was SO excited to stay at this hotel…but the literal minute I checked in, my excitement turned to frustration and it only got worse! I will start with negatives first, then move on to positivesNEGATIVES:I was informed at check in that their room key system was down and would “hopefully” be fixed by the next day The front desk had to follow us to our room every single time we needed in

This caused a LOT of frustration on my end, because I have a younger daughter that doesn’t like being cooped up in a room for long periods of time We also had to have them let us in the pool every time we went as well, since we didn’t have a room key Needless to say, we stayed 3 days and never had a room key the entire time Because of this issue, there were times we waited 15-20 minutes at the desk waiting for the staff to return and take us to our room On top of this, some of the staff was extremely rude about having to take us to our room each time There was also one instance where my family heard staff fighting about how it was “bs” that they had to walk everyone to their rooms The pool was green-looking and was so chlorinated that our hair was damaged and eyes burning for days after swimming Someone was smoking pot in our hallway…and the staff shrugged it off As far as the room itself goes, there wasn’t too much negative We found a couple cob webs in the upper corners and the tile floors in the kitchenette and bathroom were sticky enough for our shoes to continuously make dirt prints and have that nasty sticky sound as you’re walking on them We ended up just cleaning them with a towel and water on our first night to get the sticky off Last negative thing I’ll say was that upon checkout, when confronted with these things, the lady at the front desk rolled her eyes and said “sorry about that” And stated that she could not offer any kind of remedy to make it rightPOSITIVES:I will say that a couple of the staff members were absolutely fantastic The woman that checked us in was glorious and offered a lot of kind words and encouragement on the room key situation The breakfast wasn’t fantastic, but it was good There was cereal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, omelets, toast, bagels, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, and an assortment of drinks as well as a 24/7 coffee bar They had apples on the desk to take whenever needed and provided snacks and water on check in for Hilton rewards members Nice outdoor seating area with fire pit they light every night Smoking areas for those that need that Their lobby was clean and modern The room we stayed in was well stocked all around with plenty of dishes, utensils, etc in the kitchenette The pull-out couch bed was extremely comfortable-probably more so than the actual bedOverall, I think that if I were to ever stay here again, I’d want it in writing that I would be somehow compensated for downfalls on the hotels part rather than getting to the front desk and being told “sorry, we can’t do anything for you” I also think I’d consider other hotels with pools over this one just because one of the main reasons we chose this one was because of the pool and the later pool access hours offered For almost 200$ a night, I expected more, but maybe I’m being too harsh I am a little spoiled when it comes to hotels as my family usually stays at embassy suites or something similar…but for this trip we tried to keep housing costs lower because of our expensive vacation activities

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel from 7/22 – 7/24 We’re from out of town and were looking for an affordable place in Omaha, and this hotel was within our budget I’ll go over the pros and cons below

PROS: This hotel is in a quiet yet developed part of town I liked that it was near good restaurants and a coffee shop As for the actual hotel room, I liked how quick the AC unit was and I felt like our room (a suite) had two separate rooms When we got to the hotel, we were assigned a handicap-accessible room that did have a large bathroom The bed was comfortable, but nothing special There were 2 large TVs in our room, too I will also say that I felt like the staff was attentiveCONS: The noise is unbearable at times, depending on who is above you The people above us were up partying (with children!) until at least 2 in the morning After an hour of the loud noise and music, we called the front desk and asked if there was anything they could do considering we had an early morning + a 6-hour drive the next day The man on the phone was very attentive and said he would handle it About 10 minutes later the music stopped, but the talking did not The front desk person can’t control people chatting, so I was just thankful he talked to them in the first place! We were finally able to fall asleep after the music was off The other con was the shower in our bathroom Being it’s a handicap-accessible stall, the shower head is connected via a hose and comes off a base so someone can wash their body While this type of shower is wonderful for someone in a wheelchair, my boyfriend is 6’3 The actual shower head is probably at 5’2, and you can’t move the head to face in any different direction So when we turned the shower on, the water shot straight forward onto the floor of the bathroom It wasn’t the end of the world, but it did make showering more difficult for usOverall, I would probably stay here again but would request a room on the top floor

Dan Sullivan

I stayed here last night and had a terrible experience The room next door to us was extremely loud from 2AM-4AM They were screaming and slamming doors in both their room and in the hallway

The walls are thin and so we could hear everything and it woke us up We called the front desk 3 times but they failed to do anything Complained to the front desk in the morning and they didn’t try to do anything to make it right Didn’t realize this hotel was just a party destination I certainly won’t be staying at any hiltons anytime soon because of this and I wouldn’t recommend for anyone who is looking to get a good night’s sleep

Almost 5 stars We stayed here 2 nights The employee that checked us in was great, very friendly and accommodating

They have a free shuttle that we used, the driver was awesome! Very nice The room was clean and recently remodeled My only complaint about the room is that the fan on the A/C would not stay on It’s nice they have an enclosed walkway to get to the casino Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of hot and cold items Our last day, the employee in the breakfast area was rude and took all the food away before we could get everything we wanted When we checked out, the employee was also very short and not friendly, almost seemed inconvenienced that we were checking out Overall a good hotel with some great staff and some not so great

I was very pleased with my stay at the Holiday Inn in Council Bluffs We were traveling home to Utah from Michigan and due to a lack of sleep the night before, we decided to cut our planned twelve hours of driving down to ten hours Exhausted from driving all day, we just wanted a nice place to relax

The Holiday Inn was a great choice! The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was so comfortable I slept so well and the breakfast was very good We will stay here again

Adele N

Checking in was a breeze Front desk personnel was pleasant Inside the room was absolutely not acceptable

We traveled from WA state for a family trip and this was the most disgusting hotel of the trip Sheets were nasty, pillow had mascara and pink lipstick on it, other people’s long hair on them Bath wouldn’t drain for the life of me, it was filling up fast showering and we felt gross showering in it Kids running on the hallway late but that of course isn’t the hotel’s fault that much, makeup on sheets that were supposed to be clean is! First and last time staying at Holiday Inn

Check in process was slow My room door lock batteries were low so I couldn’t get into the room until the only employee on duty could get to it The room and common areas were clean

I was surprised to see a DVD player and DVDs to check out You could also check out a variety of other household items for your room That struck me as weird, but maybe others might appreciate that

Family friendly hotel, with a beautiful lobby area and breakfast that hits the spot for the week We had a king suite and it was a good size for 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 with enough privacy and space for everyone The pullout couch wasn’t super comfortable but kids didn’t complain

Room service came when we requested it The hot breakfast option was a good variety in the mornings but all the egg sandwiches/bowls had cheese on it and hubby is lactose intolerantStaff was very friendly and helpful I would’ve liked a quiet area in the lobby area to work Otherwise, good location to where we needed to be, with food spots in area and of course a walmart

A very clean place with a good staff Thank you to Kim and everyone else who made our stay over the Fourth of July a pleasurable one Nice people… Wonderful breakfast… And a good location in Central Omaha

We were in Omaha for 7 days due to a family member being in the hospital We changed hotels a couple of times due to the beds being horrible We arrived at Home2 and spent the next 3 nights there

It had everything we needed a comfortable bed, full kitchen with dishes and great staff! Sandra at the front desk was super helpful and always greeted us with a smile or a cheerful hello We spent our days at the hospital and it was so nice to come back at the end of the day and be able to relax in our perfect room I really wish I would of found this place first instead of wasting my money on the other 2 hotels we stayed at

Excellent hotel and excellent service The first night our ac was broken and they immediately got us to another room The lady at reception even walked to my room on the spot to see if she could help

The floors were a bit dirty but I assume it’s because of all the trafficBreakfast was great They have a variety to pick, from pancakes to eggs to cereal or oatsIf you’re looking for a good hotel, I strongly recommend this one

Honestly the best service outside of a Four Seasons Took insanely good care of my wife and I when our flight was Diverted to Omaha Shuttle was amazing, only 5 minutes to the airport, and they took us multiple times throughout the day so that we could handle the numerous issues

The bartender was fantastic and accommodating Front desk was so nice and helpful Room was great, very stylish and comfortable Great views of the stadium, and nearby restaurants and cafes

Sarah Koch

It was a nice hotel lobby & hallway were very clean Room was nice but not cleaned well, lots of dust on everything phone, lamp, desk The headboard & light switch were sticky and not cleaned and the couch cushion had a huge stain on it but was flipped over

The staff was less then friendly at both the front desk and the bar/restaurant and when calling for food service no one answered and when I went down to the bar the bartender stated she had one calls and no messages The bed was comfortable and the rooms were nice but was not as impressed with this hotel Unfortunately I probably would not stay here again

Frank Wilkins II

I chose this hotel due to it’s location for a family trip we had planned Reservation process was easy and all was good until I got to the hotel As I walked into the lobby I made it 12ft from the counter when the staff told me no early check in’s

Not a how can I help you or how is your day going great first impression by the staff This was at 2:45pm and the check in time is stated as being 3pm We where told it would be a little later due to the room not being cleaned yet Well at 5:45pm they said our room was ready When we got to the room it was far from clean Dirty carpet, hair in the tub and shower and only one shower towel Tried to call the front desk 4 times and no one answered The late check in caused us to have too alter our evening plans and miss a reservation I would NOT recommend this hotel Maybe I just had a bad experience By it’s one I won’t forget

I was very pleased with this place The suite was perfect size for my family of 6 (mom and dad took room with the king bed, 3 boys shared the room with the 2 queen beds, and my daughter slept on the pull out couch in the living room) The rooms were clean and well kept up

The pool was average hotel size, but was nice The workout facility was better than most hotels I’ve been to as the equipment was newer Most of the suites we looked at did not offer breakfast This one has a delicious breakfast with several options, and the young lady working at the breakfast area was awesome! She kept everything well stocked, and all tables and counters were wiped down and clean She was working so hard the entire time we were down there We will definitely visit again when we are in the area

Lynn Allison

This was the first time for my family staying at a Staybridge Suites We were disappointed on so many levelsWe booked adjoining king room suites

When we showed up, they asked if we received a call about accommodations?“No”She stated that the day person had called usAs she checked the number, she said, “Oh! you booked through a third party, that’s why you didn’t receive a call(Wait!,what? Did she just lie to us?😳)Then the manager, informed us that there was some sort of leak of water in our room, and they were no longer availableAll that was left was handicap adjoining queen suitesWe had no other option, as they we prepaid through a third party booking agencyWe asked for a refund of the difference, She said she would “try”, and never followed upThe hallway smelled terrible on the 3rd floor, like some type of chemical cleanerOur rooms were average, the bedding had rips in it, the Transom’s to the bathroom was ripped and broken, the handle on the bathroom door was broken and would not lock properly, the worst was the refrigerator was broken, it would make a VERY loud humming sound!!!When we called to notify the manager she said, Oh! Try changing the temperature, that will stop it😳FOUR TIMES through the night we had to change it after finally turning it off completelyOh yeah, they also have no maintenance on sight to fix anythingAlso, as we were relaxing in our room there was a domestic fight above us, the manager was very responsive, but she is left alone to handle disputes??The parking lot & side walk was in very poor conditionThe breakfast was basic, and not enough seating for as many guestsThe pool was disappointingly smallI felt bad for Lisa, the manager that she has to deal with so much, aloneThe IGH -Staybridge Suites needs to upgrade their sites if they expect to be competitive in this marketI sadly cannot recommend this location, or hotel chain

Patty Evans

The property was a convient location for the things we did ( Zoo, Botanical garden,Brass Armadillo, BK pediatrician bridge)Our room was great Spacious, clean and well supplied The breakfast staff did an awesome job keeping the hot food and coffee filled

Also wiping tables as guests left Front desk staff was friendly and efficient Thanks Scott for the great info

I was very impressed with the room It was cleaned and it also had a surprised sofa bed in the living room part of the room I wish they had a microwave

The pool was great And the amenities available to the customers with outstanding And I would definitely be a returning customer From A to Z it was very pleasant and comforting experience A little on the pricey side but it was worth it! I will return

If you’re looking for a wedding venue, DO NOT book with this place They quoted us an amount we could work with and repeatedly upped their pricing in different ways They had a 25% service fee that was never discussed until after we put down a deposit and booked with them and it was on every single thing

It was added to the room rental, the catering, and the bar Not just one 25% flat fee on everythingThey also were extremely hard to coordinate with for months I tried emailing and calling multiple times and it took forever to get my meeting with them for plans and a meal tasting On the day of my wedding, there was no one available to help us set up or tell us what was going on So we just had to fend for ourselves We had lots of family coming from out of town that stayed the whole weekend as well With all of the money that we brought to their business, I would’ve expected more professionalism and understandingOn top of all that, after the wedding and everything was done and our final bill was paid, they sent another bill that needed paid I am extremely disappointed in the professionalism and all of the extra charges that were never discussed beforehand

Cher Satisky

Our stay was great I want to highlight the chef that made the omelets to order for us every morning for three days Stephanie was wonderful, outgoing and her food was outstanding! The hotel was overrun with kids and she was a trooper! I looked forward to her breakfast every morning

I hope this review gets to her! The ladies cleaning up after all those kids were amazing as well!

The guy at the front desk was very pleasant and seemed to be very friendly and gave the impression that this was gonna be a great stay However upon checking in to the room furnishings seemed very dated and that isn’t all that bad they also had no phone in the rooms I was told they removed the phones Which is like ok how do I contact front desk if need be and vice versa

But the thing that made the stay unbearable was the place had roaches which was an immediate hard no Tried calling hotel from my cell no one ever answered my calls and then they were closed till 6am or something like that So it was just a lose lose situation for me

One of the best hotel in downtown Very clean hotel with better facilities in room I booked room with kitchen

Normally my experience is I will have only kitchen but surprisingly hotel has provided all utensils The hotel doesn’t provide free parking which is one downside but otherwise all places are nearby Really good place for family stay

heidi

Great area to walk around and explore the area The staff were so great and the room was phenomenal I really appreciated that they put us at the end of the hallway

We had our two young boys and dog I always feel so bad when they are loud The double queen room was on the outerwall so it was a lot less stressful trying to keep them quiet

Trent Nelson

We arrive at 4 PM which is “check in” time, our room is not ready until after 5 P

M I am not sure what they were doing with that extra time because they were not cleaning our room, because our room was disgustingly dirty Next the air conditioner did not work in our room, so I let them know at the desk, and naturally they cant get ahold of maintenance, and they assure us that it will get fixed first thing in the morning If you guessed that it did not get fixed the next day, or at all for our 2 night stay, you would be correct

We loved our stay at the Magnolia The staff were all friendly, welcoming and kind, from the valets, to the front desk, and Brian and Steve, the bartenders 😉 The boutique hotel has been really nicely updated and everything is very clean

The only downsides are 1) the bathrooms The bathrooms are small, like most older hotels The sliding door didn’t shut completely and handle only works in one direction So, not great, if you’re traveling with someone who doesn’t know you intimately 2) Parking They have a gated lot, but it’s $25/day, high for Omaha We don’t usually valet because we don’t like to wait for our car Other than that, only a few parking spaces out front that are metered during the day, Monday through Saturday 9am-9pmGreat downtown, try the Irish pub downstairs – great, great music and vibe All within a 6 block walk We loved it and plan to come back 🙂

Can I say this has been one of the best hotel experiences I have ever or in a very very very very long time Everyone is so nice Omaha is a tricky city to get around without your own transportation

This hotel picked me up from the airport and answered All questions I had The hotel is 4 blocks from the old market, which you can spend a few hours in and then Go a few blocks down to a beautiful park where you can relax near a cute stream and huge Slides and sculptures The hotel is very clean and dog Friendly The courtyard is amazing It was a 100 degrees here yesterday and I spent the day between old market and the Courtyard They serve complimentary MILK and COOKIES at night! They are driving me to the zoo and the Back to the airport! If anyone is looking to stay at a friendly, beautiful boutique hotel THIS IS THE ONE! Omaha folks are all so friendly but this place is the key to bringing me back again Hands down the best place in Omaha I felt like I was staying with family and friends As a solo traveler…

We were in Omaha for 5 days to see my first grandchild and stayed at the Element hotel Everything was pleasant, the staff, EVERYONE we came across at the hotel was so nice and helpful The concierge that checked us in was stellar and said he loved spider man for his honesty, he was a super friendly and super helpful guy

He handled a energy surge that happened at the hotel and the stress with grace We met a staff member with our last name, Stewart, he was super friendly and funny and would love to find out how to send him a gift The energy and renewable concept is wonderful and I appreciate itThe only things we noticed that could or should be fixed is the shower ceiling was peeling and falling apart, the caulking in the bathroom could be redone it was pretty dirty and blah But overall the room was great Thank you

If I could give 0 stars I would We booked a reservation for 2 queen beds 4-5 days ahead of time and we thought the area was nice so everything should’ve been fine right? First of all check in process took a very long time, when we got to our room, one bed was disorganized, there was used towels in the bathroom, and the trash wasn’t taken out We asked to speak to a manager about it

About 15 minutes later we have a man in sweats come up to our room and spoke to us (later to find out he’s just a shuttle driver) They tried giving us a one bedroom room with a sofa bed I said no because we came here for a 2 queen bed room not a sofa bed and one bed That is not what we paid for Fast forward to when we go to the lobby again and were told our only option was to leave because they didn’t have any other rooms available This was around 9:30-10pm Worst experience ever

EV CHARGER notes:One Tesla handle 40a/200v 8kW rate and another j1772 handle Free, huge signs on second level of garage (appears to be common) 4 hour limit, which is not advertised “destination charging”Leave note on windshield? Otherwise hotel is excellent, I could see in figure 2 handles being a huge issue Hope they upgrade to proper overnight / plenty of plugs

I can’t really give this place a bad review The staff were so friendly and helpful! Probably some of the nicest hotel staff I’ve seen in any level of hotel honestly But the rooms really need an update

The recliner is made of fake leather and it was peeled off almost the entire back of the recliner Marks all over the wall where people have reclined hard in the recliner Some of the furniture seemed to be held together with scotch tape in places

The room was fine The staff was polite However, when we notified the hotel before our arrival time of the airline canceling our flight and not being able to check in until the next day when our flight arrived, they told us we would not be charged for that first night

When we called the next morning to see if we could check in early, they told us we couldn’t check in until the regular checkin time of 3 pm I asked her again if we were being charged for the first night and she told me no, so it made sense that we couldn’t check in early However, we were charged and our room should have been ready for us Won’t stay there again

Only single rooms available when I booked doubles many months in advance I had the online confirmation and proof of payment Family of 5

1st night we spent in a single room with a queen air mattress 2nd night we asked if a double room were available We were informed that we’d have to pay $85 more for that room Why should we pay extra for a double room when we already paid for 2 nights of a double queen room? Under construction There are carpet scraps in hallways and large stains Refrigerator broken and not cooling Toilets are backing up And am confused by the lack of kitchen utensils for a kitchenette Breakfast area advertised is under construction Smoke alarm system is sounding off and has been muted But still beeping every 10 seconds and can be heard thru the doors

This was a very nice hotel for the money that we spent The rooms were clean and it had a stove and refrigerator along with it This made it very convenient for us in the short time that we stayed there

There were only 2 complaints that I had and the 1st being not having bottled water free available to their customers I would have rated this a 5 star, but I cannot rate anything that high that makes their employees wear face coverings while at work Otherwise they were courteous and friendly people

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel Stayed here for 5 months for business and did not regret a single second First of all, not only are the elevators are the fastest I’ve ever seen from a hotel, but somehow I never saw one that was broken or down for maintenance during my entire stay

The building has so much character in its decor while also being very clean and well-maintained Kyle and his the incredible staff did everything to ensure our time at the Residence Inn was spectacular From the generous free breakfast offering to the kindness and efficiency of the valets helping out with parking (Jonathan and Ava are the best!), you will be delighted you stopped in Self-parking right across the street is also a breeze Hayley and D at the front desk are so cool and great to chat with! The rooms have amazing views of downtown from all directions and easy access to all Old Market has to offer

The staff is absolutely wonderful and I mean it when I say the customer service was on par! The valets really stood out to me as going above and beyond, not just with the expected services, but their just overall friendly and helpful demeanor We rented a king suite, which was exceptionally clean and spacious The bed was pretty comfortable and my favorite part was the air conditioning/heating

It wasn’t one of those loud window/wall units, it is actually vented I can’t stand that noise, so the lack of that really provided a great night’s sleep My only complaint is the poor design of the toilet paper holder, which in my opinion was installed 180-degrees backwards To tear the toilet paper required two hands Breakfast was also amazing! Fresh food made right there, unlike a majority of hotel breakfast, it was edible!

In town for the shareholder meeting and stayed at Residence Inn Very cool historic hotel originally built in the 1930s as a federal building Assistant GM was very friendly and welcoming – told us ghost stories about the eighth floor! Great accommodations and good location to get to CHI Center and Old Market for events and meals

I had the shuttle service pick me up from the airfield – quick friendly service by a young man who has fully recovered from cancer, God bless him
