Disclaimer- my son reserved the room and checked me in due to time constraints I had a double king size room with a full kitchen The room and bathroom appeared clean

Here are the things I didn’t like- the bathroom had individual bottles of soap, etc I was hoping it had the shower units that had shampoo, etc like other hotels I’ve stayed at The kitchen had nothing in it, it was completely bare The refrigerator was an apartment size but adequate The kitchen had a four chair square table Housekeeping staff were friendly but did not empty trash cans when the towels were refreshed On to the breakfast- it was okay It had scrambled eggs, sausage links or paper thin bacon, potato cubes that had an odd taste, a waffle machine, cereal, biscuits and gravy, bagels, different juices, and coffee I had breakfast at the hotel once during my stay Side note- there is a Starbucks next door (didn’t go there) There were many times I passed the front desk and there was no one there The ground floor area by the elevator had a funny smell, I couldn’t place what it was There was one elevator and the Housekeeping staff used it to move around the building which is no biggie except when I was waiting for the elevator and a housekeeper came out of the elevator not looking to see if anyone was waiting in her path We almost collided Overall my stay wasn’t bad

Susan Taylor

Very clean, BJ is very nice, front desk service is great! Best breakfast ever, lots of choices, real food! They have biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, waffles you make yourself, cereal, yogurt, bagels the list is endless amazing! The pool and hot tub are clean and work well! The only if you thing was the room with the jetted tub, the jets could have worked a little better! Not enough pressure I guess

Gemini Love

11/13/2021: At first I loved the room! Until I woke up the next morning to find a dead roach on the floor next to the bed my 7 year old son was sleeping on The hot tub was great but the pool was waaaaay to cold!!!! I thought I was going to catch hypothermia!!!!! I didn’t get up early enough for breakfast but who could eat after seeing a dead roach in your room anyways!!!! The hotel prices are to high to be charging people to stay with roaches!!!!! I would have stayed here again if they didn’t have roaches!!!! Hotel staff did confirm with me that they knew they had them when I checked out They informed me the hotel gets sprayed once a month and that I didn’t have to stay there that next time I could stay in a different hotel if I wasn’t satisfied

Pretty rude to say to a paying customer!!!! I booked this hotel on the Priceline app From now on I will be staying at BEACHFRONT PALMS HOTEL in Galveston when I visit Houston!

This hotel was clean and cheap The location is ok, but nothing is really walkable For the price it is not bad

This place is a bit worn and dated There is obvious wear and tear in the room and my hairdryer died after being on for 5 secondsIf you are going to the Houston Space Center, it is only an 8 minute driveAlso, there is a souvenir shop next door to the hotel with space stuff at 1/3 the cost of the HSC gift shopThe pool is under construction and looks like it is a ways out from being done The neighborhood is a little roughThe towels are classic for a small inexpensive hotel (think and small)Beds were comfy and the AC worked well even if it was a bit noisyThis is a good spot for inexpensive solo travel

Craig Mitchell

Deven, the GM, was a great help!He offered us the cards to the two rooms we were considering so we could make a educated decision Our room was great and even included a towel animal! After we left Deven called me an said I had left a pillow! Above and beyond service! I will stay here again!

Melissa Palomino

I chose this hotel solely based on the reviews and I did not call the hotel to ask additional questions Everyone was right, Deven definitely provides excellent service and that is a big plus He goes above and beyond for his guests

The location was perfect for us as it was close to Galveston, Kemah and downtown Houston The rooms were clean, spacious and cleaned daily The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast It was not a true continental breakfast like previous comments mentioned All we had to choose from was Nature Made breakfast bars, Rice Krispy treats, fruits, juice, and coffee For the price we paid per night, I feel that it could have had more options like comparable hotels nearby I would still recommend it and consider staying there again in the future

Really nice hotel! Stayed here for one night prior to our cruise from Galveston The hotel itself is very modernized with comfy beds/pillows, great shower pressure and very friendly staff We were even offered chocolate chip cookies upon arrival

Plus they offer a free shuttle service from the airport The breakfast was pretty good too The only downside is the area isn’t great However, if you are looking for a nice hotel that’s close to the airport, I would recommend staying here!

Tiffany Winton

Excellent experience, stay, and shuttle service! We arrived fairly late in the evening the night before our cruise I called the hotel, and they quickly came to pick up my husband and I Beds were vet comfortable, room exceptionally clean and updated, and showers that run hot for quite a while

Keurig in the room, and a nice breakfast as well They even provided shuttle service to the location we were to catch the shuttle at the airport Overall pleasant experience and staff I will definitely return

sara langton

The rooms were beautiful They were very clean and spacious The bed was extremely comfortable

This place is priced perfectly It is clean, comfortable, and the staff is friendlyMy room was spacious and the bed was comfortable

I got a suite and quite honestly, the layout was awesomeWireless internet connectivity was solid and I could easily maintain a strong connection for multiple devices! The only reason I deducted 1 star is because it is a bit dated (in appearance) This is not a big deal for me but it may be for others so it bears mentioningKeep up the great work Homewood Suites!

K C

No toilet paper, then when we asked we were told they had it locked up, and could only give 1 roll (we were told they only had 2 rolls left for the entire hotel

umm then call someone? Or go to Wal-Mart?) Only 2 towels on the room, for our whole family Only 1 bar of soap, no shampoo/conditioner But the room is actally awesome and has a separate bedroom from the TV area, and a whole kitchen area like a small apartment Room was hot but cool down quickly Looks pretty clean

Dirty and smelled bad They charged my card and extra $9083

This is not the $25 security fee When I asked why I was charged extra they said their system just does that randomly and they would refund me It’s been three days and the transaction is still on my card When I call they say there is nothing they can do about it Stayed here for work and 4 other coworkers got the extra charge as well Do not stay here

Had a wonderful stay at this Holiday Inn Room was clean and bed was extra comfy!Rooms are very quiet, didn’t hear a door close all night! Staff was extremely nice and helpful Location is easy to get to

Pool area very nice! Whirlpool nice and HOT!Would definitely stay again!

M V

This is unfortunately the worst Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever visitedUnfriendly front desk staff, massive parties in their tiny pool was left unchecked by staff, disgusting poo left uncleaned in the lobby restroom, our room was never cleaned and poorly maintained I overlooked all this, but the “breakfast”, dear lord

this was missing the most basic things like butter and just simple variety No waffles, no bacon, no choices just a very simple selection that one would find at a QT gas station I’m a simple guy to please, but even I couldn’t wait to get out of there Their printer didn’t even work to give me a receipt so I just left Way too overpriced and certainly NOT a three-star hotel!!! I think I’ll try another hotel chain next time

Sean M

Very nice The room was large and spacious Everything was clean

In particular, I found the pillow especially comfortable, and enjoyed the large window in my roomI would say this hotel was worth the money

My family and I had a great visit here The staff was extremely helpful in getting my us rooms for the night at such short notice Anything we asked for at the front desk, they surprisingly had

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms were very cold, which made for a comforting experience, especially in this Texas heat! They also had plenty of options for breakfast, which was the highlight of my stay! Waffles, cereal, omelettes, and a great variety of juices I had a great stay here and will definitely return!

J T

Stayed here for four days and had a wonderful stay Every person I came across at the front desk was super friendly and very welcoming The hotel was next to a steakhouse that looked pretty popular

Location was great Shells gas station next door and shopping centers, restaurants and entertainment no more then about 20mins on the same street as hotel The pool was nice, warm and clean The pool is small and anyone could just walk up to get in it for you don’t need a key card It is a six person maximum Not sure if that’s due to COVID or cause it’s small My kids got up early to swim and enjoyed it Breakfast was good and had good choices for everyone The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice They have an area to take your dog out to Handicap parking and diamond members parking The walls are a little thin I did hear a dog barking early this morning and some kids playing loudly Other then that I would definitely stay here again

Robby Melancon

The stay here was nice and peaceful The room was clean and the bed comfy, if a little firm for my tastes We enjoyed spending some time in the pool and always appreciate a hot breakfast – eggs and sausage and waffles, plus omelettes and a terrific selection of pastries, cereals, and fruit

A very big shoutout to Patricia and Sergio – they both went out of their way to make sure we had a stellar visit and they really exceeded expectations In fact, every team member I met left ,e with a smile and a spring in my step I regret not getting the name of the lady who checked us out and the team member from Housekeeping that kept us supplied in towels and soap, but Sergio let me know he would pass on my gratitude for their terrific service10/10 will stay here again – great place, safe, with some of the best cracklin’s this LA boy has had and I found them in a gas station in Pearland, TXgo figure

My family stayed here for 2 nights and we thought it was a nice, clean, and well serviced hotel The breakfast was decent, we weren’t expecting a whole lot, but it was good Good selection of breakfast options

The room was good too It was clean, tidy and spacious We were a little puzzled by the layout There seemed to be a closet that was renovated into a room with a toilet and a corner sink And the bathtub and full sink was in another little room Despite the weird layout, we were happy with the our stay here At check in, Randy was nice and friendly and helped us with all our needs and questions We’d definitely stay again!

Alonis Novak

Stayed for a few days Cleaning only happened on 1 day out of 3 which was disappointing Even so the cleaning was haphazard with water on thr floor and clearly rushed

I needed to get fresh towels for my stay from the front desk When I called I was told to pick up the towels from the front desk but when I went downstairs no one was there After waiting at the desk for about 5 minutes I went back up to my room I called again 15 minutes later At first no one picked up After repeated calls I got the same person who told me to come down again After some ruffling around she brought me an incomplete set of towels Additionally the hotel is showing signs of aging The elevators make disturbing groaning and popping noises while it’s they move agonizingly slow The shower and bathroom facets were corroded While the room decor and arrangement were nice the mini fridge isn’t suitable for anything except chilling drinks Any leftovers or food won’t get cold enough to ensure adequate food safety There were also several stains on the corridor carpeting and it appeared that the hotel catered to the staycation party crowd On the plus side the AC worked phenomenally well and the rooms were soundproof aside from the occasional guest slamming doors in the hallway

I have stayed there several times now and will continue to as it’s a great location & the rooms and beds are very comfortable and a nice sizeThere is also a nice size parking lot available with your stayThe staff at the front desk are ALL always very friendly and helpful and remember me now

I would like to give a particular thank you to Jennifer who went above and helped me out this time especiallyI had accidentally booked the Springhill Suites/NASA in Seabrook (I had no idea there was one) & she went out of her way to get my booking moved and my accomodations taken care at this correct location She was very professional & helpful and I must add handled many tasks and visitors at one time I really appreciated her!

Very impressed with my stay here! The studio rooms are great – you get a kitchen sink, dishwasher, fridge, and two-burner stove which was all new and clean The room was spacious and the staff was friendly Best part about my stay was the breakfast – delicious food and tons of options

The coffee was very good tooThe hotel is a bit removed from downtown, but for the price it was worth staying 20m outside of Houston

Hykeem Woody

Manager Teresa was an excellent host and maintained great customer service throughout the duration of my stay She made sure that everything was taken care of and trained her staff on the whim to care for guests at an exceptional level Hotel was clean and located in a great place for traveling experiences to be maximized

Also, Abraham was the best clerk when it came to getting things handled promptly I’d recommend this property to future travelers for sure

1) Stayed there 2 different stints, 2 days each and saw 3 roaches One in each room and one scurrying about in the hall

The disturbing thing is they say if you see roaches, there are probably many more you don’t see2) Hair on the bathroom floor in several spots, floor was not cleaned in the bathroom as other debris was there Really, floor not cleaned in the bathroom??3) Dirty glass and dirty coffee cup I could remove the coffee stain with my finger so clearly the cup was not cleaned, probably just rinsed out Smudge prints on outside of glass so that was not cleaned also4) Had to remove the shampoo dispenser from the wall to remove the top just to get shampoo out in one room and soap ran out of dispenser in the other room5) Microwave in room did not work; kept tripping the breaker in the room I seriously doubt it just went out right before I got there I full well expected one to be in the kitchen only to find out I had to ask the front desk person to microwave dinner in the employee area How can they not have a public microwave? As you can see, all of these show a serious lack of attention to the room itself and 3 of those relate to simple, basic cleanliness I have been traveling extensively for work since 2010 and have never stayed in a Marriott as badly managed and neglected as this one This is a management issue at the hotel itself, accepting substandard behavior by the cleaning staff and not following up to ensure the rooms are cleaned properly Pay a few extra dollars and stay at another Marriott

We only stayed here for 1 night but it was great Check in was quick and easy The room was very clean and well stocked with anything we might need

The bed was very comfortable and had both soft and firm pillows The breakfast was great as well with both hot and cold options Check out is 12pm which is nice and keeps you from feeling rushed We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend staying here!

Tammerriol Smith

There were ample towels but no towel racks in the room The room was pleasant & clean The key cards did not always work

Had to replace ours & so did other guests There are no adult hours at the pool, so we had to share the pool & hot tub with the children By the time the kids got out, 9:45 – 9:50 & a few childless adults got in, we were promptly chased out @ 10:00 They do welcome pets though & although we didn’t partake they appeared to offer a really great breakfast The dining area was packed every morning

Kim Cam

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE who works for Staybridge goes above and beyond for their guestsThe breakfast team learned of my daughter’s allergies and every morning of our stay prepared a special bowl of fruit for herThe dinner team kept me laughing

They are never too busy to socialize with the guestsThe variety of meals is awesome! The front desk staff is fabulous and so very kindOur room was more than we could have hope for or imagine So clean The beds feel like heaven, the shower is perfect for practicing operatic solos, and the suite itself was actually r o o m y! We had space to relax and not get in each other’s way! Did I mention, clean?!My kids said they felt like they were on a cruise The only thing that messed with the cruise comparison is that we had to go to school/work everyday Ha!

I stayed here this past weekend and I have to say everything was just lovely I was staying with my daughter, her husband and baby so we reserved a 2 room suite, the hotel offered to let us use a pack and play free of charge while there so that my grandson could sleep The pack and play was new, like it had never been used which was wonderful

The staff was so welcoming and nice, the breakfast was delicious! I really enjoyed the quiches for breakfast! First time staying at a Residence Inn but it will not be my last! Thank you for a pleasurable stay!

Michelle Solomon

Residence Inn have not changed one bit from the early 2000’s when I was traveling for work It’s 2022 a lot needs to changeHere is my list of concerns

1 The first room couch bed was broken and the room smelled like mildew, we requested a different room2 The second room smelled the same as the first one, so that tells me they don’t service each ac unit regularly and with covid still prevalent, it needs maintenanced at least every other week3 The rooms are outdated even though they added stainless steel appliances to have it appear updated4 The Marriott name when it comes to Residence Inn is being tarnished all because it appears that upper management doesn’t care about making sure the customers keep coming back to The Residence Inn5 The only reason I even stayed here is due to someone else paying for it The last time I stayed, my team had to be moved to another hotel6 I have a proposal for Marriott/Residence Innif you need assistance with rebranding I am more than willing to assistfor a fee7 Today, you need to be brought up to standards so you can stay in competition with the likes of Hilton and their brand

Matha Goram

The small team of dedicated and hardworking staff can only do so much when their hands are tiedThe age of the place can be deduced by the soiled carpets, chipped furniture and non-existent pest control servicesThe breakfast was a joke compounded by the failure to label the ingredients of the prepared food to assist those with allergy or dietary concerns

Wins the race for the worst Residence Inn experience in 35 years!

The best part of my stay was when the staff member Aremecia(I believe that’s her name) went out of her way to accommodate me She was a sweet older lady with curly hair I originally booked one night and decided to stay a second night after arriving

I was originally told I had to check out and then check in to get another room and that I could not keep the same room I was told I had to do this book because I booked with a 3rd party I asked for early check in and I was told it was not possible I knew it was last minute so I understood The next day when checking out, this sweet lady found a way to check me in early, offered me to stay in the same room and accommodated all my needs She made it seem like it was no problem at all She was definitely inconvenienced to make these arrangements for me and I could tell she had to move things around for us, but it really made our day go so much smoother Because of her, my stay went from good to EXCELLENT It is service like this you don’t see too much nowadays and that is why it was so extra special She is the only reason why I decided to write this review

Pros: First off don’t listen to the bad reviews on the breakfast Very good full breakfast A+ Crispy bacon, fresh eggs, and cubed potatoes, decent French toast

Great stay overall Comfortable king bed and comfy sheets Nice showerCons: tiny cold pool Very dirty jacuzzi

Miguel Garcia

Location and rooms were good But, breakfast is not included in the room price, unless you pay a higher room price If you have breakfast, you must pay $14

99 + tax There is also an additional 17% charge during the month of June and July Ironically, I was not informed of these when I booked my reservation Other than that, the hotel stay was good

Reasonable for the price but I agree with many of the comments here The room was clean, decent for the cost, and just what I needed for one night The individual at the front desk seemed to question that I checked in on the app, and I didn’t see any staff wearing masks — if that is something you are looking for

Rooms are dated/dark, and mine only had a view of the central roof and a wall Breakfast was nice but the raisin bran dispenser didn’t work at all I appreciated the selection I didn’t experience any noise or other issues Pool looked well taken care of but very small

The not so good points: The room had a musty smell The carpet looks old The bathroom edges are rough

the water leaks out sower curtain Add glass doors to the tub area The sink in the bathroom looks very old the bathroom could use a good paint jobGood points, the AC was great The bed was comfortable I enjoyed premium channels on Dish the desk and extra couch with table were very good The refrigerator kept my water cold!! and you had a hair dryer which is always a plus I did like the curtains, nice black out from the sun especially in the morningsThe breakfast was good I had 1 waffle and eggs the coffee was good too I enjoyed the sitting area I don’t think the sitting area gets enough attention, tables and chairs were dirty I did not get to enjoy the pool this time but i will be back in October and hope to have time then Thank you

To start with the good

the room was clean The breakfast was ok, meaning it was ok, not great but could at least eat I paid for a premium room which should have given me faster internet and complimentary snacks daily This did not happen I had to request daily snack refill which did not happen until I complained then only happened after I complained agian which was still during my 6 day stay, yes 6 days So beware, if you book premium you will only get substandard room service

If you will be staying in the room next to the laundry beware every time someone is doing laundry the room will shake I literally freaked out since I was in the room alone with my 2 children had to called the front desk to ask if an earthquake was reported or what was going on It would have been nice to be warned about it or even better asked if we didn’t mind If I could add a video to this review I would

Great, friendly hotel – especially if you have pets I love that the housekeeping is opt-in instead of opt-out Made me feel so much more comfortable staying here with my cats

Bed was super comfy Staff was helpful & friendly Digital check-in option was great The only thing that could have been better was available restaurants in the area for food delivery I came in after 10pm on a Sunday and there were no good options to deliver in a reasonable timeframe

An excellent place to stay! Extremely clean and a well equipped room especially for families (microwave, dishwasher and fridge) Comfortable beds; spacious; clean bathrooms and a clean environment Let’s not forget about the amazing breakfast selection

Definitely a spot to come back to and relax Hats off to the friendly staff and the cleaning crew for keeping the place a wonderful place to come back to

Breakfast for self serve was surprisingly good Food was hot and fresh They also served turkey sausage! Hot coffee (only medium roast) hot chocolate tea and variety of juices

We got the larger room with king bed Love the large shower I didn’t use any “extra services” during my stay but kitchen and check in staff were helpful and courteous

I have to say that I was horrified by the state of my room I checked in late in the evening after a day of long travel form outside Texas Always satisfied with my Hilton experience, I didn’t feel the need to check the room before going to bed

What I woke up to is beyond comprehension and an experience that I have never had at any Hilton property1 I noticed stains on the bottom sheet of my bed They were faint, but they were distinct faded yellow stains on one side of the bottom sheet2 On the floor, near the desk, there were several morsels of dog food3 In the bathroom, one of the towels was stained with either lipstick or bloodThis is completely unacceptable When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told she was unavailable and give her email address Even after I mentioned the state of my room, the housekeeping staff didn’t come to clean the room nor was I offered a different room I contacted Hilton Customer service and they referred me back to the local team It’s troublesome to know that in a world where we are dealing with Covid and proper cleaning is essential, this housekeeping team has fallen way below the Hilton global standard I checked out early and went to another hotel
