Stayed at the Home2 for a couple of nights and had a great stay The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel amenities are great for the price Overall a great value!Their breakfast and 24/7 coffee are really appreciated, as well as the complementary wifi and the ample parking outside

Note they don’t have daily full maid service but it’s not needed if you’re there to rest after being out the whole dayWould stay again here for sure

I travel for work frequently, this Home 2 has been one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered I stay at Hilton properties all the time and I’ve never had an issue, but in Waco the staff has been very unprofessional When we arrived I had already checked and got my digital key, so I didn’t have to stop at the front desk

The girl ignored us completely and didn’t say hello, she has her AirPods in so I’m sure we wouldn’t have been paid attention if we had to check in When I got to my room the AC wasn’t really cooling so when I went down to the front desk the girl told me it “takes a fat minute” for it to cool She came to look at it did nothing to fix it, then she said I can bring you a box fan The next day I asked to have maintenance come look at it they said nothing was wrong because it was blowing cold air So a second night of a box fan On the third day we needed to leave early, to ensure that we could make an unexpected meeting the next morning The young man at the desk was being very helpful then this woman came up and said that the room would be checked out the next day, which is fine no big deal, she seemed to be a manager, so I let her know about my AC issues as I was talking to her she proceeded to read a text message that came through her watch completely ignoring me I grabbed my stuff to leave and on the way out, no one was at the front desk Over all I think the staff needs a little more hospitality training

This hotel is very nice! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly They immediately welcome you with gratitude and ready to assist you in any way As soon as I came down with my cart, they asked if the room was to my liking

The rooms are very spacious and well cleaned They have a pool that has both a hot tub and kiddy pool with water a feature They have outdoor seating that is very inviting I highly recommend staying at this wonderful establishment

Jonathan Meyer

Very comfortable room We had a suite with a small living room – excellent layout and idea for a family to have just a little more space The staff was helpful, the breakfast was OK – typical of a hotel

The pool was being serviced so it was out of commission (bummer) but the small health center helped burn off some energy and calories I would definitely stay there again

Myranda Mullings

Thomas at the front desk was extremely helpful and one of the kindest souls I have ever met He helped us book the room and made sure everything was to our liking I was unsure of wich hotel to book but after speaking with him on the phone he sold me onto Springhill

It was the best hotel experience my family and I have had The rooms were very neat and clean and the atmosphere was friendly and professional Erica and Debra were also so sweet and helpful during breakfast We had our 4 children with us and they made sure we all had everything we needed and even turned some cartoons on for the kiddos We will definitely be back in the future We absolutely loved our stay

This hotel is a beautiful property and had I had a better experience with check in, it would have been a 4/5 star review 🌟Beds were comfy, room was spacious, great for families, and perfect for the traveling one at thatMy room has leftover trash in the kitchen trash can under the sink, the bathroom had hair on the floor, and there was so much left over soap build up on the shelving of the shower

I professionally clean and this was not even a “bare minimum quick clean” worthy jobThe check in process is fine Mobile key didn’t work The attendant was not very friendly or happy to be working I did give her grace and every time I saw her she wasn’t that excited about being at work, I get it Rough days happen but not all 3 days I was there Regardless, this was not what I expected of a Marriott, and not my past experiences either and now I’ll continue giving Hyatt my Globalist status, since they honor our military and their families regaddless of being on orders to PCS or not We travel home a lot to be with our loved ones ❤️

Jennifer Crain

We showed up at 7 pm on a Friday night with no reservation The heater didn’t work in our previous hotel, so we were in a bind Ebony at the front desk was so kind and accommodating

She found us a great deal on a junior suite and saved our trip! The suite was spacious and extremely clean We appreciated everything especially the linens that didn’t smell like bleach I’ll be looking at this chain of hotels again Thanks Ebony!

Mark Morgan

I have traveled a lot during my career and this is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in The management crew here is top notch I am always greeted with a smile and staff is very professional

Amanda, the GM has went above and beyond for myself and my team when handling any issues or needs we may have Joseph and the front desk staff are always professional and very helpful and are eager to help me with any questions or concernsMelissa is always the first one to greet me in the mornings as she handles the food service for breakfast, myself and my team couldn’t ask for a more professional individual to start our day off withThe housekeeping team, Michael and Champagne have always kept our rooms spotless and cleanI highly recommend Residence Inn Waco South to anyone traveling thru the Waco area You will not be disappointed 10 stars!!!!

We had a nice two day stay here, but there are some things I would like to point out

(I would say it would have been a solid five if these thing did not happen) The good: When we arrived late after driving all day we had a very kind, friendly and warm woman check us in She was the only employee the whole time that acknowledged us Our room was nicely decorated, new spacious, and comfortable What could have made it a 5 star experience : Most of the ft desk staff were disengaged when we walked by and checked out, pretty cold and uninviting I traveled with pets I was charged a pet fee ($100 non refundable) but when the floor is dirtier than we we left it (I cleaned the floor before I put my pet’s food down the towel was super dirty) this is annoying sorry, it should be a deposit, not all animals are equal The free breakfast is a little disappointing I would stay here again, my expectations would just not be super high

Joanna Benavidez

Very nice and clean Close to alot of restaurants and very convenient We arrived a little early and Front Desk, didn’t get his name, was very helpful getting us checked in

Housekeeping was a little rude while we were trying to get Ice and breakfast but other then that very pleased with our stay Great Hot Breakfast and area is so new so felt very comfortable

T C

Pretty disappointed in this stay Booked two nights & the first night we were so uncomfortable in the room & earlier they had said this was the last room for what I booked The shower curtain was absolutely gross, stained & the shower was not cleaned

When we got into the room, my husband literally killed a spider When we got up in the morning, he said we needed to switch rooms which he never says There were several large spiders,Rolly pollies & other bugs The room wasn’t cleanWhen I went to the front desk the gentleman who helped me was very nice & said he could downgrade us That was fine as long as the room was clean Got into the room, trash was full, shower curtain was also stained with what looked like blood marks It was “better” but not very cleanFor us to still be in a pandemic, housekeeping is crucial The man at the front desk came up and apologized and emptied the trashHowever, I never heard from the manager Never received an apology, points, reimbursement for being downgraded to a smaller room, anything I’ve stayed in Marriotts every week for the last 6 weeks and this housekeeping was the worst Also as a loyal, elite member I would expect moreI’m thankful for the help of the man at the front desk but sad that no one provided an apology, reimbursement, points, etc

Nice friendly staff Rooms are definitely showing their age Bed was soft

Desk top, dresser top and nightstand tops were “tacky” to the touch Likely a combo of the materials finish plus whatever they are using to clean withThe hot water smells (stinks) so it’s a complete put-off and makes the sheets smell as well Every Fairfield property I have been to over the past few years are all dated Time for some upgrades!

giovanni perez

They need to update their website to reflect changes in the now non-existent hot tub and in-room jacuzzisStaff was very friendly and accommodating Rooms were fairly clean

Breakfast was good Tv had good streaming options but was also physically damagedOverall good stay

Moncel Abercrombie

Don’t stay here! We had a family discount but they charge you for all kinds of taxes My entire family thought the same thing

PILLOWS ARE HORRIBLE! HOUSE KEEPING DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO MAKE A BED WE HAD WRINKLES ON THE BOTTOM SHEETS LIKE SOMEONE HAD ALREADY SLEPT ON THEM We stayed two nights and housecleaning didn’t clean up when we were gone Only good thing is the convenience to the highway We will never stay there again I was also given different cost when booking We didn’t even have water in our mini fridge Don’t do it!!!

We arrived at the hotel and upon entry the appearance was very nice UNTILL

We found that the condo had not been cleaned including trash under the couch The refrigerator had spills and stains from previous occupants The bedding had not been changed or washed There was hair and remnants of cats having been in the room We were here with special needs children and could not sleep because of allergy issues After, we had to leave because of these issues The owner proceeded to call and harass us He was calling with threats and screaming at us over the phone Slum lord at its finest describes this completely If you stay here, know that it is dirty and not properly cleaned You will be harassed by the owner who lives on site

Rachel Smith

Amazing stay! I truly loved it here Great value for money You get a very bright and airy 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, a washer and dryer, and it’s all on Baylor’s campus

I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place before Ashley, you are doing a great job! Thank you so much to you and your awesome staff for making my stay so comfortable!

Anthony Young

This condo was by far the best laid out and cleanest place I’ve stayed in during my visits to Waco The staff, Ashley, is very friendly and knowledgeable I will book all my stays while visiting Waco here

The place is directly across Baylor and has all the awesome amenities that you could possibly ask for in a place away from your regular home

When our tree ripped out our power lines we came to stay at the Homewood suites It was an overall good stay They took us on short notice with our 2 dogs (German shepherd and lab) with no problem

The rooms are nice sizes and everything was very clean They take your pets into account so room service will not enter if you have the “pet in room” card on the door All of the staff was very friendly and even though we didn’t use the pool it did look very inviting

Melanie woytek

We stayed here 2 years ago and the entire hotel including walls, floor$, elevators, and rooms /bathrooms were immaculate staff was clean and professional NOT the case this visit

The hotel is run down rooms are dirty which includes finding stained pillows crumbs in the couch fold out mattress, dirty walls and door knobs dirty shower with scum and floors throughout hotel dirty and stained elevator door had duct tape on it and inside was filthy buttons and floors The pool is too small and over ran with large families We definitely will not be staying there again nor recommend this hotel

Colie Woods

We are a military family PCSing from Maryland to California doing the drive as a family of 5 with a dog and cat also in tow We used to stay at IHG hotels mainly Holiday Inn Express, however they don’t accommodate pets so that was instantly out Decided to become a Hilton honors member and use Hilton since they allow pets and it has been the most amazing experience so far

We arrived in Waco for the night and I booked this hotel as we were driving and I was instantly met with a text from the hotel asking if we needed anything The staff has been incredible and kind at every Hilton we’ve stayed at so far I think we are at 3 and counting As we continue on from Texas and further west we will always stay at a Hilton hotel Thanks for everything!!

So far this has been a great hotel Our toilet was broken but they fixed it asap The breakfast is very good considering it’s a hotel breakfast

The pool is nice and saltwater, though the hot tub is chlorinated enough to burn your eyes on the other side of the pool room All in all a great hotel Russel at the front desk has been so helpful our whole stay!

Margot Harvey

I was disappointed with the 3500 pet fee I had to stay 5 days

The highest fee I’ve ever had to payNo toast of any kind for breakfast No fruit or yogurtOn a positive note Brianna was very attentive, helpful and friendly I thank her for the excellent customer service I give her 5 stars!

Mae Joles

Check in is at 3 pm, and not a minute sooner Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but beware the towel rack and hair dryer that will fall off the wall Or the sink that doesn’t drain well

The pool doesn’t look near as nice or clean as online! Wierd smell, rusty fixtures, no fountains, and broken installations with a safety cone sitting over it Pool hours say closed at 11 but people were going in and out slamming doors until 1am The TV had horrible reception and constantly glitched out Breakfast was basic Bar is closed due to Covid still

The rooms were up to date and attractive I liked the seating area separate from the bedsFriends in our group were expecting a hotel bar as listed in the amenities

I appreciate the hot breakfast The hot items were prepackaged breakfast sandwiches, which was odd since the other items were not individually wrapped

Tim Buchal

Nice hotel right off of Interstate 35 in Waco, TX Access is challenging in summer of 2022 as there is significant construction The rooms were decent sized and modern

The breakfast was decent for the price and accommodations There seemed to be ample parking and the site is fairly close to some of Waco’s attractions (walking distance if you are so inclined, otherwise a quick drive) Overall a positive experience

Monica Garcia

This location is right across from Baylor and 2 to 3 minutes from the Silos and the Dr Pepper Museum The staff was friendly and always cleaning

It was a little frustrating with all the construction and closed roads Twisted Root is walking distance so that was convenient When we were there the hot breakfast was in prepackaged containers like pre-made biscuits and burritos The washers and dryers were free to use but you do need to provide soap and softener Pool and gym were nice Overall we enjoyed our stay

My wife and I spent three nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Waco We had a great time Room was clean and AC kept the room nice and cool

The have a great breakfast each morning We had eggs, pork sausage, white gravy and biscuits All kinds of other food – fruit, cereal, packaged oatmeal, juices and great coffeeAnd Mary at the front desk was great Big smile and willing to help you with anythingIf you are in Waco for a night or two – give the Holiday Inn Express a try We will stay there if we are in Waco again

Jane Wang

I had a fantastic stay here The staff were all welcoming, friendly, and helpful The room was comfortable and quiet

Breakfast was tasty and consisted of a selection of eggs, sausage, biscuits, bread, cereal, yogurt, fruit, cinnamon rolls, and various other things There were even containers so that you could take your food and eat it in your room if you wanted I couldn’t ask for much more in a hotel and would recommend staying here

Promise Mosley

The only reason this hotel is getting 1 star is because the woman at the front desk was very nice But other then that this place is absolutely disgusting For $136 for one night I would’ve gotten better CLEANER service at a motel

The beds had human c** stains all over the side of the box spring, they charged me a $15 holding fee but then tried to say it didn’t go through when it was taken out of my account And so I had to use two different cards and get a total of $30 taken out instead The pool was freezing and gross Looked like the box from YOU Wanted to get a nicer hotel for a birthday trip and decided to splurg, but ended up disappointed, grossed out, and over all unsatisfied

While we wanted the boutique Indigo next door (which was fully booked), this Residence was a nice backup Staff was incredibly polite and helpful, our 2 bedroom suite was large, airy, and clean The breakfast was basic but fresh and hot every morning

Nice coffee bar The indoor pool was clean and not overly chlorinated like some hotel pools can be 3 blocks to Magnolia Market, and Diamondback Restaurant All in all, a very good bargain Great for families

Susan Honaker

The stay here was not quality I have never felt like such a burden The breakfast is subpar

Pillows felt like bricks under your head Dishwasher in room was very loud, maintenance said it needed to be replaced but nothing happened during the stay The drain in the shower didn’t drain so you stood in water during your showerBasketball court was not fenced in and people park right there so if you loose control of the ball you could bounce it off someone’s car Cats on property

Jason B.

My wife and I have never had a bad experience with any of the Marriot family of hotels until we stayed at the Residence Inn in Waco When we arrived 12:30pm on Saturday, there were only about 5 or 6 cars in the parking lot, so we thought we wouldn’t have any issues getting into a room earlier than the normal 3pm check-in time The clerk at the counter told us that there weren’t any rooms clean but it shouldn’t be longer than an hour wait

I asked her if she could call my cell to let me know since we would be waiting in our car in the parking lot but she said they don’t call people that we would have to call them After about 45 minutes, I went back into the lobby to check to see if a room was available yet but she was busy at the counter checking in another couple I waited until she finished with them and gave them their room keys Once they headed towards their rooms, I asked her if a room was ready She again said, “no” not yet I asked her how she just checked in the previous couple, and she said that they had a different room than the one I booked I told her it didn’t matter what kind of room we were put in, we just needed a room She told me she couldn’t swap me out because they are at full capacity So, I went back in my car to wait My wife went in to check this time We have now been waiting for 1-1/2 to 2 hours The clerk wasn’t pleasant and told my wife that our room wasn’t ready yet My wife told her, “okay, it’s just that usually the hotels work with us since we are Titanium Elite” Here is where we were shocked: The clerk told my wife, “We don’t care what status people are; people are people” I called Marriot corporate after my wife told me what she said I do understand that ‘people are people’ but we only stay at Marriot hotels so that my status stays at Titanium so we do get the added perks and benefits In the end, our room wasn’t ready until 3:05pm Unfortunately, when we walked into the room (2nd floor) it smelled like poop and very strong smell They had to assign us another room (3rd floor this time) and that room didn’t have an odor We originally asked her to give us a room on the first floor since my wife doesn’t do elevators and I had knee surgery last week and was using a cane to get around We have stayed in Residence Inns many times (including this one) and we have never had a bad experience

A very well staffed, and friendly hotel The 2 star rating is a misnomer; everything was clean, and nicely appointed The pool had a fresh supply of towels and seating; the water was refreshing and didn’t have too much chemicals

The room was clean and the pull out sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable as the king-size bed The blackout curtains meant a a good sleep The breakfast was nice as well They didn’t have any protein, (that’s why it missed the five stars) The exercise room has just enough for a small workout session, (it was over 90°) Overall a pleasure

Danielle Lawrence

We stayed here and LOVED IT The only reason we are giving a 4 star is because the fitness center smelled really bad Like to the point it couldn’t be used

If you don’t need this amenity, then I would highly recommend this place Service was great and everything was very clean If that is important to you, I would choose another place to stay

Katy Reeves

Gr8 location, bigger than ordered room for the 3 of us each having a bed to sleep in after attending family wedding! Breakfast was very slim Pickens both when I went at 8 and when my daughter went at 9 am only waffles, cereal, a few yogurts, a few apples, and a ton of individually wrapped blueberry muffins No eggs, bagels, warm sausage/bacon The warmer was on the island but not plugged in and empty

Disappointed

Loved this B&B! It was so lovely, clean, comfortable, and well appointed The complementary eye masks and ear plugs were not needed in this quiet space with almost black-out shades Morning came with coffee and delicious pastries

Appreciated the working wifi and ample plugs It’s about 5 minutes from Magnolia and all the other little shops popping up around downtown I would 100% stay here again and recommend it for anyone

My family and I recently stayed at Hymnsinger House for four nights It was a spectacular experience! The host has thought of every detail for an amazing experience It was immaculate and spacious

Lovey space for two adults with two children It’s near to downtown Waco, so close to wonderful sites and restaurants Breakfast from Baked Bliss and The World Cup topped off our experience I would strongly encourage anyone visiting Waco to stay at this lovely BnB

We just checked out after a 4 day stay and I can’t recommend this bed & breakfast enough We spent our first night in the smaller room and moved upstairs for the last 3 nights and both rooms are modern, super comfortable, and charming My husband and I both agreed that we’d totally live in the larger, upstairs space! We opted for the breakfast coupons at World Cup Cafe and its about a 5 minute drive, but they make a delicious, classically diner-style breakfast

Hymnsinger is about a 6 minute drive to down town and we had no trouble getting in and out for the conference we were attending Kathy- our contact at Hymnsinger House was super helpful and communicative Again, this was a perfect place to stay and we will certainly stay here again

My husband and I set off for a Distillery tour and Waco was our first stop We had a great time touring Balcones Distillery in Waco and staying at White Rock Creek Our room was perfect! The bed was so comfy, the bathroom was spacious, excellent hot water and the little couch and TV was perfect for a morning movie before breakfast! The breakfast was delicious and the hospitality over the top

Besides the crazy traffic circle (if you have been to Waco you know) this hotel was great We usually stay at comfort suites and this was by far one of the best ones we have stayed out The service was top notch

The room was fantastic Would stay here again Wish we had time for the pool They have a work out room The breakfast was standard for comfort suites but who doesn’t love a free breakfast Loved the pictures in the room of Waco

I have stayed at a LOT of Choice hotels, and this place was fantastic! Room was comfortable and CLEAN! Everyone was so friendly Bed was super comfy also (I need to know where they get their pillows) We discovered a slight maintenance issue this morning, and that was the fastest response I have ever had at a hotel anywhere! As in

my friend poked her head out the door as I began brushing my teeth to report it to housekeeping, and I hadn’t even finished brushing my teeth before maintenance showed up at our door! I highly recommend staying here if you’re in Waco!

Very pleasantly surprised with this hotel The stay was great! We have stayed at several higher end hotels in the Waco area (there are only a few and we have stayed at all of them) and have not had as good an experience as we did here The rooms at the Comfort Suites were clean, spacious, and very comfortable

The shower was great pressure and wonderful temperature control The front desk staff was very friendly and super helpful when asked basic questions They seemed eager to help, not put off by annoying questions The morning breakfast hit the spot for a quick “let’s get something to eat so we can get our day started”! The downside is to be expected from a 2 star hotel, but not a deal breaker (no on-site bar/restaurant) Two negatives we noticed was one of our rooms had the shower water backup after several minutes Kinda gross as it is most likely due to hair clog (This only happened in one of the rooms we had rented) And 2nd, the AC was so so It was not hot, by any stretch, but if you like a freezing room, you probably won’t get it here The room did stay cold All in all, I would definitely stay here again
