Parador means officially sponsored inn Used to mean something

This is an old but rehabbed hotel, vestige of the early US colonial rule in PR and it’s sugar kingdoms Was part of a huge US plantation complex in ruins throughout the area Rooms ok, pool was niceharbor is historically and geographically of interest but also polluted and smelly and ugly Food was very good, predictable criollo menú It’s all about the red beans and they had five star rice and beans Staff nice but understaffed Rooms clean and neat but baths poorly designed No small thingspool towels? Large towels? Cafe? Bar? They don’t sell beer or liquor!!! Part of the grounds has seen better days Yet it was filledso they make money and have no excusewater heater exploded while there so we had to move rooms because of water leaking into bath Did I say the pool was nice? But not enough umbrellas or chairs Staff, as usual in PR, super nice and helpful Oh, yeah, and Guanica is usually 95 degreesbut super nice breeze that afternoon so, not good for long stays, just drop by on the way somewhere else

Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service Hiram (front desk) was very attentive and professional He even noticed I was a nurse, and acknowledge my service

That was very nice Hamilton and Cristina (housekeeping) we’re very helpful and checked that every detail in our suite were perfect In general, the pool and all areas were clean All the employees had their masks on all the time and the protocol in the hotel is excellent We would like to say thanks to everyone that made our stay special and unforgettable God bless you – Hilda and Wilson 🤗

Wonderful 4-night stay in early March Few steps from a long sandy beach, with calm, warm Caribbean water Wonderful! Staff is superb, cannot do enough for guests

There is even a well stocked wine “cave” and gift shop Swimming pool is lovely & relaxing Oh and several beach side restaurants in easy walking distance This is a very special place! (Breakfast in their restaurant is just ok however, but still gracious)

edgard martinez

This hotel doesn’t deserve a bad evaluation But one can observe the effort the employees put to keep the professional work around this facility Our only complaint is more towards the administration for the lack of the little details that one can expect for the price of the stay if you were to compare with other hotels

For example, a room’s coffee pot, or showers soap and shampoo samples in the bathroom These are essential items that make the big difference when it comes to decide if one would ever come back In other words, don’t call yourself a “resort” or charge a 5☆ hotel rates that could mislead experienced customers that usually stay in real hotels

Didn’t see rooms Love location, up in the mountains It’s a place to go for rest and relaxation

Other than the pool didn’t see anything else as entertainment Not sure if there’s a restaurant, didn’t see or look for it Small café Good coffee They also have a food menu although limitedDefinitely there’s room for improvement

Elena Febus

The drive is intense with all the curves!! But once we arrived our reservation was canceled from booking for whatever reason we don’t know! But the lady in the front desk was super sweet she got us the room right away l!! Once we got the room we noticed it didn’t have AC when we did more research we had to book rooms with AC and we didn’t think we had to do that it was my fault for not reading lol! The room felt good at night opened the window and it was nice and fresh/cool!!! Other then that they have a pool/ restaurant/ sheep u can buy food at front desk and walk down to feed them! Super quit/ now keep in mind the city is about an hour away!! They do have a couple of restaurant about 10 mins away but not allot of variety!!! If u want beaches they are about 1 hour and 45mims away depending on what beach u want!

carmen dappo

after I made my reservations on the company site I drove at 11 pm 3 hours to get there (the drive is very intense since its all curves on a very narrow driveway) for them to tell me that they had no rooms available and nothing they could accommodate for me As a young woman these plans are well planned out so I am not left stranded ever and today, my first day in puerto rico, I am looking on near by pueblos for accommodations Im so upset and disappointed

I was very much looking forward to staying here My advice, call them before booking Not an organized ran business

My review only shared my experience and everyone is entitled to let others know the area, the cleanliness and if they charge you for anything etc Having a business is part of listening to customers and having empathy specially if they are traveling to another country Nothing said against an establishment specifically in a review is to destroy or damaged their reputation but more to improve and be better specially with so many competitors out there

Amenities are as shown, pool needs an upgrade, sofa beds are old and customer service, my personal opinion could have been a little bit more understanding Parking outside the premises it is sketchy and dangerous when you are alone with minors in a place you don’t know Posting my personal experience and your replies with exact information more like replying to be heard and prove your point simply makes you look desperate If you know you are a great spot and someone had a bad experience be more empathic and understanding Not everyone has to give you a 5 star Also replying to make a disgruntled customer look bad says a lot about you as a manager and business representative of el Cofresi Beach Hope it makes you feel better to treat a client the way you did through this messages The best to you!

Lolita Ortiz

The area is sketchy, parking is horrible super unsafe The app made it worse NOT EVERYONE IS TECH SAVVY The place was ok clean but not spotless or smell like it was disinfected

Sofa cama was super uncomfortable where not everyone can sleep in there as a full bed The hotel asked for us to clean the area spotless and even broom and mop which I did and left everything spotless even thou their is a cleaning fee and that’s the PURPOSE OF IT TO HAVE IT CLEANED AFTER THE PERSON LEAVES No one contact me only thru Airbnb and even thou I had trouble getting in at 10:30pm at least someone answered as to where leave my car in a abandoned gas station The hotel charged me $11 dollars for a dirty towel that was left because my youngest had an accident due to their lack of keeping the pool area checked and maintained We use the towel like on any hotel and I left it right in front from them to see This is the 1st time I get a charge for a towel On top I contact the front desk, they never pick up the phone, when she did her lack of empathy and understanding was HORRIBLE AND YELLED AT ME Overall I don’t care to stay here at all Better places with better views in the area and worth your money Definitely messed up our stay Thanks!

Leticia Urban

Me and my husband loved it here! is not a super fancy hotel but it was clean and all rooms have kitchen with coffee pot, small livingroom and dining table the front desk was always available to help and answer any question they have a small pool area on the roof of the building very relaxing you have a great view of the Poblado Boqueron that is at walking distance for the affordable price you can ask fir more

I came here on vacation and though I can’t speak for the prices, as the stay was a gift, I can tell that the staff was extremely helpful The accommodations were very clean and beautiful and the perks of various restaurant discounts were fun and useful I greatly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone in need for rest during the off season

I can’t speak for it in holiday season but I imagine that despite the crowds the service would still be cordial The employees were really sweet and thoughtful

Scott Hair

We booked a room for January 3-5, they gave us the corner room (15) which has a spectacular view Check in and out was quick and employees were very friendly Price for the room was reasonable and it was very clean

WiFi was fast and water pressure was the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel Some odd things though No ice machine on site No refrigerator in the room Coolers are not allowed in the rooms First time I’ve ever seen that, even in cheap hotels We never got maid service either Returned after aboat trip after 1 pm, no one had been by, no one came after that Whole the room had an excellent view, the music at the restaurant on the other side of the church had a really loud band Saturday night that played until 12;30 am But it’s a party town so that’s to be expected The morning sun lit up the room like crazy, needs darker shades to prevent thatOverall we liked the hotel but not sure if we’d stay there again without room refrigerators Too expensive to constantly have to buy cold drinks

Luis Bernal

rooms are nice and well maintained and cleaned staff is extremely nice and very accommodating the only thing that kept me from giving five stars is the fact that the restaurant and pool bar on site is closed Monday-Wednesday

i realize that it’s a tourist town and that half the town is closed on these days but it’s a hotel and you have guests that want to sit by the pool and have drinks at the bar you gotta at least have the bar open for peoplein general, I’d definitely recommend the place, though

Beautiful resort in a peaceful location Rooms are a little dated but clean and bright with great spa bathroom products Pools and resort facilities are excellent with Hobie Cat, kayaks, paddle boards and bikes available to rent

Gilligan’s Island is a short sail/kayak away and is great for swimming and snorkeling My only issue is with the main restaurant and food options Breakfast is great, with a large buffet and a lot of choice Lunch and dinner food choices are limited however, with hardly any vegetarian options (cheese pizza, pasta with sauce, or they can adapt other items on the menu but none of it is very exciting) The menu does not change and there are limited options to eat outside of the resort Service is very spotty and was poor at times You need reservations to eat at the restaurant We were not advised of this and on one busy night we were told our only option was to get take-out in our rooms Thanks to Bryan, the restaurant supervisor, who organized for us to eat on the patio instead We were even asked if we had a reservation for breakfast on the Saturday we were leaving, after we had already waited 20 minutes for a table I’m not sure where you’re expected to have breakfast when you are a guest at a resort and there is nowhere else to go?! Overall, would be 5 stars if the food and restaurant service were improved

Marc Ness

Very nice resort, I was there with a large tour group Looks like a good family resort, lots of stuff for kids to explore Kayaks are available to explore the sheltered bay, there is also a catamaran sailboat available

I saw a dad with two teenagers disappear for about 6 hours, lots to explore if you are a sailor (I didn’t rent the sailboat, but I would have if there outside of the group tour) Food is excellent here, the included breakfast is great The staff are super-helpful, and the rooms are very well equippedThe bay is very sheltered, nice for swimming off the beach as well as kayaking Take a hike out to the end of the pier after dark, you’ll see tarpons swimming just beyond the light-spill from the dock as well as a bunch of small fish swimming around the pilings Bring some bread to throw out for the fish, and you’ll see a feeding frenzyReally nice spot

Carmen de León

One of our favorite places to stay, beautiful and relaxing Calm waters at the beach, nature at its best A lot of small fishes and hermit crabs for small children to see

Front desk and hotel staff welcoming and friendly I had a massage at the spa and it was wonderful The staff at the spa are extremely attentive and friendly The hotel sells their own products and I highly recommend them We will be returning as we have in previous years

First time in Puerto Rico and couldn’t be more satisfied with the accommodations and friendliness and attentiveness of the hotel staff! I stayed in one of the smaller rooms, so I can’t speak to the rest of the hotel, but everything was very clean and comfortable I felt like the employees went our of their way to make me feel at home, from recommendations, answering questions, and general cheerfulness! I don’t remember everyone’s names, but Calvin in particular made my stay very nice! Keeping in mind that this is a college town, you might expect some loud music late at night on the weekends in the area – the hotel can’t control this – but everything during my stay was safe (parking especially)!

Aury De Jesus

My friend and I were staying at the Hotel Posada Colonial in Mayaguez from July 23 to 26, 2022 This posada offers a unique experience in a former nun convent You can stay in a room inside the former chapel or in a former nun’s private room The experience was excellent

The exquisite service: Thanks to Don Anibal and all the staff Cleaning and hygiene rules are of quality The first night we stayed in the Bishop’s room, a little noise from the street The next day they located us in the Boveda! Tremendous experience: large room, no noise, on the 2nd floor Our stay was 5 stars!

Carmen Candelaria

We always stay at this centrally located hotel in Mayaguez last stay was April 1-3 2022

It has one room that accommodates up to 6 people Steps away from the Mayaguez city center plaza Ricomini is the place to have breakfast, as the hotel only has coffee available in its breakfast room ( used to have tea, toast, jelly…) staff is very friendly and we always find it very clean

4 Casitas has the whole package – Fernando and Joonseong are wonderful hosts Each morning they serve delicious breakfasts up the hill at the main house on a veranda overlooking the mountainside Breathtaking

They will also go the extra mile for you When my wife asked whether there were any laundry facilities, they said just put your clothes in a bin and they washed and dried them for us – no chargeThe accommodations were A++ The casitas, of which there are 3, are beautifully decorated and have private patios for relaxation The animals throughout the property add to the experience – peacocks, turkeys (and chicks!), and friendly cats wandering around as well as the opportunity to see sheep, a horse, and a pig A place to truly recharge and less than 15 minutes from the beach We can’t wait to go back!

sophia Jane

Truly wonderful spot Fernando and Joon are so welcoming and friendly, and the property is STUNNING Our casita was beautiful, well-appointed, and so, so relaxing

We loved being surrounded by all the animals–chickens, turkeys, peacocks, sheep, cats, and one very cute dogAnd the breakfasts were OUT OF THIS WORLD First, the veranda where breakfast is served has the most beautiful view from atop the hill Each morning, we’d arrive for breakfast and be handed the perfect cup of cafe con leche, which we’d sip while looking out at the beautiful landscape Then, the food Joon and Fernando prepared something different every day, and every single meal was spectacularFurther, Cabo Rojo is a great area Not super touristy, but still a lot of great restaurants and things to do The area has terrific beaches and local hikes Also an easy drive to Rincon for surfing and only 2 hours from the San Juan airportIf you are visiting Puerto Rico, you should absolutely stay at 4 Casitas

Coco Blanch

4 Casitas is a beautiful property with wonderful hosts I believe it behooves visitors to know there is no air conditioning so bring natural repellant Our son got eaten alive by the mosquitos

Be mindful as well that a surcharge is added for over 2 people even though there is a hideaway bed to fit 4 people We thought the casitas when booked held up to 4 people as per the description but it has since changed I cannot say enough about the amazing breakfast and hosts! The bucolic landscape and hospitality of the owners made the stay a blissful one!
