Suite had all that anyone would need, they thought of everything Great rates in June Very clean and well run property, manager Shirley and staff were great! Walkable to beach, center of town Perkins Cove

I live in CA, but I grew up in that area and was nice to be back home in such a comfortable environment to celebrate a big birthday with local friends and cousins I am a seasoned traveler and would recommend Pink Blossoms very highly Every day was a new adventure I will be back next year for sure!

Stayed here for one night in a one-bedroom apartment while touring the areaLoved this place, nicely appointed, super-friendly staff and walking distance to the town and the beach The apartment was clean and spacious, with two queen beds, sitting area, balcony, and small kitchen

The hotel has a pool with a jacuzzi, a small playground which the kids loved, and a BBQ areaWould certainly stay here again!

My granddaughter and I booked last minute and were very luck to get suite 111 It was lovely, clean and roomy We did hear a lot of shower noise from upstairs but that is common in all ground units

We needed a ground unit due to health issues for both of us and we couldn’t have been more please Tucked away around the corner, it was very private, clean and had everything we needed Health permitting we hope to go back after labor day

This place is beautiful! The rooms were great, and the location is perfect Just to point out, each room is decorated differently, and Housekeeping only cleans your room before and after your stay and will not come in during your stay The rooms are like a little home near the beach

Interesting that this place still has actual metal keys to open the door The pool was warm, and they also have a laundry mat here They give you plenty of towels in the rooms and extra linen in the closet if so needed

My only hesitation in giving a glowing five star review is that people will then find out about this absolute hidden gem and book up all the roomsAt any rate, I have to give credit – this inn is located perfectly along the town, only a short walk to the beach You can enjoy the beautiful ocean views from several of the rooms, the front porch, or the garden

Parking is taken care of for your stay as you will be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the beachThe rooms are beautifully done and very clean, with very comfortable beds and linensBruce was an incredible host, remembering guests by name and offering an amazing breakfast each day with scones or cookies freshly made to snack on throughout the dayFinally, the heated pool and hot tub were a perfect way to end the day and relax

Jonny Kromps

We did a 4 day trip to Ogunquit with some friends, and booked our stay at the 2 Village Sq Inn, and every part of our stay exceeded our expectations Bruce and his staff were extremely helpful and personable Everyone repeatedly went above and beyond with their hospitality

The condition and cleanliness of the Inn was great, and the heated pool & hut tub is the best in the area The hand cooked breakfast every morning was better than most restaurants, and the selections changed every morningWe’ve stayed at other places in Ogunquit, but this was by far the best In the future there is no other choice for a place to stay The only problemthere isn’t a 2 Village Square Inn at other destinations we travel to Everything else is a let down Can’t wait to stay here again

Sean Gowers

Our third stay at 2 VS Inn If I could give more than 5 stars I would Freshly baked scones every morning (different flavor each day, White Raspberry, Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry)

Breakfast starts at 8 and is also almost different each day (Potatoes & Peppers/Onions were the only thing the same…soo good!) Buffet serviceFresh baked cookies and free daily cocktails :)Rooms are nice, very soft sheets, great pool and jacuzziIt’s in the center of town situated on a hill so the views are great and it’s close to everything! My fav thing to do was to sit on the front porch on a rocker with a cup of hot coffee I’m NOT a morning person but being here made me want to wake up early and just relax on the porch

Stayed in this hotel on our way to Deer Isle, Maine Booked at the last minute and was going to be in late We got a call about 10pm and asked when we would arrive because the office closed at 10

Told the gentleman that called us that we would not arrive until around 1:30am When we arrived at almost 2am, the gentleman met us at the entrance to check us in, and the upgraded our room to a very nice suite It was a great hotel Would definitely stay here again The only downside is they do not participate in choice privileges points Overall great hotel

This is the site of the Storer Garrison where the English settlers of the Town of Wells took refuge during a 4-day attack by French and Indian troops on the town in 1692 There is a monument in a small park to commemorate the event which reads:’To commemorate the defence of Liet Joseph Storer’s garrison on this ground by Capt

James Converse, 29 Massachusetts soldiers, the neighboring Yeomanry of Wells, and various heroic women, June 9, 10 and 11 1992 Whereby 400 French and indians were successfully resisted and Wells remained the Easternmost town in the province not destroyed by the enemy”My family’s ancestor Jeremiah Storer was there with Joseph defending the garrison while another brother, Samuel Storer, commanded a ship at anchor in Wells Harbor, from which ship a shot was fired that killed the French general

I stayed here with my 10 year old daughter last night We stayed in Room 6 which was a cute 2 bed cottage It had a living room and a kitchen table as well as a modern kitchen with a large fridge, electric stove top

Some cottages looked larger with screened porches and fire pits, so we will keep those in mind for longer stay, but we loved our cottage as is! We loved it and really look forward to going back! The owners were great and the price is incredible Oceanfront restaurants were less than a 10 minute drive We will be back!

Vanina V

Quaint little rooms and cabins at this motel The property offers a pool, gazebo, large area to walk the dogs (yes, it is dog friendly) and cute rockers by every door Very clean

The bathrooms need a little updating though And the rooms would be much better with some coffee machines They do have fridges in the room and offer coffee in the mornings in the office It is also close to stores and restaurants

D T

Thrilled we found this place Traveling up the east coast on family vacation Wanted to try something different than another hotel

This is our favorite place we have stayed this trip Rented two bedroom cottage Loved the simplicity of being able to just play outside, grill and swim Owners very nice Place very comfortable and clean Price is incredible Super close to everything Absolutely plan to visit again

The Aspinquid is owned by the same people that own the Norseman They are both in a great location and staffed by friendly high quality people So they do a good job hiring exceptional people to work there

The big drawback is, even though they charge top dollar, they really haven’t improved the rooms all that much since the 80s The lights the kitchenette everything needs a giant makeover in both of their locations It seems like they’re just content to do a good job treating the guest right, keeping the place clean and then just leave the rooms the way they have been for decades The place is clean and well kept but the room need total makeovers I know they’re currently doing the siding over at the Norseman and have done the siding on the Aspinquid in some parts as well but to get the rooms to today’s standards, the insides need a gut job

Sam Willey

Our group of 22 had 6 rooms Our initial reservation was lost, thankfully we called to confirm and discovered We ended up spread out in all 3 buildings after the mix up

The rooms were very plain and understatedOne room had a clogged toilet and another had a live mouse on the bed when they got to the room in the middle of the dayTip: Get a top floor room, you hear every step above youThe pros: there are grills by the pool for guest use at no added cost and the pool is warm and lovelyWe will not stay here again

Ian Garcia-Grant

The “garden level” is a fancy way of saying “your view is the parking lot”Other cons: for having been the very end of the season it was very expensive, front desk was rude, sound proofing was abysmal, and all the other little problems that we have all come to expect from motels and hotels right by route 1 in Southern MainePros: it’s a place to sleep, as long as your neighbors are quiet

Claudine greeted us upon arrival, recommended wonderful restaurants to have dinner and let us know where our room was for our “honeymoon getaway weekend” the Lesa Lynn room is a gem set apart on the outside of the main house with its own entry It was so clean, sanitized and lovely! Continental breakfast was good with a nice variety that included danish, scones, apple turnovers, and bagels, cold cereal, yogurt, cereal bars and granola bars, and fresh fruit, hot coffee and juice Also a variety of hot tea bags are offered at any time

In the evenings, Claudine offered to light the fire in the main living room hearth for us to enjoy Because we were here off season, we were also offered the choice of an inside the house room to stay in or our original room attached to the house but with the separate entrance The home has amazing history and is well kept It sits right on the main strip in downtown Ogunquit a pleasant walk to the beach and nearby restaurants and shops We will definitely be back This was our first stay at an air bnb and we loved the personal attention and atmosphere! EXCELLENT and TREASURED experience and stay of two nights Very worth trying! And we will be returning gladly, hoping to see lovely, sweet, smiling Claudine again!

Antony ROC0038

Nice breakfast albeit not cooked Is the perfect location for beach and local restaurants Good parking too

The inn room is not as advertised We paid to stay in the inn but we were housed for two days in a garden basement room two houses down the street Trust us, this is a cheap conversion of a spare room and you will not get any sleep until the noisy occupants above go to bed which in our stay was not until 330am on BOTH nights You can hear everything they say and doThe breakfast was self service cereals and some pastries and fruit Certainly no possibility of the eggs advertised I asked for bread to make toast and was told that they do not have breadHad we got to stay in the “historic inn with parquet floors and views” and “dishes such as eggs Benedict” our review may well have been different But this was not what was advertised and we basically ended up in an AirBnB Beware the “Wayne room”

Steven Tobey

This has to be one of the best spots in all of town to stay for vacation The staff was amazing, the entire inn was gorgeous and our room was STELLARWhen we come back we will be sure to stay here again

BBI was the PERFECT distance from downtown, the beach, and everything you could want and need

Six of us, all childhood best friends, meet for a beach trip at a different location every summer Blue Shutters is perfection! The rooms are fresh and modern, and with the amenities we were looking for The staff are above and beyond friendly, attentive, and thoughtful

They even left a delicious surprise birthday cake in my room Come and stay in an inn that looks like it is straight from a bright design showroom You will find a lovely happy hour vibe with quality cocktails and nibbles, but most importantly, do NOT skip the AMAZING breakfast! We are already planning our return next year our first ever repeat stay!

Samuel Leroy-Melamed

My wife and I stayed in the Trellis House, but spent plenty of time at Blue Shutters Inn for breakfast and coffeeThe amenities were incredible Laurence, Glen, and their staff clearly took so much time and care to re-design these properties

Everything was just so welcoming and warm And comfortable! The breakfasts were phenomenal The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked The sausage and bacon were brought in from a trusted butcher, and they were quite memorable The pancakes, the parfaits—I could go on and on We stayed for a long weekend, and we’re so thankful to get three great breakfastsThe properties are right off the Marginal Path So, pretty easy beach access Property also has chairs to borrow for the beachWe also opted in for an add-on picnic for our last lunch, and it was so thoughtfully put-together Laurence’s chicken salad was every bit as delicious as his breakfasts wereWe’re hopeful that we can visit again before too long!

Lindsay Loyd

It is obvious that owners Lawrence and Glen (and their staff) LOVE what they do and take so much pride in delivering an excellent, fun and beachy BnB experience We stayed in the Portland suite at Blue Shutters It was beautifully decorated, the bed was so comfy, and it was super convenient to access from our car in the provided off-street parking

The only downside to that particular room is that its interior door is adjacent to the hallway and kitchen However, the staff takes care to operate quietly in the morning getting things set up for breakfast, and if you are a morning person, it won’t bother you a bit (If you like to sleep in, you might consider a different room or their neighboring property, Trellis House)Did I mention breakfast was crazy delicious? A ham and cheese croissant done French toast style with maple dijon syrup I had to restrain myself from licking the plate clean Cocktail hour at Trellis House was also lovely, good snacks, tasty drinks, and a large Scrabble boardGlen & Lawrence know the area well and pretty much every spot they recommended was a winner Blue Shutters is in a great location and easy walking distance to lots of great shops and restaurantsThe beach chairs, bag, and towels they provided were great and we loved taking the short walk on Marginal Way to Little Beach and setting up between the rocks to enjoy the beach as the tide went out

B.W. Bushner

Gave five stars but since they seem to have abandoned their “no children” policy, it’s not been as enjoyable Many parents could care less that their children are disturbing everyone They commandeer the pool with their shouting brats

Then the infestation of children spreads to the front lawn Never a moment of peace They take over the porch, running around, shouting, screaming, & speaking loudly Parents do nothingIt was so nice when this place was child-free We’ve been coming reliably *for years* but are considering other optionsOn the plus side, management keep it very clean and the grounds always look fantastic Not the best beds but they are sufficient They work hard to be good hosts and the staff is delightfulTruth is it is a wonderful place to stay with a fantastic owner

Violet

This was my first visit to this beautiful Inn and my only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer Our room (114) had a large, enclosed porch that faced the ocean and I could hear that soothing sound all day! The service was amazing, and the staff was so sweet and friendly Our room was lovely and clean, and the bathroom was large and comfortable

The INN is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, the beach, and anything you could want in the beautiful town of Ogunquit! Unfortunately, we had to cut our visit short due to a personal matter, but I hope to be back someday to visit again!

Michelle Plouse

You won’t be disappointed The price is right, the rooms, although a bit dated are impeccably clean Couldn’t get over how clean

That was a huge plus for us The grounds are perfect and have a wonderful view of ogunquit beach Their landscaping is lovely and I especially loved the line of flowers leading to the entrance The staff was so pleasant and very accommodating Our room had a loft which was great for my son and his fiancé and my husband and I had a comfy queen bed and my daughter had one as well Perfect little family suite! So close to everything! Perfect location and the breakfast, while not fantastic in choices, had plenty Fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, toast coffee and juices Cereal and yogurt Enough to start your day and all served on a lovely porch overlooking the ocean We will consider this place again because the location is perfect and again CLEAN! We were there on the 1st of June 2022

Receipt Store

Overall, the Anchorage is a nice place to stay, but I do feel it is a bit overpriced for what you get For the same amount of money you can get flight and hotel to some other destinations for around $300 more The pool area is nice, but is very crowded as the pools are not that big

The thing is, there aren’t many places with pools in OGT, especially on the marginal wayThe room we stayed in, in the towers, was a little smaller than a standard hotel room You could not set the air conditioning unit to your desired temperature, the toilet was a bit loose and the soundproofing between floors was not great Additionally, the air conditioner was loud and would turn on and off throughout the night, waking you up You could not keep the AC fan on, which would have been enough white noise to drown out the people above usWhile I understand they are trying to keep non-guests away from the pool area, I felt uneasy at the pool and on the grounds as they are constantly “patrolling” This can make it difficult to relaxFor some bright spots: the location is beautiful and the grounds are meticulously kept The reception staff are all very nice There are only a handful of hotels on the marginal way If you want to be on the marginal way and have a pool, there aren’t many other options Overall it feels like a five start location with a three star hotel in terms of value and overall experience

Joelle

Awesome location right on Marginal Way The rooms are clean and nicely furnished The hot tubs and pools are open late, which is a great perk

The staff is awesome, very friendly and accommodating They have live music on certain nights during the summer, and nothing beats watching the sunset from the lawn No matter where you stay on this property (there are multiple buildings), you’re bound to love it

Kylie McPherson

Great spot and amenities Had some good service and some poor service Rooms are not worth the price

This place charges extra for everything Anyone over 3 is considered an adult in the room and has an extra cost The worst part was the constant scrutiny felt while staying here There was security everywhere and not for safety of the guests To catch people doing things that they can charge more for It was very hard to relax when the pool attendants are constantly checking wristbands and front staff is watching cameras of all parts of the resort Not sure I will return Definitely not worth the cost

We rented cottage #9 last week, and were just so pleased with our little place! Upon opening the front door, we could see the sunlight pouring in, and we could see how sparkly clean the floors and everything else wasThe bedrooms were just as bright with good blinds for darkness at night We found the beds to be very comfortable

I don’t know the name of our hosts, but they were very nice; I want to thank them for helping to make our vacation a good one

David Johnson

The owners are wonderful, friendly people! They gave helpful hints about the best places for different activities/food It’s a lovely little mom & pop old-fashioned motel, with clean, tasteful rooms We had a room with a little kitchenette (two burners, a little fridge, and some dishes, utensils, pots & pans)

A great place for families, too! There is a little playset (slide, swings) for kids and a shuffleboard for adults and older kids We went during peak season and in comparison to other places with similar amenities and ratings, this was definitely the best deal!

Jim Howe

The owners are fabulous people When we first got there they treated us like we were welcome in their home Even the people that stayed there were fabulous we got along with everyone and the cleaning lady Amanda and her daughter, excellent people

If you want a down-to-earth Mom and Pop feeling on vacation or you can relax and not worry about anything The Carriage House in Wells Beach Maine is highly recommended by us Jim and Pam Howe

Wonderful location, beautiful hotel, the rooms are very nice, pool area is very enjoyable with a hot tub Overall I really enjoyed the time I spent at this hotel The people that work there are very helpful and knowledgeable of the area

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Wells, Maine and I must say this is going down as one of the best I still call Layfette Ocean Front Resort the best hotel in Wells, Maine because it’s directly at the ocean and the workers are so nice and helpful, but Sea Mist I do recommend to anyone vacationing in Wells, Maine

We stay here every year for the past 10+ years The rooms are large and clean There is a small kitchenette which is super convenient

They have recently upgraded to larger smart TVs so we can watch NETFLIX, YouTube, Hulu or any other service If it rains there is an awesome indoor pool and hot tub There is not a better place to stay for the price We will be back again next year!

Clean room, friendly staff, and great parking Very happy that they were a pet friendly place for us to go with our dog No elevator to the second floor had to lug coolers and suitcases up and down the stairs

We knew there was a kitchenette but we’re not expecting no stove or hot plate We had a small dorm sized refrigerator and microwave Full set of dishes, bowls, glasses and utensils along with serving utensils or provided

Quaint, old guesthouse Definitely a viable option for your hotel dollars over the chains They weren’t really sweet up for business travelers though as the desk is not continually manned and breakfast doesn’t start until 8

My room was large and clean, albeit with a very small showerRecommended

I have only eaten once there and that was for Thanksgiving The table decor was interesting and they used real acorns in their decorations I had to keep my very young son from playing with them

The food was good This was years agoI visited during the free 🆓 comic book day that was happening across the state I ran into an old friend and we got caught up on events The room for the convention, that Jetpack Comics Ralph DiBenardo was in charge of, seemed a little small, but, the outside was also being used as well Nice looking garden Decent amount of parking 🅿️Good place to rent space for a medium to large gathering

Clean place to stay with friendly staff We always need a single night in Maine before we can have access to our condominium and this place was perfect Plenty of room for our family of 5 with 3 teen boys

Full kitchen and dining area, beds were comfortable and the AC kept the rooms cool on a really hot night Was quiet (we were in 12F top floor) and near the indoor and outdoor pools (although we didn’t use them) Local restaurant (Mikes seafood) was very close and I recommend the stop there This is our view from the master bedroom Was lovely

Liked• Dustin, the owner, was friendly and helpful The room is clean and very comfortable It’s a very quiet location, despite being, literally, a few moments’ walk from the beach

As a birdwatcher Iparticularly enjoyed the sparrows living in the birdhouses outside the window, and the views of egrets, a Bald Eagle, grackles, redwings, someof warbler and a sweet little flycatcher Birdwatching from my window is very appealing

Wells is a nice, quiet, seaport town with classic New England bones and people Moody’s is exactly what you would expect if you wanted to get away from a modern hotel, and settle in with a homey New England cottage right on the ocean You can feel the mid-20th century vibe talking to you as you rock on the wooden porches and feel the salty air breeze through

My only complaint is that, even expecting an old school seaside motel setting from 1980, I thought that the house and grounds could have been better kept up Not a game breaker, but just a bit bothersome Also, you get surrounded very tightly on all sides (there are two story and duplex units) by tourists and you can’t help but run into or see them all the time because of the shared common areas and converging lines of sight from the porches and patios Still, the proximity to the ocean, nice locals, and OUTSTANDING restaurants more than makes staying at Moody’s worth your while

Dolores Parsons

I enjoyed our stay It was a nice clean older cabin A older vibe of New England In our bathroom there was a antique looking soap dish

Cabins boasting a porch on both sides so 1 towards the Rachel Carson Reserve, and one facing the sea A nice touch I was up watching sunrise on beach and Rachel Carson reserve 2 0ut of 3 mornings The short walk to the beach is pretty and the whole experience had a great family vibe The host greets you as you pull up, the office was closed due to Covid 19 to protect everybody’s health Dustin the Mgr Owner was happy to give the layout of the neighborhood, and was happy to answer all questions

My daughter and I stayed here last night while on a work trip and we would definitely stay here again! We got a king bed and it was comfortable I asked for extra pillows and they immediately got them although the large pillows they provided already were enough, I just have sleep apnea and needed more The room was clean and smelled great

The front desk workers were pleasant Last year we stayed at a hotel up the street and it was over $350 for the night and while it was nice, it really wasn’t that much of a step up compared to this hotel We will be back!!this hotel
