Awesome hotel! They have great security You cannot access the use of the elevator or secure parking garage without a key, nor the building itself They do charge you under $20 for parking but it’s worth it

They have breakfast and a decent selection of items The hotel is well kept and the rooms were very clean and nice Was disappointed in the size of the pool They do have a little kids area w/ pool that’s not at all deep with a slide and water spout type contraption The staff were all friendly and helpful Location was okay but I never had a reason to go out and about in the city We were in town visiting family Double check your charges after you check out It might have been a fluke but I had mysterious charge that they did end up refunding me for Jim is one of the managers at this hotel and he was very professional, patient and helpful when resolving this issue I definitely would stay again

After having a horrible experience at Best Western Como park, we cancelled our reservations and went here Feeling so let down by our first encounter with such unprofessional staff, this place was a breath of fresh air!! The check in process was perfect The receptionist, Jacky, was so friendly and helpful!! It was beautiful, bright and clean! Location was perfect! They even have a beautiful, little attached patio to enjoy outside

I highly recommend this hotel and our family looks forward to visiting again as this is where we will always stay in the future:)

Breakfast was good Fresh and many options Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable

A little disappointed with the pool and jacuzzi listing as the jacuzzi was the entirety of the whole pool We were expecting more of a hot tub or separate area for jacuzzi Otherwise, it was fine Staff were very friendly and the building was very secure

From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing The front desk was manned by true professionals that cared about their clients 100%They were so helpful, friendly and accommodating

The 4 us girls traveled up from Nebraska for 5 days to attend a concert in St Paul for my niece’s birthday and even though we only ended up staying 3 days (the concert got cancelled at the last minute so we came home a couple days early) it was worth every penny and then some The parking at the hotel was a breeze in a very busy, quaint, beautiful town The location cannot be beat as can walk to everything easily Our room (308) was absolutely gorgeous with a balcony overlooking Main St With a river view It was beautifully appointed as a 1 bedroom suite They brought us a mini fridge and a rollaway bed and the couch was also very comfortable Plenty of room for the 4 of us They had numerous outside sitting areas, a fire pit courtyard as well as a rooftop deck with a fire pit and large hot tub as well We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone

Alyssa Goldschmidt

Pros: Rooftop hot tub was amazing The hotel Is located In a perfect place Everything Is walking distance

Staff/customer service was friendly & easy to call when we needed somethingCons: No fridge or Microwave(which we thought was odd), but just giving a heads up for future visitors, because we brought cold food & ended up having to toss It Lastly, the bed & pillows were terrible Other then that, great stay Fire pits & hot tub were awesome on these last couple cold nights!

Leslie Hollerud

I stayed here for one night with a friend on a free night because she previously had a problem In the dead of winter there was no hot water The hotel was attractive in the public spaces

The rooms had no closet, no fridge, no microwave and no iron We tried to eat there My water arrived warm on a really hot and humid day and the glass had a big smear of lipstick and a red dot that I was hoping wasn’t blood The server didn’t even apologize He just said I will get you another We ordered Red Snapper and when it came I tried to cut it in half to share and my knife wouldn’t even cut through it I’ve never seen a piece of fish that was that rubbery I don’t even know if it was fish The Manager came over and I told her what happened and she laughed and said “I don’t think anyone in the back is bleeding “ referring to the dirty glass With a huge bar and about 1000 bottles of liquor they couldn’t even make blended drinks If we would have paid for the room it would have been $389 a night If they want to charge those prices they really need to step up their customer service skills With all the competition in the area I would think they would be a little more concerned with their reputation Would not stay there again

Friendly, helpful staff (thank you Shay for the great service and caring smile) Valet and shuttle driver were extra perks! Hot breakfast provided a variety of options (son is gluten free) but odd no brown sugar for the oatmeal Classy yet cozy room with well supplied kitchen

Best of all, first time we’ve stayed in the Twin Cities without waking to sirens or traffic noise (Several were deployed, too)

Stephen Ellis

Stayed here 4 nights with my wife and kids Started with the air conditioner not working in the room We notified them multiple times they gave us a fan

Average room temp was 75-80 degrees Didn’t want to make a big deal because the said the we fixing it By yesterday we’re like pack all our kids up and goto another hotel? We just toughed it out The only good thing about this place is the pool Breakfast was sub par Good thing hopes is next door I mentioned again about the room air and their reply “Said did we tell them” Unreal! You gave me the fan So she comped us the valet parking We didn’t even use valet parking but one night because when we got back the place was surrounded by police cars Been here before a year ago and it is definitely not the same Hit or miss here

Nic Dunseith

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 months while we worked in St Paul The staff here are amazing

The hotel was well kept and well run Extra mention for Shay who made sure we had a room that was in a good location for working night shift and Luke who brush our car off when we didn’t have a snow brush and had a flight to catch the next day I cannot say enough about all of the wonderful people who made our stay amazing I wish I could give this a rating higher than 5 stars Thank you to everyone for going above and beyond – kitchen staff, housekeeping and maintenance, we are so grateful!

This is such a beautiful place! We stayed here for my husband’s birthday Loved the fact that it isn’t the average hotel The rooms are very charming and the antique furniture and art was all lovely

Really easy to take a walk along Summit and get to nearby restaurants! I wish we had stayed longer We were up on the third floor–based on the photos we thought the room would be a bit smaller/cozier but it ended up being very spacious!

Mary Jo Bartels

Such a delight! Did not want to leave this beautiful place! We booked the master suite and just Wow! So many amazing spaces to enjoy The quality of the home, the wood, the windows and light, the furnishings, fireplaces, library, parlor Such a grand place to savor sweet musings of lives and years gone by

Will definitely come back but for a longer stay! And I plan up research the story of the family who first lived here and the evolution since those early daysThank you for making this indulgence available for us to enjoy!!

We could not have had a better stay This boutique hotel was even more beautiful than it appeared on the 3-D tour online My husband found it in a Google search

We were looking for a space for hair and makeup artists to come in to get my bridal party ready for the big day that could turn into a honey moon suite at the end We booked room 301 It looked exactly like the virtual tour accept it was more polished, more beautiful, more clean The floors and all the pictures and floor boards were pristine Their cleaning staff are amazing Since I hosted four bridesmaids, a personal attendant, three flower girls, and the two hair & makeup artists the morning of, I emailed the day before to request a clean, fresh sheets, and towels They came in after we left for the church and left everything looking like newI was worried in the restored building that the air conditioning may be unreliable but it was cool throughout the suite and stayed Cool in every room The bedroom closet was large enough to air out my cathedral length dress train during our stay The gorgeous tub was perfect for a post-wedding soak The full kitchen and fridge was ideal for the Lund’s catering we brought in for breakfast and lunch and kept everything cool and Fresh so we were able to have chilled bubbly when we returned back and cold OJ in the morning as well as midnight snacks without ever having to leave the room After a busy day, we were slow getting packed up to leave in the morning of checkout We emailed the desk from bed for a checkout extension and they responded with a two hour extension of our code without issue We had such an amazing experience we can’t wait for a reason to go back My husband even made a Facebook live video of the room before we left he was so happy with it Thank you, Davidson, for such an AMAZING stay You helped make our wedding weekend so marvelous Keep up the good work

Stayed at hotel for honeymoon and it was perfect Amazing food delivered to the room from the restaurant, all staff were friendly and accommodating Everything was clean and loved the suite, the tub is large enough even my 6’5” hubby was able to comfortably relax and bathe

The common area was luxurious so it was nice to have a quiet meal in the room one night and play cards with a local friend Definitely want to go back! The rooftop bar was amazing as well!!

Emilie Christensen

I have stayed at Omni Viking Lakes a few times, and there are a some things that keep me coming back The hotel is beautiful! The Nordic Viking theme is just perfect, with subtle and tasteful nods to the Purple&Gold Vikings who’s training facility is just next door This hotel is high end while still being inviting and comfortable

Side note: If you are a MN Vikings fan, you just might end up having a drink and some great conversation with a player or coach ;)The rooms and spaces are exceptionally clean and well appointed The staff- from the front desk to the restaurant, and bar staff- have all been so kind, professional, and welcomingTheir loyalty program is so thoughtful! Sometimes a glass of champagne at check in, complimentary wine/beer at the lounges or restaurants, or complimentary coffee from the in-house Caribou Coffee branded shop are always so appreciated I recently also booked services at the spa and it was truly a luxury experienceSo, with all of the hotels to choose from in the area, I’ll continue to come to Omni

Cassandra Krzebietke

This place is excellent My fiancé and I booked a regular room and were able to upgrade to a suite for half the price We had a huge bathtub and shower room

Very clean room, comfy bedThe food down at the restaurant is good too Only complaint I have is the fries were not all that great But my Korean Fried Chicken sandwich and his steak was so yummy! We had breakfast down at the little coffee shop (wasn’t great for the price…)We also got couples massages at the spa and were treated like royalty when we went in there You can use the spa all day if you book a serviceOverall, it was a nice and enjoyable experience We were sad to leave!

Overall a decent stay The Jacuzzi suite really is what it looks like in the pictures, saddest part being that it’s is right there when you walk in the door so if your partner goes out/comes in while you are enjoying it, you risk being seen by anyone in the hallway Late check out was an option -11am was extended to 1pm for a reasonable $26

85 The location however seemed weird and there is no view from that particular room

I was extremely impressed and enjoyed this location They keep this property very clean They have a gym with enough equipment to get a good workout in while traveling

There’s an indoor pool and hot tub too I want to highlight that Michael’s professionalism and service make you feel like you are staying at a 5 star resort Great experience Highly recommend this location Also very close to the airport

**Updated my star rating due to the fact that I received a response about the maintenance of the pool That was my mistake for assuming the weren’t checking Like I said, the staff was nothing short of amazing

I may give them another try if we’re in the area**The staff was amazing and kind!! The room itself was ok Cracks along AC/heat unit, missing electricity plate, shower tub was grimey, shower head was leaking and sprayed water out of the shower unless you turned the shower head a certain way, and found a baby spider crawling on the bed Thin walls/door, you can pretty much hear everything I felt like the swimming pool hasn’t been treated and with an all girls softball team there all weekend and them using the pool often, I would think they would check One small elevator for the entire hotel, which took forever Breakfast was decent, but can’t really complain since it’s free Parking wasn’t too bad Location was ideal but I would definitely check out other hotels in the area after this stay

Wendy Leigh

What a wonderful stay at this hotel!!! The staff is amazing! Moona (and I think her name was Ellie) at the front desk went out of their way to make our daughter’s birthday an extra special experience Our stay was also incredible and we all slept so, so well! Here are my pros and cons for this hotelPros:- The staff 100%- beds are super comfy! They are a medium firm

We all slept so, so well!- We had a queen suite and it was very spacious with lots of room for our family of 5 to spread out/get ready in the morning- The breakfast is yummy!! We love how Springhill has the sugared waffles They are our favorite!! They also have hot protein items like sausage, eggs and bacon and they keep them well stocked-It was super duper quiet even though it appears the hotel was pretty full/busyat least from the parking lot and the main lobby area-Parking is easy- The shower is awesome! Lots of water pressure and the massage feature is wonderfulCons:- the building is older (if you consider that a con) There are stains on the carpets in the hallways Our room appears to be updated however- Our room had a bit of a perfumy smell when we first came in I was worried it would cause my asthma to flair, but I didn’t have any problems thankfullyWe would 100% stay here again if we return to the area in the future!

Bozihome

I spent about a month in the hotel on business The staff and housekeeping services are pretty solid I was able to get my room reliably cleaned every week and get a paper from downstairs on the local news

Coffee is available 24 hours, its pretty decent The room had awesome heating, plenty of space and a comfortable bed The gym has a few treadmills, a bike and elliptical and a dumbbell set, yoga mats – all you need to get a good work out inThe hotel does an evening social once a week where they’ve got free beer and snacks which is cool and encouraging I haven’t come across many places that do this but its a great way to network and interact with people especially in times of COVIDThe biggest complaints would be the inconsistently of the room keys, if you can get the app – use it because you’ll find yourself losing the ability to go into the gym, laundry room, pool or even your own room at the drop of a dime The breakfast is edible as long as you stay away from the powdered eggs

Tom Johns

Solid choice for north suburban stays They do one weird thing though , I’ve observed it during every stay in 2022, which is that between 0715 and 1000 each day but especially on weekends, they’ll entirely clean the lobby bathrooms, tiles in front of bathrooms, and even tile floors of first floor exit areas with really slick floor detergent But this is exactly the time of highest foot traffic in all these areas

I’ve witnessed grandmas nearly spill their breakfast coffee trying to maneuver into and out of those bathrooms because it’s like ice I thought it was because staff to do this only worked mornings, but that turns out not to be the case, the same individual creating local slip & slides is still working at 1530 Clean up of these areas should really occur only after 10:30 or so, it isn’t safe unless you’re barefoot and even then I doubt it

Jerry Inderlee

My girlfriend and I spent almost 6 months here and really miss the wonderful staff, the beautiful room, and the way they made us feel right at homeThe front desk, maintenance, kitchen, and environmental services were 10 out of 10!My girlfriend wants to move back lol!Thank you for everything you did for us!

Stayed at this hotel with my entire extended family for a funeral Staff was extremely friendly and courteous and the General Manager Lynne was a great help in helping make arrangements for dinner at the adjoining Machine Shed (which was delicious)The hotel is very clean, and the lobby is beautiful

Very comfortable beds and large bathrooms is a plus The pool area is incredibly spacious and the kids loved itWill definitely be staying here again

Lydia Keskitalo

Clean rooms and great staff, but the floor plan is very odd Many of the rooms look into the pool which itself isn’t bad, but the windows are very thin and the pool doesn’t close until 11:00pm This can be a problem if you are here for business or if you like to get to bed early

However, good prices, clean rooms, and helpful staff makes this hotel a good place to stay in St Paul

Lisa M

Black hole of a room Overall, the hotel was fairly nice, typical Holiday Inn…HOWEVER, our room had absolutely no natural light coming in

We had a window, but it faced a wall Pitch black at all hours Hard to relax, when you have no idea what it’s like outside, or cues that it’s getting late, etc We (spouse and kids) slept terribly as we all kept waking up at various times afraid we’d oversleep (yes, we used an alarm clock), since we had no other cues it was morning Pic was taken before checkout at 9:30 am, just to show how ridiculous it wasWas never informed our room was like that when making booking, or calling in to confirm that day Unable to get new room as hotel was booked No refund as prepaid for best price We’re done with the IHG brand after this

These rooms are great because they come with 2 separate bedrooms with a shared bathroom, common living, and kitchen area The bedrooms have plenty of closet and drawer space, and they have a coffee maker with coffee in the room The staff is really nice and helpful

The only bad thing was the beds They were very hard and not comfortable at all We asked for extra pillows which kind of helped but not really They are not the typical Marriott bed Otherwise it was a great stay

David Fairley

Pam at the front desk is just flat out fun and really made my stay! I had to get a new room because the heater didn’t work…which in Minneapolis is kind of a big deal

Not only did she get me a new room…an upgrade at that And trust me the company gets a great deal in the first place, so she was not under any obligation She is appreciated and needs to be recognized for her customer service, smile and positive attitude!

Heather Teems

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel 1 night while our truck was in the shop We were told by staff we could no longer stay there due to our dog barking when she doesn’t bark because she is trained as a service animal Our dog never stays in the hotel alone and leaves with us everytime we leave the room or hotel

Was also told that our dog was not a service animal eventhough we provided proof of Federal Service registration papers and their reasoning behind that was because “that’s not what service animals look like” so I will be contacting a lawyer who specializes in the American Disability Act laws due to violation of ADA rules and regulations

We appreciated that this hotel went the extra mile in helping us secure a room block for our wedding and arrange transportation to take one thing off our list Renee was great to work with and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the big day Loved having a fresh hot breakfast served each morning as well

The only improvement I would suggest would be making it easier for guests in the room block to book their rooms; they have to call the hotel and I heard some guests had to try a couple of times to get it done

Stayed here for a wedding Currently no staff on premises and you get your code to get in and out of the building and roomLocation is convenient to be in downtown St

Paul Did not park a vehicle for my stayElevator was having major issues during stay Was trapped on the 12th floor in the morningNo a/c on in the main parts so the hallways/elevators were hot Room a/c worked thankfullyBathrooms had step up to enter if you have mobility issues Bed was on the firmer side Room had fridge, microwave and kureg machine

The guy was grumpy that checked us in but another front desk person we met was nice We couldn’t use a gift card to pay for our room I booked the king room on booking

com because it was cheaper than booking with the hotel I liked the standard room better that we got the last time we stayed Our room had a kitchen, dishes, wine glasses and mini fridge with freezer We stayed for winter carnival and it was a perfect location The hotel has the top floors of the building St Paul athletic club has an awesome dry and wet sauna and really nice facilities Nice free breakfast but bring your own cup/mug since they only have disposable options They had recycling bin in the room which was a nice touch The housekeeping staff were very nice We love this hotel

Decent hotel and the price wasn’t bad for the location Huge shoutout to Vivian in the breakfast lounge She is amazing and quite an asset to the hotel

Great hospitality!!! Unfortunately, I do have a couple of complaints: 1 We had no idea there was a free breakfast for guests until I was walking in the hotel the first morning after picking up McDonalds already There was nothing on my reservation confirmation and we weren’t told about it when we checked in That would’ve been nice to know before I spent money elsewhere on food 2 The south facing rooms definitely hear the interstate traffic outside We could hear it well in the morning when we were trying to sleep in 3 The blackout curtains in our room weren’t perfect at keeping the light outOther than these issues, our stay was acceptable and we were overall pleased with our stay The staff was very friendly Just wish they would’ve told us about the free buffet when we checked in

We stayed here at the end of March for a spring break getaway The outside of the hotel was clean and well-maintained Olin, welcomed us and was extremely friendly and helped us check in

The hotel had hand sanitizers in numerous locations The pool area was very large and clean They did not have a clock or restroom in the pool area you did have to go down the hall They had a basketball hoop outside as well as a large fire pit and chairs The continental breakfast was excellent The lady was extremely friendly and made you feel at home They had hot foods as well as those to just grab and go The inside of the hotel was very clean well-maintained cozy they had fireplaces in the main area We had a one bedroom studio which was very nice and clean Location wise it was perfect! Restaurants, shopping etc all close by We definitely plan to go back!

Very poor management and customer service Mother-in-Law made a reservation the 1st of April for my daughters graduation Gets a call a day before they fly up to tell them they have been moved because they overbooked

I am a Lifetime Titanium Elite Marriott member and was put off by this After talking to the hotel and explaining they booked because of having the mini kitchen they said they would try to find them a room and honor their reservation About 2:30 I get a call they are good to stay, next day at 11:00 AM (as they are arriving at the airport) they are now not staying and booked at a Hampton! Talking to the staff they can’t give me an explanation of how someone gets booted but people who booked after are still there The hotel is not 100% occupied by Marriott rewards members so they just talked in circles I am sure she booked so far in advance the rate was cheaper so they kicked them out to get a higher rate since it graduation for several local schools Here is a hot tip, have 160 rooms then you don’t take more reservations than that

We have stayed here a few times and this last visit was quite disappointing Drove 12 hours and were anxious to get our room and order food after a long day to then wait 30 minutes to get our room keys Not even acknowledged by the fellow at the front desk

He was waiting on another guest, but not even a hello I had waited all day for the mobile key to come through, but supposedly “it hasn’t been working for weeks” Having a mobile key would have started us off on a much better foot from the beginningPlatinum Elite and yet no upgrade, this is not a huge deal, but no mention of it and a mostly empty hotel And the kicker is a $100 pet fee for 1 small dog staying for approximately 10 hours I appreciate pet friendly spaces, but that fee seems a bit steep for a one night stay

We would have rated the hotel five stars if it had not been for the noise problem with our room Our room was attractive and clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast bar very good However, the occupants in the room above us were excessively noisy for most of our 6-night stay

We talked to the front desk twice during our visit about the noise problem It sounded like there were children running constantly back and forth in their room or jumping up and down on the floor (it appeared that they spent most of their time each day in their room) The hotel staff did get the noise problem taken care of after 10 pm each night with the start of the hotel’s quiet time Oh but before 10 pm, you couldn’t fall asleep due to the thumping and running noise from above On the last night of our stay, we had an extra interruption to our sleep from a barking dog The hotel is pet friendly and allows dogs We were woken up twice by the woofing of a large dog

corky dile

Good/clean beds and rooms, breakfast and workout room were highlights Area around hotel is safe and nice (grocery and restaurant across the parking lot) Front desk was helpful with providing cooking surface and pan Housekeeping was awesome

Had an issue with a room across the hall screaming all night because they were maybe 21 (I think they were 19-20) and it was their birthday (I know this because it was screamed multiple times and when asked to quiet down they responded with “but it’s my birthday”) Im guessing locals got a hotel room to party all night We called the desk twice roughy and hour apart about the noise we could hear everything( screaming, obscenities, arguing) with our door shut down the hall They knew exactly who I was taking about so I’m guessing we weren’t the only ones complaining at 2am We can deal with a little noise understanding it’s a hotel but was not expecting a local drunken party They sent security up and he didn’t really do anything about it just told them there were noise complaints and he was in a rough spot cause his boss wanted the noise to stop but that he understood They proceeded to yell the F word for the next 5 mins threatening to fight people and they just wanted to party Security heard all of this and left so that told us everything we needed to know about the support we would get, so we just stopped calling and got very little sleep that night thankfully it was only 1 night of our 3 night stay It’s a nice hotel besides that and maybe we just got unlucky, but hotel could have done something We will be trying a different hotel for our trips in the future

Similar complaint to the below comment We had been driving for 13 hours only to arrive to an extremely rude and combative employee who had informed us that our reservation had been canceled When asked why he mentioned something along the lines of a “daily audit” and if you arrive after midnight your reservation was canceled and we had to figure out another situation

NOWHERE on the site or on the premise was that policy stated I asked if there was anything that he could do, such as rebook, and he responded that he couldn’t help us and we needed to go somewhere else Fortunately the property right next door had availability and was able to giveus a bed to rest until another 10 hour travel day The next morning I went back to the property and was able to speak with the assistant GM, Brittany, who was a wonderful face of the company and extremely respectful She profusely apologized and refunded the stay that was charged Please get rid of the nightshift employee who is lazy and an zero value-add employee I understand it was a single employee in the wrong but gives me a bad perception of the Hilton brand as a whole and less inclined to book at any of their properties moving forward

Green Heron Bed and Breakfast

Very seldom do we get a chance to travel, but when we do, where do we stay? Why another bed and breakfast of course, and this one was amazing! From the location, right up the road from the Como Conservatory, close to restaurants, and surrounded by beautiful architecture, to the wonderful breakfasts and conversation Carla is delightful! She has lived there for years and knows so much about the local area and we were wowed with her culinary talent We will be back!

A magical and truly comforting experience! The entire place is gorgeous and decorated with a beautifully curated eye There’s an enchanting garden in front and it’s only a few steps from lake Como Carla is a warm and gracious host

All the little touches and extras in the rooms make you feel cared for and special I loved all the antique books and quilts!

Claire Federici

We all loved the place We had 5 family members who stayed between 5-7 nights each Carla is so gracious and interesting, her dogs are fantastic, the furnishings are endlessly interesting-so much to look at! And the breakfasts were delicious, with interesting conversations with other guests

The location just across the street from the lake and an easy walk from the band shell made it so simple to go rent a canoe or kayak or buy an ice cream I would certainly stay there again, and recommend it to any of my friends and family

I travel a lot on business, and this hotel was a wonderful surprise I often feel claustrophobic in small hotel rooms, but the rooms at this hotel are remarkably large, with 20 foot ceilings and enough floor space that other hotels might call the rooms suites The furnishings and the lobby are very nice, and the free breakfast is quite good

There is only a shower — no tub — in the bathroom, but that is the only negative that I can think of It has all the other common amenities I rate this hotel very highly

Buck M

Aside from finding the right entrance to access the parking, this place is delightful It’s the old post office, and the renovation into a hotel kept some architectural elements intact Like 20′ high ceilings in the room, 10′ wide hallways and brass elevator doors, replete with post office iconography

Very comfortable, very modern, but still personable Staff was very friendly and still professional Yes, I would stay here again

Michael Nelson-Ostrowski

We stayed one night and the room and service were great I was surprised at how tall the ceilings were and the building had quiet of bit of historical nature to it We got stuck with an interior room so it was good as the room could provide as our only views were of the interior building

The only downside (and likely the result of it being in St Paul) was the parking When coming down it seemed like there was on site parking with unlimited parking but the only thing they had was valet so that felt a bit deceitful but that could be my fault for reading The plus side is the parking ramp across the street was only $5 for our overnight
