Excellent stop for the night as we were passing through Rooms were a little dated but seemed to be well kept Great location with ample parking

Breakfast was a nice touch, nothing fancy but was enough different options Very warm receptionists and very accommodating when we asked for an extra cot for the room Highly recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton in East Rutherford!

Shannon Desrosiers

Very disappointed pool was not open for our children however I guess I looked and it said that on the website Unsure why though ? But I was impressed with my room very clean, and Spacious!!!! Awesome staff and location was great for people going to American dream or NYC Central Park was only 7miles ! Ideal for visiting a lot of amazing spots Elevator was making noises that WAS kinda scary though

But all in all I would give this hotel 38 out of 5!

I like this hotel It’s not the newest hotel around, but it’s certainly not rundown It’s definitely well maintained and clean

Cleaning staff were almost always visible and working My room had a tub, which I assume is standard I prefer showers Breakfast was good and service is excellent They have an outdoor enclosed half basketball court with an excellent vinyl floor and you can get a ball from reception to have some hoop fun The gym, though, is somewhat small and equipment a bit datedA big plus for me is the hotel’s location It is right opposite a small mall, which houses a Marshalls, Aldi and several eating options Several other restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive Don’t think that the close proximity to these shops make this hotel noisy or busy It’s very quiet and I felt very safe and secure I would undoubtedly stay here again

I booked 3 rooms, got them on the same floor I wiped everything with my Clorox wipes and was happy to see no dirt or even dust! The bartender was nice, the restaurant was closed off but kitchen was still open, we ordered food and ate by the bar The location was great, restaurants in walking distance and the train to NYC was nearby too which is where we spent most of the days

Beds were super comfy…my toddler and infant slept well and my parents and in laws stated they slept comfortably Overall good experience here and will book again when visiting

Marianna Mansour

Had to book a block of rooms for several directors for a corporate offsite nearby Karen was very nice and accommodating Everyone was very impressed with their rooms

It was much more than they were expecting I liked my waterfront view, the comfy bed, and the amenities They even offered extending our rate to others outside our company who had to meet us in town Karen even followed up to make sure we were happy Service was excellent!

Jenn Q

Our stay was mostly pleasant My biggest complaint is that two of the elevators need to be serviced The sensors do not work

For most of our stay we dealt with the doors closing on us as we walked in, but we dealt with it because it bumped either my husband or myself But when our four year old was pushed down into the elevator and onto the floor because the door began to close on her, that was not okay Thankfully I was able to put my arm and leg in to prevent the elevator from completely closing on her feet I reported it to the front desk They were apologetic and said they would have someone come out and service the elevator We checked out that same day, so I’m not sure if it actually happened Our room was okay We didn’t use the sofa bed because it was worn and looked like it needed to be replaced The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly There was a lot of dust and a used Q-tip on the shelf underneath the sink where our “clean” towels were The shelf clearly had not been wiped in a while Thankfully, I always travel with Lysol wipes and Lysol spray I cleaned that area and we asked for a clean set of towels Would I stay here again, I’m not sure It would depend on if the elevators were actually fixed The other issues were manageable

I have stayed in many air b&b, but Kevin’s place was amazing, better than the picture! In prime location, the space was modern and spacious I arrived a day later than expected and he was willing to accommodate by changing the dates I enjoyed staying here, wish I would’ve stay longer

The bed was comfortable and the shower is was everything plus more , Especially a long day of traveling I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting union city

Alisa thomsen

Do not let the exterior fool you This place is as pictured It was very clean, queen-sized bed which is very comfortable and a nice couch as well

The bathroom and room were very sanitized and not too far from the city Kevin was easy to get ahold of, entering the building was a breeze and so was him providing a parking pass Definition a great stay for a quick trip

ZeeQ stuido’s

The building’s interior definitely did not match the room itself It was clean, well kept, and had a nice sized bathroom The area can get a bit noisy every now and then but nothing horrible

I truly appreciated that the bus stop for NYC was a 5 minute walk away Very easy access Parking can be hard to find depending on when you arrive, either way Kevin has visitor passes available if you’re bringing your car Overall, I just needed a place to sleep, with parking, and had easy access to NYC This place met all my needs and Kevin was very prompt with his responses to my questions and/or concerns

We loved our rooms Having the kitchen island area to work instead of a desk was great and everything was really clean The location is great with a good view of NYC

On our last day in New Jersey we went to explore NYC We had asked the front desk if we needed to move our car or if the parking pass would still let us out They informed us the pass didn’t expire until the end of the day When we got back to our car and went to leave the card wouldn’t let us out and we had to pay $18 in addition to the $22 for parking we paid every day we were there It was a good stay but only about half of the front desk staff were great

Lilly Chris

Really great hotel! It made our stay in New York more relaxed and special Very clean and modern suite, and kitchen had all utensils necessary for cooking and eating, dishwasher was also there, and washing powder provided Personnel was also very friendly and helpful

New York city easy to reach by public transport, bus or ferry The view of New York was stunning

Monica Mak

This hotel is so pretty It’s right by the water

the only thing is, they don’t have any rooms that are waterfront directly but you can definitely see the water from the side window The suite is so spacious and updated I love how it has a full kitchen and a huge refrigerator The woman at the front desk was very polite Parking is $22 in the garage that’s located right outside of the hotel Make sure you let the front desk person know that you will be going in & out so you can retrieve a parking pass for a one time fee It’s very close to NYC!! Complimentary breakfast… don’t expect a full meal It was breakfast sandwiches, cereal, quick meals Still good 🙂 the only thing is I wish they had a pool but it was still a great stay This will be my new go to hotel when I come into town Thank you Residence Inn!!!

Our company was traveling to NYC for a work trip During our stay we were delighted with the hotel The location was great, the staff were friendly, the rooms were very comfortable/roomy/modern/clean/etc

They also had free breakfast Everything you want in a good hotel stay! Sadly, that’s where the positive feedback endsWe were overcharged by this hotel during our stay, and despite multiple attempts with management and Marriott corporate to resolve the problem, they refused to refund us for the extra charges or provide us with a certificate of credit for our next stay (we we were on a work trip and need to return to NYC a few more times)The problem came from the fact that we booked rooms with two beds (directly on the Marriott website) When we arrived at the hotel, they said they did not have availability for the rooms with two beds, so the manager offered to provide extra rooms to us for free, so that we could sleep everyone and not have to move hotels The manager originally said we would have to move rooms if a room with two beds became available, but then after we explained that we were on a work trip and moving would be incredibly inconvenient since we were working 14 hour rotating shifts 24/7, the manager said they would comp the extra rooms for us since it was their fault that what we booked was not availableAfter our stay, we noticed that we were overcharged on our credit card When we called the hotel, the manager refused to refund us and claimed that we agreed to the extra charge This is not accurate If we were told there was an extra charge, we would have just moved rooms or switched hotels if they didn’t have rooms with two beds availableWe are incredibly disappointed that the manager refused to honor his word about taking care of us, and that no one in management or at Marriott corporate wanted to help We called on 4 separate occasions asking if we could just work something out between us, and they simply refused and kept stating that we agreed to the extra cost The only charges with my signature on them are the original ones that I agreed to

Good places with great access to NYC The buses are confusing so make sure you know what you are doing But individual rooms and bathrooms were clean, and we saw housekeepers cleaning everything which was so great

Also, the host is amazing and super communicative, offers great support and help! The room is a good size, with a mini-fridge (awesome), a bit noisy, but as expected in a city Definitely great for your money!

April 6, 2022 Checking in again and this hotel is still excellent service from the manager to the front desk and service and to the maintenance mechanic They all go out of their way to accommodate

The rooms are great, quiet and very clean The atmosphere makes you feel at home, great view of river and the American Dream, and places to eat A must stay

Shannon Willis

I have ear plugs in and can still hear traffic revving by It is very loud here all hours of the day and night There are nights I can’t sleep without ear plugs

Very very thin walls as I can hear the person in the room next to mine on the phone at times The sound of kids crying fills the halls and can be heard through the wall Sticky floors in kitchen, elevator and stairwell Wouldn’t stay again!

Stayed for three nights, check in staff were amazing! And that’s where it ends!!! Room was dirty toe nail clippings on floor the Housekeeping well I can’t tell you about them! They never came after asking Multiple times for towels and trash removal to no avail finally the night clerk set up the security guard with towels and coffee I sat garbage outside room unfortunately! (YUCKY I KNOW) the breakfast was good! However the breakfast staff rude and unresponsive about anything? It’s not on my list to stay again unfortunately! And I am definitely letting my company know! On the good side two amazing restaurants near by an AMAZING ITALIAN/DELI ACROSS STREET and of course the Mexican restaurant across the street ! Other than that a total flop shame tho !

We came here for in April/2022 for our granddaughter 7th Birthday The staff was awesome The place was very clean, well maintained

Room were nice even the other guests were great 👍 We only spent one day at the pool For my granddaughter and a friend of hers We love staying here at the Holiday Inn If we’re not staying at a 5 star resort this is the next best place for us Holiday inn makes us feel comfortable staying here Always polite and will to help if we ever had a problem with anything We came here for the New mall, Nickelodeon studio A kids must do place for fun

Chris H

Rooms were very clean with a somewhat modern décor Water was not very hot in showers but they were large and comfortable Continental breakfast was available on all mornings of my stay but I would recommend getting to it early and not to wait

A downfall was that families with younger children were staying in rooms next to and above me which made for hearing of a lot of noise from the children playing, nothing to the fault of the hotel Staff was pleasant and made for the stay to be comforting Access to the hotel is difficult coming from Highway 17 due to limited places to turn

Our family had a great stay at Mint House! Very spacious and well equipped apartments although quite dark (high rises everywhere and therefore also no view) Beautiful old art deco building We had groceries delivered upon arrival which worked perfectly

In the basement there is a bowling alley, a gym and a screening room – all included And a nice supermarket with lots of ready made food and an entry directly from the hotel Nice bakery and deli shop just around the corner Subway entrance literally in front of hotel entrance – line 2 and 3 will take you straight uptown and makes it very easy to visit the cityI would highly recommend this place for a stay in NYC with kids and when you want to have a bit more space than just the usual hotel room

Bimesh De Silva

Stayed in a studio here for a couple of months Much bigger than a typical hotel room Comes with standard kitchen stuff such as utensils, cookware, and plates (no rice cooker though sadly)

Internet was pretty fast and stable all throughout the building (except elevators) One con is the lack of sunlight due to the surrounding buildings and Mint House only occupying floor 2-6 of 70 pine This was further compounded by the somewhat lacking lighting inside the roomsExcellent location for the 2/3/4/5 trains (which go uptown or to Brooklyn easily) Good selection of food within a 5 min walk (my favorites for everyday were Dig and Blue Park Kitchen) The attached grocery store was convenient for small/rushed purchases but grossly overpriced for consistent shoppingThe 24/7 front desk was awesome They did a great job with packages and guiding food delivery people upstairs The complimentary cleanings were well done (remember to ask for them if you are staying for a while) The few times I made requests (extra hangers, some Lysol, etc) they were granted quickly

India Mitchell

My family and I stayed at Mint House while visiting New York City this weekend The residence was superb Very clean and spacious, and easily accomodated our family of four

The hotel staff was friendly before and during our stay We even had groceries delivered on the day we arrived I will definitely be staying here again Thank you Mint House management for an absolutely awesome experience 😃

First impression when I stepped in, very neat and clean lobby and breakfast area Receptionists were helpful and quick to assist There are two entrance into the building: one is the main entrance and another around where the other side of the parking lot (back of the main entrance)

Right by the elevators there is a coffee table for their guestsRoom was nice and clean to me Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body soap, hand soap were all provided Front desk also provide comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, shower cap, etc if you forgot any of those Room has microwave and mini fridge Only complaint I have for the room would be the water in the shower stand There is completely no water pressure there Basically I feel like the water is dripping down instead of flushing out It took me awhile to feel my hair has rinsed off the shampoo and that i am actually clean If they increase the water flow, I believe this would be a good place to return for another stayI do like their complimentary breakfast from 7-10am Might not be the best I’ve had but definitely decent selection of good food And all day complimentary coffee…I like that

I have always had great stays at Hampton Inns and this one was great too The rooms were clean, in excellent condition, and comfortable The heating system worked well, which was important on the very cold night we stayed there

They also finally had the free hot breakfast service, which was a welcome accomodation This Hampton has free parking, which is important to me, since I drove a long distance to get there, however, their airport shuttle service was still not operating The staff was friendly and helpful, and gave me the option of free late checkout as I waited for my wife’s delayed flight to arrive

Perfect hotel Great restaurants near by and the free breakfast had something for everyone The free coffee was good and there is a Dunkin about 20′ away

It was a 5 minute walk to the bus station that took 20 minutes to get you to the city 5 minutes from met life, but was in a nice quite location for the family I will be staying here for any trips going forward and highly recommend

This hotel and its stuff live up to Marriott’s expectations! We had great stay, loved everything about it! From front desk staff to the clean spacious rooms, the pool, breakfast was absolutely delicious with staff quickly and efficiently refilling food Location is really nice too! We will definitely revisit in future if passing by that area !

Anthony’s Tech 101

Had a fantastic weekend stay at this Residence Inn Hotel with my family! Upon check in, the guy at the front desk was super welcoming, answered our questions and also a very funny guy too, it was a very smooth check in process! And free parking is nice too!Our King bedroom #324 was excellent! Very clean upon arrival, the room has a nice modern appearance, it has power outlets and USB ports all over the room, a pull out couch for the kids, and the best part: it has a full kitchen with GE appliances in case you don’t want to be eating out all the time The king bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean The Samsung TV has a good amount of channels to watch, and you can swivel to different parts of the room which is cool

Our room also had a decent window view of NYC with the One World Trade Center peaking thru, but I’m sure the higher floors have a better view than us The bathroom is large, and the shower is really nice, however, one small annoyance, adjusting and turning on/off the shower is very confusing, one way says off, but it doesn’t turn off until you turn it all the way around the other way… the instructions on the handle for the shower are misleading and confusingThe hotel amenities were great too! The indoor pool is small but decent and clean, and it can be crowded especially on a Saturday night with families taking a dip, but early in the morning when it opens at 7am is the best bet when no one is there so you can have the whole pool to yourself Fitness center is nice as well and has great workout equipment Guest Laundry is only $150, not bad Breakfast was great too, it’s free, and it has pancakes, eggs, sausage, and healthy items too! And a nice coffee bar to get you up in the morning! Lobby is also very modern and inviting, and outside, it has a front door access to all the shops and restaurants in the mall, and a nice patio with seats and a fireplace and a BBQ grill for cookoutsOverall the stay was superb! We needed a hotel close to the American Dream Mall and the MetLife Stadium, and we felt we hit the jackpot with this hotel! We will definitely be booking here again if we come back to Jersey!*Attached to this review, I have a lot of photos I took of this property, take a look!

Listen! I love this place! The location is amazing you have the park and the river front around the corner and Penn station right down the street from ferry street! On top of the service friara and his wife prove an excellent service The rooms are cleaned and well maintained and make sure you’re comfortable during your stay They are very accommodating and will be coming back! They are responsive and very hands with any issues you have

Munashe Shumba

I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by this place! It is as beautiful as the photos The floors are in pristine condition, kitchen appliances are modern, stainless steel, the bathroom is clean, no mold, looks new, each guest has their own access code which grants access to only the appropriate apartment and bedroom which is perfect for security in a place shared by many It’s very clear a lot of love and money went into putting this place together

The spaces are also cleaned frequently and there’s a robot vacuum that periodically cleans common spaces Host/owner pops in to check in on guests every day or two There’s an efficient system to keep everything running smoothly from name tags in the fridge to lockable cupboards in the bedrooms The rules are very clear and sensible -keep your stuff in cupboard, cleanup after yourself, no sleeping on the couches, be fully dressed all the time- just how to be a decent human when you share a space with others This place is also very affordable! The neighborhood is lovely and feels safe There’s a gorgeous bike path and park a block away by the canal/river and there is another park with tennis courts 3-5 mins walking distance away 15 mins walking distance from Harrison Path and also from a strip with banks, shops, etc This place is for people who know how to live considerately of others The rest are going to spoil this gem for everyone else

Great place to stay with an even better price! Especially for the amazing quality you get Mixed dorms, however women get their own room and aren’t mixed into rooms with menIt’s exceptionally clean and very comfortable, as well as relaxing

The guest tend to respect one another and I never once felt concerned for any of my belongings turning up missing Many are actually very helpful to other guestsClean kitchens and all are welcome to use it as they please The owner, Mr Faria, is reasonable and always willing to helpI’m so honesty, it took some getting used to sleeping in bunks again at my age lol, but it was comfortable and I got along with my bunk matesIt’s not your typical hostel, it’s more like a bed and breakfast, only you make your own breakfast lolYou can’t beat the price for the quality

Having a great stay and this will definitely be my hotel of choice when I come back again for work Love having the kitchen in the room, though it’s honestly not even that necessary with the free breakfast and on week nights they give you a free drink ticket and some bread and cheese There are also a good handful of restaurants nearby and it’s right across from the PATH station

Great choice for any stay in the area

We are staying here for five days The place could use a new living room set but otherwise it is a nice place to stay Manhattan hotels prices have become outrageous and since we’re traveling and visiting both Manhattan and Brooklyn this place seem to be Central to where we needed to be

We have the one bedroom apartment I wouldn’t call it a room because it has a bedroom, a living room a small dining area, small kitchen and a pretty decent bathroom If you want to be in Manhattan and don’t mind a 20-minute ride on the PATH train, this is the place besides when you’re coming to a vacation in New York you’re not planning on staying in the room anyway Customer service is great! I met the desk staff and the cleaning personnel The restaurants that are here “Ah Pizz” for pizza and Five Guys, and right downstairs there’s a restaurant on location here at the hotel and other stores and pub places nearby

Rooms are very spacious with modern finishing Additionally housekeeping frequent and thoroughBreakfast is available and there was a pre-packaged breakfast option

This came in handy especially I had an early commute to workHowever be sure to confirm if the late check-out option is available as I was told that isn’t a standard offering

Eric Straughen

For a Home 2, this wasn’t bad Decently priced I had a shower issue the first night but in the am we had maintenance come fix it

No issues after Beds were moderately comfortable and the hotel traffic “noise” was kept pretty low No major parties or outside noise interfered with the sleepThe views from the room were walmart and highway 17 Parking wasn’t an issue

I stayed at SpringHill Suites before and after flights to and from a week long vacation The rooms are very nice and the hotel is very convenient to the airport There was a strange smell in the hallways, but the rooms were fine

It’s great that they provide shuttle service and even have a discounted parking rate if you don’t want to park at the airport The shuttle to the airport was incredibly easy The one back to the hotel was significantly more difficult, and took a long time to get to The front desk staff was very friendly, but service was very slow If I had another flight out of Newark, I’d definitely consider staying here again, but not without looking more closely at some of the other nearby hotels offering similar convenience

The SpringHill Suites New Jersey was a pretty good value overall Me and my wife stayed there

The hotel itself was a little dated Which I was gladly overlooking because it was very clean The free breakfast in the morning very flavorful and hot Footnote the pool and the whirlpool are both closed due to covid still The price of the room was on point with the amenities of the room Definitely would go back again definitely would recommend

Kolei Robinson

I have stayed here probably 10 times and will continue to choose this location The staff is friendly and efficient Every single time I’ve stayed here they make the check in process super easy

The rooms are so clean and spacious The amenities they provide far outweigh their great pricing Free continental breakfast and airport shuttle Highly recommend!
