Nomad Skateboarding

One of the most welcoming hostels I’ve been in 🙂Bathrooms and kitchens are easily accessible Good amount of space for guests

Inside separate smoking room Great prices/value Free breakfast (I didn’t see what either time I started, but others seemed happy!) Stores, transportation, and University district right outsideThe staff were all very good Kayla and Aubrey were exceptional! (Full transparency, these were the only two I really spoke with, so the rest of the staff are most likely cool as well 😎)I would recommend this to anyone looking for a short or long-term stay in San Diego

Demetrius Rowe

From the time I checked in the staff was great Audrey along with the other nice young lady Kayla their customer service was very awesome! No attitudes and they always had a smile and was extremely helpful the days I encountered these lovely people The kitchen was spacious and the rooms were clean If there were or if any issues they looked into it right away and they did their job with greatness

Though things has happened to me I can say my experience was great and I appreciate them for allowing a great place like this to be around which allow people to come together and socialize

Elijah Mccord

I give this place 2 stars because I met some great people there and the manager cares about the place That said, housekeeping is pretty much non-existent The rooms are tiny and never get deep cleaned beyond the beds being turned over

Nor do the bathrooms, which are often out of toilet paper and soap The toilets get clogged constantly at which point the stalls are taped shut and left with a terrible smell that festers because of poor ventilation The fridges in the common areas are never cleaned, and the pantry area has a terrible mold problem that completely ruined multiple of my food items in which they were stored The overall issue is cleanliness I don’t wish to throw the staff under the bus because they are largely great people, but the truth is there’s a serious lack of maintenance that left me feeling pretty undervalued as a paying customer My opinions seemed to be shared by several of the other guests with whom I spoke about the issues It’s an ok option considering the price, but the infrastructure and work ethic of the staff needs some improvement

My family and I had a great stay here From the minute we pulled up the valet came out and helped us unload our luggage Check in was easy and we stayed in an absolutely gorgeous suite on the sixth floor

The hotel is in a historic building and it was nice to see the history of the building as you walk around The only thing I did not really like is how they try to rope you into a timeshare presentation Granted if you attended the presentation, which we did, they waived the valet fees and gave you a seven day stay in any of their hotels Aside from that everything was fantastic I would definitely stay here again

Honestly the best place my husband and I have ever stayed My husband is a huge baseball fan so this baseball-themed/old charm hotel was perfect! We went to California for our honeymoon and stayed at Mudville Flats, and they were so sweet to us They got us ferry tickets for the occasion

They showed us the ropes for how the place worked from laundry, to parking and everything in between Very thoroughLoved the patios, laundry on site, quiet rooms, kitchen, the incredibly comfy furniture, the charm of the rooms, management, basically we literally loved everything about it They also told us next time we stay there they’ll stock up our fridge before we get there with any grocery lists we send themWould honestly go back to San Diego just for this Boutique Hotel!

Chris Lee

Absolutely LOVE this place and would highly recommend Linda is amazing and if I lived in San Diego, I would make it a point to become her friend The building is only a few blocks from Gaslamp for shopping and entertainment and also close to many other fun things to do downtown

It’s also roughly a 15 minute ride to a number of beaches If I ever move to San Diego, I’d try to convince Linda to let me live here 😂 If you’re having doubts about renting this place for you vacation, throw them out and just book it already

Carol Moseley

It had been a while since I’d been to San Diego and a friend told me about this place I stayed for 6 days and it was the perfect alternative to the normal hotel It felt much more like my own downtown apartment than a plain room at the Hyatt or Marriott

The location was great, I’m amazed at how much the East Village has grown It was a two minute walk to anything I needed, restaurants, grocery stores, Starbucks! I loved the fact that the room had a fully equipped kitchen so I could cook my own breakfast or re-heat leftovers from the night before There was also a separate living room so my friends were able to come by and have a drink before we headed out downtown and it didn’t feel like we were in a cramped hotel room The fact that there was a yard behind the building made it pretty unique I was able to read a book on the back patio in the sun and just relax This is definitely my new hotel in San Diego and I highly recommend it

To be clear this is not a 5 star hotel It is an older well maintained hotel with good staff and clean rooms that is pet friendly It is just off the highway and coming from the highway you will need to make a u-turn to get to it

The Dennys in the parking lot is excellent For the money and being only 19 minutes from downtown SD it is a great option

Stefanie Meza

Stayed here for a month due to water damage in our home and I cannot say our stay has been anything less than exceptional!Great customer service at the front desk and pet friendly !security walks around at night so we did feel very safe when we had to take the dog out too use the restroom in the middle of the nightFree breakfast ! The breakfast is very simple so do not expect a 4 star meal but definitely perfect to grab some coffee and a small bite to go in the morning they also have waffles on the weekendNoticed a lot of tourist and families staying here along with some workers on the weekday

Perfect location if you’re a tourist on a budget !Close to freeways and some great Mexican food Definitely would recommend staying here :)A BIG thank you from the Meza family

I travel frequently and have come to really appreciate customer service wherever I stay It makes a difference how the front desk staff receives their guests because first impressions matter and sets the tone Portia checked me in, thanked me for being a Platinum member and was very friendly

She told me about the hotel and for me to let her know if I need any assistanceThe hotel is clean and modern The room was well appointed and looks like the photos on the website The bed and pillows were very comfortable The only issue I had with the room are the thin walls which became apparent late at night or 3am in the morning I was in room 420 and I could hear loud footsteps from the unit above, kids running in the hall and the neighbor’s door opening & slamming shut Random noise isn’t a deal breaker for me because the pros outweigh this but it might be a concern for those who need quietAlthough the breakfast options were basic and not particularly delicious, I appreciate that bacon was offered

Jorge Garza

excellent location! great staff! I was not bothered by noises from the highway Breakfast is ok for being complimentary The rooms were very nice and clean

The bathroom has no lock which may be an inconvenience for some families But overall I am very satisfied with my stay of 5 nights I will stay here again next time without any second thoughts

Ryan Poley

Great location and friendly customer service! The room was gorgeous and the bathroom was split: shower and sink in one; toilet and sink in another Very convenient! Microwave, mini fridge, and comfortable couch was also great features We didn’t get a chance to try the pool but it looked great! No jacuzzi though – but the pool is heated

I just bought a brand new EV and t they have four EV chargers in front of their building They do not manage these stations (ChargePoint does) As of this weekend, I could charge for the first four hours for free! Then it switches to paid charging I took advantage of this by charging for a few hours at night before going to bed 👍The breakfast food was great too!The bed was very firm but the pillows were super soft We will definitely consider staying here again for another trip!

My stay at this resort hotel was great the guest and valet are very pleasant they always “welcome you back “ the rooms are clean , has a full kitchen with a fridge and freezer , free Wi-Fi , and it is free to do laundry which is a plus There is a gym with basic equipment, I wish there was better air ventilation, and sanitizing wipes available in the gym to wipe off equipment after use The ceilings are low so don’t try to do tricks with the jump rope

There is also a sauna, and women’s shower in the gym area as well

The hotel itself is LOVELY! Our studio (with 2 kids) was only a little tight but it had everything we needed The space is actually good for 2 adults and 2 under-10s; see the photo for the pull out couch Immaculate cleaning and the mini-kitchen was fantastic

Strong wi-fi I was NOT pleased with the BR set up (Not enough strategically-placed hooks; does Wyndham not take showers??) No W/D in units but excellent basement service was complimentary Not far at all from the train or bus line A PRONTO card makes everything easier! Also, the Circuit app is very, very helpfulHoweverThe location is lovely but economic downturn is reflected on every street We’ve no qualm with this butbe discreet You don’t need to announce your expendable income, which the WRISTBANDS shout out hard Explore MTS etc before your plane lands! We had a room that was co-joined to another There is no bufferthe other family was LOUD, even at 1am There needs to be more insulation to those doors Additionally, the push for the sales presentation was PUSHY We never said nojust let us get in the room to settle the kids and enjoy a bottle of Pinot Nope, nope, the experience was obnoxious

Stayed here last weekend (& during the padres v dodgers game)The hotel is lovely – there are many restaurant options which are all good The pool is lovely too but does get very busy

Reasons for 3 stars:1 The gluten free pizza was served to us twice at Provisional brunch and it was still raw both times2 There was a pool party on Sunday which was super pretentious and cheap Unfortunately that ruined the pool vibe for us3 The steam room is unavailable to hotel guests unless you have a treatment booked If you want to use it without a treatment, there is a steep charge!4 Despite having an amazing room, there weren’t any perks5 The vibe and crowd at Oxford Social was also weird and felt like a strip clubOverall we did have a lovely time but worth noting the aboveLocation: If you are going to a Petco park game then this hotel is excellently located If you are not and there is a game on – then it can be overwhelming

So glad I booked this hotel! First and foremost, the best part of staying here are the people Everyone is so friendly, helpful and professional Justin the concierge was especially excellent

He guided me to the best parts of town, helped me get a rental car, book restaurants, and find the best beaches Very friendly and incredibly effective Douglas the concierge was also wonderful to work withThe rooms are well appointed with soft sheets, great coffee, and a firm mattress, which was the best part Make sure to ask for a Bay-Facing room Hotel is well appointed, some great design details Food at all their restaurants was excellent and service (except for one morning breakfast) was outstandingI would say this is a very nice hotel, but not a luxury hotel Partly because of its location in the gas lamp district which is pretty run down/decaying these days and party because parts of the hotel need some updatingThe pool area is in need of new furniture and a remodel of the pool and jacuzzi I was disappointed to see the pool area selling areas for non-guests to sit and lounge for a fee There was a group of tweens and teenagers when i first arrived who were loud and acting inappropriately for a place like of this caliberupon asking, I was told they purchased a lounge area for the day and were not staying at the hotel Only guests should be allowed to use the pool area, in my opinionI would also suggest more sophisticated music in the pool area, something upbeat but not “club” orientedthanks again

Richard Jaffe

Friendly staff Clean Great location in gas lamp district

Lots of restaurants Close to Petco stadium Special shout out to Christian at front door who exhibited outstanding kindness welcomed advice and communicated extraordinary respect He definitely exudes a wonderful face for the hotel Made me feel like I was the only guest here

This was my first time at a hostel and I loved it The common spaces were clean and the other guests were friendly and accommodating You could tell they had a system for managing people flow, cleaning schedules, etc

I appreciated that they provided complimentary ear plugs, though my room was quiet and I didn’t need them They provided a locker for my suitcase and only charged me $4 for a lock, which I feel like they could have taken advantage of the situation and overcharged me, but they didn’t The downsides were that the emergency exits weren’t clear, the power went out for a short while, and at least one of the bathrooms on our floor was closed which meant sometimes having to hunt for another option All in all, those things didn’t bother me much The location in the Gas Lamp district is unbeatable and convenient to the convention center and all the restaurants When I visited on April 20, 2022, masks were recommended but not required Proof of vaccination was required Amazing experience I highly recommend

Marie W.

Very friendly and safe atmosphere Staff were nice and explained things clearly and helpful Very secure entrance and rooms had electronic locks

My bed wasn’t ready when I showed up early but they offered to stow my luggage and allowed me to hang out in the common area The common areas were very cleanThe bed was comfy and linens were clean and my blanket was fluffy Lockers were big and fit my suitcase Locks were available for purchase for $550 the outlet was right next to my bunk which was really convenient Bathroom smelled a little funky but not enough to really bother meIt was a quiet environment perfect for relaxing The city gets a little loud at night but I expected that with all the outdoor dining and activities going on There’s free earplugs if you need them Lots of good dining and not far from the stadium, drugstore, and the bayI was able to walk a few blocks and catch the local bus to the airport for $250 which was anice option compared to taxi etcThis was my first stay at a Hostel and likely not my last because of how this wentThank you to all the staff for a relaxing experience!!

Akanksha Agrawal

The reception staff were very friendly They didn’t have our room ready, as we reached before time but they arranged something for us They even suggested places around

The room was very clean The hostel is well maintained and a great common area for everyone to chill and mingle They had free breakfast in the morning as well Overall a great stay Highly recommended !!

I’m loving the Marriott Pulse San Diego! The check in was great and the room was nicely furnished They have a nice bar with great food selections if you want to stay in My only issue was the TV was set to high bright so when watched it was super bright, but who watches much TV on vacation anyway

Perfectly situated downtown so walking distance to most places If you want a ride they have the Circuit system so you can take a quick ride to almost all the tourist sitesI’ll be back soon!

Ben Snodin

Firstly just to mention parking, as all the reviews complain about it: valet or self park are both expensive or difficult! (39/50 a day)We avoided this and parked on the street opposite (free 1800-0800) and in the Ace lot across the street for Sat daytime Total cost $21 Friday to Monday (vs ~$200 for valet)

We had no problems leaving the car, but made sure to remove everythingHotel: great location, a few minutes walk from downtown and 10s of great bars and restaurantsRoom: well designed, different sections make it seem more spacious Great bathroom Kitchen is well equipped but only has a microwave and toaster so don’t plan to cook muchStaff: very welcoming and friendly!Cleanliness: excellent! There’s no daily service currently but that was fine for usValue: best rate we found in downtown, rate through Marriott was most competitiveOverall a great stay, and San Diego is a really cool city!

We recently stayed here for a wedding we had to attendThe parking garage makes the most sense in Downtown San Diego and it was around 40 a night The parking garage is a tight area and you may need someone to guide you as you park

We arrived early before check in and the staff upgraded us to a better roomThe staff were very professional and made us feel very appreciatedThe hotel was very clean and they had plenty of sanitation around for employees and guestRooms were very pleasant as well, with plenty of spaceThe location of the hotel has you near a lot of local attractions

I’ve stayed all over the world in a variety of Marriott properties and this one stands out to me The staff here really went above and beyond Aaron worked the evening shift each night and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome (Eduardo too!)

Aaron, you’re the man! I’ll recommend to colleagues because you made the visit personal Thanks for everythingFor those wondering about the hotel, it’s a nice property I didn’t see a pool, but they do have a gym that’s 24 hours, which is pretty nice They also have a garage for the cars, but I’d recommend getting a small vehicle because it’s tight around the corners

This review is regarding Gabrielle who works the front desk

she is the best She goes above and beyond to make sure that the guest have exactly what they need to have a wonderful stay Her customer service is top notch It doesn’t matter what time of day Gabrielle always has a smile on her face I wish I could give 10 stars If you stay at this location stop by and say hi Gabrielle 👋🏼

This property and staff absolutely ROCK! I had to make a last-minute trip to San Diego last week and came in on a late flight Aaron greeted me upon my arrival and made sure I had everything I needed to rest and unwind after a highly stressful day The room was fantastic

Fully equipped with a supremely comfortable bed and kitchenette including a cooktop, fridge, dishes and dishwasher This place is clean with an updated aesthetic Location is in easy walking distance from the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown They also have a lovely outdoor space where I managed to meet quite a number of cool, fun people while relaxing outside during the week This is my forever go-to accommodation while in San Diego! Great people, amenities, kind assistance, and passion for this beautiful city Thank you Aaron et al!

A very nice timeshare to stay at The rooms are spacious and the fact it includes amenities such as an outdoor pool and grills and there’s even a balcony area for your room makes it very comfortable A full kitchen area with a sizeable table to eat or work at makes it a plus

The staff are polite and professional They are following current Covid guidelines Recommended

Derek Galenti

Staff was slow or non-existent to bring any item to the room The facility needs repairs and there is obvious settling to the structure I noticed there was sewer leaks at plumbing lines in the garage level below

Hallways and doorways on the 4 floor had major settling and felt like a cruise ship when walking through (sway and vibrations) I won’t go back for safety concerns It only got 2 stars for its proximity to locations I would feel better if a structural engineer reviewed it first

I stayed with these folks twice, between June 2012 and October 2012 It was a difficult visit, as I was attending a funeral for the latter trip My stay was made much easier thanks to the fine hospitality of these folks

Their location is within walking distance of the zoo, a veteran’s museum and an artists’ village If you walk in the other direction to Hillcrest, you have easy access to all manner of restaurants, shopping and other conveniencesEach room is unique So far, I’ve stayed at Sweet Cycles and the Southwest The common courtyard area is something to see I enjoyed spending my mornings there If you are a weary traveler and have the hotel blues, try this place I intend to make this Inn my go-to place whenever I visit San Diego

Lea Kissner

These two stars are for the location, which is excellent if you want to walk to Balboa Park and to an area with food/shopping The hotel itself gets one starIt is quite clean, but not really nice

That’s fine, but it also smells oddly bad, especially if you turn on the heater/air conditioning unit, which smells *extremely* strongly like someone peed in it (which would have required some serious acrobatics, so I doubt it’s actually the case)While we were there, the plumbing broke and we had no water at all for hours, then no hot water for a day We decided to leave a day early because of this and the owners would not refund that day or provide any other consideration

A smaller hotel that doesn’t have a lot of amenities, but is close to all San Diego attractions & freeways The rooms are nice and newly renovated, and the staff is friendly & helpful The beds are comfortable

If you have lots of plans outside in SD, it’s a good place to sleep and then head off Not a destination resort in and of itself

My mother and I stayed in this building nearly 10 years ago It is one of two hotels i have truly remembered for more than a month I wish cell photos were a thing back then because I LOOOOOVED the atmosphere

The check in desk has since changed, and yes, definite remodeling We opened the windows at night to have a fresh breeze (no AC at the time), everything was clean, open, and spectacularly amazing We walked all over the place And every single recommendation from the staff was spot on perfection Hubs and I are coming to SD in the fall and I truly hope we can stay here again

My son and I had a wonderful time The room was awesome and the balcony where we BBQd was great Everyone was nice and helpful in checking in

This building has some wonderful history but was wonderfully restored Looking forward to coming back We used the MTS bus, Trolley and the Coaster to get around Only used our car 1 time Bummer about the parking but oh well Other places are $50 a night Laundry does need some repair but was free Not going to complain Grocery stores very near by Loved our stay So many great memories!

This is my favorite hotel in San Diego 135 years old and original facade, this hotel is charming inside add out Excellent service to boot! The courtyard is beautiful

Call before you book and ask for a balcony room Our room, 226 had a fireplace and balcony over the courtyard as well as a large window on the street side Breakfast and brunch is awesome!! Food is delicious I’m sure dinner is also wonderful Make sure you see all the historical photographs on the wall up the staircase on the west side The bar is so cool with gorgeous hand carved wood and comfortable tables in front of The Palace fireplace A must see in San Diego Ask about the hotel’s history It’s so colorful!

The lobby is spectacular, very beautiful but my room look outdated but in a charming way I booked the junior suite with wet bar It was very spacious

It had a sitting area which included a sofa bed The bed was high which was a plus for me The views was not so great from my room The only thing that was outside my balcony, window was another building Parking was 50 dollars for valet or else you would have to park a couple of blocks away Location was in downtown next to the nightlife and walking distance for food The bar/restaurant located in the hotel was exquisite The food and drinks delicious

Avi Robinson-Mosher

Our first night we were in one of the suites in the back, which was nice but bigger than we needed and a bit dark Alex at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting us into a room that suited us better, checking back in on us and letting us know that one of the courtyard rooms was available the second day We switched to that and it was great – a lovely little balcony on the courtyard, lots of light, a good desk (important, since this was partly a working trip), and nice cozy decor

Thank you again Alex!

Me and my husband stayed here in the mixed dorm, for a night, the location of the hostel is pretty good Not far from the airport, and surrounded by a lot of good restaurants The front desk is open 24 hours

The room and the beds are clean My dorm room was right on the busy street, and adjacent to the lobby So was little noisy There was no attached bathroom You have to walk down the Holloway The restroom is clean enough and maintained There is vending machine inside The environment inside is also friendly and nice However, this is not the best hostel I have stayed so far

Isabel Baransky

No frills hostel Has some cool decorations and really nice staff It’s in a phenomenal location

You walk outside and you’re immediately hit with nightlife That also means it’s loud all night unfortunately Not necessarily from the hostel but from the surrounding area Breakfast is good, things are clean enough The lockers only work with large locks, not the smaller TSA luggage locks This was pretty frustrating to discover and I wish I had known earlier, as my two locks are useless Overall, would stay again if I came to San Diego

Aaron Bruce

Everything was great about this hostel The staff is super friendly The location and price are great

In regards to the things someone may be wondering:There is a fridge for food storage and a supermarket down the streetThere is locked storage in your roomI heard no exterior noiseThe location is super convenientThere is microwave/toaster/toaster oven You could hypothetically make a pizzaThey have a shuttle that can take you to cool places occasionally (they have schedule with them)I’m very pleased with my experience and a bit bummed I wasn’t there longer as the staff have great personalities

The 2 stars are for the 2 main benefits – free breakfast every morning (and it wasn’t too bad either) which saved a ton of money for a family of 4, and the large rooms (the beds were next to each other, but you can close a sliding door and sit on the couch to watch TV) and kitchenThat being said, I’m sure I can find this at another hotel and have a much more pleasant stay The downsides:- When I took a shower the first morning, water started leaking everywhere because the shower curtain wasn’t long enough and it was blowing back into me (gross!)

I tried my best to arrange it but it simply didn’t work and there was water every where I mentioned something to the staff because I didn’t want to ruin the floors, and received a simple “we know, it’s on order”very odd response and not even a “sorry”- The pillows were”crunchy” It was quite literally the worst hotel bed/pillow I have ever slept in I went to cover the kids and was confused, as they were using a MATRESS PROTECTOR as a sheet! Huh?!- The staff was the most unfriendly I have ever seen in the service industry No smiles No asking how our stay was They looked annoyed when I would approachOverall, there are SO many choices for hotels in this area that I wish I had known this before my stay (June 2022) After this we visited 2 more hotels during our trip which were both great, making this experience look even worse

Jennifer Knudson

As Diamond members we were on the first floor by the pool, so we were woken up by kids splashing around I asked for pillows and got them the next day We found ants in our room two days before leaving

There was a stain on the couch which made the entire room feel dirty I purchased Clorox wipes to wipe everything down, but you can’t wipe a cloth couch with spots on it, I wish I would’ve taken a picture because it was the size of two basketballs We were supposed to have our room cleaned after 4 days since we were staying 7 days and I confirmed with the front desk that it would happen Monday, but it didn’t The beds were very uncomfortable, and we ended up with 11 pillows and still didn’t sleep well The pillows should’ve all been replacedflat and lumpy We ate breakfast two days which was okay but after seeing dogs walking through the food area, I didn’t want to eat anything again from the kitchen The ~$3k we paid for having a kitchen, living room, and free breakfast was not worth it!!! We have stayed exclusively at Hiltons for the past 4 years and this was the worst experience We didn’t have to pay for parking after bringing up the ants which I have a picture of I felt dirty all week and preferred to not be at the hotel The one positive is the staff was friendly I can add pictures upon request

Bravo Adventures

First time staying at Homewood Suites in San Diego at hotel circle Furniture is very outdated Lots of cigarette buds outside

Landscaping needed some attention Thankfully their customer service was a great Very friendly staff Front desk was nice Housekeeping made deliveries in a timely manner Loved the recreation room which included a pool table and sitting area with a tv It’s a pet friendly hotel and that was awesome as we had our pet babies with us I enjoyed the gym early in the morning They have lots of treadmills Our room had a mini kitchen with 2 burners, average sized fridge, small sink, paper towels, tiny dish soap bottle, utensil, pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, mini island counter, a separate room, a sofa bed, everything in this suite was very accommodating and useful Complimentary breakfast is always a plus Nearby shopping centers such as Target Also many restaurants very close by Easy access to the freeway Great location Pool was average size It was a bit to cold to swim but warm enough to read a book and tan by the pool You need your key to access certain doors on the property such as the pool, recreation room, entering the hotel from the parking garage or from the back of the hotel One thing I didn’t like is that there was one sliding door that opened and closed the restroom and the closet One sliding door for both the restroom and the closet As a result of this one door you only had access to either the restroom or the closet one at a time only not both If this sounds confusing that’s how we felt trying to access the closet or the restroom Parking garage is very small and is located beneath the hotel We became very familiar with the hotel rather quickly Hopefully this hotel is on Hilton’s list to upgrade because the location is a big plus

You definitely need to stay here and I will write why next:As soon as you get there and go through the doors you will be found with an amazing staircase that is really well decorated, all the walls are full of posters It makes you feel goodAs you get closer to the register you’re received by very welcoming people, once you’re done with your check in process and get to your room is in good conditions and clean

The location is basically a 4-10 minute or less walk to clubs, restaurant, and a whole street of fun The location makes this place amazing definitely worth staying here That’s all I have go and visit it yourself and create your own experience and opinion Make it your journey

I stayed here 4 times now I remembered my first Visit here during the height of the Pandemic Despite how hard it was do anything Socially at the time of my first visit, at least it was great to interacted with the staff and some of the guests

A year later I came back things were more normal in San Diego Social wiseRooms are alright, the Beds too but the whole Hostel experience is positive Friendly staff and from my experience with Guests pretty friendly what I seen Plus, it affordable if your on Budget The Plus side of this Hostel its near all the good things to do In Downtown San Diego

graham barton

Phenomenal experience! Everyone from the staff to the guests has a warm, friendly, inviting energy Add that to the excellent location and abundance of art, and you’ve got quite the vibe This will definitely be the go-to spot for future travels

Objectively, the kitchen is set-up nicely so you don’t feel cramped even when it’s full The rooms are neat and clean, and the bathroom/shower facilities are accessible and ample The location is great for public transit on the rails or buses Perfect for going out only a few blocks from downtown Gaslamp, but able to come back to a more peaceful night sleep Just an easy, comfortable stay overall Best in San Diego

This was a great hotel for me and my family of 5 Check in was quick, service is excellent, breakfast was standard but delicious and everything we needed! The rooms are clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the abthrooms were clean I usually get creeped out by smells and textures but i had no reservations about staying here

The rooms and furnishings are slightly dated but everything is very clean and comfortable The pool area was clean and the water was heated We were all very happy

Daiyaan Epps El

The service was excellent Although the rooms are extremely dated, and the beds are super uncomfortable! I did a lot of tossing and turning throughout the night Unless you are staying for more than a week, there will be no bed service to clean the room

Luckily we only stayed one night You are able to control the air conditioning from the room with the old school window unit, which is a plus, and it gets super cold!
