Our stay was nice The staff was excellent Our room had some items that did not work

Also, they came within an hour to fix one issue When I mentioned them at checkout they compensated us with free parking, plus $50 off our rate Location was wonderful to Poway and San Diego downtown The bed was very comfy All my special requests were accepted and completed for us Thank you to all the staff

Fernando at the front desk is a “five star man” as Dennis Reynolds would say The Courtyard is what it is, a standard 3 star hotel, it needs some love here and and there and is a place to sleep with the essentials but far from luxurious It’s fine

We were sent here by another hotel that overbooked us and there was a lot of drama that went into that so I won’t hold them accountable for any of that But because of that I arrived at 1am with lots of road weariness, frustration and zero patience I tried to not take it out on the staff but I still probably wasn’t the most pleasant person to deal with in the middle of the night But Fernando was more than understanding, maintained a positive attitude and took care of us I really appreciate all his support and because of him I’d give the whole experience 5 stars Marriott, give this man a raise

Trev Econ

Unique, you get a sense they are doing their best however some staff seem totally oblivious Some of the staff are also exceptionalOne thing is clear the rooms need serious updating especially the toilets and bathrooms are not where they should be

Otherwise if you must go, do pay close attention then leave

From check in with Leanne and all the wonderful information she gave us I could tell it was a well run Diamond location We were provided hiking locations, wineries, restaurants and even town directions as well as resort amenities and activities The room we reserved was spacious and well appointed and you can clearly see pride in maintenance and managing of this wonderful gem nestled in the hills of Ramona

The surroundings are gorgeous and the peaceful slice of heaven quite attractive for those looking for a quality location that has nice rooms, a gym, activities, pool, racquet and pickle ball courts, video check out and so much more Thanks to the staff at this location for providing a quality experience and also sharing the information and amenities that made a bid difference Also a note that Francisco and the maintenance/cleaning crew are amazing and wonderful peopleHighly recommended

Miss Valerie

We checked in this afternoonThe studio is such a great place You get your own kitchen (with all you need to cook, pan, plates, wine opener, dishwasher), living room (with fireplace) and bedroom

The bed is super comfortable and the bedroom very cute with its own TVThe bathroom is basicThe pool is heated at 82F and the hot tube perfectly hot We swam and enjoyed the hot tube in the eveningYou can do tennis, basketball 🏀 They have treasure hunts for kidsAnd the beat part the parking is freeSo really this place is awesome when you need a getaway from the world and LA

Mad Habitz

If we would have stayed a whole week or done any of the activities then we would probably give it a five star rating We only stayed for a couple of days and didn’t get to spend much time at the resort As for the room / condo/unit it was large spacious and very well accommodated but not the cleanest

There was dust under the bed and in some other areas which accounts for the docked star But I have recommended to friends and family that this is a great place to stay and very kid friendly as there is lots of activities on their list Honestly I can’t wait to stay here again due to his secluded location from the city and reminds me of home up north

This is a very elegant yet tired and dated facility The rooms are spacious yet the finishes need immediate updating The staff were friendly and helpful

Unfortunately they might have been misinformed about renovations We were told that we will be at the newly renovated garden rooms, but nothing looked renovated except maybe a new wall socket with usb outletThe patio overlooking the fairway green is beautiful The drinks were good We also attended a wedding and that was in a beautiful setting

Alice Ettinger

This is a beautiful setting with magnificent gardens, golf course, and pools The rooms are spacious, but are in need of updating Air conditioning is in desperate need of replacement

According to staff, renovations will begin in May Maid service left much to be desired, although when they finally arrived, they did a nice jobThe desk and bell service were more than accommodating and most pleasant and always cheerful

Lou Webb

As a “local” we would visit once or twice a month to enjoy happy hour on the patio Decent menu and discount, fantastic location and views The staff was also first rate

Then out of nowhere, some brain surgeon, decided that happy hour was only allowed inside The thought that it would be better to have a patio full of empty tables instead of a 3/4 full is some next level math Guess we won’t be visiting for a while

The hotel is lovely, with well maintained rooms and beds Lobby is done with Period furniture Staff are so friendly and inviting that we were immediately glad we chose this hotel

Stayed two nights Yes, it was odd to not have a tv but really gave us a look back at a simpler time Nicole was super at breakfast The food was delicious and presented beautifully! Highly recommend!

Steve Phillips

This is a beautiful vintage hotel in the heart of downtown Julian Everything about this place is authentic and warm, reminiscent of another time when we were treated like welcomed guests and visiting family The rooms are really cozy, the Wi-Fi works great and everything was so clean! The bed was comfortable and breakfast was amazing! The owner and everyone that works there really seem to like each other and enjoy working there! Treat yourself to this brilliant stretch of the universe and this really unique and historic hotel/ bed and breakfast! There are tons of restaurants and shops , pie places galore! My family and I had a great time and we will certainly be back!

My wife and I came here for our 27th anniversary It’s a small mall historic hotel decorated to the time period Quaint hotel but don’t expect extreme luxury

Room are small and no TV Pretty much bed, dresser, and bathroom There is internet connection but is a bit slow We just used our phones as hot spots Having said that my wife and i like historic hotels and don’t mind the lack of Internet or TV It’s a nice hotel that is well kept and the service is excellent There is breakfast in the morning and also coffee served as early as 6am for early risers My wife and i already know we will be returning at done time in the future

Beds were okay Could use a microwave The only other not so good things were the bathroom and mostly visual Tub needs re-coat new drain and re-caulk tub unsightly, needs re floor in bathroom the details make a difference when your paying top dollar $24500 a night Maybe its a work in progress

Nice quiet Resort Resort Our two bed apartment was well equipped very clean and quite large

We also had an electric BBQ on the patio Two very large bedrooms with a family bathroom and one en-suite A short drive to San Diego but a great place for exploring This resort does stand out even though there may not be the same level of facilities that larger resorts have The staff are pleasant friendly and very helpful

Saharrah Santiago

I am here with my family trying to enjoy the holiday with my children My suite is infested with ants I have reported this issue 3xs

I recorded a video, because it’s like 20, 30 ants There was hair in the tub and on the toilet seat I took pics The front desk staff is rude and dismissive to me They have not offered to change my suite, and I’m very disappointed in my stay here 😔Update: The manager, Chris, is unbelievable He told me to put Windex on the ants, and left a bottle of Windex outside of my suite The front desk agents, DJ and Sienna, were very unprofessional towards me when I checked in I contacted the agent that booked this suite for me (who has incredible customer service skills) they tried to resolve the issue with this room We are still waiting to change rooms It has been over 4 hours DJ told me that the AC is out in the other suite that they were going to change my family and I into I am pregnant and high risk and this is highly unacceptable Everyone does not receive the same level of customer service here

We had the most wonderful stay!! The hospitality was truly amazing and the property is gorgeous It truly felt like we were right at home Favorites included the beautiful deck (great for stargazing!), the dogs, and the breakfast

COME HUNGRY — Jim cooks an amazing breakfast and you can expect a few surprise sweet treats to make appearances during your stay Conveniently located just a few steps off the main drag, it was the perfect home base for the weekend

Janice Y

A bed and breakfast in Julian with parking, a short walk to main Street AND an opportunity to pet adorable golden retrievers?! For a relaxing weekend in Julian these were some things we considered when picking a place The owners were very nice and when we arrived 2 dogs greeted us! The location has 4 rooms and we stayed in the autumn room which has its own separate entrance and private patio Besides the dogs you may be greeted by friendly cats

Breakfast in the morning was family style and you can mingle with other groups staying there and hang out with the doggies Breakfast had a variety of things to eat which varied from homemade pancakes to individual egg dishes If you have a diet request (someone was gluten free) they will also accommodate for this Overall had a nice stay and would recommend to anyone spending a few days in this town

Patti M

My mother and I went there for Labor Day weekend and can’t say enough about our experience at this beautiful B&B  Upon our arrival we were greeted by Jim and 2 of their golden retrievers  The 3 of them made us feel right at home from the beginning

We stayed in the summer room which was cute and comfy  Actually all of the rooms are beautifully decorated and inviting  We met Julie and the rest of the gang at breakfast the next morning, and the warm welcome just continuedBreakfast was amazing every single morning  This was no continental breakfast I can assure you  It was hearty, tasty, delicious  and soooo filling  The juice was fresh squeezed, pancakes were made from scratch, fruit was local and the company (our hosts and guests) was wonderful Oh and I almost forgot to mention the daily deserts that are included in this experience Just plan on leaving a few pounds heavier because they are irresistible  That’s all I’m saying 😄  I HIGHLY recommend Eaglenest Bed and Breakfast for your stay in Julian  You will not be disappointedI have to add a personal note to this review  Jim and Julie were such incredible people that went far beyond what I could have expected  My 88 year old mom’s vertigo acted up and it limited her ability to join us for 2 mornings  Julie brought her favorite tea to the room one morning and Jim was nice enough to bring her breakfast the 2nd morning which mom LOVED!  They did not have to do that and I really appreciated it more than I can say  Jim’s breakfast gave her energy so mom was able to play tourist again that afternoon! What more could I ask for?!?!  I feel so lucky to have met them both

The Julian Lodge is a nice and historic hotel, but it is setup like a modern motel All the rooms are accessible via an outside hallway The rooms are nice and the hotel is kept well

The cleaning staff do a great job However, for the price, I would expect more There is no breakfast served I enjoyed my stay here and in the town of Julian but I feel this price is too high for the lack of ambience and breakfast service

Bernhard Nelson

Really enjoyed the hotel and the staff! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Very quaint and quiet! The New TV in the room I occupied, was wonderful! I had stayed previously and they were in the process of getting a new cable provider! Andrew, the General Manager and his staff, are to be commended for their outstanding service! I look forward to returning soon!

Travis Moe

We enjoyed our stay despite some COVID and small town issues The breakfast part of the Bead and Breakfast did not exist Mgmt says that’s due to COVID, but most of those restrictions had been lifted at the time of our stay

It would have been nice to have breakfast each morning The cable just happened to be shut off and the service provider out of business too So no TV or movies in bedBut… the staff was great The coffee was tasty The beds were clean and comfortable I appreciated the free wifi fast enough to stream movies They didn’t bat an eye at our huge dog staying with us Prices were a little high given the cut in services, but still reasonable Can’t beat the location of your goal is to just kick around town PCT hikers were everywhere and I appreciate a place that is friendly to hiker trash and dirtbags LolDefinitely would go back

We loved our stay at the Julian Inn! I met my boyfriend in Julian during his first stop on the PCT and we decided to stay at the Julian Inn because of the reviews and they offer discounts to PCT hikers They also allowed him to do his laundry for free of charge! We ended up staying another night because we loved our room so much! The owner even allowed my dog to come which is great because he is a senior and very hard to leave at home The Inn seems to be a converted house that has 5 rooms for people to stay at

Our room had a very comfortable bed, couch, desk, mini fridge, microwave, TV, and bathroom The view in the bathroom was gorgeous because it outlooked the wilderness We also loved the location because it was just 5 minutes walking outside of town which gave us a secluded vibe With Covid we were the only people staying there so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! This place really made our stay in Julian so magical and we cannot wait to go back!

Cade Huninghake

My stay at the Inn was fantastic The check-in was easy (up front it tells you your room number, and the door is unlocked with the key inside) there is no staff on site, so if you do have issues it could be a problem The only complaint was the room was small and packed with lots of useless stuff

Maybe it was for the ambience but it made the room even smaller taking up space The bed was comfy, the satellite TV was nice and the bathroom was a decent size It is in walking distance of the main Street in Julian and id stay again if I go back to Julian

Best place we have ever stayed at! The owners were so attentive and hospitable The decor, rooms, service, and food you can tell were all carefully thought out I would highly recommend eating dinner here versus out in town as you will receive 5 star service here with exceptional food

The grounds are breathtaking We enjoyed walking the grounds everyday, relaxing on the hammock, watching the turkeys roam about Absolutely breathtaking! The Inn is a short walk to the main strip, but a good distance away from the hustle and bustle

This was my husband and my first time here As we pulled up on the Harley we were greeted right away by Mike who was very friendly and welcoming Mike even went as far as clearing out a space by the house to park the Harley! We then walked up to the main house and met Laura who was very welcoming and friendly as well and asked us if we needed anything

Mike showed us to our room which was warm, stocked with soft and thick toilet paper, makeup remover towels, q-tips, a hair dryer, plates, silverware, utensils, a keurig with good flavored creamers and 2 waters The heater that looks like a fireplace works well and was cozy The bed and sheets were comfortable and the room was clean My favorite part was the open tavern stocked with liquor, all kinds of snacks from chips to cookies to candy bars to Klondike bars, sodas, beers, juice, cups, frozen white castle burgers and burritos! The best part it was open all night long Our room was by the pool and the pool is even designed with fish in the tiles, cute but too cold to swim The Inn is walking distance to town This place did not skimp on any details and we will be back again for sure The price was fairly reasonable and worth it compared to other motels/hotels in Julian that only give you a room for the same cost We will be back and we appreciated the hospitality! This is a must see and stay motel!!

john d.r.

My wife and I stayed this weekend at the Oak Hill Inn in Julian it was very nice check in was super easy via Air B&B, it would be easier to find the room if there was a sign with numbers and what not

But luckily when we arrived we were greeted and shown the room, and told that signs are going to be added very soon the room was very comfortable and the shower nice and hot the bed was comfy with 4 pillows altogether we will stay here again if we are in Julian, and so should you

Donna Renner

Private Great peace-filled getaway I will stay again however reluctant to refer friends without saying that it is not thoroughly clean accommodations

There are cobwebs in a cabinet, a hair in the bathroom sink, I cleaned the dirty reusable vent in the wall fan/cooler The ceiling fan is dirty, I chose not to clean it and therefore did not run it Mildly “itchy scratchy” Affordable, quiet, walking distance to town, and a great get away! I will consider a return Pictures on website are not current There are no fireplaces or woodburning stoves and areas look more spacious than they are

Hotel overall was nice It seemed well-maintained which was a good first sign when checking My room was clean and quiet

Air conditioning worked great Pool was not too crowded and the hot tub was great Parking is $15 to be in the garage or you can park on the surface lot for free It’s a good central location to the freeway and grocery stores and coffee shops you may want to use when traveling I did not use room service or make any room requests, so I can’t rate those experiences Would stay here again if I’m ever in Poway

Raul Martinez

I want to educate people of my recent stay at this facility which was like a motel at a truck stop When I made my reservation I should have been informed the facility was being remodeled The vulgar/foul mouth Construction workers who were working on the facility and staying there were frequenting the bar, flirting with the young female bartender who was enjoying the attention, near the dining area where my wife, and I sat trying to have a meal after a long trip

The atmosphere and hotel was unacceptable There was debris, and dust throughout the hallways Hallways and our room smelled of freshly painted doors and rooms which could be affected someone with respiratory issues The only available elevator had nasty and dusty padding blankets hanging within it possibly to protect the interior The hallways had debris and trash in it Our room was not cleaned nor any fresh towels given to us, until I called to ask for some, which came about an hour later I voiced my concerns, and a representative offered me some type of bonus points No thanks I am never staying at a Hilton in the future especially there

We went for a one night stay Saturday through Sunday The room was clean and had a microwave, mini fridge, keureg and hair dryerFor $200/night we got a 3rd story room facing the dumpster because they are remodeling

Less than thrilled with that Also, the restaurant and room service are closed during the remodeling In addition the only elevator you can use is covered in construction blankets that hold all the dirt being ejected during the remodel Not great for anyone with asthma or other respiratory issuesParking is NOT included in your room price It’s an additional $15/night to park your carOverall it seemed to be Hilton prices with a Motel 6 experience

We literally had the best sleep of our lives! This place is a great getaway from the everyday and gives you a lot of areas to relax with your loved ones Close to downtown Julian so you can enjoy the shops and restaurants The community room was great place to hang out and meet others including the owner who was very friendly and you can tell he cared about everyone having a great time

We will definitely be back!

Went to this quaint hotel in the country by Julian in the mountains of San Diego County to get away for 2 nights I found hummingbirds, lot’s of wildlife, deer’s, wild hens and bees humming The hotel had goats and even 2 lamas

The slowing in pace for even a few hours supported me gaining clarity and focus The room was clean and comfortable I had my own outdoor patio area which was nice Every room has it’s own theme Most rooms have a jacuzzi either indoor or outdoor Plenty of other areas to hang out at around the property Easy neighborhood walks all around Enjoy your special trip to Julian at the Wikiup Hummingbird hotel

For the money, I don’t believe you’ll find a better place to stay The rooms have everything you need They are super clean, smell nice, well kept and attractive

Everything works The fridge is large Water pressure is stunning good! The bed is huge and comfortable as well For the small size rooms, they are nonetheless packed with all the basics without feeling cramped The woman who checked me is was very nice too! All around very very good service I recommend this place to stay Most times at this price I don’t But this Motel is a real exception If you need an affordable place to stay mostly just to sleep then be on your way, then book You’ll be happy 😊

This was a gem! My son and I were in San Diego for soccer Most of the team stayed at a brand name hotel for three times the price I booked this one based on reviews and being 7 miles from the team hotel

It did not disappoint The room was clean and updated We had a small table, desk, fridge and microwave King bed was comfortable The pool was available (unlike the expensive team hotel) The day and evening staff were friendly as well There is no breakfast (COVID) so that is where the fridge and microwave came in handy Thank you for providing a great place at a very reasonable price Budget for the win!

My single room was so tiny Everything was clean and neat but minimal Nice to have a microwave and mini-refrigerator

The bed appeared to be okay but I found it too high and uncomfortable Was up most of the night from all the sounds around the room The staff was extremely nice They were the best part of the stay The television was off to the side of the room so had to angle myself in bed to view it The bathroom was directly in front of the bed ( remember TINY ROOM) so they had no choice but to put the TV on the only wall If the room was a bit bigger I would definitely return Hopefully they have bigger rooms elsewhere in the place Oh yeah, bring your own cups Only 2 tiny plastic cups No cup in bathroom A really mixed review Sorry
