My family stayed here recently The breakfast was extensive and included with our room The coffee needs improvement but they had plenty of other beverages on offer

The rooms are spacious, come with an almost full kitchen (no oven), but definitely helps save money when you can cook for yourself The bed and pillow were extremely comfortable I liked the shower, but it’s not ideal for small kids who are used to a bath The towels were luxurious I would also complain about the toilet paper It’s not on par with the quality of the hotel Loved our stay in this quiet hotel

Victoria Briars

My stay here was nothing short of amazing! The staff was welcoming; and my room was very clean and modern along with the entire hotel It was fairly new and for the price, they definitely exceeded my expectations

The breakfast bar consisted of multiple options such as: waffles, oatmeal with special toppings, eggs (hard boiled & scrambled), sausage, bacon, pastries, pineapples, cantaloupe, cereal, coffee, tea, and juice The rooms have fully stocked kitchens (dishes, glasses, utensils, detergent, dishwasher, full-sized fridge, etc) a small sectional, most comfty beds with firm and soft pillows, and resemble a studio apartment – love, love, love 😍😍 There is a cute little gym and outside pool area that was quite crowded when I visited The area itself was decent and close to multiple shopping centers I will definitely return! Keep up the great work staff! 😊

Brand new (only four months now) hotel with awesome facilities – an outdoor pool, free laundry, fitness center, family room, outdoor BBQ Rooms are nice and we’ll equipped My family stayed in a two bedroom suite and had our own kitchen

My only complaint would be that the water pressure is a little low in the showers so it takes longer to wash Other than that, everything was awesome and I would recommend

I had the privilege of staying here for 10 weeks during my internship The area is safe and lively and full of nice restaurants and people Hotel has terrific staff who will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable and happy

There was a time when my room needed maintenance and they happily gave me a separate room to stay in for the night so that I could sleep comfortably Maintenance and housekeeping are exceptional and do their work with 110% effort with zero complaints The people who work here made the stay excellent Simply Sonesta has set the bar high for high quality service and staff 10/10 recommend this place for extended stay or even a few days!

PLEASE READ IF CONSIDERING A STAY:(specific examples below)This hotel is not a “surprise find” in a decent area of town In spite of the surrounding area being full of decent establishments (Taste of Texas is one of Houston’s finest), this hotel is an absolute dump Between the “hourly” rentals, the total lack of upkeep, and the non-existent accounting to know what room is occupied or not, there is nothing redeeming here except a low price

Even then, I can assure you you’ll receive less than the value you payWe had 5 rooms for 2 nights during a work trip When we checked in, there was a conversation happening with police and what appeared to be a newly former tenant, judging by the piles of possessions surrounding him Check in was as expected However, after receiving our keys and getting to our rooms, TWO of them were already occupied by “guests” Fortunately, nothing beyond embarrassment and surprise were discovered on the other side of the door After the initial shock of walking in on other people in what you assume will be a clean room, we went back downstairs to address the issue The employee at the front desk apologized, but made the comment “that shouldn’t be the case”, inferring the rooms should not be occupied MAJOR RED FLAG! At this point, two new keys were given Upon opening the door to one of the room, the carpet in the room was wet Not just a little damp like a recent water spill, but wet like a leak had gone undiscovered for awhileAt this point, we had already had enough to know this place, and the impossible to be true Google rating and hotelscom reviews, was beyond unacceptableWe walked down to the front desk, explained the water issue and simply asked if we could cancel our rooms entirely The front desk agent certainly agreed/apologized and said he’d refund our payment for the rooms and cancel them immediately We left and found a different hotel, thinking we’ve got 60 minutes of wasted time and a bizarre story to tell… Not the caseThe hotel has still NOT refunded our payment and continued to refuse to do so, citing “cancellation rules” Not only did they lie when they said they’d refund our payment upon cancellation, they will continue to take your money, send you through the ringer of a terrible experience, and have no issues claiming “it’s the rules”STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! BUT TRULY, DON’T

Cath BD

We stayed here for 13 weeks Had minor issues with the AC during the 1st week but they were prompt addressing itOur overall stay was great

Our room was cleaned weekly with fresh supply of towels, linens and some cleaning supplies Everyone was great We felt safe all the time Will definitely refer to my friends

Rooms are large and spacious Having a full sized fridge, dishwasher, and half stove is wonderful Pillows and bed were marvelous

Only two issues: they seemed to have run out of towels on our second day during the stay, and there was a small bug on the counter in our room when we checked in Would have been 5 stars if not for those two issues

Marlena Omotayo

Room smelled like smoke and mildew I told the front desk and asked to be moved to another room, “we don’t have any more rooms Let me go to the room to check it out” he came back down and told me he sprayed the room

(It really didn’t help much) I found mold on the curtain above the a/c The bed headboard had greasy smudges maybe from someone head and hands in multiple places Same thing on the closet doors Mold in the shower I booked for 3 nights and no one came to clean my room Went down to the front desk to ask why, they told me on weekends they don’t clean rooms and if they do you have to ask and it will be a light dusting No one told me this on my first day and even so, that’s terrible service to not clean at least once No one answered the phone when i called to ask for towels I had to pick them up from downstairs and no one apologized I truly wish I would’ve stayed in a different hotel because I felt nasty being there Only thing that gave me relief was the breakfast

I came to Houston for vacation and stayed at this hotel for an entire week I was placed in a hearing impaired suite, which was very clean and well maintainedPros for this Hotel are location, cleanliness, excellent staff and free breakfast

Cons were that the water pressure was low, with the hot water not working very well in both the kitchen and bathroom sinks My keycard also never seemed to work on the first few attemptsThe excellent location and friendly staff was what made my visit very enjoyable I would not hesitate to book this hotel in the future

Elvis Ruiz

Stayed here for a competition with my family The hotel looks like it was designed by Ikea, so yay! The room was clean and efficiently laid out The staff was friendly and professional

The breakfast was on par with most free hotel breakfasts I ask the hotel and Hilton in general, to pay more attention to sustainability Using styrofoam plates and single use plastic utensils and cups is no bueno

Justin Ofor

I wish i saw a 0, I would have scored you a 0, my experience was horrible, after booking through a third party for 6days, on my final day i missed my flight and requested for an extension which was done for me, went out came back to see the room cleaned all my stuffs were taken off including my anointing oili spoke to a front desk staff who put me through to the manager and we ended the call on a cordial note, but was rudely called by the same front desk officer and she started telling stuffs that i couldn’t understand, i told her to calm down that there was no need for her giving me attitude, next thing she said i going to check you out and i should leave the property, i said no and demanded to speak to her manager, next thing she did was to called the police on me, that was very scary and traumatic, i was eventually asked to leave by the policeit was really a sad day for me!!!I will never come to any home2 or Hilton subsidiary hotel again

The desk clerk was friendly Well lit parking lot, felt like a safe area Rooms were very spacious and clean, bed comfy enough, but walls are thin

You can hear outside noise Luckily, it was minimal during our stay I liked the toiletry options and the mirror The remote control was duct taped together, but the AC definitely worked! About $75 for the nightI didn’t hate it I could sleep there again if needed

Robert Sean McMurtrie

It was okay

unfortunately the “included” breakfast is a complete joke, and we got the feeling they were using covid as an excuse to NOT deliver We did get free beer each evening during ‘happy hour’ hence not giving an even lower ratingThe rooms are spacious although they are a bit “tired” and could do with some improvement We had a family suite with an additional room but sadly no cutlery or crockery and could therefore not use the kitchenetteThe location is great, we had easy and quick access to all the places we needed to visit

Chris McMillon

At face value, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the price was reasonable But I won’t be staying here again because they skimp on the coffee, and the man in reception was absolutely miserable, and did not seem to appreciate my presence there at all He frowned, hardly spoke, and made me uncomfortable

A smile costs nothing and personality goes a long ways

Stayed for about 3 weeks while I was transitioning into Katy Donna is a very nice and attentive manager, she will help with whatever with she can and truly cares The cleaning ladies are very nice and accommodating, cleaning the room and even organizing belongings while I was gone without anything going missing

Some of the riff raff in the area can sort of drift into the parking lot, but just stay to yourself and there’s no issue

Ann

You get what you pay for Very poor service Stains on sheets, walls dingy, chipping paint, etc

They only serve breakfast till 9:30am – my sister and I went down at 9:03am, there was NO food We asked the front desk to help get more food He told us they only refill from 6am-9am and I told him that it’s clearly posted that breakfasts is until 9:30am He only went to get bread and packaged honey buns and that they will not make more eggs or sausage He said “we refilled twice already this morning” as if that is my issue People even came after us and he still didn’t bring anything out They’re just wanting to save money and not provide breakfast for all of the guests The parking lot is full of cars and rooms booked, they know they should accommodate for the amount of guests they booked

Daniel Cloud

Would rate lower if price wasn’t so low and location so convenient Room was ok Some things weren’t quite finished when remodeling

There was a strange red splatter on the wall that looked suspiciously like blood Maybe ketchup🤷? There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign, so the maids entered your room whether you like it or not in the morning This only matters if you stay more than one night Breakfast was atrocious – it’s first come, first serve If you aren’t there as soon as it’s laid out, you don’t get anything It’s not replenished Fruit juice was obviously expired and bitter and a strangely dark color Waffle batter was watery and unusable Coffee was weak Only the prepackaged stuff and cereal was any goodThere are other better hotels in the area, but again, the price is super low If you just need somewhere to rest your weary bones, this MOTEL is sufficient I say motel, because the room doors face outside

For the Marriott bonvoy members they forgot the promotions even when the website says that you qualify And you ask them and they say they’re going to talk with the manager about it but never got a responseFor my status of Marriott bonvoy I was able to upgrade the room where I was staying and I asked them but they said one thousand excuses

AnywayIf your expecting stay one month there and get the taxes back after that that’s not going to happen 2 times I staid more than one month and they came out with excuses like the stay was made of two reservationsThe breakfast used to be really good Now it’s just fineThere’s just one washer available in the laundry roomThe rooms are very decent but needs maintenanceThe patio and umbrella area need attention, always dirtyThey appliances to lend at the front desk it’s not more than one small pan No blender no anything elseThe front desk people, Anthony is very nice also Raquel The rest of the crew, got zero on costumer serviceThe housekeeper are very nice, educated and helpfulBut in general the place has potential but needs to be exploded

John Doe

Beware of cockroaches and unpleasant staff members! This is not your average Towneplace Suites The location is wonderful and the hotel is in good condition Unfortunately, the front desk staff and the BREAKFAST LADY is very unpleasant! In fact, every single day the breakfast lady was rude to us

We have never experienced such moody attitude in any other Towneplace Suites The front desk people were very cold and they are constantly playing on their cell phones and easily irritated when approached All in all this was a very unpleasant experience We will never stay here again and there are plenty of options in this area for hotels

Owner or operator is rude Hung up on me I still came in to rent a room and was treated like a criminal

I understand the rules He didn’t need to belittle me by repeating and berating meCalled just now with a question about weekly rates and was rude again and rushed to hang up I will not be backThe room is a good size, really nice bathroom but the mattress was so hard and uncomfortable

Deborah Spruill

I stayed in this motel for 4 nights The men at the front desk were very polite and accommodating They were continuously asking if everything was OK and to let them know if I needed anything

The rooms were very nice and clean The housekeepers were very friendly and professional I stayed in a room for the handicap The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable A microwave, refrigerator and coffee at the front desk are very convenient for long stays The only draw back that I experienced was the breakfast that was offered in the mornings It would have been nice to have had more choices There was not anything there for a diabetic to eat Something with protein would have been nice instead of just cereal and pastries All in all this was a wonderful experience I definitely would stay there again The rooms had no odors as most motels do I was extremely happy with the whole experience

I stayed here this past weekend and I have to say everything was just lovely I was staying with my daughter, her husband and baby so we reserved a 2 room suite, the hotel offered to let us use a pack and play free of charge while there so that my grandson could sleep The pack and play was new, like it had never been used which was wonderful

The staff was so welcoming and nice, the breakfast was delicious! I really enjoyed the quiches for breakfast! First time staying at a Residence Inn but it will not be my last! Thank you for a pleasurable stay!

Michelle Solomon

Residence Inn have not changed one bit from the early 2000’s when I was traveling for work It’s 2022 a lot needs to changeHere is my list of concerns

1 The first room couch bed was broken and the room smelled like mildew, we requested a different room2 The second room smelled the same as the first one, so that tells me they don’t service each ac unit regularly and with covid still prevalent, it needs maintenanced at least every other week3 The rooms are outdated even though they added stainless steel appliances to have it appear updated4 The Marriott name when it comes to Residence Inn is being tarnished all because it appears that upper management doesn’t care about making sure the customers keep coming back to The Residence Inn5 The only reason I even stayed here is due to someone else paying for it The last time I stayed, my team had to be moved to another hotel6 I have a proposal for Marriott/Residence Innif you need assistance with rebranding I am more than willing to assistfor a fee7 Today, you need to be brought up to standards so you can stay in competition with the likes of Hilton and their brand

Matha Goram

The small team of dedicated and hardworking staff can only do so much when their hands are tiedThe age of the place can be deduced by the soiled carpets, chipped furniture and non-existent pest control servicesThe breakfast was a joke compounded by the failure to label the ingredients of the prepared food to assist those with allergy or dietary concerns

Wins the race for the worst Residence Inn experience in 35 years!

The woman at the front desk was very helpful and patient during the check-in process This location is very quiet with no road noise, they also have a very nice pool area and basketball courts

J G

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, for the price it was really nice The room was great and enjoyed having the sofa bed available Utilized the laundry and the hot tub both of which were clean and I was glad to be able to use them

There was construction on the road outside of the hotel but it did not affect anything to do with our stay

Yasin HZ

Old and tired room with a very poor breakfast offering But the reason I’m giving only 1 star is the attitude of the lady attending the breakfast room Because the offering was so poor in terms of selection and quality I wanted to take a picture for my review and at the same time put back my plate in the dirty dishes box; therefore I had my plate when I approached the table

She thought I’m about to get some food and yelled from the other “sir you need a clean plate”; yes sure but how about you wear some gloves when handling the food I saw her touching multiple dirty areas and then food

To start with the good

the room was clean The breakfast was ok, meaning it was ok, not great but could at least eat I paid for a premium room which should have given me faster internet and complimentary snacks daily This did not happen I had to request daily snack refill which did not happen until I complained then only happened after I complained agian which was still during my 6 day stay, yes 6 days So beware, if you book premium you will only get substandard room service

Sofia Flores

If you will be staying in the room next to the laundry beware every time someone is doing laundry the room will shake I literally freaked out since I was in the room alone with my 2 children had to called the front desk to ask if an earthquake was reported or what was going on It would have been nice to be warned about it or even better asked if we didn’t mind If I could add a video to this review I would

Overall, I enjoyed my stay The only thing that I had trouble with was the ac For some reason the ac was programmed to 85 degrees

I was able to adjust it down to 70 but after a few minutes it went back to 80+ It took me forever to get it to a comfortable temperature But then it got too cold I left it alone after that because I didn’t want to get it back up to 80+

Room is much nicer/bigger than one would expect at this price range Very nice front desk person Also love the front desk area, nothing too fancy but really high ceiling

Room was very clean and bathroom was quite big as well Wish my bedroom was that size 😅😁

I only give thisplace 2 stars one for the staff and one for the comfort of the bed This place is outdated There was a cigarette burn hole in our comforter

A roach crawled up the wall and then our last night there was one on the bed We love comfort suites but this one will never see our business again

Stayed here for one night and the front desk was lazy, after we got in the room the sleeper couch mattress had stains and some pillows had stains The air conditioning was so cold For breakfast the had only waffles and some microwave stuff and breads

Wouldn’t really recommend and also there was a roach coming inside the hotel and the entrance smelled like cigarettes It is really outdated
