We stayed at this hotel in October of 2020 when we were en-route to Florida We decided to stay near Savannah for a couple of days and this hotel was the perfect fit for us It is right near the highway and is only a 15-20 minute drive into Savannah

and way cheaper than staying in Savannah I’m not sure when this hotel was built but it seemed pretty new Although there were restrictions in place because of Covid, the hotel and staff were SO accommodating It was very clean and comfortable We are looking forward to staying there again later this year

Ally Ann

We tried to stay here, we checked in and then right back out We always do a mattress check, because we all saw that 60 minutes documentary Well

We found bugs, plural Nested in the mattressThey were alive and kickingWe showed the attendant on site, ans they stated the manager would have to issue the refund Weeks went by and nothing had to call 4 more times to get a manager, and 3 weeks later we had the refund The thing is, the onsite attendant did not seemed surprised by the photos and did not seem shocked 😑Wanted to warn everyone as i wish I had known, the reviews looked fine And we had to drive home 4+ hours instead of staying the nightAlso, black build up on the mattress

My husband and I were in town for a week celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary What an amazing experience! Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, breakfast offered many choices, hot breakfast may i add! Staff was friendly and helpful! Warm, comfortable, quite, and inviting environment! Must give much accreditation to Jeremiah, Jaliah, and Greg!!! They gave an abundance of advice and suggestions were to go, what to eat etc They are such an assest to this company!! They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent and it was just that! They have such amazing, blessed, and immense futures just ahead!! Jeremiah went out of his way to bless us with the most delicious cake ever on our anniversary!! We will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this place to stay if you’re looking for a home away from home stay

Thanks to the young man that got us the toilet tissue, and helped us figure out the sink!! Sorry forgot his name, young african american guy God bless until next time Jeremiah, Jaliah, and Greg 👏

I stayed in this hotel on a trip to Florida They had a breakfast buffet set up from 6:30-9:30 and it consisted of warm biscuits and gravy, 3 different omelet choices, sausage, toast and various breads, bagels, sweet breads, a variety of cereals, yogurt, various juices, great coffee (both regular and decaf) and pancakes I thought the buffet was very good

The room was clean and updated The bed was comfortable The only downside was that going to Florida the cost of the room was over $200 and coming back the same room was $130 which I didn’t understand why the difference in the charge for the same room other than the first time I stayed there all the surrounding hotels were booked The staff were friendly and accommodating as well I would recommend this Holiday Inn Express

Naomi Davis

Went on a weekend getaway with my husband to this hotel When we checked in they were sweet and helpful We enjoyed the breakfast every day!! Pancakes, sausage, bacon, omelettes, muffins, cereal, fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls

all were great!! Beds were super comfy and rooms were well equipped! My main complaint was the pool pump was broken and thus the water was freezing! Hoping they get that fixed or put in a hot tub lol!

Cheryl Jones

I don’t understand the bad reviews this hotel is getting, all I can say is these folks seem to be finding some pretty petty things to complain about I have stayed in hotels all over the country some of them 4 diamond and this is by far one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been in We were always asked if we wanted full housekeeping and since we were only there for 2 days we opted to only replace towels ,coffee soap etc

and have bed made There was never a problem with staff taking care of our every request Check in and out easy staff helpful and friendly Pool was still closed but part they were waiting for came in and pool was fixed that day Breakfast better than most places these days Hotel is in excellent location close to most everything you would want right off I 95 but we had no problem with noise I have NO problem recommending this property to anyone wanting a great place to stay

The hotel staff was very friendly when my husband and I just needed a place to stay for a few hours of sleep The room was clean and the dove toiletries were probably the nicest I’ve gotten in a hotel for sometime You’re really close to the airport, which is convenient if that’s what you need

For us, we needed a hotel near the highway to continue driving north There is a gas station (with a little more expensive pricing, probably due to the airport proximity) right outside It’s not 24 hours so if you’re facing that direction in your room, you’ll still have a nice, dark room For the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, and proximity to the highway, I give it 5 stars

May 2022 stay Hair all over the bathroom floor and shower, blood on the bedding, and as an added bonus the walls were so thin we could hear the man snoring next door Thankfully we decided to keep our rental car an extra day because the shuttle does not run before 6:30 AM, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of staying at an airport-adjacent hotel

The schedule was not mentioned on the website I only gave as many stars as I did due to the size of the room, the ease of check-in and check-out, and the friendliness of the front desk

In short, nice hotel but rooms aren’t clean This is my second time staying here and each time the rooms and gym fall short on cleanliness The carpet wasn’t properly vacuumed, the floors aren’t mopped and are dirty

There’s trash and food on the floor between the nightstand and bedThe tubs aren’t properly cleaned between visits and the shower curtain liner has mildew and stuff splattered on it We brought this to the front desks attention during our first stay and they said they’d tell the manager the following morning and offered nothing in the way of accommodations for us that day For this to be such a beautiful hotel, it’s not as clean as it should be

Carlyn Baker

One of the most joyous hotel stays I have had in a while From the time of checking in, the staff went out of their way to happily greet everyone that walked through the doors The rooms were spacious and very clean with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on

The breakfast and evening reception was out of this world and the crew who heads them up were fantastic They made it a point to ensure ALL guests were enjoying their time In fact, they made my whole trip! I cannot wait to return to Pooler just so I can stay at Homewood Suites again!

Jeannie

Came over for a 2 night stay Room was old and the bathroom tub didn’t drain well and the tub fixtures were loose Bathroom had mold growing near the vent

The hook behind the door was broken and the back of the door was all scratch up We stayed in a room with balcony but not so much of a view The whole room just didn’t feel like it was cleaned well We had a tub of lysol and had to wipe all the counters and handles Also parking costs $39 a day

Stayed here while on a business trip to the Savannah area Hotel is in a good location with many stores & places to eat nearby Good sized rooms

We were on the first floor but didn’t experience any noise from outside or above our room Room was clean Included a desk that doubled as a table Had a small refrigerator, sink, coffee pot & microwave There was a full complimentary breakfast available in the morning that was very good with plenty of seating No issues during our 3 night stay The parking was convenient with additional space in the back Lot was well lit in the evening Overall, we found the Pooler area seemed nice & safe The hotel & surrounding places were family friendly & we felt safe shopping at night In addition, the hotel did a fine job hosting our business event

Robert Long

Good location and comfortable, but hotel needs some love and policy changesCheck in/out was fast and easy and staff was always helpful and polite The room was comfortable and the climate control was fantastic

Parking is free and there seems to be plenty The showers are not good and lack sufficient water pressure The pool was closed the entire timeThe hotel needs some detailed cleaning/maintenance For example, the waterfalls behind the check-in counter are non-functional and in disrepair The lobby fountain is covered in green algae   These two things are the very first thing you see upon entering and immediately lower the appealThe hotel is extremely wasteful The amount of waste generated from breakfast alone is appalling and can’t be blamed on COVID any longer The same can be said about the managers reception Everything is plastic wrapped This might be tolerable if the hotel offered a recycling option, but it does not

Raul Barboza

Overall it is an excellent place It is your typical Embassy I didn’t give it a 5 star because the rooms needed a little attention

The room was missing 3 important items: iron, iron board and the do not disturb sign Everything was easily corrected The entrance door to the room needs to be fix, very hard to open I will report the door on my departure day

Thanks too the manager he was so very nice and professional and fixed my cancelled reservation I been in the hotel industry 36 years, 20 years as a GM, it makes a difference Just a little word, train or develop a tool so your desk agent know how too handle small issues so they don’t become big ones, never tell the guest no or sorry oh well

Be empowered too make a difference Location is very accessible and room is very nice Thank you Sir🤜🤛

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel The only thing that would have been better

a longer stay! The room was large and clean The beds were super comfy The TV had my name on the screen and all of the streaming apps were loaded and ready to use Check in was quick and easy with best front desk staff! The breakfast area was kept super neat and clean by the attendant I’m so sad that I forgot her name I loved that the waffles were pre-made for those that wanted them Self service waffle making stations are too messy and take too long The hotel is within walking distance of many eateries in a quiet part of town It’s right off of the highway which makes locating it very easy Free breakfast, free wifi, free parkingThere is nothing negative that I could say about this place

Daren Jones

Room had great amenities Including the high level of noise from being 100 feet from I-95 on ramp from SR 21 Also the great level of noise from the hallway, and the nearby ice machine

With that said, to someone who isn’t a light sleepwe and didn’t already ask for a quiet room, wouldn’t be an issue When I spoke to the front desk about it the next morning, they informed me there were plenty of other, more quiet rooms available Will definately take this into consideration if, I come backThe breakfast was a good finish to a stay, however, the area is congested, and with only 1 waffle iron, waiting for breakfast is a pain

We enjoyed our stay The room was clean The staff was helpful and friendly

The breakfast was deliciousThere were a few minor inconveniences (our room didn’t have enough towels, we were missing hand soap and shampoo, and the pool towels were too small to even be considered towels) but nothing that would keep us from visiting here again Great value for the price

Lisa Torrini

Pros first: Friendly staff, great location off I95 near decent restaurants, pet friendly, clean room and hotel, good breakfast, nice pool areaCons: Ripped bedspread which we noticed when we first arrived in the room, we took photos and then immediately brought the bedspread to the front desk Clerk did not replace it, told us to bring it back to our room and said she would report it

We did not hear back, so no bedspread for the night We put it in the closet, as we did not want to damage it further, then in the morning left it out with a note on it for the cleaning staff to see, and reported it to the front desk again in the morning The morning clerk wrote it up, we don’t know how it was handled after that It would have been nice to have been acknowledged by management so we didn’t feel like we might be somehow held responsible, and it also would have been nice to have a replacementWe also reported and took photos of the huge approx 1′ gouge on the right base of the credenza It was obvious that it was not new, but we wanted to report it, similar to a walk around with a rental carWe generally try to stay at La Quintas, staff is usually friendly and professional and we like that they are pet friendly This is the first negative review we’ve posted

Elise M

Although the people were very friendly and the room seemed clean, my mother woke up, turned on the lights and had a cockroach next to her It 8 AM, which is later than the normal hours for cockroaches and typically means a wider infestation (I unfortunately discovered this after doing some research on their cockroaches) It also didn’t move when the lights were turned on and it saw us…also not a good sign for infestations

It was alive when we captured it and gave it to the front reception We were told to email the manager Just as horrifying as the event itself is the fact it has now been 48 hours since my mother sent the manager an email with a photo and she has not received a response!!! This is completely unacceptable We have stayed at this hotel before and not had an issue but based on the lack of response from the manager over such an event we will no longer stay here (I confirmed the email address was correct based on the business card my mother was given from the reception) Apparently, they don’t think cockroaches are a big deal in your bed, so beware if you are staying here! (I will update this on the off chance the manager ever responds to my mother’s email)

We spent 2 nights with our dog We found the hotel itself to be just average while the staff was outstanding and the breakfast was above average for this type of hotel complimentary meals Hallway carpeting needs replacement

They have a reasonable area for walking but nothing special for the petTip: Don’t accept a room location on the back of the East side of the building Noisy commercial kitchen fan, dumpsters and what appears to be permanent container storage can create more noise than appropriate

Renee Aldred

We recently visited Savannah and stayed at this hotel and the staff were wonderful and very friendly The reason I rated this is hotel 2 stars is because our bathroom was not clean There was hair left in the shower and on the counters

There was also hair all over the bed and pillows!!! I was very upset with the cleanliness at this hotel The selection of breakfast was not the best Overall great staff but definitely the hotel needs to improve on some other areas especially with charging the price to stay! I hope this helps someone

C Hello

My room had the bathroom door lock broken and if you ad to it that is made of a non transparent glass, you feel really uncomfortable using it You feel that everyone can look at you when you go to do your business I would of choose other type of door and at least that can be closed 😅

But the place is great location is great, has a tiny gym as well, breakfast was good, I will replace the drip coffee for an espresso machine But that is a personal preference on coffee 😄 Overall great

After getting off 95 due to intense weather last night, we stopped at this hotel to get two rooms at a cost of of over $31000, including a deposit The woman with long braids checking us In was extremely rude to the point of me asking if I had upset her, to which she replied something about she was trying to get people checked in

At the end I wish her the best and hoped things got better for her for and still a snide remark, no apology I work in customer service at a plumbing company and know the importance of good customer service and you need to change your front desk staff Room was nice, but no sheets for pull out bed and I certainly wasn’t going back down to the front desk to ask her Nice staff this morningI feel like I was robbed by the price and the staff being horrible at check in

Amity Pickeral

We are traveling to FL and just needed a quick place to stay overnight Being after midnight when we decided to call it a night, many hotels were full as it’s a holiday weekend and no online reservation sites would allow me to check availability or reserve a room From the reservation phone line to the front desk, everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating

The signature Hampton Inn mattress was amazing as always, and the water pressure in the shower was perfect Clean room, friendly housekeeping staff, too!

Lorna Davis

Nice, new facility, friendly staff, clean environment, great warm breakfast Our room had an odd set-up: there is 1 big sliding door which either covers the closet or the bathroom We arrived fairly late after a tiring day and couldn’t find a tv remote

The gentleman at the front desk offered to bring one right up but we were too tired to wait The bed was very firm which is not comfortable for me but that is personal preference There were only 4 pillows for the 2 of us which was inadequate, hence the loss of 1 of the stars I would have otherwise given The price is on the high side so I did expect more

3 out of 5 stars because of certain reasons The washer was inoperable during my stay Had to go to a competitor to wash clothes

Front desk would not charge 4-5 dollars on my room to get quarters for the washing machine No dollar/coin machine in laundry room Only one working elevator in the hotel Shuttle to shopping and airport were pretty standard Drivers were very hospitable Ms Connie, at the front desk, was very helpful in calling other hotels to ask if their patrons could use their laundry rooms Continental breakfast pretty standard for a Hampton Inn

Sim Simas

Our room had not been cleaned, the battery to our next room had dead batteries in it, so we were unable to get in our room and it took a while We are thankful for the rooms, but it put a damper on the romance Sorry for the review being so negative

I encourage people to go there and see for themselves I’m sure it is not like that daily, but maybe just this once

The 4 stars reflects what I experienced vs what I expected This is not to say it is a 4 star hotel That said, it delivered what I expected

I’m a business traveler It was easy to find and right off the highway The hotel and rooms are clean and obviously cared for Did not visit the pool Free breakfast is appreciated, with hot food, cereal, yogurt and fruits Good selection of channels on the TV No tub in my room, just a stand up shower Water pressure sucks, but that’s what I’ve come to expect from hotels The staff is friendly and check in was a breeze There are a few dining options nearby but nothing special You only have to travel 15-20 min to find a decent sit down place though

Nadia Sakkal

Excellent experience: my husband and I had car problems on a long road trip to Maryland and the entire staff was nothing short of accommodating and generous Not only were we given the room at a discounted rate, but we were also able to check out late while our car was being repaired The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and everyone was extremely friendly

Just when I thought they couldn’t be more hospitable, the manager himself was kind enough to drop us off at the repair shop Highly recommended establishment!

Britney Honeywell

We stayed one night on our travel to Florida The receptionist was very helpful, friendly and super accommodating The lobby and room were VERY clean and modern

(And I am a pretty big skeptic/germaphobe) Location is also great- right off I95 so we could get right back to our travel in the AM Amazing price and great level of quality including a breakfast! Literally cannot beat it We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

We stay here often enough to notice the little things Like the faucets in the bathroom are loose there is piles of caulking in the showers which are always a little moldy But over all the rooms are clean and the pillow selection is great

The black out curtains are great We usually stay in a suite so we have plenty of space The front desk is great There’s no free breakfast which is a bummer And the restaurant breakfast is nothing to write home about and is over priced

Dhruvika Patel

Our stay here was pleasant considering location, modern and clean room and bathroom But the front desk was not at all pleasant experience Most of the time during our stay no one was at front desk

We didn’t have enough towels, toiletries in our room( the most basic toiletries)When we went to ask the front desk guy for extra towels he said they don’t have any clean ones so he will check and let us know Hotel didn’t have water facility anywhere on their premises not even in gym(they had machine with no water) The front desk guy on night shift would go on smoke break even when customers were waiting at the desk and would just casually say smoking is necessary customers can waitThey need to train their front desk staff to provide proper customer service

Terkessa Smith

The five stars goes to the front desk, Malaysia, the cashier in the restaurant, and the housekeepers, Linda, Mary & Marilyn Awesome job! Very friendly Now the hotel on the other hand, they get “2” stars because they do not have enough towels

The Hotel is clean and in a great location, but management need to order some linen for how much these rooms are!

Is saddens me that I had to put my review down to two stars, after many inconveniences were happening from the hotel from not having any Internet for almost a week and a half to cable services acting up for two weeks due to all the storm weather

I recently moved to another hotel room within the hotel and notify front desk that I will let them know when I’m ready to return the key after retrieving of my things Housekeeping took it upon themselves to retrieve most of my items that I left behind even though I’m still in the hotel thevies instead of taking the initiative to say hey you left some personal items there do you still need them? Instead they steal it walked past me like nothing and when I questioned them have an attitude it’s unprofessional and it’s way too much things going on here I don’t recommend this hotel unless you’re planning to stay one or two weeks top not a month because they seem to take a advantage of you They also steal mail 😫

Pro: The staff was excellent (helped take luggage to the room), location was great, overall cleanliness was goodCons: the hotel amenities are mediocre for this to be a new hotel The elevator is broken, ice machine is on the 1st floor only, don’t seem too bad unless you are on the 4th floor, like me (again no elevator)

This hotel was surprisingly nice! Super clean and located in a great area I was traveling from Florida to Maryland (a 1000 mile road trip) I decided to stay overnight in the Savannah area near of the I-95 I was very happy to see a fairly modern and commercial area, with different well-known stores and many options for restaurants, pharmacies and convenience stores

Upon entering the hotel, Reese, the receptionist was very friendly, attentive and professional, then when I opened the door of the room I was very pleased with feel the cleanliness and comfort totally worth

Wasn’t expecting much when I drove up but at the end of my stay, I will admit that this is one of the cleanest and friendliest placed I have ever stayed My reservation was made for me and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was booked into a suite with (almost) a FULL kitchen –the room had a disposal and a dishwasher! It wasn’t until the second day that I realized they’re pet friendly too My room was so incredibly clean that I could hardly believe that a pet had ever occupied the suite

Friendly check-inGreat staff at the breakfast buffetBUT THAT CLEANING CREW, THO!!!Outstanding!Would stay here again over any other place in Savannah!

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel from 10/09/2021-10/11/2021 and the staff there was amazing The area the hotel was in was safe and clean and the facility looks well maintained The bathrooms were clean and always stocked with toilet paper

When i went to get breakfast the person at the area was very nice and helpful and answered any and all questions I had The restaurant offers a hit breakfast that consists of waffles that you can make yourself Two different kinds of sausage, omelets, cereal, granola bars, etc My room was super clean and neat and smelled nice Overall I had no complaints at all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area

The stay was okay The only issue I had was at 9:30 am the maid was knocking on the door asking if I was checking out Now the check out time is 12pm which is one of the reasons I wanted to stay

I wasn’t happy with her knocking on the door so early since I am a night shift worker at a mental hospital and was on a mini vacay I responded to her knocking with I had not requested a wake up call Hopefully this will be addressed for other individuals who stay

When we arrived at 3:00 there was no room ready despite the fact that I had booked a handicapped accessible room days in advance I had to wait 15 hours and still did not get the room that I wanted as I had my elderly grandmother and needed a room equipped for her and all they could give me after the long wait was a hearing impaired room

There did not seem to be much urgency in getting a room ready until we asked to speak with a manager who was apparently unavailable We are reward members and expected much better treatment Not happy at all with how this was handled If you are booked out and need help cleaning rooms for incoming guests, hire more help

I stayed at this location with my husband and our nine month-old daughter for our annual Christmas trip The attendant who checked us in was friendly and gave me 500 ihg points upon arrival The room was immaculately clean and exactly what we needed

Breakfast was good as well We only experienced minor inconveniences: the phone would not call the front desk and only gave us a busy signal One time, housekeeping did not come by, but the front desk attendant gave us new towels We would definitely stay here again! It is a convenient location to Savannah, and it saved us a ton of money instead of staying downtown

Upon checking in there was a little bit of a delay But nothing that was too bad And it helped that the receptionist had a great attitude

The site that I purchased with rated the hotel as a 4 star At best its a 35 star because of its location The room itself was of 3 star quality , the furniture was dated and appeared that a dog had been been on the beverage station And the bed and pillows where extremely soft if you like that sort of thing And the hallways where extremely hot ! As was the weather outside There was no thrills about the hotel except location for shopping

When choosing a Hilton property to stay in the Savannah area, mark this one off your list I loved the layout of the room (bedroom and sitting area separated) But the TVs are so outdated

The picture quality was poor and there is no HDMI ports to hook your laptop up for streamingBreakfast is not worthy of indulging No free morning coffee other than the pods in your room No free breakfast for Gold or Diamond members Instead a credit that will not cover what used to be a good breakfast Even if it did, the food was horrible, Steel Cut oats looked and tasted like something you would see served in prison And $8No sure why Hilton properties are going downhill This one is really not worthy of the Hilton name

Poor management Waited over an hour for the shuttle and was told multiple times it was on the way Got to the hotel to discover it was not on the way for me

Flight crews take priority Hotel is run-down Rooms are outdated, musty, holes in the walls and not clean (see pics) The gym has no water, no towels, pool and restaurant are out of order I could go on but I haven’t gotten to the real issue…management Called and left a message for Keith Smith…no response Sent him an email…no responseYour general manager is your problem!
