I booked over a month ago requesting the top floor Upon arrival they said they were booked and gave me the second floor out of 4 The non smoking room smelled like stale smoke

The beds sounded and felt like they were on rusted metal bed frames The room was very hot and no air conditioning, but again they were ‘full’ so we just had to deal with it Couldn’t even open a window Pictures made it look like a brand new hotel but it is clearly old and just remodeled Will never stay here again Now I will listen to all the pounding on the floor above me for $15000 Beyond annoyed Very poor accommodationsOnly good thing is the location Not worth the money

Paula Davis

I was extremely disappointed with this stay Check-in took forever (I know, I know they’re understaffed like everyone else, yet they’re still charging the same fees even though the service is incredibly poor) I typically pick my own room in the app, but the hotel picked my room and I was told that it was the only room left on the top floor

The shower handle wouldn’t stay in a set position so you could choose your temperature, so it was either cold or scalding hot The toilet handle was super loose and it was very hard to get the toilet to flush I’m a Hilton Honors customer who will be Diamond Level by June I travel 18 nights a month I was given a room facing construction (loud) that was happening next door The fridge wasn’t clean I was told upon checkout that I would be given extra rewards points for my “trouble” but it’s been almost two weeks and that hasn’t happened, nor has a manager reached out to me A manager was there when I checked out and let them know about all the problems I definitely will not stay at this location again

So

the room was clean and comfy The staff was nice Breakfast was one of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel But, while checking in, a couple people came down to say that the room they were given was already occupied even though their keys worked, another individual voiced to us also while we were in the elevator that his key opened up a room that was occupied We had to re-clarify that our reservation was for 2 nights after we noticed the slip of paper that you receive the key had the incorrect check out date Our own keys stopped working half way through our stay, (I’m assuming our checkout date was wrong still because it stopped working right at checkout time) we had four $75 dollar incidental fees that we were told were going to drop off but couldn’t explain them We ended up staying in 2 different rooms, while in the second, we received another incidental charge for the first room We were not able to log into the wifi due to the previous guest’s name being attached to the room number Overall it seems like maybe staff members aren’t entirely trained on certain things and are struggling The pool seemed nice although we never went inside People complained about the chlorine smell but that’s what you get with an enclosed indoor pool area 🤷 Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience but it could of definitely been better

Great little hotel right on the river! Perfect for any event in the areaWe made last minute reservations just a day before we were going to check in without a single problem Great rates and easy digital check in/out

Large on-site outdoor parking lot (not gated) Staff was friendly and welcoming! The hotel had a nice swimming pool as well as a playground and outdoor gamesOnly a 10 minute walk right along the river to Spokane ArenaRooms were spacious, very clean, and seemed to be recently renovated They even had a nice/new bathroom with a walk-in glass shower and complimentary bath productsThe only “downside” was that the hotel was very busy and the hallways were loud during the day (to be expected) However, it did seem to quiet down after dark and we had no issues sleeping or anythingOverall, I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Spokane for a quick trip! Great spot, especially in the summer!

Katie Hernandez

Such a fun, affordable , enjoyable hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful The hotel had 2 outdoor pools to accommodate both ages of my children! It was a beautiful spot right next to the river Plenty of space to walk and enjoy the river

We also enjoyed the outdoor play area that had giant connect 4, corn hole and a play area for the littles Bar had a nicely priced and delicious happy hour It was a great experience We will be back!

Traveling Gypsysoul

The pool is the best part! While the hotel itself looks to have had some renovations (new paint, interior furniture, wall decor) the building itself is old and not in the best shape While checking in at 9pm out front desk agent was less than friendly and when asking questions I simply go a “I’m going to give you a paper that says everything just wait!” No early check in and no late checkout allowed durning my stay Walking into my room there was trash left on the floor just under the bed(unfortunate but not a big deal) the pool was wonderful and worth every penny to have a pool side room

We were saddened by the fact that on a Friday night the pool was not open later (only until 11) opened the following day at 9am Overall we had a comfortable stay, but had it not been for the pool…it wouldn’t have been worth the price

Ally

We chose this hotel because they were one of the only ones that has an outdoor swimming pool We were disappointed to find it is shaded by the hotel building and never got sun and it’s the size of a large hot tub so that was a bummer This hotel is disgusting, dirty and tired

It needs a major overhaul Location is great and staff were pretty nice Parking is overpriced and you have to walk really far with bags as the garage is part of the convention center Our room was extremely dated and gross The floor had a giant red stain in the middle of it The carpet was so dirty (see photos) There was garbage left behind Bobby pins on floor so who knows what else was lurking as far as germs The lounge chair was so dirty and stained and had crumbs all over it and under the cushion I just felt grossed out touching any surfaces The price was jacked up because of something going on in town so this was not at all worth the $289 nightly rate If you have extremely low cleanliness standards this might be ok for you They really need to disinfect and update this place

Heather Steinmiller

We had a lovely visit in Spokane this past week, and the DoubleTree Hotel was really nice Special shout out to the ladies at breakfast – Krystal, Sandy, and Patty They were always cheerful, friendly, and helpful

(The cook was awesome, too – always cooked my eggs over medium perfectly!) Front desk personnel were likewise wonderful, especially the young lady (whose name I didn’t get) with the glasses and short dark hair The location can’t be beat, and the proximity to the Centennial Trail is an added bonus Thank you all for everything!

Love this hotel!!! Friendly service, beautiful, clean hotel Love the location, just across from the river Plenty of lighting in the rooms, which is usually my complaint in other hotel rooms

Large rooms with plenty of storage for clothing Bathrooms had plenty of counter space with space under the counter as well They offer all the free water you want during your stay I had an issue during my stay and Taylor went above and beyond to rectify the situation Will definitely stay here again!

Elizabeth Boss

The hotel was nice, however, there was a huge party going on in the suite next to me that extended into the hallway I called “At Your Service” twice asking if there was anything they could do to get the party quieted I selected the top floor “Penthouse Suite” (which, I’m guessing there are several floors with all rooms similar) and a room at the far end from the elevator hoping it would be a quiet room

I paid extra for a room I thought would be quiet and was quite disappointed I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re part of the party

Brekyn Worbes

We really enjoyed our experience! The view of downtown was beautiful The hotel bar’s drink are absolutely amazing and the food there is delicious Our room was spacious, clean, modern design

No mini fridge or microwave but still great The showers was super cool and big Staff was friendly and eager to help Vale was well worth the little up charge The location is PERFECT Close to bars, restaurants, and the river Highly recommend!!!

We stayed here specifically because they are maybe the most dog friendly hotels in Spokane The report of this is trueWhile the hotel is a bit older- it is kept clean by the staff

They have a large indoor pool and jacuzzi and decent exercise roomThe staff was hard working and friendly- gave my Doberman treats and would stop and talk to himThe breakfast was good- about exactly what you would expect Not mind-blowing- but good (This is not a criticism- just a description )Overall good value – excellent place if your dog is traveling with you Would definitely stay here again

We stayed at the comfort Inn and Suites in Medicine Hat Albert The rooms were very nice and Sandra the general manager was great We had some issues with some rooms, we had 39 rooms booked

Sandra was very cool under the pressure of many people coming at her at once She solved all our problems in a timely manner Sandra and her staff went above and beyond to make sure that everyone had what they needed over the next 2 days The breakfast was good and they made sure that the athletes were able to take bottled water, fruits and fresh baked muffins with them every dayThank you so much,

Shantell Omalley

Very nice hotel! Upgraded us to a suite for free!! The front desk staff were friendly, easy check in! The room was clean and it was relatively quite, considering how close to the freeway you are! Great view of the valley! Easy access to the freeway and a few places to eat right across the street The spa and pool are very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed! For the price it was excellent and I would definitely recommend!

Update: They are having staff issues and new maids are doing a poor job of cleaning the rooms, the second time we came here the side table had dust all over it, the coffee maker filthy TWO maids tried barging into the room with us in it! They aren’t being taught to KNOCK and the other doesn’t understand that the “I’m busy” sign means “do not disturb” I was sleeping and she pounded on the door and literally tried to forcefully enter (!!!) even with the sign in, nowhere NEAR checkout time! Holiday Inn needs to change the wording back! Front desk apologized, promised me 5000 points for the trouble but never gave it to me! Docking a star, that is unacceptable!—The room was beautiful, newly updated

The beds were very comfortable Breakfast was good, they actually brought out some bacon for once (we stayed a long time at a different IHG hotel and they only had bacon out once a week, if that)The landscaping was gorgeous! A waterfall out front and fires going, as well as a fire pit out back for guests The pool and hot tub looked nice, my teen kids enjoyed themThe convenience shop was too pricey, though $400 for a bottle of water!

Steve Hess

This is a nice hotel I especially enjoyed the real food offered for dinner, for a chain hotel I really felt like there was a b&b vibe I feel like everyone working there was happy to have me there

Cookies even!Breakfast was typical fare, all good and plenty of itThe rooms were clean and comfortable as well The hotel was easy to get to and close to a lot of the local attractionsI will be staying here every time I’m in the area

My friend and I stayed at this hotel July 20th and July 21 2022I cannot tell you enough how absolutely perfect this hotel is (I travel frequently so I am well aware of hotels)From the cleanliness, staff and wonderful happy hour food, we could not have asked for more

Although everyone was wonderful there, I want to give extra praise to Darla who prepped the food in the evening and served it I felt like I knew her my entire life She deserves something special as your employeeI also want to take the time to tell the owners and managers that whatever they are doing to create such wonderful staff keep doing it and if possible if you could go around the US and teach this to other hotels, I would greatly appreciate itI will definitely be back I have already referred your hotel to other fellow travelers against my better judgement because now you will be booked all the time

After getting up at 5 am…then traveling for 10 hours…our check in time wasn’t until 3 pm However our room wasn’t ready until hours later But the lady who apparently works there somewhere said, “we have to be understanding” as she went out for a smoke break

Our room was dusty, but the bed was comfortable and well made We brought our own pillows, towels, and washcloths Due to Covid concernsWe do sympathy with the staff, somebody quit that day, leaving extra work for everyone If we weren’t so tired, we may have been more understanding

erasmoag

This was our first stop on our way to doing a circle through the western US, we are a family of 6 with young children, the hotel allowed us to check all in for the same room, we carry two sleeping bags and inflatable single pads for our 7 year old twins and it’s like camping for them anyways It’s good for us when hotels allow us yo do this as we are trying to stretch a dollar on our month long road tripOnly down side, the pillows were a little too firm for my liking

Wr have stayed at other hotels where they have firm and soft pillows in the room This would have been nice here

Jesse L

This place is so outdated, dirty and moldy Mold was growing on the shower curtain and hair was not cleaned off the curtain The carpets were stained and they left a vacuum in my room

The sink was cracked and the refrigerator had so much ice I could not fully open the freezer door The ac unit was fallout out of the wall The only good thing was the staff was friendly They also ran out of breakfast I was unable to check in at 4 because the rooms were not clean yet Pay more and stay someplace else

This place we were told has been renovated and it’s nice We honestly thought it was new! We laughed at the fact others stayed right across the street for almost double what this place is charging The room was clean, staff were great, breakfast was good (basic like hotels but lots), easy check in an check out, close to downtown, close to Riverfront park etc

The only down side is the pool The pool itself was refreshing The hot tub was extremely hot that we couldn’t even sit in it But the biggest issue was there is absolutely no veneration for the pool area Just a single window open It was extremely humid inside an the chemical of the pool could be smelled because of the enclosed space Posing a health issue They need to fix that Other then that I would absolutely stay here again!

Manuel Vázquez

Definitely coming back to this hotel next time I visit Spokane!Personnel is extremely friendly and polite, great pool and hot tubThere was one day on which the housekeeping person didn’t come even though we asked for it a couple days in advance, we spoke with the manager and he sincerely apologized and gave us some treats, a deck of cars and some dice We understood it was an honest mistake but he went above and beyond to make it right

Kaden Earle

The staff was nice The style of the room is very pretty however I am not happy with the cleanliness I see a lot of good reviews on here so maybe they are just having a bad day? The shower had finger prints on the glass, the elevator up to the room has boot prints on the door, by the buttons, etc

No trash bags in the cans in our room so sorry if there is wet or anything in the cans Also, front desk will tell you it’s a $2000 incidental it’s actually $4000 not a huge deal but they should tell you the correct info Lady who checked us in and out was very kind, Night Audit was a B**** probably won’t stay here again, maybe give them a second shot, we will see

This hotel is amazing

the front desk staff are top notch especially Lisa she was such a pleasant, fun lady Very roomy rooms and clean The breakfast in the morning is very good and tasty The only thing is right across the street at 7-11 is a large amount of sketchy folks I felt very safe though in the hotel as security is top priority for the guests here We will be back soon Please tell Lisa she is doing an amazing job and we enjoyed her laughter as we had small talk

Jeremy Wimer

We stayed here so we could drop our daughter off at the airport early the next morning (4:30am), as we live 2 hours awayThe staff was very friendly, the entire hotel was very clean, and the rooms were comfortableWe actually came back after dropping off our daughter and slept a couple more hours before checking out

We opted to go out to breakfast (had a special destination in mind since we were visiting from out of town), but the full breakfast on site smelled amazingConvenient location and easy to findWe will definitely stay here again

Easy access to I5 & everything that downtown has to offer I wasn’t sure about it when I got there because of the homeless/addicts everywhere around the hotel, but I felt very safe & comfortable The room I was checked in to smelled like old smoke that housekeeping tried to rid of with some deodorizer spray, but it was still very strong

The front desk guy moved me to a different room right away without questions/hesitation, and it was much better The breakfast options were not something I normally eat, and I was disappointed in the absence of fruit

Stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Spokane Valley a couple weeks ago We were in town for work and it seemed pretty centrally located Super easy to get on to the interstate and really close to a couple streets that will take you straight into downtown if you want to stay off the highway

Room was standard, no problems; really it was a bit expensive for what it is The front desk people were great, no complaintsSpokane isn’t “dirty” but there are sketchy folks all over There was a guy “fighting a tree”, screaming, bleeding a bit and yelling at anybody who came close to him Nobody wanted to help and nobody wanted to call police either I don’t have the answers, but it was odd to me that the behavior was considered okay on hotel property I was a little worried about the rental car, but we made sure it was properly empty every nightThe breakfast in the morning was okay at best If you are just going to put out cereal, yogurt and fruit, so be it But if you venture into hot food like breakfast burritos, at least make sure they aren’t god awfulAll and all, the hotel itself is fine We certainly paid too much At that kind of price, we wouldn’t stay there again

I want to start by saying this hotel is amazing! We were on our way to Silverwood and called pretty early if there was any room available which we were told they did Check in was super fast, we were able to change and take a quick break before our adventure The next day we interacted with our housekeeper Melissa, she was the best experience we had! Told my kids how they can swim at the pool, we bumped into her later and gave us a recommendation on how to drink hot chocolate

Needless to say we will be back because of the great staff and amazing customer service!

A very friendly hotel that goes out of its way to cater to guests More than you would expect from a hotel in this price range It’s not a cookie cutter floor plan

There are rooms that open to a patio with a water fountain, putting green, and outdoor lounging Other suites have an outdoor entrance directly to the parking lot and dog walk The staff keeps refreshments available throughout the day The breakfast dining area has both indoor and shaded outdoor seating The rooms have been updated recently with modern accents

This is an older Residence Inn that’s surely due for a renovation It’s about on par with other Residence Inns in that same category, as a building Maybe a little better

However based on the other reviews here, and given our Marriott loyalty status (Platinum, at the time), I’m quite certain we were given one of their better roomsIt’s uncommon for me that exceptionally good staff make up for an otherwise low quality experience, but that was the case here The experience wasn’t *that* low quality, but IMO, it didn’t match the price The staff here, though, as the other reviews would confirm, is truly exceptional I’d prefer the welcome feeling here over a cheaper experience at a different place on most daysThanks for an overall good stay We might just come back at some point in the future-Full time traveler, guy who left a package of salad dressing there and never picked it up

The hotel decor color and style is appealing to my eyes We appreciated the shape of our room, layout of furniture and size of room (King + fold out couch bed)

The front desk lady was nice and courteousThe indoor pool remains open until 11pmBreakfast goes until 10am :)The hotel is easy to find and not too far off the main hwy; but the hwy cannot be heard from our room

This was a comfortable stay just outside of Spokane The location is easy to get to and you are close to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores The staff was especially accommodating, even going out of their way to make sure we were taken care of

We needed an early check-in on our arrival, and both Jake and Sarai made sure we were able to do that We really felt like “guests” Also, Jenny at the front desk was super friendly and was able to quickly help me sort out a technical issue with the TV in our roomOverall, this was a great stay, and we will definitely be back next time we are in Spokane

We enjoyed our stay here so much! Our first day we were so tired we thought we would take a quick rest before our dinner plans, the bed was so comfortable we slept for a couple hours We slept very well, the bed was so comfortable, the suite was clean and spacious, the kitchen was well stocked minus one minor detail- it had a toaster, a dishwasher, a colander, a coffee pot

but no coffee cups We thought it was comical and just snagged a paper one from the lobby Again, the bed was amazing, the linens were top notch Their breakfast was also pretty good Lots to choose from Our run-ins with staff were quite minimal because we didn’t need anything but we were greeted with a smile every time we entered or exited We would definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is understaffed and has made the decision to only clean rooms after the 4th night stay The elevators smell like animals and due to the A/C not working in the common areas, the smell is intensified During our 3 night stay they did not clean the common area floors even though they were full of mud footprints and something spilled in the elevator

Sunday 8/14/22 breakfast was unpleasant No plates, spoons or coffee – the scrambled eggs were refilled into an old pan with baked on old eggs The beds were very good but be ready to empty your own trash, make your own beds, and change out your towels yourself I recommend bringing your own cleaning supplies as they will not provide those There are no towels at the pool so bring your own Take someone tall with you to use the spa as your key will not work (reach over fence and open gate) and be careful because the spa rail is broken (there is a sign saying use at your own risk) The ice machine for ice chests is broken The A/C unit in the suite (we had one for hearing impaired) is so loud that those of us who can hear had to wear earplugs to sleep Check the closets for used linens in the laundry basket Management says they are understaffed due to COVID – they are understaffed due to poor management The hotel could be wonderful but it is not as of our trip from 8/12 through 8/15 If you like to spend $700 per night in an unclean, smelly environment – this is the place! Otherwise, seek another hotel in the area

Hotel was nice King suite stated it “could” sleep 4, but it reality its 3 Unless you have one person sleep on a tiny chaise lounger

Food was what I would expect, hotel food Biggest complaint was complete lack of ANY housekeeping Housekeeping is suppose to be every 4th day, but they didn’t touch our room When I asked about it, they told me that they just weren’t going to clean our room
