Not horrible, but far from good My room was dirty when I checked in, stains all over in the bathroom Hot tub had a black film floating in it

Part of the ceiling was missing in the pool room From the look of it for a long time Staff was nice and the breakfast was better than the average hotel All and all for the cheap price its not bad

Angela Faubion

First room that I was given hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guest left Second room was better but not by much The soap had been placed on a dirty soap dish that wasn’t wiped off

I noticed dirty wet towels behind a door as I was leaving in the morning that didn’t belong to me I told the staff but they didn’t care The pool was green & the chlorine was so strong that you could smell it from the hotel desk When entering the pool room, I had to leave right away because the chlorine burned my eyes I will never stay at this location again! Hotel is GROSS!!

Jason Sethre

Stayed there last night Hotel wreaked of Marijuana everywhere in the building Went down to workout in the exercise room at 5:30 am, no towels

Went to front desk to get towels Lobby had the worst pot smell of anywhere in the building We talked to friends of ours, who also stayed in the hotel that night The pot smell was so strong that all of us could smell it in our rooms throughout the night This hotel has a weed issue We won’t be staying there again

The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, but this hotel needs an update It definitely shows some wear My last day I had a late flight back to LA and arranged for a late check out

Apparently nobody informed housekeeping They banged on my door at 9am Not happy about that Underground parking is a plus especially if you stay here in the winter Would I stay here again? I think that I will spend a few more dollars next time and stay in a hotel that’s a little more up to date

Got this place for my boyfriend and I plus my brothers and I wanted a place that offered separate rooms for that Was perfect! My boyfriend said, “this is bigger than some of the apartments I’ve lived” And he fell in love with the bed immediately

Loved the little kitchen My brothers loved the pool and gym room I wish the breakfast was better but was still better than other hotels I’ve been Mostly wanted an egg option with no cheese but I get that most people like eggs and cheese together

Mike Hollingsworth

I was charged $1,400 randomly days after my stay, when i was charged an up front fee of $750 on the day of the stay I’ve been trying to talk to the manager but haven’t been successful There are also failed attempts to charge my debit card on file more than a handful of times

I would highly recommend you stay away from this hotel! I am looking into legal action for this matter

Great service!Excellent guest service from gentleman in the breakfast area I believe his name is George This man was wonderful to our whole family that was in Minneapolis for a wedding

He was super helpful, kind and kept a very clean dining areaFront desk staff were friendly and helped my father by printing out a map Very friendlyMaintenance gentleman was super helpful and made sure we were perfectly set up in conference room Didn’t want us to have to worry about anythingRooms were clean and I slept like a baby!Manager was easy to work with while helping coordinate the rooms and paid attention to our needs! All the way around a great experience!

Stephanie Niccum

The hotel looks very nice Aside from a few housekeeping issues such as a dirty shower floor the rooms were ok Our pull out had no sheets, pillows, blankets

We had to ask for them and all we received was a blanket that was just placed on the front desk for us yo have to pick up The first night was one of the worst nights sleep I have ever had There was a group partying next door to us Loud music, yelling, slamming doors, etc We called the front desk and they “warned” them I called a 2nd time and the front desk wouldn’t answer when I called on the room phone so I called with my cell phone They “warned” them again alas this party was not going to stop and they were still at it at 2:30 am When I asked the front desk about it in the morning I was met with contention My suggestion if you have an issue with noise complaints don’t even bother with the front desk just call the cops The workers here are useless The breakfast wad also less than to be desired They have toasters with cream cheese and butter but only offered pre wrapped muffins What a joke

Alison Tisdell

The service was extremely poor The staff was not knowledgeable about any questions we had We had reserved a double queen room and were put in a single king room

This does not work when we have children with us The light socket in our room had prongs from a cord stuck in it The doors didn’t close all the way They held over $1100 on my card while we were there When we asked for clean towels for our room they were left sitting on the dirty hallway floor instead of put in our room I will never be staying at this hotel again

I arrived shortly before the 3 pm check in I was informed my room was not ready yet No big deal

The worker let me know that he would tell me once my room was ready He must have forgotten since he shortly after 3 pm I waited in the long line that had formed to speak with a different front desk worker We had booked the king suite with the jacuzzi tub It was extremely difficult to open and close the door to the room The room was put together but the fixtures were questionable The front pannel for the tub was halfway off The room smelt slightly wet The floor by where the tile and carpet meet was spongyThe mattress was off of the rotate cycle – the tag of the mattress was January, February, March We stayed in August They do not properly flip and rotate the mattress Only noticed this because we check for bed bugs None of those thankfullyThe grout in the shower looked dirty The wall by the bathroom sink was dirty, like someone splashed coffee on the wall The wall by the garbage and mini fridge was also dirty, pretty sure there was blood on the wallBreakfast was okay The pool area was clean

Jessica Wood

There were SEVERAL hairs on the floor of then bathroom The bathroom was filthy Workout room filthy

Bathroom near check-in desk filthy Walls dented and dirty Both pools closed with no warning I checked in, worked out, found some sort of bone/food item on the floor of the gym, went to the room to find what appeared to be hair from several different people on the bathroom floor, asked for a refund and left I have no idea where these good reviews are coming from

Samantha Visinski

If I could leave less than one star, I would This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in The rooms are filthy

There is hair everywhere Hair all over the bathroom floor, on the towels, in the bed The room was dusty, cob webs, tile coming off the walls in the bathroom, what looks like blood on the bathroom walls, the mirrors and windows have prints/splashes all over them I had to change the sheets myself When I asked the manager, Charlie, to have a full room cleaning and came back to see nothing done he told me that I only asked for it to be dusted (which it wasn’t) and didn’t care about my concerns of the cleanliness of the room When I went back again he told me there is nothing he can do, rolled his eyes and had an incredibly bad attitude The breakfast is a small kitchen where you make your own waffles, stale bread, and cold eggsI will never stay at this hotel or it’s brand due to the way I was treated by the manager, Charlie, and the lack of cleanliness

300 Clifton is a lovely place to stay, very unique and homey! I gave 4 stars because our first night we stayed in the back room of the carriage house and the bed was just terrible Creaking all night and sloping in the middle I’m just not sure how that bed made it under their quality control radar

I let the hotel know the next day and they promptly moved us to another room across the hall, and also mentioned they’d be replacing the mattress the next day The new room was more than twice as big with a wonderfully comfy bed and lots of eclectic western decor They even left us a little note and gift to apologize We enjoyed the tv and game room downstairs very much, the couch was very cozy They were extremely responsive to all my texts, and brought over shampoo when requested Street parking is easy, but you can also pay $10 to park in their lot We did both They gave us a later checkout, which was much appreciated All in all, it’s a fun funky place and I’d recommend staying if you’re in the area

Jared G.

Honest review:- Madonna and Clifton (Great Danes) and I forget the cat’s name, were a nice reminder of how special this location is Pastries/coffee/OJ in the morning and my bottom floor stay in the Carriage House was so unique! A doorway to a common area with a TV/Pool Table/Pinball Machines, etc, really was the icing on the cake to a great weekend

Thanks for an incredible stay!

Especially appreciate the dog-friendly policy Very welcoming to visitors traveling with pets Location is convenient to many downtown destinations

Adjacent ground level parking lot Staff helpful and polite Common areas were clean and pleasant My only complaint is that we were not notified upon check-in that we needed to request housekeeping services, so we were disappointed to return from a day of sightseeing to a room which had not been cleaned

Stacey M

I would not recommend a stay here, primarily due to rude and incompetent staff We had to get our keys reprogrammed each day as 3 different employees seemed to only know how to program them until 1:00 pm

the next day They then lied to us that we must have been putting the cards next to our phones Both cards held by different people stopped working at the same time with each set we got And neither was keeping the card anywhere near their phones We then encountered people in the elevator that had to the same thing happen to them each day, and also encountered rude staffThis hotel is listed as a “plus”, but does not include the basics They do not have a complimentary breakfast, there is not a microwave in most rooms, a safe was in the location above the fridge where the microwave should have been This was extremely inconvenient, and added extra costs on an already quite expensive hotel nightly rateVery disappointed

lady cadbury

The room was nice love the tiny kitchenette and the bedroom being separate but, that’s where the fun ends I spent two nights and it cost me over 60000 which is way more then I could afford but it was our anniversary

Restaurant is way overpriced for the food I ordered room service got two drinks, a burger, a dinner with a very small piece of meatloaf, two oysters, 4 bite sized donuts with cold chocolate syrup and two deviled eggs, they charged me 17000 I didn’t even get the fries that was supposed to come with the burger What’s worse is the food was cold The hotel charged 1200 a day for parking I was told nothing about being charged for parking when I checked in Got a few drinks at the bar drinks were between 1000-2000 each It was 1000 just for a shot They didn’t even give you a receipt so you could at least see what you were getting charged for The man that works overnight is very eude I was trying to ask questions he kept walking away not listening and kept saying theywill help you when you check out I wanted a detailed receipt of everything we got charged but all he said is when you check out I mean that’s fine I can wait till I check out it’s the tone of voice and the way he acted

I came here from NY to bring a friend to his new home and wanted to treat my fiance and I to a nice hotel because why not, walking in it was incredible! The entire building is breathtaking, the vault style door into the wine cellar, and the elegant spiral staircase, everywhere you look there is something unique! After we took a dip into the one of a kind pool and hot tub we decided to have a bite and a few at The Westin bar, Thomas White was more than a bartender or a host he was busy, but was still keeping up with everyone while maintaining conversation with the guests, It truly was an incredible experience!Thank you so much

Andrew Johnson

The hotel overall is up to Westin standards, however, my room had a few issues The toilet seat was disgusting But not how you might think

It had a rough surface and a ton of permanent stains So they probably cleaned it but you couldn’t tell The shower wand didn’t work which was a bummer The toilet was also clogged I only stayed for one might so didn’t bother complaining They do NOT have room serviceThe customer service seems top notch and the hotel has some nice amenities like a restaurant in the lobby I would probably stay here again but probably complain to management about the room next time

This hotel was so nice and accommodating I had eye surgery next door and they gave us exactly the kind of room we needed, ground floor, handicap accessible room The front desk employees were super nice, especially Michelle and Mandie

The weather was bad, and we didn’t know if we should stay another day and they were very understanding We ended up staying anyway and were very glad we did Super breakfast, too! We will definitely stay here again!

Ellie Greenhouse

The room was very comfortable and the perfect size for our small family There was even room to open our pack n play The hot tub was broken but the pool itself is heated so that was an added bonus

The breakfast was a little different than I expected, but I think it’s fair given that we’re still in a pandemic Overall, we’d definitely stay here again

Brianna Tuttle

I stayed here for my brothers baseball tournament and it was a nice hotel to stay at for 5 daysThe breakfast had many options to choose from and a breakfast room where you could sit down The pool and hot tub were nice and relaxing

Could have been a little cleaner The staff was super friendly They let our baseball team and family use the breakfast room to eat dinner with everyone Rooms were manageable The pullout couch was the thing I had the biggest problem with When you pulled it out in the normal rooms, it was hitting the nightstand right there and you had to go over the whole thing in order to get to the kitchen area and the door It was also very uncomfortable I ended up just sleeping on the couch itself rather than the pullout That’ll be the better option Also the elevator was a little scary Everytime I went on it, I felt like it was gonna break down Hard starts and hard stops The area isn’t the best either A man tried to offer me to come in his car in the parking lot It was really creepy at night But very close to fun activities like Target field and mall of America! If you are trying to stay in this hotel for a vacation, I do not recommend it

Hotel is near the major highway Stayed for work right across the road Staff was extremely helpful when trying to check in early from a flight (@ 11 AM)

Had to wait about 30 minutes but we went to grab some food and returned to a ready room Pretty good but simple continental breakfast If you have a view from the south side, it’s pretty nice If there’s only one thing to nitpick, the room we stayed in was a tiny bit outdated but nonetheless clean and spacious Will stay here again when in town

Mark Zamek

We stayed here recently during vacation with our 6 lb Maltese On day three we were called by the front desk and asked to check out of the Hotel because our 6 lb dog (who has never bit anyone in his life but will lick you as long as you want) bit one of the staff When I enquired as to details I was given none

We always had the do not disturb on our door None of the staff was interested in talking to us Then when we got back to our room the room was cleaned and ready for other guests and our things from the room were all removed So in addition to displacing my family and having to scramble to find another place to stay, I now had to track down the manager to get our thingsI am titanium and my wife is ambassador level so it’s not like we don’t have status The staff here didn’t careAs sourcing manager for a multi National global company, I have taken Marriott off of our approved vender list I can’t chance that our employees will be displaced and distracted from business with incidence such as this We will focus on the Hilton brand

Hector at the front desk is AMAZING I do not have enough kind words to describe how welcomed and helpful he was upon my arrival He made me feel right at home, gave me all of the information on the hotel, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful stay

Whenever I am in Minneapolis I’ll be staying here just because of his kindness After a long day he really turned my day around The bar and gym are lovely and the rooms are spacious The location is great and parking is easy I definitely recommend staying here Once again thank you Hector for everything you’ve done to help with my stay I appreciate you more than words can express!

This hotel was the same price as the Marquette where is usually stay but my friend had a room here for the weekend so I booked this instead Worst night at a hotel I had ever experienced About once every 30 mins the furnace would start, it sounded like a diesel generator

The first few rounds I thought there was construction outside it was so loud My fitness tracker said I slept for 1hr15min that night The bed was also extremely uncomfortable and the walls were so thin I could here people partying throughout the hotel all night when the furnace wasn’t running I ended my trip early and didn’t even stay my second night The shower was also just about unusable with how hard the spray was Wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling back and it was outdated and dirty The front desk staff was kind upon arrival and promptly refunded the parking I had been incorrectly charged for when I called the day after my stay I know not to have high hopes for hotel breakfast but the only hot option was breakfast sandwiches that were not even close to as good as the worst gas station bkfst sandwich I’ve ever had I will not return to this hotel There are similarly priced hotels in the area that are luxurious

I have stayed at this property in 2020 everything went fine I recently stayed in March my stay was fine Everything was good until a few days after I check out i get noticed via my HR that it was cake left all over one of my rooms

The room i personally stayed in I been working for Hilton since March or 2010 I have traveled to other country’s as a Hilton team member and never had a experience like this Before I check out rooms I even make sure everything is good and leave a tip No way on earth I would ever let my 11 year old son leave a room in that condition or even attempt to do something like that in a room Yes I’m saying someone at this hotel did that to my room Due to the fact that I don’t have pictures of videos of when i checked out it’s basically my word against theirs Since this experience I will be recording everytime I’m checking out a room

I had a number of issues with this placeCons first:LACKED IN THESE THREE AREAS:CleanlinessSafetyAmenitiesThe first room that we were given was NOT properly cleaned there was still beer bottles and towels on the floor from the previous residence (see photos) It was absolutely filthy

Luckily one of the staff was very nice and was able to find us another room immediately His name was Jeremy and he was very kind and professional about itAlso they didn’t clean our room on any of the days that we were there until we explicitly asked them to That was quite frustratingWhen they did clean the room they brought us dirty towels that were stained yellow like it was from urine (see attached photos)Next safety was an issue The main point that was an issue was the level of ice in the parking lot Even though I was extremely careful I ended up slipping and hurting my arm The parking lot had no salt or anything to ensure patrons could safely walk to their car This is a huge safety concern especially if you plan on leaving the hotel or renting a carNext was the issue with the amenities The plug point in the room for USB charging was not working by the bed The shower had no soap or shower gel in the dispenser There were spatulas and other cooking amenities BUT there was no stove or anything to cook on The bathroom had a tissue box but no tissues in itPros:The location is quite nice and is right along a major highway so it has easy access to the surrounding area as well as downtown Also there’s a convenience store within walking distance which makes it extremely easy for quick snacks There’s also a restaurant and a number of other fast food joints in the surrounding area making this a nice place to stay for a couple days Also the staff was very friendly and professional The decor in the rooms and throughout the facility is very modern and clean looking I do appreciate the aestheticoverall the pictures of this place online show a very nice and clean environment but that was not my experience I do not recommend staying here If you can afford it I would spring for something slightly nicer If you cannot I had relatively good experiences at the Red roof inn which is just down the street

Looking for a place to stay, while my husband needed special care at Abbott Northwestern Cardiac Center Only minutes away from the hospital, everything was as Promised Clean, contemporary, and great service! Restaurant was refreshing, and accommodating

And their security measures were not obvious, yet gave me a secure restful night sleep I definitely would recommend staying! I will return under better circumstances!

We had a pretty large group(including the wedding party) choosing to stay at this hotel for our son and daughter-in-laws wedding I did have more than a few bumps along the way with the room block and was a little nervous how the accommodations would be, however about a week before the wedding, Scott the front desk manager got involved and he is wonderful to work with! He made sure everything was on point and taken care of He routinely checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for the 4 night stay, and even upgraded the rooms for the Bride and Groom, and for my husband and I

The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful as well! They even knew or son’s dog by name and gave him pets when they saw him! Overall we had a wonderful experience and would not hesitate to stay here again

Fairly new hotel, smaller shared spaces with what looks to be a fair amount of conference room rentals Rooms are a couple notches better than a Courtyard, though a couple notches lower than a premium hotel Slightly upgraded features

For a work trip, I’d definitely consider For a personal trip, I’d look to another option in the Marriott groupPro tip: Parking on side street is 2 hr meters that start at 9am For a couple dollars, you can park there overnight until 11am Otherwise, there is a lot (albeit for sale) across the street that is just a few dollars more until the next day

Yes, we can recommend this motel Prices have gone up for hotels/motels, so we were trying to find a fresh and clean place to stay in the Twin Cities location that was handy for our visit This La Quinta Inn worked out perfectly for that

The price was much less than the more centrally located Mpls lodgings, and parking was free There is no pool, but we never use that feature anyways Breakfast is included in the price and was good Room was clean Lobby was dated, but clean Fresh paint on outside of building and interior hallways , lobby and breakfast dining area are kept clean Staff were friendly and helpful A safe, comfortable and pleasant stay

The key cards didn’t work, due to a malfunction in the lock, so we were locked out of our room until the next morning We were given another room, but were not able to access our belongings There were bugs in the room, breakfast options were slim

Beds were comfortable, hotel is older, needs some work Staff was nice enough, I have not received a refund for the room we were locked out of, as I was promised I wouldn’tchoose to stay here again

I had to edit my review because I had TWO wasps in my room ! They’re infested with other bugs as wells so they didn’t take my call serious! I have a 2 year old with me That was an incredibly dangerous situation!! Some of the staff members need to work on their attitudeother than that the cleaning crew is great

Their supervisor could use some work The breakfast is great! As long as you avoid the staff and bugs you’ll be fine

Rooms are ok Staff is great Surrounding area is perpetually filled with homeless and random people that blast music and harass pedestrians

We stayed here for a week and the women in our group didn’t feel comfortable walking back alone… and I don’t blame them considering I wouldn’t have felt safe walking alone either, especially dressed in business attire

Ghazanfar “GJ” Abidi

Spacious and clean room King bed was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids (laying perpendicular); didn’t even use the sofa bed Kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with cutlery and appliances

Thermostat was stuck on 67f, so it got a bit chilly at nightGood location downtown Could walk to most places we were there forThe parking lot to use is the La Salle lot, not Bancorp

Horrible experience Heat went out first night No space heaters and had to wait late into the morning for a fix blowing cold air all night in the middle of winter

Told wrong times on breakfast Then showed up 15 mins before close next morning and said nothing left One staff member in particular was incredibly rude I left 2 stars because they have nice city views from the rooms It’s not worth being there though you’re in one of the more dangerous areas of the city, trust me Plus my dead bolt lock didn’t work on my room They didnt care about any of it and then charged me extra cleaning fees when I didnt even get the check out time advertised I feel like I’ve been scammed and it felt like a dirty cheap motel Marriott should drop this dump from their name I’ve been to dozens of different hotels and this is one of the worst in the city Go to Marriott City Center a few blocks down instead if you really want to be in that area, or if you need the full kitchen go to Marriott TownePlace Suites in North Loop Avoid this place, you’re welcome

We were here for 6+ weeks for a long term stay The staff was excellent and very accommodating for our three dogs We really enjoyed the hotel itself though the area is pretty rough

Being that close to the Twins stadium was a lot of funThey are very flexible and nice and we felt well taken care of The laundry facilities and gym were very helpful for our long stayMy only complaint would be that their breakfast lacks variety and got really old really fast but that was the only issueWe will definitely recommend this hotel to others and greatly appreciate all they did for us!

AMAZING LOCATION AND GREAT HOTELPros: Location location location! Great location if you are going to anything at the Target Center or Target Field Extremely easy to get to from the Airport, the Blue Line runs right next to it, and you have to maybe walk 15 steps outside (I went in winter, so that was important) until you can get to an elevator that takes you to the parking deck of Target Field, and then from there you walk into the parking deck for the Element Great service, very friendly staff, and awesome breakfast

The rooms were nice, comfortable, and new Probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at in the last couple yearsCons: Although the accessibility to Target Field and the Blue Line is great, be watchful because the homeless definitely take advantage of the heated waiting areas where the elevators are They aren’t near the hotel, but if you plan on using those areas just be aware I left for the airport at 5 in the morning, and there were about 7 homeless people in each area (first and second floor) this obviously leads to not a super clean place Nothing the hotel can do, but just thought I would point it out in case there were families that planned on using it

Every staff member was friendly courteous and professional and went out of their way to help me I would definitely stay here again The rooms are modern and chic

The breakfast is bit bare bones – egg and cheese sandwiches – but they’re tasty! The hotel also provides bike rentals too A staff member named Bill legit left the front desk to walk me to the garage and pointed me in the right direction to find the closest blue line metro station to take to get to the airport I was visiting from New York / New Jersey area so I wasn’t used to this kindness and I so appreciated it Awesome experience at Element! Thank you for an awesome stay

Simple hotel Great prices Even better staff

They went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant stay They have entertainment so I could get out of my room without getting dressed up to go anywhere Rooms are modern and fun Check-in was a breeze Most hotels in the city don’t have free parking and Moxy is no exception, but street parking was easily available I felt safe my entire stay I couldn’t have picked a better cost effective hotel for my stay I will be staying here in the future

Jerell Jones

We enjoyed our stay in the green room at the Moxy Got locked out of our room and staff couldn’t get us in to enjoy our bed sadly – but the night was still spectacular Luckily, there was a bed in the living room (which we did not mind, but it sucked paying a lot of money to sleep in the living room)

Mind you, the staff did offer a different room for us to sleep in, but we didn’t take the offer Had a birthday party and our friends were definitely impressed by the room and hotel overall! RECOMMEND!

Kim Pollack

Overall this is an adequate hotel We stayed two nights The room was clean and the bed was comfy

However the choice to spend money on useless room decor (namely electric guitar and amp) in exchange for typical amenities you find in a hotel was a waste in our minds Having an in room refrigerator, cups and available parking would have made for a better stay Sure the complimentary cocktail and live jazz was a nice touch The website speaks of cost for parking…but it isn’t near the hotel or associated with it The surprise after a 12 hour drive wasn’t well received All that said you’ll find this hotel adequate but trying too hard to be something it isn’t
