We attended a racing event at Oswego Speedway on a Saturday night and stayed one night This is an older property that has been very well maintained and updated over the years We’ve stayed at several other hotels/motels in the area over the past 30 years and this one ranks well among them

This one is especially nice for Oswego Speedway fans that come in from the east sideits just 5 minutes from the track (between Scriba and New Haven)Our room had a comfy, clean queen-size bed, with a mini-fridge and microwave Wi-Fi worked well We didn’t use the wall-mounted flat-screen TV The bathroom had a new sink and toilet in it, with an older tiled shower (no tub) that was clean and well maintained The property was very quiet during the evening (sleeping) hoursDebbee, the motel manager, greeted us on arrival and was friendly and efficient We were a little early for check-in, but that was no problem Prices have understandably gone up since the pandemic and were competitive with other accommodations in the area We would definitely return here

I stayed here for the weekend while vising family members It was such a pleasant surprise to find how clean it was and nicely put together! The woman we checked in with was so friendly and quick to help us whenever we needed anything A good value as well

The place is a little older but the space is clean and comfortable and that’s all that matters!I’d recommend staying here if you need a place nearby

Quaint, charming, independent hotel that I am tickled I found The manager, Debi, was hospitable and gracious going over and above to make sure our stay was comfortable The room was spotless

Free laundry My room had a small kitchenette, perfect for coffee and a snack in the morning Just a mile or 2 outside Oswego which was perfect for peace and quiet away from road noise I will most definitely return again highly recommend!

We stayed two nights while exploring the Lake Ontario shoreline near Oswego The owner was super helpful and friendly The motel is retro 1950’s in outside appearance (well maintained) but the rooms are very modern, with comfortable beds, helpful microwave and fridge, and 100% functional bathroom

Extremely clean Wish I could have a motel like this everywhere I travel!

There are many reviews and mainly depends on “what” are things that is important to your stay To me, it has to be clean and comfortable That to me is a 4 stars

I put in 5 stars because one of the front desk lady go out of her way to fill my mug with hot water and few tea bags, honey, and lemon juice This to me is superb service!

Zach Shaffer

This was a very nice hotel overall, I enjoyed my stay here The room was nice, housekeeping and the front desk workers were very nice, the breakfast was in a nice central location in the hotel The only thing about this place was that if you were parking behind the hotel for whatever reason, it was not clear where you needed to go to get to the front desk as it was on the second floor and not the ground floor

So if you plan on staying here that would be the only thing to keep in mind

Justin Haydt

Really disappointed at the quality of this hotel for the price of 250/night We stayed here with a wedding party and as a Marriott platinum member I would never consider another best western again Much better properties elsewhere in Oswego

The rooms here were really outdated They had no plugs for devices anywhere but tucked behind furniture, slow Wi-Fi, no thermostat, and the door lock was ripped off the wall and barely hanging by a screwThe only good part was the river view and pool

I’m here for the 2022 season Since being here for over a month now, I have pros and cons I’d like to sharePROS: I felt at home right away

Everyone here is friendly and helpful, lots of social activities, being at the beach is good for your soul, and watching the sunsets is amazingCONS: I was told my lot would be leveled before I arrived, but it was not and I’m still waiting for that to happen Whatever company they hired to clean the bathrooms should be fired Their standard for cleaning leaves a lot to be desired Pretty sure they haven’t cleaned the floors or walls or shower area in ages, if ever Lastly, the wifi is not reliableBUT I LOVE IT HERE! I plan on making Shady Shores my summer destination every year, but will be moving to a lot that’s level and I can see the sunset from my porch

My other half and I had a most enjoyable time We did a couple of nights of tent camping and were very pleased A truck would have been easier for some of the terrain

However; the scenery took our breath away Pretty nice people; reasonably priced and pretty quiet near the beginning of October 2017 I would recommend it for couples and families alike The bath house a little small- clean- well supplied and efficient I would love to return again someday

We’ve been shopping RV camps for a seasonal site We contacted this campground, they offered site 67, saying it was available After emailing back and calling about our interest there was no reply

Later I email again, and I’m told, the site was sold and I can be added to their waiting list Incredibly poor customer service I was disappointed My husband said they treat their business like Facebook marketplace

I’m a local to the area so I can’t speak for the how the rooms but the service was excellent, food was great, was there for a training conference from my work Staff was friendly They are right in walking distance to many other restaurants and bars, a night club and movie theater as well as other local small businesses a candy shop and bakery the on opposite side of the bridge

They do have their own restaurant and bar inside “Steamers”, the only down side for me way interior lighting was slightly dimmer than what I am use too but the views of the river and the lake were spot on

Paul Peters

From check in till checkout front desk staff is friendly and helpful! No issues with checking in! They are accommodating with letting room service know what you’d like as far as towels and or trash pick up! Area outside and inside well kept and clean Rooms are spacious and clean Could be updated, with microwave and ubs ports

But they are comfortable and quiet Had a room on fifth floor across from elevator didn’t notice it at all, from inside my room

This hotel was excellent while I was visiting for a work trip I really appreciated how dog friendly the staff were I felt so lucky to be able to bring my furry companion

The area around the hotel was great for jogging with my dogThe room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable I really enjoyed the option of live tv and streaming services My one wish would be to have a small coffee pot in the room instead of a single serve machine, but this did not impact me as the lobby has free coffee all day Thank you for an excellent stay!

AMBER Miller

I am a travel RN and I have stayed at this location several times now All of those times the service was exceptional! All the staff are welcoming, polite and accommodating The room rates are excellent for the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and hotel accommodations available to guests

10 out of 10 times I would recommend the Home2 suites in Oswego to anyone!

Xiana Fontno

It’s great, but I’d like to tell the staff and manager: your cookware is not compatible with the induction stove top The pan is not magnetic enough to actually get picked up by the stove I advise those who need a stove to bring a stainless steel cooking implement or cast iron works too

Otherwise, this place is super comfy and the staff is so helpful and nice

To start, the location is beautiful We sat on a deck overlooking a marina with a sunset view The atmosphere was fun for adults, but also good for our elementary school aged kids

The food, even with a busier than usual kitchen, was great But where this place really shined was the superior service We arrived following 3 big parties and were honestly told that it might be a 20 minute wait and that the kitchen was busy (I’m not used to this kind of communication when waiting for a table) When we were seated, our orders were taken quickly, and the kids’ meals were rushed That saved the night for us Everyone was happy watching the sunset

One of my favor spots when in Fairhaven for the summer Was a little let down with a dish I ordered on my first visit back this season It was a vegan dish portobello mushroom stuffed with a vegan cheese on rosetta

I’m not suppose to eat alot of pasta so I ordered this dish thinking a stuffed portobello mushrooms, anywhere else is the star of the meal Not this dish, it was about the size of a 50 cent piece More pasta then anything Will not order that again! Also have had their roasted brussels sprouts and they were actually roasted! Not this time, it was like they were frozen and nuked , Definitely not from fresh I even said something to our waitress, Penny She chuckled and said she say something, I wasn’t the first to say they were mushy I’m just hoping it was a bad night My husband’s meal was perfect He had the haddock fish ruben

Lynn Z Starling

Absolutely spectacular views from the outside café’ The restroom facilities were pristine, the service prompt and friendly and the menu selections unique and varied I had the veggie burger and homemade chips, Yum! My daughter’s food disappeared quickly so I imagine it too was very good

We did not stay there which is the only reason I didn’t give it five stars I can’t really give you an opinion about the rooms but I did see they rent kayaks and bikes, have plenty of outdoor seating, and it looks like the area offers plenty of activities
