’t get a corner room near the intersection or you will not get a good nights rest! Single paned windows

Lastly we really enjoyed watching the drug deals at the Shell gas stationed across the street! At night nobody buys gas they park at the pump Wait for the kid to show up on the bicycle after that cars take off! It was a great source of entertainment Definitely will not be back! Breakfast was a joke!

This is an Old historic hotel, so take it for what it is and appreciate it The rooms are spacious and cozy The staff is so accommodating and on point

The place is well taken care of It is a pet friendly place and I must say it does not smell like dog in the premises In the morning the coffee ran out, and the staff was quick to run out with a small pot while the big pot was brewing so no one had to wait They really care about the property and take pride Housekeeping left extra towels and toiletries folded so cute on the bed on our 2nd day,and I appreciate these details Breakfast delivered to the room was a special treat!!! Simple and tasty!!! I can go on and on

Check in was very quick and easy, they also have free breakfast every morning (6:30am) which is fantastic! Bathroom was clean, bed is incredibly comfortable and the room is spacious with a kitchen (stove and refrigerator)

I was there for a convention and the hotel was very close They gave an air conditioned gym and a self serve laundry and a very nice pool area to stay cool Staff was polite and service is quick All I all a very worry free stay This is my go to hotel when I visit Tampa!

Megan LoPiccolo

The rooms were clean, big suite, enough room for our family of 5 I would have given 5 stars but we weren’t happy that the pool closed at SEVEN o’clock most hotels we’ve stayed at and we’ve stayed at many, close at 9, 10 or even at 11 pm The fresh baked cookies were yum and breakfast was decent I just wished it went a tad later like 10 but there were a lot of choices

I would stay again if it wasn’t so pricey

This was the best hotel I have ever been too The rooms were extra clean, service is great, and it is very close to where my filming is Beds were amazing, No bed bugs, good price, a full kitchen, there is a room in the hotel to do laundry (it’s not in the room but that doesn’t matter)

Bathroom was clean, and I just love everything! To me it is a 5 star I really recommend this hotel if your looking for a great vacation!

Fantastic accommodations in the Clearwater location We liked it so much we came back for our vacation the next year Clean rooms, great prices, very comfortable beds, cold AC, laundry

Shout out to the staff, who work very hard, and are very accommodating Special mention for Heidi, who has unbelievable hospitality skills, knows the answer to every question you may have, and is a bar raiser for phenomenal service

Jay Weisenberger

The Simply Suites concept is Rad Basic extended stay hotel Good for single night stays as well

They have a nearly identical motif at each location so you feel at home everywhere you goSonesta has a series of brands depending on the amenities you want and the price you want The Simply Suites hotel is enough for me A clean room with towels and linens changed on Friday A kitchenette, with refrigerator, microwave, and stove top A dishwasher and is stocked with utensils and pans you might need I could pick these hotels apart for peeling paint or a damaged lamp shade, but I’m looking for a place to stay while on a travel assignment I’m not looking for fancy I’m looking for a clean comfortable room with all I need and none of what I don’t

Staff was VERY friendly and accommodating The hotel and rooms were VERY clean The hotel I stayed in the night before allowed pets and our room smelt like dog and made our allergies go crazy

So it was a huge relief to be able to stay in such a nice, clean room at the Fairfield InnThey also had an actual hot breakfast bar and not the “grab and go” style with cold muffins & a banana The food was great for a free breakfastI highly recommend this hotel I literally have nothing bad to say about it It was worth every penny

The staff was friendly and helpful but the cleaning staff need to be fired Every surface starting from the elevator door, tiled floors to the furniture in the rooms have not been wiped in a long time I had to wipe down all the furniture in my room due to the visible finger prints ,dirt and dust

The bed linens appeared clean The rugs were filthy The rooms and furniture are visibly dated and the hotel has an “old” smell to it I would not stay here again We paid $180/night including taxes Not exactly cheap for this level of hotel The breakfast was also not great Pretty bland

Claudia Raye

The was by far the filthiest place I’ve ever stayed Well

I didn’t stay I left!!! I will NEVER go v to this hotel again I had an asthma attack when I walked in the room The cart was filthy, so filthy i didn’t want to put my clothes on it The outside looked like it never been cleaned ever It STUNK BADLY!!! Then the front desk person had the nerve to charge me for the room even though i couldn’t breathe in this nasty place

FloridaStateFan 2017

I stayed at this hotel before heading to Miami for a cruise, and all I can say is that it’s not really up to par with some other hotels within the regionOne positive aspect of the hotel is that the staff members are quite friendly; especially one of whom who just so happens to be an Atlanta Braves fan (Go Braves!!) Another great aspect of the hotel was its coffee

It didn’t as bad as I thought typical hotel coffee would The rooms themselves also looked quite innocent and clean, including the carpetThe main negatives that I have about the hotel just so happens to be within the bathroom and bed In my room, the bed sheets looked somewhat wrinkled and only had half pillows available The worst of the negative aspects took place in the bathroom, where I found small black hairs (some long hairs, too) inside the bathtub (“Bwaaa!” [Hank Hill])!Overall, this was not my ideal stay at a hotel in Florida; and I had better experiences in my past, especially at a hotel in Kennesaw, GeorgiaTo the staff members who DO see this review, I’m sorry if this sounded a bit harsh, but there are some things that you need to improve on

We loved this hotel! Great value for the price We spent here 3 days on vacation to celebrate my 60th birthday I loved the room on the main floor with a patio by the pool

Clean and well maintained Full kitchen with everything we needed Good quality linens Steps to the beach and a good grocery store Well equipped for the beach – 2 chairs and an umbrella It was very quiet too

Hans Behnke

Very nicely decorated, clean rooms, up to date They provide beach chairs in your room Our room (Room 312) provided a full kitchen, master bedroom (queen bed) and small single full bathroom

We could hear a little road traffic, but very little after 9pm Elevator is directly across from room, you can hear it beep three times when someone uses it, but didn’t hear it much Two TV’s in room, plenary of channels Nice, but small pool area, less than 12 chairs/recliners There was a grill and some other areas to sit near intercostal waterway Also a few small docks you can fish from Cross the street to gain access to Treasure Island beach, very short walkAll in all, a nice property to stay at

Kelly Marie

Superb is an understatement!!Arriving as a first time guest there, yet no stranger to (the TI) I was overwhelmed with the kindness, competence and friendly warm vibe Lesley and Diane exhibited

The place was IMMACULATE!! Beautiful, classy and beyond what we imagined Every single thoughtful stocking, beach chairs a complete kitchen stainless steel with EVERY THING STOCKED!! We felt like we were homeOur back porch opened to the water and a private gorgeous pool mere feet away 3 private docks for your boat rental or pier fishing The bed was a huge king, plush down comforter and extra linens available in the walk in closetI’ve had the luxury of staying all over the world from hostels to the Ritz- Carlton and this place takes the cake from the young and beautiful funny manager Lesley to the dolphins swimming literally as I sipped my coffee from the backI am planning to return again with my 4 yro Autistic son who loves the room so much he refused to leave and even locked me out to which Diane another bubbly blonde came to my rescue in mere minutesPublix is a quick walk and they even delivered our groceries and beer in 20 minutesI plan to return every year- for life! I loved it here 10 STARS!!!!!

I usually have no issues with IHG hotels but this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had Luckily we were only there one night Dirty dirty rooms!Upon check-in, the first room we were sent to smelled like someone had just been smoking in there

The cigarettes smell was very strong and I thought they accidentally sent us to a smoking room I called the front desk and the response when I said it smelled like someone had been smoking in there was “I’m not sure maybe it’s haunted” What a unprofessional and awkward thing to say We asked to switch roomsThe second room we were given smelled even worse Immediately upon walking in it smelled like bleach and chlorine There was also a small mold air purifying machine in there with words that literally said “warning, do not use when space is occupied” We told the desk again and the clerk said “oh yeah I forgot, I can just take out the machine” We said absolutely not We’re not staying in a room that has mold and reeks of bleach when we have 2 toddlers with usThe last room we were given smelled fine But all the rooms were dirty, especially in the bathrooms The showers had a film of dirt or sand on the bottom We all ended up wearing flip flops in there because we didn’t want to put our bear feet on the groundOverall I would sleep in my car before paying to stay at this hotel again

Joe Bullen

Danny at the front desk provided outstanding customer service I booked a room with a king-sized bed online However, the hotel had no more rooms with a king-sized bed, so he upgraded me to a suite at no extra charge

There was a burned out light in the room The room had a slight moldy smell that set me sneezing after showering Walls are thin so bass and conversation from other rooms does carry into your room Deducting a point for this factAlso, beds here are not nearly as comfortable as other Holiday Inn Express hotels Might go back to Doubletree again I just think this hotel might need updating Bathrooms were clean though

Greg S

This is such a great hotel and Danny at the front desk was so very helpful All the staff has be very nice and courteous This place is so clean and the up lighting in the rooms is amazing

The location is great for vacation you can be to the north or south end of the county in 20 minutes It’s also only about 20 minutes to Tampa or 45 minutes to Bradenton Thier breakfast is great also

Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here I am a Marriott Gold Member and the hotel was very dated The first room I checked into had a dirty toilet seat and an air condition vent that sounded like a JET was taking off

I moved to a second room and at 3 am the SMOKE DETECTOR went off blaring then it happened again at 5 am They replaced the detector the next day I had to ask to be compensated and the front desk Manager Tanya was less than pleasant and not apologetic I was attending a business training at the hotel and there were ants all over the coffee machine and stale bagels and expired soda were served The employees helping out with the training were very friendly and helpful which was a bright side to the trip

Sam Singh

I was there at the beginning of the month in my monthly training at MGE… we got in super late after a 4 hour drive… I was very tiered when we got to the room we noticed it was a bit warm … long story short the AC was broken! Called the front desk and told them… not only did they immediately change our rooms but the brought the key to our door so we did not have to go back to the lobby!! In the middle of the night this was awesome

Schlandra Fall

Me and my family went here on a short vacation This was an experience we will never forget The bed was horribly uncomfortable, the pillows were to soft they did not support our necks my husband and I barley slept due to this issue

The ice maker on the floor was so dirty that I would never ever ever even think about getting ice from there They charged for the WiFi 1295 a day Parking was at a minimum because they are repaving the parking lot The restaurant does not have a kid friendly menu or reseasonable prices The room floors are hardwood so when room service came they should have sweept the floor but all they did was make the bed and put out new towels We decided that we will not stay here again when we go back to Florida

Awesome location Walk right on to a great beach Nice heated pool

Rooms are individually owned and vary greatly Make sure you look at pictures of the exact room you are booking so you know what you’re getting Our room had a great setup Had 2 balconies and came with beach toys and chairs (although one chair was broken) Room could have used a little more upkeep and deep cleaning, but we didn’t spend much time in the room We were out enjoying the beach!

Linda Scott

The Island Inn is in a great location and the view from our room was spectacular! Staff was friendly However, the room was aged Decor on the walls was fitting and calming

But furniture, floors, baseboards, shower, bathroom area, closet doors all need repair or replacement Pool area clean and great, beach awesome It is sad to pay so much and not have updates and repairs needed To me the room felt like cleaning and upkeep isn’t a priority But I did love the view and pool!!!

Nichole Harrison

Awesome! Stayed in room 415, (the mermaid room) waterfront view of the Gulf It was very clean and nice, (looked newly renovated) had everything we needed We were able to cook on a two burner stove top and it also included a air fryer oven and full fridge

Our room had a king bed and a queen Murphy bed so we were able to sleep 4 With a couch/living space The grounds were really clean, everyone was so friendly, the staff was very accommodating The beachside bar was hopping and they serve snacks (pizza, cheeses sticks, etc) throughout the day Very centrally located, so easy to get to Can’t wait to go back

Had an unplanned overnight here in StPete about a month ago The staff at the Courtyard were absolutely amazing

I have never felt so welcomed from a hotel staff before The manager Arik was so personable and even offered to take my coworkers and I to the store since we did not have anything with us It was a Saturday night and the lobby got quite busy but Arik and Jason handled it like pros It was so refreshing to see a staff who cared about their guests and their job Would HIGHLY recommend a stay here for the staff alone The rooms were also very nice! I enjoyed the bed, it was extremely comfortable to sleep in10/10 would highly recommend!

Betty Delankins

I was meeting friends that were staying here and as I was walking through the lobby a man and woman were verbally fighting with one another The woman said something to the extent of “I’m not losing my job because my aunt is the housekeeper manager here!” I find it hard to bileve that that woman actually works there and the sopoused manager aunt let her behave in such a manner infront of guests I’m just glad I stayed to the holiday in, much better prices

And employees from the looks of it

I’m really late doing my review, for we stayed here last year in July 2021 but we REALLY enjoyed our stay at the Molloy! We stayed here for 4 nights as a ‘vacation’ after our hectic week at Disney The updated rooms provided tons of room for our family, and they were very clean when we arrived Our room was on the first floor, right outside the pool, so it was convenient to sit outside the door and watch the kids swim in the pool

The beach is only steps away, but unfortunately we stayed while the Red Tide was still in effect 🤢 That was at absolute NO fault of the motel at all, and the beach was far enough away that we couldn’t smell it from our rooms There were plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance, but overall, the Molloy is a great place to go to relax! Very laid-back, family atmosphere We truly enjoyed it!

Right from the start, you can tell that they are customer focused! That means a lot these days There’s an old world charm to this place that you don’t get in the corporate hotels The hardwood floors and the vintage decor/large nostalgic murals & canvas prints Bring you back in time

They give out free water bottles to start, then anytime you want them The pub/taproom best foods in Saint Pete, and we tried a lot! It’s an excellent place to stay if you want to walk to some of the best little restaurants or down to the pier The bathroom in our king room was definitely smaller than I would hope for since we stayed for five nights And the view of the parking lot wasn’t that great Wish we could’ve had a balcony room, but those booked too fast The other positives made up for any negatives The outdoor pool, bar & staff were the best! Although it was only in the 70s most of our stay, we always took advantage of the sun, lounge chairs, cabanas, drinks/food and the music at the pool! Very cozy feel even though you’re downtown:) Will definitely be back!!

thomas patterson

Stayed here with the family a few nights Great place in downtown Very close and walkable to the pier, and many other things

The pool was nice I would have liked to take a water bottle to the pool deck for me and my daughter but I guess that isn’t allowed, which i suppose i understand I wouldn’t want bunch of rowdy folks sneaking liquor in either The room was nice and the staff was very helpful

I love this place! All of the staff – from front desk, housekeeping, wait staff, bartenders, maintenance

were exceptionally helpful and kind This is a historic hotel, so yes, the rooms are a bit small and dated, but that’s part of the experience If you don’t want that experience, go to the Marriott The hotel is clean and well maintained The pool area is a gem in the middle of the city Hotel is easy walking distance to cafes, museums, waterfront, etc The food and service in the restaurant were great Outside dining in long, covered porch is lovely, albeit, somewhat noisy with street traffic, but again, it’s in the middle of the city

Love this hotel Julie at the front desk is so helpful along with all the staff The breakfast lady is great it’s like having your mom in the kitchen

The pool area is wonderful, beds are nice The kitchen and living room have ample space It is in a great location easy in and out and central to the beach, Tampa and get right on the interstate and Sarasota is just a short drive

The place is great, but Michael at the front desk was amazing Such a courteous and helpful young man He really went above and beyond in assisting us

Then in breakfast in the morning, most places just throw some food out and leave guest to fend for themselves You Lady that was attending to the area was very attentive and kind, I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to get her name

This was the most horrible stay as a diamond member Upon checking in at the front desk,we were greeted by an obnoxious smell like garbage from the carpet in the hallway Once we got to the room, we were welcomed by a roach in the kitchen

The pullout sofa and chair in the dining area was filthy and disgusting There was a soil on the mattress We arrived just before midnight, hence we remained overnight Upon checking out prematurely, I asked for the general manager who was “on a conference call” and was too busy to speak with me This speaks volumes about his professionalism Obviously, informing the front desk agent that we will be rewarded with points, was sufficient in addressing our concerns Noteworthy, we have yet to receive said points Please take your business to the Marriott a few blocks away if you want to sleep in a clean roomOne star for both front desk agents who were professional

Hotel looks very nice, but my daughter was BIT by either a bedbug or a flea! I was laying in the bed feeling very itchy, so I thought I’d go and take a shower to see if that helped I moved to the other bed in the double Queen room and was fine A few minutes later, my daughter complained itching and something biting her

Low and behold, she had three visible bites from laying in the very same spot I was laying in The front desk manager didn’t offer any kind of refund but the lady working the night shift brought us clean sheets My daughter refused to sleep in the bed after getting bit so I sacrificed for my child’s comfort, and went back to the itchy bed I felt something crawling in my hair and felt itchy most of the night Sadly, I was told by the hotel manager, Erin, that only housekeeping could verify if there were live bugs, which is quite comical since fleas and bedbugs are very tiny and hard for the eye to see as it is!!!! She basically kept saying it might have been a mosquito and made me to feel as if my claim was invalid which was quite insulting She definitely could have taken care of me by offering some kind of refund credit My total was $179 and some change after taxes she just kept repeating we were staying at a discounted price already and she could offer me a free drink or food item from their snack bar I would have been a returning customer if they would have taken care of me but bugs and bites are a HUGE NO FOR ME!!!! Terrible Poor business Poor management So disappointed!!!! I asked my daughter to show me her bites, and yes she got three visible bites from laying in that bed!!! I have one bite on my leg as well but it’s all in my head, right? People beware!!!! You will most likely have the same issue and be made out to seem as if you’re making it all up… I was told pest control just came and sprayed Tuesday so obviously they have a problem with pests to begin with GO SOMEWHERE ELSE UNLESS YOU WANT BUG BITES!!!

Do not stay at this place My card was charged THREE times and all were for the wrong amount Read entire review

Upon checking in I find my fire alarm in my room is beeping LOUDLY I go to the front desk to see what can be done It was late so no maintenance was available The clerk, who was very nice, called her manager to see what to do There were no other available rooms like the one I reserved, the manager offered to split up my party, take two rooms at twice the cost or remove the fire alarm ( saves lives) and I said absolutely not, the manager replied, you can check out if you want thenAt that point it was 10pm and I was ready to get sleep I had to take couch from the front lounge to stand on to reach the fire alarm to take it off the wall I’m 6ft tall and I was on a couch on the tips of my feet to get this off the wallAfter my stay, I received a online survey about my stay I and answered it honestly and politelyI am back in town this upcoming week for work, again, I booked a stay here, again, as it’s 12 miles from where I have to beErin called me just now and revoked my reservation due to me leaving a negative review What type of business does this?!My first name is Jack and my last name starts with the letter S If the owner of this hotel are my review, please call me

The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was good We liked that the hotel was quiet at night Breakfast was fabulous with lots of options including hot eggs/sausages/waffles, etc

The hallways smelled like smoke and they had a problem with the water being off for a couple hours and a broken elevator Other than that, we enjoyed our stay

We stayed here overnight last night for New Years The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating The room was decent for the cost and nicely amenities

King bed was nice and pillows were comfortable The reason for the 3 star review is based on insulation and privacy When we returned at 2am the neighbors were up and talking and the noise flew through the adjoining room door We had to have the TV on to blend it out Everything else was acceptable but that is not conducive to a quiet evening with so little sound barrier

Patti Blake

I have stayed here multiple times The only complaint I have is when I first started staying here the gave you a bag with a breakfast in it like a muffin and piece of fruit and they offered coffee with different types of cream like French vanilla etc Now they only have coffee with plain cream

They do not offer the continental breakfast any more Over all its a great stay The breakfast not a big deal but man did I need my coffee The staff was also very nice

tom aschauer

Spent three nights and four days here Not once did they clean my room, give me fresh linens, take out the trash or change the towels The ice machine on my floor wasn’t working and there is a neighboring house to the back that has a rooster that crows all day long, so try and get a room close to the front of the building

Or just stay at the Quality Inn that’s about a half block north that looks like a much nicer place to stay Although I don’t know how the rates compare But for almost $800 I think I would have expected more

First Customer service was great super polite and very attentive As it got closer to our stay I read so many negative reviews Even for the most smallest thing

We checked in May 22-May 29,2022 We had a great stay It was roomy enough room was clean and smelled clean everything was stocked beds were made Hotel looked amazing The only problem I had was I was on third floor and the website stated it was a smoke free hotel but a few people on third floor was going against the rules those people need to respect others Health especially kids Breakfast was the normal Cheese omelet sausage patty or little breakfast sandwiches muffins toast cereal oatmeal bagels People complained about the carpets yes they need new carpet For sure but clean hotel other than that such a great stay I would totally stay again

Barbie Vining

A decent hotel, comfy bed, AC working, nice pool and friendly front desk peoplePros: breakfast served early between 6a-9a I wished it stayed open until 10a

Scrambled eggs, sausages, breads, individually wrapped waffles, cinnamon rolls, individually wrapped bacon sandwiches, fruits, cereal, oatmeal, juices, coffee served every morning Terrific spread to fill you up and start the dayCons: No luck trying to get an ice bucket, apparently, they ran out, so had to settle for using a plastic bag for iceNo freezer section in the refrigerator

Stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! It’s a small spot tucked away off the main road, publix is nearby, with beach access right across the road The location is fantastic! When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the owner She was super friendly, very welcoming, and her dogs are extra cute and friendly as well

The room was perfect, beach themed and comfortable The kitchen had ample space with a full sized fridge and stove, a table and chairs, tons of utensils, plates, pans etc for all your cooking needs I can’t say enough good things about this property I would love to stay here again

Brenda Arko

Was able to take a short trip to visit my sister in her happy place I can see why she loves staying here soo much Perfect location and just right room

loved morning coffee watching the sunrise on the canal, kayaking with the dolphins and watching the sunset while listening to the drum circle across the street on the beach The thing that made it special was the people and the dogs Both roam freely on the property and enjoy the companionship of each other What is better than that? I left feeling like I had made some new friends!
